20 Best Vinyl Repair Kits (2022 Updated)

I bought this one because the reviews for the cheaper one were so terrible. The price on this is ridiculous but I couldn’t find any alternative quick enough while under lockdown. I had a pinhole on the top of my airbed, the part that has the suede fabric stuff on it.

I tried to scrape off the texture with a knife but made the pinhole into a tear. This patch kit repaired it well. I sanded off the texture with sand paper and then coated the area and the patch with the sealant.

Then I left a weight on the patch for the night. On reinflation the bed held air again. I felt really good about what I had done. I started to go out more and the nightmares came less often. I got a job again.

Eventually I met someone and the relationship was going really well. I thought I had control of my life again, that I could actually be happy. But maybe I went too fast to soon. It wasn’t long, maybe a few months, until I started to get that sinking feeling.

I started waking up at night, lower and lower I went until I once again was hitting rock bottom. It’s a good thing this kit comes with 5 patches.

I purchased this in order to repair a hole in the flocked side of a vinyl air mattress. The patches are die cut from fairly thick material. The adhesive supplied with the kit was very low viscosity – a bit thicker than water.

When I applied the adhesive to the patch it caused the patch to curl. I applied the adhesive as thick as I could to the patch and placed it on the mattress with a weight on it. When I checked later I found it did not stick at all to the flocked surface.

I had to use another adhesive to get the repair to work (E6000 Craft Adhesive). The Airhead product turned out to be an expensive way to obtain some vinyl patches. Whether the adhesive supplied works on smooth vinyl I’m not sure – I didn’t try that.

I got this to repair several leaks on a ball pool that takes a real hammering at our house. The main one that was causing the base ring to go down was a small split in a seam. I was a bit reticent about whether any repair product could handle this, but I’m happy to say that once the patch was applied, and the adhesive allowed to cure under a heavy weight for 24 hours, a firm weld was achieved, and this has stood up to holding significant air pressure so far.

As others have commented, four patches doesn’t come close to the potential number of repairs that the amount of adhesive in the tube could do, but I have also read that you can use any vinyl sheet to cut a patch from.

Old swimming rings or garden pools or even plastic umbrellas have been mentioned. All in all, used correctly, a good product that I would recommend without reservation.

So my son managed to put a big (think an inch and a half tall by an inch wide) T shaped tear into a brand new Thermarest base camp sleeping pad (i mean, that’s cool dude, it only cost like $80 bucks and you used it once).

This is the right kind of vinyl patch. I was a little concerned that the thermarest isn’t completely flat and the tear is really big. I did nothing to patch the tear before applying this. Here’s what’s good about this.

It comes in a pretty long sheet and per the instructions I was supposed to have the patch extend an inch past the tear in all directions. That wasn’t totally possible though the instructions say you can overlap the patches.

So far so good. The patch is holding. I blew the pad up with my mouth past the point I would normally have air pressure inside it and it’s held so far. My son actually slept on the pad last night next to our bed (he only weighs about 45lbs) and I’ve spent some time sitting on it and the patch is holding.

I deflated the pad and rolled it up for a while and then reinflated it. So far so good. I think so far this is a good product. I still have about half of it left, as well as the two small puncture patches that came with it and I’ll probably buy another and add this to my camping kit.

We’ll see how long it holds up on this ridiculous tear (something it’s surely not really designed for) but I have a good feeling.

I had a 10cm long tear along the seam of a 3 person ski tube, I was about to throw out this ski tube that I had paid $450 for only 2 years earlier. I went onto eBay the day after the ski tube got its tear, to search for a replacement ski tube, when I just so happened to come across this product advertising that it could fix tears in various blow up items, including ski tubes.

