20 Best Vegetarian Trader Joe’S (2022 Updated)

There’s probably a reason why this tea is often sold out. It’s cheap, tastes great without needing to add any sweetener. It’s similar to “Cinnamon Spice” blends from other brands but a much better value.

I really enjoy this tea. I usually stay away feom herbal teas because they taste kind of boring to me and I also prefer buying actial herbs and boiling them. This one is really tasty though. The cinnamon adds a little twist to the herbal flavor and makes this tea really delicious.

It mostly tastes like cinnamon. If you like cinnamon then this will definitely be by your liking. It was affordable as well. I bought it from Trader Joe’s.

This is a great fall tea. Unfortunately, it disappears quickly, so youre going to pay a premium once its gone. Terrific flavor. Its nice to be able to find some online.

For those who are sensitive to msg, you need this product! Mushrooms have glutamate, and that means they bring umami to anything you add it to. Umami is that scrumptious, savory flavor that cranks up the taste of the food and makes you want to go back for more.

It’s a power-up for your cooking! And for those who don’t care for mushrooms, don’t fret. I am not the biggest lover of mushrooms, and trust me when I say that you don’t taste mushroomy at all. It just intensifies the flavors that are already in the food itself.

Try this and you will be surprised and excited at how much flavors will improve.

Loooveee this on eggs, anyway cooked! Also a must on avocado toasts topped with sunny side up eggs. Just like its namesake, it’s got a hard to describe “umami” flavor. Super flavorful, savory and somehow ties in other parts of your meal.

Well priced at approx $3, lasts awhile even when used almost daily. FYI, 140mg of sodium per 1/4 teaspoon.

Everyone raves about Everything But the Bagel Seasoning, but this seasoning blend is Trader Joe’s hidden gem. Don’t know why it’s from “Mushroom and Company,” as mushroom is pretty low down on the ingredients list, but I use this on every veggie-heavy meal I make! It’s great on tofu, broccoli, asparagus – great on stovetop foods and even better on roasted things.

Plant based umami is hard to find, so this is a gem. And, it’s super affordable and easy to source – every TJs I’ve visited in California stocks this stuff.

Okay. here’s the deal. you never need to try another brand of peanut butter again. Do yourself a favor, head to your local TJ’s and walk right to the peanut butter isle. Chose the regular Trader Joe’s salted peanut butter with the red label or the salted crunchy peanut butter with the blue label.

And when you get them home, store them upside down so the oil finds it’s way to the bottom of the container instead of the top!!.

The best one yet from trader joes. Authentic peanut tasting. No additives. No after taste. You can eat it by itself or use in thau recipes.

I really like this Peanut butter. I love that it has a clean label and is just made with peanuts, nothing else. Flavour is good and texture is perfect for spreading on my morning toast.

As a non-coffee drinker, I am very particular about my chai. So a powdered mix? I thought, “no thanks. “ When a recipe called for some of this mix, I picked up some and an associate in the store told me “this stuff is so good!“ The box says “spicy“ but that’s the furthest thing from the truth.

This chai is perfect. I cannot believe adding 9 ounces of water would get this incredible drink for almost no money. I am not writing all my friends and telling them to pick some up. There’s no need to ever get a chai at a coffee shop.

This is BETTER.

Chai tea is my favorite drink and this mix from trader joes is delicious! It taste like a warm hug in a mug. The perfect blend of spices. You can have it hot or cold over ice. It’s super easy to make just put a scoop into your favorite mug or cup add water or milk if you prefer, stir and enjoy.

It says to mix two scoops or 1/3 cup but I use just under one scoop and that is plenty so the tub lasts me even longer.

This chai mix is my new addiction. I don’t drink it all the time because it’s very sweet (it contains a lot of sugar). Even if the package says to put 2 spoons of the product, is better to put less. I also add some milk.

I suggest buying it directly from TJ because I saw in other online stores is way more expensive.

