20 Best Vitamix Soup Recipes (2022 Updated)

The machine came well packaged, all parts intact and well protected. Pay attention to that warning on the website that talks about packaging might display product name because mine came in a box with a large printed “Vitamix” on the sides if that is a concern to you.

This machine is the second Vitamix I’ve owned, the last one still works like the day I got it more than 10 years ago, and the only reason I bought this one is because it’s not as tall as the first one and will fit on my kitchen counter.

Also, this one has the second container for grinding dry goods, something I’ve not tried with the original machine. The machine is not your mama’s old 5-speed blender, this thing is VERY powerful and quickly turns the lumpiest stuff into smooth liquid (or powder in the case of dry goods like grains).

When blending something that contains both liquid and solids, it will help you if you note some of the recipes and get an idea of how much liquid/solid ratio you’ll need to get a smooth blend. It’s like when you mix pancake batter.

too little liquid, you get cement; too much liquid, you get soup. This takes a bit of practice to be able to judge how much is right when you start making your own creations, and with this machine, you will find yourself wanting to try new things.

It’s a really useful tool that can do a LOT, probably more than most folks will ever use it for. It’s high quality, long-lasting, and dependable, pretty much everything you want in an appliance that you spend good money for.

I’d give it 6 stars if they allowed more than 5.

I had decided it was time to look at my diet and get into smoothies. There seem to be a lot of options on line so I did a fair bit of research and soon realised that the Vitamix seemed to be the choice of the professionals, many saying they had had one for ten years or so.

Since I like to buy quality, I decided to get a Vitamix. Wow! What a machine! It’s heavy and it’s powerful. I was soon whizzing up great smoothies much quicker and more effectively than I had been able to with my old machine.

Then I discovered the frozen desert. With just a little yoghurt or oat/nut cream as a base, you add frozen fruit and blitz up the best tasting fruity desert imaginable, better than ice cream and far healthier.

It can be frozen for later but goes very hard so needs to be frozen in scoops and allowed to thaw for a bit. Better to serve immediately – though, if you have guests waiting in anticipation, you might want to warn them, this is not a quiet machine on full power.

If you drink a lot of nut based milks, cream and butters, this machine will start saving you money. I have whizzed up some delicious cashew and almond milks for just the cost of the nuts. The cashew cream is delicious poured over breakfast cereal or fruit in place of yoghurt.

The only additional item I found I needed was the specially shaped spatula designed to go down the corners of the goblet and under the blades. It makes it much easier to get the stickier mixes out such as frozen desert and nut butter.

John Lewis don’t seem to stock it at the moment and it is quite expensive. You might also want to buy a cover to keep it clean, I found on with pockets on the side to store the plunger and spatula. Which brings me to cleaning.

You can’t separate the goblet from the blades and any fiddling here negates the warranty – I certainly would not want to try in view of the power of the machine. The recommended method is to add a few drops of washing up liquid to warm water and blitz.

Hmmm. Doesn’t really work. However, I have not found it difficult to clean inside the goblet with classic hot and soapy and a dishcloth. There are other Vitamix machines that offer presets for different foods but it seems that these just control the speed of the blades.

In practice, it is not difficult to get the feel for doing this manually. Larger items like nuts, frozen fruit or ice cubes need slower blades until they are broken up, then you speed up. There are masses of videos on line offering help and advice and some delicious recipes.

Then it’s fun to just get creative.

I had been putting off committing to a Vitamix for some time. I had heard the great reviews, but thought my array of food processors and blenders that I already had were sufficient. I received a Vitamix as a Christmas gift this year and it has completely upgraded my kitchen.

This thing does it all! I truly no longer need any other blending appliance. I have already used it to make nut milks, salad dressings, veggie burgers, and hot soup! I can’t believe the soup setting really yields a warm, ready to eat soup– amazing! I am impressed at how simple and easy to use it is, yet how powerful.

I no longer need to strain anything after blending or pause to shake the container (as I did with my small bullet blender) to ensure everything blends uniformly. I am very impressed with the cookbook that comes along with it, too.

I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, it is definitely my new favorite kitchen item. This blender makes it so easy to add more fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Everyone needs that, so everyone could benefit from a Vitamix.

Well, I hadn’t felt very well today so it was hard to keep food down. I decided soup would be a good idea. So I decided something soft would be good. Mrs. Grass is a pretty good brand. I should have just gotten the regular box because the ratio of broth to noodles was very uneven.

