20 Best Vehicles For Commuting (2022 Updated)

I love my scooter! What you see in the description and image is what you get! I live in a city environment so I use the scooter to go to and from work once in a blue moon and to visit folks or out in the city (usually no more than 20 minutes one way) and usually on sport mode 2 at 18 mph.

The battery usually lasts for 2 rides before it gets down to 3 bars and then those bars can last for about another two rides or until I get too nervous to ride on just one battery bar indicator…ha. Best features: It does go 18 mph on sport mode 2 and on mode 1 max at 10 mph.

I use the 2nd mode when I am riding with others on their own scooter and it doesn’t go as fast. I love that the scooter has lights, turn signals, a bell, and folds down so nicely! Overall, I love the scooter and am SOOOO grateful for the purchase as I can get around more easily when I want to.

I don’t have to use rideshare programs or rental scooters as much so it also is saving me money / I am getting my money’s worth quickly! Some things I wish and have curiosities about Board size, bell, turn signal buttons, and instructions.

Board: I wish the board size was a little larger and not a skateboard material. When going over bumps, it feels like a skateboard and I can feel the impact through my shoes. This might also be a combination of the wheels and the thinner board (especially in comparison to other rental scooters).

Bell: I LOVE that the bell was included yet wish it was a spin bell-like the rental scooters. Turn Signal Buttons: I love that this is a feature yet would like it if it was a switch instead of a button as it is hard to click the button while riding the scooter.

You have to slow down, then look down to then push the button, and then pick up speed again. Maybe this is just my caution to not lose balance to fall off the scooter while finding the turn signal button.

Instructions: Grateful for simple instructions yet it did not inform me where to put the bell yet maybe this was a gift and not part of the original packaging. I would say the bell should always be included.

Other suggestions: It might be cool to look into when the front clamp to allow the scooter to fold is not attached to the scooter, the scooter pole only would be able to move straight down to connect to the back of the wheel to be locked into it’s folded position.

Maybe create a bag for this product to make it easier to carry as the 26 lbs. is a little much for one-handed carrying for a longer period of time (i. e. More than 2-5 minutes). Overall, I love it and am grateful for this purchase.

I just wanted to give a quick review this time praising the utter toughness of this little beast. I have owned this scooter for over 2 years now putting I’d guess (from my work commutes alone) thousands of miles on this machine.

I’ve ridden through rain and snow and everything in between with honestly very little maintenance. Actually NONE. The lone problem I had and it was strictly due to my own haphazard driving was a control board error that literally stopped me in my tracks one night.

I was driving in horrible rain and through deep puddles submerging even the deck and my work boots. I made it just fine all the to work and then half way home before she “died” and I had to call an Uber.

I thought my baby had finally passed on, lol. I stuck her in the corner of my kitchen and rode one of my other scooters (110 lbs not meant for commuting) for about a week or two. One day I heard my little city rider literally calling to me 😃 as it sat in the corner and chirped over and over?? I turned it on and the error code was gone.

I left it for another week I’d guess as it continued to randomly “chirp” because I wanted to make certain it had dried out or whatever. When I finally made my way back to her she worked flawlessly as if nothing ever happened.

Needless to say I avoid all wet conditions now but I’m proud to report my City Rider still motors on. It has good brakes, good speed and the range is enough for 7-8 miles at top speed. Highly recommend to anyone on the fence about purchasing.

Edit: I just realized that the new city riders come with a much larger battery than my version has. The 10ah battery version should take you ATLEAST 10-12 miles at top speed.

On asphalt, the ride is smooth. No issues. For semi-steep climbs, it can struggle pretty hard if you don’t build up momentum first. For steeper climbs, it will get you most of the way (assuming built up momentum), but you’ll need to finish it on foot.

This isn’t too terrible an issue where I live, but keep this in mind. The ride on asphalt is where the wheels begin to show their flaw. While there is suspension in the scooter, the wheels themselves do not–they are solid rubber with no air inside.

This means sidewalks with many indents and/or cracks are going to slap your lower back a little. It’s not a skull massage by any means, and won’t exhaust you; but it is jarring enough. All in all, you get what you pay for, and I mean that positively.

If where you live has bike lanes or traffic is used to pedestrian crossings, then this scooter is perfectly fine for commuting or general riding. If your only hope is a busy road where drivers won’t care about you at all or the sidewalk, however, I would suggest holding off a little longer and save some more money for some of the pricier scooters with both scooter suspension and pneumatic tires.

I live in the mountains, for what that’s worth. Also, be sure to use the break more often than you might think when on a decline. It’s very awkward at first, but eventually you learn when to both time it as well as keep the right pressure to make it smooth and avoid going too fast and losing control.

UPDATE 7/8I wanted to provide an update to my original review below because the company was fantastic in reaching out to me and working to replace the broken part and resolve all issues. I am leaving the original review below for reference only but I am updating the rating based on the fact that company went above and beyond to address the issues, communicated quick and frequently, and the replacement scooter is great.

I received the replacement scooter and it is a great machine. It arrived in perfect condition and everything fits nice and working perfectly. The scooter has three modes eco, drive, and sport which basically sets the speed limits.

It is really zippy in sport mode wear a helmet! and I love it. The scooter is well made and feels sturdy and reliable. One thing I noticed that it may have bluetooth function the icon lights up when powering on but then goes off however the app did not detect the scooter and the instructions do not mention anything about the app so this model may not have bluetooth enabled.

It is not needed, just FYI in case if you were wondering. Operating the scooter is very easy and it has a foldable design so you can take it with you in the car trunk. There is a nice and bright headlight as well as tail light which blinks when breaking.

Whats even more important is that the company stands behind its product and will work with you if you have any issues. It is very important and I applaud SmooSat for following up and making things right.

I also own a SmooSat regular kick scooter than I absolutely love, so I had fairly high expectations when ordering this one. and I will say that this scooter exceeded those expectations by miles no pun intended.

Most scooters that are advertised as for adults/kids are really more slanted towards kids. this one absolutely is NOT. This is an adult scooter or suitable for kids 12 and up who are taller etc I would sayIf I had to sum it up in one sentence, it would be this one: It is absolutely fantastic!!Heres what I love about it:1.

It is incredible easy to put together – comes assembled, all you have to do it pop in some screws after you lift the handlebars Allen wrench is included, plug it in and youre ready to go. It does come with instructions but honestly.

you dont really need them unless youve never ridden an eScooter before. in that case I recommend reading as it tells you the basic controls and how they work. 2. This thing is BUILT TOUGH. It is comparable or maybe even BETTER than the scooters you see out in cities for rent.