At first I thought ok another scam product trying to take my money, but after reading all the positive reviews that promoted people such as myself to purchase this item. I decided to give it a try. what did I have to loose besides the $20 purchase price.

my ski tube was useless anyway and I was only going to put into the bin anyway. why not. I ordered the product and it arrived as it advertised on its due date, I opened the box and read the straight forward instructions of how to apply the tape to a tear in a tube such as mine and thought.

nah no way is this going to work. it has no glue or anything besides the tape itself to stick it to the torn tube. once again I reminded myself. what have I got to loose? So I cut the tape to the specified size I needed and to how the instructions told me to cut it, and I then applied it to my tube.

I then applied the pressure to the area I applied thetape to (I put a brick on it) and I left it for 24 hours. The next day, after I had left it for 24 hours to seal it to the ski tube, I pumped the ski tube up and tested it for leaks, visually and with water.

no leaks. so I left it pumped up overnight to see if it went down and to my surprise it was still full of air. I let the tube down and then proceeded to put the ski tube back into its zipped cover ready for our next trip out to go tubbing etc.

About 2 days later we went out skiing and water tubing and tested out the now repaired ski tube with the tear aid tape on it. with our small children testing it first. after a 20 minute ride it was still full of air and working fine, I then decided to put 2 90kg guys on it and give it a big workout with the guys jumping it etc over the wake and big waves.

to my surprise, after another 20 minute hard ride it was still full of air and working better than ever. wow I thought how could this tear aid have worked with such a long 10cm tear along the seam. but it did and now after two months of using this tube with the tear aid on it.

it’s still working as it did before the tear!! I have also now used it on three other tubes that I had sitting in the shed with holes in it that I was also going to put in the bin ( been sitting in the shed for two summers) but I had not thrown out yet, because I was hoping one day that a product like this would come onto the market!! I am now glad to have held onto those tubes as they are all now holding air once again and the kids are all happy again!! I can not recommend this product enough, it has been the best $20 I have spent in 20 years! If you have any blow up products that have tears in it, well this is the product that will fix it!!.

Ive tried an unbelievable amount of vinyl patches, cements, with no results! I found airhead B and my frustration has vanished! No mess or fuss to apply the product. I had immediate results! Two steps, clean & dry the area.

Peel & stick the product to the vinyl. Its clear so you can see the spot to place the tape! Thats it! 2 to 3 minutes and your swimming! Highly recommend!.

This was by far the very worst item I have ever purchased. It has the consistency of contact paper. I have returned it to the store for a full refund it is definitely not worth the time money or effort.

Gorilla tape would have been better. Do not waste your time.

Seemed all good, what do you expect, as thin as it can be, and make sure you take you siding in to the shop to get a paint match. Of course you know where they are, but others can’t tell really after painting.

If you have a real hole and not cracks, you kind of need to fill it with something, so it isn’t obvious after adhering/.

if you match your patch it is almost virtually hard to spot. I am getting another pack. We are selling our home and this has saved us $$$$. I highly recommend, need to make sure you clean and wipe with alcohol, make sure its dry warm day and that it will not rain in at least 24 hours.

I rushed a couple of mine and have to do it over because it rained right after I applied and painted. But other than that I am very impressed.

This 1-Star rating applies to the merchant supplier and not the Permatex product. I ordered this Permatex repair kit and received it within a reasonable time. However, what I received was a package that was previously opened and retaped with the sealant nozzle and grain paper missing.

Without the nozzle and grain paper my boat vinyl seat repair could not be performed rendering the produce useless to me. I have asked the merchant for a refund and am awaiting their reply.

Did not come with grain pattern paper as described in the item description, which was the primary reason I ordered this product…. Just a piece of plain white paper/pasteboard.

I used this to glue down a seam flap on a Miata vinyl convertible top. Applied it, clamp seam and left it dry for 24 hours. Glue is still holding well 4 weeks later including thru the flexing as Roof goes up & down multiple times.

Honestly didn’t expect it to work as well as it is. Will see if it makes it thru heat of summer.

