20 Best Vinyl Weeding Tools (2022 Updated)

I wish I would have bought this when I first got my machine. I got the essentials kit instead and it is fine, but I soon discovered that weeding was going to be a new skill to learn since a lot of the designs I seem to gravitate to are super detailed.

This gives a lot of options and gives you the ability to have others help since you have multiple weeding tools. Great tools for new Cricut owners to help decrease early frustration during the learning process.

I ordered this set to go with my Cricut Maker. I love the tools, I use them not only with my Cricut projects but also they come in handy for my other art creations requiring fine detail work.

I love the tools. I thought what I had worked ok. Wrong. So much easier to weed vinyl with the weeding tools & love the XL scraper 1/2 price of others

The weeder head works great. The handle is way too small for masculine hands. The grip at the top is not secure; it twists on the fibreglas shaft. The grip material is less than ideal (it raises blisters quickly) so wear gloves before starting.

Wouldn’t recommend until they change design specs.

I LOVE this tool, it is the best thing I have found so far for clearing out a thick mass of weeds fast from a garden. I am using this to cut Bishops Weed at the base of the stems to weaken the weed and it is working.

The greatest thing about this tool is it is sharp and the push-pull action allows me to clear out an area FAST. I do keep it sharp by sharpening the blade at least once a week. This is definitely a MUST HAVE tool for all gardeners!.

I found a similar skidger hoe at a garage sale in 1974. It is my constant garden companion. It can shuffle hoe weeds out while you are standing up. And, it can edge a flower bed like a professional. I was so happen to find this new model with a sharper edge and have given them to all my gardening friends.

The best part about this weeder is the ergonomic design and how strong it is. For stubborn weeds with deep roots, you will have to use the tool and your other hand to help pull the weed out whole. This works well with pulling out Bermuda grass growing into your flowerbed especially when the ground is a little wet.

Just be sure to track your Bermuda rhizomes underground so you can be sure to get it all out! I would also recommend pulling any thorny or toxic weeds like horse-nettle with this tool to avoid touching it or injuring yourself with your hands or gloves.

The ergonomic design makes it easier to use with less strain on your wrist. This is surely a keeper for stubborn weeds!.

My last weed puller had a steel tip that was thinner than this one, and it pressed into the soil much easiser and deeper. We have clay soil that gets hard when it is dry. I am not able to push this weed puller down as far in dry soil, so it breaks a lot of the roots instead pulling them out.

The problem with my old weed puller was in the handle. It broke off of the steel portion. This weed pulller feels pretty sturdy, and I think it will last quite a while before it breaks. It’s not the ideal weed puller for me, but it’s the best inexpensive weed puller I found, and I don’t want to spend more money to get the ideal weed puller.

This is a well made weed puller at a reasonable price.

At first I was skeptical as to how useful the tool would be for my needs. This is my second year using the tool for my dandelions on my lawn. I can tell you, it gets all the way down to the roots and takes me half the time as it used to, to do the job.

I also noticed the dandelions are reduced in numbers from the previous year. So, I’m a believer. It saves me time and efforts to remove my weeds. Well worth the money.

bottom line: great product. How dare the maker say such outrageously positive things! Well, they’re absolutely right. Appears to be quality pieces of steel, not junky aluminum or powdered iron. nice bamboo shaft.

Best part is a really smart design for piercing earth around roots of weed and, with lots of leverage from the long handle, almost effortlessly pulling up even really large weeds. Glad i bought this rather than trying to make my own, which would have taken many hours.

I owned one once before. I bought a new one with confidence. I was disappointed. The name is the same but the design different. Most notable is that the fingers inserted in the ground are too long. Trying to pivot the pull over the thing’s thumb is near impossible because of the distance from the finger tips to the ground.

I’m thinking of going to a machine shop and having it modified. I may cut as much as 1-1/2 inches off of the fingers. Costs too much for a lack of serviceability.

I wanted a tool to pull out weeds from my golf course looking home grass. Well I found that tool finally! This tool will save your back and very easy to use. The only thing I don’t like is it’s hard to release the weed from the tool.

They need a release button. You have to flip the tool each time. But let me tell you it’s awesome on grabbing the whole weed to even all the roots. Grab a bag of top soil to replace the small hole the weed left behind.

This Fiskars weeder is amazing. It’s a heavy duty tool with very strong steel and a comfortable handle. It just glides through the dirt next to weeds, twist the handle and the weed pops up. One side of the steel is serrated, so it’s great for dividing plants as well.

This weeder is not your typical lightweight steel that will bend, it’s a very, heavy solid steel, and I can see it lasting a very long time. The handle has sponge around it that seems pretty solid. To top it off, it comes with a life time warranty! I would definitely recommend this Fiskars Xact weeder for all of your gardening needs.

