20 Best Volumizing Hair Mousse (2022 Updated)

I love Kenra products. Recently I have started to use their mousse on wet hair distributed in equal amounts throughout before blow drying and styling and I LOVE it. I have never had a mouse that left my hair looking so voluptuous and gorgeous.

there was no crunchiness or residue left over after styling was finished, and it helps your hair hold curls better, but it gives your hair extra vavavoom no matter how you style it! I can’t believe i’ve wasted so many years of my life NOT using this product.

Mousse is the key to styling my thick, medium-long curly hair. I loved the Kenra Volume Mousse when I was doing the blow-dry and hot-rollers routine (curling irons take too long when you have this much hair), but set it aside when I started rocking my natural curls again.

I had gone back to using Tresseme’s curly mousse, but they ruined their product last year by changing the light scent that dissipated when dry to a heavy, overpowering, headache-inducing perfume that takes lots of hot water and multiple shampoos to get out.

So it was back to the drawing board for me. I’ve tried several curly-hair products, and found a couple okay ones, but nothing to write home about. I also found more migraine-inducing ones, because for some reason, manufacturers think we want strangers to be able to smell our hair products from miles away (note to manufacturers: We don’t.

Heavy fragrances are rude and unprofessional and make us -and others- sick. ) While cleaning my bathroom shelf, I saw my can of Kenra Mousse and thought, why not? So I tried it on my natural curls for the first time and wowza! My curls are light and fluffy, sexy and defined.

There’s no crunchy gel feeling, no heavy greasy/oily feeling, the light scent dissipates when dry, and no alcohol to dry my hair out. Next day hair is easy- I mist with water, scruching in additional mousse if needed.

I never thought about using this on my natural curls, but I’m so glad I did! My hair looks and feels amazing. Thank you, Kenra!.

I have been using this #12 mousse for nearly 10 years. I noticed the can changed this time but that’s not all. It’s no longer a softer hold, my hair is stiff and crunchy. It smells unpleasant, definitely in comparison to previous version.

Scent is one of the reasons I use the Kenra brand, this one is gross.

I actually use Redken “HOT SETS” but it was not in the list. definitely should be. Hot Sets is one of the best hair products I have ever come across. It us a bit on the expensive side bur worth every penny.

y hair is very straight and I can spend hours on it with a super hot iron and head products. but within an hour of finishing I will lose every and my hair will be bone straight as if I neber put an iron to it.

BUT. I spray a very small mist on each section of of hair right before I curl it. With this Redkn Hot Set products my hair will hold a curl for 2 day. Possibly more but once I wash it its back to square Straight.

This is another fine product I purchase from Ulta. My hair has some curl to it and I’m not always that into really fixing it! Hence if I’m feeling lazy, I can just add a little to my hair, scrunch it up & go.

It holds to waves & curls so the humidity does flatten out my hair. I love it when I do take the time to dry & fix my hair. It gives it body, isn’t stiff & sort of holds my style.

I am wondering if there was a formula change with this product. I went through four bottles of this mousse and absolutely loved it. It protected my hair against humidity and never left a greasy build up, even after using it every day.

About two weeks ago, I bought a new bottle and noticed a drastic change after applying the mousse for two or three days. My hair felt very heavy and limp. It was almost as if I had not applied any product at all.

I tried using less product, then more product, but I had the same results. I also started to get breakouts all along my hairline where I had applied the mousse. My shampoo and conditioner have remained the same and once I switched to a different mousse, the breakouts cleared up and my hair is no longer greasy and heavy.

I can’t tell if the ingredients changed since I no longer have my old bottle, but maybe this was just a bad batch?.

I have been using Kerastase Bouffante Mousse for several years. It has been a favorite styling product for my fine, straight hair. I few months ago it was out of stock for a while, but I finally ordered it again when it was back.

However, I’ve noticed a difference in my hair when I use it. It isn’t giving me the body and bounce it used to give, though the shine is still there. I have tried varying the amount, even layering it with other products, but it is always the same.

It soon after styling, becomes flat and superfine. And straight. My hair has not changed in it’s own texture or anything else, but this mousse seems to have changed somehow. Perhaps some ingredients have changed? Is it a one time shortage of some ingredient? I don’t feel I can rely on this mousse now, and will have to start searching for another product.

