20 Best Vita Dungeon Crawler (2022 Updated)

I was a little bit apprehensive about buying this game to start with, I wasn’t sure how a handheld version of the amazing Batman Arkham series would translate over. Having played it now, I can say its a mixed bag, but worth trying out especially on offer price.

The main pro is that they haven’t just stuck the Arkham name onto something that is not anything to do with the franchise, what you have here is a mini arkham game, with detective vision, silent predator rooms, and beatdown combos with mobs of enemies just like the games on the consoles.

The story is pretty good and graphically its quite impressive, but nothing groundbreaking. Voice acting is spot on, and plenty of collectables to keep you going. Unfortunately the con in a way is that all of this is realised in a 2.

5d side scroller similar to that of Doctor Who The Eternity Clock. The fighting sections do not feel as fluid as that of their console counterparts, nor do the silent predator areas. There is a lot of backtracking and most of the rooms can look similar so you can get lost quite easily.

All in all id say its a really good attempt at making this franchise appear on the handhelds, but if you are expecting a like for like with the other games in the franchise just in miniature, you may end up disappointed.

Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate is a 2 1/2 d game as opposed to 3d. That is very disappointing. The combat of it is dumbed down and has none of the frenetic high speed action of its console peers. Uncharted Golden Abyss and Assassins Creed 3 proved that you can create a comparable 3rd person experience on a handheld platform.

This not to say it’s devoid of charm. It just seems like it was thrown together at the last minute to coincide with the release of Arkham Origins. If you’re not a huge Batman fan you might want to check out a video review before purchasing.

It’s definitely not for everyone.

I have been playing lego batman and batman 2. This game is not those. It like playing a live action batman movie. Fun cut scenes and good voice acting. Not simple like the lego games. You will need to be on your toes to guide batman in to fights, chases and crime fighting in the streets and buildings above Gotham city.

Lots of game play for the money.

Great game and it’s sad to think how underapreciated the vita is. I have a nice collection of games and they r great and the experience is different then on my ps4 its more personal and the screen is beautiful.

Sony r a great company they make great products and I think a future without another Sony handheld for me is a sad thing to think about. The end of Sega making consoles was sad and choosing mobile games over real games is something ppl will eventually regret cause those games r not like the great games u get on a dedicated handheld and the Nintendo switch is massive not really a portable is it also Mario and the rest of the childish games.

Not a fan of, give me resident evil anyway. Tho not a review of the game exactly.

In my opinion this is the best handheld dungeon crawler game to date. Not overly complex, but still plenty of items to make for dozens of hours of fun gameplay. Jumping online to matchmaking co-op is also a huge plus and there are still people active online for this game.

Great game. I highly recommend it, especially at such great pre-owned prices.

This is an amazing game with an amazing plot. I think this is one of the best vita releases. This is a Wonderful Adventure that makes you really feel ingrained in the experience. It has a classic tale experience of a Prince and his beloved twisted into a more darker turn, that makes you want to know what the next turn is! A definite pickup Awesome!.

So the game was okay, but the issue is I got it originally thinking I could play with my friends. But due to me having a ps4 and them having a Nintendo switch mini we can’t play together. The graphic are good and plays well.

But i would be happier if I could cross play with other systems. I would definitely recommend the game, but if you want to play with friends make sure that you have the same system.

My nephews got this for Christmas on their PS3 and asked me to come play. Up until then, I’d seen this game on the shelves, but had no interest in it (I blame the logo – I don’t know what it was about it that seemed lackluster).

AFTER playing it with them, I was immediately checking where I could get it, which was difficult following Christmas. I was able to secure this copy and have been playing with them online or at their house several times a week since then.

A note about online play – PS4 requires use of Playstation Plus, which I had no interest in. I signed up for a 2-week trial while I searched for the PS3 version of the game because PS3 doesn’t require any paid service for online play.

Either way, though, I was able to play with my nephews as the game supports cross-platform play – you can have a mix of PS4 and PS3 players all on the same online game. When playing by myself, I prefer the PS4 version.

