This book is awesome for every DND player. Just get the book. It’s a well-made hardcover with full color pages and tons of relevant info to everyone’s campaign. It is worth the price I paid (about $23 or $24 I think) and it’s just a nice thing to own.

My one issue with this order is the small-ish dent on the top back cover. My other books in this order were fine probably because they were wrapped in plastic. Maybe the dent came before shipping. I’ll never know, but the dent on my otherwise perfect book will always be there.

I would upload images of the book but unfortunately Target website says “Sorry, your file could not be uploaded. “.

There are so many typos in this manual that I’m wondering if it’s a copy rather than an original. How can something this well read not have had these corrected by now? Did no-one prof read it? Easily one typo per page.

Every (except for headings for some reason) time ‘orc’ occurs in the manual it’s printed as ‘ore’. But there are lots and lots of other typos and weird corrupted words. I can nearly always work out what the intent of the sentence was but it’s surprising that SO MANY errors made it to print.

That said it’s a good manual, sturdy hard-back construction. A few things could be explained better but all in all still worth purchasing, unless there is a newer edition or re-print available in which case (assuming the errors have been fixed) I’d recommend getting that edition instead.

I have interesting feelings about 5E as someone who started with Dungeons and Dragons 3. 5 edition 11 years ago. For a player who is new and looking to jump right into tabletop RPGs this system is excellent.

Character creation has been improved thanks in large part to a well organized and easy to read book, and the general variety of classes and races is a welcomed touch as well. The book itself is of excellent quality, with some of the most consistent and imaginative artwork that one will find in any tabletop RPG.

My concerns with the Player’s Handbook, as well as 5E as a whole is that there is a general lack of depth found in previous editions as well as other systems. At first this frustrated me, especially when I usually start my players at higher levels.

Equipping players with tailor made, customized gear is not as cut and dry as it has been in the past with the various tables available for magical item generation with the estimated in game gold costs.

This leaves much more responsibility on the DM to know the items available, knowing the overall balancing of the system, and coming up with items and starting gold appropriate to the tier of play. In some ways it puts more power in the hands of the DM, but in some ways it can stifle some of the player’s ability to think creatively in their builds during creation.

However, these are minor criticisms as the overall ease of play, variety of subclasses, races, and abilities make this system an excellent addition to any bookshelf and is a nice starting point for new players or veterans looking for a game with flexibility and ease of play.

Xanthars Guide To Everything is just that. An amazing source book especially for a Dungeon Master. New spells, gear, weapons, tables for names when making PCs and NPCs. The book even has notes from Xanthar himself that break the fourth wall as he talks to the reader and his pet fish.

Highly recommend to a DM and those who play D&D.

Xanathar’s Guide should be an easy purchase for D&D fans. Featuring excellent, fun new subclass options, and invaluable resources for DMs, this book is a valuable addition for both players and Dungeon Masters.

One of the first books I bought after the original three, and worth every penny.

If youve just bought a new bike the chances are the pedals supplied with it will be ugly cheap plastic ones and youll most likely want to replace them. Thats what I did with my new Specialized Hybrid bike anyway and I opted for these Shimano ones.

As their name suggests, they are really intended for modern MTBs which means Id say theyre slightly bigger than average-sized pedals designed perhaps for ordinary everyday commuting for example, and they have a much larger platform.

These pedals are perhaps a bit heavier therefore than your average pedals but appear to be fairly solidly made and come with good smooth bearings. I bought mine with a discount so they were priced reasonably ok.

Above that price though, I wouldnt say they represent particularly good value for money, and I would be inclined to look at other brands, such as DMR if I were looking to buy some more pedals. I’m not sure what material the screws that come with these pedals are actually made from – I assumed they were Stainless Steel – however, after only a few rides in the rain, I notice that the heads on some of the screws appear to be showing what looks like rust; so I’m not sure whether overall I would say these pedals are a particularly good product.

I bought a fancy XC bike for non-race riding, so was looking for something that was light, large, comfortable, not too grippy, and not too pricey. To check all boxes is basically impossible, so I sacrificed weight.

These have a wider footprint than most one-size-only pedals, and are slightly concave, so quite comfortable for longer distances. I haven’t tried the adjustable pins yet, but the default is less grippy, which is fantastic for less aggressive riding.