I bought my first bottle of Mousse Bouffante Hair Mousse after being introduced at my salon. I ordered directly from the Kerastase website and paid just over $30. I received my bottle on about May 21 and have lightly used the mousse every few days on my hair and really liked it.

However, despite the light use and the fact that there is still lots of product left inside when I shake the bottle, on June 23 the bottle completely stopped foaming the mousse. No matter how much I shake it (I have always shaken it appropriately before use), it will NOT foam and only pours out flat white liquid “mousse.

” I contacted a customer service agent by phone and was told I would receive an email with a UPS label so that I could return the partially used bottle and receive a replacement (frankly the requirement to return the bottle is pretty demanding considering this was my very first purchase from Kerastase, but ok, I’ll do it).

However the email has never arrived (and yes I checked the “spam folder”). So I just tried to Live Chat through the Kerastase website but no one ever responded. I was so excited about this product and would have happily become a regular customer, but it doesn’t seem like Kerastase really wants my business.

That’s very disappointing. :(.

I have fine hair but a lot of it. Every time my hairdresser does my blow out after color he puts this in my roots and then works it down through the ends. He blows it straight which gives me a tremendous amount of volume.

I recently tried it diffusing my hair and letting it be curly and it really helped keep my curls a lot longer and added a lot of volume to my hair. I asked my hairdresser who is in the top five hairdressers in the US I bought other products for volume and he said really I only use this product on most of my clients.

Can’t get much better than that! Love this product for root lift and volume!.

I was desperate to find my Matrix Volumizer! Even my beautician couldn’t get it! I went to an establishment where I had gotten my last can and they were out of it. The salesperson recommended another product that she said she used and liked it just as well.

I bought it knowing there was an unconditional return policy. Oh my word, I hated it—it was slimy, sticky and dried hard on my hair. Needless to say, I returned it and dug deeper! And “DUDE” there you were.

Desperation made me risk it and I am happy I did! The service was just as good as the product is!! Thank you!.

I had to buy a different brand of mousse a few weeks ago because they were out of this one, my fave. It was so heavy and weighted my hair down. I was SO HAPPY to see that my Matrix was back in stock on this visit – YAY!!! Just love the way it makes my fine hair look so thick and full!.

Such a good product. I used this for many years and it never failed to give my hair tons of volume. It’s kind of expensive for the size. I also found that it works best with the conditioner as well, rather than on its own and with another brand of conditioner.

This product lives up to the title, it is volumizing. Perhaps not as much as I was hoping but it does add volume. It is lightweight and doesn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy from excess product. I would recommend this product to others!.

This is the original mousse and yes there is a problem with the pump. The new formula (aqua container) the pump works but the product is not as good, at least for my hair. I purchased several bottles of this original mousse and I just pour a little into my hand and work through my hair before blow drying.

It’s a little inconvenient and messy but I’m happy with the result.

I just tried this and can’t believe it actually works! I have fine, thin hair and have tried more volumizing products, over the years, than you can imagine. This one I’ll keep! It’s light and actually gives my hair the volume I’ve been looking for all these years.

I had tried this product and liked it and decided to purchase from jet. However, the pump didn’t work properly so the product didn’t dispense correctly so it wasn’t effective. Terrible.

This product is truly weightless! I have searched far and wide for a strong hold styler that doesn’t create tangles in my hair and this is definitely that! I will say I had to use A TON of it to get it to hold my waves the way I wanted it too.

I applied it to soaking wet hair, then again to damp hair, and then again to dry hair. If it weren’t for needing to use so much I would give it 5 stars. If you have wavy hair and are looking for something to give you that soft, beachy look, you probably won’t need to use as much as I did.

I didn’t get a cast or crunchy hair through the diffusing process so I was a little shocked to see how well this wash day turned out!.

I follow the CGM and got this when all of AG was half off. I gave it an honest try since that day and my hair just NEVER looked good when I used it as my main styler for hold. Even when I added gel on top and/or removed a moisturizing cream component underneath, it really just never made much of a cast and my normally 2B waves would be 2A at most, and die overnight.