When playing with others, I just upload my character and my map to the cloud (a Terraria feature), then download them onto the PS3 (mine for online or others’ for local play). I wrap up our games by uploading my character and map back to the cloud so that I can get that progress downloaded onto my PS4.

This game is awesome and everything about it makes for really fun multiplayer, whether local (my preference) or online. There’s tons to explore and do, along with loads of different tools, tactics, and adventures.

I highly, highly recommend this game.

After seeing friends of mine laugh and have a blast while playing Terraria, I decided to purchase this game because it seemed like I was missing out on all the fun. Fortunately, I made a great decision, a decision that was worth every penny.

For someone who enjoys playing games that involve exploring and creativity, this game fits these two things/interests perfectly. I loved being able to roam around finding resources in order to make weapons such as the Excalibur.

The multiplayer experience was incredible, I was able to play online with smooth gameplay without having someone’s connectivity status interrupt or cause the game to lag. However, what I did not like so much is that other players can come into your world, take your stuff and leave with the items.

But the overall the positives, such as the free roam experience, greatly overshadow the smallest of problems and worries such as the one previously stated. If you are into games that involve extensive exploring and creativity, I would strongly recommend you to try out this game.

Great dungeon crawler. I see many hours of life wasted in this, ha ha. If you like crawlers, this is a must. Starting is difficult but as you level up it gets better.

Back in the old school days, a great story line was essential to an RPG. Not so much anymore. That is why the TRAILS OF COLD STEEL series stands out. One of the most compelling & continuing story lines ever to grace an RPG.

You get to know a myriad of characters intimately. The graphics are not anything to marvel at, but it is the story and the fun turn-based combat, that puts you deep into the world of Erebonia. Be prepared for a leisurely paced game, with tons of spoken dialogue.

But, how else to get to know all the characters. It boasts the best written script of any RPG, and I have been playing them since the 80’s. There are 3 installments so far, with the 4th coming this Autumn.

I can’t wait! I am old school, and prefer a great turn-based RPG over mindless hack N slash any day. You will find a better price for this game on the ‘other’ online store. Experience the world of Erebonia, with it’s commoners and nobles.

Its twists and turns in the story, and it’s wonderful characters.

This game wasn’t advertised all that much. It’s from a rather unknown japanese developer. Nice systems in combat; story is actually better than most rpgs. Combat is pretty good. This company’s other games within the same series are pretty solid and this game is pretty dang solid.

SInce it’s on the ps3 the graphics will look a bit dated, but that’s fine. The story and combat are the selling points of the game. The story is like a novel, so it has all the little details that novels have, except it isn’t wordy.

Characters are pretty interesting and some of their backstories have minor story tie ins from previous games in the series.

This game’s story really sucked me in. The world-building is impressive with plenty of cities that all have their own unique histories. It’s wonderful getting to know all of the characters as you slowly learn more about each of them.

The combat system is very fun and has reasonable amount of strategic depth without being cumbersome. The music is also nice, and the voice acting is good when present. However, the game is not going to wow people with flashy graphics.

The visuals are adequate, conveying the information the player needs, but it is clearly not where Falcom spent the majority of their budget. Regardless, the graphics will not hinder a person’s enjoyment of the story or gameplay; the two places where this game really shines.

Snack World, to me, is the prime example of an underdog. It’s an amazing game that quenches the thirst for a gacha game without the need of spending loads of money. Its writing and charm can entertain adults and teenagers alike, and it’s such a vibrant and color rouge-like rpg where everything feels like fun.

It pains me to believe that this would be Level-5’s last game ever to be brought over, especially when they had wanted for this game to blow up akin to their previous successful franchise, Yo-Kai Watch, but it’s definitely quite a note to go out on.

Typically you’ll find this game for around $20 or even $10, and to that I say, if you love yourself? Pick this up at that price. It’s a lovely timewaster that I deeply wish others would be able to try.

It might not be for everyone, but it’s definitely something worth trying just once or twice.

It’s not a bad game, but not great either. I originally purchased it because it looked very similar to Fantasy Life from the 3DS. The combat is somewhat similar, but feels worse and harder. Not to mention, the story and atmosphere are 100% more childish.

