20 Best Vibrating Alarm Watch (2022 Updated)

With smartphones being ubiquitous now, watches aren’t tools as much as they are fashion statements. And a classic calculator watch makes the coolest statement without shouting. Who knows how long Casio will still make these awesome watches, but get one before they are gone! The display is clear and easy to read, but there’s no backlight.

Setting the time is dead simple, just press the recessed button and then use the calculator’s number keys to enter time, date, etc. Beware, there is a negative display version (characters grey, screen black) which looks very cool – but is more difficult to read unless your in a well lit area.

Good – Classic charming and actually useful calculator watch! Cons – No back light. But even this is an advantage, because the battery will last years, probably decades!.

If you sent this watch back in time, at least 3 things would happen without doubt. First, it would survive to today, which is why it exists anyway. Secondly, it’s so well designed in merely STYLE ALONE that it would indubitably spur on the contrivances of everyday life in the jurassic period to continue on without any interruption of the flow and passage of time (or infliction against eBays community standards policy).

Possibly this is due to the quartz crystal inside, or due to the sheer visual pungent ness it exhibits whilst strapped to your life execution extremity. It must be added that this watch is nearly 100% waterproof, baby proof, life proof, except for lens scratching – just wear it on the inside of your wrist.

Lightweight, forget about it when you need to do dishes but remember it when you need to make a quick calculation, be woken up at any time by 20 consecutive beeps, time a lap around the track or even tell you when you need to check your pot roast by countdown.

Thirdly, if somehow you were to ever find this watch still on your wrist after traveling through a black hole, it would likely still be intact to wake you up for your 9-5 desk job. Welcome to the Matrix, Neo – yes, this gadget is the only true love your arm will ever need.

EDIT 2/1/2019: This watch has survived a (multiple) trip(s) through the washing machine (attached pic related – taken just after being thoroughly cleaned). Once in a while the band will pop off due to a lot of stress, but it is simple enough to pop it back into place.

Alas, most good things end. Biggest issue faced in the true, non-time-jumping reality of the Matrix with this watch is that of the rubber band itself ripping after it gets too worn out. I simply buy another one at this point, but I’ve considered replacing it with a metal band because the calculator is hard to live without.

The rubber buttons can also get ripped off if you are careless with it. Just. Avoid that.

Every decade or three I buy an inexpensive Casio watch that is low profile, that I could likely swim in, and that I don’t have to worry if I ruin it. I just bought the exact same watch again since it meets all my criteria.

My old one looked exactly the same, but it was gray, not with orange trim that this purchase was. After maybe 20 years of use and abuse, the old one lost about 1-2 seconds a week, so I bought the same one again to replace it.

I use it for sailboat races so it gets wet occasionally and banged up a lot. I love it and won’t cry if I need to spend another 20 bucks to replace it again.

Casio upholds its reputation for squeezing a large number of functions into one wristwatch, and at an extraordinary price. The watch is sporty but very sturdy. It comes with a rather daunting user’s guide, but the operation is actually quite simple and, once you get the basic principles, almost intuitive.

Phenomenal value and quality; you can’t really go wrong with this supremely functional watch.

You’re not going to find a better watch for the price. This is loaded with features, but my favorite is the vibration alarm. The vibration alarm is great if you’re needing an alarm in a noisy area (concert, sporting event, etc), or in a very quiet area (library, class, etc).

Another great advantage of this watch is the battery life. TEN YEARS! I’ve had mine for a little over 4 years and haven’t had any problems with it. Sun, rain, snow, ice, shower, pool, ocean. no problems at all.

I’ve gone through 4 G-Shocks over the years. The band on my current one needed to be replaced and I figured it would be a better value to purchase this watch. It works as well or better than the previous watches and is significantly thinner.

The value cannot be beat.

I got this solely for the vibrating alarm. It has worked like a champ. The watch is far more comfortable than I expected; super lightweight with plenty of adjustment in the band. I do not see this as a stylish watch, but rather a serious tool watch.

Despite not having the bullet proof attributes of the G-Shock, I reckon this will stand up to whatever I throw at it. The cost for features ratio is simply amazing. Buy it if you want a tough, reliable, full of horological history tool watch with a vibrating alrum.

