20 Best Verizon Dumb Phone (2022 Updated)

When I received the phone, I noticed that it was shipped in a sturdy generic box that included the 1500 ma battery and 120vac charger adapter. I charged the phone overnight, but the battery already had some charge on it.

I opened the back with a coin and noticed that there was a place for a SIM card and a micro SD card. I bought an 8 GB SD card at Walmart for $7. 88, and installed it. I also borrowed a Verizon SIM card from one of my wife’s old phone and plugged it in to the SIM card socket, but I found out later that you only need the SIM card if you need Global coverage.

If you only need continental coverage the SIM card is not needed. I found this out when I made the test call to Verizon by dialing #832. They said that the SIM card that I had installed was for 4G, and therefore not compatible with this 3G phone.

The Verizon Tech had me use another phone to call him, and he held on while I removed the SIM card and put the phone back together, so he could run another test. This time the phone was able to make and receive calls.

Overall I would have to say that this phone was easy to activate using the Verizon web site, and especially with the help of the Verizon Tech, during the “test” phase. The phone itself works great. I have used it for texts, camera mode, bluetooth mode, Yahoo email, and Facebook.

The only problem I’ve seen is that adding photos to your Facebook post is not supported, but that is no big deal. I can easily transfer my photos to my PC and add the photo that way. If this is a problem for you, then get a “smart” phone, but brace yourself for a big learning curve and a lot of perplexing problems.

I’m not going down that road. I have to listen to all of my wife’s complaints about her “smart” phone. The built-in web browser seems to work fine. The weatherBug works well. I have not tried the Navigation yet.

I am pleased with this phone. It works for me and I can do everything that I need to do. Good job, Kyocera.

I am sure the phone works fine. Unfortunately & I didn’t think about it, its not 4G compatible.

Bought this phone for hubby. He’s outside a lot on our 5+ acres and needed a rugged phone, this is the one! It is waterproof which he needs for irrigating and dustproof which is a great feature since we live in Idaho and the wind blows a lot!.

This little phone delivers on what is says! It’s super tough, great for those that want a feature phone instead of a smart phone and has a fairly good camera. I’ve owned mine for over 3 years or so now and it’s still going strong.

Super great battery life too. Performance This phone is tough enough to not fail you. As long as you have a decent cell carrier, you are good to go. I’ve had the phone out in super bad rainy weather and it still worked just fine, even with it soaked as bad as I was.

Voice Quality You never have an issue with this phone on voice. Even under super windy conditions, or being deep in a store or other building, this little phone works just fine. I have been in very loud back ground noise situations and people have no issues hearing me on this phone.

Battery Life This phone has the BEST battery life I have ever seen. I’ve had many cell phones over the years and this is the only one I can say I love, when it comes to battery life. Even though my phone is old now, that battery is still working really well.

I have literally talked for hours, sent tons of test messages and even the next day, it’s still has ample power left. Durability This is one tough phone. It was developed for military usage and I can see why.

No matter if you drop it tons of times, get it wet, are in a sand storm or what ever, this little phone still keeps working very well. Ease of Use This phone is so easy to use. You can set it to voice command or you can just use the menu.

It’s super easy to navigate. You don’t even need to read the manual to operate this phone. Set up is a breeze too. The phone literally walks you though set up! Design This phone is well designed. It’s meant to be tough and with the materials used to make it, it is tough.

The only thing I have had an issue with, is the camera has given me a bit of trouble after having the phone so many years. The keys are easy to use, no matter of your finger size, the features are easy to use, even logging onto the net is easy.

I had a Convoy 2. I went swimming with it 2 times. The first time was about 5 minutes. It did not affect the phone at all. Next it fell out of the holster and I ran over it with a full size farm tractor twice.

The only way we found it was to go the field and call the phone several times until we heard it ring. It was mashed into the dirt so we had to get close to hear it ring so I picked it up dusted it off and it worked perfect.

After that I was cutting a mans grass. I came home and the phone was missing again. My daughter went to that yard and called the phone many times but could not locate it. I went out to the zero turn mower and looked under the seat.

