20 Best Visors For Speedflex (2022 Updated)

Shipped on 10/5/20 and writing this on 10/18/20. shipping was fast. visor was a bit challenging to install on speedflex helmet but fit was acceptable. first game came home with one light and one heavy scratch just across the right field of vision.

second game was in the mid 40s and dry but my son had to remove this at halftime in order to play as it kept fogging up. He said in the second quarter, he had to tip his head up to look under the visor or he could not even read a jersey number.

So much for the third bullet on the box bragging “anti-fog performance and scratch-resistant durability”.

Super clear shield. A little difficult to get it exactly where my son wanted it placed and angled but with Dad’s persistence and a little elbow grease he was able to get it the exact angle. It has held in place without any movement and has the perfect “cool factor” my son was looking for while protecting his eyes from debris and from the sun glare.

When it’s clean it’s so clear I often forget I’m wearing a visor. My complaints are it fogs very easily and is of the visors I’ve owned is probably the worst when it comes to fogging up. One of the clips also broke off mid game on contact.

I bought this visor yesterday at the Oakley store in the mall. I love how it looks but I put the visor on my speedflex to see how it looks, I then later took it off my helmet to change the logo stickers to white.

And the visor is already scratched on both sides above the hole where the clips go, just from adding and removing the visor from the helmet. For how good you guy’s products are I am very unimpressed.

When you think of Oakley the first thing that comes to mind is quality. That’s exactly what this face shield is and the visual when mounted is clean with no distortion. It’s nice that you get a selection of colored decals to change for matching team colors.

I bought this Z Leader Visor for my 7 year old son who plays quarterback, wide receiver and free safety for style and protection. I did lots of research and quickly determined that for the value and price, Z Leader made sense especially if he didn’t like the feel of a visor.

Well, he loves it! Its easy to install and required no dismounting of the face mask. I originally installed this visor on his Schutt Hybrid DNA youth helmet (fits perfect) and eventually installed this same Z Leader visor on a 2013 Xenith X2 youth helmet (had some challenges but made it fit with some muscle).

The downside however is that this visor does scratch easily even when you baby it as recommended with a sunglass cloth and plain water as a cleaning agent. I would suggest removing the visor and running it over water to remove mud to best avoid scratching.

But, despite this reality all visors scratch at some point and for $19 dollars, replacement is inexpensive. You may want to consider buying two visors for $38 and replacing it halfway through the season (or as needed) and yet still pay less than most visors.

I will be buying only Z Leader from here on!!!.

I bought this product for my son and he said that he likes it. My only complaint is, this item came without instructions. Therefore, it took me over an hour to put the visor on. I had to go on YouTube for help.

Unfortunately, YouTube wasn’t as helpful but what little information I did get, helped me figure out how to put the visor on, correctly. If this product came with instructions, I would have given it “five” stars instead of “three”.

WORK’S GREAT AND LOOK GOOD ON MY SON’S RIDDELL HELMET. ONLY EXCEPTIONS IS THE STYLE FACEMASK HE HAS. I COULDN’T USE THE MOUNTING BRACKETS ON THE SIDE. OTHER THAN THAT I’M VERY PLEASED WITH THE ITEM. ORDERING A SECOND ONE FOR MY MIDDLE SCHOOL SON, AND ALSO OTHER PLAYER PARENT’S OF MY 8 YR OLD SON TEAM ARE ORDERING ALOS.

I no longer have this visor to take a photo but I purchased it for my son’s football helmet and he liked it. It was a great visor and was durable and easy to wipe off and clean.

The best visors in the business the only one that even begins to compete with it is the Oakley brand. Keeps fingers and glares out of your eyes

The visor fight the Riddell Adult Speedflex perfectly. I had a youth one that scratched pretty easily, though. This one is a champ, and while Under Armour Stock is in the dumps, they still have good stiuff!.

I purchased this product but what was delivered was a Nike 1. 0 eye shield rather than the 2. 0 eye shield shown here. Although it wasn’t the eye shield I ordered it is still good quality and fits my helmet well.

I’m assuming there was a mix up in the labelling of this product and hope to see a change in the near future.

This is a good product but the shield should be scratch resistant. My son wore it for 2 games and the shield is completely scratched. However, it protected his broken nose so he could finish out the season with his team.

My grandson wanted a visor ofr football for the new school he is atgending this year. Since bhis old school would never allow them. He will use it this friday at the there first game but he seems happy w the purchase.

The visor is good quality. I bought it just for a helmet display. The helmet has a custom grill, the bars of the grill are very close together so I couldn’t use the provided grill mounts(used black zip ties).

