I’m not a big vermouth drinker. I say that as someone who’s ever properly drunk it, I haven’t, this was a first for me. I tried absinthe once, but mostly under peer pressure but didn’t want more in age that dreaded green fairy would appear (hallucinations were always linked to it, not that I experienced it).

Instead I opted for lemonade, a dash of orange cordial, ice cubes, and slices of orange & lemon. It gave a nice twist to the subtle notes of orange and caramel. Being so dark in colour, it looks like a scary looking Ribena, but once mixed, it makes for a good summer cooler, not that the weather has been nice enough for that in this U.

This drink is delicious- refreshing, sweet but crisp, and full of flavour. It is perfect with tonic and ice. Martini Rosso is the perfect summer drink and we have enjoyed it at many barbeques this summer with friends and family, it is an all-around favourite for us all now.

This bottle was my first time drinking Martini Rosso, I usually drink gin and tonics, lager or Aperol spritz, so it was great to discover new that I enjoy. I recommend trying it! I also love how versatile it is- there are so many cocktail recipes you can try out with it.

This is such a popular refreshing drink. It has been one of our favourites for years and we always try to have a bottle in our drinks cabinet. It is especially delicious mixed with a tonic water or lemonade and garnished with a lime or orange.

The flavour is full and just the correct sweetness. Great to drink in these hot sunny days as it is so refreshing, I often think of it as a social drink when I have guests come to the house. The bottle is also unique and looks great displayed.

As usual this is a product review. Service, as ever from Amazon, was brilliant it arrived quickly and well packaged. Now. The drink. This is the first time Ive tasted Dubonnet. You remember the smell of the carpets in clubs when you were in your late teens early twenties Those cheese nights when they played Dont Stop Me Now, MC Hammer and something by 5ive Im talking about the clubs that had a floor that was tacky underfoot and you couldnt place the smell was it snakebite or redbull WKD or Hooch Was it just stale vomit Thats what Dubonnet tastes like it tastes like that smell.

While youre drinking it, it feels like an embarrassed, nostalgic teenage hangover in your mouth. There is no redeeming feature. Its cheap and nasty. Its dated. And the Queen Mother drank this Its just another nail in the coffin of that familys honour.

Charles is an adulterer, Andys a paedo, and they all drink Dubonnet. Once youve tasted it, youll see it all kind of fits.

I really like Dubonnet. I usually have it before bed on the rocks with half a lemon slice. I think it’s better as a digestif after eating. It’s good with tonic too.

I was served a Bombay Sapphire martini at The Vault in Sedona this weekend. It was so excellent and delicious, I asked what vermouth was used. Obviously, it was this. For those one-star reviewers, all I can say is you can’t claim to be having a martini if you are using vodka.

This is one of the original dry vermouths from Italy and it does not disappoint. Vermouths are very individual, but I found this nicely dry and perfect for mixed drinks. I like the Italian dry as I find the French a bit sweeter.

Too bitter for my taste, but it is high quality and would fit well in any top shelf bar. Provided you tolerate the bitterness more than I did. I still prefer Vya for a very similar flavor that is less bitter.

I had been using this vermouth for Manhattans up ’till recently, as I had not experimented with other vermouths. Now that I have spent a bit more money on a finer spirit (Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth) the realization that cheaping out on this brand has been unwise.

The flavor of this vermouth is flat and undemensional when compared to a finer example of this spirit. Recommend spending a bit more money and using a much more flavorful and rounded vermouth.

It’s definitely NOT the best choice if you’re looking to use it as a mixer. Not good for Manhattans or Negronis. It’s very similar to a Dubonnet Rouge. It’s probably at it’s best served alone over ice.

Doesn’t offer the complexity or bitterness necessary to mix well with spirits like bourbon or gin. “Sickly and thinly sweet” is my impression. Same as I get with Dolin.

I have traveled to many places in the world and am so impressed with my first experience with Noilly Pratt. I was pleasantly surprised at the nose of herbs and sweet notes of my first sip. Not a hint of bitterness.