I did not see it first but then there was something on the deck under one of the pulleys. I picked it up and it was the phone. It had 2 groves cut in to it. One on each side. It had fell on to the deck and slid under 1 pulley and then was shot out to the other pulley.

It had a new face with the pulley marks cut into each side but it still worked like new. Next on the Sunday I took my son in law and his daughter to Chimney Rock on lake Martin in Alabama. It is a rock wall that goes up out of the water about 90 feet.

People climb out of the water and jump or dive off. The most popular place is about 30 feet. We did not want to climb the rock but his 8 year old wanted to swim. So I got in the water and swam with her.

After about 20 minutes I reached into my pocket and there was my phone. I gave it to my son in law. He took the battery out and laid it in the sun. When I got out of the water I looked at it and you could see water behind the screen.

When we got home we put it in a bowl of rice. I thought that was the end of that phone. I started looking for a new phone but the Convoy 2 had been replaced by the 3. About a week later at 5 o clock the alarm went off on the 2 in the rice.

I picked it up dialed my home phone. It worked fine. It lasted about another year before it died. I replaced it with the Convoy 3. To me there was no other choice.

My overall rating is the lowest of the individual ratings, which is why I rated a 3, otherwise it would be a 4. I owned a Convoy 2 for about two years and recently I “upgraded” to the Convoy 3. Personally I don’t know why they came out with a new model.

There are no significant improvements, but there is one minor disadvantage and one significant issue. This phone may cause problems for texters. see below. PROS: Call clarity, reception, durability, and the improvement of disabling the exterior buttons are all good things about this phone.

ON THE FENCE: All the buttons are slightly larger on the Convoy 3 than the Convoy 2, and the main navigation button is easier to use on the Convoy 3 (this was a big gripe of mine on the Convoy 2), but the downside is that the phone is larger.

I’d rather have smaller buttons and a smaller phone. This is the minor disadvantage. CONS: The font size used when composing texts is too small, and CANNOT be adjusted. This is a significant issue. Only the font size for reading existing texts can be changed.

For some people this makes the phone unuseable, while for some people it is simply a minor annoyance. This has been a known issue with this phone since it was released in 2013 based on my research. My Convoy 2 had larger default compose text size, which was OK.

If you plan on using your phone heavily for texts, this is probably going to be an issue for you, and I would look elsewhere. Was told Samsung would come out with a new firmware to fix this, but they didn’t have a timeframe as to when.

OTHER THOUGHTS: The only other thing that would have been nice is if it were water resistant. They claim “Mil Spec” for shock, temperature, dust, and humidity, but not water resistance. The failure of my Convoy 2 (which has the same claims as the Convoy 3) by a light splash of water confirmed this.

Prior convoy 2 customer. Really enjoyed the size, and clarity of the phones sound to my aging ears. Bought the iPhone 5S, used it for 7 months, and sold it because it was really a phone for those that like to play with it as a computer/toy, which I already had at home.

Decided to get the Convoy 3 this time around that was a tad larger, but had a 2. 5mm headphone jack, which is what I needed for longer talk, and not having to keep the flip one to my ears. The ringer was just as loud as the Convoy 2, which is what I really wanted for my aging ears.

All I needed was a nice rugged flip phone that was reliable for the long haul. Convoy 2 lasted 3 years for me, and now a back up for the Convoy 3. Only had this version a week now, but thus far I am pleased with it.

The Convoy 2 needed a small battery size business card placed on the battery, than close the back plate to keep a contact, so the phone would not go dead on me, that was the only issue I noticed for the Convoy 2.

This version has not displayed the same issue. I only use it as a phone, and the battery has lasted over 8 days for me, and still had some juice left over. To be honest, I only make a few calls per month.

Overall, very pleased thus far.

I wanted the most feature rich flip phone I could find, and this seemed to fit my requirements. Some of the important features do not work well. I wanted it to have a music player feature. This phone only plays the right channel of stereo music when playing thru the phone’s speaker.

The phone headphone jack plays both stereo channels. I wanted the Bluetooth feature. This phone has it, but after you disconnect bluetooth, it will not connect to the bluetooth device the next time you try.

