20 Best Vibrating Foam Roller (2022 Updated)

I recently purchased this foam roller to help my Husband and I for our aches and pains. My Husband suffers from hip pain and a foam roller was recommended to relieve his pain. Upon receiving the roller he was able to place the roller on our hardwood floor and roll his hip easily back and forth.

This worked better than a normal massage because it allowed him to use him own body weight to apply pressure and roll. The ripples are sturdy and did not cave in while rolling. They glided down his hip, massaging different areas.

I was able to use this for my lower back pain. We both felt a level of relief from using the roller. It also stores well due to it being able to stand on its side. This item is recommended for anyone in the market for a sturdy foam roller.

This is my very first roller purchase. I used one from the gym few times. First order came fast. Love the color, design, texture and sturdiness of this roller. This roller is made well and it is going to last.

Hello, I’ve owned this EXACT roller for about 3 – 4 years now and I got it at TJ MAXX, haha, no kidding. It was being sold there for like $12 so please don’t feel like you gotta buy it here at this highly marked up price.

Is it a great roller? Yes, absolutely. Does that mean you have to pay $37 for it? Nope! Now whether or not your local TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or Ross has one of these in stock is up to you to investigate.

Like I said, this was a few years ago; but I encourage you to check them out before purchasing it here. Normally I wouldn’t “out” a company because it’d be rude to potentially take a sale away from them but right now times are tough and everything is so expensive, it’d be morally wrong for me to stay silent.

I ordered both the orange regular Grid roller and the Grid X to compare stiffness and I ended up keeping the Grid X only. I found the regular Grid roller to be almost as soft as my old blue foam roller (but the Grid is much better quality).

The Grid X is stiff enough to massage the bigger muscle groups (calf, back). It does not hurt more because it is stiffer (this actually depends on the level of pressure applied, not on roller stiffness).

I find it much easier to use and more effective than a softer roller. I’m very satisfied with this roller and I appreciate the grid pattern.

I bought this for my daughter in law who grabs my roller to use whenever she comes to visit. She loves this foam roller. It’s long enough and has a touch of give on the surface. She’s got back injuries from long ago gymnastics.

She rolls on it frequently to release the tensions. Her daughters love it too. Great purchase.

When I bought this item, I had just been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. My back was in such an angry state of pain that the mere thought of lying on a hard roller was literally unbearable. I could see before I bought it that this roller was kind of “squishy”.

I reasoned that it would be less uncomfortable than a completely rigid roller, such as SPRI or Prosource make. Boy, was I wrong! This “roller”, simply stated, does not roll! It squishes flat underneath my torso and only grudgingly rolls at all with exertion of the greatest possible effort.

If I use it on a hard surface, like the laminate floors in my home, it simply skids across the floor. If I use it on a resilient surface, such as a carpet or exercise mat, it grips the ground enough to roll just a bit when I push as hard as I can with my legs.

Admittedly, I’m not a small man. I stand 6′-6″ tall and weigh about 250#. I suppose that one could argue that I simply squish the poor thing flat and leave it at that. However, I have used those other manufacturers’ foam rollers–like Champion, Voit, SPRI and Prosource–and they don’t squish flat.

They roll effortlessly across the floor. This includes the ones with little spiky things protruding from their surfaces, like massage fingers or ridges. Those ones accomplish the “comfort from resilience” that I was trying to derive from this one’s initial squishiness–without sacrificing their ease and efficacy of use.

I have lower back tension/some degenerative arthritis. Some sciatica/leg/knee issues due to the tension. Things are just out of whack. I bought this at a health food store last week and it was the BEST 25.

00 I have ever spent. First it popped my back and put some things back into alignment just laying on it. Then I worked it down to my lower back. Was doing leg lifts with my lower back/buttocks resting on it.

I ain’t gonna lie. When you have sore muscles and tension, your body weight on this and other similar products they sell hurts. You just have to breath through it. I used this on my lower back for two days and immediately noticed a difference in tension and ability to not walk like a crippled 90 year old.

