20 Best Waffle Knit Shirts (2022 Updated)

This was my first Filson purchase after hearing about the brand. The size chart on AltitudeSports is incorrect, so I recommend checking out the official Filson website for an accurate size chart. I am 6’0 165 lbs with an athletic build.

I normally wear a size medium, but the Small size of this shirt fits me perfectly, with plenty of room to layer a bit underneath. I will be purchasing more colours in the future. Shipping was fast and easy.

Nice weight and texture to the shirt. Overall cut is weird. I purchased both Navy and Moss green. Width of the shirt is perfect, however I will echo the comments that this shirt could be tad longer. It it were longer, I would have given this shirt 5 stars.

Because of that, would not purchase this product again.

I bought the navy and it’s more of a faded black. Still looks sharp. I am normally closer to an XL but I went with the large based on other reviews and it fits well. Sturdy material, as you’d expect from Filson.

Doesn’t sit real close to your body which I like. I’d give it five stars if it were a bit longer at the waist. Sleeves are long enough. Would buy again.

Both my husband and I have been enjoying our Jockey long sleeve waffle crew thermal tops for men and women. They feel comfortable and smooth. This is our first time we have wore this type of tops. I wash in cold water and sort of dry in air and hang them to finish drying and they look very nice.

A very important thing for me specially is that when I pull the sleeve up mid arm to cook or rinse dishes the cuff of the sleeve doesn’t get bigger. When I bring it down to the wrist it stays perfect.

We are very pleased and enjoy wearing our tops.

I’ve worn Jockey for years and always enjoyed their quality—everything from the obvious like underwear, but also much of their athletic and lounge wear. The performance V-neck shirt I wear year round from summer to cold winters as a base layer under a thermal henley.

It was with great surprise then the number of times I’ve had to return these supposed “tall man henley. ” At 6’4” with a narrow build the regular medium henley fits good for casual use, but at some point during the cold midwest winter I will wish for something longer.

I was excited then when Jockey expanded their normally minuscule “tall” options; however, the sizing is really complete chance. Some of the MT have obvious additionally length in the arms and especially waist.

But about half or more fit just like the same regular length henley I already have. One MT even fit like an XL. I get that clothes these days are mass produced. Of course, Jockey return policy is second to none, but at some point I’d like to stop waisting my time and your money with these seemingly endless returns.

I bought 2 of these in a men’s 2XL for my husband. I generally try to find thermals with tails, or even purchase tall shirts for him, although he is about 5’ 11”. He prefers the length for good coverage in the back, and it seems that the tall shirts are a bit too long, even if they shrink after washing.

The XL’s weren’t long enough. He’s happy with the way these fit mostly because of the weight – he can wear them as a regular shirt, or as a thermal. They are well made and did not shrink after laundering.

They do not have a “tail” for coverage in the back, so that’s something to keep in mind. The fabric softened a little after washing. The colors were exactly as pictured, and the fabric is a fairly fine waffle weave.

These thermals are a little better quality than I have been able to find in local stores and he has already worn both of them a few times, so I might purchase more in other colors if they still have 2XL.

Cut and fit of garment is fantastic, one of the best available anywhere. Fabric is alright, weave could be more durable, and thicker for more warmth, but major flaw is that the sleeve cuff fabric type has totally inappropriate weave, it has absolutely no stretch and is virtually impossible to roll sleeves up past wrists, even in larger sizes which I tried.

Garment still recommended and hopefully designer will fix this. Important because customers will be attracted to brand through clothing and then purchase the footwear, which I will certainly be doing.

I have boots boots and a leather overnight bag from Tecovas and have been extremely please with my purchase. My wife bought me two “Waffle Henley” shirts for Christmas. The quality was poor and they shrunk at the first washing.

At $54 each, these were very disappointing. I then bought a couple from LL Bean and all is good. Not sure why a company with such high quality like Tecovas would sell this type of shirt?.

Really nice quality, love the deeper waffle pattern that isn’t seen fron other brands, the fit I feel could be longer in the body though. If you go up a size it gets really wide so it’s definitely a matter of needing a longer shirt for optimal fit as any T-shirt you wear under it is going to hang out.

Length goes just to the belt so lifting your arms pulls it up clear over your belly button.

This is a good quality thermal that runs a little large. I do believe that it will shrink for a better fit. I bought a medium, it runs big so my husband will use for workouts to start. Would purchase again a size smaller.

Washes really nice and didn’t lose its shape.

Bought this for my husband who typically prefers XXL or XXXL. He is approx 6ft tall and 280lbs. The shirt fit very well and was soft to the touch. I went outside of his comfort zone and bought him this shirt color (although he prefers darker color shirts) and the shirt color didn’t disappoint.

The aqua blue color is true to picture and looks good on every skin-tone. Only down side is that it took a long time to arrive.

I got this for my husband—not only is it very well made, but my husband says the knit isextremely comfortable. What I love about it is that it seems to square up his shoulders, makes him look really good.

Good length. They were right to suggest order a size down; his is M and he usually wears a large.

I’m very pleased with this Waffle knit thermal shirt. The fit is accurate and the construction is great. These thermal shirts really do keep you warm in fact in the house it’s a bit too warm unless you keep your home cool.

I bought three colors and I’m glad I did because they are great. The price is excellent as well. If you like waffle knit thermal wear I recommend these.

They looked nice right out of the package, I looked them over and saw nothing wrong with them. Before wearing them, I washed them first and after one washing (which I followed all guidelines for washing) the stitching came out of one of them at the shoulder, now there is a hole.

So, I question the quality. Based on this first experience I wouldn’t pay $19. 99 for one. I rated a 3 as to be rather neutral on the product.

