20 Best Vodka For Tinctures (2022 Updated)

I only really drink clear liquor, something about dark liquor just hurts my tummy. That being said when I comes to clear liquor I’m very partial to vodka. I’m originally from Canada and used to exclusively drink a brand that is only sold in Canada, when I moved to Louisiana I obviously couldn’t get that brand anymore.

I tried a couple brands but I really enjoy caliber vodka. It’s extremely inexpensive (especially compared to Canadian vodka prices), I buy it at Walmart so it’s got a convenience factor as well. I don’t have to go to a different store to purchase, I can pick it up at Walmart while I’m getting groceries for the week.

It’s got a smooth taste and no rubbing alcohol after taste that a lot of cheaper vodkas have. All in all for the price and the convenience factor I would rate this vodka 10/10.

Caliber Vodka tastes just like the expensive brands. It’s me drunk in it don’t take much. Just a little bit in my orange juice or something else gets me feeling great. Its $5. 96 plus tax at my local Walmart.

I definitely would buy again. I wanted my usual but I was low on money and decided to take a chance and got this and glad I did.

You get what you pay for. Pretty smooth for a terribly cheap vodka, but it’s definitely a last resort. #oldreliable Almost meets my expectations. Again though, you get what you pay for and you do end up.

Drunk! I don’t recommend, but really, you can do what you want.

Excellent mixing vodka. You can almost do a half-and-half mix with juice with no bite. Sure Gray goose taste better straight up. But for mixing drinks, I’d take platinum over Tito’s anyday for smoothness and taste in drink mixes.

Money’s no option ,I usually buy top shelf but platinum 7 was surprisingly good for the money. I’ll be buying it again.

First, let me say everyone has a different tongue. But for this vodka/rocks drinker, I can’t find one that does not ‘bite’ my tongue like this smooth stuff. And, to boot, it has nice, friendly flavor.

This company also has 10X, but I find I like the 7X better. There are one or two others that come close, but if available, this is my primary choice. Please enjoy.

Do you think as most of us do that more expensive means better? This is an exception to the rule -It is an excellent vodka! I’ve tested it with friends, straight up, against Grey goose, Stolie, Absolute,and a few others of the “top shelve” vodkas, and Platinum held it’s own in every test.

It is NOT just “good for the price” it’s good period. Give it a try-you won’t be disappointed.

Let me start by saying, I am not much of a drinker. I dislike most beers, like ciders, and love whiskey. When I became of age, I would try different things – vodka tonic, gin and tonic, etc, but none really clicked.

Cut to two decades later, and I am careful about my caloric intake, want to get the best value for my dollar, and want a taste beverage! So over the summer, we had a loss in the family, and had to travel for a funeral.

I decided to relax and have a drink. My in-laws preferred vodka is Tito’s, so I had a Tito’s on the rocks. AMAZING. It tasted great, helped calm down my anxiety about traveling during a pandemic, and let me focus on our family.

Over the summer, it became my weekly ritual – one decent shot of Tito’s on the rocks or straight, sipped and savored. Things change on Thanksgiving of this year. My brother-in-law made me a Tito’s with seltzer and lime with a little splash of sprite, and I was over the moon! He also makes a tremendous Bloody Mary (with Old Bay) that I now realize is Tito’s based.

I have been moved to keep a bottle in my house now, and will continue to experiment and enjoy.

I liked how smooth it is. It works very well with the #tropicaldrinks that we love to #indulge in now and again. It also works well in our #summertime #cocktails or our regulars like Vodka and juice.

And the bonus is the price can’t be beat. A real #favorite when we go shopping to stock up, because it’s a big enough bottle it lasts awhile. I can recommend it for all your #vodka desires. Don’t take my word on it alone ,try it for yourself you will be convinced.

Love Titos! I have a select few vodkas I will drink. usually the cheaper vodkas give me a headache. so I usually always opt for the pricier brands. However, I’ve found Titos to be affordable and headache free!!! So many of my favorite drinks include vodka, so this is a win for me! I have been to the distillery. This Vodka is made by the premier alcohol producer in Moldova and they use the finest grains. So smooth and delicious. I drink it straight because it goes down so well.

