20 Best Velcro Hair Rollers (2022 Updated)

I would recommend these for people with short to medium hair. I have very long hair and when I wrapped my hair on these thin rollers my hair came out looking like an afro! No way to wrap looser (as advertised for softer larger curls) because end need to be wrapped tight to keep on curler and then the rest is spiraled down thin curler resulting in Shirley Temple ringlets that spring like a slinky toy.

My hair went from 20″ long to 6 inches long! If curlers were larger in diameter would be great as easy to sleep on and easy to curl.

Have long hair but want beautiful curls without heat. I have really long hair and super thick these work absolutely amazing. Plus I love to use mousse for my hair and it provides beautiful lasting curls 😍 Aussie Catch the Wave Hair Mousse + Leave-In Conditioner.

I already have another package of these curlers. These are a bit wider but that’s not a big deal. What makes me laugh is the same product, same package the new ones says “4 bonus curlers!!” Funny the exact same number of curlers were in my other package.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents as I just used the ones I have today, and am back looking for a second set. Yes, these are velcro rollers and you have to use a little care putting them in and taking them out.

The upside is they hold in place well, and the resulting curls are bump and distortion free. You do have to take care not to put too much hair on one roller–which is why I’m back for another set. Even though my hair is not very thick or long, one set is not sufficient.

But I love that you can “heat up” the metal core with either a curling iron or blow drier after the rollers are in, and that adds a little oomph to the result. I’m no hairdresser. But these work for me to get a nice, relaxed curl with little fuss or muss.

Ok look. I’m giving it 2 stars because I’m feeling generous and they are affordable. But, for me at least, these things don’t work. Straight up. I’ve tried them over and over and watched tutorials, tried different products, I really put more energy into these things than they’re worth.

They just don’t work. Maybe it’s because I have naturally curly hair and have to blow it out before putting these in. No clue. But. they don’t work. Sorry Conair. never again.

I love the self holding rollers right here, the Velcro style self grips so you don’t have to use any clips. They are so comfortable you don’t even know you have them in your head so they can be slept in.

Gives you gorgeous beautiful styles. Loads of volume with these rollers. Perfect for long to medium length hair.

Love the size. I use it to soften my hair and add bounce. I have thin curly frizzy hair, shoulder length. They are very big for me. Now looking back I could’ve bought the multi size pack for a steal.

The Velcro tends pull my hair from the roots so I don’t leave them on for long. It is not the same as using a heated straightener. The look is entirely different. But I still lose hair with this. Something to consider if your hair is thinning.

Overall it takes some time to learn the art of using it to your personal style and needs.

Personally I love these- yes the Velcro makes it a bit tough to take them out, the first few inches I just unroll them and then I’m able to slide them out. This is the only reason for 4 stars. Taking them out may be easier for people with finer hair.

Also, I have highlighted hair and am used to flyways and breakage, so that doesn’t really bother me, but I’m sure it could if you’re looking for ultra-smoothness. I love big, bouncy hair and that’s what I get with these.

My hair is just above my shoulders, so I use the small ones at my crown, mediums in the middle and biggest on bottom. When they come down, it’s all volume and bounce. The Velcro does work on its own in some places, in some places I use a clip.

Overall, they’ve given me great hair that I love and I’ll continue using them!! P. s. I bought 2 packs.

I was drawn to these because of their velcro properties with ceramic. However, if you have damaged or brittle hair, do not use these. The velcro is very strong and you really have to pull at your hair to remove them.

Removing them is like pulling cactus burs out of your wool hiking socks. I think they work for a good-looking blowout but I probably won’t use them every day. How do I use them? I use a tubular ceramic brush and divide my hair into a halo section.

I use the curlers on the front of my hair and on the top of my head. I blow dry my hair straight up and then apply the curlers to sit and cool with some hair spray.

I bought these rollers as I was looking for something to give me that trendy 90s blowout. The rollers are great quality and the size variety is excellent! I recommend if you have thick or long hair that you purchase two packets as one wouldn’t be enough for your whole head.

I blow dried my hair with a round brush, placed the rollers in my hair and waited 45 minutes. I was left with extreme voluminous, bouncy hair. The only reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 is that it is quite difficult to use at first and takes a while to get used to.

Overall a great product and excellent value.

Rollers look good in the pics. But they are very big for even my long hair (little less than waist length) and the Velcro doesn’t hold up the hair well. Perhaps my hair is too heavy, but I will not be buying this again.

Maybe this works better on shorter hair.

rollers are good. Very difficult to get them out of the flexible plastic container because the zipper only goes part of the way around.

The rollers are made from a velcro-like material so it sticks right to my hair, I don’t even need to use a clip. I love using these to make sure the front of my hair has a lot of volume and doesn’t look flat.

I was surprised by the quality, because they are sturdy and look long-lasting. Overall I’m happy with the results.

It comes with a come, i got the 31 count because i have a LOT of hair and i wanted to make sure i had plenty of rollers to do my whole head in one sitting.

ok. So I’d like to know what focus group decided the hook side of VELCRO belongs on hair curlers. No way. That was not a good idea. However, the velcro can be removed, which I did. So now they are basic curlers similar to what i remember back in the ’60s.