It is a quality construction and solid, so you can feel safe riding it. 3. The deck is wide and stable – you can definitely fit both feet on here. Its got a rubberized cover to keep your feet from slipping, too.

4, The display is big and bright. easy to see how much power you have and easy to adjust speed mode, etc. You also use this to turn on the headlamp, which is a nice feature for riding in the evenings.

5. Easy to fold – literally lift the lever and go, making this easy to use for commuting, etc or just throwing it in the car to ride out somewhere. 6. Its FAST! Goes a little faster than 15 MPH which is about your standard eBike speed.

Now, after a couple of years of owing it, the electric bike assists you up the hill, but will not make it up on its own. This scooter, on the other hand, zips up the hill with ease! I suspect it will for years to come.

Its quite powerful. I love that the front wheel cant spin 180 degrees. My son had one of those popular Razor scooters as a kid, but they had no front wheel guide, so you could spin them around much further than one would ever want to while in motion.

That design caused a lot of broken bones in his friends. They would be zipping along and yank the steering wheel causing the front tire to turn 90 degrees or more – which caused the scooter to simply stop and eject the rider.

This scooter is smart, theres no need to turn 90 degrees to the right, when you are zipping along at 10mph – so the scooter has a guide that prevents the wheel from turning that far. So much safer. The scooter has 3 power levels.

Eco mode with a max speed of 5mph. Drive with a max speed of 10mph. Super with a max speed of 15. 6mph. These modes make it easier for you to ensure you will arrive at your destination with battery to spare.

Going on a long trip, use Eco. Going on a short trip, use D. Showing off some high speed tricks, use S. Grateful that it has a metric km/h or imperial mph switch. The built in headlight is useful for when your trip takes you out a bit later than expected.

My son told me to update my review, because he mentioned that the kickstand placement means that he sometimes pinches himself when getting off the unit. He has to be a bit mindful about it because it protrudes a bit and can catch on things or skin.

Its not problematic enough for me to change my rating though. Still 5 stars.

Being the first Escooter I’ve ridden, I was impressed how it accellerated strongly up a steep grade to it’s 20mph top speed and was quite a joy to ride. I got my chance to ride with my volanteering to be tasked with replacing the rear tube after owner rode on inadequately low tire pressure and the tube and tire slipped back and forth around the the die cast wheel’s center hub which was excessively abrasive even under it’s thin layer of paint, thus wore a hole through the inside wall of the innertrube.

Granted, this effect of the rough casting protusions on the wheels center hub probably would not have sanded the hole in the innertube had it had adequate pressure in the tube with which the tire would not be prone to slip when accellerrating and braking, but I think that making sure the hubs have no grit by sanding the hub smooth before painting would be the responsibnle thing for manufacturing to not ignore.

Another important issue that I found was that the female power plug lead was near impossible to get a firm hold on to hold it in place to press the male plug of the rear wheel into without shoving the female end way back into that tunnel in the scooter body that houses it.

That lead needs to be at least 2 inches longer and protruding from the opening, if the owner or person woking on it is expected to get around the frustration of not being able to get a plier or anything around it to hold it tight enough to even start pushing the male plug half into the recepticle.

I has to pull the battery, an open up the front in order to see if i could possbly find some slack with which I could push the female plug outside of it’s hole far enoug to push the male in. I couldn’t find more slack, and I was further burdened with the soft metal of the alan head bolts being so soft as I easily stripped one out because it being excessifely tightened.

I had to drill the head off then grab the protruding shaft threads to remove the bolt and get it out of the way to drop the battery tray. How I wound up finding a solution to the inaccessible female lead was I molded an epoxy clay casing around the plug end to attach it to the inner wall of its tunnel.

I’ve never seen a more bizzare multi contact pin plug design. I had to straiten the wire leads countless times and thank god I didn’t break on off. So those soft metal allan head bolt suck. the power lead to the read wheel power hub needs to he longer or it will always be a big problem for anyone adding hours to what should have been a simple routine tube replacement.

And the rough grit all along the wheel rims center hub should be sanded smooth, because people will eventually ride underinflated and experience unnexxessary abrasion an failure of the rear tire tube.

I think customers who choose this model should be able to not have to suffer working around or face what otherwise might very well be unnecesary repair or compoment failure due to ignoring simple attention by manufaures.

Hokay, so, definitely waited a while to get to know my scooter intimately before writing a review, but i also believe in informative reviews so here goes. Pros: – Decent speed : Spent most of the 1st month on first gear which has a max speed of 15mph cause im a wimp and was scared.

Even with a large hinge at the bottom of the handle stem, it’s sturdy and doesn’t wiggle. However, since the wheels are on the smaller side, hitting a branch or bump blindly can make you lose control.

– Good power: ! am 5’1″, 120lb if that’s relevent, but going uphills is a breeze, never losing speed or the motor struggling – wheels are sturdy: 600mi, 2 years later, they have never lost pressure nor gotten a flat.

but I scoot in a city , less brambles to worry about. Treads are still going strong. – easy interface: let a friend borrow my scooter. he’s 41 and terrible at new tech but a quick verbal rundown and he understood how to input the code and change gears – built in headlight and brake lights: standard, but still nice.

They don’t drain the battery too much either. – love that it’s waterproof : just remember to put the rubber cover back onto the charging port, but i’ve left it out in the rain while working, come back to it soaked and it was still good to go.

Cons: – kinda easy to crash : before getting a seat (The one clamp on one from ninebot fits decently on this model so that’s what i got), going 20mph is a little sketchy. I’ve crashed a few times after hitting small branches or lips in the road and loosing control while going 15mph and going 20mph while standing.

both times my helmet was the only thing between my head and the concrete. once getting the seat, made the scoot much easier to control and honestly made it much more usable. folding is harder but still possible even with the seat attached.

– the red hook latch is trash : scooter tipped, fell onto packed dirt with some rocks in it, hit the red hook located near the handlebars and is snapped instantly. looks like an aluminum alloy, so brittle stuff.

they sell replacements but i ended up jerryrigging a carabiner to replace the hook if it was that fragile. – Brakes need constant adjusting: it might be me squeezing my brakes too hard. But i had to constantly be tightening my brakes through the allen key nut located on the brake caliper as the brake cable kept pulling through it and loosing the brakes.

– cable lock is flimsy: cool concept, but useless if you live in the city. everyone knows something that thin will get snipped pretty quickly. get a u-lock. – digital code is cool but bypassable: tried covering up the model of my scooter with stickers to make it harder for someone to simply look up the bypass manual but having it locked up outside while i was at work, came back to it on and unlocked but my u-lock stopped the would be thief from getting away with it.

