20 Best Vests For Women (2022 Updated)

Absolutely love my fleece heated vest. I work outside and this vest is easy to wear under a coat. It keeps me warm and has 3 heat settings. The battery is slim and does not get in my way while working.

I definitely would recommend this vest!! The fleece vest is best worn close to the body so you get the warmth against you. I just wear a long sleeve t-shirt under it. Then you can layer on top of the vest if you need more clothes.

So when picking the size keep this in mind.

Totally liked the vest, the fit, the quality, however the battery would not take a full charge. Directions state battery should be fully charged after 5 hours; it was not. Stayed blinking on the 3rd of the 4th lighted dot.

Put in vest, ran it till it died and charged again thinking it would take a full charge, it did not. Contacted ORORO explained my situation and they provided me with a replacement battery. Had various emails and pictures and they were fantastic! Absolutely outstanding customer service, I was very impressed.

Vest fits well, bought a size small, I’m 5’3″ and 117lb and it fits perfect. I would highly recommend any ORORO product, not only because the product it good quality but they have the customer service to back up their products.

My friend recommended the oromo heated vest for me and it was definitely one of my best purchases in 2020. It is light, soft, and very comfortable when wearing. It kept me warm for hours when I was outside making a snowman with my son last week.

The design is also very good. I can easily press the on/off button on the left chest to adjust the temperature settings among low, medium and high. The heat comes very fast as soon as you press the on button and seems to be more concentrated around the neck, which is a great advantage for me.

I will surely recommenced this vest to my other friends.

I’ve owned several Venture Heat products (vests, jackets, etc) and needed a new size vest after losing weight. I purchased the “original” Roam puffer vest (I think it’s called V1) in Berry from the outlet section of the website, and absolutely loved it.

Although it wasn’t the version with a heated neck, I loved that the inside was a flocked/ light fleece material, and there was a large inside chest pocket for my phone. They didn’t have the Roam V1 in black, so I got this vest (Roam V2) after being assured it was exactly the same by customer service.

It is not. It’s very similar, but the inside of this vest is a slick nylon material (not cozy fleece like v1) and they got rid of all of the inside pockets other than the one for the battery, so now I don’t have an inside pocket for my phone.

Finally, they added a black nylon “cuff” material to the arm holes that is slightly darker than the vest (you can see it in the photo when you look closely) that doesn’t look very fashionable. I love Venture Heat’s vests and customer service, and all of their products I own have stood the test of time.

but this vest misses the mark for me because it feels like a downgrade from the v1. I do like the heated neck, but the slick interior and lack of interior pockets really cheapens the feel of the vest in comparison to the previous version.

I’m keeping it because it’s the only option (I’ve tried vests from competitors Vestuvas and Ororo and Venture Heat is the best and warmest heat by FAR) but I’m really hoping for a Roam V3 that adds back the fleece lining and interior pockets while keeping the neck heat!.

I did not a lot of research before landing on Venture Heat. There are so many options out there it can be overwhelming! I really rate this as 4. 5 stars. Let’s start with the pros of this vest. It fits me really well (5’7″ 115-120 lbs size XS).

Like the 2 zippered hand pockets and the internal stuff pocket. Like the zipper garage at the neck so the zipper does not chafe your neck. Like the battery can be also used to charge your phone in a pinch (but then it would take away battery life of the vest).

The neck warming feature is my by far my favorite feature. The cons: the zippered hand pockets are at a weird spot (like they are too close to the center of the vest and need to be moved outwards laterally a bit).

But that is totally nit picking. For me the bigest con is I thought I would feel radiating heat with this vest on. I don’t (except on my neck and that is probably because my neck is not covered up with layers of clothes).

But that being said, even though I don’t feel like I am enveloped in warmth, I am NOT COLD when out walking the dog, running errands etc. And that is HUGE because I am always cold. So while I wish it could heat up to be a warmer temperature, it has proved sufficient for me.

I am glad I got this vest and wish I would have known about these products years ago. For what it is worth my hubby is jealous of my vest and likely will be purchasing on in the near future. Bottom line, really good vest! Get it!.