I commented to my husband that in all of my years I will accept nothing less than Noilly Pratt from now on. Bravo!.

Bought this for the price-i thought it was mislabeled it was so inexpensive-but it made the world of difference in my Manhattan. I wasn’t the only one who noticed.

Disclaimer: This is the vermouth I typically purchase. With that said, I don’t think it’s the absolute best vermouth, but if you’re on a budget, you can’t beat this price for the good quality it is. There is a bit sweeter of a bite than say Martini Vermouth, so proportion your drinks accordingly.

Adds great flavor in bourbon manhattans. I grew up with wines from western NY. Am delighted to find the this products comes from Fredonia, NY and has the taste of NYState grapes.

For the price point, Cinzano really can’t be beat. I mean, Martini & Rossi may have it on the dollars and cents, but I always found the M&R to be thin and watery. The Cinzano has better flavor and texture.

Just the right amount of herbs (less oregano than M&R), citrus, and balanced, dark sweetness. It holds its own in a classic cocktail like the Manhattan or Martinez, but doesn’t overpower in something like a Negroni like a Carpano Antica might.

Yeah, you have to get a 750 mL bottle, but a simple a vermouth & tonic or Americano (1 oz Campari, 1 oz sweet vermouth, soda) can help you work through it with pleasure. Highly recommended.

This has a very strong tarragon flavor which is a little weird, some may find off-putting, but it is actually pretty decent quality in taste, a little bit better than that, good, which is surprising for something so cheap.

It tastes as good quality as other vermouths that cost $20 a bottle. It tastes like a decent vermouth that is made in Italy, not a cheap knock-off. I would say that this is a great value.

This was my favourite drink many years ago. I remember being around 19 yrs, I thought it was the bees knees. A classy drink with a great taste during the good old 90’s. I used to buy it at christmas for a treat.

I would always mix it with lemonade and of course, not forgetting a straw with some ice. A refreshing drink!!.

Dolin’s Dry Vermouth has been my favorite for decades, primarily in martinis, but also I’ll admit that I can be a bit of a martini snob. For me, it’s all about the quality of the ingredients. I prefer a classic London Dry Gin over any of the cloying botanical-bombs, and a quality dry French vermouth vs.

any of of the Italian labels, which I find a touch too bitter, often with a funky, spoiled aftertaste. For only a couple bucks more than the other labels, it brings a wealth of freshness to the glass unavailable from the other brands.

I bought this to experiment with a lighter version of a Negroni. I use this together with a citrusy gin (Dorothy Parker) and Aperol. The Blanc heightens the orange flavor in the cocktail. It’s also great on its own – use a single large ice cube and an orange slice.

glad to see Total Wine keeps us in stock because it was a bit tough to get. how to make this French Martini: (this recipe makes two adult sized drinks) load up your shaker with fresh ice 2 oz of this Dolin Blanc add a long thin piece of fresh cut lemon rind shake the heck out of it for 15 seconds now add 9 oz Citadelle Gin stir with a big bar spoon for 30 seconds strain into the Martini delivery system glassware of your choice put three Merzetta queen olives on a stainless cocktail pick and place in each glass enjoy in moderation.

perhaps someone can come up with a better name for this than “French Martini” The Dolin Blanc is ever so slightly sweeter than the Dolin Extra Dry and it goes very very well with the criminally underrated Citadelle Gin.

Obviously you can vary the amounts to taste.

The other reviewer complained this was too sweet for their martini. No kidding. It’s not for martinis. Stop buying half sweet vermouth for dry drinks. This blanco vermouth is a perfect middle between antica sweet and dolin dry (my other recommended vermouths).

I’ve never been a “wine snob”, but have had a lot of experience with vermouths, both domestic and from Europe. I use both dry and sweet vermouth, and enjoy martinis, Manhattans, and rob-roys. I also like the “perfect” Manhattans and Rob-roys made with both sweet and dry vermouth.