– a bit heavy: I wouldn’t call it portable as in i can carry this easily. Again, im tiny, but it’s easy to fit into the truck or backseat of a car. – it’s trash in the snow: that’s a no brainer. but thought i’d include it.

wheels are too small or any good traction, a little snow is fine but anything past 2-3 inches and riding gets a little hairy. Notes: – 600miles later, finally buying replacement brake caliper cause my brakes pads have worn through.

– busted the bell that comes with it after a crash, bent it back into shape and it still works. – The safety kick-off feature is mildly annoying where the scooter has to be moving 2mph+ before depressing the throttle will engage the motor.

double tapping the throttle bypasses the safety but not always. – cruise control is hit or miss, sometimes nice sometimes annoying. it’s a neutral feature tbh. In the end, good alternative to biking and/or driving.

Be prepared if you lock it outside for people to think it’s a scooter that unlocks with one of the pay to ride apps and try to take it, or outright steal it. I’ve had it for 2 years, hoping to get a few more out of it which is a good value in my book.

I waited 30 days to give my review. First off, it’s for my 10 year old daughter, she loves it. Now the review. It’s a decently built scooter. Runs fines, with nice features. Some issues that have popped up in a month of use: *It makes some squeaking and creaking sounds.

Seems like the handle stem has some play in it. I’ve tightened what I can a couple of times, and that helps, but it’s seems there is too much play/torque in the stem. *The brake was mushy right out of the box, so I tightened it.

*The tires are a joke! I’d like to preface this with the fact that I am very handy. I am very well versed in patching and replacing tires on bicycles and farm equipment. The V2 tires are very small, very solid.

They should in fact be solid. But no, they have tubes. My daughter complained that her scooter was slow. So, sure enough. The front tire was flat. I grabbed my air pump, and there is no way in the world to get a air pump onto that valve stem.

The stem is literally a 1/4 ” protruded from the rim and not a millimeter to spare around the outside. You must fully disassemble the front wheel and remove the metal plate covering the motor (in the wheel) it to get the stem.

And at that point it’s still tricky. I had to use my air compressor because it has a narrower fitting than my bike pump. After finally getting air into the tire, I found a slow leak due to a small nail.

I removed the nail, and spent the next hour removing the tube, patching the tube, and then muscling the insanely small thick tire back onto the rim. I had to use tools in addition to my tire levers, that you are not supposed to use: Heavy metal screw drivers, and a heat gun.

By some miracle I did not pinch that tube using the screwdrivers and the patch held. I did however scrape up the black paint on the wheel and left some gouge marks on the tire bead. There is no way in the world an average person could fix that tire.

These scooters should come with maintenance free solid honeycomb tires.

I purchased my Emove Cruiser in December of 2020, and have had multiple issues with this scooter. -Poor brake pads I had to replace my brakepads every 500 miles or so, which is a crazy short lifespan for a scooter advertising 62 miles range.

-Throttle getting stuck I had the throttle on my cruiser get stuck down multiple times when letting go of the trigger, requiring me to flick it back up. Nearly caused quite a few accidents when I think I’m slowing down but in reality I’m maintaining pace or speeding up.

-Poor water resistance This scooter has had numerous claims throughout it’s marketing about it’s water resistance, however that is bogus. Searches and teardowns show no weatherproofing to the inside, and I have had multiple issues with water ingress in this scooter.

Anytime there’s even the lightest drizzle, the front headlight will audibly scream for the next 24-72hrs whenever the scooter is turned on. I also have controller issues which I believe may be from water ingress as well, but more on that later.

-Scooter folded in on itself mid ride During a normal ride on some paved bike trails, the screws in the folding mechanism snapped, and the scooter folded in on me. Thankfully I had stopped to chat mere seconds before, so I was only going around 5mph when it folded in, and I was able to run off.

This happened in October. -Random motor shutoffs Since April of 2021 I have had the motor of my Cruiser randomly stop during my ride, and hitting the throttle would only make it turn on for a quarter of a second before jerking me back, this quarter of a second being on issue would sometimes happen 100 times in a row before the scooter would finally kick back into gear and start going like normal.

Happens at the start, middle, or end of my journeys. I had contacted support about the issue, and at first they thought it was a throttle issue. I was offered a free replacement standard throttle, or I could buy a thumb/twist throttle.

I opted for the standard and was told 3-4 weeks. 4 months went by and I still had no throttle. I was eventually upgraded to a thumb throttle, which also took long to arrive, and I had to correct support when they first placed the order for a 48V Emove Touring throttle, and not a 52V Emove Cruiser throttle.

The throttle turned out not to be the case, and they ended up shipping me a new controller in December of 2021, a day or 2 before my warranty ended. Overall my experience with this scooter has been abyssmal, and I’m thankful that the motor shutoff issue, or the folding issue, or the poor brake pads, didn’t result in me colliding with another vehicle or pedestrian.

It has left me in the middle of a busy street before though, as I had to walk the scooter off the road as the motor refused to kick back on. I cannot recommend this scooter, as it has too many issues and flaws.

I have an 8-mile round trip commute to my office; one mile from home to the ferry, three miles from the ferry terminal to my office and then the same thing in reverse. So my top needs for a scooter were: 1.

High quality. Solid build. No cheapy plastic stuff 2. Powerful enough to do the 3-mile stint of my commute quickly and safely, yet light enough to carry up one flight of stairs. 3. Decent suspension to take up some of the less than stellar roads I need to travel 4.

Excellent post-sale support and resources How I ended up choosing the Emove Cruiser. 1. Everything on the scooter is metal, solidly built, and meant to be used daily. Maintenance tasks are few and easy to accomplish 2.

The Emove power to weight ratio is best in class. No other 1600W scooter is near the 50 lbs mark. The folding mechanism is quick, and function and the sturdy hemispherical stem makes for a solid, non-wiggly carrying handle 3.

Front and rear suspension are more than adequate to absorb small holes and road imperfections and fly off a sidewalk at cruising speed without excessive jolts. The deck platform is VERY wide, coupled with the large wheels with wide tubeless tires that add good stability to the ride.

4. Although I have had no issues with the scooter, VORO Motors has been very communicative, and their web resources answered all questions I had. After purchase experience. Buyer remorse? I am extremely happy with the purchase.

I think $1,400. 00 is a fair price for the quality and performance. On my first ride, I was immediately pleased with how fast the electric scooter is and how planted it felt while riding. I was a bit nervous about it being twitchy or unstable, none of my worries materialized.

The cruiser is stable, easy to handle, and a blast to ride. The orange color looks awesome too! Highly recommended and zero buyer remorse to report ;-).