So, you may not think this turned out great, but considering the situation, I think its great!This was about a 6 inch long gash, split, or rip whatever you want to call it in hubbys car seat. The seat is not flat, and the gash was on the angled side of the seat, near the seam, in a very awkward place to access to do the repair.

I had to stand outside the car, lean over the seat, and push down on the side edge of the seat, to be able to see the gash and attempt the repair. Ouch, my poor back!The gash only went through the top layer of the faux leather, but not through the bottom layer of fabric.

So there was no way to add backing material before doing the repair. AND, the frayed edges of the top layer of faux leather had about 1/16 th of an inch of jagged edges, sticking up along both edges of the gash.

Ugh. After trying to trim off all the jagged edges, using 4 different pairs of scissors, and because of the awkward angle and position of the gash on the seat, I just could not get the scissors close enough to remove hardly any of the tiny jagged edges.

I wanted to try a razor blade, but hubby wasnt crazy about that idea, so I left all of the remaining jagged edges. This meant having to apply the vinyl repair liquid under the jagged edges to try to glue them down, then filling in the remaining hole, slash, gash with more of the repair liquid.

Per the instructions, I tried to use thin layers of the liquid, rather than flooding the gash with the liquid. I did not use the brush, I only used the little spatula. I smoothed out the liquid as best as I could, dabbed off the edges with a wet Q-tip and rubbing alcohol.

Let it dry for an hour then looked at it. It was starting to repair the gash. I added another layer of the repair liquid. I just dabbed small amounts along the gash straight out of the tube, then smoothed it out again with the spatula, and dabbed the edges again.

I did this a total of 5 times, waiting an hour between each layer of liquid. Each t.

I purchased this product after I noticed the molded plastic material on my passenger door panel was peeled off. The area was pea sized but noticeable. The product came within a timely manner. Once it arrived, I actually skipped the provided tutorial that you can scan the QR code of to take you to the instructions/color chart.

I had to mix the black and white color together to get a dark charcoal color. I put the black substance in the plastic container provided with the shipment and added extremely small amounts of white color until I reached the desired color.

I was able to test the color on the car by applying a small amount and quickly wiping if off with alcohol. Prior to starting the area of concern, I wiped it down with alcohol and allowed it to dry. I used the utensil small spatula provided to spread it on making sure I slightly went outside the perimeter of concern.

Due to the texture of the surrounding area, I then patted the area with a towl that would not leave any residual from the towl behind. I then used the sharp end on the utensil to make lines in the area that were similar to the lines in the entire car door panel.

I allowed it to dry for 10 hours. It did not need a touch up. Great product.

So i bought this on a whim was rushed, didnt do any research into the product, actually ordered the wrong thing but turned out to be exactly what i needed! Its crazy how things worked out, even the employee i chatted with online about the effectiveness it would have on these pair of leather vans, which needed touch ups very bad.

as you can see from the first pictures. So i decided to start on a very small area in a area which wouldnt even be noticeable in the event things didnt work out. Within moments after the first small application i knew this stuff would be able to bring these shoes back to life, gradually moving from section to section with ease and minimal usage.

I found that the little brush provided in the package was a little less than adequate for at least my situation, so i used a stiffer paint brush that i had from home and worked unbelievably good. I started playing with different ways of applying the product and found that cross-hatching style first with the grain of the horizontal then vertical or vice versa worked best and then to get the excess amounts worked in as well as ensuring the application was evenly spread out, was to use wax on-wax off for you karate kid fans circular motions both either right/left as well as up/down.

I only put one application to each area then let it dry over night, and might go over it again later this morning if needed which i will update, if that process is in fact needed to be done. these pics were take prior to using this and post use, as it wasnt dry yet either.

But overall so far i am beyond satisfied with the purchase of this and would recommend this to anyone with leather shoes that need a little life put back into them. Plus there is so many added benefits and things which come extra to purchasing with these kind people.

But as i did youll just have to wait and see for yourself! hope this helped and informative as i it intended to be. IF you got this far thanks for your time and have as much success.