It became too much of a hassle to refresh each and every time I made this foam the star of the show. I normally LOVE foams, my favorite is the Dippity Do mousse, with the Zotos foam a close second only cus I hate the scent, but AG disappointed me with this one.

Aside from that, NONE of these at the Flint Ulta location had caps. Literally zero. So that’s weird. Then when you take in the fact that this is normally $20~ish, and is small as heck, it’s really just not worth it unless your hair loves it.

I can only get an Ulta gift card at this point but I don’t care, I’m tired of trying to make it work.

I’ve always struggled with products for my hair (3a/3b). Between dying colors, heat damage and neglect Cloud has truly helped my curls. Doesn’t leave my hair crispy like other products have. Price is also reasonable for how long the bottle lasts for daily use.

10/10 would recommend.

On Baby Fine Hair and this product: I have real baby fine hair. Lots of people talk about having baby fine hair, but really don’t. It’s a mixed blessing. Straight baby fine hair is so smooth that clips, bands, etc.

can slide out of it unless there’s silicone on the inside of a clip to grip the hair. If your baby fine hair is light in color, it may be almost see-through when backlit. This is not great if you want to feel like you have a nice full head of hair.

If you take a strand of baby fine hair and hold it parallel to the floor, the strand itself is such a small diameter that it forms almost a sharp 90-degree angle hanging straight down from the edge of your fingers; no curve of any sort as it hangs down.

It’s hard for straight baby fine hair to hold a curl unless you do harsh stuff to make it hold. That, in turn, damages your hair. Almost any processing damages baby fine hair. It’s also very easy to break strands of baby fine hair so you have to comb or brush carefully.

Baby fine hair will blow everywhere if there’s the slightest breeze. In my case, that means I’ve always got messy hair. Light baby fine hair is a pain if it gets blown onto your face or into your eyelashes.

You can feel it’s there, but it’s hard to see the individual delicate strands and hard to detect them with your fingers. That’s the scoop on baby fines. You live with it and figure out how to deal with it.

BUT, straight baby fine hair can be so shiny and smooth that it can look and feel as luxurious as silk when it’s in good condition. Like babies’ hair! This can be lovely if your hair is thick enough.

I’ve tried this product as directed with bad results. The product is too oily or thick even when put on extremely sparingly, so it weighs my hair down, making it look unwashed and stringy. So, I decided to try to use it as a rinse after shampooing, and have had better luck.

I distribute it throughout the hair from roots to tips and then rinse it out. Baby fine hair people will feel a kind of stickiness or roughness once it is rinsed out, and will have to comb their hair carefully so as not to break it, but it adds product in just the right amount for real baby fine hair to have some bounce and look thicker without weighing it down or making it look greasy.

It’s not going to be a dramatic difference though. I have had far better luck with the Living Proof Thickening Mousse. After trying what feels like hundreds of conditioners, mousses and creams that did nothing, LP Mousse has been my go-to product.

It’s the only product I’ve found that makes my hair look thicker and that lasts all day looking great. It makes me feel almost like I have normal-people-hair! But I take breaks. I found that blow-drying damages my hair too easily, and the mousse, although super effective at making my hair look thicker and giving it more body, makes my hair sticky enough that I break hair easily, even when combing gently.

So, Baby Fine Sisters take note. You have to handle your hair really gently with these products. Personally, I’d opt for the LP mousse over the cream, and be gentle with my hair. Hope this info helps!.

Was on the fence between 4 and 5 stars for this one! Only went with four because I’ve only been using it a little over a week so I may have to do an update and give it a little upgrade after a month.

So my all of my stylist over the years have always recommended mousse as the type of product that would work best on my hair type. Problem was that everyone I tried (and trust me, I tried them all from the $5 drug store brands to the $50 salon brands) left my scalp a white flaky mess and my hair greasy.

Well I just took the plunge and got a pixie cut recently and really felt like I needed a good thickener that wouldn’t weigh down my fine thin hair so on the recommendation of one of Sephora’s advisors I tried this one.

So far I couldn’t be happier! It plums up my short strands and gives me amazing texture! I am not greasy the next day and so far not a single white flake in sight and my scalp feels just fine. So if you have fine, thin, and frizz prone hair I would definitely recommend giving this one a try!.