I’m really hoping this doesn’t break me out because it’s a dream so far. It feels like my skin is drinking water when I apply this and it feels so good going on. Lots of slip but not too silicone-y feeling.

Feels super light on skin but provides enough hydration over my serums, toners, essence such that my skin stays very bouncy and hydrated all day. Skin isn’t greasy nor matte, it is glowy and healthy and fresh feeling.

This does what I would have thought neutrogena hydroboost would have done for me but that stuff just stayed on top of my skin in a thin layer but didn’t hydrate. This stuff actually hydrates my skin and has some nourishment from the sunflower oil.

Don’t need a lot. Easy to get. only $8. 99 for 2. 5 oz!! omg. skin type: combo, easily dehydrated, prone to clogged pores.

I love this stuff. I bought two just in case I had a hard time finding more, because I love it so so so much. ! I looked forever and day trying to find something to replace the sensitive skin gel moisturizer I used to get from Derma-e; sadly I don’t think anything will ever quite be the same, but this product from Trader Joe’s is the current reigning successor – It is so LIGHT, but still extremely moisturizing, not at all sticky, and it doesn’t irritate my extremely sensitive skin.

I can’t do hardly any moisturizers whatsoever because they make my face so oily and cause me to start breaking out within just a few hours – and/or give me some kind of itchy reaction. However, I need a moisturizer because of aging concerns and to combat the dry skin I get in certain areas if I don’t moisturize at all.

(The joys of sensitive combination acne prone skin in your mid 30s. ) I love the scent, which is hardly any scent at all really, but nonetheless it is light and refreshing much like the texture and effectiveness of the product.

I can’t say enough about this amazing moisturizer, especially when you top it off with the fact that I can feel good about what’s in it (or more importantly, what’s not in it) because it is from Trader Joe’s.

I heard that this product was a dupe for Clinique Moisture Surge and Neutrogena HydroBoost Water Gel, so for under $10, I had to pick it up on a TJ’s run. The consistency wasn’t quite close enough for me to consider it a dupe, and it did not leave my skin anywhere nearly as hydrated as the higher end brand moisturizers.

It also led to painful and noticeable break outs on my cheeks and jaw, which Clinique and Neutrogena do not do. I usually love Trader Joe’s beauty products since they are a steal for such good quality, but this was definitely a miss for me.

The sloppy joe’s had good reviews so I was looking forward to finding a savory alternative for lunch. However, upon my first bite I couldn’t believe how sweet it was! I tried adding some laughing cow cheese to cut the sweetness but it didn’t work.

(Note: the chili is significantly less sweet. ) If you’re a fan of sweet meals, or things like sweet relish, etc, you might enjoy this. If you prefer more savory items maybe consider something else. That said, a *lot* of people really like this offering so don’t just take my word for it.

When I first stirred this and the hot water together, I had my doubts about it. It was an odd brownish color, which didn’t look very appetizing. However, I finished cooking it according to the directions in the microwave.

Delicious!!! This is definitely one of my favorites. I suggest cooking it in a larger bowl than you would think that you need as it needs room to boil. I do spray a little non-stick cooking spray in the bowl before mixing.

Sometimes you need a little something fast, warm, with just a little kick to it. That’s this product. I enjoy this on its own or with a salad and find it both satisfying and filling. My favorite way though: throw in a few extra veggies (peppers, onions, and carrots) and you are going to nail your goals!.

I love buying chia seeds from Trader Joe’s. They are affordable and the bag has lasted me a couple of months. I use my chia seeds daily in my smoothies and noticed that it has helped my digestive system.

I’ve noticed a consistency in taste and have not had any issues! I am running low and can’t wait to go to Trader Joe’s to buy some more!.

You can never go wrong with chia seeds! Packed with so many nutrients and good for the bowels!! My favorite is adding it to my overnight oats or blending them to making chia pudding. Will always be a staple in my pantry.

Trader Joe’s is an excellent brand, and one of my favorite places to shop! Always high quality that you can expect. The chia seeds can be added to smoothies, or a plethora of other recipes. Did I mention they’re a superfood?.