Got this for golf. I’m 5’10” 200lbs. bought XL because I didn’t want any restriction for golf. If I wasn’t using for golf I think a Large would be better. XL is a little long and a bit loose for my build with 44″ chest.

Just about anything without the upper body rotation of golf Large would have been better choice. Happy with it though. So far only needed it for the 1st hour or so in the mornings. Upper back is where I feel the heat, From below armpits and up.

So far only used well less than half the battery capacity. Charges slow. Seems like 2-4x longer to charge than discharge during use. Probably need a 2nd battery for all day extended use. Little inside pocket for battery is great since I like to stick my hands in outside pockets between golf shots.

I do put a disposable heat pack in one or both pockets since cold hands and golf don’t mix. Update: I used a thermal IR gun to verify heat element placements. The illustrations in the listing are accurate.

i have 2 other 32degree vests, both down filled and i love them. had them for years now and wanted a new color. grabbed the new leaf green vest. same size as my other 2 vests (size M men’s), noticed they are not using down anymore, for $20 i can try a poly filled vest.

terrible. color is nice, but exterior material feels very cheap, and the waist line is HUGE! i feel like a bell. no way to cinch the waist closed! cold air shoots right up thru it. i ordered some for my parents, but i’m not giving them.

the vests are garbage quality and fit horribly. now i have to find presents with only days to go! don’t waste your money here, buy a quality vest somewhere else, the money you save isn’t worth it. probably donating to the salvation army.

We love the 32 Degree brand and have purchased many items since discovering their online shop a few years ago. The products are stylish, practical and very affordable. A Great value. Just recently I ordered my second packable vest along with our order of 32 Degree gifts for the family.

The vests are light and comfortable and I wanted one in the green color. I like the outside zippered pockets and the inside pockets are a bonus. Unfortunately the right inside pocket had a hole in it the first time I wore the vest.

I put my car keys in this pocket. Luckily when the keys went through the hole they hit my foot. I could have easily left them in the ground somewhere and never noticed it. The vest is a five star but the defect subtracts 2 stars.

I’ll get the hole fixed and enjoy the vest this winter.

Sizing is horrible for this vest. I ordered the XL because T-shirt xl fits me near perfectly. The xl for this vest had good length but you could fit a second me inside it because it was wide. I ordered a large and it fits good near stomach but the length of the vest is so small.

It looks like a borrowed it from my little brother. Will continue to order shirts but nothing else until they fix the sizing issue. Waste of money on this product l, extremely dissatisfied.

I ordered this in the Elk color which looked like a warm caramel color on both my computer and iPhone. When it arrived I was disappointed to see that it is more of a flat color – think more brownish beige than caramel.

Bummed about that but the jacket itself is well-made and functional – wish it had snaps along with the zipper. I sized up and am glad I did as I find Columbia brand tends to run small. Sleeves are a bit too long but roll up easily.

Love the one zippered chest pocket; wish the side pockets also had zippers. I never would’ve bought this if it hadn’t been on sale. This is not a substantial jacket – it’s perhaps a bit thicker than your average fleece jacket but that’s it.

Still, I like the longer length and there are enough good things about it to justify purchasing at the sale price. Now I just have to accept the fact that the color isn’t quite what I wanted!.

This a great vest (good material, good construction, fits well, very practical) with one glaring problem. The color “coral reef” is such an intensely vibrant orange with a slight hint of pink that screens using RGB colors literally cannot accurately display the color.

The photos and color swatch make it look like a bright pink. Don’t be fooled- the actual color is closer to a traffic cone! It might work for some people, but it’s not a good color on me. I’ll still use the vest, because it IS a great quality product, but unless you look good in traffic cone orange, don’t go for the coral reef version.

I bought 2 of these one for my mom and one for myself. They are really cute and love the color, elk. Has tons of pockets on inside and out. Definitely a nice coat. Only down side is it bothers me a tiny bit under the armpit areas where the seam’s are.

It kind of bulges out and rubs under my armpit. Hopefully with wear it will lay down better and not be an issue. Other than that I love it. It feels quality and like it will be warm for the cold days when I have to go outside for work.