That is understandable given the fact that this box was extra noodles. I was ate probably about half the noodles and all of the broth. It had a good balance of flavor. It wasn’t too salty either like some soups.

I feel better now. So I give it a thumbs up.

This should have been available in the store so I didn’t need to get it online but, I am starting to think that they would rather not have brick and mortar stores. with the price of fuel and expenses central distributors like grocery stores pass on the expenses to the consumers.

I love this soup especially when looking for a light meal. plenty of noodles for 1 serving and very tasty. Easy to store and no can to open. a little preparation needed but easy to do.

This was my favorite soup growing up, I haven’t been able to find it in stores, and was excited to see it here. The only thing is that THERE WAS NO GOLDEN FLAVOR NUGGET as illustrated on the box in the picture! The packages I received didn’t even mention a flavor nugget! Are they no longer included? A piece of my childhood, lost forever.

I bought this product recently, partly to try something ‘different,’ and partly to see if I liked it. I was looking for products that I could store in the pantry for the rare occasions when I just didn’t feel like putting a meal together for myself.

I tend to be a picky eater, so buying pre-made products is a bit of a gamble for me. The soup was good, made even better by the sliced mushrooms I added when I heated it. This would make a terrific quick meal with the addition of a nice, green salad and a slice of crusty bread, but for those times when I really don’t feel like cooking, it would make a good lunch or supper by itself (even without adding anything to it).

This will be one of the soups I will buy to keep a few quick, easy meals in the pantry.

I have tried several of Dr. McDougall’s soups, hoping to find an organic pre-made soup I enjoy. Unfortunately, all of the soups I’ve tasted (Garden Vegetable, Minestrone, Lentil Vegetable) have a bitter, somewhat burnt taste to them.

I don’t know what “spices” they’re using because the label doesn’t disclose that, but the broth is uniformly awful.

We love it! This is our second order of this product. It has so much more ingredient content than any other vegetable soup we’ve tried. Although not organic, it doesn’t contain a lot of chemicals. And the sodium content is decent.

I was really excited when I ordered my Vitamix One, because I was aware of Vitamix’s reputation for having one of the best blenders in the industry. I was frustrated with my inexpensive blender, which was constantly jamming while blending smoothies.

After taking Vitamix’s quiz to determine the best model for me and reading the reviews, I was convinced the Vitamix One would suit my needs perfectly. It has been a disappointment. While it does not jam as frequently as my old blender, it jams 2-4 times every time I make a smoothie, which is almost every day.

I am using standard smoothie ingredients, often Daily Harvest smoothies and adding adequate liquid, so I do not know why my experience has been so different from those of previous reviewers. For me, the price of this blender is not worth the small improvement in performance over my less expensive blender.

Additionally, the noise level is so high that I feel like I need to wear earplugs when I am using it.

For years I’d made my morning smoothie with a NutriBullet – that’s all I used it for, and a Vitamix seemed like overkill. Also, I don’t have much counter space. I worried that the Vitamix would be about the same, but maybe louder.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised! The Vitamix makes a better smoothie, no question. The same smoothie I’ve had every morning for years is way better, way smoother, easier to blend. Also, the Vitamix is quieter than the NutriBullet! I wish I’d bought it years ago – really a great product.

I switched from a Ninja blender because I hate the long blade “stem” that takes up the middle of the blender. It makes it difficult to mix with a spoon and clean the side of the blender. So I was stoked to see a more affordable Vitamix.

The Vitamix makes a much better smoothie, super creamy and overall great texture. My only gripe, and it is a big one, is the automatic shut off to prevent over heating. I never had trouble with my Ninja overheating, and I could use it for a long time.

The Vitamix turns off constantly. When making smoothies for my boyfriend and I, it takes like 20-30 minutes because the blender turns off 2-3 times and you have to wait for it to cool down. Then you get another couple minutes before it does it again.

I was tempted to return the blender because of this, but since I really do prefer the quality of the smoothie or whatever else I make in it, I am going to keep it. But it is super annoying.

recently purchased a Vitamix blender and wanted a hard copy to refer to as well as the on line recipes. I like the color photos which accompany most recipes. The pages are glossy and look hard wearing.

Lots of great recipes from the great grand daughter of the inventor of VitaMix. Helps with becoming a power user with your machine that is more than a blender.