Very pleased I purchased this when the liquor store was out of my regular vodka and it was really good stuff especially for the price

this vodka is amazing !! first of all it’s made with all natural fruits spices and no dyes or artificial flavors at all !!! And the taste is so nice and doesn’t taste fake and sugary 😻 I like the other flavors they have as well like the lemon one pictured below 🤩 it’s really affordable for being a top shelf vodka 😇.

Stay away from this vodka. I bought it thinking organic, natural, smoother taste. My friends, my husband and I drank it and got super sick the next day. Total alcohol poisoning from this alcohol. It took us two days to even feel better.

This vodka needs to come off the shelves. Stick to actual good brand names and you will be fine!.

At first, I thought it was weird that there was fermented peaches in the bottle (yes, that’s what’s in the image), but the flavor is really good! You can tell it’s vodka, of course, but the peach flavor and scent really pushes it forward! I loved it!.

This vodka along with the cucumber vodka this brand also offers tastes just awful. It’s bitter and not enjoyable in the least. Had to keep lacing it with plain vodka and club soda just so we didn’t get too much of the basil taste in one sip.

I don’t recommend it.

My sister wasn’t a huge fan of vodka until I bought this last weekend and now she’s already asking when I’m buying another bottle. The company is owned by women which I personally think is pretty badass as well.

Really was dying to try this, but it frankly has an almost isopropyl quality to it. I tried it in a simple vodka soda with fresh seltzer and lime, hoping for a clean, bright finish, but instead ended up with an overpowering burn.

Tastes overdistilled. I like the concept of organic, but frankly, I think that’s being used as a marketing ploy. Skip it.

Always buy premium spirit for holidays. This time I bought Belvedere Smogory Forest vodka. I tried it on the rocks and with a bit of coke. Either serving was delicious but I do recommend it on rocks.

It’s got intense rye aroma like no other rye vodkas. Superb!.

This is my favorite. It is the most unique and subtle rye vodka. Great as a martini or rocks. They need to make a handle of it.

I bought this bottle and the lake bottle. The smogory Forrest is by far my favorite. The description is spot on. This is a perfect after dinner desert drink. One cube to room temp is a great way to drink this.

Skyy vodka is what I would consider to be a low to mid range option. It was one of the first to come out with the flavored options and the offer everything from fruit, coconut, and I think there may be a coffee flavor.

I’m a basic b*itch so I enjoy my vodka with cranberry juice. I’ll throw some cubed ice and whatever cranberry I have on hand into a cup, add a couple shots of this vodka and I am on my way to a nice buzz.

Dollar for dollar this size is a pretty good deal and doesn’t give me a headache like the less expensive brands. The bottle is chic so it isn’t an eyesore sitting on my bar, either. It’s a good choice for your day to day vodka if you’re of the drinking kind.

It takes me a while to get through the bottle but I’ll probably purchase this again when I run out. I usually have a plain version and the pineapple version on hand.

When I was in my 20’s I used to drink a lot of cheap flavored vodka either as shots or in a super sugary drink. I stopped drinking vodka as I stopped drinking to get drunk because I assumed that all vodka was gross like the cheap stuff.

This vodka proved me wrong. I was blown away with the fact it didn’t smell like much when the bottle was opened and I don’t have to mask the taste with something super sugary as a mixer. Great for screwdrivers and I suspect would be great in a Bloody Mary.

And the bottle is gorgeous!.

SKYY Vodka makes the absolute best cocktails. My favorite is the cosmopolitan. Classy vodka drinks have always been associated with Hollywood. From Sex and the City’s cosmopolitan to James Bond’s “shaken not stirred” martini, vodka is always in fashion.

I love SKYY Vodka so much that my friends have nicknamed me SKYY! No other vodka comes close to being as smooth as SKYY.

We normally are Tito’s drinkers but I decided to try a local vodka and it outstanding. I have no reason to go back to Tito’s. Banyan is fantastic and it is from Florida.

The Banyan vodka a real treat. To me ,the vodka does not have a medicinal after taste, like some vodkas. This the second item I have tried from St . Petersburg distillery, good stuff.

Decent corn vodka. Not the best on its own but can mix well. Prefer The American Plains vodka, which is cheaper and goes down smoother.

