20 Best Vegetables For Salmon (2022 Updated)

tl:dr- This doesn’t look like white meat chicken as it is dark in appearance. My cats did eat the one can they tried. There are comparable other Fancy Feast products at a lower price. There are other brands with higher quality ingredients and real white meat chicken without wheat gluten and by-products.

Backstory- My cats are picky and I have struggled to find foods they will eat. Even when I find something they like one day they will just decide they don’t want it anymore and refuse to eat it (I often wonder if it involves unannounced ingredient changes because it tends to happen when I open a new case).

I am on a budget and don’t like wasting food so I try to balance between quality and price, factoring in what I can get them to eat. My process involves getting 2 cans each at the store of different varieties and if they happily eat both of the same product then I place a Chewy order for a whole case.

This product- My cats have sampled one can and they happily ate it. If this were a lower price and actually looked like white meat chicken then I would give it 5 stars. The meat is dark and if it really is white meat and advertised as having no artificial preservatives or colors, then I am guessing the darker color comes from the wheat gluten and by products (this product also contains liver and turkey).

The color of the meat is uniform and there are flecks of green from the spinach. I think the Gourmet Naturals White Meat Chicken Recipe in Gravy is a better option. Other Fancy Feast comparable foods are Sliced Chicken Feast in Gravy and Chunky Chicken Feast (this one is a pate with chunks mixed in).

Whether from this brand or another, I find it best to research and compare the ingredients, quality, and price. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own.

In fact, the Chicken Florentine is by far “the” wet food of choice amongst our finicky felines (as many a cat owner will tell you, cats are indeed “finicky!)! There coats are shiny, they absolutely gobble it up when they’re given it, and they simply cannot get enough of it, ever! It literally is a swarm of cats descending upon the unfortunate soul in the kitchen when they hear the can opening! The can I received was actually opened for our sweet Maddie; nonetheless, her brothers Eddie and Raffy showed up, looking for their respective “cuts” as well! I was gifted these Fancy Feast Medleys in 3 different shredded varieties including White Meat Chicken Fare, Wild Salmon Fare, and Tuna Fare in exchange for my honest review. My cat enjoyed these Shredded Medleys.

He typically prefers seafood and the fishier the better for him so I think his favorite was the Tuna Fare. I’m sure many cat owners could agree that cats love to slurp up the gravy from their meals, and my boy is no different.

With that being said, these do already have an average amount of gravy, but we both would’ve like to have seen quite a bit more and perhaps even smaller bits of shredded meat, as well. No particular reason other than just preference really.

Flavor wise, I do think he enjoyed them and nevertheless we are a Fancy Feast household through and through, so 2 paws up for Fancy Feast Shredded Medleys! Unfortunately, I do not like this new FF Medleys packaging decor.

I really like the previous packaging. It was bright, attractive, and easily caught my eye. In my opinion, the new current packaging is so dated and dull on color coordination, very very difficult to read, and terribly busy and hard to distinguish the flavors from the brand in relation to the font and colors.

It’s just too much and I highly prefer the original Medleys packaging, unfortunately.

I ordered the Avoderm Salmon for a houseguest who brought her dog and was running low on dog food. Chewy was great and delivered the next day. The visiting dog loves Avoderm and has a very silky coat because of it.

Our dog tried to sneak bites from the guest bowl too. At our next visit, I will ask the vet if it is OK to switch our dog to AvoDerm.

I have 3 rescues (all are mixed breed). I’ve been struggling to find “chicken free” dry foods since one of my pups has been suffering from bad skin allergies. This one here, they loved it!!! All 3 of them ate it right up!! Strongly recommend!!.

Not the food’s fault, our European Dobermann is not adapting & not able to keep it down. Went through the transition phase, it was Ok, once completely switched over, Mojo has not been able to keep this food down.

Everything Changed. Must stop immediately.

The ingredients changed summer of 2022. I started my dog on this brand years ago for the probiotics and holistic factor as I did the research and found the ingredient list to be high quality. Post Covid I understand things have been changing on many levels when the bag weight was decreased from 30lb to 28lb.

Unfortunately the bag label also changed and as I finished the old bag happened to notice the kibble was significantly drier and smaller. So I looked at the label and found variances although the bag says nothing about a new formula.