This was right on time. My mother has been asking for deviled eggs and so when I opened this book there was a recipe. It worked out great and we are making it again for New Year’s eve. It is very creamy and tangy.

A beautiful picture book with helpful entertaining hints and good solid recipes. I will order more copies to give away with wedding vitamix gifts!

I love the layout of this book. A good book to give a few recipes for each course and to show the range of things that these machines can do. I wish there were a few more savory recipes than sweet, but mostly it is a good variety.

The beginning gives a good overview and intro to the pro machine, but easily applied to any full sized machine.

I bought this for my son. I had the Vita mix 750 and bought the new Ascent 3500 for fewer containers and the ability to be able to make smaller quantities since its just 2 of us at home now. When I asked him if he wanted the 750, he said “no”.

But I told him to ask his wife. They have made all their baby food for their last two children and now have a new baby. It wasn’t 5 minutes before he text me back and said, “yes we want it!” Seems like his wife knows more than him.

He grinds his own corn for grits, makes his own flour and bread for communion at church. I’ve been trying to educate him since this is my third vita mix. Great book for learning!!!.

I’ve had my vitamin for 19 years!!!! It finally stopped working today. Sad moment. It has provided perfectly puréed baby food, drinks, smoothies, soups, made bread and dough and much more to mention.

This machine is perfectly crafted in every way. It’s the only choice in mixing , blending and creating. My 3 children have never known life without a vitamin. So to hear the silence of the motor today was shocking.

This is a nice compact, paperback cookbook that is easy to use in the kitchen. It has a an informational section at the beginning that covers basic information about the Vitamix wet and dry blade containers, grinding coffee beans and whole wheat flours, and tips on bread and pie crust making, as well as a cooking guide for cracked grains.

The included recipes are very varied and include cereals, quick breads, yeast dough breads. It also includes recipes for butters and dry rubs. Finally, there is a handy Troubleshooting section at the end of the book to which you can refer if you run into trouble with your breadmaking.

This is a very useful, compact book which you will use again and again. Happy Baking!.

I bought this book together with a Smart Vitamix A3500. I do not like this book because it is heavy, thick, pages with sharp edges, includes 3 more languages. English, which I use, occupies only 1/4 of all pages.

The book is difficult to handle while cooking. I am sure there is no point to buy such a cookbook without a Dry container, which I do not have. Text in English is orientated on the USA users (names of ingredients, etc).

I use a cookbook included with A3500 Vitamix. I actually do not need “Whole Grains”. Waist of £££££.

I just received my new Vitamix with the Dry Container – Excited to grind my own coffee beans. The instructions state to use “2 cups (400 g)” – 1 cup of coffee beans weigh approximately 82 grams – 400 g of beans fills the entire container and well over 2 cups.

Where is the editor/proofer?.

it’s not always easy to find good tasting gluten free products but this was excellent! I didn’t have salsa in the house as a required ingredient in the recipe, so I substituted the Konex Foods roasted pepper appetizer spread (pinjur) that I buy at Big Lots as well.

The soup turned out so good.

This soup mix is great. I usually add a cup of frozen corn, black beans and 1 lb of chicken so I can get two meals for 3 adults. My only problem is with Walmart’s packaging. I’ve made three food purchases from Walmart recently and the items are packed horribly.

Every time items were busted open and ruined. They wrapped jars of marinara in brown paper then put them in a box with 5 lbs of flour and a box of oatmeal without any padding. You can probably guess what happened.

The mess was leaking out when the mail person left the box on my porch. Not going to do it again, even with lower prices.

I was a little skeptical at first, but made with unsalted chicken broth and homemade crockpot chicken. It was delicious!! Served with homemade tortilla crispies and Acevedo. Would recommend 10/10

I’ve been seeing Vitamix commercials since I was a kid in the 70’s and wanted to get one in my 20’s but just could not afford it at the time. Instead, I got the usual standard $30 blenders over the past few decades.

In my 30s I got my first “juicer”. a popular infomercial juice extractor and was making my own juices for a few years with that, until I realized I wasn’t taking advantage of the “whole” fruits and vegetables, so I moved onto whole juicing with four different brands of juice/smoothie type machines that each only lasted a couple of years.

