20 Best Vibram Sole Boots (2022 Updated)

These boots will last a lifetime if you take care of them. They are ideal for working on a seismic recording crew, any time you think your feet might get wet down to 40 below. The high and tight cuff is amazing, as it prevents snow from entering and allows you to wear gators wthout impeding mobility.

Being waterproof, they are suitable to any wet or snowy conditions. Its rare to find a waterproof cold weather rubber boot that does everything this one does. They fit to size, and fit well wearing bama socks and multiple layers of socks.

I find these boots offer incredible dexterity in the most challenging of terrain in wet or cold weather, moreso than boots which use materials such as a canvas or fabric would. The steel toe is nice, but you should be aware you may need to utilize toe warmers around -30 and below, as the steel itself will get cold.

Overall, these are an incredibly rugged, lightweight redesign of the Dunlop.

Bit of a snob when it comes to brands but have become so disappointed with my usual brand and the rubber splitting plus I wanted steel toe caps as dealing with 20 horses it’s only a matter of time before I get a crushed foot.

Saw these and thought I’d give them a go. Honestly thought I’d send them back – I have very slim calf’s and most wellies look like huge gapping things on my legs but these are pretty slim fitting – I was surprised – I’m a size 6 – ordered a 5 as it said order down a size and they are a perfect fit and they look good and not flappy round the calfs.

My feet are warm in the cold but not sweaty – I have had no rubbing or sores straight in. Safe, warm and comfortable is a total winner with me. Time will tell but I think I’ll be sticking now to the good old dunnys.

These are the best boots of this type I have worn. In cold frosty weather my feet remain warm, even get warmer as I work which is important as there is no distraction with numb toes! The grip provided is fantastic, I used to slip around with standard wellies, having bad falls some times resulting in personal injury, but the grip of the Dunlop Purofort boots is fantastic always completely reassuring.

The boots are very comfortable also. I am size 8-8. 5 usually, but the size 9 fits perfectly.

These boots do take a while to break in but sometimes thats a sign of top quality leather and build! The boots have become so comfortable, something I find rare when there is a steel or composite toe.

Wesco boots are truely top notch quality and I would definately trust them for future purchases!.

Full Disclosure. I work for Korkers. I wanted to leave my review of these boots as I have worn all the boots in the Korkers line and have some specific thoughts on these. These are a stout boot, meant for rugged terrain.

For a big river like the Deschutes with sharp rocks, steep banks, and super slick water, I think River Ops are a great option. If you prefer step-in comfort and softer uppers, Devil’s Canyon, Buckskin, and Greenback are better options.

For long walk and wades, I might go Devil’s Canyon over River Ops as they are lighter and a lot more flexible. It really just depends on what type of water you are fishing and what your general preferences are.

Overall, I rate this a super durable, stout boot meant for serious anglers who put 50+ days a year on their boots.

The Extreme Field shoes are a very good design, well made and are comfortable and sturdy, but too soon to tell for the long haul. Other reviews and first impression give me confidence this was a good purchase.

my second pair. i used the old one to hike 100km of the Camino de santiago in spain in 2018 and i love the fit, comfort and support. only suggestion is to improve the quality of the suede material as a tear developed in the left pair.

They had everything going for them, they look good, they’re well made and they’re good value. Plus they are made of wood which I like.

But i still don’t like omelettes. So far the boots are fine. I had Timberlands once before and I loved them. Hopeful these will be as good but who knows since I’ve only worn them like 5 times so far.

Very happy to have these warm boots. They are comfortable. They are light considering They are safety boots and so Tall. My husband has the same ones in Brown without the vibram sole. I feel like the brown ones are less slippery than the vibram sole ones.

I Wish They were a Little less slippery. Other than that they are wonderful! He has had the brown ones for 10 years and They are still in great shape, I Hope mine last as long.