My absolutely must go to item to purchase at TJ! Dairy + gluten free so this nooch is a staple in my cabinet. Sprinkle on popcorn, salads, steamed veggies, many meals for a savoury flavour boost. When making vegan cheese, this is the key ingredient.

Super easy to use. Have tried other brands in bulk for when I need to make large amounts of substitute cheese like dishes but this is my personal favourite for meals/stove top popcorn (coconut oil, purple kernels, Himalayan salt nooch) I make regularly.

Pro tip: blend for finer granules to stick to popcorn better than the larger flakes. those fall to the bottom leaving yumminess to scoop up with a licked finger at the end for a guilty free indulgence.

Great addition and necessary one for any vegans! Throw it in literally anything as you’re cooking for a solid boost, or use it with some nuts in a blender for a base cheesy sauce. Such a good price for a required staple in my pantry.

Following a plant based diet, I have read how important nutrional yeast can be for your health. My first time trying it I wasn’t a huge fan. I looked up some recipes to use nutrional yeast in and found some incredible dishes made with it and I am a huge fan! I can now sprinkles it on my salads or my plant based eggs.

It has a cheesy taste!.

Trader Joe’s 21 seasoning salute blend is one of the best seasonings I’ve come across. It’s great for beginner cookers not sure which seasonings to use as you can just use this and get all you need. It has herbs, pepper, cumin, mustard, celery seed, onion and more in it and it will have your meats tasting great.

I use it on chicken and steak. I also put it on eggs and in my pastas. It is low in sodium and low cost. The holes in the pour spout are a bit large so you need to sprinkle lightly to avoid over pour.

This seasoning is amazing. I put it on chicken alone and bake in the oven for a tasty dinner. I can stir fry some vegetables with it, or even add it to homemade spaghetti sauce in the crock pot. It’s a perfect seasoning that I always have a back up in case I run out.

We use this in everything in my house. Eggs, fish, chicken, soup, etc. I love it because it’s perfect for when you’re not sure how you want to season something. Just throw some of this on whatever you’re making along with your other staple spices and it’s guaranteed to come out good.

This is my new staple. Salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder, and 21 seasoning salute is going on EVERYTHING at the very least.

Little on the runnier side would prefer a slightly thicker consistency but the flavor is great. Definitely worth it for the price, especially when you don’t feel like cooking. Heard mixing in boursin cheese to it is good but haven’t tried it personally.

Great. Every time I can consume 2 bowls of it. It’s really delicious. It is not that sour and not rich in sodium. I even put dumplings inside of the soup and it also taste great. And the price is also affordable.

I actually like this soup better than the popular name brands out there. Flavorful, easy to make, and you can have a hot meal ready in just a few minutes. Perfect for lunch or to pair with a grilled cheese sandwich for a light dinner.

If you’re at Trader Joe’s, grab a few and try them for yourself, you will be pleasantly surprised.

For complete transparency, let me first say, I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. First off, the patties don’t look half bad, a couple tend to break in half because they are a little dry and don’t hold together.

I baked the patties in a convection toaster oven according to the instructions. They came out rather nice looking. There was not that much shrinkage so they are a little bit larger in diameter than your standard grocery store burger buns.

For my first try, I ate the burger without any additional seasonings or condiments. The patties themselves are not highly seasoned so you can definitely taste all of the components. I did not think that I would see the corn kernels and other bits so that seemed a little odd.

The texture was a little dry but had enough moisture that it was easy to chew. There really isn’t much flavor to the burger patties so it requires the addition of condiments and other added items to give it more flavor.

The rest of the family had some as well, my 17 year old teenage son when asked what he thought, replied, “meh”. I had to ask him how to spell that. He said on a scale from 1 to 10 it was right in the middle as a five.

Myself, I actually didn’t mind the flavor. I’m trying to lose some weight and watch my overall red meat consumption so as an occasional substitute I would be willing to eat this instead. Overall, the flavor, texture Get a six out of 10 from me.

