18 Best Vinyl For Tumblers (2022 Updated)

I bought this specifically to use with my Cricut Explore Air 2 and it just won’t cut meaning I have wasted a lot of money on something I can’t use. I have checked the cricut forums and it seems I am not the only one to experience this issue and I tried all of the suggested work-arounds but to no avail.

Very disappointed. I have had to cut basic shapes using scissors instead of the things I had been hoping to cut using my machine. Completely not Hobbycraft’s fault – it’s a Cricut issue – but still very disappointing.

Lovely jewel toned colours with a hint of shimmer that work well together. Decent value given the size of the sheets. I used all 3 colours to decorate a terracotta pot in a sheltered spot in my garden.

Not sure how long it will last (instructions suggest 3 years and say it’s water-resistant so fingers crossed!) but I guess I could add a coat of varnish for extra longevity.

Great quality vinyl! Love the shimmer it’s added to my projects. Do not recommend using the vinyl setting on the Cricut – you should go to Custom, and choose the premium vinyl option from your settings.

It’s a thicker material and will make weeding soo much easier if you use a setting meant for this material. Lesson learned here!.

Seems like a premium product, but when compared to the cheap stuff you can buy on Amazon, this product is very hard to work with. Specifically when it comes to using transfer tape to remove from the backing and apply.

Does not want to come off the backing at all, and with the backing being that super stiff plastic, it’s almost impossible to peel. I ended up tearing a few letters and this stuff aint that cheap.

Took some time in finding the vinyl sheets in store but found them. Problem I first had was the product doesn’t state it is adhesive but assumed it was. When I got it home and checked it is thankfully.

The second problem I had was due to it having in store the corners are folding so when printing in it caught a couple of the corners. Then the problem I faced was when using it in the brother scan and cut the corners kept catching in the machine so I kept having to stick the edges down rehab I shouldn’t have needed to.

The sheets aren’t a4 in size so be warned if you’re wanting to use a whole sheet for something. The adhesive back is sticky but could be more sticky as the vinyl is being stuck on plastic products. I’m hoping it will stay stick long enough for what it’s intended to be used for.

This is a great set to get started with learning the vinyl sticker making process. Good adhesive, but not dishwasher safe unless you put a protective laminate over the design. A tip would be to turn on system dialogue when you “print then cut”.

This will bring up the printer settings and I choose photo paper (not glossy) to get the best print quality out of my inkjet printer.

Great quality sticker vinyl. I make lots of stickers and I’ve tried a lot of different makes but this is by far the best. Ok so Cricut is well known for being a bit pricey but if you want quality then buy these.

The sticking power alone is worth the price. Remember if you want to use these outside you need to cold laminate after they have been printed to make them waterproof.

Beautiful colours in this set with just the right amount of sparkle. Cuts really well too. Always a pleasure shopping at Harvey Norman Mackay, the staff are so pleasant, efficient and helpful – thank you.

As a side note really wish you would stock Siser Easyweed – its the best.

I loved the look of this vinyl. It took me awhile to get the settings right on my machine. I have an explore 2. I set it for custom, shimmery vinyl, and then had it add extra pressure. It was a bit more difficult that regular vinyl, but worth all the effort in the long run.

Absolute rubbish! I loved the colours as thought they were really pretty but weeding this was the worst I’ve ever experienced, ripped the picture apart that I was doing because it wouldn’t detach, whether this is because it wasn’t cut great or just horrible to weed.

Either way I wouldn’t buy this again.

No instructions- I’m still unsure if this is adhesive or iron on. I managed to buy this without a label as it was the only holographic one remaining in store. It was in the iron-on bin- it was $6 more than other vinyl.

Now I’m completely clueless. There is nothing sticky about it. I can’t get it to stick to ANY surface.

This vinyl is absolutely gorgeous. I love the colour changing shine on it. It cuts nicely and weeds well. I got the results I wanted first time, no issues. I just wish Cricut would lower their prices.

Awesome, fun vinyl! Just keep in mind it’s not permanent vinyl so only suitable for temporary projects! But the colors and holographic fun of this vinyl is unbeatable and it’s easy to cut!

Really nice quality vinyl. I have used it on wood which it has attached to well. Easy to weed. Knocked off a star for the price which is quite high compared to other makes of just as good quality. Smaller packs and a wider range of colours would be good.

Or the ability to pick and choose single sheets so you don’t have to buy colours you won’t use.