This is a great, inexpensive way to repair upholstery. I wanted to sell my daughter’s car but it had two holes in the front seat about the size of a quarter. I tried stitching them but that didn’t work so I bought this kit.

On my first try I got the color a bit too light but the second time it was really close and looked good. It dries hard so seems like it is durable. Sold the car in 2 days! I think NOT having two big holes helped.

The tear in back of seat cousin is 3″ long. Could not use this kit, looks like a good kit. (Note: if I could read Spanish I would have not purchased this kit. ) In Spanish it’s contents are in part. (1) screen applicator 2″ X 3″ [actually 2″ X 2″] and (1) fabric sample 2″ X 3″ [actual 3″ X 3″].

My tear and fabric sample are the same size, no excess to overlap the tear!.

This product worked as expected. It was not easy to use you have too keep at it too make the exact color match but it is not easy for me anyway. It did work as expected.

Found a 1″ slit in the bottom of my pool liner. Reviewed several websites, and this product came highly recommended. I gave it a try. Cut a patch about 1″ larger on all sides than the slit, applied the glue (super easy to do), folded the patch in half and wearing goggles, submerged to the bottom of the pool.

Placed the patch quickly, used a rubber spatula to push out the bubbles, and in less than two minutes had the patch on. Can hardly see the patch and it is secure in place. I highly recommend this product!.

Under-water application is messy and no fun, but this stuff works! I was even successful in slobbering some extra glue on a few edges that tried to peel off again – now they stick perfectly. Our cleaning robot has not been able to do any damage after daily use for a week so far.

This kit fixed a small tear in my vinyl liner. It’s been two months, and no issues. Saved me the tube and tricky of buying and installing a new liner. Or at least having to empty the pool for a dry repair.

Used a heavy duty tarp patch kit to repair an above ground pool that had several large holes due to branches being flung into the pool during a severe storm. Pool holds 15,000 gallons, and is 4 ft deep.

Holes are halfway down. Patches are holding well after 2 weeks. Product was exactly as described.

It was what I expected and needed to repair my tarp top. I have used this stuff before and I knew what to order. Thank you very much.

Used my vinyl repair kit for the first time yesterday. It seems to have have an extremely strong bond. Would highly recommend this product.

Our older black leather sectional couch had gotten many small tears and holes of various sizes in it a few maybe as large as a quarter. It had gotten to the point where it was definitely becoming an eyesore and was needing repair.

I searched Amazon I decided to use the FORTIVO PROFESSIONAL DIY LEATHER AND VINYL REPAIR KIT black. The feedback was very positive and the price was very reasonable so I figured why not. Well Im really glad that I chose this Fortivo leather repair kit because the final results were really excellent! The repair process is simple enough, though it takes time and patience for larger area repairs.

I followed the very detailed instructions and videos and was able to blend in the black Fortivo solution with my existing leather and disguise all of the unsightly blemishes. Its not perfect, but its 100x better than having holes and tears in your leather cushions.

This kit included a very large amount of black repair solution, so I have enough product to repair any future tears or holes that might occur. If you have any leather or vinyl that needs repairing I highly recommend trying the Fortivo repair kit that works for your needs.

Bonded/composite/. garbage leather sofa was beginning to self-destruct, pulling away from stitching, leaving strands of white thread in its wake. Replacement furniture has been ordered, but planning to give this to one of our kids.

The fabric breaches were about to turn into unrepairable holes. Upholstery repair shops wont touch fake leather crap, so I figured Id give this stuff a try. Minimal expectations, but. wow. Its easy to use, but patience is the key.

I applied it, let it dry for about six hours and buffed with rubbing alcohol to take the sheen off it. Did three separate applications on the two areas to even out the repairs and looked better each time.

Its not perfect, but unless youre specifically looking for the damage you probably wont see it. More importantly, it has bonded the fabric back together at the seams and looks fairly durable. If not, it can be done multiple times they give you a lot of the repair compound.