The boots are very stable, great for hiking.I usually wear 7.5 size, but after reading the reviews risked to order size 7 (as 7.5 was not on sale). It fits me perfectly.

I used this boot for EVERYTHING. They only lasted a year, but as a Park Ranger, I put more than 1k miles on these boots. I wore them for work, play, and everything in between. Typically, I’ll go through 2-3 boots in a season (8 months).

These lasted the year, which I was (sadly) very pleased with. Lets start with the good: This is an incredibly comfortable, lightweight boot – light enough to run in from time to time. (Some people have commented on the rivets rubbing on their ankle bone – I did not have that experience) Minimal break-in period.

Breathable in the summer, warm and dry in the winter. They were super water proof, the tread on the bottom was great for grip in scree fields, the ankle support was just stiff enough without being cumbersome, and I would rate durability at an 9/10 – took me 13 months to blow them out, but again, I am hard on boots.

With the good, comes the bad: The laces didn’t last a week. I ended up swapping the laces for ariat laces and didn’t have a problem after. REI Engineers: PLEASE improve the laces on this boot. The rubber tread was so soft that it wore very fast.

It wore to a point – and lost some of its incredible grip on all surfaces – but was still functional. Not sure that is really a complaint – I will resole my next pair before I blow them out. I would not sacrifice the great grip for a more durable tread with less grip.

Overall, I REALLY loved this boot, and will be buying again.

I bought these boots in preparation for a research project in the Adirondack Mountains last summer. This involved multi-day backpacking trips, 20-30 mountain summits, and hundreds of miles of hiking.

These boots fit great from day one. On my first outing to the High Peaks, they felt as though they had already been broken in. I never had any issues with blisters or waterproofing, even after trudging through streams, mud, and rock hopping.

The grip is also amazing–I felt entirely confident scrambling up steep rock faces and other sketchy terrain. With all that being said, these boots only lasted me a season. The vents on either side of the boot separated from the midsole, which killed the waterproofing, and eventually I had a full blown hole through which I could see my socks.

I was hoping to get a little more life out of them, but I may have been a bit rougher on them than the average hiker would be in one season. At the end of the day, I decided to purchase a second pair because of how well they performed before they kicked the can.

I think they’re worth the price, even if durability could be better.

I had come from multiple failed attempts to find a Boot that I felt like could be MY BOOT. I tried Justin’s and Wolverene and even Merrell, as I live outside of work in barefoot/ zero drop shoes. By the way I would never suggest anyone buy Merrell work boots.

Any how, my brother in law is a Marine and he said buy Danners. He then repeated this in a large variety of ways. Here I am, after a year in these boots so thankful that I did. I couldn’t tell you how many 16 hour, 18 hour days I’ve spent with these on my feet.

I get home and am in no hurry to get them off my feet. They are SO Comfortable. As a technician in the telecom industry I encounter a variety of terrain, endure regular ackword long help position, in and out of a truck 30 plus times a day and put an average of 11000 steps in a day.

I will say the water proof factor is a touch lacking but I mean they lace up. there made to the highest quality but not with magic so let’s be realistic. Admittedly I’ve also never attempted to enhance or maintain that aspect either.

I work in south eastern GA and yea my feet sweat but never so much where I wish I’d have gotten a lighter boot. I’m here purchasing another pair due to a change in company policy allowing me to purchase boots at a new price range so ill buy another pair and they will sit, waiting for the time they are needed.

After a year of almost daily wear these things are just resilient and consistent. I’m never concerned about if my boots will be up too the task, it’s the farthest thing from my mind. These are MY BOOTS and so long as I have feet, ill put them in Danners to get the job done!.

This is my 3rd pair of the Danner, Vicious 4. 5 boots. The first pair was replaced under warranty because one boot developed a very loud “Squeak. ” The 2nd pair, the replacement pair, also developed a loud squeak just after the warranty ran out.

