18 Best Volleyball Ankle Brace (2022 Updated)

Bought for my daughter who plays defense in volleyball. Its a bit strange putting on directions are not detailed. My daughter says it is somewhat restrictive. She wants support with ability to move since she is up and down off the floor and needs to squat ect.

She has a little trouble freely moving with the brace on so we have mixed feelings for that reason. If you want stability so the ankle has limited movement this is great. If you just want support you may feel too restricted with this.

Good quality and reasonable price.

This brace was recommended by another volleyball player. Daughter says it’s more comfortable than others. Arrived before expected.

It looks great and fits well, but the size is a little small and the sleeves are a little too short. It looks great, but it feels scratchy and a little uncomfortable on the inside.

This company makes great, high quality braces. I have some for my knee and they last longer than other companies. The ankle brace has several places you can adjust the fit somewhat: the laces on the interior and Velcro on the sides.

Using it has provided lots of extra stability. Able to walk much better when using it. Does not fit in all my shoes. Hoka’s work the best. Well worth the money!.

After a recent ankle injury I was wearing the doctor provided brace all day. Having a back up brace allowed me to do things like go to the beach and do yardwork. I wasnt paranoid about getting the brace dirty or wet.

The product was good and exactly like the one I received at the clinic. One difference I noticed that it was not as easy to remove off as my previous stabilizer that I had. Other than this difference it was good.

This has been amazing for me. I play netball and touch football and haven’t had any problems since wearing this. It has a lot of support and is very firm. Can be difficult to get on, but so far i havent ripped or stretched it.

Great product, better than others I’ve used. Need to wear for a little bit to allow stretch so not too tight around foot. You can then adjust the straps and it’s better than tape. Great for rehab

I always wear them when I’m working out and training. I purchased these after a bad ankle sprain. These not only help keep my injured ankle stabilized, but makes me more confident in avoiding another ankle injury.

I just wish I had bought them sooner!.

I’m an Ex-Pro Fighter and have sustained many injuries including torn ligaments in my ankles. I am a Chef and am on my feet all day. These supports are great and I will be ordering more pairs this week.

After being out of football for a while, I bought this to help with my ankle and helps me massively, very comfortable and hardly feels like you’re wearing it.

I really wanted to love this ankle brace. I waited several weeks to receive as it was backordered. It was very disappointing to find that the strap (which is the unique part of the brace) is about two inches too long for my (female) size 9 Narrow got.

The end of the strap Velcro’s to the brace. But despite following the included directions the strap ends underneath my arch which feels like bunched up fabric under my foot when walking. Seems well made but other than the unique strap design not sure why it costs $100.

Will be returning.

I bought this after I rolled my left ankle after almost got run over by a car when running few months back. I wore this support few times for TaeKwonDo practice sessions and it helped to stabilize my ankle when doing lots of twisting, turning and pivoting.

The downside is that the sole of my foot becomes sore wearing this for TKD, it seems that the strap is still too tight even at its loosest setting and digs to the sole as I have a very flat foot. So am going to try either the sports ankle or the sports ankle dynamic (not sure which one) with the hope that it’ll be just right support that I need without soreness.

First. I use a lot of Zensah products (compressions socks, knee brace, quad compression ,etc. ) and love all of them. I’m an ultra runner and have flat feet so need extra ankle support. I’ve been using the PF compression sleeve for several years and they do a great job providing support for running on trails.

My only issue is that they tend to tear in the same place after about 10 uses. Perhaps there would be a way to provide some additional protection in this area. Happy to send pictures of the location if that would be helpful.

I have heel spurs (Haglund’s deformity) and have just dealt with the blisters when wearing stiff backpacking boots for the past dozen years. Previously tape and bandages have worked fine but they are a bit of a hack and eventually fail.

These ankle sleeves were recommended to me by an orthopedic surgeon to reduce friction on my heels and they have been great so far. I wear them under my hiking socks and have had no pain or hotspots in my heels when hiking with them which is something I thought I’d need surgery to achieve.

I’ll be grabbing another pair come summer and am looking forward to putting them through the gauntlet.

This compression ankle support is the best that money can buy (for less than $20. 00)!!! I am a habitual ankle roller, countless rolls and recoveries. This support stands out for many reasons: ~Stretchy light fabric ~Compresses ankle but not too much ~Seamless.

If you’re a regular ankle roller like me, you know how frustrating a seam can be on the arch of your ankle while recovering from injury. Seriously 10/10 recommend.

I got this brace 7 weeks after fracturing my ankle in anticipation of an upcoming backpacking trip. All other braces I had tried were very uncomfortable in my hiking boots and the plastic supports always pushed up against my injured ankle causing some pain.