Probiotics went from 31million CFU to 10 million. New product added taurine. No iron on new label but ingredient list shows Iron Proteinate (same as original and still 9th ingredient from last; so I can only assume there’s no less than 275 mg), new has no vitamin c, more egg than barley, and a couple other variances.

Due to lack of transparency and visual quality variance, I’m personally inclined to doubt quality of manufacturer as it’s clearly not the same. I’m still buying this for my dog but looking around. Im not saying this is horrible food.

I purchased intentionally at onset in lieu of adding probiotics to food. 10 bil CFU is standard, so the new food does provide the daily allowance. I’m on the fence why they wouldn’t indicate there’s a change and for not labeling iron as a mineral.

The way the ingredients list changed doesn’t seem like a big deal but when I look at quality, I can see noticeable difference as to something I may not give my dog. It looks grey instead of moist, rich and nutritious.

For these reasons, I suspect the nutrition label isn’t telling the whole story. Also, you’d probably not notice a new volume weight because the bag doesn’t point out/ advertise *new size but does list it on the bottom.

The price is still the same, and effort went into changing packaging so the 2lbs is barely noticed. Chewy CS confirmed the size change moving forward, when I inquired. I guess it’s up to interpretation if these are concerns but wanted to share what info isn’t being shared transparently from the manufacturer and misidentified nutritional content labeling.

I usually swap bags and never would’ve known this formula changed had I not saw the kibble was dry. I actually thought it was a bad batch of food but guess this is the new normal for Dr Gary’s. Photos show quality and mind you that the old large kibble recipe was at the bottom of my food container and lost some of the moisture.

The fresh out of bag nuggets looked almost wet but you can see what you were getting considering how healthy it still looks, months after opening.

We are SO happy with this formula of food! It has been impossible to find kibble that is above 550 kcals for my poodle who can not keep any weight on. This kibble was the perfect match though. It fit my budget better than the competing brands with similar kcals and formulas and it also was a win for my SUPER picky poodle who sometimes will go many days without eating if he doesn’t like the food.

He scarfed his first bowl of this down with no problems! We are going to pair it with the freeze dried food we use and hopefully this will be the food to FINALLY put some healthy weight on my scrawny boy! I’m also very pleased with how well it was manufactured.

The bag came very tightly sealed and has a zipper seal so it can be kept right in the bag and stay fresh! We will be buying this food again! It’s a lesser known brand (honestly hoping it stays that way so I don’t have to go on crazy searches like I do for our old foods that constantly were out of stock!).

Love the quality of this food, love that my Great Dane loves it. the packaging is the BEST I’ve ever seen. all great except the kibble is so small my cats can eat it! This is Giant Breed specific dog food.

why cannot the kibble be giant sized too! Ugh. anyone with a large jowled dog, I’m sure would agree this small kibble is a pain. one look to the left. all over the floor. one look to the right. all over the floor!!! Unfortunately, my Dane will not eat off the floor.

well that is Fortunate in other aspects, anyway he eats his food from a standing dog feeder and therefore more distance for it to fall from his mouth and more momentum to bounce off his rug onto the hardwood floor which gives it just the right platform to bounce, tumble and roll all over the place! But with all that and it’s a big pain, picking it up and it’s like stepping on a pebble when you are barefoot and that just hurts but with even that, I continue to buy.

because all the good in this dogfood out weighs all that! Its truly the best food that my dog loves that I have ever found. Now my dog isn’t really picky. He will eat what I give him at least a little or when he is just really hungry but he gets excited for this food even still now after feeding him it for at least 4-5 months now.

Was using Best breed for large dogs for quite awhile, then suddenly I would get a bag and my girls poops got really soft, ordered another bag and poops went back to normal. Then another bag and my girls wouldn’t eat it, another bag and they ate it right up.

So I decided to take them off large breed and try this one. First bag was good, then second bag loose poops, 3rd bag no issues at all. Then just received another bag and immediately bad poops and a lot of them.

Nothing else had changed with them or their treats. I tried a little experiment. I had some food still left over from bag 3, so gave them it and poops immediately went back to normal. Then I tried the most current bag again, and immediately poops went all soft and they had 3 times as many that day.