I love this for making cards! It’s amazing what this and some transfer tape can do. My next quest is to create a cool wall decal for my bedroom. Also, I wanted to add something about the review saying it takes awhile to stick.

mostly because I wouldn’t want anyone else to make the same mistake and maybe the person who left the review might see this, this is removable vinyl. So no heat is needed. In fact, Im guessing the heat was the problem.

It’s simply meant to be lifted w transfer tape and burnishes onto a wall or card stock or a phone case. As long as you’re not washing it in the laundry or in a dishwasher you’re good to go. I hope that helps.

I don’t know when the review was written so this could be a moot point. Though, it could still be helpful to someone else!.

I didn’t buy this for the same reason as anyone would vinyl sheets. I got it to use as a stencil for a spray paint job on a glass panel. As a stencil? It worked well, 5 stars. Edges stayed down and didn’t bleed or come up when spraying.

And the finished lines are clear and not fuzzy. As a vinyl? Or removable? 1 star. I tested my stencil on scrap glass and plexiglass. It sticks really really well. Yes it came off, but at what cost. I had to fight it and pull as hard as I possibly could all along the way.

It left behind tons of sticky residue. On glass or plexiglass I can remove it sure, but on another surface that is slightly more delicate. don’t hold your breath. It definitely won’t come off paper without tearing it.

I honestly thought I had bought a permanent roll until I checked the label again. It came off in pieces and kept tearing. Luckily I won’t use the pieces after spraying over the stencil. Again 5 stars for the potential for stenciling.

But 0-1 stars for it being removable.

I love using the Cricut vinyl as it is great quality. The gold and silver have a lovely shimmery effect on them. In addition, it is definitely worth the price. There is a lot of vinyl on this pack!

We put it on our Christmas stockings to personalize them. We love our cricket. We have made shirts and hoodies so far.

I bought this to personalise a cushion for my sister’s Christmas present, it turned out so well! I cut out a design using my cricut machine and I only used a iron to transfer it on, so pleased with how it turned out.

Seems decent quality for the price paid. Daughter is delighted with it. Arrived fairly quickly considering the pandemic. Overall very happy

Beware! The 30 oz tumblers shipped very quickly and they come nicely boxed with the straw included, although it’s a little short for 30 oz cups. The problem is that they do not sublimate well at all.

I’m not a beginner to sublimating tumblers, I know what I’m doing. I start using these and any full color wrap designs had paper sticking, designs not transferring as they should, colors dull, etc. I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong.

I wasted quite a cups. I was really annoyed. I changed pressure, temps, time, anything I could think of. Then it finally dawned on me it wasn’t me, it was these tumblers. Luckily my normal cups showed up and my cups turned out again.

Last week I tried using one of these tumblers again just to see how it came out and I had the same results of paper sticking, etc and threw it out. I’m over them. They might look nice, but they don’t sublimate well and that’s what they are for.

I wish I’d taken photos of them, but it took me a while to even realize the problem.

I have never had any issues heat pressing tumblers before, this was my first purchase from Makerflo. These tumblers made my sublimation paper stick to them. I have a sawgrass 500, using Sublijet paper and using a tumbler heat press.

Followed recommendations for heat, time and pressure. Paper stuck to every single one. We tried all different heat temps, times and pressures to see if anything changed but the results were always the same.

I heard great things about these tumblers, I am guessing this was just a bad batch. Not happy with this purchase. I wouldn’t order them again. Too expensive and all 25 were defective.

I bought from this company because everyone raved about the customer service. I bought my second case of sublimation tumblers and used 4 out the new case. nothing I’ve done differently and they were a failure.

I had seen the posts on the FB group about a bad batch and sent an email explaining I thought I might have gotten some of the “bad batch” I quickly got a reply and was asked to send photos. Which I did within hours.

even asking if what I had read about baking them for 10 minutes before trying to sub on them would work. Keep in mind I was counting on this to complete orders. not asking for a refund not asking for replacements but advice if this would work to remedy the problem.

That was last Thursday. Haven’t heard a peep from them since I sent the requested pictures. now I get a please tell us what you think request. There ya go. that’s what I think. I bought from this company because I heard good reviews.

I won’t buy from them again.

Nice color sampler. Cuts easily. Easy to peel off of surfaces. Wish the same color set also came in the iron-on vinyl version too.

The cups were beautiful, and I don’t know about all of the ones that I purchased but the one I kept for myself must have a crack in it because there is liquid between the walls of the cup😞\n\n**After seeing my review the store owner messaged me right away and sent a new cup the next day.

These are really pretty, but they are thin fragile plastic. We dropped some and they cracked. Have to handle with care and use care when filling with ice. I probably would not use these again.