The “style” gimmick also makes it more difficult to figure out what equipment is worth having or not. Having multiplayer does redeem the game a very slight bit, but, in general, i’d say it’s not worth it.

However, if you liked the anime and didn’t find it too childish, maybe this game is right for you.

This game is surprisingly fun. It’s fairly casual, though I wouldn’t say that it’s something you could mindlessly progress through since there are some difficult aspects to the game. Overall, it is very nicely balanced in terms of difficulty and reward for clearing the difficult content.

Dungeons and stages reset allowing you to continually re-experience content and grind for the best gear! There are also some online aspects that include co-op and online trading of gear/weapon, but those aren’t required to enjoy the game.

Minecraft Dungeons was a fun game that I enjoyed playing. Although I admire the charm it has and the time and attention they put into creating, there are certain things I would like to have modified or changed with this game.

The first is that the nine levels are far too short. Only spending 30 minutes on a task instead of a couple of hours isn’t the best deal for a $20 game, and if you have a fully equipped build like I have, you can finish an objective in half the time.

Furthermore, this game requires more diversity and depth. Each level, as well as each level’s sub-levels, include more puzzles to solve.

I love minecraft dungeons. Its my all time favorite game. Some levels are a little challenging on apocalypse mode but overall its so much fun to play. I love searching for the secrets and the chests.

The new tower is a little hard but still fun overall. I love the unique items you can collect and now gift to friends. I have to say if you’ve never played this before I insist that you try it. I might be an adult but this game is awesome.

This game is just poorly mediocre. Definitely not a “real” Minecraft game- there is no building or personal creativity and freedom in this game. It’s just an overhead adventure game based on “quests” and “missions”.

The concept for the game is ok, but the lack of creative freedom Minecraft is known for is what brings it down. So glad I didn’t pay the extra $10 for the bonus content version as this game isn’t really worth the $19.

99 plus tax that I paid for it. I shouldn’t have expected this game to be much after the Minecraft Story Mode flop. Thank God, I still have the real, original Minecraft to fall back on as well as Terraria and Starbound.

I Bought this game – Trails of Cold Steel 2 because it is game 2 (obviously :-p ) out of 3 games. When I first bought it, I had bought it from Gamestop because I trust that particular associates taste in games, he said I would enjoy it he also told me it was sort of hard to find especially at the price I was going to acquire it at.

They also happened to have yhr 3rd game in stock as well. Anyways I bought both games with the “Eventual plan” to buy the second online, because it was not available. I figured I would get to it eventually.

What I did not llan for was that I would FALL HEAD OVER HEELS FOR THE SERIES, T. O. C. S. 1 was probably one of the 3 best RPG’S I have EVER PLAYED IN MY 30+ YEARS OF GAMING. I have mastered the RPG genre, and despite parts of the game being kind of gawdy and childish it amazed me down to the core.

The story grabbed me and hooked me deep and took me for a totally unexepected ride. I would consider TOCS to be one of very few games I would call a WORK OF ART, instead if just a typical game to beat on.

It’s story was deep, and made sure you felt a connection to the characters, well written and full of not ONLY action and suspense but a cliff hanger that pushed my planned purchase of its sequel (this game I am reviewing) up to “right away” lol I look forward to plowing through the rest of this trilogy.

Therr is no doubt in my HIGHLY experienced mind that this game Sony blow me away as #1 did. If by chance I dislike this title I will update my review, but there is little to no chance of that happening.

The Legend of Heroes have been around for decades but only in the 2000 onward it has gain the acclaimed it deserved. The execellent Trails of the Sky Series was a great example of that. Trails of Cold Steel 2 is the sequel to Trails of Cold Steel which it self is a “spin-off” of Trails of the Sky.

Trails of the Cold Steel is good and I liked it but I dnt love it. Cold Steel 2 feels pretty much the same but with a new magic gimmick that kinda flimsy at best. The other combat content added was better.

