I am very happy with this kit so far. I have planted most everything that was able to start indoors, and they are doing great! I think this would make a great gift for any one you know who is just getting into gardening.

Yes I used to be so bad with plants that when I shop for plants the plants are trembling and saying please don’t buy me. I’ve heard what you did to joe. Joe was a cactus of mine. Joe never needed any care whatsoever.

Didn’t even need water to flourish. We I killed joe with a plant stimulator that I built myself. Joe was Florishing until I put the plant stimulator in front of joe and you guessed it joe was dead In a week.

I killed so many plants in my life that the Italian mafia wanted to give me a job. The plants in retail stores are pleading with me to walk away and not purchase them. They say to me pleeeeease don’t by me cause I’ll be dead in a week but I didn’t listen I just buy another one only to confirm later that the plant was right.

Til I got the aero garden and now it really does make me a good gardener. I love the simplicity to growing great plants and now it’s a lot of fun and exciting also. Thank you aero garden.

When i first got my aero garden it came with different herb pods. I planted them and they grew so well. It eas gun watching them and i got a lot ofherbs. Then i hung them up to dry and put them on little jars which i have used in my baking and cooking.

Then i tried lettuce and oh my goodness. did i get lettuce. Unfortunately i. had an accident and was out of commission for several. weeks. i hada friend. who emptied the garden for me and turned it off.

I have just cleaned out the last batch and. started a. new one. I love. the lettuce because i can use it to make myself a salad and on sandwiches and dont have to buy bagged that gets rotten and ends.

up in the garbage. I love. my aero garden. and. cant wait. to tryy. own. seeds.

The butter lettuce is my favorite for snipping off a few leaves to toss on a fresh sandwich, though honestly, all three are good. Greens for the store are only good 2-3 days, and at this point of the pandemic I only shop 1-2 times a month.

It’s been really nice having something fresh and green available every day, whenever I want it. All three lettuces grow super fast. It’s pretty rewarding to watch. At this point (month 3) I’m able to have a little side salad at least once a week as well as sandwich fixings.

The plants keep chugging along! Once the plants are big enough to start harvesting leaves I recommend going a little bit light on the nutrients (3/4 cap in a Harvest Elite). My first round I ended up with some “burn” around the edges from over-feeding them.

Your plants are happier and your nutrients last longer, so everyone wins! This collection is sweeter and crisper than the Heritage Salads mix. If you found the dark purple leaves of that collection too bitter or soft, give this one a try! I think for an actual dinner salad, the ideal mix would be mostly these three plus a little of the Deer Tongue and Red Sails from the other collection for a dash of extra flavor (and some basil, because if you have even one basil plant, you have a TON of basil.

).

So far this Swiss chard plant has been easy to grow. It makes a great addition to salads and looking forward to my next harvest to add to some other recipes. It is low maintenance. Currently growing in a container.

Usually water every other day because of the warmer, dry climate.

What a beautiful little swiss chard plant! The colors will brighten up any garden. It’s rather small, so I need to let it grow bigger before I start harvesting. Excited to start cooking with it though.

It’s also a bit high maintenance and needs to be watered often or it gets wilted.

This chard is so pretty in my garden. It’s nearly tripled in size since I received a month ago. I have yet to taste it but, if it’s as good as it looks I’m really looking forward to including it in some of my meals.

I do have to protect it from the sun after 3 hrs in sun the plant collapses. But springs right back to life in the shade.

Best grass seed I’ve ever tried. Excellent results in sunny areas; and pretty good results in dense shade. Fast germination. Very drought and heat tolerant. Contains Texas Bluegrass which self-repairs bare spots.

The ACE Hardware description is “Jonathan Green Black Beauty Dense Shade Mixed Sun/Partial Shade Grass Seed 7”. I thought “7” was some kind of version number. Turns out that they left off “pounds” so I bought two tiny bags (14 pounds) for the price of a 25 pound bag.

All the bags look the same size online, so you have to be careful. Jonathon Green even sells a 50 pound bag that I cannot find here.

