20 Best Vest For Men (2022 Updated)

I bought this for my boyfriend and he loves it. Ordered Large initially but ended up with Medium that fits him better. He’s a petite guy with a belly and the large was too wide in the shoulders. It does not have a lot of stretch to it but it looks best when fitted imo.

Vest is well constructed with solid fabric and stitching. Material is repellant of stains (+ I got black). I had a custom embroidered patch made and ironed it onto the back and it looks great, especially on the black material.

Highly recommend this as a warmth layer with great pocketing. Personally, I hope to never see him wearing the hood (ha ha), but it adds nice texture on back of the vest. Sportsman pricing beat competitors!.

Just received the Rainier Vest. Wore it on 60 degree day with moderate breeze. Had a thermal LS shirt, and a warm wind resistant pullover, and used the vest over the top of everything. Worked great, but as temps warmed up, I had to start discarding clothes.

Ended up with the vest over my thermal top, and it was warm enough. Like the product. It is very lightweight and warm, but it would not be appropriate for colder days under 50 degrees without other cold weather protection.

I received my vest about three weeks after I ordered it. The vest was very good quality as most of Cutter Bucks clothing is. I would have given this item four stars but there was a large decrepency in the sizing of my vest.

I normally wear a size 2xl vest and currently have a large assortment of vests from different manufacturers including Cutter Buck. The quality and styling was very good but the sizing was more like a 4xl.

While expressing our pride for our daughters university, my wife and I will stay comfortable at outdoor sporting events in our Cutter & Buck Rainer vests. Top quality that we will enjoy for years to come!.

I actually swapped this for a smaller size – ordered up and didn’t need to. 5’5” and 135lbs- medium is a little big on me, but comfy for long workdays and commuting. Fits well, warm, soft, and so far no issues with pilling or anything else.

It was worth the risk considering Patagonia makes good any issues you have for the life of the item. My iPhone 12 fits great in the outer pocket and I really love the inside pockets for light things such as a mask.

I wear this regularly to the office with a long-sleeved shirt underneath and it’s perfect to keep the chill away without being too hot.

I recommend this vest! I absolutely love it. Specifically, I really love pockets! The front top pocket on the outside of the vest is perfect for my cell phone. A bonus are the two additional pockets on the inside.

The elastic drawstrings keep the bottom of the vest sung so no wind can move up inside. Last, I was really please at the waterproof shell. I got caught in the rain the other day and the water just wicked away.

Color and fit are perfect for me.

Love love love this Best I bought one for myself last year I am a woman and it fits wonderfully the women’s clothes are often just to fit it in not as designed for work so this is perfect then I got it for my brother for his birthday and extra-large he just loves it the chest pocket on the left fits your smart phone perfectly then inside zipper pocket for keys and two outside pockets easy to slip your hands into it’s just a great great light weight but warm layer and not.

I like having my arms free to move around and this vest does it very well. Yet it keeps me warm. Covers my backside just right. It’s high enough around the neck to prevent the cold from causing chills but doesn’t interfere with my movements.

Wish I had found it years ago. One minor improvement would be to provide insulation for the outer part of the pockets to keep hands warmer when in pockets. Also, it would be nice if there was an offering with a removeable hood.

I have an DL vest which I wore a bunch. XL size was snug on me and over time pocket edges started to tear, so ordered the next size larger a 2XL. Wish there was a size between like 1XL. The other issue with the new vest is the new velcro adjustable inner carry attachments have an inner backing that is very noisy.

Sounds like a sheet of heavy plastic that makes noise with normal vest open/close. Still wearing the old one and sewed up the pockets by hand. Probably will keep the new one and see if washing gets it to quiet down.

Too much trouble to return and company does not offer free returns as far as I can tell and right now an hour wait to talk to a human. Still like the company and their asking for honest feedback.

Great vest. These run a little big. I always wear a large, but ordered a large and it too big. I like a vest to be fairly snug. Sent it back and got a medium. It fits perfectly. Vest seems to be well made, it’s good looking, and durable.