5 stars for the battery and the truth in advertising about range. It is the real deal as shown in a Youtube video where the guy travels FULL SPEED and gets the entire advertised range (and then some).

I’d be surprised if it would not get 100 miles if you kept it at half speed (around 15mph). Unlike the Ninebot Max, which I also own, where to get the 40 mile advertised range you have to be in the pathetic Eco mode which has ridiculously slow, snail acceleration which tops out at 10mph.

You get half that range in normal “sport” mode which tops out at 19mph. But the Ninebot Max may be where my many disappointments comes in with the EMOVE Cruiser. The Ninebot Max has super solid fit/finish and quality.

The Cruiser lacks this and despite my reading many, many reviews. These problems were not mentioned and was unexpected to me. Therefore it became a disappointment in which I almost returned it. The front brake rotor came slightly bent or out of round as evidenced by the pulsing and vibration when using it.

The front tire had a small leak and would lose about 10 psi per day. That is potentially a front rim quality issue allowing a little air to leak (I don’t think it is tire defect). The rim/wheel looks poor quality with many scuff marks and little dents near the tire sealing area.

Also one of the sandpaper foot tape strips was already coming off. Worst of all for me was the throttle. Horribly the throttle was a million miles away from the smooth throttle and speed control of the Ninebot Max that I previously experienced.

They really need to improve this. I hope they can invest in an improvement in this area. It feels so cheap as if it will break any day (I hope not) and it has a dead spot followed by a very abrubt start.

Very difficult to smoothly control as I would have expected on a scooter in this price range. Braking from over 20mph is not confidence inspiring at all. Everything vibrates and shakes in any fast stopping and it sometimes feels like the stem is going to break in half as I saw it unfortunately do to people before.

My height is 6’3 so if you are this height or above you might be like me and wish the handlebars could be risen a little higher. It took me a while to get used to the low handlebars even at max height setting compared to the more comfortable and higher handlebars of the Ninebot Max.

The suspension bottoms out a lot on even slight little bumps but seems to be holding up OK. I have almost 200 miles on it and I do enjoy the incredible range and higher speeds compared to my Ninebot Max.

Thankfully they sent the Orange tire stuff which worked to seal up that leak in the front tire. So after all I am glad I kept it because of the long explorations it can handle and the good speed it is capable of.

Having fun with the ride, but several things wrong. Packing was marginal, screws were missing, would NOT charge and absolutely NO instructions! 1-Packing: box was beat-up bad, too much room inside so it slid around and broke through in a couple places.

2-Screws missing: 4 screws to hold the handlebar & red fold-up retainer to the handlebar were missing. FYI-They are a 10-32 x 3/4″. 3-Controls: followed the help video on the GoTrax website and cannot get the controller to accept a new code to be changed from the default factory code.

Its kept inside so not a big problem, yet. 4-Would not charge: supplied charger would only indicate green, red indicates charging. It came with half a charge so we rode it and experimented the speed and thought maybe it will charge when its run down? Nope.

Watched a video on changing the battery and I could see the battery connector inside and thought I would check that. Sure enough, the battery connector is “keyed” so it should only be allowed to plug together one way, but the factory slammed it together defeating the plastic keyways and forced it together with reverse polarity! It ran, it just wouldn’t charge.

After that fix it’s charging fine now. My military career of an F-16 electrician did pay off!!! 5-Instructions: Nothing in the box at all. Overall, it was a good purchase with the discount, for a first-time scooter.

After using it for a few weeks, it is easy to fold and carry, charges overnight and does what they say it will. We’ll see how the control issue is handled. Hopefully GoTrax can fix some issues within.

Worst GPS I’ve used so far. Extremely difficult to navigate through it’s menus. There is nothing intuative about the way it works.

Bought this as a replacement for an older unit with outdated maps. Cheaper than purchasing updated maps for my old GPS

Pros: – Decent speed for getting around, close enough to compete with cars on small roads and downhill for when pedestrians are too present. Max 25KmH on flats and can get up to 38 going downhill. – Versatile, folds up nicely, though a little bit heavier than other models it still can be moved around relatively easily.

– No need for large charger, simply the clover cord which is much more convenient. – IPX5 water resistant so it can handle a little bit of rain which was a selling point for me personally as I want to get places even through the rain.

– Holds charge well. Using it Monday to Friday in regular 15-minute trips around 2-3 times a day I could still push for a few more however I charge mine weekly and it ends up with around 25-30% on Friday evening.

– Well priced during sales so grab them when you get the chance after considering the following cons. Cons: – Front brakes so always be cautious with your weight distribution as Auckland is quite hilly as we all know.

– Still limited to 25KmH so you know, its fast but not incredibly fast comparatively (imagine having speed as a pro and a con. ) – No suspension in this model so you are feeling every little bump on the way.

– Air tires are good at eliminating a small number of bumps, but a pain to change should they deflate. No spare is provided. Notes: – Locking it up for trips. I use mine primary when I can bring it with me for the entire time or when I can store it in an exclusive area i.

e break room at work. Scooter thieves are getting bolder and bolder so get a good U-Lock and 1 to 2 more solid cord locks to add a bit more intimidation and protection to it. Remember locking it up in an area too secluded gives a thief a long time to themselves when working on the lock and locking it up somewhere too public advertises the scooter for theft especially if it is there on a regular basis.

8. 5/10 Just because you can get real familiar with getting around at max speeds and it is a happy middle ground for performance and price.

Its fun and gets to about 22mph and I’m about 150lbs. However the battery technology is a total fail. The lead acid batteries are super heavy, charge slowly and fail quickly. If just one of the 3 cells fail, the whole scooter fails.

After keeping this under my house for a few years I ordered a custom lithium ion battery as a replacement to the lead acid variety. It took some rewiring because I no longer use the charge port (or the AC charger that came with it).

However, the end result is pretty great. Since the scooter is lighter, it actually goes faster. It cost about 275 for the battery but the scooter goes about 27mph.

The machine is awesome! Very sturdy and virtually indestructible. Excellent value. Has the speed and offroad capability that will be difficult to beat. The bummer note are: no speedometer, very heavy but due to the solid build.

The last thing is the range is quite low at 12 miles. Since I have only one speed level, fast as heck, it has to be charged when not riding it. But this machine will give me YEARS of service. 2 thumbs up, dan from scooter snap.

The moment I opened the box. Love at first sight!! IMPORTANT INFO FOR NEW RIDERS!!! ok so I waited so long for this thing to finally get here that once I got it, I didn’t bother reading the manual so I basically attached everything on the outside like handlebar, horn, seat, tweaked it etc.