This product is incredible!!! I will never use any other grass seed again. I removed dead grass and weeds, added fresh soil and sprinkled seed down. Watered as recommenced and within 1 week I had beautiful green grass and I could not be more pleased! It was recommended to me by one of the knowledgeable staff from Aubuchon Hardware, Beverly, MA.

Mtn Prides are hardy (blight resistant) and delicious. I’ve had issues with blight since moving to my current neighborhood but these plants have held up well (with regular spraying) and delivered an abundance of excellent tomatoes.

We had enough to share with several neighbors/friends, and canned several quarts for the winter, plus we have eaten on them everyday. Many ripened all within a few days, but we also have more coming along and ripening steadily.

I will be planting more for next year’s crop.

Decided to try this melon here in Georgia (USA) for 2022. Not disappointed. Yields were really good, sized up very well. Flavor and sweetness was topnotch. The pale color of the melons means no chance of sunburn which can be an issue here.

Highly recommended for anyone with longer warmer growing season. I do plan to grow this again. Thnx for listening! Randy/GA.

Cal Ace tomato seeds and plants used to be readily available in the 1980’s, but they disappeared when hybrids became popular. Luckily the heirloom varieties are back in style and these beauties are among them.

I have had great success growing these tomatoes in Utah. The plants are productive, the tomatoes taste great, and are good for canning. My favorite tomato to grow.

I grew these radishes right alongside the french breakfast variety – both as seed tapes to start. The french breakfast really took off, very abundant harvest with large, flavorful radishes. I eat all the greens too.

The Champions didnt produce much more than greens, in many cases no radish at all, and almost no full size. Very spicy though, when they did produce.

Sorry to say that in my experience, I was not overly impressed. Only about 80% of these grew to be edible and they were much too small. Gave four stars only because of all the stuff I put in the garden, radishes are my favorite and it takes a lot to cause me to “turn them in” and replant.

These germinated quickly and grew well, but are fairly bitter to taste. Will try a different variety next time.

Very good radishes.I would recomend these radishes to anybody.easy to grow. you have to watch them carefully,so they dont get to big. Otherwise these are the best radishes you can buy.

I bought this a couple years ago. Accidentally had an oops with one of the dogs so had to put into another container. I did try planting a few. Had 7 to 8 out of 10 seeds grow well. Word of advice, look up what zone you live in and find out what time during which months you should plant them, and Write it down.

Just in case write down the best temperatures and if they need shade, partial shade, or full sun. Reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star is that. Also, you will need at least wise, 1 pack of these seeds per person per family.

maybe 2packs in case of really bad weather or growing difficulty. Also best to write down what plants work best for companion planting. You will need a pack of herbs and spices (which can help boost the yield) and a couple of flowers to plant around or near your plants from this packet or they will get eaten by bugs or rabbits etc.

This is a good kit. Only needs the zone lists and when to plant what with who or it will fail. If you have a greenhouse you might not have to worry about that at all.

Great kit! Seeds germinated on paper towels in 2-7 days. Most had a 90% germination rate. Zucchini had 33% You can’t beat the price point! For >$17 I got 32 varieties of heirloom seeds. It would’ve cost that just to get 6 seed packets normally.

The guide that comes with it is great. The only improvements would be to color code the seed bags by planting date and to include a garden plan in the guide to improve value as a survival garden.

Ordered this in February, had to wait for the weather to allow me to plant them. Nothing sprouted. Absolutely nothing. The seeds were packaged in very small quantities, in little plastic dime bags instead of proper paper seed envelopes.

I believe this contributed to the ZERO germination rate I experienced.

Just started these eager seeds and they are sprouting nicely. I decided to start them indoors in small peat pots which turns out to be a good idea since we had torrential rain last night. I will let you know how they do in the garden.

Can’t wait for some fresh beet greens. Maybe I’ll plant a second crop here in northern New England.

I planted my first batch in two trays 12×10 trays and spread lots of seeds to get maximum yield. I noticed that only about less than a half, probably a third of what was sewn, germinated. It’s been a week and it looks like I’d just throw my first batch.