Love love this vest – and grateful to have found it. When I did my original search for this type vest that is longer in back on the Columbia website it didn’t show up so I ordered an alternative vest (in 2 sizes to be sure of fit).

When that vest just didn’t quite do it for me, although it was a really great long vest, I searched on the net and there this was! AND from Columbia, so I clicked on that and the rest is history. Not sure why I didn’t find it the first time.

This Heavenly Long Vest is thin enough to layer over or under other layers but has that Omni-heat to keep me warm. BIG fan of Omni-heat linings. Amazing stuff. This runs true to size for me; I ordered size Small reg (I don’t think there was a petite option) I am 5’3, 130#, 36C.

I’ll be wearing it play golf in cool-to-cold weather, walk my fur babies & around town. It’s really a winner in my books.

I have worn my new vest several times in the last week. It’s very comfortable, soft and lightweight. It has faux fur around the inside of collar which is nice. It hasn’t been very cold so I can’t attest to how warm it is, so that is why I gave it only a 4.

I suspect it’s very warm with the omni-heat lining. I originally purchased a large which turned out to be a bit too snug. I wouldn’t have been able to wear anything heavy/bulky underneath. I am 5’5 and weight 170.

If you aren’t sure whether to size up, the extra large is not baggy or oversized. So I wouldn’t be afraid to do that if you want to be able to wear something bulky underneath. I like that the length is a little longer.

The hem hits me at the top of my legs.

This vest is perfect for all and beyond. I am size 14 and bought xxl because i wanted to be able to layer and fit big bulky sweaters under it. It def is oversized and if i wanted it to fit “properly” id def have picked xl.

But i love it being ample in size. And the extra long tail provides super coverage. and while i have not fully tested it yet, i do believe the internal lining will prove super warm when needed. The collar inside is soft to the neck and face.

ZIpper pockets mean items stay secure. I paid full price for this and would do it again without hesitation. Definitely recommend this product.

This is the fourth Carhartt Mock-Neck vest I have owned. I wear them all year long and they provide just the right amount of warmth for any situation. They are super durable and last for years. I have always worn a size medium and and been more than satisfied with the quality, so I ordered a medium.

A couple of days later while looking at other Carhartt products, I decided to read reviews that people had written about the Mock-Neck. Many people have said in their reviews to go a size down. Based on what they said, I ordered a size small.

Both vests arrived a day apart. The medium vest was huge on me but the small was just right. I contacted customer service and spoke to Betty, who was extremely helpful with returning the medium vest.

The only thing that I kind of don’t like about the vest is the zipper. I preferred the zipper that all my other vests had. That’s just my personal opinion. That being said, it is still a five star product.

Carhartt rocks!,,.

I prefer to wear a vest with hoody and layers underneath, instead of a winter jacket, on the job site for better mobility. I have been eying this vest for a while and Carhartt is always top quality and comfort with all of my other clothing, and I liked the design and colour of this vest.

Based on the photo, the vest looks warm, durable, and the pockets seemed ideal for holding tools, screws, or gloves when working outside. Due to the lockdown I had to purchase online and couldn’t buy/try on in store.

When the vest arrived, I was disappointed in two things. 1) That the vest is not as warm/thick as it looks or sounds like in the description. There is no way that I could use this outdoors during the winter months in Southern Ontario.

This is not Carhartt’s fault, it’s just not what I had expected. They always make quality gear, it’s just not the thickness/warmth that I anticipated based on the photo and description. 2) I am 6’2, 220 lbs, athletic build with no belly.

I bought size XL. The length is good, but even with a thick hoody and clothing underneath, there is so much extra room in the belly and chest area. As a result, it hangs very loosely in the belly area especially, kind of feels like a dress.

If you have a boiler then this would be a good product for you, but if you have an athletic build or you’re 6’2/6’3 and skinny, then it hangs very baggy/loose in the belly area and looks and fells weird.

Even if I sized down, the length would probably be too short and it may still be too loose in the size Large. I will be returning the vest. If you’re looking for a fall/spring vest to wear and you’ve got a belly, I recommend this vest as it upholds to Carhartt’s reputation for quality and comfort.