In short: the design is fantastic. The main trade-off is weight. These are on the heavy end of the spectrum, at 533g, but in the end for most of us the 100-200g difference over ligher options won’t be noticable.

If weight is a primary concern, you’ll need to make sacrifices elsewhere (size, cost, etc. ).

Super quality product. It’s heavy, much heavier than my original pedals. I can’t imagine that my speed increases with such heavier pedals. Originally, I thought a heavy-weighted pedals will lower my speed, but it turns out to be the opposite.

A heavier pedals are harder to propel at first, but easier to maintain rolling momentum for keeping high speed more easily. It’s out of my expectation.

I’m pretty familiar with D&D 5e, and I purchased this mostly to see if it would be a good kit to pass around to groups of new players. The good news is: yes, it is! The bad news: I now have a lot of extra, lower-quality stuff that I don’t need and will want to reinforce or update before sharing.

Dice included: 1d4, 4d6, 1d8, 1d10, 1d10 percentage, 2d20. You’ll want more, but you could manage with just those. A small cardboard box is also included, which I assume is for storing the dice and cards.

The map is double-sided with a hex grid for the regional view. (The hex is not large enough for miniatures and is just to indicate distance. The set also doesn’t include information about working with a grid, anyway.

) The DM’s screen is a condensed (in terms of space, not text) version of the Dungeon Master’s Screen Reincarnated. The only information it seems to be missing is exhaustion stages. It’s full color, but it’s also made out of a lightweight cardstock, and it already showed edge wear when I took it out of the box.

For the price, we can’t expect a quality board like the Screen Reincarnated, but DMs will probably want to add a bit of packing tape to reinforce the edges. The rulebook is a condensed (in terms of content) version of the free Basic Rules with an added class (Bard); two Archetypes (one more than Basic) for each class; some magic items, and two pages on Sidekicks.

(Note that animal sidekicks are not included in this and leveling options are limited. We can probably expect Sidekicks to be fully officially released in another publication. ) Background options are also a bit different from the Basic Rules.

Information is included for characters and Sidekicks up to level 6. It’s a little unfortunate that pertinent information for DMs isn’t duplicated in the adventure book; you can expect to pass the rulebook around a lot during play.

The included character sheets don’t include a page for spells. You’ll probably end up printing off more anyway, but with several spellcasters included in the player options, it’s a little odd not to include something for marking spells.

Again, you’ll be passing the rulebook around a lot. Glancing through, the adventure itself looks complex and interesting. It gives the players a home base in the town of Phandalin, and there are several options for different quests and dungeons set in the area.

I wouldn’t have minded buying it outside of the Essentials Kit; as expected, it looks like a great introductory campaign set. The cards are both interesting and a little disappointing. Included are cards on perforated cardstock for: initiative order, status conditions, premade Sidekick characters, magic items, and combat rules.

Like another reviewer, I really wish they weren’t perforated. Even cutting them out ourselves with a scissors would have made for a better effect. They have some good content on them, though, and it’s nice to be able to hand them out.

The Combat cards are a thorough disappointment, though. They explain how you start combat and take turns, but they don’t explain what can happen on a player’s turn. In my experience, it’s easy for a DM to get combat started and supervise turn order, but new (and sometimes old) players can always use a refresher on what their options are each time their turn comes up.

Overall, this is a great starter set. The learning curve is still pretty high (especially for the DM), but with as complex as D&D can be, this is a decent introduction. If you’ve already been collecting D&D books and peripherals, you might want the adventure for introducing some new players, but you won’t want anything else in the set.

Ran this cable from our cable modem router upstairs, along the ceiling, through a couple of walls (using Monoprice wall plate thingies to make it look nice), and down to my desk in my study. Being able to plug my laptop directly into the router, 3 doors away, makes all the difference.

So much faster and more stable than WiFi, and it frees up WiFi bandwidth for other things in the house. I have never had a problem live-streaming since getting a direct cable connection. It?s a good cable! ?so I bought two more, in different colors, to connect the mesh routers downstairs to the mesh base upstairs! No confusion about which is which, no labels needed.

And the mesh WiFi is even better with Ethernet connections between the routers.

This Cat 6 Ethernet cable is of good quality and rated for “in wall”, installation. I used it to run a permanent wire in the ceiling to a media room. It feeds an Home Essentials Direct Fire Stick 4K and works well.

