20 Best Velcro For Fabric (2022 Updated)

This Velcro is very strong and durable!! I bought it for my husband’s sleep apnea adjustable strap that holds the plastic mask in place. The original velcro on the strap would not stick together anymore, he loves it!!.

The industrial velcro brand is stronger and efficent for my use and purpose; it holds up well for my heavier items needing to place and secure Without fears of items falling. My son uses it for his projects to hold heavier items before I have a chance too use is so I am sure I will be back for more.

I will have to hide the next purchase so I have the velcro for my purposes. before he sees it available!.

So far, seems to hold well. I use it to secure oil paintings into wood frames so the stretchers are not damaged in any way. The hook and loop is not a concern but the adhesive holding the pieces into the frame itself, but this seems good.

The size selection I bought needs to be cut to fit, no problem, and the sticky back can be difficult to get a fingernail under to peel.

I used hotglue instead of sewing because it was going on EVA foam, but it still did the job just as well. the hot glue gave out before the velcro did, very strong adherence.

These work great! Gets the job done for whatever you need them for, I was always losing my tv remote and with these I can Velcro them in a specific spot and always find it!

Strong sticky Velcro was perfect for my wooden porch sign! It sticks well to most surfaces.

These strips are stronger than the standard Velcro product and can be used indoors and outdoors. They can be used on plastic. They are easy to use; just peel and stick.

I use mine to keep my Easy Pass Unit in place in my vehicles. I am often moving from on vehicle to the other as I do volunteer driving for the American Red Cross picking up blood at donation centers and transferring it to the center in Rochester NY where it is processed for patient use.

I drive my vehicles and that means moving my easy pass between them. Last year I drove over 7,000 miles on a 2013 Subaru Outback during the Covid crisis. I love these strips as they can be used for so much in my vehicle.

They also work great to keep my garage door remote handy as it likes to drop off the visor. Cell phone is another thing that can be secured using these strip on the console.

I had problems keeping my charging cord bundled up because the Velcro tie keeping it tied up was literally worn out. I went out looking for new ties and came across these ones. They have been a lifesaver.

Not only do they do the job of keeping my charging cord all bundled up but the material is of great quality and I don’t see any wear or tear even after sticking and removing the Velcro ends over and over.

I bought this to try to make Monks cloth adhere more tightly to my plastic fabric frame. Although the tape didn’t work for what I wanted to do, it is easy to use and I’m sure it will hold 5 pounds of weight.

It is packaged well, has good directions and I’m sure there will be other ways for me to use it.

My front door is metal and I wanted to put a Xmas reef up. So I decided to use the sticky Velcro to put a hook on the door. The Velcro was the perfect solution. I love it.

All I needed it for was to stick a sunglass case to the inside roof of my car,it works. Already been a few weeks and it hasn’t moved at all. Will defiantly purchase again.

Exactly what I needed. These velcro strips were used to attach a cloth curtain to a wall (above a side-light on a front door). they are holding up very well.

This Velcro literally doesn’t stick to itself which kind of defeats the purpose. The rough side won’t stick to the fuzzy side. Like not even a little bit. I’m honestly shocked at how completely useless it is.

So don’t bother with this one.

Purchased for in store pick-up and had assumed based off the name “So 10 Yd X 5/8 Wht S&f Reel” that I would be receiving 10 yards of a sew on velcro. Imagine my surprise when I arrived home to see only a 10 inch cut.

Decent enough of a product but definitely overpriced for the size received.

I prefer sew-in Velcro to the other types and I have been using the soft and flexible for quite some time for adult as well as baby bibs as it is soft and is much more flexible for small spaces and necklines.

It doesn’t have the strength of regular Velcro so I feel that it is a little safer to use with items for kids. I just wish that it wasn’t so expensive, but that is a manufacturer’s decision, not JoAnn’s, so buy it when it is on sale!!.

Used this product, to add patches of black material to a white tshirt to create a snowman tshirt. The velcro stuck to the material good and stayed all the day to the shirt. The idea came from Margaret, an associate at Micheals located at 3130 Gulf Fwy S, Dickinson, TX 77539.

I purchased this expecting an OK quality Velcro. it is way more than that. I purchased it to attach a thick plastic to cover my patio sliding door. With a dog door in place, it leaves a gap between the sliding doors.

Filling the gap with pip cover foam works well, but placing the clear plastic over keeps it sealed well. So I used this white Velcro all the way around the frame as well as some on the floor. The plastic is a heavy, thick clear plastic usually used for a table cloth covers.

I didn’t expect the Velcro to hold this so well. The Velcro is extremely strong and hold the heavy plastic very well and helps create a good seal around the door. Now in the spring I can remove the plastic, roll it up and store it until winter next year.

I used the soft side on the plastic and the hook side on the framing. Since it is white, it’s not that noticeable on the white trim.

We bought a raincoat for our foster dog to prevent getting him too wet but as he’s an odd shape, the Velcro strap was too long around his waist but his long body required a large size coat (looks like a mini elongated golden retriever).

We bought these stick on Velcro patches so the strap of the rain coat could wrap around further and be secured. Wasn’t sure if this product would stick into raincoat material but it’s worked splendidly!.

Unfortunately, those didn’t work for the purpose I intended to use them. If you want to use them on something you will not wash, then they may be ok. They were easy to use. However, if you are thinking of washing the item , then I would not recommend.