I bought this thinking I was getting a grapefruit vodka, not realizing it was grapefruit and cinnamon. I appreciate that it is organic and that it is an Austin based company but other than that all I can say is ewwwwww! It tastes horrible (really really horrible!) and for the life of me I don’t know how to make it tolerable.

I’ve tried mixing in grapefruit juice, champagne, grape juice, warm tea, grapefruit White Claw, Canada Dry, even watermelon juice. I tried adding real fruit as well (grapefruit, orange and lemon) But all you taste is is the overbearing flavor of cinnamon.

There’s no disguising it. Finally, I tried giving it away and 7 out of 7 friends declined the offer.

I first encountered Frankly at a local wine and spirits festival. Great guys, great flavors, great ingredients. My favorite application for this is a skinny-ish Mule: 2 parts vodka, juice of half a lime, 2 shakes Angostura Bitters, and fill the remaining with half citrus/ginger sparkling water (Evian or Trader Joe’s) and half Barritts Ginger Beer.

I bought the peach flavor and barely taste any peach flavoring. It isn’t very smooth either. Don’t spend your money on this product.

Omg! Sorry I had to make a review but unfortunately this drink is not in the reviews as something to pull up. If you like Absolut then you must try these new Sparkling beverages they’ve got out. I just had the Berry Vodkarita absolutely amazing.

It doesn’t taste like a sparkling drink with the weird taste while drinking. It’s 110 calories 10% alc by volume. Made with all natural flavors. Omg I’m in love. ❤️.

Lovely vodka that I didn’t expect to love so much! Mainly purchased this vodka to be used in Bloody Mary as I love them. Decided to open it to have a whiff and oh my it smells amazing!!! Best paired with fever tree Indian tonic and lots of ice.

I’ve tried it without a slice a lime and you can definitely taste the lime in the vodka it’s not overpowering but it’s just so subtle and refreshing. It’s also well balanced with the vodka. I’ve also tried it with a slice of lime and it just lifts it up a little bit! I found the price very reasonable on amazon.

Have decided to keep this vodka to have with tonic and purchased another plain polish tonic to have with my Bloody Mary. This certainly won’t be my last bottle will definitely repurchase!.

I love the label. Not boring and not too dramatic. Tell you straight up what it is when it comes to percentage of alcohol you r about to consume. This is my go to when it comes to budget. It’s not the cheapest and def not the most expensive.

The taste isn’t a home run at all. As for taste, It’s sort of loud, but hey what do you expect for vodka? Smell is about the normal or to be expected for what it is. It’s great mixed with V8 or one of my favs is patriot bay coconut, pineapple juice, and a splash of abso.

This is the best ciroc out now. the passionfruit flavor is awesome. This one is better than all the others and should be a yearly flavor. It’s so smooth, you don’t even need to mix it with anything it’s that smooth.

Rain is a Seven Times Distilled, Gluten Free Vodka with Natural Flavor. It is 40% ALC/VOL (80 PROOF) and I love it! This affordably smooth vodka hails from Indiana and is made from organic corn. I mostly enjoy Rain Vodka neat.

I am Russian and I know of what I speak when it comes to водка. One day out of curiosity as I closed the Matchbox bar in Chicago, I did a blind tasting of all their vodkas. Of the seven I tried RAIN was simple the best.

The name is well chosen as it is incredibly smooth. like rain ! All samples were at room temperature which leaves no room to hide flavor. I could easily evaporate a bottle. very dangerouse. I think I called it liquid cocaine (not that I would know.

Forget all other vodkas. This vodka is like drinking the purest spring water and then it hits you. Its sooo smooth and delicate tasting. Great for a vodka martini, cosmos or with bubbles. My go to is vodka tonic with lemon.

This vodka is also a great deal at my local ABC in the 2 liter. It lasts a while but not forever since everyone wants a pour.

Skyy is best known for its flavored vodkas, but this will please most unflavored vodka purists as well. Overall this vodka is neutral in aroma and flavor, with a hint of vanilla and a crisp, light finish.

Skyy vodka is ways fairly priced and comes in all different flavors. The bottle is crystal blue and really stands out among other vodka bottles. Again, this is another vodka that does not to well as a shooter, but does much better as a mixed drink.