I have had this model watch for at least two years. I’m this time I have used it specifically in my occupation within the mining industry. I work in a processing area which is dirty and noisy. I rely on the vibration on the timer function for various tasks that are to be within a certain duration.

Sound activated alarms on a watch are not audible. This watch has proved to be durable and above all practical for my job. I have purchased another watch of the same type as a back up. I am surprised as to how long my first vibration alarm watch has lasted and at some stage at least the battery will fail.

Hence the back up. I highly recommend this hardy watch especially for situations where this type of alarm is appropriate.

This is my second such watch. As much as I like it the band wore out much too quickly and was expensive to replace. I therefore bought this second one and am going very easy on the wristband.

It’s a cool watch that looks great in purple. The purple colour is darker than appears in the photos and to my eyes, that looks even better. Typical Casio quality as would be expected with a very bright back light.

The vibration alarm works very well and it was easy to set up. In my opinion this is a great G-Shock alternative if you’re not willing to spend that kind of money. It’s rugged and looks very good. Parcel arrived quickly and without any troubles.

My first binocular was a 7X35. I bought it because it was the most common binocular type back in the 60’s and 70’s. The 7X35 was also the standard US ARMY issue type –at least in my outfit, an infantry and tank battalion.

Once out of service I bought a low end 7X35. It performed well — for many years. As my interest in binoculars grew I acquired more powerful types. With more power came more limitations: too shaky to hold, and a narrower field of view.

Finally, I have come full circle and decided the best all around binocular is a 7X35. I still have my old low end 7X35 binoculars but this time I wanted a high quality brand just to see if there was a difference.

I was lucky to win the bid on a Swift Aerolite 735H (7×35) Binocular. It was clean and remarkably clear. A pleasure to hold and carry in the field. I gave it a minor and careful lubrication to make it work as smoothly as it did 30 years ago when it was new.

What a pleasure to own such a timepiece! The optics were made in Japan, when optics made in that country were the gold standard of the world. The Brand SWIFT is known for its crystal clear optics and this pair is no exception.

No eye strain here! I can use these binoculars easily with or without eyeglasses. At first I thought the short eye relief of only 10MM might be a problem for use with eyeglasses –but it is not. The diopiter is 5MM.

This allows for easy viewing in low light situations. The field of view is HUGE! My pair is 525 feet at 1,000 yards. Since this model is still in production 30+ years later I have noticed the field of view has changed on some models own to 499 feet at 1,000 yards — a minor difference.

This model is not waterproof. If you want a superior quality general use binocular for birdwatching, spectator sports, vacations or hiking I highly recommend the Swift Aerolite 735H (7×35) Binocular.

I HIGHLY recommend these binoculars!.

The watch isn’t white as you might expect but more of a subtle gray.

I’ve been coffee connoisseur over 32 yrs (for my own taste of course) – why – that’s when I found sobriety – someone early on introduced me to imported whole bean coffee – gourmet coffee, my taste again, has been a special thing I indulge in daily without fail.

My routine – fresh ground/brewed, whipping cream I buy by the quart, and artificial sweetener. Have modified cream options, and sweeteners to save calories, cost – go back to original – I’m worth it as they say.

The only thing that has changed over the years are various coffee makers I’ve tried/used – from simple to most complex, counter or under cabinet. Have to say this is best/nicest I’ve used so far. Here’s why.

Sleek/attractive, black/stainless hard combo to beat for wipe down keep clean. Counter footprint 8″W x 10″D x 13″ H. Is relatively/very light weight since no heating element in the base, no counter heat up while in use, brew hot – coffee goes directly into Thermal Carafe.

Carafe stays cool to touch – switch from all previous models that had glass carafes – always conscious of being hot before – nice benefit. I do out of habit pull out from wall – just to keep eye on – haven’t noticed any steam coming from unit while brewing – took 10 minutes to brew full pot (12 cup) – regular brew, options include 1-4cup – information brochure quite complete for all taste, measuring, hints, storage, etc.

