20 Best Waffle Cone Maker (2022 Updated)

My 4 star rating is mainly because it actually seems to be well built and it does work. Just know this is a Chinese copy of probably a great product. It DOES work but the supplied instructions are in typical Chinese translation of English and the operating temperature designations for minimum and maximum heat in the do not match the MIN – MAX on the unit.

I don’t plan on making waffle cones more than once or twice a year. I love ice cream and waffle cones but I also like wearing the same sized clothes for the past 40 decades. No, I don’t wear the same clothes from 40 years ago.

It certainly does perform as advertised.

We always enjoy the homemade waffle cones at the ice cream shops so I purchased this to enjoy them at home. The recipe with the instructions was confusing so I found a couple online. We always end up with the mixture overflowing and making a mess.

I think it will take time to figure out the correct amount to use. The cooked “cone” is so delicate that we end up putting it into a bowl. I can’t imagine being able to roll it and fill it with ice cream without having it crumble.

We will try other recipes and see if that makes a difference.

For 20$ I wouldn’t expect it to be any better, in fact I was very pleased with it’s performance. Even warmth, crispy and thin. Hard to figure out the temp. at first as it stay’s constant and I wasn’t paying attention to the 2 green/red lights.

Takes about a min or two for waffle to be done, depending on the color you like. Must roll immediately as they crisp up within seconds. I have mine set on “hour 2 or 3” looking at the circle between min/max.

It’s ok. I had expected more. The little cone mold is too slippery and you’ll definitely burn your fingers trying to make a cone. Every cone also ends up with a big gaping hole in the bottom b/c of the waffles coming out thick.

If you cut down on the batter you end up with odd shaped waffles that just don’t look right. Anyway, it isn’t ideal.

I love this ice cream maker! The best one I found that actually makes the cones look perfect and bakes them evenly unlike other brands I tried. It a good feature that you can choose how crispy and well done you want your cone to be and once it is done the light turns green which makes it easier and you don’t have to guess when it is done.

It is very well made and is super sturdy. I use it about once every week and it is worked well for me for the past 2 years with no issues at all. I love it and recommend it to everyone! Performance super easy.

It looks like it will last a very long time. Settings/Features I love the features because you can choose how well done you want your cone to be and the light turns green once the waffle cone is done.

Ease of Cleaning it is very easy to clean, you just need to wipe with a damp paper towel. Durability it is very durable, I had it for 2 years with no problems and it looks very sturdy and I am sure it will last me for a very long time!.

Love this & can’t wait to use for company this summer. If you’ve used any wafflemaker, you can use this one, too. Followed instructions & came out great first time. May lighten the color with the adjustment, but other than that, am happy with result.

Even if you don’t get the bottom as tightly clised as you want, iyou can carefully put a mini marshmallow in the bottom, & it will stop “leaks”. Make ahead or fresh – great taste and fun to make, and house smells delicious!!.

The waffle iron plates are not even, do not heat evenly and the hinge is too loose. This results in uneven cooking of the waffles which then results in redos and too much waste. Several emails back and forth to get full refund and still out $81.

Shipped well. Product box seams came apart in shipping, but it was well protected inside. This is working well and keeps up with feeding our family of five. As long as you spray the grids before each fill, waffles lift out easily.

The included measuring cup has a handle that makes it convenient to hang on the side of the batter bowl between uses. Very happy with this purchase.

Got the first waffle maker completely broken. Contacted the seller, he immediately sent a new one, although it was not his fault. The second is all right. I highly recommend the shop!

We loved making these with the kids. Comes with everything you need to make the cones and bowls. They are fresh, fun, and yummy! Great for ice cream, or smores! I will most likely be getting these as gifts this season.

This waffle cone maker works well. However I was a bit grossed out. I ordered it online and what was sent to me was a used one. The waffle cone maker was dirty and had someone else’s dried up mix inside of it! Very disappointed in Bed bath and beyond for sending me a returned item that was used! I had to really clean it before I could even use it!.

Great product! It is nonstick and easy to clean. It comes with a cone roller and bowl maker press. It is very convenient. I always use it in summer. The cones and bowls turn out perfect. I am really satisfied with this product and I would definitely recommend it.

Bowl maker is the right size for any snack. To make the bowls is for adults only. The lid on mine would not stay open and came down. Which, can cause someone to get burned. The recipe is off. If you put in the recommended amount which is 3 tablespoons of mix.

The waffle maker will overflow. Not very good in cleanup. The batter is too thin, and causes the bowl to tear trying to get it out. Had to adjust the mix and put less in. Then, it worked fine. You just have to be careful taking the bowls out.

Once cool, they are hard like an ice cream cone.