I was wasting money on wannabe Vitamix blenders over so many years. So, in November 2017, I looked again at Vitamix during an on-air special on a popular home shopping show that Vitamix sells on. With the affordable price & six payments, I decided it was the right time to take the plunge and finally get a Vitamix for myself for Christmas.

I’m so glad I did (I got the black. ). When I first tried out my 7500, I could tell it was noticeably quieter than the other popular smoothie blenders I had used in the past and the one I still had. When I say “quieter”, I don’t mean it’s “quiet”.

I mean that it’s definitely quieter than other blenders, but it IS a blender and is not going to be totally “quiet”. I’m comparing the sound of my Vitamix to my previous “nutri-” type blenders/juicers.

the Vitamix 7500 is definitely quieter than those. I got the model 7500 due to the shorter height to fit on the counter, under our upper kitchen cabinets. But, because our upper cabinets have a 3/4″ lip that drops down, I can’t leave the lid on my 7500 and slide it all under the cabinet, nor easily place the container with lid on the machine while it’s under the cabinet.

No problem, I just turn the 64oz container upside down, place it on the machine and then place the lid on the container “bottom” that’s now facing up. The whole unit slides under the upper cabinet perfectly.

The recipes I make the most are juices and soups, but I have done almond butter, ice cream, pesto, and sorbet, just to name a few. I make juices with many different ingredients, like lots of raw spinach, frozen berries, apples off our Gordon Apple tree, ginger, and flax seed.

For the liquid, I add Crystal Light Green Tea, to sweeten up the juice without a bunch of sugar. My favorite soups to make in my Vitamix are tomato bisque, potato cheese, squash, and broccoli cheese (and I don’t even like broccoli!) I’ve since picked up an “extra” Vitamix 7500 to give as a gift.

Oh, one other thing I recommend getting. the inexpensive Vitamix black plastic wrench. It’s used to change the blade, which you won’t need to do very often, but it’s also very useful for when you might buy an extra container on sale from an online retailer and when you go to use it, it leaks.

That’s what happened to me, but I knew right away that the blade assembly on the new container had somehow become misaligned or loose. I immediately ordered the Vitamix wrench and realigned the blade.

good as new!. and if you get a chance, look for the YT video of William G. “Papa” Barnard’s 1950 “informercial” for the first Vitamix. A man ahead of his time.

I have a classic 5200. My first experience with making anything other than a basic smoothy did not go well and I swore off making soups or anything else as a result (I did not follow the instructions but winged it).

Fast forward however many years later with both the discovery of whole vegetable blender processing working like a champ; a relative with an upcoming birthday, and complaints of trying to blend stuff but it not working; and a sale.

Enter the 7500. Also enter fears of the new low profile 64 container not blending well and doubts in making the purchase for a novice blender user. So I got permission to try the new unit to make sure it worked as well as the old tall units.

I tried the new low 64 and the 48 oz container, and two things stood out: you can put one or two cups of liquids in without it splashing the whole container to the top of the lid as it does in the classic tall 64 and 32 with just one/two cups of liquid; and especially the low 64 makes blending and chopping veggies a breeze, which I had never done before.

I put a carrot in and it blended to a consistent fine chop, I then added a celery stalk, onion, pickle, chicken breast, and a little mayo. I was blown away. Hint: I used smoked chicken breast, and it ended up tasting almost identically to the smoked salmon appetizer from a well known eatery.

Oh, did I mention it only took not even all of two minutes? I now make recipes in the classic tall as a result of trying it in the low 64. I have started motor oil smoothies which have also made a difference in my skin, energy, hunger levels, length of satiation and overall feeling of well-being (garlic clove; ginger; celery; spinach; 1/2 whole lemon; apple; handful of spinach; carrot).

You can also notice the extra power and it is more quiet than the old ones.

I love this blender. I never knew smoothies could be so smooth. I’ve had it just over a month now and I use it daily for blending greens, flax seed and frozen fruit. Previously, I was having to grind my flax in a coffee grinder and then put that in my old blender until I got the Vitamix.

It can all go in together now with the flax seed along with the other ingredients. It blends it thoroughly. I had been saving for the 5200 and had done research on that one until Vitamix ran their September sale for the 7500.

I think I’m more happier than I would have been with the 5200 because the 7500 fits just underneath my cabinets on my counter. Since I use it daily, twice a day, I want to leave it out and can with this one.