(actually noticed it after the first use). I have yet to try the instructional/exercise DVD that came with it, but plan to. With this sale, I just purchased another to keep at the office and one with the ripples to see if it does anything different.

If you have it and it hurts, don’t give up. Breath through it. I am overweight and not in shape.

I needed a half roller for mobility and physical rehab work- I thought I would prefer the stiff one but this is actually perfect. It’s not too hard on my spine- but which has had a few recent surgeries & procedures done on it.

But it’s stable enough I don’t feel it’ll lose it’s shape soon. I took one star off because I do feel that this is overpriced. I waited for a sale, but your guys sales aren’t very good. discounts don’t take off much.

Which is sucky for someone disabled and unable to work but trying to work to be strong enough to. Also took the star off because the foam came with a crack in it- tho it’s not terrible. All in all, it rly is a great purchase! Just have to store it well so it won’t get battered quickly! Hope it lasts!.

Let me start with the question I answered no. I said it is not a good value because I believe it is overpriced. This is just foam. It likely cost less than $5 to manufacture. That said, I must admit it is a good quality product and would still recommend it to anyone that would benefit from using a foam roller.

Shipped in a reasonable amount of time given current circumstances. Product came exactly as described. Great size and firmness unlike many others I have tried that “give” as you try to roll out your kinks in your upper back.

I was excited at first. Did not do my research. In my opinion this foam roller is way to hard. The first two speeds are very low. I ended up using it for a day before realizing the same one is on Amazon for $32.

Not saying it is a bad foam roller just not the one for me and when it’s more than half the price on Amazon. Research a better deal before purchasing the “Trigger Point” foam roller.

This is the original/old version of the vibe, and seems to work better than the current/new version because it’s vibrations are stronger. I also like that it uses a standard usb port for charging. It has only one speed.

The newer version has 4 speeds, but the vibrations are weaker. The new version also has a proprietary charger, easy to lose. I prefer the original vibe roller, so hunted on ebay for it, since it’s no longer available in stores.

The TriggerPoint GRID vibe plus roller works a treat on lower back, thighs and sore muscles. Been using this once every few days to help with recovery after a run or a bike ride. I found the foam roller to be quite hard to start with but after a few sessions it’s easy to get use to.

The vibration feature is perfect with the three speeds, this way you can get the right amount of vibration to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Great product and would recommend any one to get one who is looking for something different to a standard roller.

I bought both the extra long regular and the short extra firm rollers. I use them daily for soft tissue foam rolling. I used to scoff at physical therapists, kinesiologists, and massage therapists when they told me how indispensable foam rolling was.

Then I discovered it for myself when I did the Thomas test and failed it on both sides. Despite lots of yoga and stretching, my psoas, hip flexors, and anterior leg muscles were still not mobile enough for me to progress in my squats.

And I’m pretty flexible and mobile in general! After a week of sessions using both of my RumbleRollers, I have more mobility than months of stretching gave me, and my squat is unstuck and finally progressing at a good rate.

The other body parts that I regularly foam roll are the thoracic spine and shoulder capsule/rotator cuff muscles. These are very important for progressing in presses and squats, as well. These RumbleRollers ended up turning out to be the best investments in my home gym.

This is the only foam roller I will even bother rolling on. This design and durability is nothing short of perfection. I have 2, one for home and one for travel. I’ve had the same one for 6 years and it has zero signs of wear anywhere after 6 years daily use.

This Rumble Roller is truly amazing! My first day with it used it up against the wall so it wouldnt hurt so much as everyone said and imedietly my back cracked in a good healthy way and I felt such relief! Then I used it on my bed laying onto it and yeah it hurt a little laying down on it but when you suffer chronic back pain from a buldging disc or sciatica or severe spinal stenosis like my Husband then a little pain feels good when it leads to pressure relief from trigger points.

It worked the same for my Husband we both Love it and will use it everyday, its our best friend. Especially when you get up from a session with it you feel incredible! Its like a sigh of relief and having a new body in better alignment after having the massage of the rumbles on the roller.