You have to remove the phone battery and re-sync the bluetooth device every time. This is a giant pain. Returned two of these to the Verizon store and complained of the defect. Verizon tried their floor demo of the phone and the same issues occured.

This happened in two different Verizon stores. Verizon’s suggestion -“Why don’t you get a better phone”. There are serious software issues with the Convoy 3. I’ll be dumping it at my next available upgrade.

We’re not Smart phone users. Retired and on a budget. Bought this to replace the same phone that died in the washing machine. We have an old pre-paid minutes plan with Verizon, which is no longer available.

They couldn’t switch our old plan over to this new phone at the Verizon store. Then we called customer service. They finally agreed to switch so we could keep our pre-paid dollar amount, and keep on adding dollars to this phone.

But that is not their policy. They wanted us to upgrade to a newer, more expensive monthly plan. As for the phone, we really like the size of this phone. Hard to find a small, smooth, flip phone. Works fine for talking.

It’s an emergency phone. So we’re happy. (Texting is a pain. ) But when Verizon discontinues 3G service, this phone may no longer work. We’ve gotten conflicting replies about this from several different employees.

Great phone, just sorry that the pre-pay minutes plan is no longer available for new users. Their cheapest plan is $30 a month now. We average about $6 a month with our old plan (we don’t talk a lot).

That’s why they want to switch us over. Might have to switch to Tracfone when that finally happens.

I had one of these phones for years and it did everything I needed until my cat dropped it into his water bowl. Verizon refused to activate my new, replacement, Samsung Smooth phone. I presume that was because it’s a 2G model.

It’s electronic design is at least fifteen years old. I switched to Consumer Cellular (it’s cheaper), and bought one of their “Link” phones for $30 (new).

LG Exalt VN360 is just what I was looking for in a flip phone. When all you need to do is make a phone call, it has a big lighted keypad for adult fingers and older person vision. It is nice to have the front display for time and if you like to play music.

The speaker phone is loud enough especially for people like me who don’t like holding the phone on side of head. I have also used the blue tooth feature to upload my contacts from the other phone; it was a breeze.

The camera is quite good; I’ve used it outside and the pictures had good color and light. I also love the micro SD feature that I store extra music and pictures. If you have it in your plan, you can go online and handle your business; this is not a feature I use on the phone but still good to have.

It has a nice large display so you can see what you are doing. What else do you need? Nice phone in good size with big keypad is what I was looking for and I can put it in my small purse and go. It is quite shiny and slippery; dropped it several times before I got use to it but phone did find.

Unfortunately, I had to buy several different phones before I picked this one. I would highly recommend it to those who like flip phone style. I bought my husband one and like it so much; I got me one.

After considering several alternative models, I bought the Samsung Convoy 2 in July. I selected the phone because it was advertised as “built to strict military specs to resist almost anything you can throw at it – shock, extreme temperatures, dust, humidity and more.

” A little over a month after I bought it, I pulled it out of my pocket to discover that the outside screen was displaying a yellow-orange blob, making most of the display unreadable. Samsung customer support told me to send the phone in for warranty repair, which I did.

Two weeks later I received an email from Samsung customer support claiming the phone is “Out of Warranty” and I would need to pay Samsung three times what I paid for it to have the phone repaired. The Samsung customer service rep told me that the advertisement on samsung.

com was really a third party, and these claims they are making don’t apply to the whole phone, as the advertisement says. The warranty doesn’t cover anything that happens to the phone (anything you can throw at it – shock, extreme temperatures, dust, humidity and more).

In other words, even under normal usage, Samsung is unwilling to honor its one year warranty. Besides the poor reliability, it has some annoying design flaws. The phone doesn’t allow you to immediately lock the external keys automatically, so I’ve sent a few annoying pocket texts and have the phone continuously beeping in my pocket because they don’t lock out right away.

The texting is kind of jumpy – the response time for hitting some keys is slower than for others keys. Mildly annoying. The calendar erase functions are poorly designed such that you don’t know if you are erasing all the events on a particular day or for all days.

I accidentally blew away all my appointments because of this design flaw. There are better choices out there. Avoid this phone.