I love too being able to rinse out my blender, add dish soap with water and blend it for easy cleaning. One hint-don’t wait until later to clean it, do it immediately or you will be scrubbing flax seed from the blender.

I don’t find it too loud but it does have a tone that made both of my dogs bark so I trained them to love that sound with treating them every time the blender is on. Now, when I blend, they both sit and wait for their treat.

The only thing I find it doesn’t blend well is dates. I occasionally add dates to my greens, flax, frozen mango, coconut water and water and it struggles with the dates. I will have to start soaking dates before I add them.

I have made a non dairy ranch made from cashews and they pulse very well. Definitely the best blender I’ve ever had and I’m so glad I waited for their sale. I’m also happy I purchased it from their website since ,when you create an account before purchase, it automatically registers your blender with them.

You can build up points and receive discounts towards other items or purchases They have a lot of recipes on their site, I would suggest visiting it for ideas.

This is our second Vitamix. First one (Creations II) still working too (12 years) but the 48 oz. pitcher finally seized. We were going to just replace the pitcher but found the reconditioned Explorian 320 price too hard to pass up along with the 64 oz pitcher.

The first thing we did was test it against the old one, pitcher fits both. Both spin at same rpm with same power same 2. 2 HP motor same frequency Hz at full speed. We really like the dial, it seems better than the old one.

For us its a no-brainer the Creations II is 12 years going on 13 years old well beyond its warranty, the reconditioned comes with a 3 year warranty but we’ll get more than that out of it. We make vegan smoothies everyday 365/yr and creamy smooth raw food soups at night.

If you’re counting that is 2 full pitcher meals/day that spin to warm or hot temperatures. For snacks occasionally we make chocolate shakes with almonds, cashews, pecans, 100% dark choc chips, filled to top with ice cubes and grind into thick ice cold shakes that give us brain freeze so we have to eat slow.

Hummus, bean dips, salsas, marinara, and many of our sauces for soups all made fresh from whole raw foods keep us healthy and loving to eat everyday. The Explorian 320 has been great so far, no down side.

We figure 2. 2 spins a day average for 12 years = (2. 2*12*365) = 9636 meals made. $450. 00/9636 = 4. 7 cents per meal for the old Vitamix. If we get the warranty period for the Explorian 320 then $189.

00/(2. 2*3*365) = 7. 8 cents per meal. How is this not a bargain?.

I was in the market for a new blender after owning the same one for a decade. Since it did it blend very well, the kids were often disappointed with smoothies that we made. The Vitamix Explorian, however, makes amazing smoothies in mere moments! I love the versatility- I’ve also made soup, cashew cheese sauce, blended Finnish pancake batter, and whipped cream.

All is done very quickly and comes out perfectly. I really couldn’t be happier with it – washing it is also a breeze. I went with the 64oz and am so glad I did for our family of 5. The only down side is that it is quite loud… but the kids always come running after it’s been on, excited for whatever kind of smoothie has been mixed up.

Perhaps they are all on the loud side; I don’t know if this model is louder than others. However, it doesn’t have to be on for very long anyway, so it’s not really a big deal and worth the trade off for the quality of how it works!.

I’ve wanted a Vitamix for a long time. When I saw this on flash sale, I weighed the options, and decided to snap one up (such a good price). I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it arrived. I do live in MI which helps, but still was speedy delivery for standard shipping.

I’m pleased with this blender. I pulled it out of the box, and we made two smoothies the same day to try it out. Great smoothie consistency. I haven’t had the chance to put it through its paces yet, but for the reasonable price, I already feel I got a good deal and am glad I made the purchase.

Also, I don’t know what people are complaining about in regards to noise. Yes, it’s loud. But we found it WAY less annoying to listen to than the Oster blender we were using! For the cost and functionality, plus a 3 yr warranty (which is better than a brand new Ninja).

This blender is worth a try!.

I have tried & loved two other varieties of Frontier soup mixes, but this one was not good. The freeze-dried kale was like cardboard after the recommended 40 +10 minute of cooking & standing, and even when reheated on days 2 & 3, the kale was still dry & chewy.

As another reviewer mentioned, the stems are awful, but even the rest of the kale was unappetizing.

This soup would have rated a five for flavor except for the huge number of kale stems that were included in the package. I cooked the soup for more than twice the time called for and the stems were still not tender.