Once I had a practice these tools made the project a lot easier as I had tried tools belong to other machines and did not get the desired outcome. I purchased my machine from John Lewis as it was the best cost at that time, I ordered and collected from the store.

As with all these machines you being to use and find there are tools/accessories that make the project easier. Back to John Lewis as and discovered they now deliver to a local co op. Smooth purchase and collection and all part of the John Lewis good shopping experience,.

Definitely helps ‘weed’ the vinyl lettering and decals. The thick handle make them comfortable and easy to use. The only downside is IF YOU DROP THEM, the fine tips easily bend (and ruin) if they hit a hard floor.

The material the tips are made from is bends easier than a smart phone screen breaks. Not sure why SOME of the ‘tools’ exist. as there really are only a couple that are used 98% of the time. Maybe some different application (than vinyl).

maybe just a different ‘preference’ (like a straight tooth brush vs a slanted)? It would be interesting to see a video as to the BEST WAY to use EACH OF the tools. as maybe there is something to be learned or improved upon.

Suggest working over a rubber mat or carpet, as dropping the picks over a hardwood or tile floor will likely ruin their tips. (You can get a file and resharpen a new tip, but it’s a pain in the rear).

I love how chunky and long the handles are it means I can get a good grip on these. I have hyper mobility and carpel tunnel so stuff like this is usually hard to hold. But between how chunky these are (when compared to a skinny make up brush or pencil for example) and the length it makes them very user friendly for my specific needs.

I find them to be well balanced and ergonomic. They are also an excellent set of tools. Totally fit for purpose you won’t be sorry you have them. They are brilliant. They don’t pull or snag at the vinyl just easily weeds out the bits you don’t want.

There’s tools for bigger pulls and also the teeniest of details. I’m very happy.

I purchased this weeding tool kit for my granddaughter so she can use it when she uses the Cricut Joy machine that I purchased. She loves to weed iron on vinyl. I already have this weeding kit and she needed one to use at the same time.

I haven’t given it to her yet but since it is one I already have, I figured I could write a review on it.

My only complaint about these tools is the duplicates. One of the weeding tools is the same as the one one in the Basic set, which I have. And I’m guessing the paper piercer is duplicated in the Paper Crafting set.

Only a minor gripe, but it does seem a little wasteful. Other than that I love my new tools! Just started working with Cricut Adhesive Foil and boy did these tools help. For my first project I went all out and designed something super fiddly.

I think out of the whole set, I seem to use only two of the tools, the fine tweezers and the little hooky weeder. Despite the duplicate tool, I’m really glad I got this set and the quality of Cricut products is well worth the initial cost.

This cricut weeding tool is such a handy, essential piece of a equipment you’ll need while crafting with your cricut. It’s lightweight and comfortable just like holding a pen. It has a great angled, sharp pointed head that gets the tiniest bits of cut outs from your products.

This is my go to tool to do all my weeding and the feature of this tool is if you pull off the coloured end, it has slots in it for you to scrape your tool along to take off and collect the tiny bits of vynle stuck to your tool.

It never hurts to have more than one weeder tool! My daughter can weed way faster than I can. Likely because she has better eyesight! It is great to have more than one to make the personalized crafts come to life faster.

Fine tip for precise weeding but handle is difficult to grip. It is wide and flat which feels awkward. (Think contractor pencil verses regular pencil) it’s just a bit too chunky for my liking.

The only bad thing about the SiserWeeder is the clear protector cap is so easily lost. It should be a bright color or fit on the other end when using the tool. Otherwise this is my ultimate favorite weeding tool.

So easy, so sharp, it gets all the intricate bits! Love it.

Oh my gosh this weeder tool is a life saver. The shape of this tool helps with weeding your vinyl. I figured all weeders are the same but no that is not true. You really need to get this weeder, it is worth the cost.

It is plenty sharp on the end to pick those unwanted pieces or small hard pieces to get. The shape of the tool also helps you swoop up the vinyl.

SO AWESOME! I never knew I could use this to get my paper out of the dies! Wonderful for detailed dies. 5 stars!

I am honestly very happy with this purchase. The ability to change the tip saves space in my overflowing crafting boxes. It even fits in the maker and explore air compartments. It’s easy to use and the straight stabbing stick is by far my favorite for getting the small vinyl pieces.

This tool works great for weeding vinyl and cardstock. I had a cheaper one but it wasn’t strong enough sometimes. Love this one!

I am very happy with this tool. My daughters have a cricut and they cut things out for me so I wanted my own weeding tool. It is nice to have a spare>

I tried using manicure scissors or something with a pointy edge and it didn’t work out too well . The cricut weeder saved the day ! It lifts the unwanted pieces from the design easily .

I had a dandelion puller on my Christmas wish list, amd preferably a stand-up one if such a thing existed. Thankfully, the one my husband got me was this one. I love it! Very heavy duty and simple to used.