What is said about this phone is that it gets hot when running video. Thats true. Too hot for me. Heat is damaging to electronics so the cooler your phone operates the better. It would be an ok phone if not for the heat problem.

The processor just has to work too hard to keep up with today’s 2021 work load. I wanted to just turn off most functions so it would not have to work so hard but had no luck. Love the security, encryption keys in the processor Dtek is great.

Get the new blackberry if it ever gets done by onward mobility. I hope they are successful since it is already late. Processor chip shortage is perhaps why the new blackberry is late or on hold for now.

Keyboard was not up to Blackberry standards. Proprietary software doesn’t support SMS messaging and hands you off to Google’s solution – this is a fundamental failure. Touchscreen is twitchy and calls constantly get muted if your face touches the screen.

Phone is unnecessarily thin and its hard to hold onto. Side button placement is terrible and makes NO sense at all.

Ive seen reviews that were mediocre about this phone but being a former owner of Samsung Galaxies (over rated), Kyocera Dura force pro (many issues) and a couple other brands that just didnt thrill me or hold up, this one finally made me happy.

I try not to abuse my phones but daily life gets to them sometimes. This phone has now been dropped a few times not onto soft surfaces, it has gotten mildly wet (tho not rated for) and it has been crammed full of apps.

So far it works perfectly. The camera is much better than the other brands i mentioned and a few more. The screen isnt the best ive seen but better than many. Colors are vivid and not over saturated and it does a well enough with the camera to scan pages with small print and convert them to pdf with the text still clear.

The phone has a pretty decent launcher and all the benefits of blackberry and Android without any issues. No excessive lags even with several programs running background. The battery is reasonable. can last me the entire day with moderate use, beyond a full day just using the phone for calls and texts and several hours when running all kinds of apps.

It also charges fast. from dead to full charge in 1. 5 hrs. 60% in half an hour. The sound quality is very loud and clear listening thru built in speakers and actually has noticibly better sound than my Sony xperia when using the headphone jack.

Phone has OTG connection thru USB and it actually works unlike other brands. It is compatible with several adapters and all worked well with HDMI, SD card and mouse and it powers all items by phone. The slide assy works well and doesnt feel like it will have issues down the line.

SD card and SIM card spots are nice to have on top without having a case to open. Overall, I highly doubt anyone who buys this phone will complain. For the price its available for now, you just cant beat it.

This phone can handle just about anything you can expect from a smart phone.

At 75 years old, I got tired of all the activity and choices on a galaxy phone. There okay if that is what you want or need. It was frustrating having to plug in the phone once or twice a day due to low battery life.

I want to make & receive calls, text, get some media benefits and have a “smaller” phone to carry on me. The Samsung Convoy military phone is perfect for this application. I go 4 to 5 days before I have to plug in this phone.

Great battery life, rugged and great reception. I would recommend this phone to anyone frustrated with all the new phones that take so much time and knowledge to truly understand all the potential benefits it offers.

Also, I cut my phone bill from $130 a month to $55 !! Now that is a great savings. It is too easy to get caught up in the high cost of an electronic age and so many things you really do not need. Just my opinion.

I tend to keep my phones a long time. The phone I’m retiring is a 3G phone that I’ve had for eight years. So this is really my first smart phone. To tell the truth, I chose this phone because it has a user-replaceable battery.

Practically speaking, that’s a must if you plan to keep a phone for a while. That said, I have been pleasantly surprised by a lot of things. Three things stand out. First, the quality of the sound for phone calls is excellent, almost land-line-like ,and much better than my prior 3G phone.

Second, the screen is easily readable. I don’t stream video over my phone, but I do read a lot of text, and the text is very crisp. No eyestrain. Third, its small enough to fit reasonably well in my front pants pocket, and with the addition of an elastic credit-card holder stuck to the back, it replaces my wallet.

So I can do everyday carry with minimal hassle. The things I dislike about the phone are mostly generic issues with Google and Android. Moving from a “passive” 3G device to this Android device, I found the constant stream of reminders, hints, messages, and more-or-less outright coercion to be extremely annoying.

As in, please just get out of my face and let me use my phone. That was new to me, but I now understand that’s normal for Google and Android. So everybody does what I had to do, which is to take the first day with the phone just turning crap off.