I can’t deal with inconsistency, so I am changing foods.

Currently fostering a dog who did not have a good stool from the beginning. The first couple of weeks we chalked it up to intestinal parasites and whatever street food he had been eating, but when it didn’t clear after all of the medications and solid regular diet I did some research.

Found a recommendation for this brand from a (GS owner) neighbor and gave it a try. KinnyCarl took to it right away and I didn’t even try to blend it in; I just immediately switched him over. The stool we were dealing with couldn’t have been any worse anyway.

Within three days he was normal. I would certainly try it again if I had any dog with a sensitive tummy. Currently on auto delivery as I continue to foster so highly recommend!.

My three year old Boxer Aussie had a bad case of Lyme last year. Thankfully she is fully recovered, but it made me more aware that I need to be mindful of her joint health. A local small pet store recommended Darford’s hip and joint treats with glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate.

My VERY finicky dog loves these scattered throughout her kibble at mealtime. What ever she wants if it will keep her spry and healthy. Chewy offers bulk quantities!!!.

These are great treats. The ingredient list is always the deciding factor for me when considering what treats to buy my dogs, and I am impressed by what’s in these (and what isn’t in them!). My dogs love them.

I just wish they weren’t so big for little dogs, and if they had to make them big, make them in a shape that’s easier to break without having them crumble. Maybe a perforation or something. Other than that, I’m very happy with these.

My little Maltese and Shih Tzu mixed dog just loves anything with bacon. The Darford Grain Free Bacon Recipe Dog Treats, 12 oz pack is her favorite. All she has to do is hear the bag rustling in the panty and her ears are up and her tail is wagging.

She is almost three years old, so I want to make sure she is getting nutritious food and this Darford treats being grain free are good for her. She loves them like they are a piece of bacon straight out of the pan.

She has other treats, but the grain free ones are the ones that I want her to continue to enjoy and I will be switching all her treats over to the Darford brand. The treats look like they taste yummy and telling from her reaction they must taste great to her.

She gets them and before you can walk away she is wagging for another. I think she would eat the entire pack if she could she just seems to really enjoy the Darford Grain Free Bacon Recipe Dog Treats.

So this will be my brand of choice going forward, as my dog continues to enjoy her treats each day. From her reaction I would recommend them to other dog lovers.

I don’t normally write reviews, but on this product, I thought I should. I wanted a small treat for my chow hound that had glucosamine in it. I read the reviews and saw that some purchasers had found bugs in their batches.

When I opened the box (and bag inside) I thought, bummer, bugs. Then I looked closer and saw that what I thought were bugs were actually flax seeds. I am not saying that the other people that made reviews were incorrect on what they received.

I am just saying that I almost returned mine as well until I realized my mistake. Miss Maggs approves and so do I :).

I opened the box, and the treats are inside a plastic bag, with a twist tie. on the outside of the plastic bag / in the creases, I found some dirt, tiny worms, and white silky web material. I didn’t think anything of it, until after picking off the 3rd or 4th one.

Wish I could’ve taken a picture and submitted it. I kept the package since the treats themselves seem to be ok. (wasn’t going to ship a 15 lb box back!). but wonder if this happened to anybody else?.

I have two Boston Terriers, one is very picky. He sniffed the treat for half a second & took off like a bandit. They get very excited when I ask if they want a cookie. Best treat I’ve purchased. I was pleased to share baggies with my coworkers’ doggys because the sealed bag inside the box came packed with treats.

I bought 2 envelopes of this junk under the impression that. garlic, soy, miso was like a nice teriyaki flavor. All our mouths were on fire!! This junk was so hot! No warning on the package whatsoever.

How can this be 4. 5 stars?! My husband and i were furious. My kids could not eat it. I wasted 2 pounds of expensive fish! I’m not touching any of your blends again. cannot trust your brand now. Disappointed is an understatement.

I received a sample of One Sheet Pan glazed salmon and vegetables. I used the seasoning mix with chicken and vegetables. I am not a salmon lover so I either eat chicken or turkey. I placed my casserole pan in the refrigerator to bring everything together.