The tabs on the plug are strong and covered under rubber boots. In my case, where I do not plug and unplug the cable with use, that works out great as I never have to worry about the cable coming loose.

Unplugging it can be a bit of a challenge going “bare hands”. The trick is to use a small flat screw driver that enables you to fully push in the locking tab to release the plug; I think it is the rubber boot that covers the release tab that limits how far in you can push the tab making it seem impossible to unplug.

If you have a need to frequently unplug the Ethernet cable then perhaps you may want to consider a different cable to avoid potential frustration; perhaps a cable without the rubber boot or one with a softer rubber boot.

If you are using it for a more permanent setup where you do not unplug it after installing then this is a great value and it works well. Giving 5 stars for permanent use application which is my experience.

For frequent unplug need, I would rate it 4 stars because of the rubber boot on the plug making it difficult to unplug; use of a small flat screw driver does help.

My daughter just built a gaming pc and did not want to worry about wifi being a performance bottleneck. Problem was that the nearest router with ethernet was in an adjacent office on a far wall. Hence the need for a long cable.

The purple color was the cheapest option at 100ft and matches well against our blue carpet. I had to run this along seven walls and up over one doorway, so I ended up using almost all of the length. Works perfect, looks great, and the price was right.

The Black Dragon mini is pretty nice in itself. Cool sculpt with the wings. It feels more like an Ancient-sized figure, as it’s comparable in size to past Ancient/gargantuan dragon minis from Wizkids and other brands.

In fact, this particular model has a 4″ base, which is technically gargantuan (and thus Ancient). The issue that I had was that the tolerances and QC for putting it together were not great. The feet were not set onto the base pegs neatly (I don’t think the pegs line up with the holes to begin with, so I imagine the worker who put it together had to struggle to even get it close).

The pegs are glued, so it’s hard to correct it (and again, it doesn’t look like they’re aligned anyway). In any case, this made the tail, which comes down close to the ground, below the lower level of the base, and thus nearly tipping the whole mini over when you set it on the table (because the wings are very top-heavy).

This can be mitigated by adding some thickness to the existing base. Kind of a pain though, after spending a decent amount of money. Or I suppose I could shave off the tail, but that’s ridiculous. So again, nice mini but the manufacturing quality was poor.

This Adult Red Dragon is beautifully crafted and designed. The sheer size of this dragon is fantastically intimidating but with a Royal elegance to it. The red paint used has a darker tone which makes him look aged.

The dark cream color used for his horns, teeth, claws and underbelly compliment this figure perfectly. He also has a darker shading on the ends of his wings and his sail that runs from the back of his neck to the top of his tail.

The red dragons plastic casing it comes in isn’t the best. It seems as if the dragon was too big for its packaging, but they did improvise by taping the plastic casing to prevent the miniature from moving.

Unlike the black dragon, this miniature does not come with a back drop, which is unfortunate. Highly recommend this miniature.

I tried a cheap stylus off ebay when my old one needed replacing. It was awful. Harsh, distorted and really not nice to listen to. Then I did what I should have in the first place, upped my budget a bit and picked up an Ortofon 10 from Richer Sounds.

It wasn’t exactly a revelation (I’ve had one before) but compared to the cheap one it’s worlds apart. Lovely rich detailed sound. Perfect match for my Pro-ject turntable. It’s not ‘cheap’, but you get what you pay for.

I recived my new Ortofon stylus10 April 2022. Great service by Richer sounds think it arrived two days after i ordered it. I got this to replace the Ortofon 5e that was on my project carbon player. To say i have been missing out is true, the Ortofon 5e was good but changing the the Ortofon 10 is a massive step forward.

The sound is bright with so much more detail and clarity, i hear things on records that i didnt even know was there. The price of this needle is well worth it and will improve any record player that needs a needle upgrade but make sure you set up your player again.

Replacement stylus for Pro-Ject turntable. I chose the Ortofon 10, and is the second I have fitted to my toner arm – fitting is a really quick and easy job. I have found this stylus on my system (Cambridge CXA60, CP1 preamp and Dali Pico speakers to be a great match.

The sound reproduction is clear and well balanced, and I listen to a range of music on vinyl from 1940s big band, 1960s through to 1980s synthpop and more modern records. Overall, this is an excellent stylus for my needs and is an affordable and quality upgrade to the Ortofon 5 which is often fitted to Pro-Ject turntables.