Well I recently received these seeds as well. Germination is not so great! But what does grow is beautiful and tastes wonderful! I seeded a couple trays already but seed density needs to be a bit thick to get a good crop.

I’ve never Grown them before so this is a trial and error run for me.

I bought Four German Queen and Two Beefsteak Tomatoes Plants. They arrived today. There was a big box that held four tomato plants and a smaller box that held only two. So you would natural assume that the lager box had the four German Queen and the smaller box held the two Beefsteak plants.

There was no tag in the smaller box. Not on the pots or with each of the plants. In the bigger box only one of the four plants had a tag. It was in the pot and it said Beefsteak. But there was another tag laying loose at the bottom of the bigger box and it said German queen.

So my question is” Which tomato plants are which? Or do I have to guess? Or am I suppose to wait till they make tomatoes to find out? I was excited for them to get here. But now I am sadden and disappointed.

I have not been inside a store for over a year. I have grown and sold plants for years and they do not go out the door if there is no tags, or they are discounted and sold as grab bags. An as a side note just to let you know FEDEX (or at least the person who brought our turned the boxes on their side spilling some of the soil in the bottom of the box.

They apparently disregarded the fact that the box said this side up. Just like who ever sent my plants disregarded the fact that I would want to know which plant is which. I realize it may not matter to some one else.

But I am a plant person. An it does matter to me. My parents grew German Tomatoes almost all of my childhood. Even though Beefsteak is close the German Queen is closest to them, if not the same one. I can tell the difference.

Just like I can tell the difference between a tulip tree and a saucer magnolia which may look like it is the tulip tree because of the shape of the flowers but it isn’t. So please make sure your costumers know what each plant is.

Even if you have to write it on a piece of paper with a sharpie and tape it to your pots. It would be very helpful to know.

I bought this cute little tomato plant, complete with it’s own cage and some cherries already growing back in May for around $20. After some good rains, I realized that the pot and cage it came with was not going to cut it, so I spent around $25 on a large planter and cage as well as $15 worth of good soil.

I got a few red cherries before it started to get hot as this is Austin, Texas. Something caused my leaves to get all spotty and I thought it was the end of it, but I kept pulling of dead or spotted leaf after leaf after leaf all summer long.

Every good rain made it grow more, but it was so much work just to keep it going. I water it every day without fail. FINALLY in September we started getting cooler days and BAM! green cherries started growing in the top parts of the plant (by now I had already pruned it so much that I created a second plant and the good growth was hanging over the cage, most of it was just vine).

Then the weather changed in late October while the cherries were still green and I didn’t want the growth stunted again so I dragged it, it’s little brother and all my other edible plants inside. So now everyone lives inside in a sunny Southeast corner even though the weather has been pretty mild.

The cherries FINALLY started turning red. And the taste is not great. Not sweet, pretty bitter. Not enough to use in anything either. I’m thinking once I get through all these cherries, I will put it outside and let nature take it’s course.

Next spring I am excited to start with a little plant, but definitely won’t be this variety I will research what can handle the Texas heat. Definitely won’t trust Home Depot as they should not have sold this plant here in the first place, but after spending $60 on it, I wasn’t about to just let it die.

North of Houston, Texas – cusp of 8 – 9 growing Zone. I grew one plant in a about 12″ diameter X 14″ deep pot. Required some staking, but not a problem. Loaded heavily with fruit continuously from Spring through Summer, and now, in January blooming and setting fruit again – During Spring and mid summer, each pepper would be growing well, then like some other reports, would develop a brown blister looking spot on each pepper.

I though not enough calcium? or Sunscald? But in Fall peppers developed without the brown spots. Most peppers about 5-7″ long and about 3-4″ across top. This is a thin walled pepper and my main complaint is that they had no green bell pepper taste.

In fact no real taste at all, but they looked good in salads, and I was hoping it at least added nutritional content to foods I ate them with. Plant produces as advertised, and was delighted at the fruit set as I usually get not fruit on other bell varieties until Fall weather sets in.

Just disappointed in the taste. These do turn red if left on plant long enough, and they do keep well on plant for long time. Keep well in refrigerator- about 4 weeks or more. which I’m assuming is because of their thin wall.