What carried the game for me was it’s characters. The character never felt too out there or too grandiose but thats the appeal to it. They are kids born/put in a not so great scenario and the bonds they create with each other really drive home the game.

Overall if your looking to get into the cold steel series start at trails of the sky and work your way through everything until you reach cold steel since the stories are very closely related and are chronologically not far apart.

But had you heed my warnings or just finished Cold Steel 1 know I do not personally love this game but is charmed by its characters and story. Score 7/10 Best Girl: Sara Valestein Best Boy: Jusis Albarea.

Trails of Cold Steel 2 picks up right where the Original Trails of Cold Steel left off. Lost and alone you’ve been separated from your friends and have to go find them. You have new enemies, more companions to team with and new challenges.

And the boss fights are even crazier. Now we just gotta hope they bring out Trails of Cold Steel 3 over here. I can’t read japanese.

I’ve been looking for this game for quite some time and have had no luck finding with it a trustworthy source. So many have tried to gouge the price of this game. Not only did DK Oldies have it but they offered a fair price for it.

The game looked amazing and was exactly as described. The shipping was crazy fast! Thank you for helping me find a game I’ve loved and haven’t been able to find.

Case and manual were both high quality. Disc itself had been dislodged on inside, required cleaning. Also, a VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: PS3 DLC for this title, (Costumes, characters Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath) is not available! If that is a dealbreaker, then it’s best you stick to later-generation versions, like PS4 and XBox.

The new characters are pretty varied in terms of fighting styles as well as usefulness. Aside from one returning character from Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Strider Hiryu, the rest of the added characters are brand new to the series.

The line-up ranges from solid new characters like Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, and Frank West (I’m curious why it took so long for them to be featured on the roster), and the customarily weird additions, like Rocket Raccoon and Phoenix Wright.

Phoenix Wright’s inclusion feels like pure fan service and he isn’t particularly adept at fighting (his moves mostly consist of chucking papers around and falling on the ground), but the remaining newcomers are actually pretty good.

This is a action RPG spin off to Valkyria Chronicles with a much larger emphasis on spells and swords rather than tanks and guns. Though it is closer to Dynasty Warriors than the (mostly) turn based strategy of the last game, it is about as fun and deep in it’s own way.

The story is darker and more realistic, and there is alot more of it than last time, with cinema’s going on for so long that at times it feels like you are watching a full length episode of an anime.

I have gotten alot of enjoyment out of this game, and it’s one of my favorite titles in the last five years by far. Don’t listen to the haters, because though this game is a big departure for the series, it is executed brilliantly.

PROS: Interesting story and characters Great voice-acting (if a bit anime-esque) CONS: Gameplay is shallow compared to the main Valkyria series, and gets boring after a while. Feels more like Koei’s “Warriors” series (hack n’ slash) Cutscenes are long, drawn out and not very dynamic (wasn’t a huge problem for me, but just be aware of it) Apart from a similar setting, very little in common with Valkyria Chronicles Long length, but doesn’t feel like it needs to be that long (a SLOG).

It’s so disappointing there is no PC port for this or the other games that came before. Idk what sega is thinking. Glad to have had this release though. Beautiful game, beautiful colors, and good story.

Casual fantasy that is set in Snack World, a traditional fantasy world combined with convenience stores, smartphones, and other elements of the modern world. It revolves around the adventures of Chup, a wandering hero with a strong sense of justice, who is determined to get revenge against Large-Scale Leisure Facilities after it destroyed his village in response to the villagers refusing to allow eviction of the village by the former.

Madly in love with King Papaya’s daughter, Princess Melonia, he fulfills her selfish wishes by going on quests, accompanied by an inelegant witch, Mayonna; a muscular warrior, Béarnaise; a goblin-like creature, Gobsan; and a female pig-nosed dragon, Francene.

This is one of the best if not The Best first person Dungeon Crawler JRPGs on the Vita. Still waiting for the sequel. This game is rated M and is full of Fan Service (ie Half clothed anime monster girls) but if you enjoy that or can get passed that, then this is an amazing game.