I spent a lot of time picking out the stems from the bowl or (Ewww) picking them out of my mouth. We would all do better to just buy the ingredients separately and make the soup ourselves.

All you have to do is add water or chicken broth and you have a hearty instant delicious soup just when you need it! And gluten free makes all the difference!

I prefer my home made wild rice soup more then this one. It wasn’t creamy even after the suggestion on how to make it creamier. The flavor is kinda there, but it’s not the best as if it’s missing something so was more on bland side.

If looking for a great soup brand in a bag, try bear creek! So much more flavor satisfying.

Thick, creamy, flavorful easy soup to make. Added extra chicken, celery, carrot and mushrooms. Got rave reviews from hungry husband. Great product at a great price. I will efinitely buy more.

Not my favorite soup. Had an odd taste to it and was very bland. Does only take about 20 minutes to cook. I did the suggestion to substitute a cup of the required water with chicken broth to make it creamer.

I probably won’t ever buy this brand again but if I did I would definitely be adding some other things to this soup mix like chicken and veggies. I would say the serving size would be closer to 6 than 8 they suggest on the package.

I made this with half chicken & half beef stock. Sauted ground beef and onion as the base. Added fresh carrots, celery & a diced potato after first 15 minutes of simmer. Added one can of diced tomatoes and finished with peas as recipe suggested.

Simple & fast!.

This was the first frontier soup we purchased from Vitacost. We loved it and have purchased over 100 the the varieties. The soup is a balance between soup and stew. These are a dinner meal quality soup.

Order once. You’ll want many, many more.

This was the grossest vegetable soup mix I’ve ever had. Cheap ingredients (peas, corn, rice) and overpriced. Vitacost used to carry an organic vegetable soup blend from Frontier Organics that had all sorts of wonderful dried veggies in it.

This is definitely not that. Very disappointed.

This is another GREAT soup product from Bear Creek. These are absolutely delicious soups, and because they are made from high quality ingredients to start with, they get even better if you throw in a few fresh ingredients form your panty or garden.

to the chicken noodle soup, I usually add a small can of chicken meat, some sliced carrots, and maybe a small potato or two, nicely cubed. You can boil the veggies by themselves, then add them to the soup at the last minute.

Try a handful of frozen peas also, or a couple of freshly chopped home-grown tomatoes. It becomes a meal fit for a king! With the broccoli-cheese soup, add your favorite fresh spices and some quality grated white cheddar, or crumbled bacon bits or smoked ham.

Yum! Same for the bean soup–four or five ounces of smoked ham cubes will really bring it to life. Always add a little chopped parsley or herbs de provence for visual appeal. Coarsely ground black pepper works too, and adds a pleasing aroma all its own.

Be creative with these Bear Creek soups–they’re worth the extra effort!.

BearCreek Country Kitchens Cheddar Broccoli Soup Mix is very hearty, comforting, versatile, and makes a good family favorite. It does not taste as good as homemade, but it is delicious. Cooks in just a few minutes and the velvety smooth texture does not clump very easily when mixed properly.

One 11. 2 oz pouch makes 1/2 gallon soup or eight servings. One drawback is the dehydrated broccoli chunks do not absorb the water and cook very thoroughly.

Great soup! Great quality! Would recommend to anyone who doesn’t have the time actually cook something up! It has really good flavor very easy to prepare, either on the stove to warm it up or in the microwave! You can’t go wrong with it! It’s very simple! It makes your life easier! I love Frontier Soup mixes, it’s such a cool idea and makes home cooking soup a breeze! They come in so many different flavors, and are so delicious and filling. I definitely reach for a Frontier Soup bag now instead of my usual recipe when I want to make dinner for my family in a hurry.

Okay so I guess its called wedding soup because all the ingredients are married together. this soup is really good on a cold day. I usually make it with a crusty big get on the side and a glass Moscato , well because I’m a fancy type of girl JK.

but seriously though throw some sweats on pop in a movie and have some of this soup it’s delish.

I purchased my first Vitamix Blender (CIA edition) just over ten years ago and it was a workhorse. Last year, the blender container needed replacement and then recently, the motor started acting up, so I decided it was time to use the Vitamix former owner rebate (they give you a $100) for purchasing a new blender.

Customer service was fantastic and very helpful when I called. I opted for the Ascent A2500 because I wanted a couple of the newer features, such as the 3 program settings (for Smoothies, Hot Soups, and Frozen Desserts) but didn’t see the relevance in the more expensive models that had the 5.

