Was so excited once this finally arrived. I have been looking for a new alternative to the buckle that I’ve been using to harness my dog. We often go on long trips and the buckle did not allow her the freedom that this zipline does and even my pup was excited to have this.
It’s a super easy install – I will say (and this is in no way an issue with the product itself if anything maybe a suggestion for a 2. 0 product) I am a bit worried for the hooks for my car because the handles it attaches to are foldable in my Toyota Highlander, so they aren’t the solid handles in most cars.
Maybe have the hooks be more like carabiner clips or something similar. I had to make sure the tension was extra tight so it held the handles out. That seemed to do the trick, it didn’t wobble or come undone even with my anxious pup pacing back and forth for about ~ 1 hour car ride.
Let me be clear that this was one of the items I was looking forward to getting from my many orders from Chewy. Well I was wrong and let down again by Chewy. I am starting to noticed that I should just stick to JUST ordering food cause everything else is cheaply made, breaks easily or not what you expect.
Needless to say, I used this zipline TWICE! I decided to go for a ride and strapped it up, as I was ready to get my +50lbs puppy I notice that the stitching is all coming out and the material ripping.
If I didn’t noticed or could care less about my pet, he coulda easily gone out the window mid ride. Not for nothing chewy, but I’ve been more disappointed than happy in product that I pay a lot of money for.

This zipline is the best concept ever. Our doggy used to get tangled in the seatbelt tethers because she loves to move around the back seat. The zipline kept her safe and secure but with total freedom to move from window to window.
However, the nylon strap does not really tighten at all. We had to get pretty creative with some crazy knots in order to stop it from loosening on its own. Also, recently our dog tried to run out the car before we unharnessed her, and she wound up pulling so hard that she bent the hook that attaches to the car.
It no longer hooks on correctly and we have to replace the whole thing.

It went together fairly easily (follow the instructions). Another item that I like is that the construction is such that it gets good air flow to my dog. There are times when she is in the kennel waiting her turn in hot and humid weather.
I hang fans on this so they blow in on her and add a porous shade “tarp” to reflect heat away and add shade, but having good air flow through the kennel is very important so that the dog does not overheat.
I did some research on the Variocage dog crate. I recall they crash tested it for all 3 types of crashes. It showed several of the straps breaking, and I thought that was a bad sign. But according to info from a video posted below, the straps are only designed to keep the crate oriented in the rear of your car prior to the collision, after that the straps can break, but the crate is designed to protect effectively.
The angled part of the crate abutting the rear seat disperses the force of a rear end collision over the largest surface as opposed to a square regular crate which contacts the rear seat at the point of its corner.
The corners of the crate where the dog doors are (I bought a 2 dog medium crate) are blunted- that is to conform to the crumple zone of the back of your car in case of rollover- thus creating its own crumple zone.
Lastly the telescoping bars allow force to be absorbed, but still protect your dog inside. The Swedish designers have outdone themselves, The cost is around $1,100 but you get what you invest in. The kennel is great. Easy to assemble and I love that it is adjustable. HoweverâŚ. Many of the pieces were bent or scratched. Packaging needs an upgrade. I would give it 5 stars if I hadnât had to straighten many of the corners before we could assemble it.

We have 3 BIG dogs and it’s big jump up into the back (and sides) of our SUV. It’s not good on their joints to be jumping from such a high vehicle and on more than one occasion a couple of them have fallen backwards while tying to jump INTO the vehicle and hit their heads on the pavement because I was unable to catch them.
This breed is susceptible to hip dysplasia and 2 of our dogs compete in Dog Agility so we try to put as little stress on their hips as possible. This step is easy to use and rotates out of the way easily and smoothly when not in use.
Our dogs all immediately understood how to use it – no training required. Installed in a few minutes. A lady who saw us at an Agility Trial using this step just loved it and was going to purchase one as well (she had been hauling around a ramp to get her dogs in and out of her SUV).
I have 2 x 45kg Bernese Mountain Dogs. They are 8 1/2 and 10 1/2 years old and although they have always enthusiastically jumped up into our Audi Q5 SUV, at their age I prefer them not to jump. This step was easy to install and easy to use and twist back under the car when not in use.