The story is alright and a little cliche, but the game play is king, the dungeon design is awesome, and the music is great. In this game you can build a party of 5 with plenty of character to choose from, I think close to 20 with the DLC.

The job system is great, most character have 3 tiers with several different paths. This game has a very deep job and party system that becomes very important in the latter 3rd of the game and the post game is great.

This is easily a 100hrs+ DRPG. I bought this game a long time ago on ths PSN Store on sale for around $7 and later bought the DLC for $10, the DLC is worth every penny for the added characters, which increases party customization and it also comes with a Double XP boost equippable, for one character at a time, and an increased item drop rate.

After playing to the endgame, and starting the post game, I loved this game and wanted a physical copy. Luckily it wasnt to hard to find, yet, and I managed to find a sealed copy cheaper than the standard MSRP of $40.

Even though I already owned this game digitally it was still worth a second purchase. Great game with amazing gameplay and deep customization. I hope the sequel 2-2 gets localized and hope the prequel does as well.

Maybe on the PC or Switch? And if this game ever got a re-release on the PC or Switch I would most definitely be buying this game a 3rd time. So if you can get past the fan service then you will find a difficult and deep DRPG that is worth every penny.

While it isn’t the most original or compelling game, it does provide a good amount of gameplay and difficulty. Similar to the Etrian Odyssey games, you fight through dungeons in a first person perspective until the inevitable boss fight.

It does include a levelling system, additional classes, and some VN aspects as well (which can halt gameplay at times). Overall, it is a fun game to play for an hour or so on the couch if you are in the mood for a light hearted RPG that has a slower pace.

Lots of fun, tons of hours to sink into and you get some great CGs. Worth. Calendar is nice too.

This game has a bit of a learning curve, but man o man is it a blast to play once you get the hang of it. The graphics are outstanding and the choice of play style and characters seemly endless. Great pick up and play game for the PS Vita!.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is the refresh of last year’s Calamity Trigger version, featuring new characters, revamping of the fighting system and a new continued story mode and great new console only additions.

There supposedly will be another arcade update later in the year which brings in the console only characters (which are paid DLC add-ons) and further character rebalancing. Pros: + New unique characters with three more available through DLC + Story mode is a great single player experience with a more established story than typical fighting games + New tutorial and challenge modes to help new players learn and improve.

Better experience than Calamity Trigger. Cons: – Not much graphical improvements when compared to Calamity Trigger – Steep learning curve for beginners without using beginner’s mode. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is a great refresh of last year’s Calamity Trigger Additional characters, rebalanced gameplay and new additions to the console versions give it a fresh coat of paint but at the core of it the battle system is unique and offers an alternative fighting game to the Tekken and Street Fighter games currently on the market.

There is quite a steep learning curve and players without a background to Calamity Trigger or Guilty Gear games from the PS2 days will most like likely be lost on what is happening since Street Fighter skills don’t translate well here.

Blazblue is a wonderful, fast paced fighter. Like most fighters, players choose one of several characters from a large roster, each with their own style of play and special moves. However, Blazblue sets itself apart with it’s crazy, unique cast of characters.

Each has a very distinct feel to how they fight, making every character feel like an entirely new game to play.

WOW what a fun game. Bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter and she loves it, actually we all love the game, now she has to share with grandma and grandpa. I love how the game uses the front camera and you can see your room in the background as you fight the bad guys.

You have to actually turn around and up and down, just a super fun game.

Bought this product for my son (8 years old). He loves it. Has a cartoon violence. have to blow up ships and shoot robots with missiles. He can’t put the game down! There is a part which uses the background supplied by the Vita camera for a fight sequence which is surreal.

The robots were coming out of my living room. lol. Highly recommend this game if you don’t mind your little one using a shooter type game.

My Nephew is the age of 6 yrs. old and enjoys it very much. He is a bad little boy hahahahaha (all boy yet he “thinks” he’s a grown man hahahah) so the name in itself fits perfectly (Little Deviants) and just knew this game would be a WINNER! I would definitely recommend!.