We recently moved and the house came with lots of landscaping where I find dandelions next to plants I want to keep and not damage. This bad boy just easily and quickly pulled all 40-50 or so out of the front landscaping, getting at least 1-2″ of the tap root probably 75% of the time.

Several times when it ‘missed’, probably due to bad placement on my part, I could reach into the hole and pull the taproot myself. My front landscaping has some some dirt, some gravel, and some areas with that creepimg juniper type stuff that has wood branches all over the ground, which provided a challenge, but if I could move the branches enough to get a clear shot at the dandelion, this bad boy worked.

Now my summer landscaping maintenance doesn’t seem so bad. Yay!!!.

This is not long enough to pull out any roots, so you’re just wasting time pulling the top part/leaves off as they will grow right back. I was previously using the Fiskers which worked great, but it had plastic in the design and ended up breaking.

I thought this would be a great replacement since it has an all metal design, but I have tried this on about 20 or so dandelions and similar weeds and haven’t pulled out a single root yet. The tongs at the bottom aren’t sharp or long enough to dig deep enough to pull out an entire weed.

only the above ground portion. I have stopped using it completely and it’s just a fixture in my garage at this point. It’s not worth the time using it. Wish I would not have spent money on it.

I was skeptical, but when I got it I noticed the all steel construction. I immediately used it after a good rain. Removing weeds was so easy. Set it over the week, step down on it and pry the weed out.

Then push the plunger to release the weed in a bucket and reset the mechanism. I pulled hundreds of weeds in an hour without straining my back. Neighbors walking by kept asking about it, cars slowed and watched me popping weeds.

Seriously, this is a great tool – just use it on a soaked dirt to make it nearly effortless.

Well built. Comfortable handle. Very fast weed removal without bending over or spraying weed killer.

I want to say this tool is my 2nd favorite of all my gardening and outdoor clean up tools my 1st would be my battery operated worx blower I use instead of sweeping but I just love how easy it is to dig up weeds with this.

The product is well-built however the prong at the end is too narrow to work with efficiently, needs to be wider.

On its very first use trying to get a dandelion out of the lawn the tool got totally bent. This tool is useless.

Stand up and weed! I do have to use my foot as a fulcrum most of the time but it’s so much easier and faster that I weed more often and the yard looks dandelion free almost every day.

So much easier on the back with the long handle. It got the dandelions out with use and other weeds also. The quality seems good as of now and the price was ok for what it does.

I’m 66, with long time problems with osteo-arthritis and this weeder is wonderful for me. I used to have to get on the ground and dig out the dandelions by hand, then slowly move to the next spot. It took hours, just to do a smallish back yard.

Now with the weeder and a plastic tub I cleared my much bigger front yard in much less time and didn’t have to get up and down. A real back saver!.

Works just like I remember. My grandfather, born in 1894, had one of these. He taught me much about yard maintenance as a kid. Even though I was not a fan, the lessons stuck. I moved to a new subdivision in SW Texas for retirement.

These lawns are full of broadleaf weeds, even though all are sod brought in by truck. Lived in KY for 20yrs, and saw the overuse of Roundup by farmers. I knew that this was a better way to go. My nephew loves it.

There’s a review here somewhere in which the reviewer relates that when he finished his yard, he’d been having so much fun, he found himself regarding his neighbor’s yard. Excactly my experience. I’m 80 years old and bending and kneeling and standing up again is a drag.

This weeder was powerful and sturdy. Fun for the entrie family. Great for use in flower beds! The release mechanism takes some getting use to. You have to remember the deeper you the pedal into the ground the more force it will require to release the weed from the tool.

So for small weeds you only need to apply a small amount of pressure to extract the weed. Also the large hole afterwards made me uneasy. So for use in grass I was hesistant as I didn’t know how to address the large holes left behind.

But for my garden bed the tool was excellent.

Excellent service. Ames makes the best garden tools in the United States. This Stand-Up Weeder will get extract those nasty Johnson grass roots. This is a terrific tool. Walmart got this to me expeditiously.

I had read about this tool in other blogs. Apparently this was resurrected and now sold at B M stores. Its got the problem of not discharging the weed just pulled Sticks badly. The lever seems not to be engaging.

Not sure if this is worth the trouble if you have clay soil. Or nasty weed grass.

These are amazing. I thought at first they would be like any other weeding tool, but they seriously make it so much easier, especially to catch the corner to even get started. I highly recommend these to anyone looking to spend less time and frustration on wedding their projects.

I prefer these tools over my Cricut ones. I can weed through my vinyl cuts much more quickly. And the tweezer grips without damaging the vinyl or messing up my cut out.

Easy to use. It is the first tool ive ever used for weeding and it did the job nicely. I havent the need for anything else so far.