Bought this Gretsch G5427T while it was on sale at my local GC. Wow, I picked it up and it was love at first sight. The feel was perfect, needed no adjustments. The sound, tonal variation possibility & playability plus the fact that they only had one left, helped me decide to make this purchase now.

Got it home, plugged it in and it sounds even better on my amps which are the Fender Cyber Twin & the 25G which is a decent practice amp. The pure tones had me mesmerized for hours and I felt musical creative ideas coming to me almost instantly.

I have always wanted a Gretsch but for some odd reason never acquired one until now. I did not want to spend thousands on a high end guitar nor would it have been a wise idea on my part to do so despite my desire for a vintage Duo Jet or something much higher.

This guitar is well made, the action is just the way I like it (low strings but never buzzing on the frets) and the controls facilitate good variation of tones while playing. I am primarily a keyboard player and a decent on guitar but don’t really consider myself a virtuoso guitarist by any means.

This guitar is a great buy for the dollars all the way around. I guess you could classify me as an older retired former professional musician that actively gigged for many years in various bands in the USA plus Australia.

Got this to span the outer edge of my office and then swing around the back of my desk. No other cable I had was long enough to reach but this one is perfect. Connections snap nicely into place. Color is bright and the wire is thick and well made.

No complaints. Would definitely buy again.

Do you know how hard it is to find a cheap long ethernet cable man was it hard but luckily office depot got our back. Sure it’s not Cat 6 but for a 2m cable at this price, it’s unbeatable. I wish the delivery was a little quicker but other than that the cable works efforts to bring me gigabit ethernet to my new computer.

Greetings, I purchased several of these pre-made cables to replace my aging cat-5e in my office. I have found them to be very well made, and every diagnostic I have run on them backs up the claim they are a quality cable.

Being a Systems Administrator, I would usually prefer to purchase a “box of cable” over pre-made any day of the week. But the lengths offered were perfect for my application, and the price was definitely an improvement over a few hundred bucks for quality Cat-6.

In fact, I decided to purchase a few extras, “just in case” some had issues. And now I have that many extras. Just be double sure you take good measurements of your own to confirm you buy the correct cable length.

Its always good to go over a few feet. And always tie the cables to something every meter or so to take the tension off the wire to prevent future issues. Long story made short: Take it from a SysAdmin, These are good quality Ethernet cables.

This 50 foot long ethernet port is being used to connect to a router in my room at my college apartment. So the ideal thing for a poor college student to do would be to string an ethernet cord out of the room where the original router is, around my door frame, around the perimeter of the room, and to my router (yeah a bit ghetto I know, but hey, it’s college! haha).

🙂 I’ve got to say, I was very excited that I found a 50 foot cable for only $8, but was a bit concerned that the quality would be poor because of the price, but I decided to take a gamble. I was surprised though, and very pleased.

The cable connectors have a sleeve that protects the plastic tab that locks the cord into the port; this way it won’t snap off when you pull the cord bundle out of a box of cords or something like that.

For me, that is essential because I have a lot of computer cords. Quality. I would give the quality a 4 out of 5 stars, because it does feel a bit cheap, but it does seem like it is going to be durable enough for what I am using it for.

Also, because it was only $8, I would say that the manufacture went above and beyond to create a cable that has a decent quality for the price. To wrap it up, I will list some pros and cons. Pros: -Excellent price for the quality -Works just as wellas any other ethernet cable -Comes with a sleeve that prevents the plastic locking tab from breaking Cons -The cord feels a bit cheap, but for the price this isn’t an issue.

So far, so good. SO LONG. I didn’t realize how long 100 feet would be. I live in a 1300 sq ft home and I could have gone with 50 feet. Oh well. Live and learn. Works like a champ and provides plenty of speed.

I set this up because the hubby was tired of waiting hours for COD updates to download. Now, he waits mere minutes. All I did was hook it up to my router and BAM! He’s back to plundering and yelling “I’m down, I’m down” over and over again.

Cat 6 Ethernet cables deliver the most consistent Internet experience. These LAN cables are very flexible and can be “woven around” door frames with ease. The outer coating is durable and doesn’t crack.

Of all the published 5e adventures, the Lost Mine of Phandelver and the Dragon of Icespire Peak are the best. They give you a world to explore and quest in, whereas the other 5e adventures give a railroad style campaign narrative or an overwhelming poorly organized jumble (Curse of Strahd is an exception – Curse of Strahd is great too).