I use it a lot for casual net surfing, connected to my home router. I have had zero problems so far, other than the intrusiveness of the Chrome browser. Which again, is Google, not the phone. I’ve since switched browsers.

The only slight hardware issue that I have noticed is that it’s slow to find bluetooth objects to connect to. I haven’t had a failure there, it’s just a little slow. But it does (e. g. ) work perfectly well when paired to a bluetooth keyboard.

All in all, I’m not a power user, but I think this is a great phone. A great bargain. And so for the Tracfone service on it has been flawless.

TracFone notified me that the phone I purchased in 2014 was becoming obsolete and would not work with all the technology available now. I picked this smart phone to take its place and so far I like it.

I don’t understand all the information given to set programs up or take programs off, but I won’t give up trying. The only request I have is that when I purchased Moto e6 I also purchased a $20 plan for unlimited text, voice, and something else.

TracFone helped me activate the new phone and transferred minutes and service days. What do I do with the $20 plan I purchased? I don’t want to just lose that $20 paid for the plan. Your comments would be appreciated.

I just went from an unlocked E4 to a Tracfone E6. It’s a little bit thinner and taller so none of my E4 accessories work : case, extra screen protectors, recently purchased new battery. From a performance / function perspective, and based on my very basic usage scenario of calls, google maps, solitaire and sudoku, I see little to no difference between the two models.

If there were a version that was the same form factor of a prior model phone, I would have bought that instead. Hopefully there will be an E6v2 so we, as a society, don’t fill up the landfills with perfectly good accessories.

Too, if there were a more stable form factor, you might start seeing more than just iPhone and Samsung accessories being carried by most brick retail. So. on the plus side, Moto has earned zero brand loyalty to limit my selection of the next phone that I choose.

I love my Pantech Caper! Voice clarity is great. Texting is a breeze with the keyboard. Nice camera. Too many great features to list. I’ve owned one for years and I’m still discovering helpful features.

Verizon is even reducing the use charges effective Feb. 29th making it an even bigger bargain! I ran over my last one with my truck and wouldn’t have anything else but another Caper to replace it. Verizon was very helpful with the user transfer.

I had this phone several years ago when I was in high school and I loved it. I loved having the keyboard and how compact it was. Had a good camera and decent storage. Was super easy to use and was a great price.

If they still make them I’d recommend it.

This phone is great for my husband who has a job in fabrication(bending metal. ) It’s very sturdy and he’s able to keep it in his pocket while he works without worrying so much about the screen getting busted.

He can also be heard in the loud environment. It has WiFi capability,so it will operate when 3G service shuts down. A very good,simple phone. There aren’t alot of aggravating apps for someone just wanting a phone to make calls and send texts.

It came with a SIM card,so the activation process,and adding it to our existing account,was easy while talking to the verizon rep. One thing that had to be changed though, was the phone came default with T9 texting,which was awful.

I had to go to the settings and change it to the “Abc” multi-tap texting. Haven’t been using it very long,but so far,so good. Hopefully it’ll last some years like his old 3G Samsung Convoy 3 did. If you’re looking for a hardy replacement “dumb phone” and don’t care about social media,this phone is a good choice.

Ideal phone for the no-frills utilitarian minded individual. Personally I picked this phone because of the indestructibility, very long battery life, and element exposure resistance. I bought this with rural dirtbiking and motorcycling in mind.

I needed a phone that could go for very long on a charge, survive a motorcycle accident, and be compatible with many bands for international travel. I would not describe the form factor as ‘small’ but comparable with the average smart phone.

What it lacks in length and width, it makes up for in thickness. I did not have any issue activating this phone with my carrier (verizon; requires the verizon version of the xp5 however). The minimal android OS is good but heavy on the contextual menu options.

It will take learning to know the phone. Some functions were even undocumented in the Sonim manual (such as setting speeddial entrys). My advice is just go through the phone and get familiar with the contextual options available on every menu.

The predictive text entry is unobtrusive and helpful, but won’t be as fast as a true qwerty entry method. The micro sd card slot behind the battery is a plus and can reportedly handle up to another 64 gb of memory.