I think Tribuno makes a very good product in both sweet and dry versions, and it compares most favorably with much more expensive products. I definitely recommend this vermouth.

i got this because i thought it would be fun to do a blind taste test with a new bottle of a dolin, a bottle of Dolin I had opened about a month ago and forgot about, and a cheaper bottle. I figured I would use the rest of the bottle for cooking.

It was so unappealing i didn’t even want to use it for that. Needless to say we were able to pick it out from the bottle of Dolin.

Bought this on a whim when I ran out of Dolin. It was ok for a regular martini where the gin would mask it, but not so with vodka.

I’ve always enjoyed a good up martini, blue cheese olives. Dry. Dry because I didn’t care for the taste of the average vermouth. Then I tried this. I had my friends try it straight, one thought I had given her ice wine.

Now if I spill a little extra in a martini, it’s good. Wish I had known about Noilly Prat earlier.

Excellent Vermouth. So glad the Italians took over this company. Delivery was ontime as promised. Only problem was ordering on line was very difficult. I finally had to call their customer service for help and they placed the order for me.

It would be great if they could fix their website so ordering could be done without having to make a phone call.

I think Noilly Prat Vermouth is the best out there. Very herbal. Makes great martinis! Hard to find in my area though. So glad Market View carries it.

After years of making my Saturday martini with own brand supermarket vermouth I decided to try this. What a difference: smooth, silky and almost dry sherry flavours. I am finally drinking proper martiini, although I do like it shaken!.

Noilly Prat is one of the best vermouth around. Love it, fabulous in a Vodka Martini with Grey Goose for a sophisticated drink. Also great in cooking. It is a dry vermouth. Love it Great fast delivery from this company.

Vermouth last about 30 days in the refrigerator after opening, and most vermouth is used in cocktails, in amounts of 10-30 ml per cocktail. So most people using vermouth at home will never get through a 750 ml bottle before it goes bad.

Most people won’t even get through a 325 ml bottle, but they won’t feel as bad pouring out 2/3 of a 325 ml bottle as they would pouring out 5/6 of a 750 ml bottle. M&R has 325 ml bottles of sweet and dry vermouth, and they should dobthe same for bianco.

Then more people would drink El Presidents cocktails and other drinks that call for a blanc/blanco/bianco vermouth.

My wife and I like this drink very much, but it seems to have been withdrawn from most companies/ supermarkets. So you can imagine how delighted we were when we saw that you could supply this aperitif

I love the test so much and it returns me to many years back on Christmas day in Baghdad.

We were at Hawks Restaurant in Granite Bay and ordered a Vesper martini. Mark was the mixologist that evening and made a Vesper using Cocchi Amerericana which was excellent. When asked why he used Cocchi in the cocktail he gave us a great history and story about the original drink and why he picked the ingredients for the drink.

Try the Vesper at Hawks or at home. Total Wine was the only place I could find Cocchi.

Cocchi is intensely floral with a bitter quinine backbone. Rather than harmonizing (if that’s possible), these two qualities fight it out in front of a sickly sweet backdrop. Not for me. My martinis rely on Noilly Pratt be they Vesper/Bunuel (50/50 gin/vodka, rinsed cubes, dash of Angostora) or standard (5:1 gin, dash of Fee’s Orange ).

Cocchi works best for me on the rocks or, oddly, 50/50 with gin as the bottle suggests.

Okay, I’ve enjoyed the Rosa and loved the di Torino, so I finally decided to try the original, the Americano. Oh, it is delightful. Complex and delicious on the rocks, with sparkling water, or with prosecco.

I look forward to many more spritzes and cocktails.

I have tried other sweet vermouth and hated them. I had generally substituted dry vermouth since I didn’t like the sweet versions. A friend suggesed I try a “good” sweet vermouth. While I had purchased more premium base liquors (gin, whiskey, etc) I had not bothered with premium additions.

My mistake! This is well worth the extra money. If you are not buying bottom shelf bottles, don’t buy bottom shelf vermouth!.