But in my opinion, it is not ready for winter work in Ontario based on thickness and warmth, and it’s way too loose in the belly area, even with layers underneath. It’s tough to give this vest a low STAR score because it is durable, comfortable, and based on Carhartt’s reputation it is good value.

And my recommendation to a friend would would depend on their needs and size/build.

I bought two (2) of the Loose Fit Washed Duck Sherpa-Lined Mock-Neck Vest. I love these vests, and if someone wanted to take them from me, they would have to tear them off my dead body. Well made, rugged, and warm.

I wear one of them every day working. I only have one minor issue. I’m not sure labeling them as “loose” fit is the best way to describe them. Loose implied to me that they were not a “tailored” fit, but there is more “space” than I was expecting.

Maybe “not a tailored fit” or something like that, would be better. I wish I had got one size smaller, but I’m not sure it would have fit my frame. So, I will wear them with pride and maybe try a smaller size (Medium) next time.

Outback Trading is one of the few companies that understands the value/necessity of a two-way zipper for equestrian clothing. And as a plus-sized woman, I appreciate that the sizes are true. This is my second Grand Prix Vest, and I have many other pieces by Outback Trading that I wear just about daily around the farm.

Bought the vest for use during a vacation to Europe in November. It was perfect alone on mild days and just as adequate on colder days with a pull- over sweater underneath. Looks casual and sporty or dressed up with a scarf.

I love it!.

I love the color and softness of fabric. I wish it had not been so long waisted. I’m 5’3” tall and the design was to fit a tall person. The shoulders kept rising up when I sat down. I wish it had been a shorter design like fitting around the waist rather than around the hips.

Anyway, I kept it because I love brown vests.

I bought this during the semi-annual sale. I returned it not because I didn’t like it but because it was a piece I would have to wear with specific items. It is a very cute vest. I wouldn’t wear anything under it.

It payed flat and was very flattering. I’m normally and xs in tops and got the reg 0. I have 32 D bust and am 5’2”. If there weren’t other items I needed more, then I definitely would’ve kept it. If you see and like it, buy it.

It’s so cute and flattering on and fits well around the bust and waist and isn’t frumpy looking. I wouldn’t pair it with the matching cropped pants if you’re short. Just makes your legs look 6 inches tall.

But with with jeans, white jeans with the black trim would be so stylish.

This top and pants are so much cuter in person than in the photos. I had seen it online and in the catalogue and passed on it because the material looked shiny. In person, it is not shiny looking at all but a very pretty black linen.

I love the bottoms of the pants – feminine and flattering. Everything fit beautifully – I got a size 2 in the top (ran a little large) and a 4 in the bottoms. I am 5’3” 129 pounds.

This linen suit is amazing. Very cute together and separate. True to size! I don’t personally think it’s possible to wear the vest without a top. But that’s no big deal. Totally worth the awesome sales price!.

Couldn’t be happier with this vest. Fit is perfect based on the sizing chart and the quality is superb. My man loves the way I look in it and I gladly recommend this vest.

Very warm, has pockets on the inside and the outside. The length covers the backside very nicely and I’m 5’7. Its very fluffy lined on the inside. I bought the Rose pink color and its very nice. I sized up to a 3X and its very roomy.

I could have went with a size 2X and it would have fit a bit better. But overall it is a really good buy. It definitely feels like a jacket vest. It does have some weight to it but not bad overall.

Bought in 3 x size, for reference I’m a 26/28 W on tops and coats. Fits true to size. Closes over the front area where there is more of me just fine. This vest is lined in white faux fur and is reversible.

I bought it to go under my existing winter jacket because the vest that should have gone with it when I bought it on clearance was missing. I’ve always just worn it as a lightweight winter jacket. Now I can add the vest and have another extra warm winter coat.

I also bought the white winter booties with faux white fur trim to match. Will look so cute when going out in winter.

This is really well made and cozy! The mauve color is absolutely gorgeous. The fit is odd on my hourglass body type, though. It’s very straight up and down like a men’s vest, not cut to skim a woman’s figure.

