20 Best Vintage Alarm Clock (2022 Updated)

The glow in the dark hands stop glowing after 2 or 3 hours of darkness. The alarm setting is not accurate – several minutes before or after it is set for. I doesn’t work well at all if it is set for 15 minutes after the hour or 15 minutes before the hour.

I wanted a clock that doesn’t make an audible tick to replace a clock I’ve had for many years. This clock is a suitable replacement and doesn’t have any glaring lights – as in digital clocks. It does “what it says on the tin” The look is great and really does resemble a retro clock but the quality isn’t quite as good as my old one.

The only thing we wish it had would be the numbers on the clock would also glow in the dark, not just the hands. Doing the night when one has to get up to use the bathroom one would like to see the time, because one is half asleep and would make it easier to read.

The clock has big numbers and hands, which is great to have on a small clock, so I do recommend it this item to anyone who need a great clock with an alarm.

This would be a good travel alarm clock, or a handy little back-up alarm. It has a decently loud alarm (electronic beep). It takes 1 AA battery. I love that it’s a basic little alarm clock: No plugging in, No charging docks, No blutooth nonsense.

You use dials on the back to set the clock and alarm hand, there is a button on top to kill the alarm. The battery means that a power outage won’t ruin your morning, or get you in trouble with your boss! THE ONLY CON: the clock face is really small.

If you’re nearsighted, or morning-fuzzysighted, you kind of just have to take the buzzer’s word for the time. I hope this company comes out with a larger version of this great little clock – their target demographic needs a BIGGER display!.

the photo clearly illustrates a yellow green housing. The mint green I received is a light blue/turquoise color. You need to make sure the images accurately show the right color.

Got this as a gift. Wanted a little bigger but I should have looked at the dimensions in the product overview.

I really like the clock; however, the setting mechanisms are very difficult for arthritic hands. I have to have someone do the settings. Do you have this same clock in a larger size? You are a wonderful people-oriented store—something out of the past!.

The clock is very attractive. The light is very poor, it illiminates the lower right-hand quadrant weakly, the upper left-hand quadrant is left completely dark, you need to rely on a faint glow from the flourescent hand tips.

My clock was faulty; the seconds-hand went round but the hour and minute hands didn’t move, I returned the clock. It takes a AA battery, rechargeable batteries cannot be used.

The clock is defective. I tried setting it and it does not keep time, stuck at the same time. Minute hand and hour hand are stuck together. Changed batteries, no luck. My problem is that I live in Connecticut and with the recent Covid surge, even though I became a member on my last visit, I will not be coming into New York any time soon.

Could you issue me a refund?.

Very beautiful classic alarm clock. just like in the good old days, apart from being silent and it’s battery operation. No winding up required. The bell will certainly wake you up, not for the faint hearted, it‘s a good long ring too that will get you out of bed.

The colour red is on the warm side, a yellow tinged red, an autumn red.

Love the design and colour of this clock but the “silent sweet” is not so silent! We can hear the second hand at night even from across the room. a low but loud constant sound that is more unpleasant than a ticking clock.

I’m not sure how much you’re meant to spend on a clock for the very selling point to work but I didn’t consider this a good value price. Really disappointed!.

It looks so cute on a little end table in our living room. Not that keen on the colour, strangely enough – insipid is the word that comes to mind. Regardless, I love this clock with unusual passion. It makes me happy every time I look at it and it keeps good and silent time.

I love the mission and look Loftie has, and I hope one day your company can achieve that mission and look. Unfortunately, I feel as though I have been misled. Your promotional videos and photos show Loftie automatically going into blackout mode when the lights are off (turns out you have to touch a button to do that).

It also shows Loftie awake and functioning with no plug. Loftie has to be connected in order to be on (which is really unfortunate as I have missed two alarms, one due to a power outage in my town and the second to the back cable getting pulled out during the night).

On top of this, it still doesn’t have the ability for me to customize my alarms from music on my iPhone (which I get that hopefully, you will be able to soon). I am really disappointed with the Loftie product at this point.

I was totally willing to spend the money on what was marketed to me but that turned out to not be the case. I just submitted a return for mine. I’d like to be hopeful to purchase it again once they are a bit further along with development.

Ability to function when unplugged for at least an alarm cycle that ways I don’t have to back up each time we have bad weather with my iPhone, and a setting for automatic blackout once the lights are turned off, compatibility with extensions, etc.

Your product is not worth what you are asking customers to pay. I will be willing to spend the money once you are able to deliver what you are marketing.

We were initially optimistic on trying the features Loftie offers. Unfortunately, we experienced nothing but problems. 1) The initial set up in connecting to Wifi to update Loftie kept failing about 75% of the way through the process.

Finally after several attempts – more than 24 hours – the set up process completed. OK – seriously. why should it be so hard to set up a basic alarm clock? This initially left the first negative impression.