Coming from an old flip phone, the voice quality is astounding. True HD voice if I’ve ever heard it. This phone also comes with 4 year manufacturer warranty covering all damage, no matter the cause. Register it with Sonim as soon as you get it.

I have not used the PTT function yet, so I cannot comment on that. This phone’s app availability is non-existent. You’re not really going to get any more programs on the phone than what is loaded onto it at the factory.

It would be nice to get simple apps like weather, traffic, news, etc. But if you can do without those, you’ll do well with the xp5.

You can’t get better for seriousness if your looking for a simple strong phone that doesn’t feel like it will break out of the box. This phone superseded my expectations, from its exceptional styling, easy to use keypad, long battery life.

Going on 70 hours, near 3 days of heavy use learning its functions and the battery level is at 74%. Amazing. The phone plugs into my computer with ease and works like any drive, no hassles! No silly software needed to transfer files.

Just file folders that are easily accessible to transfer music, photo’s, videos. Accesses WiFi routers and cruise the internet with ease, fluently. The speakers are amazing, no cheap mouse like sound.

The speakers are bold with base and people, music or video sound as if the actual person is standing right in front of you. The FM radio music station option requires earphones to be plugged in to activate, however you can switch to normal speakers and listen to the phone 100 feet away with perfect clarity.

The radio reads the station ID and songs playing across the screen too. The torch/light is near twice as bright as the light on my son’s iPhone and my other sons Samsung Galaxy 6. No this isn’t a smart phone that plays games or any real fancy things.

But for the individual who wants a super quality camera/camcorderwith flash and up to 4x zoom, calculator, calendar, radio, basic net access for email/facebook, super battery, this phone can’t be beat in the basic model class.

I wear heavy leather work gloves and can manipulate the keypad without fail. It’s a piece of mind to know this phone would survive a two story drop to the pavement if it slipped from my pocket, or got left out in the rain overnight.

I can take this phone into the harshest environments for weeks without a charge. It’s durable and will outlast any other phone out there. This phones designed for rugged use and simple, yet basic necessities.

It is not a phone you will walk around all day with your face glued too.

My cell phone “baselines” included a Moto W377G “flip phone” (more recent) and a Nokia 1650 (previous), both from Net10. My usage had been for voice only then increasingly voice & text the past two years.

I have no interest the Internet & email access features of cell phones. I had discovered that Net10 had become expensive compared to other ‘pay-as-you-go’ providers, esp after a friend recommended PagePlus Cellular.

I wanted a phone that featured a keyboard for testing (I’m all thumbs with a regular keypad). After finding the LG Cosmos on EBay from Mobile Karma (recommend them highly as a seller with excellent prices, fast service and products better than advertized), I researched user opinion on which I based my purchase.

have found to suit my needs extremely well and have been very happy with my purchase. Battery life could be longer but have found that is in large part due to how far one is from a provider tower and therefore the amount of RF power the phone uses during idle for it’s “I am here” hand shake with the tower.

Otherwise all features work exactly as advertized. Purchased DataPilot V7. 0 separately to manage my “address book”, photos, ring tones, etc. at which it does a good job. All in all if you are looking for a phone to be used as a telephone (imagine that!) and a texting device, this phone does the job very well.

The camera works about as good as any other camera on a cell phone, I guess, for those quick snaps that you want to send to someone on the fly (else, I use my 8Megapixel SLR for serious work). But, if you want a cell phone that has “talking on a phone” as an after thought feature, then this phone is not for you and you will likely be much better off with a Droid or iPhone.

While the internal keyboard and small screen take some getting used to this is a functional and reliable device. It has proven to be an excellent alternative to my smart phone–which still can be used on Wi-Fi for internet access.

The great advantage to this device is that I was able to reduce my monthly service cost significantly and still maintain my phone and text capabilities on a reliable network. I am very pleased with this device.

For those needing a larger keyboard and larger screen I would suggest the octane by LG. I would have purchased it but the cosmos 2 was more within my price range.

I already have a smartphone from my office so all I wanted to do was replace my simple Verizon flip phone. Also I was not going to pay an extra 30. 00 a month for data service when I do not need it. I could not find anything in the stores that was similar to my old phone, and had the features I like so I went to the place where you can find just about anything, EBay.