One thing I missed – went right to using without instructions – they do suggest filling carafe with spigot hot water for a few minutes just to “pre-warm” the inside. Though didn’t do – coffee was still steaming when going back for my 2nd – 4cup large mug fill up after 4 hours.

I would rate taste/flavor/quality superb for use so far – guess I’m the only one that can mess up – if an error made. This new model replaced a super basement bottom featured model – am retired – looked just for reliability, quality, counter footprint – ease of filling.

I keep/kept my coffee units to left of my kitchen sink – have pull out spigot – this model, as previous ones, have side clear fill side on right side so can just fill right from spigot. An added feature if stars align.

Otherwise just use carafe to fill from tap and into unit. Auto turn off after cycle runs – nice safety feature, while keeping coffee hot, not good to keep on warmer plate for any length of time since change flavor even if ever so slightly – sure one notices if gets the last cup out of a carafe that has been setting on warm for hours – turns bitter.

Lots of programmable features, clearly defined when/how to use in brochure. Clock keeps extremely accurate time – to all others in house. Control panel offers “Fresh Brew Timer” – how long its been since the cycle completed.

When I worked – would always pre program start brew time so ready when I got up – always started day early – still do – since only 10 minutes to run cycle – just push “on” button when get up – I do “pre-load” my coffee set up after I’ve finished my coffee for the morning – pre-grind coffee beans, place in coffee filter, fill up unit base to 10 cups water line, close lid, push back against wall til next day – pull out to start again next day/time.

Regular time and “Auto Brew Time” (up to 24 hour timer) easy to set. If power interrupted, time and Auto Brew will both need to be reset. There is a Brew Strength option, regular, strong, bold. To each his own on this one – have always done regular – since drink 10-12 cups in caffeine liquid daily.

Saw an article that caffeine stays in the system for 8-12 hours after drinking depending on strength – since like to have my system clear of caffeine at night – limit it only to morning hours. Passed that along since saw on reliable medical program on how to improve sleep – never heard the specific factoid before – though did know caffeine affects body systems/nerves.

Most people have their own preference for coffee – and just appreciate subtle quality changes as their palates improve. This is a great starter unit for anyone just getting into drinking coffee, or one who has found their own passion level for coffee.

Like pre-grind to whole bean – whipping cream for smoothness – what a difference!!! PS – Coffee Grinders can be purchase for a relatively small amount – about 4″W x 8″H. My very 1st one 32 yrs ago was a spice grinder – things have come a long way!!!.

Solid watch. The Bluetooth is novel and fun to watch, connection to phone was easy. The phone finder is great and keeps you from having to ask “Can you call my phone?” if you misplace it. (Who are you kidding, anyway? You know the ringer is silenced.

) Feels substantial on your wrist without feeling heavy, and it looks like it costs more than it does. Fit and finish are top notch. Great everyday bang around watch with some style.

Finally received the watch at the second time of asking. Had originally purchased at the sale price of £92. With and extra 20% off in the January sale brought the price down to around £75. Happy days, press the button to confirm the transaction.

Low an behold, a few days later I receive an email from H. Samuel informing me that my order had been cancelled as the watch was no longer in stock. As you can imagine, I was very disappointed as the transaction had already gone through.

2 days later I look on the website to find that the same watch is back on sale at £249. 99. Now I am very angry as it looked like H. Samuel had pulled a fast one and wanted to make more money from a pricing error.

About a week later the watch is back on for £124. 99. With 20% off brought it down to around £100 which is still £25 more than I should have originally paid. All I can say is be wary of H. Samuel as they are not completely ethical when it come to business.

Other than that, very happy with the watch. end of rant!.

Great feel on wrist. Lightweight and comfortable. But the “inverted display” is very difficult to read. Have to constantly tilt wrist to get the numerals to show and be ‘readable’. The light numerals on a dark background not a good idea.

The opposite as is on the black case/wristband units of the same watch much easier to read. Otherwise its a nice watch. BTW, Im 68 and my eyesight aint what it once was. Old style on left and new blue watch on right in below pic.