2) Once using the sounds and setting the volume, we were not able to easily set the proper volume. The sounds intended to play at night to help you fall asleep were way too quiet and we couldn’t hear them.

Once we increased the volume – hoping we had it now correct for the morning, the morning alarm volume was WAY too loud and would jolt us awake. Not quite the experience we had expected given its ability to play soothing nature sounds.

Again, we tried many times to find the right adjustment. After 2 weeks of constant frustration, we are returning it and now seeking something better. This should be a simple item and should “just work”.

The design of this is lousy and way too complicated. Fortunately, the company has made it easy enough to return it for a complete refund and they cover the shipping costs to return it as well.

Although this clock is aesthetically beautiful and sounds great in theory the technology is lacking compared to what I was anticipating from Loftie’s advertisements. The clock does not have as wide of a variety of sounds as I would have hoped.

The alarms don’t allow to to control specific variables, such as snooze time or volume for the wake up tone vs alarm tone independent of each other. The Loftie app has difficulty with changes sticking, for example if I change the alarm time and hit save the change does not actually save or reflect on the clock itself.

I usually have to resolve this by unpairing and repairing or powering off my Loftie. Again, in theory Loftie sounds amazing. But the software is really lacking. For where it’s at in it’s product and software development the price is pretty steep.

I wouldn’t recommend this to friends or family at this time. If I was able to still return mine I probably would until drastic improvements have been made.

This clock is super cute, super easy to work (setting the time and alarm), and I love that it features a snooze button that doubles as a light when needing to read the time at night/in the dark. Now that I’ve had it for a few months, the gears make a little bit of noise.

It’s not terrible, but can be somewhat distracting when reading in bed. It didn’t make this noise to begin with so I do wonder if it will get worse. Either way, I like the clock enough to put up with it but could be annoying for really light sleepers.

Pros: It is quiet and the alarm is pleasant. Cons: The ‘glass’ in front is curved, so that it reflects a lot of light from windows etc, making it very hard to read. Because it is curved it is very hard to position so that it reflects no light.

The trim around the ‘glass’ is chrome plated, making it look rather cheap. To snooze the alarm you press the button on top. To turn the alarm off you have to reach around the back – a bit awkward.

It’s a very easy to read clock, it’s very quiet, and the dial lights up just enough to be visible but not disturb the other person sleeping. It’s a bit expensive for such a small item, but I trust that the Seiko brand will ensure that the clock functions for a long time.

I have had this alarm clock that I purchased from Target for over two years. the only thing you have to do is replace the AA batteries. the alarm is loud and wakes me up every morning! I 💜 my Crosley alarm clock 👍.

Love it. Can adjust brightness more to set the alarm without turing on room lights, then dim for sleeping, but still able to see the time in the dark. It’s perfect if you hate getting up in the morning.

Ascending alarm means I never sleep thru the alarm. And 40 minute snooze repeats long enough until I’m ready to get up.

How quite the alarm is it not for people who actually sleep or don’t have a pup who wakes them when the alarm goes off.

It is really cute and well made. I like how easy it is to read. The size was perfect for my bathroom shelf. It is not silent however. I got it to use in my bathroom though so I am ok with that. I don’t think that I could sleep with its sound.

Just something to consider if you need silence to sleep.

Cute white-face analog clock. Had it about a week and like it a lot. I hope itll continue to keep accurate time. That has been the issue Ive had with other purchases of clocks like thisnot sure what brand.

This clock is made from a more well known brand so Im hoping that will mean the product lasts long after the box and receipt are long gone. Clock comes in many colors and is a great size to sit on a book shelf or desk or b a TV.

This is a good clock. Just like the old days. It is battery powered. You don’t need to wind it. The bells on top are good. It is made of nickel. I really like it a lot.

This is an elegant, classic clock. It is a lovely sage color, not as grey as it appears in the pictures. It is so very clear and easy to read that my 7 year old son enjoys using it to practice telling time.

Even my teenaged daughter likes it, and she usually hates anything I pick out.

I like the design of the clock- simple and cute. But mine didnt come with the battery as noted by description. It’s not a big deal but I wish they either included the battery or didnt put that as description.

I still need to go buy the battery so i’m not sure if it even works.

The battery is not included, just as a reviewer from a few months ago noted, and despite the product description saying one is included. It’s otherwise as described, perhaps bigger than it seems, but fits appropriately on a desk or bookshelf.

Got it for my mum. She is old frail and wanted something where it was easy to replace batteries and didnt take up much room. Ive got a pink one which she liked so ordered a red one to match her decor.

She is very pleased. ,.

I was so pleased with this clock it looks very stylish and looks lovely next to my bed. The alarm is quite loud enough to wake me up. I am so glad I picked this clock and looking very retro ticked all my boxes.

Clear numerals & Quiet!! Alarm very easy to set and switch off- wipe clean plastic. Great looking clock in chocolate brown and cream.