The third pair, the pair I’m now wearing, is very comfortable, as have been the previous two pairs. However, this third pair is not as “slip resistant” as the previous pairs. Periodically I have need to go through restaurant kitchens.

This third pair does not grip well; it’s like ice-skating, and I can’t ice-skate! Going to the same places and wearing my older squeaky pair, the grip is noticeably better, giving me a more solid footing.

All three boots have the Vibram outsoles, and claim to be oil resistant and slip resistant. For me, these boots are extremely comfortable; they have become my every day “shoes. ” I was told by the Danner Support team that these new boots should not develop the squeak.

I hope that will be the case, but I wish they were as slip resistant as my previous pairs have been. By the way, I still use my second pair when I’m somewhere where the squeak is not an issue. Burt in Glendale, CA.

I work as an end of line tester for a large HVAC manufacturer, and I experience each day everything that can be thrown at a work boot. It is a huge facility, and we build huge air conditioners. some are water source, some are dripping chemicals.

people braze and forklifts, and constant on my feet for 12 hour shifts, and these boots are the first time I have ever come home with normal feeling feet. I get them wet at least once a day, and opted to get the waterproofing spray, which makes these boots stay that way.

The ONLY thing I have to say is the toes are shredded within 6 months. I work in and around a lot of sheetmetal, and when performing my duties, often find myself holding the steel doors on my toe (composites are awesome) as well as kneeling or standing.

so have had to buy a pair every 6 months or so. As I enjoyed these boots so well, I tried another of the boots Danner makes, and had them 3 months. the toes on these had a protector on them, and after 4 months.

that was all that was left. So Danner people, I have seen this suggestion by many here. and no question ya’ll have a great shoe, but why cant we have a toe guard on them? I'[d even pay extra. I'[d send pictures of all 3 pairs (2 vicious, and that other) and you could see the toes.

but. perhaps you'[ll see this and give it a shot. I even offer to test them out in a demanding environment for just doing it. hahahh. Ya'[ll indeed have some awesome work boots, and I am not joking. If you are not certain, buy them anyway.

you won’t regret it.

First, a caveat: I have not hiked in these boots when the boots were very wet or caked with mud, or in snow. Used the boots in Arizona, UP MIchigan and the White Mountains, the latter putting the boots to the toughest test.

In snow I use Limmer boots, which never, in 30+ years, have let water enter through the leather. I bought the Danners because I was tired of hiking up mountains with a pair of boots (Limmers) that weigh 5lbs 4oz when most boots (even high cuts) weigh less than half that.

Before the Danners, I had tried another brand and a boot that had a waterproof lining, but was not pleased with how wet my socks were getting, so I decided on whole grain leather boots (because I have excellent Limmer boot grease) and that I’d deal with any water that might come thru the Danners if and when the time comes.

I don’t hike in downpours (lucky so far). Saving the best for last. I’ve been hiking for 52 years and these Danners are as comfortable out of the gate as any boot I can recall. They have held up well on rocky trails in the Whites, grab granite slabs well, and do okay protecting the feet when descending on smaller, or pointier, rocks (the heavy Limmer soles were made for descents 🙂 ).

Not one blister, no foot pain (I do wear carbon fiber orthotics, which I place atop the insole instead of removing the back half of the insole). I see little wear on the boots. So today I bought a second pair of the same Danner boots (REI sale and member rewards) and plan to rotate usage of the two Danner pairs.

Obviously, very happy with these Danners.

Now Semi Retired, after 35 years as a union carpenter, requiring an EXPENSIVE, durable heavy leather, steel shank n toed benchmade boots, these are a great boot and a pleasure to wear. I have always had an aversion to Imported footwear so this, although an import, has been done RIGHT by Danner.

(as well as their country of choice. Vietnamese are CLEARLY quality oriented and proud of their products) This is the first time I have ever strayed from a U. S. A. made Danner to their Import line, Lightweight and great color choices for this line.