I bought this like a month ago and it’s the worst thing I’ve ever bought. The waffle bowl it self is not deep so you can’t really put anything in it and it’s super uncomfortable to use. The mess it makes is awful.

It’s also super tiny and the instructions it give you are off. It asks you to put a certain amount in the waffle make but it’s too much so it makes a HUGEEE mess. It also doesn’t stand open by itself so you have to hold it but it’s super hot so you can’t really hold it.

It’s just super uncomfortable to use. I wanted tod to return it but I paid 5$ for shipping and you have to pay $10 to return it which is too much! Hated this. Please don’t waste your money.

Love the Dash mini waffle maker and thought the waffle bowl would be equally awesome, but alas it is not so. I have only tried it with the classic waffle bowl recipe. The recommended amount of batter is too much and it makes a huge mess along with the bowl looking very unappetizing.

Another thing is that it requires a significantly longer time to cook each bowl. I will keep this and experiment with recipes until I find a suitable use. Just don’t expect the simple and tasty results that comes with Dash’s mini waffle maker.

This item had to be shipped and I waited 5 weeks for it to arrive.

I purchased two of these; one for myself and one as a gift for a friend. I did that because I liked the description of the unit, the look, the fact that it made the thicker Belgian style Waffles and that the maker has a “CRISPER” selector dial.

I like my waffles crisp and brown on the exterior, fluffy on the interior. Plus, the price was good. I really like the all black look of the Waffle Maker. The power cord is long enough to reach an outlet without stretching the cord taught.

I found the Pre-Cleaning of the waffle grates a bit time consuming and tedious, as they are not removable and you cannot submerge the item, or even pass it under a stream of water; it is not water tight at all.

On my first attempt at a waffle (I used Krusteaz Crisp Waffle Mix), I oiled the waffle grates with extra lite olive oil (you cannot ever use spray oils), and heated the unit until the ready light came on.

That first time, I did not place enough batter on the waffle grates, so that waffle was thin and as I had not turned the dial high enough, it wasn’t as dark as I would have liked. For my second waffle, I made certain I filled the provided plastic measuring cup with batter and turned the Crispness knob to number 5.

I also left the waffle cooking a bit longer after the ready light turned blue for extra doneness. I was much happier with this waffle. It had a nice brown color, was fluffy inside, however it was not really crispy.

Next time, I am going to use one of the recipes provided with the waffle maker. That recipe opposed to a box mix, will likely provide better results. I will update this review later, once I have experimented with a few recipes, cooking times, etc.

We were really excited when Buzzagent chose us to try the Chefman Waffle Maker because our family is really big on waffles! Now, people can be pretty picky about their waffles. Some people like soft waffles, some like their waffles more on the crispy side, then there’s people like myself who have to make things REALLY complicated by preferring theirs soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right amount of crisp to the outside.

I think that’s probably my favorite feature of the Chefman Waffle Maker. it has six settings to choose from so that you can cook them to the exact consistency that you prefer. Chefman included a fancy little measuring cup that can hang onto the side of the bowl which makes filling and pouring the mix super convenient.

Another really cool feature of The Chefman Waffle Maker is the overflow chamber. As long as you are careful to avoid filling the included measuring cup past the fill line, the mix will not overflow when you close the waffle maker.

This is a great addition to an already impressive product as cleaning up that sticky waffle mix is one of my LEAST favorite parts of making waffles! It took about five minutes to heat all the way up but once it did, I was pumping out waffles in no time! The quick cook time was awesome and a real time saver, especially when cooking for a family of five! The non-stick coating made cleanup a breeze and eliminated the irritation of having to scrape the waffles or waffle remnants off the maker as I’ve had to do with other models.

Overall, this is a really well made, sturdy product that Chefman put a lot of thought into. I really love mine and could never go back to my old waffle maker!.

Picked this up from the store today and brought it home to try out. I made my batter and used the cup and recommended amount for thin batter. After pouring the batter and closing the lid for the first waffle, some of the batter leaked out the side.

For the second waffle, the same thing happened. So much for spill proof sides. The waffles cooked pretty fast on the “3rd” cooking setting and they were tasty. Perhaps I’ll use slightly less batter and hope for the best.

But for only 14. 99 for the sale price I paid, I’ll keep it and keep experimenting with how much batter to add.

This worked ok. At first try it was way too hot, & cone burned, which is ok because you have to figure the temperature out with a few trials, but the unit itself got a little cooked! Plastic outer casing turned brownish because of the heat.

Also hard to clean the outside. Oil collected in the back where the hinges are and I needed a q-tip to remove it. Cone form is plastic & very slippery, so it was difficult to wrap the hot cone.

Stay away from this machine it doesn’t even have a brand or doesn’t come with any instructions, I couldn’t even find a webite to try and get a recipe. The waffle cones were to thin and burn on spots.