I am very pleased with this barrier. It was important to me that I could see through my rear view mirror, as some barriers I read about blocked some of the view. It’s OK for the price. The assembly was easy. Installing it was pretty self explainitory. The seat belt goes through the back for extra restraint. There is also a short leash that clips onto your pets harness.
I have a Dachshund puppy. She seems to fit perfect and doesn’t seem to mind the seat. I did add a baby blanket for extra cushion though. To me it didn’t feel stable/comfy enough. After adding the blanket it felt fine.

I was a little skeptical about ordering this carseat for my chihuahua-terrier mix pup. We had never used a car seat before because he usually sits on our laps when we take trips. I needed something to make sure he stays put and doesn’t climb into my lap when I am the driver.
When I opened it (before putting it in the car) I was worried that it would be too small, but after installing it in the car, it is the perfect size! There is just enough room for him to stand up and turn around if he needs to, but not enough that he can wiggle around freely.
He loves being high up and looking out the window or snuggling into a little ball inside the seat when he’s tired. If he moves around a lot the inside lining that is attached by velcro sometimes moves a bit, but it is an easy/quick fix.

This seat has potential although it collapses alot. Luna is a shitzu. Only weighs 8 lbs so very light. We have played with this over and over to get it to not collapse. The front has to be positioned higher then back for it to not collapse however it is hard to keep it there.
She loves it but i worry about her choking if it collapses with anchor on. We have it in back seat. I have unanchored her cause of this which defeats the purpose of having a dog car seat. i think this seat was a good idea but needed to be tweaked more.

Pretty easy and self-explanatory to install. I like that the middle part has mesh so our dog can still âkeep an eyeâ on us. If she really wanted to come through, I think she still could, but sheâs 70 lbs, so nothing short of metal or solid plastic would stop that.

I have another pet barrier that is metal and comes in several pieces. While it’s secure in keeping the puppies away from the front of the car, it’s a pain to put on or take off. This barrier is much more user friendly when it comes to on and off.

We have two dogs and as much as they get along at home, for some reason in the car they cannot stand to be touching. So this product is perfect for the times I have them both in the car. One in the backseat and one in the front and they stay where I put them! I would have pictures but I’m usually driving and that’s just not safe.

Once I received this car seat, I realized I needed to pick up my dogs and place them in the seat. For me, having back issues, that was very difficult. They are able to jump into their car crate without assistance from me.
Regarding the car seat itself, my pups had no trouble getting used it. It is deep enough to deter them from trying to jump out. The car seat is made of a durable fabric and is very well made. There is a fleece, detachable liner that is not of great quality but works.
The car seat has adjustable straps that allow it to be suspended high enough for your dogs to see out of the window. Or, can also rest on the seat of your car, with the straps secured. On our first outing using this car seat, we did have a slight issue with the tether restraint clips.
Both pups were in the car seat and in their wiggling, the tether clips became connected to each other, hence, my dogs became connected at the clips. (Not hips đ It took about 3 minutes to disconnect the dogs and clips.
I decided it would be easier for me and safer for them to ride in their car crate which has separate tethers and is retrained by a seat belt. Despite the little issue I had with this car seat, I still think it is a great car seat.

My experience with this car âsafetyâ seat is not a good one. The inside blanket-like cover/lining does not stay fastened to the car seatâs Velcro fasteners, no matter what I try or how many times I try to re-fasten it; it just keeps coming off of the Velcro.
This makes the whole car seat/bed look sloppy. In addition, the car seat itself doesnât stay in place. Yes, it is set up exactly according to the directions, but it slips and slides as soon as I get my puppy into it.
And, FYI, my puppy is afraid to get inside and the only way he would is if I put him in, which I will not even consider. I do not recommend this product!!.
I think this car seat is not safe for my dachshund. The clips are very lightweight. The straps that hang on the seat back would fly off in an accident. The tether strap is attached to the pet car seat not the actual car seat.
It would go with the pet car seat. I don’t like that they suggest the seat be installed in the front seat. I am disappointed in its safety and security. I think the pet car seat is comfortable for my pet.