When taken alone, it does seem to burn and leave a “rubbing alcohol” aftertaste, which is less than desirable. It does add a bit of sweetness to the mixed drink which some people prefer. Overall, skyy vodka is definitely not the worst vodka I have ever tasted but not the best either.

For that, I give it 3 stars.

Clean and filtered to perfection this vodka I love using for all kinds of cocktails. I prefer this with a few pearl onions. Add a bit of simple syrup and a splash of lime with a twist for a Vodka Gimlet.

Typically served with gin (although more and more people are ordering a Vodka Gimlet as the flavor is a bit more smooth) I prefer vodka. If you’re a fan of making vodka drinks like this at home store your vodka in the freezer to keep it primed for mixing.

Deodorizers smoke filled clothing so well. You can actually do this if you haven’t time for a proper dry cleaners service. I’ve used it on several occasions just do a patch test first. Sky Vodka is perfect warm or cold and creates smooth cocktails every time!.

When I started making spiced pies I was a little disappointed; they would either turn out tasting like a regular homemade pie or the taste would be so powerful that you couldn’t manager more than a few bites.

Most of the time when I make the spiced peach pie it is for an adult-only party and I make everyone well aware that there is alcohol in the pie. It gets served with butter pecan ice cream and the flavor combination is amazing.

You can still pick up a hint of the vodka in the peach slices but it isn’t something that really dominates the dessert. When I make a spiced peach pie I make everything including the crust. The peaches are sorted by size and darkness then sliced in to eighths; I puncture then with a fork and place them in a deep glass baking dish and pour Absolut Peach Vodka over them along with some freshly ground cinnamon and nutmeg.

I let them sit for about four to six hours then use them for the filling for the pie. I tried letting them sit overnight and they were too mushy to use in the pie so they were tossed in the blender and turned into a whipped dessert.

From the bottle this has a strong but not overpowering taste to it; if you want to make a mixed fruit drink but don’t have any fresh peaches to use with it you can use a shot of this and the taste is noticeable without being something that is going to dominate the drink.

I did try this as a shot (neat, no ice) and it was too sweet for my taste. I think with some carbonated water or over ice it might be a little more appealing but if I am going to do vodka shots chances are I will go with an unflavored vodka.

I have several flavored vodkas in my liquor cabinet and most of them are used at one time or another when I am baking or cooking to give food a little extra kick. I was impressed with the Absolut Peach Vodka because of the pure taste of it but as mentioned, for me it is a little too sweet to drink straight up.

This pretentious brand of vodka is just okay, in my opinion. I cannot say it is bad, but it certainly doesn’t live up to the hype. The emperor has no clothes, I say. If you follow the strict standards for quality vodka that state it should be colorless, odorless, and tasteless, then you could conclude that a good vodka should be clean, smooth, and have no residual aftertaste.

I find Grey Goose to have an astringent aftertaste that even comes through when mixed with powerful supporting ingredients. It is certainly worth a try, so that you can judge for yourself. but try it neat, at a bar, where you don’t have to risk the purchase of the entire bottle.

Unless you think the bottle is pretty.

Grey goose is my favorite vodka but more of a treat. I personally could never afford it with how expensive it is. It is the number one vodka in my book and when it comes to other vodkas it is the best, but I would still purchase a cheaper vodka that can stand to my liking.

Grey goose doesn’t compare to diluted vodka but there are lots of other good vodkas out there that I would drink instead so I don’t break the bank. If I had the money for it though, Grey goose would be my number once choice.

And not only that but the bottle it comes in is so cute and intriguing and original and sophisticated and interesting all at once, and that is another big reason why I like grey goose cuz it’s fashionable and makes you look fancy.

Not a fan of this particular vodka. I know I should really like it because everyone says it is so good. My true test is vodka on the rocks with a squeeze of lime. This goes down harsh. It is not the smooooooooth vodka you think of for sipping or martini making.

Money is better spent elsewhere.

Love it -as good as Tito’s, however I am older and I find the bottle way too heavy. Can we put this in a lighter bottle or will it change the taste?

I’m so glad I read the two views, as they were accurate! Nue Vodka is smooth, and paired well with my mixer of choice. I highly recommend this brand for anyone looking to venture out from their regular vodka choice.