I wouldn’t rave about it but I would certainly not mind having it as an occasional substitute and diet component Add your own seasonings to bring out the flavor you want. It’s a neutral base to work from.

I might buy it again.

I’ve always been skeptical hesitant to try veggie burgers ( they just never sounded real appealing to me), so I was pleasantly surprised on how delightfully delicious these ‘Dr. Praeger’s Veggies Burgers’ are; I honestly enjoyed every single bite! I had to almost force my hubby and kids to try them, but once they did, not only were they shocked by the scrumptiousness, but they were hooked as well! Now I will say this, don’t go in expecting these to taste like meat, because they definitely don’t and your probably be left feeling disappointed (if your looking for meat-imitation burgers, try Impossible Burger, Beyond Burger or MorningStar Farms; they taste feel exactly like a real burger).

But these Dr. Praeger’s burgers have a pleasantly distinct taste that’s all their own and that’s both delicious and unique in the best way possible! What I really love about these burgers was their texture; it’s both juicy and “meaty” (in the non-meatless sense, of course), not at all dry and mushy (yuk)! To get this winning texture though, you got to cook them right; I recommend cooking them in a frying pan with a little bit of avocado oil.

Or if your going to grill them, What I really love about these burgers though, is that they’re made using only high quality, organic, and gluten free ingredients, unlike some of the other veggie burgers I’ve seen out there.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I have a vegan brother that told me how much he disliked this product, so before trying it, I feared it may have too strong of a taste and that I also may not like it.

I know I like what it says on the package, though! One patty is only 190 calories, contains 1 full serving of veggies, no cholesterol, lots of fiber, and includes carrots, peas, broccoli, and spinach, all of which I like.

So even if I don’t particularly like the taste, I would still eat them for the health benefits, I told myself. I tried one as a sandwich with mustard, and ketchup and could not really taste the burger much.

Then I cooked another and ate it plain, without any bread even. I could taste it much better plain, and I really liked the flavor. It actually tasted like fresh veggies and I even FELT like I was doing good and eating healthy.

So I think this is a great product, myself, and look forward to trying it microwaved, air fried, etc. And I won’t feel guilty for eating THESE burgers! I don’t see what’s not to like.

What a delicious twist on pancakes! It hadn’t occurred to me that you could have varying flavors of pancakes come out of the box, but this is one to get!! The pumpkin taste is refreshing and mild, and brings a tasty sweetness to the pancake on its own.

My partner and I saved the box until it was out of season to buy at Trader Joe’s and just tried recently- you’ve gotta try it!.

i’ve never loved a pumpkin product so much as i do this one. the perfect amount of pumpkin flavor, and spice. decently easy to put all together with only about 4 ingredient. added a dollop of fat free whip cream on top, absolutely delicious! i can not wait to continue getting this mix in the future.

These pancakes are ADDICTING! I’m not a huge pumpkin person BUT these are amazing! I looked forward to making these every morning while they lasted! I added a dash of cinnamon on top of them as the baked and it tasted like fall exploded in my mouth!.

This is the closest veg product i have found to ground hamburger. I am vegetarian and often dont like many of the fake meat products but this one is excellent. My husband who does eat meat also loves it and can not tell the difference between this product and actual hamburger.

We use it for spaghetti, tacos, nachos and sloppy joes. Plus it is not soy based like many of the fake meats if that matters to you. It is made from something from mushrooms.

Another vegetarian staple kept in freezer. Make everything you would with hamburger meat. I make Shepherds Pie and Chili. They don’t have that weird taste like other grounds I have tried. They flavor nicely with herbs like thyme.

I would recommend to anyone that wants to replace meat. I love all Quorn products.

These are by far my favorite meatless grounds I’ve tried. I’ve tried all of the ones available at my local Whole foods and these just have a better texture and consistency. These are great for literally anything ground meat related and taste amazing too!.