I was expecting the seasoning mix to be salty and take the flavor away. I followed the directions that were on the packet using peppers, onions , celery and carrots. I was pleasantly surprised to see how tender and moist my chicken was and the taste added to the vegetables.

My adult children enjoyed the taste of the vegetables and chicken. I was expecting to have leftovers but my children changed that for me. McCormick, you hit this out of the ball field. This inspired me to purchase the packets.

While I was putting the packet in my cart, I was asked about the seasoning. I informed the shopper that the seasoning has the right amount of spices and no salty taste and that your family will enjoy how it makes your food taste.

After reading the ingredients, I knew we wouldn’t be happy with it on our salmon and since I had thawed chicken out, decided to use it on that instead. It smelled wonderful while cooking and kept the skinless chicken breast moist.

The flavor though was very overpowering – my husband is a fan of spicy foods and he said it is very spicy – I was hesitant to try it, as I’m not a fan of most spicy foods. The brown sugar helped cut the heat, but I was glad I didn’t use it on the salmon – it would have been totally overpowering of the flavor.

I had left over chicken in my salad the next day and I liked the flavor much better – I had mixed my salad greens with mayonaise, so between that and it being cold, the flavor was milder. If asked, I would give a positive reccomendation if the person liked spice and was using on a neutral flavored fish, chicken or even as a rub for pork tenderloin.

Wolf Husky Malamute Redbone Coonhound and Britney spaniel (I know, lol) mix dog-like service animal registered furry kids with extremely fickle diet sensitivities. They’ll eat anything, but one of them sheds like crazy when the food isn’t good and the other has a whole spectrum of gnarly issues from sometimes even very expensive brands.

This is my most successful high water mark middle ground. It’s affordable more than I realized as it lasts me longer than cheaper stuff as the cheaper stuff the dogs won’t stop eating, pooping, repeat.

I’m assuming it’s because of nutrient deficiency in the food that they’re seeking or perhaps the fillers in the formula isn’t filling them. Anyway, I’m spending the same but they’re eating less but doing more.

No more diet issues. No more phantom injuries or soreness or weird allergy apparent skin problems. No more super stanky dinosaur dumps! Between this and the canned stuff from same formula I’m seeing something close to the ideal version of my babies.

Definitely happy. Definitely recommending. Plus I’ve read lots about grain free actually being dangerous and causing severe heart problems for dogs. They’re omnivores, some grains are needed in their diet.

I’d accept grain free arguments for cats but in dogs, nah. It’s an upsell that’s misleading. Anyway, I tried science diet (I used it years ago to much satisfaction and it seems the food is only better now) again after seeing them making the safe kibble list and unquestionably it was the right decision.

My boy has been eating Hill’s Diet food products for most of his life. He was eating Prescription Diet Metabolic and Mobility for a few years, but feeding time was always a chore. He wouldn’t want to eat it unless topped with boiled chicken breast pieces or canned prescription diet food.

It was expensive enough that I hated wasting food (because he’d eat around it), but as it was prescribed, I didn’t want to not follow his vet’s orders UNTIL there were “supply-chain problems” and that food became extremely expensive and unavailable.

I took advantage of that inability to acquire the more expensive prescription diet food and switched almost very abruptly to this slightly-less-expensive food. It’s the only time that I’ve seen him eat dry food voraciously just for the taste of it since he was an actual puppy and ate to please me.

He’s five now and knows what he wants and has no problems expressing himself when he’s not happy. This food makes meal time less stressful. I love hearing him crunching on his dry food, but I also know that I can trust the brand for healthful and nutritious meals.

At first, I worried about abandoning the prescription diet because it has the added supplements for his arthritic joints. But these newly-formulated options also have the Glucosamine and Chondroitin that the vet recommends and, just in case this formula has less than what is recommended for therapeutic levels, he is still taking the supplements with MSM as well.

That, he does to make me happy; he eats this food out of pure joy. Is it the Lamb and brown rice? I don’t know. All I know is that I am not throwing away food anymore.

We had a great summer with lots of doggie training. Unfortunately this led to an explosion of calorie intake, now I’m wrestling how to get the weight back down. My dogs are standard (rat) terrier/ small breed.