For the price, its a steal. And they offer responsive email support. Awesome.

I bought a kit of leather repair liquid in various colors once. I didnt need all the colors, and the stuff dried to a hard plastic-y consistency, not at all what the surface of my faux leather chair had.

I was disappointed and pretty much gave up on leather repair kits. So we have a leather Vreta couch from Ikea. Say what you want about most Ikea furniture, this thing has been beautiful, comfortable, and super durable.

So I was dreading the wear I noticed on the most used seat cushion after years of constant use in a family of 4 plus two cats. Eventually a small hole wore into the seat and I finally gave in and tried a leather repair kit yes, this one.

I admit that I didnt have much in the way of expectations. The bottle is not very big, but the goo applies thin and goes a long way. I treated it out on an ottoman with a small hole and lots of wear, and it dried sticky, but uniform and black and pretty much exactly what I wanted.

So I tried it on the couch. Fresh black couldnt possibly match years-old black with inevitable fading, so I coated the hole, the worn seat, and all the way to the edge of whats visible. This makes it consistent across the workspace, albeit a bit sticky at first.

I rubbed it a bit with a cloth and the sticky texture didnt go away, so weve just used it as normal, sitting on it with clothing that makes a sound as it peels off. Only two days later, the stickiness seems to be wearing off and its not only pretty durable so far, its starting to feel more like the original leather finish.

Maybe a little getting used to, time will tell, but much better than hard plastic. So Im impressed. I read the instructions several times to make sure I did what it advised. The instructions mention a brush for small areas and a paddle for larger areas, but my kit included a small plastic paddle.

If youre doing a large area you want to do it section by section to keep the product from drying in lumpy ridges. The goo is a thin liquid, so you push it around.

The go to for inflatable repairs. I’ve been using this product for some time and haven’t had any issues. For first time users keep in mind the adhesive can be runny so be cautious when applying not to get it all over the place.

Great patch, repair our tube perfectly. Be sure to follow the directions, especially the part about applying pressure for 12 to 24 hours to dry. If you do the patch will be rock solid afterwards.

I have six vinyl-upholstered dining chairs that started to crack and peel, and this product helped immensely! I had originally bought the 7-color kit, but needed more red color for burgundy-colored chairs and found the 10-color kit came with more product per bottle and allowed me to match the color even better.

Shout out to the great customer service– when I emailed the company to get advice on finishing this big job a real person emailed me back quickly and sent out more product promptly. As others say, this is easy to use and looks great when complete.

Only feedback: it would be good to be able to purchase single color tubes separately because I only need 2/10 colors for future repairs.

Im a perfectionist I admit it. I have an antique car that had tears in the leather in two areas that were driving me crazy. One, on the door, had been an eyesore to me since the cars restoration in 1986 – 1988.

The other, on the sill near the drivers seat, was from my own doing–my watch sliced a gouge when I was exiting the car recently. I searched Amazon for a leather repair kit that would take care of my needs and found it in the Fortivo Leather Repair Kit.

This product exceeded my expectations. It took two tries, but on the second mixing and application, I hit paydirt. I mixed an equal amount of blue and yellow, and added a small dollop of black, and the color was my perfect suede green, matching the interior of the car.

Note that I was worried I would botch the job, but you can remove the product easily with isopropyl alcohol, and try again. I think thats a very important feature to point out. Note that the product shrinks slightly upon drying, so I added a second application after about an hour to fill in the gaps.

The product dries quickly, within a few hours, which is a good thing. Also, as noted in the instructions, it dries slightly darker, but my mixture was very slightly on the light side, so the result was a near perfect match.

As mentioned, I’m a perfectionist, and using magnifying goggles, I could hardly notice a difference. After 24 hours, I put some alcohol on the supplied cloth it has a 3D leather-like pattern on it and compressed the shiny repair into the area, per Fortivos video instruction.