Wish I had read some reviews before buying this one. Pros: it did power onCons: doesn’t heat evenly, no instructions, just says made in china, no brand to it.

We ordered 3 of these to replace 3 old Gold Medal ones (which we bought here along with most of the equipment in our shop) that were falling apart. All 3 cooked very inconsistent, and by inconsistent I mean burnt on one side, raw one the other.

They also lack any sort of latch of any type to maintain a consistent thickness. This is a problem with waffle cones. We even altered our old recipe, cook times, and temps to no avail. We wanted these to work! And to make it worse, after a few days of use, we can’t return them.

Customer service keeps saying they will get back to us and nothing. We even sent them videos (which they asked for) of the makers cooking (beyond) inconsistent. We are stuck with three brand new (w/boxes) machines that my small business cant use.

Other online stores would have took these back no questions and have them for the same price.

We have had this waffle cone maker for 5 months now. We make a large batch of waffle cones each day. However, we have gotten to the point where the non stick plates have lost their non stick and now all of our waffle cones stick which renders this maker useless.

We have followed the manufacturers suggestions for maintaining the non stick, but it didn’t seem to help. Also, the top “lid” is very wobble and doesn’t latch to anything, so if you’re not careful, cones with come out uneven.

As time went on with the waffle maker, it would sometimes cook unevenly. One side would be perfect, but the other side would be a little darker. All in all, for the price I think this is a good option for casual cone making.

If you are planning on using this as your primary maker and making a lot of cones, I would suggest upgrading to something nicer.

We have had several of these units. When they are working, we have been perfectly happy with them. However, after about 3-6 months (on every unit we have had), one side of the maker stops heating. We purchased our last unit in February and one side is already not working.

We have tried to figure out if it is something we are doing or if the units are just not as described but we have not had any real luck. If you are only making a handful of waffles at a time and very low volume, this is probably a fine choice.

We are a coffee company and do between 30-60 waffles in a 7 hour period and have had quite a bit of issues. Again, when they are heating up, the waffles come out great. Just a bummer to spend money every 6 months on new ones.

Love this Waffle Cone Maker! Have been making Keto Waffle Cones and this works really good for them too! Takes a couple of them to get onto the knack of forming the cone on the shaper.

Works fine so far! I have been testing it during a market for selling poffertjes (machine running for more than 5 hours a day, 10days in a row) – the temperature was still stable and the dough didnt stick.

This is a really good waffle maker for the price. It has a great non-stick surface so what you cook doesn’t stick and it cleans up easy. I have tried hash brown potatoes and cheese crisps as well as waffles and all turn out good.

I has lights to tell you when it’s heating up and when it has heated up enough to add the waffle batter. The temp control is a little rough since the heating element is all on or off, but it has a decent adjustment.

Overall good for the price.

This appliance is awesome. I modified the recipe, added 20% corn starch, portion powdered malted milk, 1 tsp baking powder to Krusteaz waffle mix. The first waffle was a little weird, difficult to judge batter consistency, but subsequent waffles came out perfect.

keeping waffles warm 200 F on open rack for about 5 minutes. All remaining waffles were allowed to come to room temp. them put into a plastic bag & frozen. Lightly toasted, delicious. Very filling, big fat waffles.

Purchased this as a gift. My wife loves making waffles at hotels that have the flip style waffle makers. I thought she can now make them at home, and our old waffle maker stopped working. She likes it, it makes descent sized waffles and easy to use.

I don’t really like that it’s kind of bulky and you can’t remove griddles for cleaning, but most you can’t. Not the easiest to clean, but as long as you spray non stick on it, it’s not to bad to clean.

Overall we are happy with it for the price we paid for it.

This item is extremely bulky after receiving it. I initiated to process return with the seller within 2 weeks of receiving the item. The seller kept on negotiating to not taking returns for full refunds.

I initially purchased coz it’s from Walmart, but I will not trust purchase from Walmart anymore.

I have already used it for an employee event and they were amazed. Hopefully, it will continue to be a hit at various events that I host. There is nothing to entice people like the smell of fresh baked waffle cones.

I just bought these irons a couple weeks ago. The first one I received had scratching on the nonstick coating. WebstaurantStore replaced without hesitation and the second unit works great. It heats fast and works well.

The only reason I gave a four star is because it’s kind of hard to clean and the built in timers aren’t very sturdy. They stick in place and don’t count down sometimes. Other then that it’s a good product.

Yes the unit is a little funky in regards to the heating element. The back left corner seems to cook faster than the rest of the cooking surface, HOWEVER, it is not much of a problem for us. As with anything, adapt and you can figure it out.

We take the waffle off just a few seconds early and always get a pretty good result. I would recommend the unit as it is priced much better than comparable units.