I received the Living Proof full thickening mousse free for review from PINCHme and I’ve honestly really enjoyed this product. This mousse is said to boost volume while holding your style and I would definitely agree with that claim.

Its lightweight and smells quite nice. It’s not a super airy mousse but it’s not super dense either. It doesn’t evaporate right away but it’s not heavy or sticky at all. I have pretty long hair so instead of the standard egg size I typically use maybe two egg size dallops.

It has been way too hot and humid here lately to do much with my hair, and while the directions say to blow-dry, I just can’t. I apply it to my damp hair right after my shower and then I tie it up in a bun.

When it’s fully dry and I let it down, it’s so full of volume and the texture is lovely. The waves are beautiful and they do hold all day. Many products of this type cause my hair to get frizzy and almost static like but this one doesn’t do that.

I get no flyaways or frizz with this mousse and my hair smells so great. It’s a nice, light clean smell, very subtle. I’ve really enjoyed using this product and I would definitely recommend it. Oh, and I like the packaging as well.

The button you press to dispense the mousse is a nice solid button. For those of us that have hands and fingers that might not work so well, I had no issues.

I’ve been using this spray now for over a year. Prior to that, I would go back and forth between bumble and bumble spray de mode and bumble and bumble does it all, both of which go for $34 per 10 oz.

It was worth it for me because they both worked wonders at keeping my beach waves in tact. I love the look of “just walked up from the beach and didn’t touch my hair” but unfortunately to obtain that look, it requires quite a bit of effort! The last thing I wanted was to spend a while styling my hair and then the hairspray failing to hold it in place less time than it took me to style it.

I was traveling for work and forgot my spray and couldn’t find a salon in the area that carried bumble and bumble so I ran to the local drug store and bought the garnier flexible control and since then, I’ve never bought the bumble and bumble or any other brand.

This stuff works very effectively, and given how economical it is, I don’t have to be conservative with it either. It doesn’t make my hair feel sticky yet it lasts 10+ hours and smells good to boot! It’s not a firm hold, it just maintains a soft and kind-of flexible type hold.

Now I have it on subscribe and save so I never run out and I can’t beat the cost.

This product is perfect for those days when I have to get up early but did not have time to wash my hair the night before for that morning I love this product to help it look like I spent a lot of time doing my hair.

What I do is I’ll wash my hair that morning and then dry it as much as I can with a towel so it is more damp because you don’t want it dripping wet and then I just spray some of this gel in my hands, rub my hands together, and let’s run it through mainly the ends of my hair and then stay do a scrunching motion with it to this number curls look more defined and just look prettier and will hold for the rest of the day.

This gel does have a very good hold to it and I have pretty thick hair and it’s between medium and long length and it still works wonders for my hair. It is very affordable, very easy to use, and it does have a smell but it’s kind of like a hairspray smell so if you use a hairspray and all that stuff anyways then I don’t think the smell will bother you.

I highly recommend it!.

I have used this product since it came out over 20 years ago and still stand by this product. I use this product on my sons hair, my husbands and even my own. I will say that it makes my hair crunchy and so I usually use it and then add water to the bottle once there’s room, this helps dilute it some so that it doesn’t make my hair crunchy, but it still manages to hold my curly hair in place and makes it look soft and bouncy.

I usually have an empty bottle that I pour half of it in and then fill both bottles up with water, so I have 2 full bottles with half spray gel and half water. I love the smell and love this product.

I always keep it in my arsenal.

Please don’t ever stop making this mousse! It is my absolute favorite and the only thing that works for my curly hair. I’ve tried all other brands, expensive ones and frugal ones. Nothing works like this! I love it! Thanks for making such a great product! Loyal for life!.

I purchased this mousse because my regular mousse continues to be unavailable and I didn’t want to spend $20 – $30 on a new product. I have fine hair and used that as one of the filters when choosing this.

I only used it twice, as it left my hair flat and with flyaways (which I’ve never had). By the end of the day, my hair was completely flat and felt oily. I do not recommend it for fine hair.