Thicker walled bells last about a week after being cut into and refrigerated. These last -.

This is sooo bitter. no issues with real cauliflower, unlike some folks, but this is just so so bitter for me. I tried really hard to enjoy it. i just can’t do it. at this rate, one bag will last me about six and a half years.

May be a genetic thing, but if you don’t taste the bitterness, you may actually enjoy this!.

I bought rebel in 1984 for my 2 acre lawn. Excellent results. I still have the greenest and best lawn in my development after 36 years. This variety has been extremely disease resistant for me. My front is Rebel 1 with my back being a dwarf variety.

I don’t Mind cutting front twice as much as back. Maintains good color with only two fertilizations a year in Ohio.

This grass seed worked great! I used a tiller on the yard to prep. Got up all the old grass and weeds, then added a layer of topsoil. Added fertilizer and a bag of the tall fescue seeds. Then did a layer of straw to protect the seeds.

Came up great and looks great!!! Five stars. This was in a area without full sun. Lots of very tall trees along the side of the yard.

I purchased two bags of these grass seeds and followed instructions to the letter, who would not consider the cost (overpriced and over-rated). Sent pictures to show the results which were awful. I requested a guaranteed refund.

The seller refused to issue a refund (asked that I return the product, knowing that I planted the grass seed. Who does that? Perhaps the grass seed was outdated. One thing is certain, the seed did not perform as stated.

Poor Customer Care.

What is this food voodoo?!?? If you handed me one of these patties on a bun and told me it was a breaded chicken patty, I would believe it completely. The only thing I would have to say about this faux chicken would be “can I have another one?” I’ve been trying to eat more healthily.

I love a giant cheeseburger, or a crispy chicken burger with lots of mayo and pickle slices. I don’t want to give up food that I love. So what I have been doing is finding decent (hopefully good) replacements for foods that I love, i.

e. pizza (going to make my own cauliflower crust today) and chicken burgers. There used to be a brand of “burger” called Gardenburger which I loved. But I wasn’t able to find them. So I thought I would try these Morningstar Meatless Chicken Patties, based on the reviews of generous and thoughtful Walmart shoppers.

🙂 I fired up the oven and got ready for “the chicken patty experiment. ” These Meatless Chicken Patties look like generic little breaded patties. I put one on a cookie sheet, and turned it over after about ten minutes.

That’s when I realized that- it smelled like a real chicken patty. Like the kind you get at the “cartoon sailor”‘s drive-through. It was getting nice and crispy golden brown, and smelled really good.

I toasted a keto hamburger bun (also available at Walmart- thanks, Walmart!) and added some low-fat mayo and dill pickle relish. I didn’t have any lettuce or tomato, but I didn’t want too many flavors/variables that might be distracting in the faux chicken patty test.

I took a bite. And- I was blown away. It tasted just like a breaded chicken burger. No weird aftertaste- it wasn’t mushy- it absolutely tasted like a real chicken patty. Very satisfying. And I didn’t get that sort of too-full, I ate too much grease kind of feeling that I get after consuming one of those fast food, delicious but super fattening, crispy fried chicken patties.

The first time I had fake meat was many years ago, when a health-nut buddy cooked some for me, insisting it would taste as good as real meat. It- didn’t. I would rather have eaten a deep-fried sweat sock (sorry, buddy.

). But that was in the early 90s. As that old commercial said “[we’ve] come a long way, baby!” when it comes to choosing healthy meat alternatives. I will ALWAYS have these in my freezer. Delicious- affordable- and healthy.

A great, yummy, quick lunch. Kids would love these- they are just as tasty as a chicken nugget (and are made of better ingredients, I imagine. ). I hope Walmart always has them in stock. Try these. You will not be disappointed!.

So I’m not a vegetarian or a vegan, but decided to try a few options for my health and weight loss. I absolutely love making sandwiches with Tyson chicken patties (Oncor is another brand). I decided to try these even though we’ve tried meatless nuggets which were DISGUSTING.