The roller is superb. Have owned same model but the dog chewed it up. BUT, SHIPPING was HORRENDOUS. It came in no box just exposed blue roller to all elements surfaces etc. the shipping label was stuck to the product label that fell off like a donut.

Can’t believe it actually made it to my house at all. There were some dirty areas but no abrasions to the blue surface. Would not order again from same company.

Just what i needed!!! Tried i version but with one hip higer then the other. Cant because it ended up hurting my ankle on the “shorter side†😓 Firm core prevents squishing but better like deep tissue massage because it will definatly find your oressure points! Lol ive struggled withbmuscle tension for years due to spinal problems and cutvatures.

I use this for many body parts including arms, legs, abs, neck and back, but mostly my back and IT bands. It has a hard inner core that does not allow the foam to compress over time. My sons and husband have used it and really love that it doesn’t “smoosh” down due to their weight.

Worth the price! The benefits are numerous. I have a couple of regular foam rollers, and while I tried to buy the hardest foam available at the time, they do not compare to this one.

My husband and I have both used the Power Plate Roller. We have used traditional foam rollers before, but the extra vibration aspect provides even greater therapeutic use. We have used in back, outer thighs, quads and calves to good effect.

I am a serious fan of this roller. I used to stretch my back and legs with regular rollers at the end of my training routines for many years back but since I have a Power Plate Roller, I am using it a few times a day specially to stretch my back every couple of hours as I tend to accumulate lots of tension while working.

I bought this (blue) roller as I had been using it a lot at my gym. It may look oversized, however that is one of the things that makes this roller so good – it allows a lot of movement to ensure you can get good muscle coverage without running out of roller.

It also enables double leg rolling, which is good for saving time, but also spreading pressure in instances where you don’t need such intense massage. It’s really long-lasting without any deterioration of the foam.

The blue is perfect for me – still lots of rigidity to hit deep tissue. Would recommend for those who regularly use foam rollers, and who want a medium-firm pressure without causing intense pain!.

I bought the Rumble Roller (Blue) because my body developed a tolerance with the smooth foam roller. When your body adapts to a certain foam roller its purpose becomes ineffective. The bumps on the Rumble Roller stimulate deeper layers of muscle and stretches your fascia more completely.

It provides concentrated pressure to effectively relieve trigger points and knots. My first session with my Rumble Roller was quite painful because my body was not used to the bumps. However, I did feel less sore from my workouts as the Rumble Roller stimulates blood flow to your fascia.

I suggest to roll very slow and when you feel pain or tenderness on a certain area of your body, keep the roller on that area. This will release the knot and loosen up your fascia. In the end, I am happy with my purchase and don’t see that I will ever need the extra firm Rumble Roller (Black).

The original blue Rumble Roller is built very sturdy and will permanently retain its shape and resiliency. I know it’s a very pricey investment but it is well worth it in the long run to keep yourself healthy!.

I bought this when on a great sale and it’s already paid for itself with the amount of relief I’ve received to my back. The first use out of the package was to place it under my lumbar and roll my back across it.

The first pass my back popped about 5 times, then 3, then 2, and on the fourth pass no more pops. Afterwards my back felt MUCH better. I think I’ve been trying to get those pops out for a couple of months now.

Yeah, it’s dense foam which doesn’t deform under the weight of my 200 lbs frame. It works (at least it does for me). It’s less expensive than one trip to the chiropractor. The only issue I’ve had so far is it does tend to roll up my shirt when I roll across it.

It would probably work better with no shirt or a really tight fitting shirt.

It is a nice, stiff foam roller. Not huge, but definitely can get into those spots you need it to. I use both it and a lacrosse ball for my shoulders and calves, then just this foam roller for back, chest, legs.

Looked like photo but it was harder than I thought it would be. I bought ir for an elderly relative who was unable to use it given how hard it was. He was afraid he could hurt himself using it. We both thought it would be softer.

I bought this for my girlfriend, as she wanted a smooth foam roller to stretch-out her back. She already had another, “bumpy” roller. I got the 18″ model, because it is wide enough, and yet not too long to become unwieldy or awkward to store.