I typically wear a medium and the M is a little big in the underarm/upper chest area but a little snug in the hips when zipped. I will probably size down to the S and just plan to wear it unzipped.

I bought my first Cotopaxi jacket in the fall and immediately fell in love with it, so when the end-of-season hit, I jumped on getting this vest. It is light-weight, well constructed, and easily compacts.

I love that the zippers always work, clearly made of good quality materials. I hate having to fight zippers and these never fail. I also love how compact it is. I can easily wear the vest as a layer under my other Cotopaxi jacket on my ride to work, then stuff it in my backpack if necessary for my ride home without taking up space in my pack.

The vest is warm, yet when I’m too warm, I can take it off and stuff it so small that it doesn’t get in the way of anything. At first I was a bit worried if the material would hold up to rubbing on things and rip, but after I wrecked on my bike a couple of weeks ago and slid across the ground, I only had a 2 mm hole in the jacket that was easy to repair instead of being ripped to shreds like I expected.

The vest fits pretty true to size. I have a larger chest for a medium build and it is a snug fit, a bit snugger than the same size jacket, but it still fits great. I’m a huge fan of the color schemes.

I tend to like going bold, but not obnoxious. I loved all the color choices and had a hard time picking one. I ultimately chose my favorite. I get compliments all the time, almost every time I wear the vest.

If I had to give one piece of negative criticism, it would be the shipping. I live 90 miles from the point of origin and it took 8 days to get to me. It felt a bit like a kid waiting for their birthday!.

Warm, looks great, excellent materials and workmanship. All the zippers work perfectly, and I noticed one stray feather when I first unpacked it. Very happy with the slightly overstuffed collar, which is a pet peeve of mine on lesser garments.

I notice a lot of the negative reviews are about fit, so here’s my experience: I’m 5’9″ 165. I take a medium in most street clothes (Eddie Bauer, Banana Republic) but a large in most athletic clothes (avid cyclist; so Pearl Izumi, Giordana.

) I guess vanity sizing hasn’t arrived to more athletic gear yet. The vest might be a tad long on me, but not so much that I can’t access the front pockets of my jeans. A fleece fits comfortably underneath, with great freedom of movement, which is probably how it will be used most.

I wouldn’t want it any smaller with a fleece, though obviously it’s roomier with just a shirt. It’s also svelte enough that I can wear a shell over it, making it a very versatile garment, which is what you want from a vest.

I like the way the baffles are narrower toward the bottom; not sure if that’s for fashion or for optimum warmth? I got the spruce with stripes and love the look (I’m only moderately fashion conscious) even though I first thought that the stripes might be too loud (they’re not, and the colors are really well chosen.

) I’d say it looks more like cold weather gear than fashion apparel; not a taylored look, although they did a really good job of making it look cool. This is now my go to cold weather garment, although on really cold days I’ll still wear my down jacket.

Great product!.

I was looking for a down vest that would give me some core warmth, but wouldn’t be bulky. And, I wanted it to be packable for hikes where it starts off cool and then gets warm so that it would be small and light for my daypack.

This one is perfect! I noticed a few reviews complaining that the fit is too tight, but a slim fit is exactly what you want with a down vest. You want something you can easily wear with a pack and almost forget that it’s on.

The tighter fit retains warmth much better than bulky vests too. Plus, when it really gets cold, it’s easy to use as a layer under a winter coat. You don’t want a life preserver! Also, the colors are awesome and Cotopaxi’s corporate responsibility standards make it the kind of company I want to do business with.

Win, win, win all around. Highly recommend! For reference, I am 6’, 190 lbs and the L is a perfect fit.

Loved that it’s not too puffy but it just hit me at an odd area past my hips at 5’4” and it made my legs look even shorter and it wasn’t flattering on me. Tried on a size 3 (recommend by moncler size chart) but I think the size 4 looked better as 34d.

Size 3 fit but when unzipped it didn’t cover the front bust area very well. I ended up getting a more cropped moncler jacket which looked way better on me than this. This vest might be better suited for taller or long waisted women.

Been wearing this every chance I get this Spring, even when it’s warm out. It’s great with a light t-shirt due to sleek fit. Love the feminine, pale pink color & silky, satiny feel. I call it my snuggy.