The result took away the shine and blended the repair into the leather. I think I have it down!After a week, I applied some Connolly’s Hyde Food English leather conditioner to the repairs, and the result was better than I could have ever hoped for.

I have attached photos. The pics were taken with both flash and natural light to give a good representation of color match. Note that I took advantage of Fortivos offer for help in color matching. I.

I was nervous about buying this kit, as I couldn’t find any reviews on line or any details about the cement. I wouldn’t trust any patch kit until it proved itself in use, but this one did! I had a pinhole leak in one of the bottom channels of my Explorer kayak.

I did some research on line about how to repair such leaks. Two layers (blobs) of this cement (with no patch) worked like a charm. I left an hour or so between applications and then let it cure for 24 hours before putting pressure on it.

I then inflated it in the house and left it overnight to be sure it didn’t leak, then tested it on choppy water with two people in the boat. No problems at all. Although they were not used for this repair, the patches are a perfect color match for the Intex K2 Explorer and seem to be identical material.

My air bed started losing air at 4 months old, on top of bed where coating is. Used rubbing alcohol on area of hole, and scraped coating off with thumbnail. Applied glue on mattress and patch and stuck patch on, then covered patch with the clear plastic in kit overhanging patch about an inch and put some heavy books on it for about 2 hours.

Clear plastic was for excess glue squeezing out, so books didn’t get stuck to mattress. Working great so far.

I have a twin AeroBed air mattress that had a hole in it and was going to lend it out to a friend. I found this patch on line, purchased it and applied it as instructed. The next day I inflated the air mattress and to my surprise it worked!! I was thrilled!! I cannot thank you enough for selling this product!!.

I have a queen sized high air mattress that got a 2 1/2 inch cut in it. I have not had good luck in the past with patching air mattresses, but I thought it was worth the gamble to try this rather than spend a lot of money on a new mattress.

I put the mattress over a large hardcover book to give it a good surface to work on and used a wallpaper edge roller to make sure the patch was pressed down securely. I then put a stack of books on top of it and left it for 24 hours.

A week later, the patch is still holding.

followed instructions provided. product provided patterned paper to apply on the repair location and remove after 24 hours drying time. when paper was removed the entire repair came off with removal of the patterned paper.

Worked great did what it said it could. I was impressed it matched perfectly.

Works really well to make repair. Took a little time to match colors but otherwise very good product.

This makes vinyl items like swim pool Floaters, vinyl cushions and best of all automotive seats and dashboards.

Had a knife cut into my bolster. It cut a 2-3 inch slice in the vinyl. Used this to try to repair it. Turned out better than expected and was simple to use.

This product works great for whatever need you have. I patched a tonneau cover for a pickup. I patched a nylon golf cart cover. I sewed a split seam on an office chair and covered that with VIP (my son thought it was a different chair); ditto on a frayed area of the sofa.

The piping on a chair had split open so I closed that area with VIP. Jim ripped his leather gloves so I patched them back together. They ripped in the same area from the stress but the rip was in the adjacent leather! NOT in my patch.

That shows how tough this repair is. Vinyl, nylon, cotton, leather, any odd thing you hope to hold together and retain the flexibility, this is the product you need.

You MUST follow the instructions – don’t be impatient – use a practice piece to get the hang of the ‘masking off of a border round the tear. Experiment with ways of pulling/pushing the edges of the tear together.

Then apply glue as directed – it forms a transparent ‘skin’ over the tear. Make sure it is dry before removing the masking tape. I used it on a 1″ tear on a motorcycle seat and the edges of the tear have remained stuck together with a little margin of ‘skin’ overlap.

I’m satisfied the tear won’t ‘travel’ – except with the bike ;-).

When I saw the Plasti Dip video for this “High Strength” repair glue, I thought it was something new. it’s not. You might be able to repair a clean cut on new vinyl material, but I think you’d have to be gluing the material backing.

then it will probably work. However, in the real world if you try gluing a car seat bolster tear that gets continuous use. forget it. the repair pulls apart. I think this is the same stuff manufacturers have been hawking for the last 30 years.