I never owned a ps2, so owning this one years later was a treat. The games look great and the game is 3D compatible if your TV can do it. This disc contains the 3 ps2 games. They are relatively easy collect-a-tons, great for the kids and adult gamers to enjoy.

The first game is my favorite, its like a non-linear crash bandicoot game, with tons of stuff to collect. Each level has a hidden page of a great robbers book that unlocks new abilities. The second does not have a main overworld, but instead lets you pick different levels that are bigger and more open, similar to a mario game where you go into paintings.

The third one i haven’t played yet. This is the best way to play the original trilogy on HD!.

First and foremost Id like to debunk the idea of wasting money on last generations games solely for the sake of replaying them in High Definition. Ill be the first to admit that picture quality doesnt make the game; but damn does it look purdy! The concept of remastering to keep up with the newest and most innovative consumer electronics is most certainly not a new idea.

Take for example how far weve come in the home entertainment industry and how we have entered a 4th iteration within the last 30 years: VHS -> DVD -> Blu-ray -> 3D. How many of us have replaced our movie libraries when VHS went by the side of the road and DVD was king? How many of us still own a VHS player? Now, with the advent and growing popularity of Blu-ray and the newly introduced 3D technologies, we seem to be cleaning house yet again.

Is the gaming industry really any different? Would they be doing themselves (and us for that matter) an injustice by not following suit? When it comes to the astounding remastering job done with The Sly Collection, I couldn’t put off the chance to share my high satisfaction with it.

This collection is more than a simple compilation as the likes of a trilogy, since it contains the three installments of the series. Actually it provides the thieving raccoon in HD, 3D, trophy support and even the realm of PlayStation Move by the means of mini-games.

Sanzaru Games was the one in charge of the work, which last worked with Sony on the PS2 port of High Impact’s Secret Agent Clank. Sanzaru started out its work on the trilogy with Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, a game that was originally designed to be in 3D, but ultimately only shipped with select levels playable while wearing retro red-and-blue glasses.

For this time around, all is there in the realm of the modern stereoscopic 3D glory. For instance, during an awesome battle against one of the game’s boss fights, it had me squaring off against my foe in a bamboo forest.

It was a good choice — the green stalks really helped drive home the sense of depth, and the colorful, crisp HD visuals made it one of the better 3D experiences I’ve had with Sony’s console.

To put it this way, if you have a PS3 and didn’t play these games on the PS2, you have no excuse not to play them. They deliver the same amazing and almost flawless experience that the original games had with slightly updated HD graphics, 3D support (which I haven’t tried, but even though 3D is a gimmick in my opinion it sounds cool) and trophies too.

The trophy logo is the same for all three games though, which could be a bad thing to some, but that in no way affects how great the originals games are. Platforming for all three games is done very nicely, the worlds and characters are imaginative, and the stories for all three games are good, if not simple.

The good outweighs the bad by a long shot, so I have no choice but to give this extremely great bargain a 10/10.

This game is very addictive with it’s starting intro and the way it sucks you into the gameplay there after. The story begins with you watching as a new sorcerer, after reading a certain book, is killed by the hands of a more demented sorcerer to whom has destroyed the inhabitants around him.

That is when the book falls under your characters possession. The game then later teaches you how to play and tells you what you must do before you take on the same sorcerer yourself, otherwise, you share the same fate.

The game is very unique because it’s your choice to learn as much as you can, or want, because you can face the sorcerer at anytime rather than going through the whole story, but is not recommended. Then there is the key element of the game which is basicly how manage your characters power.

Through which you use elemental items to attack foes in a mystical battlefeild. The different elemental items have there strenghs and weakness along with different type of deployment methods to each items.

Some items are used for melee, long, short & mid-range attacking. There are even special items that allow you to heal yourself [& possibly others], some that allow your sorcerer to move quickly and swiftly to avoid enemy attack or to be a tactical aggressor, and other special attacks [being hard to describe] allow for stronger than normal elemental attacks.

You even have defensive elemental items such as a ice or stone sheild that defends you from certain attacks (but of course not all attacks can always be avoided). You can have a total of six different attacks and they are fully customizable, with the elemental attacks being able to be upgraded to amount of times they can be conjured during your mission.