The quality and finish of the foam seems top-notch. Of course it has a simple look, but it also cost less than other ones, and at the end of the day, it’s being used as a self-care instrument, not as a showpiece.

This is a nice roller but notably softer than the standard black ones. I would not call it firm, but compressible. There is some give which is good for many cases, but bad for cracking backs. It works well in conjunction with a harder roller.

Get if it’s you’re second one.

The high-density foam seems durable and will hopefully last for years to come. I really like the soft-textured surface – it’s definitely less intense than other textured surface foam rollers I’ve tried in the past.

It rolls well on flooring, carpeting and my yoga mat. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I have used foam rolling and other devices for years. The Rocker has three intensity to gradually progress in my self message. The locked position is great for the back, ITB, hip flexors, and TF. At the end of a long run I Rock.

Then my body can go into a full squat again. Great product.

My husband and I are loving this ROCKER. I first used it on my occipital area. I opened all of the areas just under the occiput and then moved onto my neck muscles and then slowly down my entire spine.

What a relief and open feeling! We’ve used it on our IT Band, calfs, quads. I feel like I have much greater control than other rollers and I love the ability to use the edge on this Rocker. It’s also small enough that I could pack when traveling.

I am disappointed in the Wave Duo. It is very pricey for such a tiny device. I was hoping that based on the shape it would be able to work areas that are difficult to work, especially the paraspinous muscles.

It is not able to however. It is very tiny and the two rounded ends are too close together to work on your back and yet at the same time not really useful for Legs either. I honestly do not get why they produced this product.

Main positives are small size that can fit in a gym bag and easy charging with decent motor for vibrations. I just do not think that the vibrations can be productively applied. I believe that you are much better off with regular foam roller or better yet a Theragun by the same folks.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband, fully intending to use it for myself, too. I’m so glad I did. It’s more cost effective than other Theragun products, and a great value. You can use it like a roller, but it also has the vibration features of other Theragun prodcuts.

The wave duo in particular is perfect for massaging your feet and neck (which is where we feel a lot of tension anyway). It’s also the perfect size for travel, which was ideal after a long day of flying.

I purchased all 3 of the vibrating devices. The reason for the three stars is the charging of the large foam roller, which I love, but, I had to send my first one back bc it stopped charging. If I pushed the charging plug in and held it, it charged.

The warranty department was great. Thinking the issue was with the plug, I spent even more money to get the docking station to charge the replacement foam roller. That worked great……until last night.

Now, when I place it on the charging dock, the dock does not light up to show it’s charging. I will need to contact them again, and I’m sure they will be great BUT for the cost of these devices, I would expect them to charge.

It’s an awesome roller, the different textures sooth and loosen your neck, spine, hips and thighs in a more effective way than a smooth roller, in my opinion. The medium density foam has just enough “ give” to be comfortable, yet still be therapeutic.

I highly recommended the 321 medium density foam roller for Myofasicial Self Release and Deep Tissue Massage.

As a physical therapist, I use foam rollers all the time for my patients and myself. This product is great and has many uses. It can be used to loosen up fascia and tight muscles or tendons. It can also help to improve spinal mobility if you use it correctly.

I love foam rollers. You can find them sold at different lengths and hardness. I like the shorter ones that are around a foot long. It’s easy to store and throw in a duffle bag or back pack. The purpose is to break up the buildup that happens after the everyday workout muscle tearing.

It makes it so your muscle heals properly and there’s less soreness. Definitely get one if you frequently hit the gym or run. They’re especially good for calves, ham quad and IT bands.

Omg! Foam rollers are bomb! This particular one is unique because it’s not as dense as others. Meaning it won’t completely hurt you till you can’t walk! The dense ones are helpful, but I find them a little intense for my first time clients (yes I’m a personal fitness trainer).

Anyhow, this particular product is great for beginners looking to get into foam rolling (an alternative to stretching and massage combined together!). I highly recommend this product!.