For a small dog, carrying an extra 1Lb is a really big deal!! I began research on dogfood choices for calorie content (Thank you Chewy for posting Nutritional Info Tab on pet food !!!) but quickly realized shy of a prescriptive diet the choices were few.

Hills Science Diet stood out to me for small breeds. I started Ava’s diet change in July but saw no significant change until mid-September when I switched Ava to Hills Perfect Weight. Ava is down 1. 2 lb after approx.

60 days (2. 75 lbs to go). Seeing success, I bought the big bag of kibble and changed Lucy over as well. Lucy has lost 0. 5 lb (1. 5 lb to go) after 30 days incorporating Hills Science Diet as part of our change along with exercise and treat adjustments.

They get fed 2x per day mixed with wet food, quantity as discussed with my vet. I also like the pellet size of the kibble. I’ve been able to switch out high calorie treats and use the kibble instead as rewards in toys and puzzles.

It’s my opinion that Hills Science Diet Perfect Weight is helping me reach ideal weights for Ava & Lucy.

Bought a packet as a trial yesterday, because that must get bored with the same type of food all the time? Gave a handful to each cat to try. Well! The greedy Coco, ‘woofed’ hers down even quicker than usual, and the usually fussy Luna finished all hers up too! Mega surprised I was.

Could this be their ‘chocolate’ equivalent? I hope this continues, if it does would love bigger packaging.

Georgie the cat visits me everyday, helped me keep my sanity whilst I was going through harsh cancer treatment. Keeping me company throughout and continued keeping me company whilst in isolation through the pandemic.

I find it an underpayment for what Georgie has done for me, by feeding the cat over the whole of this period. It has to be GoCat by Purina, Georgie thinks it’s just purrfect! Unfortunately the photo upload is currently not working?.

My cat is 10 years old now and has always only eaten Purina products. Felix wet food in morning, lunch time and Gocat dry food in evening. She likes GO-CAT® Crunchy and Tender Senior Chicken so much that she licks the bowl clean for a few minutes after all food as gone.

We never ever get any wasted food using these products.

Return customers please read carefully. You are now paying the same amount for a. 26 lb bag that has always been 30 lbs! 5 lb bag now 4 lbs! Customers being significantly shorted! If you have always bought the 30lb bag you’ve just been shorted $15 in dog food! Fromm’s always more expensive and now they’re significantly decreasing bag size! Such bad deceptive business.

Bye bye Fromm’s. There’s many other good dog food out there and I would never do business with such a deceptive company.

My toy Australian shepherd, Bartlet, ate 116 ibuprofen gel caps in 2014 and it was between 1 hour and twenty minutes and one hour and 45 minutes (We don’t know exactly when the little dragon jumped up and got the bottle of the kitchen counter top while I had briefly , left the house to run a rare errand without him.

) before the blue gunk was puked up at the Vets. The Doctor told me he may not recover and if he did. he would be lethargic. He said he would no longer run like lightening and fly through the sky catching balls in mid air.

THEN. He hesitated and said “I have heard of one dog , in all my years, at a colleague’s practice that did make a full recovery and Bart is incredibly healthy. Let’s get him treated and we’ll play it day by day.

” NOW. Bart is famous at that hospital. FULL recovery. Now the Doc knows of two dogs whose kidney levels and liver repaired themselves before toxicity could cause permanent damage. Could be the breed.

but if we are what we eat and Bartlet is AWESOME then. since Fromm Salmon A’La’Veg is all he eats then. FROMM is impressive too. My dogs love this food. Their breath isn’t stinky and they are smart and glossy and they smell like LOVE and warm paper when it comes straight out of the copy machine and Bart is now 12 and very much a puppy at heart.

Great, high quality dog food made in small batches. Feeding your dog a high quality food is beyond important and you can see it in their coat, teeth, vet bills, and behavior. There are a lot of high quality brands in all price ranges and although Fromm isn’t the cheapest, it’s not the most expensive.

When you get what you pay for, why would you feed your dog garbage? That’s what anything you can buy at the grocery store is. My guys have been eating Fromm for years and everyone from the Frenchies to the Pittie love it.