This phone is a perfectly good phone and I am happy with it. Another great thing about this phone (and any basic phone for that matter) that I cannot say about my smartphone is that it can hold a charge for 3 days or more depending on use.

My only complaint is that because the keys are not flat, it is not as easy to text on as my old phone. Other than that, I would recommend this phone.

I purchased this phone during cyber week for my 11yr old daughter. I was so happy with the phone I purchased myself one in early January and it still runs great dispite many reviews that said the phone wouldn’t last more than a month.

I’ve dropped this phone so many times and surprisingly no cracks or breaks (without a case) the volume was much better than expected. I have not activated either phone so, I can’t comment on the service but for WiFi only it’s the perfect fit for someone on a tight budget.

One of the major cons is lack of internal memory however, the great keyboard and everything you need I. e. calender calculator notepad amazing music player ect. is already on the phone. I have fb, fb messanger, whisper, world chef(I play for hours no problems) spades and a couple other apps installed.

This is an amazing phone for the price I paid, this phone exceeded my expectations and would definitely recommend for WiFi use!.

Never buy this phone(LG Optimus Exceed 2). This appears wonderful on first look with features this have and cheap price. But this can turn into nightmare on any day!!! Guess WHAT!!! You put basic pattern lock as basic security.

And one fine day your kid plays with phone and put wrong pattern 10 times. That All. Phone will reset automatically and ask you for activation!!!. All your valuable data lost. Data you saved for multi year lost including data on sd card !!!!! Its life threatening.

I was late to know that and lost my data. Now, I thrown this device away. Who given right to LG to erase all data? Why option not given to disable this feature? Customer support is helpless, They can’t do anything.

Frustrating.

Eh, this phone is OK, but it is slow as all h***. I used it as a replacement before my Galaxy note arrived. For the first few weeks (I had to wait 3 weeks for backorder on my phone) the phone ran fine, but the last week, it was extremely laggy, the screen would select things on it’s own, etc.

This phone works, but it isn’t meant for a heavier user such as myself. I use my phone all day for things such as EBAY and Instagram, email sync etc, and the battery held great. However a lot of the functions took awhile.

Answering messages (texting) lagged on the onscreen keyboard but worked fine on the keyboard itself. The phone itself works good as a phone, good quality sound from speaker etc. As a music player, without headphones this thing is just godawful.

The sound quality sounds like the Samsung Juke, which by the way was also a bad phone, good as a phone and for texting, horrible itself for music. The physical keyboard itself works good, but trying to use the touchscreen keyboard itself, it just SUCKS! The keys are not that small, but the screen is off of calibration severely.

Not even accurate one bit. Proximity sensor even delays. I thought that the Citrus was bad in this regaurd, this takes horrible touchscreen to a whole new level. Overall, this may work for the “new to android interface user” & its a good backup for if i ever need to send my phone somewhere for a repair, but nothing daily for me.

The front end is plastic and isn’t easily scratched, feels like glass, and won’t crack when you throw it in frustration lol. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

Phone is not reliable, this is the second one I have purchased because the old one puked (out of warranty of course. )I thought it was the battery purchased that first, then realized it was phone and since I now own 2 batteries for it, purchased phone again to fulfill balance of 6 months on contract.

Sucks battery life, no memory. Dont buy, on happy note seller was awesome and will purchase from them again. Update 2-11-13 Second phone puked too. 30 days from purchase. LG screen constantly flickers but will not turn on.

There is definitely something wrong with this phone. Shame on me for purchasing 2nd one. Did discover battery fits into Lg Lucid, daughter & bf have that phone, no problems. Will probably purchase Lucid although leary of LG products now.

Before I bought this phone I went on youtube and there were some bad review about it’s battery life. I only use my phone for text(barely because I hate texting)and phone calls. I don’t search the web at all.

I let that wait until I get home and use my computer. I charge my phone and it lasts for days before I can think of charging it again. Maybe those that complain about battery life are always glued to their phone.

The phone is perfect.