I still wanted the feel of manual options. I also already owned the AerDisc and had to buy a new dry grains, but my old one was purchased by a friend who I’ll also be giving the newer blender replacement container to for free.

I may want the food processor some day, so I needed to do an Ascent. There have been a few things that I absolutely love about the upgrade. 1. The bender container is so much easier to scrape out the goodness.

Even with the special Vitamix spatulas and having small hands, I found the narrowness of the blender container to be a hindrance. This new lower profile container is MUCH easier to scrape. 2. I really like the three programs.

I feel my smoothies are indeed smoother and more blended. 3. Pulse is something I did not have and craved. So happy to now have it. It’s still workhorse like its predecessor, but has some awesome new features.

We are not new to Vitamix. More than 30 years ago, my husband and I watched a demo at a large Home Show in the town where we live and were mighty impressed with what we saw and then what we tasted. The price was high, but we thought that the quality would be worth it.

Fast forward 3 decades later, and it still worked! The stainless container had seams in it and a dispenser spout at the bottom, both of which required some careful cleaning. In any event, we decided it was time to upgrade, but the old Vitamix didn’t owe us a thing! After much research, several phone calls to Customer Service at Vitamix (and always a really nice and helpful voice) we bought an A2500, as well as an extra, smaller container, and are very happy with our purchase.

Most every morning, we make smoothies, but I wanted to try all the buttons on the machine, so we got to work and tried some of the recipes on the Vitamix site. The biggest surprise was the Black Bean soup.

I couldn’t believe that after blending the ingredients in the Vitamix for 7 ½ minutes, we were sitting down to a delicious, steaming hot meal without using the stove! I see more soup in our future! On Thanksgiving, the Vitamix made quick work of a pumpkin pie filling.

All those delicious recipes aside, I think my favorite part is how easy and quick it is to clean the container, and there is nothing to take apart. Thank you for continuing to make such a quality product.

I’ve been familiar with Vitamix’s blenders for a long time, and just received the A2500 as a gift. I decided on this blender over other Vitamix blenders because I was excited about the smart detect technology and the compatibility with the food processor attachment.

When the blender arrived, I was shocked at how cheap it looked. Right out of the box there were some nicks on the plastic and the entire base is comprised of plastic pieces that don’t seem durable. The see-through container and snap on lid, while I understand it’s purpose, seems less durable than the black lids.

The tamper is what I was most shocked about as it resembles a bowling pin, hollow and cheaply assembled. I’ve talked to other Vitamix owners about this and the consensus seems that Vitamix has decreased it’s quality over the past few years.

I’m glad there is a 10 year warranty. I was honestly hoping for more and wasn’t expecting this level of disappointment.

This is absolutely delicious as a vegetarian soup. I was surprised that the addition of turmeric gave it an usually pleasant touch of spice. I used vegetable broth for my liquid and it really gave it a nice flavor.

The blend of textures is also very satisfying.

This is really a delicious blend! Last time I ordered it, I made this soup as an appetizer for my cousin and her husband. They just went on and on about how delicious it was. Dinner was a big hit and later we snacked on some of your wonderful cashews, Georgia pecans, and pistachios.

This is the best tasting powder mix soup!! Not salty at all! I usually add more cooked broccoli to it! My husband and I love this soup!!

Definitely not the best soup. Did not taste good, but was easy to cook. Do not recommend.

I love these soups. It’s tasty, affordable, and very filling. It doesn’t take forever to make like it does when making homemade soups and is a lot better for you. Just be sure to drink lots of water with this soup as it does contain a large amount of sodium.

Love this soup. I take it to work add hot water and within 2 minutes its done. I prefer the chicken vegetable, but all soups are amazing. Not gritty and taste great.

I just had this soup tonight and it is the best tasting cream soup I have had since Medifast had cream of broccoli and cream of chicken which they have stopped making. I have ordered many soups over the years and have looked far and wide fora good cream soup that doesn’t have teeth cracking chunks of broccoli or tastes like medicine.

This soup is incredible. A rich creamy flavor and tender bits of veggies. Congrats soup designers. Or sou chefs. Im buying more and going to try other flavors.

I was surprised to find that this soup actually tasted very good and is satisfying. I have purchased all of the soups but I have not yet had a chance to taste all of them yet. I