This runs so incredibly small. I typically wear an XL in women’s Moncler and I ordered an XL and it looked like a child’s medium. Ordered the 7XL which sounded absurd but I wanted to try it…. it’s still tight lol.

It’s going back!.

I purchased five of these to wear in the office this winter. I am a size 18 tall and purchased 2XL because I did not want a snug fit. These have the oddest fit – the armholes are HUGE! They gap out under my arms and there is way too much fabric across the top of the chest.

The neck is really wide – it’s as if this cut is for an NFL linebacker!!! Oddly, they fit beautifully around my hips however they tend to ride up and gather around my waist. I find I am tugging down on them all day long.

As if that weren’t enough these are a TOTAL LINT TRAP!! I’ve worn the black one with a long sleeved tee shirt underneath and the red one with a button down underneath and they both have left me covered in lint and lint balls down the inside of both arms and across my chest and stomach.

I washed them before I wore them in cold water, dried them on low and hung them to finish drying. They didn’t shrink at all and are very soft, they are just really “unstructured” and I look like an unkept, rumpled, lint-y mess.

Definitely sending all five of these back.

This vest checks off all the boxes. When I ordered it, I was hoping it would be warm but not too bulky & cumbersome to wear. To my delight, it is very easy to wear. When I do venture out in our unpredictable Western New York late Fall & Winter weather, a lightweight fleece jacket under the vest helps to keep my arms warm & the vest itself gives me freedom of movement with my cross body purse etc.

especially when shopping in various stores. I was so pleased with this that I bought one for my ever- persnickety daughter for Christmas. As expected, she loves it & often wears it around the house instead of heavy sweaters and such.

The vest collar is high, but surely protects the neck from cold winds. The side pockets have a snap for closure. I would have preferred a zipper. However, after a few trips to the store etc…. not a problem after all!! This vest provides warmth & freedom of movement & scores high on my list!!.

I saw this vest in Regular sizes in the Lands’ End store, and decided to spring for a Tall length vest, now that jackets and coats are (thankfully!) being designed in longer lengths this year. (I tend to really feel the cold.

What a wonderful difference those longer lengths make on cold days!!) Given my broad shoulders and narrower frame, I usually wear a size LT for coats and tops – but the MT vest fits me very well (including through the hips), with generous room to layer a sweater underneath, too.

Customer Service was very helpful in providing garment dimensions, to help me determine the right size to order for the best fit. I love how soft, sleek, lightweight, non binding, attractive, and most importantly, WARM this long vest is.

Trying it on under a few parkas and coats I used to previously layer with a shorter polyfill vest, sweater or packable down jacket, I enjoy how warm, more comfortable and better fitting the same outerwear feels with this long down vest underneath.

It packs down to almost nothing, helps to better retain body heat, and permits greater freedom of movement than when layering with bulkier, sleeved clothing. I expect this vest will be a valuable addition to my wardrobe for 3 seasons of the year – especially during the transitional weather of Spring and Fall.

In the picture of the model wearing the purple vest it looks like there’s a pull string to make the bottom of the vest tighter. There indeed is no clasp to make it tighter. Very deceiving. That’s why I purchase this vest.

I’m 5 ‘8 and bought a 3x and the vest fits short. I would have gotten a “Tall” size but they only go up to XXL. Sending it back. Also the color isn’t the same as online. It more of a maroon.

I love vests and this is a nice one. The outer fabric looks like a knit sweater, which gives it a slightly dressier look. I chose navy, but I like all the colour options and found it hard to decide. Inside is cozy, warm fleece.

The pocket lining is a soft, smooth thin fleece. The fit is snug and feels warm right away. I usually take medium and this one fits just right. I wear a vest when I want just an extra bit of warmth around my core, sometimes with an outer garment, but mostly just on its own over a long or short-sleeve shirt.

A well-fitting vest is an important staple in my wardrobe.

It’s everything I wanted in the body core warmth vest, material, feel, and look. Had to send the package back, and order the next size up. I always opt for XL, to allow a little room for layering. The single X was not tight, but it was snug, and would not allow for layering for my desired daily utility with the vest.