I noticed the scooter had no charge. I charged about 4hrs, tried again and nothing. Lights would go on then cut right back off and it wouldn’t even hold a charge. then I realized I had to connect the fuses and the battery connecter from the inside.

once I did that. this baby lit up and torqued me right down the street. MAKE SURE TO CHECK ALL WIRING BEFORE HAND!! ANOTHER THING : the speed was pretty quick to begin with so I tried the turbo button to see the difference and nothing!! I tried it over and over and still nothing.

next day nothing!! I figured whatever maybe its just a small defect which honestly was not important since the speed was ok. FOR TURBO : you have to disconnect the gray wire located within the battery compartment.

once you do that, you will definitely see the difference. if you want to keep it at normal speed KEEP THE GRAY WIRE CONNECTED!!(ESPECIALLY IF A CHILD IS RIDING IT) overall I’m loving this scooter! the only CON so far is.

its pretty heavy especially with the battery pack. I have to conquer a short flight of about 35 stairs going and coming from work and have to detach the seat to then detach the battery to then fold the scooter to then carry it up.

so its pretty heavy and bulky. other than that I love this thing!!.

I want to give my Aventon Level a fair review being objective as best as possible. From a consumer point of view where I want to get the most I can for my money I think overall the bike was a ok/good purchase but not great or excellent 4&5 stars.

The best thing I like about the bike is the frame, good finish, paint and welds, nice rear rack. For the price consider the things you are not getting, torque sensor, rear suspension, built in lights and medium quality for other components.

With over 250+ miles on the bike and my first flat tire there were many components on the bike that were not great for my taste. I did not like the quality of the handgrips, handle bar, lack of adjustability with the stem, the tires are not great, flat uncomfortable seat, the fenders and rear rack seem like they just have black primer on them.

The brakes are very good and grippy but very loud, to the point you might be ashamed at breaking around people! I have not checked but they feel like a sintered pad. Under heavy front wheel breaking I feel some play in the headset which is not good.

Now I think you are going to have to spend money on any bike to make it fit you and your situation, make it practical for you to use but I think there were too many items on my list and I wished I got better components overall for what I paid.

I am always on assist level 5 pedaling trying to go 24mph+ and I feel the drivetrain is not matched very well with the possible top end speeds. At high speeds on the tallest gear I’m pedaling at very high rpms without adding much to the forward progress.

The M5 backlit lcd display is not great for me, it does this weird thing were it predicts how much battery you will have in the future under current conditions. I wished it just reported actual battery charge at that moment.

My round trip to work is about 12 miles. On the way there the display usually reports no drain at all on the battery. On the way back the battery charge goes up and down sometimes down to two notches.

When I finally stop getting home and stop it goes back up to about half way. I just ignore it now so its not very useful. All of instructions also said to download the app! And then its like Oh to bad you did not pay more for the color display, no app phone connectivity for you.

You could buy a decent used motorcycle for this kind of money, or an EScooter or a different EBike with twice the battery and range. With all of that in mind now that my wife is looking for an EBike I’m pretty sure its not going to be an Aventon sorry to say.

I can get more for the money somewhere else.

This bike is nice. I traded in The Aventon Pace 500 v2 for this Level. 2 bike mainly to get the new torque sensor. The torque sensor is much better for my taste than the cadence sensor for pedaling – a much smoother, less unpredictable assistance – seems less dangerous.

The drawbacks of this bike for me are: 1. the “large” frame is a little small for me when compared to the Pace 500v2 bike’s large frame. I am 6′ 1″ tall. 2. The handlebars are way too low for me – straight bars.

The Pace 500 had an adjustable stem and raised bars. This bike does not. I fixed these issues by replacing the handlebars with some 6″ riser bars for about $50 – Great now. 3. The seat is not good, not even as nice as the one on the Pace 500 v2 (lower priced bike).

I fixed this issue by replacing with a new springy seat and a suspension seat post. To sum it up, the level. 2 bike is great with a few modifications if you are tall or have a bad back and want the torque sensor and other options.

If you don’t care about the torque sensor (biggest reason for me), the included fenders, rack, and shocks on the forks, the Pace 500v2 is better out of the box for a tall guy and seems sturdier. The Pace 500 is a stiffer ride though.

It is too bad Aventon did not include the adjustable stem, raised handlebars, and better seat on their more expensive level. 2 bike. Though, I would still probably replace the Pace 500 seat also. The torque sensor is worth getting this bike, at least for now.

I have put over 100 miles on it so far without issues. I can go 20 miles and still have about 70% charge left – don’t know how accurate that reading is. We’ll see how the bike holds up over time.

Having ridden over 200 miles on the bike as of today, I can say that it has proven both a comfortable and reliable ride. Minor quibbles: — The Bengel Ares 3 brakes are noisy. Took it to the local bike shop where they made sure the rotors are true and lightly sanded the pads.

Still making a lot of noise. Noisy enough that they turn heads of pedestrians on the shared use path. Reliably stops the bike though. May upgrade to something better in the future, but after 200 miles, I’ve become used to the noise and switching isn’t cheap.

— Shifting works well, but my Level was equipped with the Shimano Altus shift group instead of the Acera. Aventon does say they can substitute components. — The Zoom shock absorbers are not the greatest and tend to bottom out occasionally.

In the end, decided to lock them out. — No water bottle mount points, but that is easy and inexpensive to solve. What I really like: — The motor does a good job. My ride to work consists of a seven mile uphill climb (from 1 to 3 degrees) followed by varied inclines/declines for 11 miles with a short, but steep incline at the end.

— The battery is able to get me to and from work on a single charge using mostly assist level 2. Occasional use of assist level 3 is mixed in as well. I use the throttle to get going at intersections.

— The step through model really helps with mounting/dismounting. I have the medium/large frame. I’m 6’1″ and find it useful when I’ve got my large trunk bag mounted on the rear rack. If I didn’t have the trunk bag the step-over version would be fine.

— The bike is aesthetically pleasing. I get compliments on the bike’s appearance.

Before you read this review, I would like to say, this is my experience and in nothing changes how wonderful and magic this bike is! 1. In stock items, Urban Rider states ‘Order before 12 noon (Mon – Fri) for same day dispatch’, in my case, this didn’t happen.

Paid full amount Tuesday 21pm, expecting dispatch Wednesday. Only dispatched Thursday. However, Urban Rider also said, expected delivery in 2 to 3 days. Dispatched Thursday but arrived Friday, so end up right in the end.

I got nervous about it, made contact with Support, they couldn’t tell me what happened, but bike was on the way; 2. Bike arrived with FedEx. One man crew, well I end up being the second man moving the box.