If you’ve reached this page, you are probably the type of person that has begun educating themselves about wet vs. dry and low quality vs. high quality ingredients. It’s so hard to make a good decision when there are so many contrasting opinions out there.

I think most would agree that wet is better than dry, but are grain-free and organic diets really necessary, or just the result of a very successful marketing campaign from the likes of Blue Buffalo et al.

? Like me, you probably want to give your cat(s) food of the highest quality, without breaking the wallet, without the gimmicks, and without having to prepare homemade meals twice a day. I have three cats that couldn’t be any more different from one another.

With one food type, Cat #1 gets diarrhea every two hours, with another food type, Cat #2 throws up every day. Cat #2 and 3 are very picky eaters. Because of this, we have tried so many different brands and flavors to make sure our cats are happy and healthy.

Anyone who has gone through this process knows just how frustrating it can be. List of some foods we tried: Blue Buffalo Basics (dry), Natural Balance Premium Ultra (Dry and Wet versions), Natural Balance L.

I. D (dry), Purina One for kittens (dry; came free when we adopted), Wellness (wet), Innova (wet), Simply Nourish (dry) and probably 3-4 others that I can’t remember right now. Nature’s Recipe (wet) is the only thing that does not cause any digestive issues in any of our cats (except Blue Buffalo Basics (dry), which is very costly and none of them liked the taste of it).

Not only does it have all of the high quality ingredients you would expect of a premium cat food, but also the cats love it! Its always amusing to watch Cat #3 inhale his share and try to steal from the other two.

We usually need to feed him separately or put him in the bathroom when he’s done eating– LOL, he always goes crazy when we do this and starts meowing and tries to open the door. None of the other foods we’ve tried had this effect.

As soon as we open one, all of the cats come running into the kitchen and go crazy. Rather than being a ‘puree’ wet food, it has strips/chunks of meat, so it even looks more appetizing. So far, we’ve only tried the grain free formula, and only the chicken and ocean fish flavors.

We’ve had very good success with both, although the cats show a slight preference for the chicken. It seems like non-grain free version is also very good (except it has grains – which may not actually be an issue for your cat), but keep in mind that the grain free also had the benefit of more protein (11 vs.

10%), meaning that your cat will probably need to eat less of it. It also has more dietary fiber (2 vs. 1. 5%) for a healthy digestive system. Cost is always an issue though. This is what I do – I check Petco.

com regularly for deals. Sometimes you will hit the jackpot – when this happens, stock up! For example, today, Petco. com had this exact product on sale. On top of that, they had a promo code for $30 off and free shipping on orders of $100 or more.

Many brands won’t qualify for this promo code, but Nature’s Recipe always has in my experience. So today, I ended up buying 5 cases. Still not insanely cheap, but puts it in my budget range. As an alternative, you could get 6 packs of the non-grain free version for the same price with the Petco deal.

I’ve spent so much time and money trying out different types of cat food. Usually, you need to transition a cat to a new food over seven days. This is frustrating, because then you need to spend 10-14 days cleaning up diarrhea and vomit while you wait to see if switching foods actually worked.

I’ve spent the last few months with these problems. Now, these problems are gone. The least I could do was write a good review for this under-recognized, amazing brand.

I have had such a difficult time finding a wet cat food that my picky cat will eat. This is one of the few cat foods that not only he’s willing to eat but actually cries for when I go into the pantry that I keep his food in.

My cat has feline idiopathic cystatisis & it’s extremely important that he eats as much wet food as possible vs. dry cat food. All of the natures recipe cat foods he seems to like. It’s also so easy to put out for him because of the ready made containers which means I don’t have to go searching for his wet cat food dishes.

The cat food seems to have an equal distribution of broth to meat ratio that allows the food to stay fresher longer. I know I can leave the container out & not have to worry about him not eating it in a few hours when it’s been sitting there.

It saves a lot of time & I feel comfortable knowing that my cat will get another serving or two out of the food he has out without having to wait for me to put out fresh cat food. This is truly ideal for picky eaters, especially those with FIC.

I will have to say that when opening this, I found it to be very impressive. The chicken was pieces of shredded white meat all in a nice broth. No bad smells. Almost looked good enough to eat yourself.