I also love the fact of how they tell you the difference between the total U. S. made boots VS the mid range boots described, as U. S. Made with imported materials VS the total import. I like to keep our republic employed as much as humanly possible.

I switched to Danner from Wolverine Boot Co. 20 years ago, due to Wolverine steering their production to 100% Chinese, of which I had already dropped any full blown China tagging on any product for 5 years by that time.

I don’t like their unfair and undermining trade policies or sub standard product quality overall. Other FAIR traders in Asia, produce FAR better quality. Wolverine showed me the light in their product when they switched and I couldn’t get 3 months wear out of my preference of boot that I normally would get 9 months to a year out of.

These seem great so far! They look amazing, seem sturdy and comfortable. I’m surprised no one has said this. The hooks on the boots tend to catch the shoe lace on your opposite foot and cause you to trip and fall.

I just got the boots today and have only been wearing them around the house to break them in and it has already happened 3 times in 2 hours. I can see this being annoying, stressful and dangerous on a walk or a hike.

I am in my 20s so I can see this being even worse for an older person. I’m almost nervous to take them hiking next week. I have crimped the hook in as much as possible and tied my laces as short as possible, I really hope this solves it.

I didn’t want to take off too many stars because it’s not just Danner boots, it’s all boots with hooks. I googled the problem looking for a way to fix it and read several stories of people unexpectedly falling and breaking teeth and bones due to these type of boots and there is even a campaign to get these type of boots banned.

I guess it’s more of a problem if you have a narrow gait but I don’t even think that I do. The hooks are designed to latch on to things and they will snag on to things and trip you so fast you won’t even know what happened.

Just wanted to put that out there so people can be aware because I wish someone had told me before I bought them!.

These shoes are a perfect fit. I used a chart online that translates foot tracing measurements to shoe size and width. Did twice, two days apart, sort of a measure twice correct size once fit. Boots are very well built with great stitching and fine heavy leather.

I have just used them in North Dakota’s first snow storm and my feet stayed toasty. The insulation is light but top notch. I am going to use these boots also as ski boots in universal bindings for cross country skiing.

These are definitely 5 star value boots for a wide range of uses. I sorely wish I would have had these boots in the U. S. Marine Corps instead of the big rubber Mickey Mouse boots for use in cold weather training.

I believe they will be good to about -40 degrees. It gets that temp here in the northern plains on occasion. Danner, outstanding job!!.

In 2013, I had started working as a security shift supervisor for a college in Toronto and most of my duties kept me out side in all kinds of weather, traipsing through all kinds of muck, man made or otherwise, for 12+ hours a shift.

After going through several pairs of all the usual suspects in the tac-boot world and being mostly unsatisfied with the results, I happened upon this lonely pair of Acadias at my local outfitter and decided on a whim to give them a try.

Am I ever glad I did; the Danner Acadias were simply the best choice I have ever made for foot wear. Comfort, durability, ease of cleaning, weather resistant, all my must have boxes were checked. Non-marking soles were quiet on tile floors, gravel and pavement.

The water resistance is good all the way up to the cuff of the boot, and even at only 200g of thinsulate, were excellent in all but the worst of Canadian winter days. They were also light enough for daily wear in the summer, even on 100F days.

Yes, it could cause some sweating but I never had any issue. The combination of thin wool socks and an exceptional fit never left me with blisters. I know Danner offers a re-treading service and its good peace of mind to have that available, but in the eight plus years of hard use, not once have I needed to use it.

I’ve since left the security industry, but I still wear my Acadias regularly. I swear by them. My only gripe is not being able to get the composite toe version CSA certified. Would love to have a pair for my current gig.

I finally treated myself to 200g Acadia boots after 20 years of policing. I work in a region of Canada where the temperatures range from -35 degree C (-31 F) to about 40 degree C (104 F). We get a lot a sleet and snow.

These boots keep my feet comfortable in all conditions. I can hardly believe it. My feet are never tired of wearing them after 12 plus hours on shift. I’m a Canadian but I actually get excited to by something made in Canada or the U.