While we were not able to secure the two straps rear that were supposed to attach to the seat frames at the floor of our MKZ (Lincoln) sedan, the car seat was attached to the console cover, using one of the rear straps, and has been stable.
(The mounting situation is the reason for four stars rather than five. ) Our 8. 5 pound Miniature Poodle immediately took to the seat (he had previously stood or sat on the console cover and / or roamed over the front two seats of the car and our laps).
We were concerned if the Small was the correct size, but it was. He is still learning he cannot jump out of the seat when the tether is hooked to his harness, but progress is being made. He sits or stands most of the time and can see out of the car very well.
On occasion he will lie in the “box” and rest his chin on its front edge; since the whole unit is made of soft fabric and foam, he is quite comfortable. I would caution getting the large size as it could interfere and intrude into the driver and passenger seats of any car the size of the MKZ (or Ford Fusion).
So, if you have a little guy that loves riding in the car as much as ours does, by all means buy one!.
I was really excited to find this. I have a newer Chevy Silverado with slip seat/console up front. My girl always wants to sit next to me but the console wasnât easy for her to sit on with her regular doggy bed.
Sheâs 11lb chihuahua-walker treeing coonhound mix. She fit comfortably for the most part; can only lay one way. My negatives would be the console front strap doesnât have enough length on it. It fits by the skin of its teeth into the lock.
My other pup is a chiweenie mix whose 17lbs. Heâs husky like a weiner dog, low profile. He filled up the entire space but didnât look comfortable. If there was more size options meaning maybe the sides were thinner to give more wiggle room I think it would be great.
Not mad that I bought it but also not super excited about it. I didnât save box or materials to return so just kept it. Maybe it wasnât made for my size truck.
Twice our 6 pound maltese has flown out of this carrier! Once it flew back in the backseat when we had to stop quickly and another time when we had to stop for a deer she flew forward out of the carrier.
The straps do not stop the carrier from shifting back and the leash is too long. Luckily she was in a harness not a collar or she would have been hanged. We are adding front to back straps and shortening the leash.

I bought this primarily for a dog that can chew out of anything. We have 2 of those crazy chewers: wire crates broke the wires, plastic crates chewed out and climbed out the side. Bought one of those steel bar crates ( from somewhere else )and while there are teeth marks on the bars you can’t use that beast of a thing in a car.
With rainy season upon us and hurricane season never far away we need a safe place in the house for them. Happy with this one now going to buy another, the larger one. Have to commend the design team these mouthy dogs can’t get their mouths on to the vent holes to chew.
Only thing I see in a month of having this is some scrape marks inside where one of them tried to chew. Didn’t work ! Humans ONE Dogs ZERO Ha ! Seriously they seem to like this crate and for me it is a breeze to clean out with a hose.
Important thing when I have to go somewhere I know I will come home to safe animals that are exactly where I left them.
I have a 2016 Honda CRV. I purchased 2 of the large crates. They fit the back of my SUV really well. I love the door because of the hinges are on both sides so it doesn’t matter what side you want it to swing open on.
The only thing I don’t like is the air flow is limited for the summer. So I turned the crate around (facing the front window) to getting better air flow. It doesn’t seem to matter to my dog to jump in the back door instead of the hatch.
So happy I waited for exactly what I wanted. Really wanted orange & itâs exactly what I wanted for my boy Trooper (his color is orange). Love that the door opens either way, very sturdy & fits in my Explorer perfect.

My 7 month old puppy was scared of the front seat even with a leash tied to his halter to keep him from falling into the floorboard. This basket is wonderful because he calmed right down and puts his head on the side and just watches me.
It appears he feels happy and secure in his enclosed space and he can see whatâs going on around him. and I was pleased that the liner is cotton and washable too. Highly recommend this basket.
I like that this can be adjusted quite a bit for how high it is placed. But I am disappointed that it wonât fit on my right back seat, because my split back seat (Subaru Forester) is extra wide, so that the strap going around the seat isnât long enough.
I contacted the company and they do not have an extension strap. For safety I prefer to have this booster in the back seat, so I can only attach it on the seat behind driverâs seat where I canât see my dog.

Just received this yesterday and have already taken my 5 month old pomchi puppy out in it today, our previous set up didnt give me a lot of reassurance of safety but I have complete peace of mind with this, the sides could be a tiny bit more sturdy but it does the job good size for her to lie down in and can still see out of the window when she wants too đ if it was around 25/30 pound mark would be better but at the same time you cant put a price on safety overall very happy.