Primal Kitchen is absolutely amazing. I have been using their Buffalo sauce on everything since I first tasted it. It is going to be the same with this new Ranch Dressing. It has this wonderful consistency that is only slightly oily and wonderful to eat.

The Ranch flavor is very natural and not too strong. You can get a slight hint of avocado along with some subtle spices as well. It is a wonderful addition to any meal that somehow seems to always add the right amount of flavor in the right direction.

I have dipped vegetarian buffalo wings and vegetables in it while watching hockey, put it on vegetarian egg and chorizo soft tacos first thing in the morning, and used it as the finishing touch for every salad I have at night.

It is perfect for every food and every time of day. Primal Kitchen understands flavor more than any other company in the market including the billion dollar giants.

This Caesar dressing lacked taste. Even though there is supposed to be roasted garlic, garlic powder and rosemary extract I couldn’t even taste any of it. It was also a little more tart than I would have expected or liked it to be with the apple cider and distilled vinegars present.

It really didn’t taste like a Caesar dressing at all. Couldn’t taste the black pepper either. There is a taste that carries through while you are eating it but I couldn’t put my finger on what it was exactly, it just tasted cardboard like.

Personally I wouldn’t buy this for all the above reasons and the price at $10 a bottle for only 235 ml is also a turn off. It’s also missing any kind of cheese like the obvious parmesan or Romano that I would have expected to be one of the ingredients.

I don’t buy much (air quotes) organic sauces but if they’re all like this one was, I don’t think I’d buy any again. Would definitely not recommend this to anyone as almost everyone I know are foodies like me.

As far as organic goes, a home made dressing would beat this hands down using all natural ingredients like egg yolk and lemon juice. Just an end note, I do not have a cold and there is nothing wrong with my tasting or smelling.

I actually smelled it from the bottle as well and it’s exactly the way I described it in its smell as well. It actually smelled like a bland ranch dressing. Come to think of it, that’s the best way to put how it tastes because there was no other flavors.

The only thing positive that I could say about this product, is that the texture is just right.

I really thought I was going to like this. I normally like Primal Kitchen mayo’s and I thought I was going to like the Vegan Ranch Dressing. It looked great from the outside when it was unopened. When I opened it up, the color wasn’t that appetizing to me, it was an off yellow color and not white like normal Ranch Dressings.

I pushed on through with the taste despite being put ogg by the color, it did NOT taste like Ranch. I don’t even know what it’s trying to be. It’s an okay dip if your not thinking its Ranch. While it is okay as a dip and not a dressing, I didn’t particialry enjoy the consistincy of it.

I kept shaking it to get back to it “original” state. It kept thicking up- if thats the correct term, and the top kept getting oil after long periods of stasis. I won’t be buying this again.

What is this food voodoo?!?? If you handed me one of these patties on a bun and told me it was a breaded chicken patty, I would believe it completely. The only thing I would have to say about this faux chicken would be “can I have another one?” I’ve been trying to eat more healthily.

I love a giant cheeseburger, or a crispy chicken burger with lots of mayo and pickle slices. I don’t want to give up food that I love. So what I have been doing is finding decent (hopefully good) replacements for foods that I love, i.

e. pizza (going to make my own cauliflower crust today) and chicken burgers. There used to be a brand of “burger” called Gardenburger which I loved. But I wasn’t able to find them. So I thought I would try these Morningstar Meatless Chicken Patties, based on the reviews of generous and thoughtful Walmart shoppers.

🙂 I fired up the oven and got ready for “the chicken patty experiment. ” These Meatless Chicken Patties look like generic little breaded patties. I put one on a cookie sheet, and turned it over after about ten minutes.

That’s when I realized that- it smelled like a real chicken patty. Like the kind you get at the “cartoon sailor”‘s drive-through. It was getting nice and crispy golden brown, and smelled really good.

I toasted a keto hamburger bun (also available at Walmart- thanks, Walmart!) and added some low-fat mayo and dill pickle relish. I didn’t have any lettuce or tomato, but I didn’t want too many flavors/variables that might be distracting in the faux chicken patty test.