Just had to buy the large bobby pins to make them work. and i have a bunch of multi sized, multi colored hunks of velcro for which I must find a use. Hook side of velcro on a curler. sounds like something you would find at a gag shop.

I would recommend using this after you have fully blown dry your hair. The rollers let your hair in a slightly curled state to achieve the look of a blow out. For those with fine hair this could damage your hair and should not be used regularly.

For anyone with medium or course hair you shouldn’t run into any issues. I have very fine hair and use the rollers on my bangs daily, but not on the rest of my hair to prevent damage. This has been a game changer with my bangs!.

Not a bad experience with the curlers because I never had a chance to use them. When I was ready to use them and removed them from their plastic case, I found long black hairs wrapped around several of the rollers.

I understand having a relaxed return policy (which I will be using!), but something that is a “personal use” product should be carefully screened. I would even say perhaps you should not allow returns on such items in the future.

I can’t really wash or disinfect the rollers or I would.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I’ve never really used heatless rollers before, I’ve always used a curling iron. I had to stare at the instructions for a little bit because I wasn’t quite sure what to do.

There doesn’t seem to be any video tutorials either. Maybe because my hair is fine, the clips didn’t really stay in place while I was wrapping my hair around the roller. I think it would’ve been helpful to have another claw clip to hold the hair that you’ve already wrapped around.

It was a little interesting trying to hold the hair I had wrapped and trying to get another section in. I was able to do the left side okay but the right side was a bit of a struggle. I had to redo the right side but it still wasn’t looking as nice as the left.

I was quite surprised that my hair actually curled when I removed the roller, it was a nice soft wave. I think it will take a few tries to get the technique down but I’ll definitely be using this again.

They are also comfortable enough to sleep in and very easy to set up. I do not think it would work as well with long hair but i just cut mine so it worked great!.

I do not use this with wet hair, as I like to blow dry in the winter and haven’t had a chance to use them on my wet hair in the summer when I dry my hair less. What I do is I style my hair with some heat, and then I set my hair with these for as little as 20 mins to as long as 2 hours.

This keeps the volume and bounce way longer throughout the day than if I just styled it without these rollers. I love to use the bigger ones when I’m going for a straighter hair style to give my hair a ton of volume and some flip.

The smaller ones work great to lock in a curly hairdo.

Definitely works best with hair that is not too long. I can actually sleep with these left it but it did take a few times using them. Remove carefully or you can pull out your hair. Stayed in place well.

I ordered the large size Annie Snap on rollers. This is the kind I have used for many years. At one time I was able to purchase in person at at store but since they were not available I ordered online and was not disappointed.

These Annie snap on rollers were better than expected. The plastic was not flimsy but sturdy. The rollers curled my hair in 10 minutes. Love them!

Because the rollers themselves are completely smooth, they can’t hold the hair long enough to attach the cover – advertised as magnetic – but there is nothing magnetic about the plastic. The cover fits tightly – but by the time it is attached, hair has escaped.

If you’re looking for big curlers, this isn’t the product for you. The curlers are smaller and will produce very tight, vintage-looking curls. I have mid-back length hair and these curl my ends up to my collarbone.

I can’t figure out how they’re supposed to be pinned in, so I just put the pin onto the middle of the curler and it works just fine. They heat up in about 10 minutes and are pretty hot to the touch. They cool off quickly so by the time I finish my entire head I can wait about 5-10 minutes and all of the curlers are cooled.

I should’ve believed the reviews. And that the price was too good to be true! Returned and ordered Conair Infinity Pro hot rollers and they’re a much better value! The rollers stay in the hair due to being flocked and are much better quality! The Conair compact hot rollers are just plastic with no heated core – you get what you pay for! Might work for some gals, but not for this one!.

I had a Conair set for many years. They were metal rollers covered in plastic, so they stayed hot. You could interchange the rollers on any rod. These are all plastic, so they don’t retain heat, I’m disappointed in how cheaply made these are.

I would rather pay more and get a well made product. I will be returning them.

Great for medium-length hair. Grips well (the taking off can be tricky though but not impossible). There is definitely enough hair rollers to go around the head.

Having to turn my hand to hairdresser to help my 92year old mother in law who has been shielding since March & getting desperate for something to be done to her hair. Ive been just blowing drying up until now but not getting the body or style.

Just what I needed. Lockdown means my hair grew quite long and I now needed bigger rollers. These do a great job. Be careful unrolling, as they can pull out the hair if youre too rough.

I used these rollers with wet and dry hair and tried many ways but whenever it’s time to take the rollers out, I end pulling out like 10 strands! I rolled them out gently but it didn’t work so in the end I had to pull them out, hurt so much.

Never buying these again.

I didn’t expect much for the price, but I find these unusable. They are too “sticky” and I found they were very difficult and painful to remove, tangling and tearing the hair. They might work if you have very short hair.

Purchased for my mum who doesn’t go out any longer due to Covid, these worked really well. I’m not a hairdresser and her hair looked lovely.