Heads up, make sure you can help otherwise. not Urban Rider fault in my opinion; 3. Bike was very dusty, not pristine clean and. had 6 miles on it! Check video. Support understood my concern, however, moved this ‘issue’ to Super73, part of an assemble and test manufacture.

Hum. some parts, especially the pedals, had some good use, and paint was chipped; 4. Communication with Support was initially good, however, they haven’t replaced my pedals, and when I asked for an update, no reply at all! This is a missive concern.

Super73 told me to contact Urban Rider if any concerns with the bike, warranty, etc. Well. if they don’t reply to a simple issue, not sure how they will help if any motor issues for example. Again, this is my overall experience.

However, the bike is an absolute joy to ride! You can also make some mods (join the community). This is mainly USA, however, you can easily order parts to UK. Super73 in Europe is located in Netherlands, if this is a concern for you, then you should look for a different bike, but let me tell you.

you will regret!.

I wrote a review already but super 73 didn’t post it – trying again… i need a comfortable bike because I ride a lot and a I have a bad back – the description of the ZX says “it’s one of the most comfortable super 73’s to date”.

That’s what made me order it. It’s not written anywhere in the description or on the super 73 website that this bike doesn’t have shocks. There’s even a head on photo of the front fork that appears to be shocks… I challenge you to find an e-bike out there on the market at this price point that does not have some kind of suspension.

The way this bike is marketed leads you to believe that it has shocks. Then I saw a review on YouTube that explained that this bike actually does not come with shocks, so I called super 73; when I mentioned I wanted shocks on my ZX, or I would order something else, the guy on the phone acted like he didn’t even know what I was talking about because he said the ZX does have shocks… then I watched another YouTube video where a different reviewer also explained that it doesn’t come with shocks, so I called super 73 and explained that I needed suspension – I have never heard back.

I love super 73 – I have an S2 that I ride everyday… but I hate that they are unclear and not transparent. Why not just mention in a disclaimer that this new generation bike actually has zero suspension? Why did the guy on the phone think the bike has shocks? Why didn’t they return my message and explain? And why didn’t they post my last review? I haven’t received the bike yet, but I’m assuming it doesn’t come with suspension – I have never ridden a bike without suspension that I found to be comfortable… certainly not one of the most comfortable super 73s consider my S2 has awesome front shocks, and the R and RX ride like rolls royces… why can’t I get some clarity? I still haven’t even heard from super 73 whether or not there is suspension on the bike I’m about to receive… please just be transparent and communicative.

That’s all I’m asking for. Super frustrating.

Seriously. the coolest bike. I see them cruizing around and just the actual design of this bike makes it superior to many other options. I had the opportunity to ride my buddys Super73-RX. and man, the most comfortable seat, tons of power, great suspension, handles about any terrain you can throw at it.

I am such a huge fan. I was looking around for a affordable bike that will be able to offer what this bike has. there is no other option as good as this as far as I am concerned. I am now 100% the bike is worth the price tag, wont be easy to afford for me.

but i will make it happen. this bike is worth it. if you are in the same boat as I am. just bite the bullet, I am going to and I KNOW I will be happy I did, so will you!!! Thanks SUPER73 team.

I bought this bike to replace my 30+ Year-old road bike. I didn’t want another road bike because the posture was hard on my wrists. This cruiser fit the bill! So easy and comfortable to ride, and I love how the seat is set so your get can almost touch the ground.

The gears are really easy to shift as well. The only downside is the weight: this girl is very heavy, but it feels so sturdy I don’t mind it too much.

This bike has a new geometry wherein you sit further back and lower to the ground. This makes it easier to reach the ground with your feet, and means that you sit straighter up without putting weight on your hands and arms.

It is more of a recumbent position and I have found it makes for a comfortable ride. The quality of the components (brakes, gears, bearings, seat) is impressively high and exceeds expectations and it seems easy to make adjustments as needed.

My only complaint about the bike is that it is too easy to turn! I’d rather that it stayed more in a straight groove. I imagine this is part of the geometry and that if the front wheel position was moved forward this issue would disappear for me.

Note: The handlebars are somewhat wide – it is comfortable in riding but just be aware if you are riding on a sidewalk there may be little clearance between say a fence and a light pole. All in all a great bike with helpful features and high quality all around.

I purchased the “Ride in the Park Consistent” model bike as soon as it was made available. Am satisfied with the purchase, bike is comfortable and looks great. Assembly about same level of difficulty as some more complicated Ikea furniture.

Most complicated portion for me was adjusting the gears, but even that was not too bad. My only issue was that the assembly manual appeared to be for the regular “Ride in the Park” bike, not the “Consistent” variation.

As a result a couple portions of the instructions were inapplicable, without explanation. My bike has 7 gears that are appropriate for general, primarily level, riding with occasional small hills. If I was riding over more frequent or steeper hills I would opt for something with more gears in order to get a suitable low gear.

Bike great for around town, would not want to do much off- road cycling with it. Overall very happy with the product.

I ordered the 7 gear consistent; the bike itself is solid and gets the job done, however the process left a lot to be desired. PROS: 1. The company seems to genuinely care about its customers. They send a variety of emails in support of customers, and emphasize that they’re here to help.

2. The bike itself rides smoothly and looks nice. It also came with a nice rear rack. 3. Packaging also contained sticker and post cards. CONS: 1. The instructions in the print manual, online manual, and youtube video were all incorrect when it came to this bike.

The instructions had tools this bike didn’t have, and the inconsistency started from the very first page. Having never assembled a bike before, this “1 hour process” took considerably longer than that, and I ended up having to take it to a bike shop anyway to get it completely assembled.

2. The youtube assembly mechanic put the seat tube into the frame without putting on the seat first. I tried the same and my tube fell into the frame. When I emailed sixthreezero about it, they sent a generic response that did not end up assisting me, so I went to the bike shop, and even they were unable to take the tube out from the frame.

3. I’d called sixthreezero to help talk me through the assembly process, as I was also having issues with the gears, and the mechanic was unavailable. They said they would call me back but never got around to it.

All in all, while the bike works, the assembly process was a pain because the instructions were off. I can’t recommend buying this bike unassembled to any amateur riders. If you’re not technically proficient with bikes, you may as well have someone else assembly it, or buy something fully assembled already.

Sixthreezero is a great choice for the casual biker. Their selection of bikes is great. I received my bike even sooner than originally promised and was able to put it all together in a little over an hour with their printed guide and instructional videos on YouTube.

When a part had broken on my bike (completely on my doing not because of faulty parts), they responded quickly and had a replacement part out to me in just a few days. I get compliments on my bike all the time and I’m really glad I chose Sixthreezero for the first bike I’ve bought in years.