But these chicken patties have the same texture (big thing for me) and taste as a chicken patty. I definitely couldn’t tell the difference if the two were in front of me. I personally put mine between a few leaves of romaine (cutting carbs) with jalapeños – because I love ‘em! It’s my guilty pleasure midnight snack.

I would urge any skeptic to try these…because I am a SUPER PICKY human being and anyone who knows me would tell you they won’t try to feed me…my kids are worse lol.

These veggie burgers were my weekly favorite. They are full of protein and great flavor. Kroger stopped carrying them in the Cincinnati region, then I was buying them from Meijer, then they stopped carrying them.

Now no where to be found. Please do not discontinue these Tomato & Basil Pizza Veggie Burgers. Our whole family like them. Do you have a online option to purchase? these are a great product that doesn’t try to recreate the taste of meat ( impossible etc.

) but has great plant based flavors. I am so tired of the other products that try to recreate meat flavors and textures. I have been a vegetarian for over 30 years now, my family and kids are also vegetarian.

Please keep making these and give options to purchase these online.

We haven’t planted as of yet. But another product purchased came up according to instruction and I was very pleased.

I love EZ straw brand. It’s cut the right length to achieve a happy medium between staying put and being easily worked. I’ve never had problems with washout or blowing away. It’s kept my seeds safe and sound through germination, seedlings, & adult stages.

I also use it liberally as a mulch in new beds. I’ve found it breaks down well, adding valuable organic material to the soil, while holding moisture and keeping roots cool. I also like the initial color, though that fades into a natural soil tone after a couple of months.

Compare the few pictures to see the difference. The “established” beds are this-season new also. The ground cover will intentionally spread over the next few seasons, so the remaining straw won’t be visible.

I’m very pleased with this brand and will most definitely be using it again next season. I have no complaints at all.

This is my first time using EZ Straw. I bought it for covering my newly planted asparagus to help retain moisture. I had quite a bit left over, so I used it to mulch other areas of my large garden. We had a light rain the next that probably helped activate the tack.

Two days later we had terrible storms move thru, with high winds and torrential rains (even a tornado 2. 5 miles away). As you can see, my EZ Straw is still in place! I’m really surprised at previous negative reviews related to the EZ Straw staying put in wind!.

i ordered 4 bags all 2. 5cf. 1 1st came in smaller size bundle. that was great! i could handle it and store it very well. But the other 3 that were shipped a few days later were a big disappointment! They are packaged in very large bundles also 2.

5cf. so i didn’t like that. on top of that, I should have known that the straw would come with thousands of seeds, but i didn’t think about that until i saw it all sprouting in my seed beds and containers and planting areas.

The seed part was my own naivete. I had seen many you tube videos where the gardener used straw or woodchips everywhere. one guy mentioned ez straw. no mention of the sprouting straw seeds. so my bad for not anticipating that.

the biggest issue for me is the very large packaging compared to the 1st very compact package all with the same 2. 5 cubic feet volume. i do want to say that tractor supply had a much better price than every other retailer i checked online.

Very Happy with this plant. has produced quite a bit of product in addition this is a very pretty plant with loads of color. Makes a great addition to the yard as well as meals. Very easy to maintain once the starter takes hold.

Very good cucumbers, and so convenient to get 3 in a package. I spiralize each cucumber, then pack them in containers with a paper towel inside to absorb moisture. I mix up an Asian vinaigrette dressing and put that in little containers.

Then it’s easy to grab a container of spiralized cucumbers and a container of dressing. I take out the paper towel from the cucumber container, and I shake up the dressing and pour it over. Voila ! Asian cucumber salad so good I could literally eat it every day.

These cucumbers come out to about a dollar each, which might seem expensive. But keep in mind these are the more expensive English Cucumbers, which are much better because their flavor is more mild and less bitter, and they have fewer and smaller seeds and more tender peel.

I don’t really like English cucumbers as well as regular ones. I especially don’t love that they are individually wrapped in plastic. I wish there was a better way to buy cucumbers without all the plastic waste.

However the cucumbers themselves are fine and crisp. Not flavorful like a garden grown one but still a good choice.