This product claims to have a #4 hold and my hair says otherwise. After a handful of hours or a little bit of sweating my fly always will be bunched together like a crunchy stick and flapping around because they fell from my pony.

I’m not impressed with this formula. I tried making it work with some hairspray but after adding so much product, there’s a point where you just have to stop and wash it out. This product does have a hold to it but I would not call it a 4 hold, maybe 2.

I have very fine hair which sometimes causes me absolute horror. This product is absolutely wonderful. You need such a small amount and it creates so much volume. It doesn’t make your hair feel sticky in any way.

Even the next day my hair still looks great and even after having a shower and the bathroom becoming steamy my hair still looks brilliant. It is an absolute pleasure to use. Will definitely be purchasing again.

I tried this product at my local salon and I was impressed at how my hair held its shape after this product was applied and blow dried. I just purchased my first bottle and was pleased with the results of doing my own hair.

It’s lightweight but it holds the curl of a blow dry and makes hair look very shiny. Best part is the next day you can brush your hair out and it doesn’t feel greasy or like there is product leftover in your hair.

I’m only using small amounts and getting very good results. Great product and glad I tried it!.

I have enjoyed using a lot of Moroccanoil products over the years. And have been happy with them. During the winter I decided my hair needed a lift as the temps and humidity are very low. With great anticipation I ordered the volumizing mousse.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the product as it didn’t do what I was expecting. It left my fine hair looking flat and somewhat frizzy. I didn’t get the bounce I was expecting.

I used 3-4 pumps of the product on my super short, chin length hair. Blow dried upside down. Nothing happened. I think it did add a slight grip/texture so that’s nice. But for the price and amount you get, it’s not worth it just for the texture.

I did appreciate that the smell was very light.

I use this product after I get out of the shower for air dry waves or water mist my ends and use it if my hair is dry. I like this product because I can use it everyday and it does not have harsh chemicals.

Adds volume and a boost of life to my thin ends. I enjoy this product for the subtle volume and enhancement of waves. I also add a shine spray to give it extra shine for blonde hair.

I am always on the lookout for mousse that I can use on my vivid bright red hair that us color-safe (no sulfates, Parabens, drying alcohols, no silicone) that provide effective results that add lasting volume to my naturally fine, straight, lifeless hair.

Being a trusted name brand in the beauty industry, I decided to try the John Frieda Volume Lift Air-whipped Foam, as it didn’t have any of the color damaging ingredients listed that I avoid in any product I apply to my hair.

After using the product a few times and getting the same results after each use, I decided to try different brands instead. The John Frieda Volume Lift Air-whipped Foam didn’t add volume to my hair at all, even though I applied it with my hair flipped upside down and even used my blow dryer briefly to help the lift be more effective.

Stoll nothing. The only difference I notice in my hair was that it looked greasy and weighed down after applying the product. I was hoping for the opposite results. Plus even though it claims to be color-safe, I did notice a big difference is the vibrancy of my color, sadly.

So unfortunately this didn’t work well on my fine, straight, color-treated hair, although different hair types may get different results.

Firstly, I have found this a brilliant mousse. I had chemotherapy a few years ago and lost my hair. When it grew back was very thin and limp. Believe me I have spent hundreds of pounds trying to get a product to give me more volume.

So I was over the moon to find this. You only need a small amount and leaves hair smooth and lots of volume. I normally buy when Boots has 3 for 2 offer, but am now getting really fed up that once I have used 1/4 to 1/5 of can the nozzle then packs up and mousse just comes out like liquid & leaves my hair all crunchy.

So at the present time I have 5 cans that are unusable. Will have to look for different product.

I’ve tried many root lifting products but I decided to give this a try and even though I have long hair that is weighed down, it still made my hair look way fuller. You don’t need a lot, the foam comes out really nice and full from the container.

I only put it on my roots once towel dried. No need to overdo it. You can feel the product a little bit when dry but definitely not greasy looking or feeling, just feels like my hair has more texture at my roots.

Blowing out your hair properly will give it extra boost. I highly recommend it!.

I use this for when I need a strong hold on my curls. It gives you nicely defined curls when you use it while your hair is still wet, and the hold on it works really well! It helps to prevent any frizz after your hair dries.