For character creation, the Essentials Kit rules are great, especially for beginners or rules-light folks (like me!) – they give you the essential D&D character races, classes, backgrounds and spells, rather than the analysis-paralysis-inducing glut of character and spell options in the Player’s Handbook.

Spellcaster’s spell lists are included in their class description, which I really like. Likewise, the monsters in the Lost Mine of Phandelver and Dragon of Icespire Peak appendices are the quintessential D&D monsters – goblins, orcs, dragons, ogres, owlbears, centaurs, undead, cultists, mimics, stirges, with a smattering of exotic pretties like the doppleganger and nothic – you can run a lot of awesome D&D adventures with them alone, sans Monster Manual! The MM does have all those cool, adventure-inspiring monster write-ups, but I actually prefer the brief monster descriptions in these adventure books – the details aren’t necessary when the monsters are already placed in an adventure, and I prefer to imagine up my own monster personalities/descriptions.

(Although when it comes to moster tactics, there’s no beating The Monsters Know What They’re Doing – an essential book for any 5e DM). For any DM who wants to really study the game and learn it, these are the products to do it: with a tight set of familiar spell, monster, magic item, and character archetypes and the core mechanics of the system, without the dizzying fluff of the DMG, MM, and PHB.

I was long discouraged by one of the previous reviews, which says this is “medium size creature with a large base”. Mainly, because ‘large’ or ‘medium’ are categories that can include a whole lot of different sized creatures, and I was afraid this minotaur will come too small.

But I decided to give this miniature a try, and was not disappointed. Firstly, I am going to use this miniature in various D&D games. In 5e, the listed height of a minotaur is 6-7 feet, a bit higher than a human.

Monster Manual gives ‘large’ as a size for NPC minotaur, while both Guildmaster’s Guide to Ravnica and Mystic Odysseys of Theros gives us ‘medium’ as the size for PC minotaurs, likely for balance issues.

In 4e, NPC minotaurs were predominantly medium, some of NPC ones were large. PC ones, again, were medium. As you can see by the picture, this minotaur is definately bigger than average human, and would be actually even higher without the dynamic pose.

I’ve decided to glue it on a 32mm base, so both miniatures on a photo are standing on top of such bases, to provide better perspective. It sticks out of base boundaries a bit, but this way, it will be still possible to pass as a PC medium minotaur and (almost) fit into one square, or actually be planted on a larger 50mm base that is included (left one on the photo), and represent the NPC minotaur of large size.

So I would not call the miniature a disappointment. To me, it is actually of a dual purpose – the size of the miniature itself is quite sufficient, and makes it possible to represent both D&D size categories using just diffrent-sized bases.

I love this mini and can’t wait to paint it. The quality of the mini itself is superb. My beef is with Home Essentials Direct Marketplace. The item listing stated “”Damaged box. “” I take damaged box to mean a damaged but unopened item.

I understand that many consumers will return a damaged but unopened item believing a damage box means damaged goods. I am willing to accept minor damage to an item if the listing states “”damaged box.

“” However, I do expect damage to be minimal at worst and that all pieces of the item will be present. The box was so badly torn it was clear the item has been opened and was in fact an open box item.

That’s a horse of a different color; if I buy something listed as open box I know I am taking the chance of moderate damage and missing piece. I would not have paid what I did for open box on an item like this.

Thankfully there was no damage to the item I could find, and all parts are present except the insert that came with the item (I have seen unboxing videos of the pre-painted version and know what was supposed to be in there).

Please list items correctly to be fair to potential consumers and ensure they are paying a fair price. For the risk I took in buying this, I actually overpaid.

This company was top notch in getting these patch cables out to me in a jiffy! Cable seems to perform fine, but the release is difficult. Once inserted / clicked into the port, removing it from the port can be challenging.

I’ve had issues releasing multiple patch cables from CCS as opposed to other sources, which release immediately when the tab is depressed. Overall, decent cable if you don’t need to remove once installing; can become frustrating if you do.

Works fine. Good cable. – Blue = Voice – no need for a boot as you will never snag them and you can’t see the connection on the underside of the phone or ina cube. Coarse also a waste to use 10g+ cables for a 160 kbs phone to order lunch but welcome to the dumb world of VoiP.

And no, they have separate switches and cabling for the data – not daisy chaining.