So this vest, i had to send back and get the XX L. I’ve only had to do that with aftermarket cotton T-shirt manufacturers (concert Ts, and that sort of thing). I don’t recall having to purchase a garment like this using double X large.

Suffice to say, it’s just a tad small, if ordering online, recommend going next one up, if you prefer the space for layering over your clothes.

It’s been a standard of mine for years, third one in as many years. Two down falls of the vest are that the wind blows right through this material and it pills terribly. Knowing those two things hasn’t prohibited me from buying three over the years.

Quality is all Patagonia, it doesn’t like to be washed in a washing machine despite what the tag says, hand wash it, don’t dry it in the dryer let it hang or lay flat on a towel. Other than that a tape roller becomes a necessary tool if you have a dog.

Dog hair is attracted to this vest like nut jobs to politics. The hair hangs on like a third term senator too! Fact is you can’t find a better fleece vest.

Bought one a few years ago. LOVE it. Whether breezy, foggy, rainy or just cold, it protects. Perfect for working on a medical campus, frequently darting from building to building. A full jacket is just too much to leave on all day.

This vest is super light weight & the hood is at the ready. It dries out fast. The 2 side zip pockets are roomy (all zippers work well). Favorite feature: the LARGE inside zip left breast pocket. ALL women’s jackets should have a secure pocket, even just a small one for a card.

I keep an extra mask, cash, tickets & ID in it. The fabric is sheer making the inside pocket invisible. Although I bought a 2nd, just to have, in case LLB stops making them, this one shows no wear. I would like to be able to buy the “same” vest with the regular fabric on the sides.

Did not order other than black as I prefer the sides match the rest of the vest. This garment is my constant companion while travelling. Would like LLB to consider extending the shoulders to be cap-sleeves (for rain).

Light weight, package warmth with pockets! Perfect for heading out without having to carry a purse, zip pockets ensure you won’t lose your card/cash/cell phone or keys! I have 2 of these now, love the versatility, comfort and good look while out and about on hikes or for running errands.

They wash well, no shrinkage and yes, it packs into the larger chest pocket that conforms to what ever space you might have in you pack or luggage and comes out looking no worse for having being scrunched up.

I bought the Women’s regular XL because I wanted a little more butt coverage and room for a heavy sweater if needed. I normally wear with just a zip neck long sleeve top or a flannel shirt and am quite comfortable.

Fits well over a hiking sweater without making me look like a stuffed sausage. Highly recommend for performance!.

I got a small petite, and wondered why a vest would need to come in a petite size. I found out. Even the petite is much too long. And it’s “slightly fitted at waist,” which doesn’t work if you don’t have one.

When zipped up it is too tight around the middle. On the plus side the pinkish color is lovely, and the pockets (the reason I got it) are great. There are three zippered pockets, each large enough to hold cell phone, wallet, car keys and more.

And there is an inside zippered pocket that the vest folds into for packing. That gives you a fourth zippered pocket into which a Kindle fits with room to spare. In the end it’s worth having for the pockets, even though it’s too long.

Love the retro look of this vest. Great quality. The fit isn’t slim fitting, since it’s a retro 90’s style, so if you’re looking for a very slim cut, you may not like this vest. But the fit makes it easy to layer the vest over a fleece sweater or light jacket, making it great for layering.

I wear a large in jackets normally, and got this vest in a large and the fit was perfect. It does have pull strings to tighten the bottom of the vest around your waist if you find it a bit boxy at first.

Highly recommend!.

I use the vest indoors and out to stay comfortable. It layers well under a fleece jacket, or my wind/rainproof jacket from The North Face. Indoors it keeps my core warm when I’m only wearing a lighter weight shirt.

I’ve just moved back to Chicago after spending the past 16 years in the Florida Keys, and need the warmth, and comfort this vest provides. Don’t be fooled by its light weight. It will keep you warm!.

The vest body for the most part is excellent. Warm, breathable and relitively durable. The Nuptse vest has been my primary working outerwear for over a decade in the frigid temps of south central Alaska.