The quilted lining makes it comfortable over any material, and the outer material is rugged. I’ve been working in my shop and rolling around on the floor with it in for the past two weeks with no issues.

This vest is old, and I absolutely love it. And the main reason is that the breast pocket will actually hold an iPhone, where other brands are too small. And the side zipper pockets are great too, large.

And there is an INSIDE pocket too, and that is extremely important for a wallet or your COVID shot cards.

Own many fleece vests. This is as good as it gets. Bought both colors. Better than Columbia. Sturdy weight, warm, yet dressy/classy enough for professional office work or casual Fridays. Fit good and comfortable.

Collar comfortable. Zippered pockets keep me from losing stuff. Chest pocket great place to keep my reading glasses. Wish they offered in more colors – red, forest green, tan all would be nice.

Wear this fleece vest as an alternative to my regular fleece, for those days where it’s just cool enough outside but maybe a little too warm for full fleece/jacket. anyone who lives in southeast during fall/winter knows what i’m talking about.

I bought several vest trying to get just what I wanted. This one finally met the bill. It is long enough and big enough. Also the fabric meets my needs. I was particularly pleased to find it warmer than expected.

I have been able to wear this vest without needing to use a coat because it keeps me warm enough. I was also happy to see the pockets come with snaps helping to secure my belongings. This vest was much better than many others I purchased and returned from other vendors.

I bought this vest to replace the women’s puffer down vest that I ripped and was unavailable. I like the vest, of course it would be a better fit for a man, but that aside, the arm holes seem unnecessarily large- 9 inches in diameter (they are even too big for my husband 5’9 160lbs).

That would work for someone who has 12-15 inch circumference arms! It’s very lightweight, I often wear a hoodie under it for added warmth (especially to keep the draft out of the large armhole gap). It otherwise seems like it’s appropriate, size-wise.

I like that it’s longer than the women’s version [the sizing on that vest is also way off – medium fits like a large, large- I miss my old puffer down vest 🙁 ].

I have had this vest for approximately six months. I have purchased similar vest from Several other more expensive Sellers. This vest from Lands End Beats the competition hands-down. The materials and workmanship are by far superior.

Product way overpriced. Image online made vest appear tone more bulkier a cold weather vest. It is not. It is a light vest. Way overpriced. Would never buy it shop here again.

I have one of these vests that I bought over a year ago. I liked it so much I decided to buy another – obviously in the same size. However, I could tell something had changed as soon as I went to put it on – it was if the vest had shrunk a half size in all dimensions.

I held it up to last year’s vest, and this one is a bit shorter, smaller in circumference (both by 1 to 1. 5 inches) and worst of all the arm holes are significantly higher and tighter. That was the killer to the deal and I had to return the item.

I could and should lose 15 lbs but I can’t change my arms. This won’t matter to a lot of people, unless you’re on the border between two sizes. I also have a hooded version of the jacket, and that fits perfectly.

Wondering what changed, I looked at the tags and found the two older items were made in China and this was made in Vietnam. Evidently, in MH’s quest to cut cost they also cut the size of the item. I give the item 5 stars based on my older items, but am frustrated by another company changing their sizing in an ongoing product and thinking no one would notice or care.

I loooovvvvveeeeeeee this vest. Well made and as warm as good, sweet lovin’! About the only drawback I find with it is the lack of a bacon-warming pouch within its cozy folds!

I bought my vest to be used as a second layer for skiing and climbing. However, very shortly, I found out that it is also great for cycling when is chilly and could also wear it with a dress shirt and it looks classic (black).

The Rampage vest represents premium quality and craftmanship. I’m literally blown away. I own the Hotshot vest too which is equally as good in terms of quality and craftmanship, they’re just two different styles.

However, the Rampage vest is slightly bigger than the Hotshot, so I purchased the Rampage in size small, while my Hotshot is in size medium. I’m 5’8″, 155Lbs, 40″ chest, with a slim athletic build and the Rampage size small fits me perfectly with a shirt, and I still have enough room to wear a hoodie or a jean jacket underneath.