I took a bite. And- I was blown away. It tasted just like a breaded chicken burger. No weird aftertaste- it wasn’t mushy- it absolutely tasted like a real chicken patty. Very satisfying. And I didn’t get that sort of too-full, I ate too much grease kind of feeling that I get after consuming one of those fast food, delicious but super fattening, crispy fried chicken patties.

The first time I had fake meat was many years ago, when a health-nut buddy cooked some for me, insisting it would taste as good as real meat. It- didn’t. I would rather have eaten a deep-fried sweat sock (sorry, buddy.

). But that was in the early 90s. As that old commercial said “[we’ve] come a long way, baby!” when it comes to choosing healthy meat alternatives. I will ALWAYS have these in my freezer. Delicious- affordable- and healthy.

A great, yummy, quick lunch. Kids would love these- they are just as tasty as a chicken nugget (and are made of better ingredients, I imagine. ). I hope Walmart always has them in stock. Try these. You will not be disappointed!.

So I’m not a vegetarian or a vegan, but decided to try a few options for my health and weight loss. I absolutely love making sandwiches with Tyson chicken patties (Oncor is another brand). I decided to try these even though we’ve tried meatless nuggets which were DISGUSTING.

But these chicken patties have the same texture (big thing for me) and taste as a chicken patty. I definitely couldn’t tell the difference if the two were in front of me. I personally put mine between a few leaves of romaine (cutting carbs) with jalapeños – because I love ‘em! It’s my guilty pleasure midnight snack.

I would urge any skeptic to try these…because I am a SUPER PICKY human being and anyone who knows me would tell you they won’t try to feed me…my kids are worse lol.

After the sausage patties were ruined this year by the change to a vegan recipe, I took solace in the fact that I could still enjoy Chik Patties. I didn’t love them quite as much as sausage patties, but they were still a staple in our house for the last 30+ years.

Well, all of that has changed since these have recently received the same treatment as the sausage patties. I noticed eating one that was bought recently that it didn’t taste the same or have the same texture.

So I looked at the packaging and sure enough the recipe has quietly been changed to an inferior vegan version. I don’t need to ramble on and on here about how terrible the new recipe is or how everyone I know is going to stop eating these just like they have stopped eating the terrible sausage patties.

I’ll just reiterate what I said in my review of the sausage patties: make a vegan version that tastes worse, fine. Just also please make the original vegetarian version again so all of us who grew up eating these can continue to enjoy them.

OMG. 100 stars 🌟 do you struggle with lip balms that are waxy and don’t really moisturize? or maybe you find yourself “addicted” and applying your balm every 5 minutes? this stuff is insanely moisturizing.

like, my lips have never been so soft, they haven’t chapped this winter even with all the ice storms, and they haven’t cracked either! could part of it be because I’m wearing a mask? maybe, but I spend so much time inside that I think cold exposure is negligible in the long run.

Literally can not live without this stuff😬. I always buy in bulk and stash them in my purse, travel bag, cosmetic drawer, car. It’s a problem, I know but it’s such a great lip moisturizing and repair with the addition of spf.

it’s true love. I enjoy the spearmint scent and it doesn’t have any sort of flavor. Leaves a gorgeous transparent glossy glow. Definitely worth the purchase.

Trader Joe’s Virtuoso SPF 15 Spearmint Lip Balm is the most underrated lip balm. Its a great price for 3, i leave one in my car, bag and near my bed. This lip balm smells amazing and feels tingly on my lips which i love.

I repurchased many times and I highly recommend.

I LOVE anyting Hodo makes and trust me, this tofu did not dissapoint. I love that you dont have to worry about the extra moisture and pressing with this. Just pop your tofu in the air fryer, over, or frying pan, season and you’re good to go! Bravo Hodo, another hit!.

This tofu seems pre-pressed. It cuts, bakes, and fries really well. Tastes great in all of our recipes. Does not crumble and fall apart like some other tofu brands. It is worth a little extra for the taste and consistency!.