However, the new “Retro” line with stoeable hood is odd and laughable. The rolled hood is thin and worthless in anything less than 40F. I much prefer the older style, with the full down filled coller.

The nuptse vest world be infinitely better if it had 800+ fill down, two vertical chest pockets, high abrasion cordura shoulder protection and the option for a full coverage down hood.

I wanted a down vest that would fit over either a couple of thick sweaters or a down jacket, for very cold early winter mornings when walking the dogs. I thus intentionally bought an XL when my usual Stio size is L, and the vest fits perfectly for my intended purpose.

My advice re size thus differs from some other reviews here, which indicate the relaxed fit makes it run a bit larger: think about how much you want to wear under it, and size accordingly. I also want to mention the hood.

I’m in general not a hood fan, but I otherwise wanted this vest over the Pinion (which I also have and love), because I wanted a vest that was a bit beefier. In practice, I love the hood – it’s sized to nicely fit over a thick beanie without being as huge as some of Stio’s helmet-compatible hoods on other coats.

My wife has proclaimed it the most functional piece of winter gear I’ve bought in a long time – I agree!.

My only complaint – I’ve had two of the pinion vests. They both came out of the box with heavy creases down the front, in the nylon shell. I tried a lot of different things (washing, steaming multiple times) on my first vest and ended up burning it with the iron.

And thus, why I bought a second one. This second one has less creases but they are still there. It just looks unnatural to me, and thus a little wonky. Another point of feedback on the vest would be to give the arm holes some elastic stretch.

I constantly catch a sleeve/sleeve button on the arm hole (generally my second arm to put in) and it feels as if I’m going to pull off the button some day. The vest does fit great and I love the warmth to weight ratio.

The Pinion Down Vest has been a cozy addition to my daily cold mornings/skate ski/downhill ski routine. It is super warm, and the shoulder/arm fit is perfect, especially the material that encompasses the arm hole- it doesn’t rub or pinch.

The fit of the medium is a little tight around my hips, and therefore kind of bubbles around my stomach. From previous orders, I know I would be swimming in a large (although the large would most likely fit my hip width better, but it would be too large through the chest), so I went the smaller route.

I will take the tightness and the warmth it provides over a perfect fit. The material is soft, yet durable. Not a piece of duct tape adorns it as of writing this review!.

This vest is so lightweight that it can almost feel/look flimsy but it is anything but. it does the job keeping you at the right temperature and keeping the wind out (over a long sleeve shirt). It is fitted and stylish.

It is pricy but I highly recommend it, especially if you’re going to be running in colder weather. I ordered the size small and it fits TTS.

I was super excited for this vest after reading reviews in multiple locations about how great it was. However, as a pear-shaped size 12 (US) woman, even the XL didn’t fit. Thought about buying a men’s, but even the men’s XXL has the same hip measurement as the women’s XL.

This is a VERY lightweight vest that seems almost perfect. but not if I can’t zip it up over my hips. Sigh. the search continues.

Was excited about the minimalist look, chest pocket, and how light weight it was. Unfortunately is runs 1-2 sizes small. Husband normally wears a large or XL if narrow fit, and could barely zip this XL vest up.

I have been searching for a filet for so long and this hits the jack pot! It is very light in material but feel’s cosy. The sizing does come up larger than I though. I ordered a size 10 and it would easily fit a hoodie or sweater shirt underneath without feeling constricted but if you wanted a more fitted look I would size down.

The filet also sits on the hip or just above so it is not long in the length. For me this is perfect. Overall 9/10.

Wayyyyy oversized! I bought L based on the fact the listing states the model wears a M, and as I usually take a 14 I figured better to be safe. It’s giant. I could fit my husband in here with me too! Having said that, I decided to keep it, it was bought to walk the dogs in and there’s plenty of room to chuck a thick layer on underneath without it feeling bulky.

Definitely recommend sizing down one or two sizes tho.

The coolest thing I’ve bought this year. The colour is absolutely lovely. It light, but still gives you some warmth. Very comfortable to wear. The quality feels good. Sizing seems spot on. It’s just so cute! I hope H&M do some more bright colours.