This brace was the exact opposite of all the others. The hard supportive plastic is on the outside of the brace and it is cushioned on the inside. I backpacked 55 miles wearing this brace and it got me through some rough terrain.

Highly recommend this brace for recovering from an ankle injury and still being able to be active.

I bought this brace because I had broken my ankle about a year and half ago. In the process I sprained it as well and it has never been the same. I bought this brace to wear while working out and sometimes sleep in.

I have tried others that were cheaper but they did not offer the support that this one provides. Even though it is the most expensive on the market, it’s worth paying the extra money for comfort. I can barely tell I’m wearing it.

It comes with two extra pads with Velcro. I only used one and put it on the back because I could feel a piece of the plastic rub. It solved the problem and again, I can barely tell I’m wearing anything.

I would recommend going into the store and trying on a few sizes. I wear a size 10 shoe and bought the medium.

I have torn ankle ligament in the past and have turned or sprained my ankles on numerous occasions. The Zamst A2 DX ankle brace fits so comfortably, that you barely notice it. I have ben able to bike, run, play basketball and soccer without any discomfort.

The support and stability the brace offers is great.

I found that the explanation of the size of the brace was accurate as I ordered two different sizes as my left ankle swells, requiring a larger fit. When they arrived, the medium fit my right side and the large my left side perfectly.

I have trouble with my ankles rolling when I walk in my yard or garden on uneven surfaces. These braces did not have the firmness to fully stop the rolling when I became fatigued, but they definitely made a noticeable difference and improvement about 85% of the time for me.

I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend them if you have weak ankles and need light to moderate support.

Easy to use. Good quality and design. I was just out of a boot for a broken ankle and needed this as a transition from rigid immobilization to full range of motion and unsupported weight bearing. It’s doing the job well.

I’m using it for plantar fasciitis, wearing it during the day and am very happy with it. It provides stability and fits in my shoe fairly well. I think this is a better solution than a hard shell nighttime boot normally worn for Plantar fasciitis.

This brace is exactly what I needed. I’ve been looking for something like this for months. As soon as it arrived, I put it on. For the first time in months, I can walk mostly pain free. I loved it so much, after one day, I ordered a second one for my other ankle.

The lace-up ankle brace has provided good support as I heal from a bout with peroneal tendonitis. Fits comfortably in my athletic shoe. Be aware that if your measurement falls in between the recommended size of brace, to order the bigger size.

I was on the fence as whether I should order a medium or large brace, and ordered the medium which ended up being too snug and returned it. return process is easy.

I’ve been using another ankle support I purchased since an injury sustained early last year while playing soccer. Quick, lateral movement gives me some pain and I’m playing with half the effort because of it.

I had been reading reviews on this brace so thought I’d give it a shot though I was a bit skeptical it might make a difference. I’ve used it in a couple games thus far this season and it’s giving me more of the support I need to play hard and with confidence to not easily roll it again while it’s weakened.

It’s not the most low profile support and is pretty snug getting into my cleats which offer a bit of the built-in ankle tape style cuffs, but I manage it. I definitely feel it offers better support than the generic one I Just picked up Off the shelf at Target though.

Broke three bones in my ankle, afraid of inversion roll. Fits and wears well in an athletic shoe although a little bulky fit at the top of the foot. Do not go with your shoe size, be sure to measure your foot and check the size chart in my opinion.

Slight discomfort for me in the top v-shape foam lining of the brace which rubs into my shin all day moving on my feet. Definitely recommend wearing a taller moisture-wicking breathable sock as the inside foam lining retains sweat and condensates when you take the brace off a few hours later.

All said and done, I still like this brace and feel more stable with it on.

I had foot surgery to try to correct arch problems caused by over-pronation, but it didnt really help much and I still have difficulty being on my feet for more than an hour or two. Being a chef who needs to be on his feet for hours each day, this is a real problem.

The Donjoy brace, coupled with a good orthotic insert, is really helping me have less pain. I can wear normal shoes. I even wear flip-flops with the brace. My wife teases me saying I look like a convict with an ankle bracelet, but it sure helps me function at the necessary level.

Firm arch support. Sz XL fit my shoe size 11 foot. Female, age 72 and wear this with shorts when I am not wearing 15-20 guage support knee highs. Buy 2 if you need a pair. Comes to just over the ankle.

Not much stretch in the thick fabric. You’ll need some strength to pull it over your heel.

Sadly, I will be returning them. (I bought one for each ankle. ) While the support seems good, there is a thick band at both ends. It creates an uncomfortable ridge under your arch and makes the top too tight.

It is not really visible in the photo and not in the description. I was really hoping that it would work.

I love the knee brace. It is made out of a breathable stretchy material, so you dont get all the sweat like you do with the rubber ones. Great medium support all around the knee.