Also, I’ve tried the Rampage vest with the back armour inserted (sold separately), and I still have enough room to wear my hoodie underneath too. No complaints except that I had to pay additional customs and duty charges because I live in Toronto, Canada.

The shipment took 2 weeks, but that’s understandable given the shipping delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Overall, I’m an extremely happy with this purchase.

Good day/evening gentleman, I am here to leave this brief review on my experience with the First MFG Sharpshooter vest. To preface this, I have previoulsy owned, what I believe to be an older version of the Blaster vest an old Army friend gave me.

(The Blaster did not have the bullet snap or the quick acess pocket) After retiring the Blaster, I decided to buy the Sharpshooter which had better leather and new features. I received my vest in a large flat box to prevent creasing which I liked.

The first thing I noticed upon unboxing, was the intoxicationg smell of new leather and the buttery soft naked cowhide. I immediately tried it on, the vest had a nice weight to it versus the thin, lighter skin of the Blaster.

I am a former infantryman standing 5’10” weighing around 230 Lbs. chest measurement 48”, 40” at the widest part of the gut. The XL I ordered fit magnificently with a T-shirt or flannel. I had enough room to place my fists between my chest and the vest.

The stomach area was a little snugger, paired with a midweight Carhartt zip up hoodie I believed I was pushing it. The biggest complaint I had with my Blaster vest was that the collar was too tight with a hoodie and made me nervous as it pressed on my carotid.

The Sharpshooter has a nice open mandarin collar that allows a lightweight hoodie to hang nicely and not bunch up around the neck (although it hangs a little lower with the vest unzipped). The only thing I would have loved to see different from the Blaster would have been slightly wider concealed carry holster (instead of the tapered one which fits a 1911 snugly) to accommodate my light bearing firearm (g19+aplc) The offset zipper threw me off at first but you quickly get the hang of it as well as the quick access concealed pocket.

To sum up a long review I love everything his vest has to offer and I can’t wait to adventure out with it. Thank you for reading and I hope I answered any questions you may have had.

This vest has more than I thought! Cut short so no more bunching when you sit down. Very heavy! great for those like me who can’t stand a feather light cut. Durable yet very soft leather! Amazing craftsmanship, and sturdy build.

Runs one size small, not too bad. It’s snug and warm, yet cool enough for the summer. Wide cut sleeve holes making it ideal for layering. Big pockets that are nice and hidden. Heavy duty zipper and last but not least and the biggest upside for those of us rocking a patch; it has a removable liner exposing that fresh leather.

No more sewing through the liner and pockets!.

It was too small and had to be returned. I bought this as a gift. I just crossed my fingers hoping it would fit a 300lb man. It would be nice if tumi had sizes up to 4x and bigger. However, he expressed that it is an awesome vest of grand quality.

I was looking for a sleeveless vest and fell in love with this unique design with the contrast shoulder and paisley lining. While it’s reversible I’m not likely to wear it with the paisley as the outer as I prefer the solid bronze colour which is rich and classy.

The fit is perfect for me with a good length that keeps your lower back warm. The zipper is easy to do up (unlike another brand) and the internal breast pocket is handy. I don’t mind the front pockets being open as I tend to use the internal pocket more.

The hood is great to keep the cold away from your neck. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase & have had a lot of compliments each time I wear this vest. Some of my work colleagues threaten to steal my Patagonia jacket!!.

Bought this vest for my wife and she loves it. She’s been eyeing this best for years so I wanted to surprise it with her. The newer model seems slightly less bulky and rigid than previous editions. The hood is large, so it’s actually useful but definitely looks a little big when up in case that matters to anyone.

The inside print is awesome so I’d say the only bummer I could think of with the vest is that it’s not reversible. Also it’s pretty expensive, but it’s made out of recycled materials and will last for many years so seemed worth the investment to me.