This is a lovely little clock. The second hand moves around in a smooth action with no noise so will not keep you awake The alarm doesn’t blow your head off but is loud enough. It has three stages if it is ignored getting louder and more frequent each time.

It also flashes. You can press a button on the top to make the face light up. I am really pleased with this clock. It looks really good too.

A good and straight forward alarm clock. Feels a bit flimsy but does the job. Instructions are minimal – although it’s such a basic model that you dont need long instructions! I therefore had no warning after I pressed “snooze”, that within a few minutes it would start making a higher pitch noise whilst lighting up and flashing! It didn’t fail to wake me – and the rest of the family.

Lovely neat and stylish clock which is a perfect size for bedside. Easy to use and has a light which isn’t too dazzling, switches off quickly and does not disturb partner. Haven’t used alarm yet so can’t comment.

The clock is adorable! However, I purchased this particular alarm clock with the understanding that the nightlight would stay on – Light does NOT STAY ON!! So disappointed! I wanted to be able to wake up during the night and actually see what time it was without having to reach over my husband or visa-versa.

Therefore, I had to return.

Looks just like the photo!! Very cute little clock and fit into the space just like I’d hoped! I was a little disappointed that there’s no option for the light to stay on – you just push a button for the light – as soon as you let up on the button the light goes off.

The clock is very cute and nostalgic. (4 stars) It is an Alarm clock but I thought the alarm would be the Bells on the top. The ALARM IS NOT LOUD AND NOT BELLS. I need those bells to wake up. I will keep it just the same.

This alarm clock is just as advertised. The alarm will wake you without waking the dead. The night light feature shows the time without you having to touch buttons. The clock is very accurate. It does not have the jerking and ticking second hand as most quarts clocks but a smooth and silent action.

As a battery clock, it works if there is a power outage. I do wonder about battery life because of the night-lite feature, but AAs are cheap and plentiful and it uses two, not one as some other quartz clocks.

The Newgate table clock is a very neat piece. I had my concerns about the quality but confirm that the piece is very beautifully manufactured. There is the classic alarm ring which I love and the smooth sweep is fascinating.

Great looking clock, great sounding clock (loud ringing bells definitely do the wake-up trick), but unfortunately those bells are most likely not going to be ringing at the precise time you want them to.

Why? Because this is a clock that sacrificed function for design. If the bells don’t have you wanting to throw the darn thing to its brutal death against the nearest wall, the inefficiency of setting the alarm for a precise time surely will.

It’s diabolical. Best you can hope for is to set it with 5-10 minutes of the actual wake-up time you want. Newgate let us down.

The clock is a throwback to a different time. We love the design, the alarm is loud so you will not sleep through it and it keeps perfect time. Ease of ordering as well as an affordable price with the Magnolia name to back it!.

I got this clock about two weeks ago and have really enjoyed it. It’s a nice little clock{about 4 inches wide and 3. 5 inches high}. The numbers are nice and big making it easy to read. It has a blue night light on it that you can adjust to get it just the way you want it.

The clock has easy-to-set controls to set the time and the alarm as well. The snooze button is in a good location — on top,making it easy to push{you can push the snooze button many times}. Vermont Country Store offers several clocks — including a digital electric clock and some battery operated clocks too.

But I wanted to get this analog clock so I could see the the whole face! And I really didn’t want to bother with any battery operated clocks. And as others have said and probably most important of all,this clock keeps great time! That’s because the instruction sheet says it’s a quartz clock,meaning that these clocks are very accurate! As I said,this is a great little clock and I have really enjoyed it.

I am very happy with the Equity Analog Alarm Clock I purchased from Vermont Country Store. I had for some time now missed my old analog alarm clock, and after choosing mistakenly a digital alarm clock that was not meant for someone like me.

Simplicity is what I like best.

I had been looking for a “plug in” analog clock that would simply stop when the power goes out, instead of going to 12:00 and blinking. That way I can tell how long the outage was. I don’t need it for the alarm feature, just the fact that it is an old fashioned clock.

It sets on top of my microwave in the kitchen, so the blue light functions as a night light for the kitchen as well. I was a bit disappointed to find that the whole thing seems to be made of cheap plastic and the knobs to set the time seem kind of loose and wobbly, but with no more often than I will have to reset the time, it should work for quite a while.

I have a Braun alarm clock that is over 30 years old that I have loved. The alarm stopped working so I ordered a new one. The new one is great, but I do miss the flashlight feature on the older model.

The older model had a true flashlight, but the light on the newer model does not function well as a flashlight. Other than that, I am very happy with the new model.

I was very disappointed with this clock. It is a handsome clock and it is very inexpensive, however it is cheaply made. The clock looks nice, but the materials used are all plastic. The worst fault is that the clock does not work as it should.

It does not run in the upright position. It only works if it is lying on its back. I would have returned it except that to do so would be difficult for me and since the clock was inexpensive, I don’t feel too out of pocket.