I have several pro football helmets the this grill would have worked perfectly with.

Listing stated it would fit youth and adult helmets, found out that wasnt exactly true. But was able to force into place for now, itll clearly fit on a bigger helmet

Fits good and looks great the pictures dont do it justice. You can still see the eyes through the visor which is good bc I can still wear it in game but still gives a good mirror effect

One season in and the visor works great, fit my adult sized riddell speed, didnt fog up even when played in the Texas humidity, dont break the bank on Oakley visors, elitek has you covered !

First let me say that RevZilla shipped my order right away and it arrived promptly. I have several helmets and have purchased dark visors for all, three different brands. All of the other visors I have purchased shipped with the cling type film covering the visor for protection that easily comes and off leaves no residue.

The Scorpion visor shipped with a material that seemed to have a sticky residue. I have tried cleaning with hot soapy water and a microfiber cloth and cannot get it clean. The microfiber cloth even sticks to the inside of the visor when trying to wipe it down.

It has left a film that makes it seem like you are looking through a haze. Not what I expected based on the quality that Scorpion is supposed to have with their visors. Not sure if I just received a defective visor but have never had this happen before going back to any helmet I have owned in the last 40 years since I bought my first street legal motorcycle.

RevZilla is a great company, just think they sent me a dud.

Bang for the Buck- A SNELL rated helmet at the $200 price point. cant beat it. Also has emergency pull tabs for liner removal (hopefully we never need it, but a nice safety feature to have). Protection- Cross my fingers luckily i havnt had the ability to test this yet, but it carries a SNELL/DOT rating, so rest assured it will do its job.

Features- Maybe im being knit picky because there isnt much wrong with this helmet, but there is no drop down visor so you need to buy a tinted face shield for those bright sunny days, but again carrying a SNELL rating this thing is ment for the track, not to appease your stylish needs.

Comfort- Incredibly comfortable, and a fairly light helmet. Style- Not the best looking helmet on the market, but nowhere near the worst. Ease of Install- Ready to go out of the box, face shield switching system is extremely easy on and off.

My only overall concern with the helmet is the occasional dust coming/tiny debrees coming into the helmet. It isnt bad but at highway speeds if there is something in front of me kicking up any dust it definitely comes through the helmet, more so when the chin vent is wide open even though it has a filter.

Also at high speeds wind seems to creep through the sides of the face shield, but again nothing to major and its above and beyond what i expected for $200. Airflow is great otherwise on hot days, not too much wind noise.

Even with an inner visor there are times I need more light reduction. And I’ve always liked the look of mirrored visors so I gave this one a try and I like the results. Qualitatively this visor provides about half the light reduction I get from the inner visor so when combined I can pretty much drive directly into high sun with no issues.

(30 minutes from sunrise and sunset are still a problem but that’s just my overly light sensitive eyes. ) The visor change is quick and easy so as long as I have the clear one with me changing over for night riding is never an issue.

Durability is still to be proven but I’m expecting it to be good. I like Scorpion products and have yet to have a problem. Highly recommended if you like the mirrored visor look.

After helping with LTP and realizing five year old’s and stick control don’t go hand and hand I decided to order a visor. I order this visor after reading reviews. This installed easy on my Bauer 4500 helmet the hard wear sent with the visor was easy to switch out and install.

It sits like it’s suppose to. Now I will find out how it is on the ice later this week. But for the use I’m going to have for it I don’t see the issue with the fogging that is in other reviews. Over all happy with the purchase.

Inexpensive, and easy to install so no compilates at this time.

This visor is perfect and works with several Bauer helmets. A visor is required for officiating, but for coaching, with COVID-19 mask on, the breath condensation creates excessive moisture. I will say this: It does not fog up but rather the moisture just gets wet.

This is when using a mask that unfortunately directs breath upward into the visor. So, switching between officiating and coaching I just snap the visor in and out. Very easy to do, and it is in place and doesn’t move once snapped in.

This visor is high quality and works with several different Bauer helmets.

Not a fan of the way this attaches to an older helmet – sure, it’s adjustable so you can get it right where you want it in front of your eyes, but a hard hit will probably move it out of place and you’ll spend the next bench shift trying to get it back to where you want it.

Move up a level to a shield with a more solid mount — or get ready to tighten the living crap out of this thing and suffer the possibility of cracking the shield while installing.

We had previously ordered the orange visor. When we opened the bag with our order everything was good except we received another orange visor. We are very happy with the quality of the product.

Looks great on helmet and seems to be great quality. It would be helpful if there were multiple holes to allow more flexibility for attaching to a face mask.