It does dry kinda hard, but it at least doesn’t look crunchy. It gives your curls a clean definition to them. One of my favorites, and it smells good! I do feel like I need to use more of this than other mousses because it doesn’t lather on wet hands, it kinda just liquifies.

Good for hair types 2c and 3a.

I really like Herbal Essences as a brand. So I’ve tried a lot of their products. They are good value @$3-$4 per most items. They pretty much all smell great. Which is also the case with Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse.

Easy to use. Smells great. But didn’t quite get the volume I was hoping for. I noticed with my curly hair that if I kinda scrunched the mousse in them blowdried my hair that it did seem thicker.

I have always been someone who likes to alternate hair products and many years ago, every time I used Matrix products, I would get compliments on how my hair looked. As a result I have tended to keep Matrix as one of my basic lines.

Having just returned to UK from North America, I have been adjusting to a different selection of hair products. I was delighted to realize that LookFantastic stock Matrix and this was my first of my new purchases.

This Volume Hair Mousse again proves that Matrix have the solution for fine hair which although there is plenty of it, tends to look flat, particularly at the moment with lockdown and no haird cut for twice as long as I would normally expect to last.

It totally does everything it promises.

I was very pleased with the results from this mousse and it did give my hair volume. The only negative is that it doesn’t wash out as easily. I was disappointed when Matrix discontinued Style Link Airy Builder Mousse but I do prefer the results from this mousse.

I actually have thick hair, but I wanted a product that would help hold the voluminous/messy/chic look I was going for. IT. SMELLS. SO. GOOD! When you leave the salon and your hair smells and feels amazing; that’s what this product is.

I think a problem that previous users have had has to do with whether or not they had color-treated hair. It absorbs very well when I use it, and it doesn’t feel like I’ve got any product in my hair.

I’ll use it for life.

For reference I have mid to long wavy hair. It is not super thin but not overly thick, probably about average. I was looking for a product to give my hair volume so it doesn’t continually flatten throughout the day.

I was excited to try this mousse, the bottle is vibrant and very eye catching. It dispenses like any other mousse and I followed the directions on the bottle and massaged into my hair and scalp. I applied after showering when my hair was still slightly damp but not really wet.

The scent of the mousse was very pleasant and it foamed up nicely. The results were just what I was looking for. It gave my hair volume and it kept my curls in tact without being overly crunchy like some mousses can do.

I was very happy with this product.

I used to use Got2B products quite a bit when I was in my late teens to early twenties, I honestly forgot about the brand and didn’t realize they were still available and producing quality products. I was super stoked to be given the opportunity by Chick Advisor to participate in their campaign and test out a array of products from the Gliss and Got2B line for free.

I am a mousse collector of sorts. My hair is not fully curl, nor fully wavy, sort of in between of curly and wavy, but not in the nice beautiful way, I don’t get out of the shower and dare to let my tresses air dry without styling aids because if I do, its a hot mess of waves, curls, frizz and flyaway’s.

So for that reason, I am always on the hunt for light weigh mousse with semi-strong to mild hold, so I have a ton of half used cans. Got2B’s volumaniac mousse is that product, except it gave me a ton of volume which I never seem to achieve with mousse.

The product itself smells amazing, which stays in my hair hours later which is wonderful. I applied all over my hair, scrunching a bit and once dried my hair is nice and curly with subtle waves, full of volume and looks fabulous.

The pump allows you to control how much you need, you don’t need very much, don’t over mousse or you will end up with the wet look, which tends to look greasy. My hair was soft and was able to survive the humidity and didn’t look like a head full of frizz at the end of the day.

This product costs a bit more than other brands, honestly its worth it, I do not mind paying more for something I am 100% happy with, and something I don’t need a lot of. I already have been looking online to see where I can order it from because I am happy to report I can toss all of my half used cans and switch to Got2B.

I gotta say I love this stuff. I’ve been using a different brand but stumbled across this one and for the price decided to try it. It’s amazing. My hair is full, fluffy, soft and not crunchy/hard feeling at all.

I have curly hair. The ones that say their hair is crunchy, are probably using too much. I use one little pump (my hair is slightly past my shoulders) and that is the perfect amount. It works better than the more expensive brand I’ve been using.