It is indicated that it goes in the washing at 30 degrees however, the velcro came 50% unstuck after first wash (30 degrees and after the curing time).

Have bought these before. They are ideal for , well anything that needs a fastening. I’ve used them on cushions instead of zips. Have also used them in an open tote bag to hold it closed to prevent my items from falling out.

They stick really well and hold fast.

This velcro had very weak gripping abilities. will be okay for lightweight materials but not for canvas which would I wanted it for. The hook was very small and weak and the loop part of the velcro was also very small or minimal.

I needed a more industrial hook and loop Velcro.

I bought this soft velcro for a 1920 quilt that a friend wanted to hang on his wall. I machine sewed this soft velcro to the top and it was the perfect weight for this very old quilt top. We decided to hang on the wall and not quilt the full size Texas Star quilt.

The velcro holds well to the other side that went onto a wooden bar.

I wanted to make DIY Fridge handle covers and wanted velcro straps. Looked for it online and walmart had the best price and variety. It was perfect for my project and I have washed the covers and the velcro are still good.

The price on this stuff is quite high, but but buying the big size is the most cost effective. I have never had a problem with the sticky tape not sticking to virtually anything as long as you give it a wipe with lock deicer on a rag.

There has been times when I decided I wanted to remove the velcro. but then decided to leave it there because it was stuck on. The actual velco is real good and lasts a long time of tearing it apart.

This velcro is really strong, exactly what you want for applications where strong forces occur. I used it to attach nets to soccer goals, thats the only method that works for a whole season and can be reused next season.

The good: Velcro’s Industrial Strength products have a strong hold that is great for many applications. I have used it for securing straps on a luggage cart, keeping a small audio mixer on a board with a power strip and, next will be using it to secure my guitar effects to a pedal board I am building.

The bad: Cutting the pruct can be difficult. Especially when making multiple cuts as the scissors will become “gummed up” rather quickly. Also, the adhesive on the back can take longer to cure than it states on the instructions.

With some surfaces it may seem that the adhesive does not want to bond at all but sometimes leaving it for an extended period will allow the glue to stick (it MAY help to put weight on the surface to keep the vecro where you want it during cure time.

It is the small issue with the glue that keeps me from giving the product 5 stars. In any case I highly recommend Industrial Strength Velcro.

Purchased this to hang small amount of fabric onto wood strip. Velcro tape adhered to the fabric well but fell off of the wood within days. The long strip is useful for cutting to size for your project, but the backing is VERY hard to peel off / separate.

The longest part of installation was trying to peel the backing. Would not recommend this product.

Because of the name “Velcro” I imagined this would be something similar to the Velcro pads that hold my sandals on. Not the case. Perhaps you noticed how little prominence is given to the length you get for your money? It’s one metre! It looks like two when you unpack it but you have to use the two varieties together so the effective length is 1 metre.

Yes it’s strong and reasonably easy to use (apart from the difficulty of getting the backing off) and a great solution for a certain category of tasks, but a very expensive one. Not an economical solution to keeping mats and rugs from tripping you up.

This is for weight-bearing tasks.

I bought this as I was making a pedal board for my guitar effects. The adhesive is brilliant and stuck easily to the bottom of my old pedals, which were a mixture of steel, painted steel and rubber. The board itself was an old wooden chopping board and again, no problems sticking the backing to that.

The grip is absolutely brilliant and takes some good effort to release the two sides. Very impressed and would highly recommend this stuff for similar projects.

When i purchased this, i had little to no hope that it would be fit for purpose. It was really just a trial to see if it would work. Turns out its actually an awesome product. The adhesive is super strong and has stuck to practically anything we have tried to attach it too.

The velcro it’s self is actually really impressive. We have used it to attach radios to vehicles, routers to walls and an assortment of things to drones. Would recommend.

Had hoped this would hold seat cushion cover on sofa together as zip was broken. It did not. Maybe sewn on velcro would have worked, but that would require sewing machine. In fact, I hand-stitched the cover with large loop stitches which can easily be cut and redone next time I remove cover for washing.

Maybe velcro ok for smaller items. Also disappointed that John Lewis would not open this 5m box to sell by metre, as the 10m box had only one metre left. I had to buy much more than I needed.

Used to secure a control box to a window. Much more secure and reliable than the suction cup system supplied with the control box. Also less obtrusive than the suction cup and much cheaper. Box states 300g per 20mm square not 500g although I wouldn’t be surprised if 500g was more accurate.

I purchased this last week for my campervan project. I found the product very simple to use. it came. well rolled up in a coil. But this soon extended to 2m when unraveled. I have used the product to secure the children to the back seat thus improving road safety and have found on checking the kids that they were exactly where I left them.

No dash to the counter when filling up. No switching seats. I’d suggest the product is suitable up to 6 years old. After that I believe they will be able to pull them selves free from the home made ( and of Course Halfords) restraints.

I make dresses for childrens dolls and I find the usual Velcro quite hard to sew by hand and quite scratchy ! Using this type of Velcro for the first time was a joy ! Much easier to sew and much softer for little fingers.

I wasnt sure exactly how this stuff was different, but took a chance on it and am really pleased. It has one line hook then loop then hook and so on, so it is used on both sides of material eliminating the need for a hook side and separate loop, brilliant idea and works very, very well.

I purchased this velcro to close some outdoor cushion covers. The color worked perfect and the velcro held well. Highly Recommend

This is my go-to for velcro products. I prefer the sew on velcro for my projects knowing it will hold fast.