As title indicates, there are 6 TurboAnt X7 Pro scooters that were being ridden in my neighborhood by my teenage son and his friends. After 6 months (conveniently after motor and battery warranty expired) various components have gone out on the scooters to render them unusable.

ALL of them are affected by a serious design flaw in how the handle stem attaches to the scooter body, requiring constant re-tightening of the screws every few days even with the use of red thread-locker, that should require heat for removal.

One stem even broke from the stresses. Their customer support is non-existent. I first reached out to TurboAnt support about the stem/body connection issue and received a response (after 9 days) that they would replace my sons steering stem since had completely broke and was unsafe to drive ( he is only 110lbs at age 14, not an oversized kid / they have a 1 yr structural warranty).

I responded to that e-mail with their requested information within an hour of receipt to no avail. After 5 days of no-update from them, I sent another request for status update. After no response, I sent another at 15, and then 21 days.

still no response. In short, they responded to 1 of my 6 e-mails over a period of 45+ days. In my final e-mail I indicated that I would leave this negative review if they failed to respond within 7 days.

well, here we are. Due to my troubleshooting skills developed from the constant maintenance of my own kids’ scooter, I was asked by the other parents to help diagnose their scooter issues using my sons scooter parts to determine 2 motors were bad, 2 controllers were bad and 1 battery was bad, with these six scooters only being 7 months old by then.

Something else to note, one of the kids in this group is of larger stature. like 5’10 / 190lbs and his scooter has only been able to go about 9 mph since day 1 and gets significantly less battery life than the other kids (like 30 – 50% less).

Based on my experience with these six identical TurboAnt units, I WOULD NOT BUY TURBOANT. Many of the parents are now taking a chance with HiBoy S2 Pro. Their design for connecting the stem to the body seems more secure / less trouble-prone.

Also, it has led lights under the board to give more visibility in the dark. Time will tell with these.

Buyer Beware. We purchased 2 of the XPro scooters for our family and gave them as Christmas gifts to our boys in December of 2020/Jan 2021. Our boys actually started riding them in about late March early April due to living in Utah.

The scooters look sleek and feel very well-made and our boys enjoyed riding them for the spring and summer of that year. These scooters were always garaged, never left out in the elements and taken very good care of and allowed to charge properly throughout their usage.

My wife and I would often take them out in the evenings as well. I weigh about 220, but this was well within the weight limits description. In the late fall of that same year we noticed both batteries having trouble retaining charges and both of them running out sooner after being fully charged.

This continued to get worse until after being fully charged the battery would turn on and then immediately turn off. We contacted turbo ant with our issue letting them know that we had not even had them a full year and one had died completely and the other way declining.

They had us buy an electrical test kit and do some tests on the battery to ensure that it was the battery that was dying and send them pictures. They concluded that was the case and said that they would offer us a small discount on a new battery ($10 off! Lol!) but this was normal wear for a battery.

With the cost of these battery replacements being $200 each it is almost like buying half of a scooter every year for us and not what we had imagined when we purchased these and made our decision to buy turbo ant over Segway.

Unfortunately the family across the street purchased the Segway scooters and continue to enjoy their scooters today and now looking back I wish we had too. Ours have sat idly in our garage this spring as our boys are unable to ride them due to the fact that we don’t want to sink $400 into scooter batteries a year after we bought them.

I have been researching for a good E scooter for some weeks. Most have good speed but not good distance on 1 charge, and the ones that do are very very pricey. Which, led me to this Turbo Ant. Out the gate, its already assembled with pretty easy instructions.

You should definitely tighten the hand brakes when you get the scooter first and adjust it as needed. Secondly, before anything, charge it completely. Avoid riding in sand or loose rocks for best traction.

Below is what I like and what I dont like Like: 1) ease of use 2) comes with spare inner tube 3) head light works very well and brake lights blink when braking 4) compact 5) decent speed of 20 miles per hour (on flat service with no hills) 6) does a decent job of going up hill 7) Has 3 speed modes, perfect for beginners to get used to before going up to 20 mph 8) braking system of hand break and foot break.

9) Cruise control 10) very very well made. Dont Like: 1) Feels like it drags sometimes where you can feel it jerk a bit when you are trying to get a smooth ride 2) You feel everything that you go over, no shock or spring system 3) Takes 6 hours for full charge of a dead battery 4) No automatic shut off on battery charger to prevent over heating (but I think it does actually stop charging when green but have felt the charge remain warm) 5) No instructions on how to remove the inner tube 6) Acceleration is a bit laggy 7) Turning ability slightlyt limited 8) Its heavy to carry for too long of a distance 9) no accesories to be bought, such as storage, additional lights, mirrors etc 10) No theft locking available, no app If you can get past the things I dont like, then this is the ride for you.

I use it to commute to work and back and It does a great job. The promise of up to 30 miles is a bit of a reach to be honest, you will need to be on low mode with no hills and no braking and accelerating back and forth.

On sport mode, you will probably get 20 miles at most. But aside from that, I think this is better than many of the other known brands and for the price, you cannot get anything better. Personally, I definitely recommend this scooter.

For you beginners, take your time on low mode, then progress to the 2nd mode and eventually to sport mode.

Where I live, (Nova Scotia, Canada) it is hilly. From home to work and back, there are many, many hills, some of which are quite steep and large. On my Townie, using the max assist, in a low gear, I finally made it up the largest, steepest hill in my commute.

I loved my old bike, but I went to the Townie because I’m getting closer to 60 and my knees aren’t what they used to be. The Townie is longer and heavier than my previous bike and one of my real challenges has been learning how to manage some of the sharper cornering with the longer bike and power assist.

On the Townie GO, the assist works a bit like cruise control in car. While you’re pedaling, the assist is boosting you. If you brake or stop pedaling, the assist suspends until you begin to pedal. It seems like any amount of forward pedal will produce a surge of assist, which I especially appreciated while making a left turn in traffic, while going uphill.

One thing I’ve noticed, is that I have an increased confidence in being in traffic. My commute takes me 25 – 30 minutes by car; on my old bike, about an hour through trails and neighbourhood roads; on my Townie Go it takes around 35-40 minutes.

I like the handlebars, I like how upright I’m sitting, I like the feeling of being flat-footed when stopped, and I’m loving the boosted assist. I use a rear basket. With the assist, I quit thinking in terms of what I couldn’t carry because of the weight it added and I started thinking in terms of, what do I want to take with me today.

I read reviews, I watched videos on You Tube, I saw some ladies in my neck of the woods on their Townies and asked them how about theirs, and I spoke to other cyclists who had switched to electric bicycles.