My cats are very fussy. They all love this however, most will just lap up the broth. They tend to leave most of the chicken. It’s not the brands fault, just my little guys. They tends to like things along the chopped mashed side with gravy.

I give this to them as a treat after I chop up the chicken and mash it. I enjoy knowing that they are getting something healthy every now and then.

Never mind these are mini hockey pucks, but my Havanese boy seems to like this food. First, I soak his food in coconut milk or Solid Gold Turkey Bone broth. Afterwards, they swell but not completely soften.

This food is chock full of Super Foods and is good for dogs diagnosed with colitis. I have noticed significant improvement in less upset stomach episodes. Poops are firm and regular. I tested this food by chewing a small bite and spitting it out.

It tastes pretty good; if I were a dog I would eat this too! Also, this brand has more vitamins (omega 3 & 6, pre/probiotics) to offer than the expensive Hills Science Sensitive Skin/Stomach dry dog food.

Purina Sensitive Stomach and Skin, Salmon and Rice for small breeds is also a comparable choice, but my little boy grew tired of it. So, my fingers are crossed on this one.

Our Golden Retriever Puppy has had stomach/ diarrhea issues from about six months on. The vet had us try every dog food under the sun – some ridiculously expensive to no avail. Eventually, he started having water like bms with blood.

We were freaking out thinking something was seriously wrong. Finally, they had him come in for an ultrasound and blood testing and found nothing wrong with him. Stressed, we ordered a small bag of this food to see if maybe he was allergic to chicken protein and/or grains.

Well, for the first time in months, he’s having solid, perfect poops. It’s a dang miracle. I wish we had tried this food before all the expensive vet visits – if your dog is having stomach issues, this is a MUST.

Our dog loves the food and we love that he’s finally healthy again.

This food has been my Blue Heelers cure! Opal has always had bad gas and soft BMs, since we have rescued her. We have tried a ton of different foods, and this is the only food that works. All of the other foods gave her stomach issues.

I have noticed since she’s been on this food she has had: better digestion, a softer coat and more energy. I love the great ingredients (no by-products, corn, wheat, soy, etc. ) because I won’t feed that garbage to my dog.

Opal loved this food at first, but now she’s a bit bored of it (which is typical for her), she has been on it for a few months now. So we mix in some cooked ground turkey and she scarfs it down. We are thinking about trying the Solid Gold Buck Wild Venison to fix her picky issues.

I highly recommend this food for any dog with a sensitive stomach!.

The ingredients appear to be high quality and this attracted me to this product. Unfortunately, just after buying a 15-lb bag of this food, I had a senior panel run on my cat at his annual check up. Turns out he has signs of early kidney changes and should be on a low protein/low phosphorus diet.

Compared to the recommended kidney diet for my cat, this food is relatively high in protein (~40% vs ~30%) and very high in phosphorous (~1. 4 vs ~0. 5). Kidney problems are extremely common in older cats; I wish I had known this before my purchase.

I would otherwise recommend this food.

Cats are finicky. Period. I don’t know how many times I’ve purchased a small bag of food or a couple of cans, and my cats “act” like they love it. until I buy the big bag or a case of food, then suddenly they don’t.

And I’m left with a whole bunch of food my cats won’t eat. But, not this brand, not this flavor. My cats have never tired of it, even after many years. They do eat also eat a variety of canned food, but this is the only dry food that I buy.

Will your cats like it? Who knows? Cats are finicky. But it’s definitely worth a try. Plus, as far as kibble goes, it’s one of the better ones.

Our Loki had been the picture of health on Blue Buffalo dry cat food for her entire life with no problems. I confess that I let myself get skittish after reading an unverified statement that the Blue Buffalo company had been bought by a Chinese company.

I switched her to the FROMM Four Star Grain Free Salmon TunaChovy Recipe Dry Formula about the beginning of May. By early July we began noticing that she wasn’t as active as usual but just marked it off to her becoming an older cat.

By mid of July, she had developed chronic psoriasis along her backside and a constant clogged and runny nose. Also, her right eye, once bright green has developed a reddish brown crescent on it and now appears to be blind.

She is losing fur and weight at an alarming rate and her once beautiful plume of a tail looks like a stick. This past week she hasn’t eaten much and is sleeping most of the time. Clearly,​ we have a sick kitty.