The value of these cucumbers is awesome. I am very pleased with this brand. It is nonGMO and has a lot of flavor. I did not know that English cucumbers taste very similar to regular cucumbers but they are more juicy.

They are a slight bit sweeter but not much and their skin is thinner so you don’t have to peel them.

It is now the middle of September, and not only am I still harvesting a couple dozen tomatoes a day off of my two plants, but it is still producing new flowers, too. I suspect I’ll be harvesting from these plants until the first killing frost.

Amazing! Along with my one full-size tomato plant, with super market tomato prices being about $5. 50/2 lbs. of cherry tomatoes, and as much as $2. 50 EACH for full-size tomatoes, I bet I will have harvested more than $200 worth of tomatoes off of just these three plants by the time the season ends.

Never would I have expected such productivity when I selected and planted these last May. These will definitely be back in my 2023 garden!.

(Note: You can also read my earlier review from 2019 – posted when I bought the first kit. ) My first shade kit lasted all summer in the Phoenix sun. I took the kit down in the winter, but just put it back up again since it’s spring here in Phoenix.

I also just purchased and put up a second kit, to cover my two newer beds. Both kits are shown in the pic. I obviously wouldn’t have spent the money for a second kit if the shade structure didn’t work for me.

But it did work, and was very easy to disassemble and store for the winter. One con is that two of the screw top (finial) pieces on the old kit came apart (the inner bolt disconnected from the outer plastic cap), but I was able to substitute with wing-nuts.

The year-old shade fabric itself is in fantastic condition considering the sun and wind that Phoenix gets. It looks and feels as new as the fabric in the newer kit I just put up. Bottom line, the kits are easy to assemble, last in heavy rain and strong sun, and are easy to adjust (height, fabric layout) depending on your desired light and angle.

The product took almost two months to for it to arrive. I like this product and idea. I wish the balls would screw in better. The poles are a little flimsy and don’t make a sturdy connection. I hope it holds up during the summer storms.

Has saved my garden this insanely hot, Phoenix summer. We hit 115F degrees twice and came close a few more times, and only the garden under the shade structure survived completely unscathed. We had a record August for heat and lack of rain.

but when it did rain, it poured. This is a south-facing yard and also gets monsoon summer winds, and so far, so good. No sign of damage or breaking down in the heat or under intense storms. The only negative is the poles are very thin, so they will bend when pulled upon or bumped into by equipment.

But they are easy to bend back into shape. I used this over a 7’x4′ raised bed.

I was trying to maintain a high fiber, veggie diet and found the SW power blends to be a perfect, easy, healthy staple for bowls, soup stock and side dish. I thought my wife made a mistake and bought the wrong steam pack.

I saw the reviews and cannot believe you changed the recipe. NEWSFLASH TO ALL! The original recipe is never coming back. They cancelled the lentil vendor contracts months ago and all of these seemingly concerned company reps were part of the damage control, also hired and budgeted accordingly.

The company played to the masses and dumbed-down a perfectly healthy meal to increase sales. I bought up what I could find in the supply chain and will figure out how to make this on my own. Companies rarely go back on a financial decision and this product is budget dust for a major Big Food company.

The original southwest was perfect. We built recipes around it and used it often. We both work EMS and it was a versatile blend that could help us make it through 24-48 hr shifts. We didn’t need more carbs in our lives.

We needed that protein. Adding pasta and rice in place of all the beans and quinoa was a horrible mistake that you can still fix! The seasoning doesn’t even taste southwest style anymore. It just tastes like someone threw a couple black beans and corn into grandma’s red rice.

We all know rice and pasta is cheap. This product tastes cheap. Please go back to the old recipe or sell it under a different name. We tried so hard to like it, but we can’t bring ourselves to to buy it again.

Love everything about the Birdseye power blend meals except for the hot spice. Love the convenience, the healthy vegetables and not having to buy the much more expensive individual ingredients. No cooking! Just microwave, which is great.

This is a perfect lunch to take to work. However, not all of us like the heat. I don’t. Please continue to give us the wonderful vegetables and healthy protein minus the hot spices. I’ll buy these every week if you will.