Boo has changed their both the appearance and the make up of their products—both unfortunate. I loved the golden color of their previous hair product line. The new color scheme looks best suited to baby products.

It’s got zero appeal. their old hairspray (in the gold yellow bottles) was the only one our family used as it worked great and had the least amount of fragrance or chemicals of anything else on the market.

This new product has very little hold or staying power.

I bought this product 3 times in past. Liked that it was non toxic and Canadian. I was fairly pleased with product but bottles kept clogging. Ordered another bottle this week and the scent is overwhelming.

Please offer an unscented version.

Best thing about the product is it doesn’t leave that bad scent a typical hairspray does in the air. Works well for me, especially styling my hair on short notice. Best results if my hair is unwashed for a day or so, not the product I personally use right after washing my hair.

Like any hair product it can have different results of a variety of hair types so if it doesn’t work well for you, pass it to a friend.

I really wanted to love this product- as I do all the others I’ve purchased. In fact I purchased 2 full size and 2 travel size cans. However- I was unable to get either of the full sized cans to spray (the sprayer won’t press down).

I also had a great deal of difficulty getting my hand around the can (the can is too wide). Even the travel size was difficult to spray and just produced a very small spurt- not a spray. With hairspray- you want a lightweight “net” effect that covers a large enough area as it sprays to provide protection and holds your style.

Hopefully the can and sprayer just need to be redesigned. I’m sure the actual product is a good one- I just didn’t have the opportunity to try the actual products I purchased.

Sometimes I think Virtue & I are at odds. I have been a faithful customer for years and have purchased a wide variety of their not-inexpensive products. I think Virtue makes great haircare for me, so I’m happy to pay for it.

But twice now, they’ve cut a product that I loved: dry shampoo & the original hairspray. Granted, the original hairspray was so sticky that it would immediately clog the nozzle but nozzles can be cleared and the firm but flexible hold was unparalleled! So when they came out with this new hairspray, of course I tried it.

Early thoughts: very flexible & soft to the touch but little holding power.

This product helps prepare my hair for my Dyson dryer curl wand. I have straight hiliighted fine yet thick hair. The curls were a bit stiff initially when I applied primer to each section I curled. The curls lasted only about 4 hours.

The primer isn’t the best I’ve used but it’s certainly not the worst. I also used the Full shampoo and conditioner prior to the primer application. Overall it’s a very pricey hair regime without much gain and I won’t be reordering for myself.

I am so disappointed in my experience with this product and the company. This canister of product stopped working after my second use! I called the company for support and the response was the same has happened to “a few other customers” and proceeded to explain that air gets trapped in the dispenser if you press too hard and it cannot be fixed to continue use.

So they made it sound like it was MY fault and then did not refund my money but put it in my account with them so if I want my money I have to use it with them! It is not MY fault your product has faulty dispenser!! It’s interesting to see the reviews of many other customers having the same issue.

I guess it’s their fault too huh? That is a poor customer and work ethic. Blame the customer and then make them use the refund at your company. Wow!.

I love all of the Virtue products. I started using the shampoo and conditioner back in February 2022. I had lost a lot of my hair due to having Covid. These products have been wonderful to restore the fullness back to my hair and new growth.

I’ve tried many products but so far virtue has been the best to use. I highly recommend all of your products if you got damaged or lost a lot of hair. Are use this primer daily And have noticed a lot of new hair growth.

I recently bought a can of Suave – Firm Control Boosting Mousse and loved it — for about three uses. The mousse, when used sparing, gave just the right body to my fine hair – very pleased with results.

After the third or fourth use, however, the can became non-functional. Therefore, thinking I bought a defective can, I bought another can and after only two uses had the same experience. Running the nozzle under hot water only “fixed” one can, but then the product came out as a liquid, not with mousse consistency, even after a solid minute of shaking.

You need to fix this issue: It’s very frustrating. From what I have been now reading in reviews, this same packaging issue has been taking place for at least three to four years. I am a big fan of your products, but if the packaging cannot become functional, my business will go to competitors, as my current purchases of this product are an obvious waste of money.