We have her scheduled for a vets appointment as soon as they can see her. Mind you, this is an indoor cat who has had no contact with other cats and ZERO health problems up until now. I’m convinced that three months on this brand of food has made our baby sick!.

Ignore the idiots who rated this one star. Read their reviews. Most of the complaints are about Walmart, or dented/leaking cans. Basically, rating curbside shopping and not the product. The product can possibly be mushy or messy due to shipping procedures (?), but what I had was a single filet.

I tried it straight from the can: tasty. I added it to pasta salad: delicious. Salmon is expensive. This product is relatively inexpensive, and I I will be buying more.

Shocked is what I was when I opened the can. Because of the reviews I was looking forward to serving this for lunch today. On a salad plate I placed a pretty foundation of lettuce, slices of ripe avocado, a slice of lemon and made the ice tea.

Before calling my guest to the table I took the beautiful can from the cabinet and opened it. Expecting the salmon to at least somewhat resemble the photo on the can – clearly showing three fillets of salmon – you can imagine how disappointing it was to discover a little bit of flaked salmon swimming in lots and lots of salty water.

No fillets as advertised. Not one. Zip. Nada. None. A mess, to say the least. Beautiful can but there was nothing attractive or appealing inside the lovely can. I asked my guest to have a look and a taste.

He agreed it was an extreme mess – looked more like salmon soup, he said and way to salty. Fortunately, I keep other fish in the cupboard and we shared a tin of smoked oysters. This is the first time I have ever tried or purchased this brand.

This canned Salmon filets are absolutely surprisingly awesome quality—for being canned fish-it is not fishy tasting at all. Totally this is a hidden gem in the canned fish aisle at Walmart—but not to be missed or ignored…it goes perfectly into a green salad for a decent healthy lunch or canned be eaten as entree also by it self with rice or pasta.

Definitely if you are decent quality canned salmon, that is a nice size portion-look no further! 🙂 It’s a Must Try!!.

After carefully going over the ingredient list with my vet, we chose this food because it supposedly did not contain any ingredients that my dog was allergic to. However, there is clearly something in this food that is not listed on the ingredients list that is causing her allergies to go into overdrive.

I am very disappointed.

I had never heard of the brand of dog food before and never saw it in any stores near me. I got a good deal on it online so decided to give it a try. My little dog loves this food and I mix it with another food to ensure that she can digest it well.

Great dog food and even better if you can get it on sale.

This is the only non grain free dry food my grand dog can eat as everything else has at least one of her allergens in it. It took a lot of research to find the right one. She’s allergic to many food items commonly found in dog food.

Elphie l o v e s the food-we transitioned over from Natural Instinct raw food because we needed a more convenient food that could travel better…the size of the trays is less than natural instinct so we’ve gone from 500g trays of raw meat to 394g of 70% meat…and she now needs half a tray of forthglade at each meal when we were getting 3 meals out of the other one.

Meals are more expensive b u t we absolutely cannot deny that she loves the food a l o t more than Natural Instinct-it is gone in 15 seconds if not less, whereas before she would often leave her food-she’s 7 now and has always been given raw food-sometimes she’d just leave it for days.

Not anymore…we’re really pleased we changed over. We were sent a code to try the dry food-but by the time our 48 trays were used up and we went to repurchase the code had expired which was really annoying because where am I going to store another 48 trays? So it was nice to get a code, but bitter sweet because we couldn’t use it.

My dogs definitely enjoyed this product. The cans are quite small and having large breed dogs it isn’t good value for money (this cans are targeted at small breeds); however, I did purchase them on sale and it was a brand that I knew (I had been buying their cat food for some time and the cats were very much enjoying the product).

Would highly recommend if you own a small breed dog. #furryfriends.

My dogs absolutely love this. It’s so fresh and nutritious for them and never seems to fail. If I had to improve this product I would make a few different sizes of cans as the patte doesn’t suit my dogs.

Kinder sollen ja auch nicht so salzig essen. Aber die Rigatoni sind wirklich ungenießbar. Kann die positiven Bewertungen hier nicht nachvollziehen.