S. Too much of our manufacturing has left North America with poor quality to show for it. Fantastic quality here. Too much throw away garbage out there these days. I don’t mind spending the extra money on a product I can resole and keep in use for years to come.

These are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. I got the vegan one’s because my gf’s vegan and I like to support her whenever I can, even though I’m not vegan just yet. I still wear these as like my go to boots whenever I know I’m gonna be walking/standing for a while.

I would wear these back to back everyday for my eight hour shifts at my job, where I stood like 95% of the time. Compared to regular shoes or other boots I have, these are a world of difference. If you want sturdy, reliable, COMFORTABLE boots, I HIGHLY recommend these.

I don’t own any other Blundstone boots, but I can tell you now that based off of the experience I’ve had with these boots in the like 4 month’s I’ve had these, I will be buying from them again. As of right now, there are limited options as far as the vegan boots go, so that’s the only real downside, but as soon as they release more vegan styles I can tell you I’m buying a pair.

Also, they are super easy to clean. I like to work on my Harley and I’ve been getting gas, oil, dirt, mud etc. all over them. I really just wipe them down and they look good as new! Of course I have the black ones so that stuff will show up less… but nonetheless they still look good.

I also got a half size bigger since I didn’t really know what size I should get and you can tell that they run very true to size. Personally I think the extra half size contributes to the comfortability of the boot, however, I do tend to wear shoes a half size bigger.

Do with that information what you will. 10/10! Great boots.

I usually wear a U. S. size 7. 5 and got the size 5 (UK) in the Rustic Brown boots. I bought these to wear for work and hiking. But I’d say they’re better for walking around town and have great traction, but the ankle area is not supportive/sturdy enough for hiking.

They definitely needed to be broken in – the back of the boots pressed into my leg right below my calves when I first started wearing them. It hurt so bad for a good week, but I toughed it out and then for a month I wore them every single day and they were perfect.

But a couple of weeks ago a deep crease formed only on the right boot, right above my heel (Achilles tendon area). It’s so incredibly painful to walk in the right boot now. My Achilles tendon is swollen and bruised from the deep crease pushing into it every step I make.

Meanwhile the left boot is completely comfortable with no deep crease in that location. This was after only 1 month of wear. One would think that a $200 pair of boots would be a bit sturdier and better constructed to not bend so much after 1 month of wear.

I’ve never had this occur before with one boot getting a crease so deep I couldn’t walk because of the pain. Blundstone wouldn’t replace the one boot as they deemed it normal and I can’t return them for a refund because I wore them.

Unfortunately Blundstone’s product isn’t sturdy or worth the hype.

This was my first pair of Blundstones. I had to read a ton of reviews to try and deduce the sizing. I think that when I purchased mine, the US sizes in Mens and Women’s was shown, whereas some of the previous reviewers purchased these boots when the AUS size was shown! I normally wear a Women’s US size 7 shoe and have wider feet.

I chose the dress model over the regular one as it is apparently a wider fit with the chisel toe. I selected Women’s US 6. 5 after reading about how these fit larger, and that the half sizes only made the boot slightly wider, not longer.

So far I am very happy with them. They are pretty comfortable for me straight out of the box, not too tight, though no doubt they will become every more comfortable as they are worn in. It is a bit difficult to get my foot into the boot, this too should get easier as they stretch out a bit, I use the back loop which helps a lot.

Overall I’m happy so far. I haven’t worn them out in the rain yet so I’m hoping they will keep my feet dry in rainy BC too!.

Comfortable and stylish boots. A tad on the chunky side but they are hiking boots. Slightly stiff from the get go but wear in quickly. Few hour walks are no problem and since they are leather a bit of maintenance every once in awhile will only add to their longevity.

If you are looking for a nice solid hiking boot, I’d reccomend these ones.