Compared to my other Casios (A168, F-91W) , this little piece is extremely accurate. It never loses even a second, it is always in synch with the exact internet time. I only had to set it once, at the beginning.

Stop watch, second time zone and calculator could be handy sometimes. You have to have small hands and fingers if you want to push its buttons, they are really small. No backlight, which is a little pain.

But hey, for that price, it is really not fair complaining about anything. It is plastic, full of tiny buttons, 80s retro style all over the place. So much fun with this little guy! :-).

I really liked the look of the green version but wasn’t keen on the negative display so bought the black version as well & swapped the modules to create my perfect CA-53W, green with a positive display.

This replaced my DBC-32 which I enjoyed but just isn’t as cool & comfortable as this. A lack of backlight is the only real negative but it’s so cute & cool you let it off anyway.

Lovely watch, well constructed. Had been keeping an eye on this particular model at a shop where I live, but it was too pricey. Then the shop went & increased the price in the window. I looked online for the same model, found H.

S. Johnson website, & was delighted to see it was £28 cheaper than the best price elsewhere – & it was in stock! Sent off for it & had the watch on my wrist within 2 days. I did my own strap adjustment as I had the right tools, but H.

S. Johnson would have done this for me if I’d given my wrist measurement. I cannot fault the service.

Beware this coffee maker has been the demise of my morning routine every morning when I pour myself a cup of coffee the coffee ends up all over my counter and floorI have tried several techniques thinking I could out smart the coffee pot.

I bought this coffee pot because members of my family owned it and were satisfied with the performance. But after I received my coffee pot I asked them if they had an issue with the pot and they then told that they did.

I have come to realize that there is something wrong with design of the spout. I am long time coffee drinker and have never had to wash my floor and countertops after each time I pour myself a cup of coffee.

I have contemplated changing the color of my flooring to match the color of the coffee drips. Needless to say I am not happy with my purchase I am currently shopping for a new pot it will not be Black Decker Drippy Joe.

She originally had a knock off that was purchased overseas at a market. She loved that $20 watch. Long story short. She lost it swimming. So I found these online. Brought her one and she said the difference between genuine and replica is easy to tell now she has the real one.

And still $80 cheaper than the local store. Thanks guys.

Without the dual illuminator option the watch is hardly visible in a dark setting. Casio is good at making the dial colorful in its pictures online but in person its very dull and other then the hands its pretty much just black.

one nice feature is that the stopwatch will go for hours unlike most watches that only go for 60 minutes.

Bought it for my son. My wife and I both have g-shock watches and love them. This is a big watch, know that before you buy it. But it’s great. Typical of these watches it appears to be nearly indestructible.

The light is amazing. In a really dark room you can actually use it as a tiny flash light to navigate the room. I’m really pleased.

I use this watch every day and it is the best I have had. I haven’t taken it off for about a year and it hasn’t broken.

Canada custom charged me 45 bucks. But still love it.

I love this watch. It is one of my favorites. It is a metal Gshock for everyone. Typically Gshocks are huge and unwieldy. This is one of the smallest and thinnest Gshocks out there but it retains the technical look that made Gshocks famous.

Even better it is made of lots of metal parts mixed with carbon-resin material to keep it softer on the wrist while retaining shock absorption properties. It has solar, Bluetooth sync (for accurate time and semi-smart functions), dual time zone, alarms, etc.

What else do you need in a watch? One minor con: the metal indexes are blackened so it’s a bit hard to see them. It completes the look. I wish they lumed the white paint. That would make this watch perfect.

This is a good-looking and robust watch, but it is not perfect. One of the reasons I chose an analogue watch was due to failing eyesight, but there are issues with the lack of contrast with the hands on this model.

In low light conditions, the watch can be difficult to read. In darkness, it is also problematic to use the light because it causes the 6 numeral to glow so bright that it is impossible to see the hands.

The world time abbreviations are impossible to read and should have been backed up by the abbreviations appearing on the digital display, something that would have been easily achieved. £699 is a lot of money that is hard to read and essentially needs more development.

I may have chosen a different watch with the benefit of hindsight. If I could, I would change out the hands for a more contrasting colour.