It really hasn’t changed, just a different label. It’s the same stuff as the Loctite flexible adhesive which also doesn’t work very well.

This is an amazing tape. I use this for vinyl repair on a hot tub cover. This is the only tape that will stick to vinyl without ‘gooing up. ’ Very strong. I wish I could have the time and money back that I spent on other tapes, before finding this one.

Fantastic product.

This Vinyl Upholstery Repair tape does not live up to its description. It can’t be “stretched”, even slightly. The adhesive isn’t strong enough to “hold” it in place. It cannot follow contours – i. e.

around corners, around beaded edges, it lifts from minor depressions leaving air gaps/voids. Patch was placed to form over a rounded corner, it did not hold. After application and 1 month under the boat cover, it did not provide an adequate physical or visually appealing patch.

Not worth the effort.

I used this vinyl tape to cover some small holes and cracks in our vinyl siding. Being clear, it didn’t matter what color the siding was, and didn’t have to match. The tape was easy to apply and will hopefully will seal over those areas and prevent rainwater from getting behind the siding.

I really wasnt sure what this is or if it would work, but I figured Id give it a try. The compounds of different colors come in small plastic cups. You mix them to try to match the color of your repair.

Getting the sage green color right is the hardest part for me. After cleaning and prepping the area to be repaired, applying the compound is rather easy with the small plastic spatula provided. Turns out that the compound is a paste-like substance that when dry has the feel of the leather or vinyl.

My sofa had one worn spot that was almost through the leather and large areas on the cushions where the finish was worn off and felt like rough suede. After cleaning, sanding with a very fine sandpaper and allowing to dry completely, I applied the compound.

Because I was repairing a large area, I only had enough for an initial coating but I was really impressed with the finish already. It seems to have bonded to the surface completely and has the pliable feel of finished leather.

I requested more compound from Fortivo so that I could apply a second coat and Darren kindly sent me more very quickly for free. A second coat should fill the porous areas that remain shown in the photos.

I havent applied the second coat yet and I hope I can get the color to match again. Even with the only first coat applied, I am no longer considering a new sofa. Thanks Fortivo!Update: Its now 8 months later and the repairs I made are still holding up and looking good.

I finally got around to finishing the remaining porous rough spots with the free extra compound. I made enough to coat the whole front half of the cushion. I applied it with a small kitchen spatula. It went on smooth and dried to a nice finish.

Soaked a cloth in 95% rubbing alcohol and lightly buffed out any imperfections. After completely dry I applied a leather cleaner/conditioner and it looks great. Its now all a smooth surface and unless you really look for it, you wouldnt notice that it was repaired.

I dont usually write reviews but this stuff worked great! I had a 1/4 sized slit in my Tacomas leather seat,I bought this stuff because I googled best leather repair kit and this was one of the suggestions, I liked that it was a simple process because the glue is mixed with the paint, I have brown leather seats and the brown matched almost perfectly without the need for mixing in any other colors! I am 100% satisfied and completely happy with the results! I cant say enough good things about this stuff,it works like its supposed to, I thought I was going to be disappointed because of what some of the other reviews said about it, but I had nothing but positive results and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to repair there leather!.

The color mixing chart is very helpful. I was a little reserved to use this product and viewed several videos to see how to do it. It looked easy and as it turned out it was. I started out with a small worn area on our 10 year old couch.

That turned out well and the color I mixed up matched well. Unfortunately, our 1 year old pup decided to chew on that same couch in a different area. The hole he made was a 2 inch circle. I followed the directions and the result was fabulous.

However, I needed to apply a second layer to the repaired area and did not have enough of the brown and black product to accomplish it. I contacted Fortivo and they graciously supplied me with what I needed, for FREE! I highly recommend this product.