These are definitely men’s size 8 – yes, they are also a 10 for women, but women have finer bones and differently-proportioned feet. Do you think women don’t deserve hiking boots of their own? They’re the right length, but my feet swam in them.

So I added an insert that adds needed padding and makes them fit fine with socks.

I bought the womens version of these boots on the recommendation of my husband. The ladies seem to have the same features, tailored to fit. The boot is roomy, I bought my exact shoe size hoping that as other reviews have said that this would give me room for thick socks and that is the case.

It has taken me about a week to be able to tie the boot to fit my feet properly, as they are a little stiff at the start. I have been using them to walk three miles every day, and have found that they are getting more comfortable every day.

I would recommend them, especially at half the retail price that I was able to purchase them.

I’ve been in business 10 years guiding here in Sedona and I’ve only used Simms boots. I’ve used most every line they have to offer and these are hands down my favorites. We have serious boulder terrain here in town so its tough on a pair of boots.

These hold up, they’re extremely comfortable right out of the box and offer the best ankle support I can find. I will certainly continue to use these G3s as long as Simms continues to make them. Killer boots.

There boots fit well. I have always had a problem with boots bruising the outside of my ankle when I walk in them for an extended period. These were no exception With extra padding they have done well.

The medal D rings to attach the gravel guard clip to is placed about one islet to far toward the top of the boot. I have to use the lace as with other boots. These are minor issues but might be improved in future models.

Overall I have been very satisfied with the boots and would recommend them to others.

I came across Sutro in 2018, buying the first pair for my now future son-in-law. He loved them and he still wears them and they still look great. I got both a pair of the men’s alder Vibrem for my daughter and I, they look great.

( I was worried the men’s size would not fit but they did perfectly) I always get compliments on my Sutro boots, both my men’s alder and my Mendelle boots. I love that these are unique and have timeless look.

When I put these on for the first time, one of the Boa cable ends came out of the ratchet. Wasn’t happy, but made it work on the four day trip I was on in the remote Maine woods. On the last day, the other side of the cable came free when taking them off.

In researching this, I noticed Boa guarantees this – they don’t even charge shipping. They also give you two, so one can be a spare. It’s easy to replace with the provided instructions. Clearly these were not installed correctly the first time.

After I installed the replacement laces, I pulled very hard and they held just fine. Also, I have the size 10 which is the largest size with the 100 cm laces. These are probably too short for these boots.

The opening is tight when fully extended and I take a size 9 with all other shoes. If I order again, I’ll get the 110 cm laces.

After a less than stellar pair of wading boots, these restored my faith in Simms BOA technology. The felt with studs sticks to any and every river bottom. Comfortable to walk in, as far as you need to get away from the competition.

After one season, they show very little wear. As a guide, I often have to hop back and forth between guests, and these boots give me the confidence to do it safely and fast. The BOA system makes putting on and removing them a snap.

I will say these are the best wading boots I have owned in the 45+ years I have been fly fishing. Do yourself a favor and get a pair.

Bought a pair of these a couple years ago. Love the boa lacing. Fist pair were vibram. Hated the traction, loved the boa lacing system. Bought the felt bottomed boots. Never going back to regular laces! Btw, mrfc may be the best etailer on earth.

Had an issue with the last pair. Simms did not address the matter but mrfc did. Been saying it for years – mrfc is maybe the best online retailer in the country!.

I’ve heard Danner quality has gone down since the early days. Especially with living Southern Oregon, Danner has reigned supreme I. This territory with only stiff competition coming from Nicks Handmade, and Whites.

I bought these boots at Boot Barn because I was desperately tired of wearing tennis shoes while moving furniture that weighed in excess of 100-350+ lbs. Those were 12 hour+ days, 5 days a week, with usually 10-12 stops a day building and moving furniture.

Wearing tennis shoes nearly crippled me. Until I bought the Quarry series. These boots saved my back and I only wished I could’ve bought them sooner. I love love love the gore-tex liner inside. They kept my feet feeling fresh and I’ve stepped in about 5 inch puddles of water without any water getting in.