Pros: the phone is awesome. I’m very pleased after a week. It’s big, sturdy, and easy to use. It has all the great “Moto” features, lots of speaker volume, and a huge 3289 mAh battery. Plus, it has the TurboCharge technology, which means if you have a compatible charger you can charge the phone in an hour instead of days.

It’s also sturdy. The extra-large screen on the Droid edition is shatterproof, and the aluminum frame protects it. I read a review where the reviewer dropped the phone from the 2nd floor onto marble and it only scuffed the frame.

no damage. It has a “mod” system which lets you buy a video projector, a loudspeaker, and a battery pack. The “mod” system works. I bought the wireless charger/battery mod for the phone and it almost doubles the battery life and lets it charge from a wireless charger.

It also protects the back of the phone. it just clicks in place and is held there by strong magnets. I’ve only had this phone for a week, but I’ve been getting days of use out of a single charge. I don’t think I’ll buy a protective case for it because it’s so sturdy.

I may buy a screen protector just to keep from scratching the screen, though. Great phone. Cons: the screen is reported to be easy to scratch, and the phone may be too big for smaller hands. It fits me perfectly, though, and I love the size of the screen.

I have been a devoted Motroloa phone user all the way back since the RAZR days. I’ve had the Droid, Droid 2, Droid Turbo, so it was only natural to go with the Droid Moto Z Force. The phone is plenty big enough, has a solid screen, has the ability to have a lot of addons (moto mods), has a decent battery (which is one the main reasons I’ve stuck with the Droid line), and has decent specs.

However, I only had it for about a month and a half before things started malfunctioning. The phone started not properly recognizing whether the charger was plugged in or not. Not sure if it was a result of software or hardware issues, or both.

It caused the phone to get very hot and burn through battery life and caused me to not be able to charge the phone properly. I thought it was the Turbo Charger but after buying a new one I realized it wasn’t.

Fortunately, I was able to do a cache clean in recovery mode and then went into Safe Mode and removed some recently installed apps and it seemed to resolve the charging/battery issue. Fast forward another month or so and one night the phone was plugged into the charger and Spotify was playing on it, and all of a sudden the display turned all green and noisy.

It got super hot and then I lost the screen all together, although I could tell it was still responding to me touching it. I managed to do a factory reset, but even after doing that, the Wifi stopped responding and the cellular service stopped working as well.

I had to send the phone to Motorola, thankfully it was still under warranty. I’m not sure what the issue is yet, but it was a short lived time I had with the original phone.

The Moto Z Force has standard Android with only Minor manufacturer bloatware. The Moto package, however, does include some accessibility options that are great. It feels solid. The screen is good and the battery life is good.

With the optional Moto pack that enables wireless charging, battery life is excellent and there is wireless charging. It bugs me that you have to buy a Moto Mod to get wireless charging, but that is atradeoff I was willing to make.

Only con, other than that, that I have found so far is that it does not have a AUX jack and the only connection port is a USB type C port so you have to use a USB c to 1/4″ adapter. But my car stereo doesn’t have an AUX jack.

It has 2 USB inputs, but playback wont work with the USB C connection. So, I have to use BT. Bandwidth on BT is, by it’s nature, limited so the sound is inherently not as good. Overall, it is an excellent phone.

While technologically outdated, this is a durable, convenient device. This is my second one. I carried, and used, one of these for approximately 7 years. It withstood the rigors of everyday use but finally age and normal wear made replacement appropriate.

Be advised, however, that apparently some so-called technicians, at Verizon, are not familiar with a phone like this. The one I dealt with, go get the phone activated, was unable to install my contacts, and other files from my old phone.

I was able to move my contacts, however, by backing them up (from the old phone) then downloading them into the new one.

I did not need a phone that would withstand water, dust and dirt, but thought it could not hurt to have these features in a phone, just is case. It only lasted 4 months! It was sold as new, but either was refurbished or just a piece of garbage.

First dust collected under the face plate so bad that I could not see who was calling. Then it would not charge. I tried other chargers, bit it is in the phone itself. Outdated and would not recommend that anyone waste their money on this.

Even if it was old new stock, it should have lasted longer than it did and I am out over fifty bucks!.