You can even fuse the items to gain the items you want or needed. Be careful of the items you put together because this is the area where it takes some strategy. Some enemies may be ariel so having only melee weapons would be disastrous or facing an incredibly strong opponent because you unknowingly set weak weapons.

Then later, you can customize your character in different class types, along with minimal customization of you characters face, hair and clothing options. The maps are beautifully crafted, although it may not have the best looking map texures, it’s still a sight to see just like the huge camel in the background of one map, to the waterflow of a huge jug of consistantly endless pouring jug in another (imagination took place here apparently).

As far as I have plaid, there are only a few different types of creatures to fight against such as deformed rats, cats, and crows. There are different bosses, but I have also seen the return of two forms being repetitive.

Although there have been though cases that maps do get reused and there is not that many different types of enemies, the selection of weapons and the way you can be attacking along with easy to learn controls allows the game to be easily addictive.

I still recommend you to give your soul to this game or experince the Demo of the game through the Playstation Network.

Soul Sacrifice is a very good game. It combines creative combat with a creative storyline. It really excels when playing multi-player as there’s nothing quite like sacrificing one of your team mates in order to inflict massive damage on enemies.

There’s quite a lot of polish here as every story feels really dark and sets the tone for the whole game. It’s not perfect however, having played for a number of hours I’ve found myself running over the same areas again and again, and using the same power ups again and again (although there are a lot of powers).

But although this is repetitive, it’s not too bad as you immediately see your rewards (by leveling up). It’s definitely worth getting if you own a Vita and I guarantee you wont have played anything like it.

Soul Sacrifice has great, challenging online battles with plenty of combinations of ‘offerings’ which are basically different weapons and abilities. The game has a sort of Dark Souls feel to mixed with monster hunter with an interesting levelling mechanic.

There isn’t really any exploration in the game however the arena style works really well particularly online. The story is interesting as it takes the form of a book. You can replay quests and re-write the book to take different paths in the story.

I definitely would recommend it, it’s a great vita exclusive title.

I’ve played both a North American and a Japanese version, and I found that they are both worth the price. You can use this grappling hook like weapon for multiple purposes, including healing, defense buffing, and trapping enemies, as well as hooking onto enemies, walls, and pulling objects closer towards you.

Pair that with an interesting premise where you’re a criminal attempting to earn their freedom through service in dangerous missions, donating resources and scrapping weapons, and this game is a must buy regardless of price.

The music is amazing, the gameplay is fantastic (but might take some people time to get used to), and the original concepts make this a standout title.

Pretty coolio action game for the ps vita. The lack of English Dub is slightly annoying since I can’t focus on killing baddies and reading status updates during a fight. Regardless, it’s a cool monster hunter genre game with a very interesting story and gameplay.

I love the dark feel of the game. The tutorial is fairly easy though it is possible you can fail if unlucky. From the first level you will have to start managing your characters ailments and mental health and sometimes its just better to pick a new character until you can upgrade your facilities to remove ailments and such.

There are lots of classes and items and skills to upgrade but it takes time and patience and great strategy of how you manage your characters. My only complaint is I wish there were more enemies. If you want to play a game where you kill everything easily this is not the game for you.

Your characters will get diseased , go crazy , have many different mental and physical illnesses. Take them to the brothel , gamble or go to the pub to take off stress , literally. The systems are fairly deep and if you like a a real challenge and deep systems Id give this a try.

Just dont get attatched to that one powerful character(s)you have there are many who you can replace them.

I absolutely loved this game; brutal, but rewarding difficulty, fantastic voice acting, set in a lovecraftian universe. A must play for fans of challenging, tactical, turn-based RPG’s.

Just boring ..no controlled game play..No true advances. Just repeating same methods over and over.Cant save characters you build up.Game will take over play when losing.

Bought on deal of day for good price. Build your home and defend with creatures. A few different modes to select from to play game. Not bad for what it cost

Fun game with a lot of replay value! Surprisingly good graphics and music! Fun game to play with friends!