Now I work in EMS and Fire. The Vibram sole is wonderful for not worrying about stepping on needles, or stepping on warm coals. (Not NFPA rated). I really put these boots to the limit and need to clean at least once a month.

Surprisingly, the white stitching is still white, but not WHITE like out the box. My only gripe(s) is the outside could really benefit from being roughout texture. The toe cap is really chewed up compared to the smooth texture of the rest of the boot.

Lastly, the exposed stitching on the sole does have a tendency to collect dirt, oil, blood, or whatever you may happen to find yourself in. Not really much of a gripe perse’, but just a heads up.

I purchased these boots as a replacement for my decade-plus-old work boots which finally bit the dust when their sole began separating and coming unglued (used while working as a ranch hand and more recently primarily for snow shoveling).

The Goodyear welt style construction (“recraftable” as Danner calls it) was a major part of the appeal to me for these Danner boots and that they come with a Vibram sole. The craftsmanship seems solid (stitching, lace hooks, sole thickness) and I was easily able to swap in my favorite insoles for the thin, plain, ones they came with.

I have a slightly wide foot and the fit was a little roomy before I swapped my insole, fit feels just right with some of the volume taken up by my insoles. In the past, I’d always treated my leather boots with waterproofing but opted not to with these since they have the built-in GORE-TEX liner.

So far they seem to keep moisture out well (but I haven’t taken them through any puddles, streams, or rain, just snow). The tongue is a bit cumbersome when lacing them up but that’s the tradeoff which comes with it being attached well above ankle height to keep moisture etc.

out AND leaving plenty of room for easy on/off. So, it’s worth it. The one big question mark for me is the leather’s durability. When researching this boot I did see a number of reviews complaining of weak leather/premature wear of the toe.

It’s tough for me to say for sure but it does seem like to leather is softer than I’d like (might be fine and I’m just biased due to the reviews I read). No unnecessary wearing of the leather for me yet though.

So, time will tell on the leather’s quality/durability. Overall, I’m happy with these boots and they seem like a worthwhile purchase. Fingers crossed the toe leather doesn’t end up being a weak point and I’m able to get many years and at least a couple resoles out of them!.

I bought a pair of quarry ten yrs ago, they were 5star boots. Comfortable and the waffle non slip traction. i wore them til the sole was half way off one of them. And then put it back together with drywall screws.

and decided it was time for a new pair of quarry, I’ve had them for over a year now and their the most uncomfortable boots I have ever owned, and the tread on the new ones is a joke unless you like to slip and fall.

The old quarry worth every penny , the new quarry I wouldn’t give ten bucks for. When ya got somethimg that works really good don’t try to make it better (or fix it ) cause ya could really screw it up like they did here.

i won’t be buying danners again. Save your money. And to the person that made the decision to change them ,I got 2 size 13s special delivery for your backside.

Description says shell and lining are leather. Not so, the shell is some form of synthetic material. You can easily tell by the heel pull tab on the back of the boot. It should be suede but it’s fabric.

There are also other things like the collar is embossed and bad faux leather texture. The lining is leather, so they got half the boot right. I have other Scarpa’s like the Kaliash and can’t figure out why they did this.

Maybe it’s some sort of recycled product but should be transparent. I’m returning them even though I got them at a great sale price.

und damals waren die sog. bergschuhe eher “heavy-dinger. ” ausserdem sind sie ein “echter hingucker” – ich bin echt noch nie so oft bzgl. schuhe/bekleidung+co. auf dieses paar schuhe von fremden menschen angesprochen worden (echt!!).

leider gibt es sie nicht mehr in meiner grösse. deshalb hab ich meiner frau ein weiteres paar besorgt – wir beider haben uns vor jahren die scarpa primitve gekauft (unisex. ;))).