I’m glad I finally made the leap, it’s made such a positive difference in my riding. This was a BIG purchase for me and I’m glad I did it.

This bike is meant as a pleasure cruiser, not necessarily a daily commuter. The balloon tires feel for a nice ride overall, but are easy to rupture. I got a flat my 2nd time out. If you’re going to be going through areas of unlevel surfaces like potholes or rail road tracks, you’ll need tougher tires.

That max out of 20mph can be a bit of a bummer. You can coast downhill faster than that, but once you’re full speed on the highest gear, you will know because you have no torque left in your pedal, even if you’re not using the pedal assist.

Gears 1-3 are completely useless, unless your goal is to pedal 100x and go next to nowhere because there’s no torque. I think just having some more torque power could have added some speed to the bike.

However, at the highest gear, the bike is a pleasure to pedal. I never actually need to be in any gear other than 7. The cruiser style puts you in a more upright position, with higher handlebars. At first, this was completely foreign to me as I’ve always had mountain bikes.

I love not sitting on my wrists and having pain in my hands. Since I’m more of a travel for fun and commute and not out here jumping hills and doing tricks, I like it. Might even raise the handlebars on my other bikes.

The seat is pretty comfortable also. I’m still crushing my pelvic bone in the front, although less than my other bikes and my butt is pretty cozy. The bike itself is pretty attractive. I’m going for a more mountain bike style on my next one, but Electra has nice colors and overall just pretty.

So many companies are doing this one-size-fits-all thing and I do not like it. I don’t understand the whole “flat foot technology”. What have they done special besides create a conversation about making sure you can put your feet on the ground?? I have no idea.

I’ve tried like crazy for the past week to figure it out. I’m almost 5’6″. I am tip-toed on this bike even when the seat is all the way down. I definitely have to come off the seat to flat-foot the ground.

And I definitely cannot ride with the seat in the lowest position. Let’s be real, no bike company has a bike built for me. Last time I had. A bike I could easily reach the ground, my feet were hitting the tires because I have very much above average size feet for a barely reaching average height.

When the frame is short enough, the frame is not long enough and I’ve always had to put up with not reaching the ground. It’s maddening. One day I’ll get a custom bike and it will be the one that lasts the rest of my life.

I swear 😆I got last year’s model (2021) and I really like the look of the battery on the back with a rack. I’m sure this has it’s downfalls. Now batteries are built-in to the frame and that’s I’m sure better for longevity and not as immediately identifiable as an ebike to theives.

But the one on the back with the rack looks cool, am I right? LoL.

I absolutely love this bike. I find that just knowing you have the assistance if you need it makes you want to cycle more, farther, and try new routes. Last weekend I cycled a 24-km route that I would have been more hesitant about if I didn’t have my Townie Go.

My view on what’s feasible has totally changed. It is very easy to switch between no assistance and pedal assistance, which is normally what I do. It rides very well as a “non-e” bike, and the 7 gears are helpful for this.

When I’m using the motor, I tend to ride in 7th gear unless I’m going up a hill. I am definitely heavy and the motor still gets me up average hills fine. I do have to put a BIT of effort in, but I expected as much and don’t mind.

It’s very minimal. If you are looking to put absolutely no effort and do a lot of commuting up hills, you may need a bike with a more powerful motor and larger battery. That being said, I have still taken this to work or out on errands on routes with some small hills and it’s a breeze.

The battery lasts about as well as I expected. I would say I have to charge it after 3-4 rides, and even then, the battery isn’t dead– I just want to make sure it’s full for the next one. It is very quiet, just a faint whine when the motor kicks in.

The bike is also very comfortable, as all Townies are. If you’ve never ridden in the upright position, it’s a game changer as well! My back has always hurt on mountain/commuter bikes but doesn’t with this one.

After stealing my bike a few times, my husband has now bought his own e-bike. Everyone I’ve let try it out has been impressed at how fun and comfortable it is. I would definitely recommend giving this bike a try if you can– you may be surprised!.

This Bike is solid as they come. I have never built a bike before but this one was fairly simple. Watch some YouTube videos and it’s straight forward. I was impressed with the packing and even if MikesBikes doesn’t answer the phone, they are quick to call or email you back.

I wish their DIY video was Ebike specific as that would have been great, and I do recommend hitting your local bike shop to double check all the nuts and bolts to the proper torque specs in Nm. I didn’t trust the torque socket set I got online (made in China) and I’m glad as it would have most likely ruined my bike.

Gazelle Rocks!!! So does MikesBikes. Remember left pedal rotates left to tighten…lol. FYI…. This is the single largest online purchase I have made to date and it was seemless. About 8 business days from purchase to delivery.

I read the BBB rating and still felt comfortable going forward. The complaint I read seemed to be the customer’s fault…. So yes I fully recommend MikesBikes. I’m 56 and a somewhat hard to please shopper…lol.

Thoroughly enjoying the Gazelle. Logan was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. prior to this purchase I had never heard of a Presta valve. While on a Gazelle users Facebook page I came across a suggestion of getting an adaptor so that air compressors at gas stations etc could be used to fill the tires.

Luckily I asked for one and Logan gave me an adaptor before leaving the store. When I got home Tuesday nite I took the bike out for a quick ride and did notice that the rear tire seemed to be a little soft compared to the front.

I just assumed it was because of my weight. When I went to go for a ride the next morning the rear tire was entirely deflated. Luckily I had the adaptor and was able to inflate the tire using my air compressor that I keep in our car for emergecy use.

I called the store and spoke to a Luke about what I should do. I have a tire pressure gauge that fits the Schraeder valves but obviously not the Presta valve. As I said I had no previous experience with the Presta valves and now see that you can buy tire pressure gauges for the Presta valve.

My next purchase I guess. Why did the tire go flat? No answer to that but I did advise Luke that both front and rear valve stems were loose. I hand tightened each so that there is no movement. So far each tire seems to be fine so hopefully the valves are o-kay.

As far as the bike goes, other than the issue with a flat tire we are very pleased. I do have 3 suggestions for you that might make the buying experience a little better. I’m not sure I would have have been given an adaptor if I had not asked for one but in view of my experience every bike that goes out of your store should include and adaptor.

I also asked about theft protection and Logan explained the Garage 529 program to me. I agreed to the program and was billed the$15 for it. This is something that could be included on every bike purchase.

Your customers would be impressed and it is only a small cost to you. My last suggestion would be to have a page made up with some of the basic information on it that customers might typically ask about, things like tire pressure, how to fill and measure the psi, maintence do’s and don’ts, scheduled service appointments etc.