Purchased the XL size for a 12 1/2 sized foot. The fit is perfect, and so is the feel; grips well. I experienced some Achilles tendinitis from playing tennis, and that has been niggling at me for some time now.

My doctor suggested I get some tall lace up boots and wear them for about two months (off and on, I think) to see if that would clear up the issue. Luckily I saw the pro tennis players wearing these braces during play, and I decided to try it for my issue.

It has greatly helped my condition just from wearing them for a short while (about three weeks), and I don’t have to worry about going to bed with boots on. I suspect if I continue to wear them I could get back on the tennis court soon using this brace as I play.

They fit comfortably in all the shoes I wear (boots as well), not adding any extra bulk.

My husband uses this ankle brace twice a week for soccer – in fact he just received the second one that he ordered because he was so impressed. We had done some online research to ensure we were getting him the best possible item specifically for playing soccer – because this brace had been so highly recommended we decided to give it a try.

He is very happy with the quality and performance of the brace, and the price is also unbeatable.

It’s a good brace. Not very flexible and that’s needed for use in sports and other games. It takes a while to put on. For daily use, or just an ankle sprain, there are other braces that I think are better.

The prices are about the same on both. The quality on both are outstanding.

Still getting used to the Ortho Bracing which my PT recommended; trying not to wear it all of the time so my ankle can grow stronger on its own. Today is the first 6″ of snow, so I am figuring out whether I can fit my ankle with the new brace inside a loosened boot.

This is just like the one a Doctor had given me that I wore until it was barely ha going on! I could have gotten a large but, Medium is working fine. Great help with supporting and maintaining toes up during sleep hours and supports ankle if sore during day.

Bought support for aching Achilles Heel. Product began to “come apart” when I put it on for the very first time. Had the support for less than a week. Despite limited use, product would “come apart” even more each time I used it: threads of elastic came loose, the ACE label came/ripped off while removing it.

Very POORLY MADE/CONSTRUCTED. I am 67 and have had many ACE products in the past. This support is NOT up to par.

I really should have read the negative reviews. This supporter isn’t large let alone extra-large. It’s made for a narrow foot and a medium-sized foot. What a rip-off! It also arrived in a huge box, 15 times the size of the product and filled with paper, all of it having to go into the recycle bin.

What a huge loss of money. Do not buy this product if you have a large foot, and wear size 11 shoe USA.

I use a s/m size in other brands, but this one is really small and tight. ; it was very difficult to wear and take it off. Also, the material/fabric made me uncomfortable, and a bit itchy. I did measure my knees, followed the chart, and read the reviews, but it didn’t help.

If you get the right size, and you have no allergies to certain materials, then it could be a good product.

I love them! In fact I got them because of my job and me almost rolling my ankle several times a week. And I didn’t have them on a week until I almost broke my ankle/foot out of a new truck bed in not use to working out of.

Yes I Did hurt my ankle, but this compression and stability from this sleeve kept the ankle from completely breaking. I either sprain or pulled or fractured something, but I don’t have time to stop so just put a ankle brace of a different kind on and it’s been a month now and it’s better but still not 100%.

As of now I can only wear it on my right foot as the damage to my left it hurts too much the compression does to wear for a long period of time. So once all healed I will be back to wearing 7 days a week.

After foot surgery and removal of lymph nodes in my leg I bought these to help with the swelling I get in my ankle. These socks worked great for the swelling and are so much cuter than full length medical compression socks.

(I have Zensah full length compression socks for travel but it’s too hot in the summer to wear those every day. I do have a small problem some days with a hot spot on my heel, even walking around with just the sock on.

I’m not sure it started with the sock or before I got these when I had swollen feet and my shoes were tight. I’m going to protect it until it resolves, but continue to wear the socks.

This company was making very good quality braces and i have used it. Recently they changed the material of the strap and it is getting damaged/tear easily without much usage. I bought 2 in last one year and both broken.

But the same product i bought couple of years before still got strong straps but that is unusable beacse of the age. Quality gone down , may be business tactics as customer has to buy more.

the is my 2nd mcdavid Brace, with the first one lasting ~3years and the one of the wraps lost the stitching. makes sense I get it. Bought a new MD195 and, although it looks great, the straps are rubbing and deteriorating pretty badly after just a few days of use.

The brace runs big, compared to the size chart, so maybe the excess material is rubbing the straps? Not sure and I really shouldn’t have to be an expert.

After suffering a triple compound fracture of my ankle playing tennis, I thought I would never play again. My surgeon recommended an ankle brace after rehab and the McDavid ankle brace was on his list.

I will not play tennis without it. I actually wear a brace on both ankles. It’s been ten years now and six months after the injury I was back to playing tennis -as I do today three or four times a week.

Oh, by the way, I was 62 when the injury occurred and I am 72 now and still playing tennis and wearing my McDavid ankle braces.