My husband loves it. He’s in his 70s and would never buy this kind of shirt. I am certain that I will have to get another for him in the other colors. Gonna do this today or tomorrow. sorry, next time I will take a photo, he is SLEEPING IN IT UNDER THE COVERS!.

I really love these thermals – have not had any issues with the length, and the quality / colors are great. However, every single color ordered in Tall XXL really has a very strong chemical smell that takes multiple washes to remove.

Wishing ON would stop using chemicals like this for their clothing. Be aware if you have asthma or chemical allergies, this is a challenging product until the chemicals wash out. All colors have the same issue even though ordered at different times and being delivered in the storage plastic bag.

I got this shirt in the pink. It is a pretty color. This shirt is soft, loose fitting and comfortable, however, it is very casual looking kinda like jammies. I purchased this in my usual size of XL in store.

I think this is going to be a good winter shirt. It has been too warm here to wear the past week or so.

I love this shirt so much I bought three of them. A petite medium is a perfect fit for me. I especially love the fact that it hangs just below my waist. Usually shirts are way too long. I have bought several shirts from Old Navy and have loved them all.

I have not tried to wash them yet.

The shirt by Ralph Lauren was a great fit as I wore it for a holiday party. The shirt was a beautiful shade of Red! The color red symbolizes love, emotion, and passion. This is fitting as it was worn on Christmas Eve.

Many compliments received and I’d recommend Ralph Lauren products.

I was looking for a long sleeve shirt that would be suitable to wear during a change in seasons. For example, I wanted something that I could wear in the early fall when the temperature might be cooler in the morning, but warm up a bit by afternoon.

This shirt is perfect for that! It’s long sleeve and warm enough to keep me from freezing in the office. Yet it isn’t so thick that I’m burning up by late afternoon. And it’s ultra-soft and feels and looks great on me (so says my wife).

I really like the embroidered Polo logo on the chest, too. All in all a great shirt. I might even get a couple more in other colors.

My husband likes this Polo waffle weave shirt. It looks very good on him with a more trim, fitted look than I often see in this style of crew neck shirt. The Polo logo is on the left upper chest. My husbands arms are long so I’m glad to say the sleeves on this shirt come down below his wrist bone.

He has enjoyed wearing the shirt and is looking forward to dressing it up a little with a sport coat. This garment has been through the washer and dryer several times with no fading of the color and no wrinkling from the dryer.

I do make sure to remove it promptly, though.

Nice, soft, well made waffle shirts. They do shrink up. The white is larger than the black. The large white was quite a baggy fit whereas the large black fit perfectly. But the white shrunk up nicely in the dryer (so I will not dry the black).

I was excited when I finally received this item of clothing. I was even more excited when I tried it on and found that the sleeves and garment as a whole were long, especially since I’m the tall and athletic type.

However, after putting it through the wash following the care instructions this garment had shrunk so significantly I was unable to wear it even once. To be clear, I washed it on the delicate cycle using cold water and tumble dried at low heat.

It’s unfortunate I was unable to ever wear this item because it looked great. My advice to anyone considering purchasing this item would be to go up a size or two in anticipation of this item shrinking after washing.

Unboxing the waffle-knit crew, I was instantly aware of its weight. It felt very substantial. Putting it on, I found it to be a perfect balance of warmth, flexibility, and fit. It’s not tight, nor is it baggy.

I’m 6′, 170lbs with an athletic build, and the medium feels excellent. I wore it on its own and it was ideal for maintaining my core temp, but also fit nicely beneath a button-down without feeling bulky.

I can’t wait to get the other colors. These shirts are going to get me through the next five months!.

I love my joggers and have them in several colors and recommend them to everyone. However, I’m afraid to try your short sleeve and long sleeve T-shirts. They look way too short. I don’t want to show skin every time I bend over.

They almost look like crops.

I love this. It’s just too oversized. If I had purchased the size down, it would have been too short. This shirt washed beautifully.

I have ordered a few of these V-neck Henleys from Loft over time. Love them. I have different colors in different fabrics. This is the first waffle fabric I have ordered. Love it. I wanted something that could take me through Spring and this is it.

The waffle fabric is a bit lighter than the ribbed I last bought. And I ordered it in the Welkin Blue. Beautiful. At 5’4” and 140 lbs. , I usually order a Regular Medium. I love the easy fit. This time I decided to try a Petite Medium to get a shorter, tighter fit.

Love this one, too.

I order this in Berry, and I absolutely love the texture and color. However, the top is extremely big. I got XS and it is bigger than some of my tops in size Large. I guess this brand’s sizing is just on the bigger size.

I will make note for the future. :).

Fits true to size, but for bustier women I feel it makes your boobs look weird with how this shirt is made. I am a size 2 and 34C. I have had this shirt for weeks and yet to wear it. I probably should have returned it, but am stuck with it now.

Maybe for smaller breasted women it would look more flattering. Not for me. Also, I bought white like in the picture, but the shirt is a darker white closer to beige.

I bought two this shirt for my husband to wear mostly when he works outdoors. He said it is really comfortable and keeps his warm. It holds up really well after washing and drying. Really holds its shape.

Such a soft and cozy sweater! I love the waffle texture and the neutral color! It’s a great transition piece from Summer to Fall because it’s a lighter weight but warm and cozy! I paired it with dark wash denim shorts and a fluffy pink scarf on a cooler day.

I love the loose, flowy, oversized fit with the fitted band at the bottom and sleeves so it doesn’t just look like it’s too big. Very pleased with my purchase!!.

It is cute, lightweight, and perfect for fall. I typically wear a small/medium. I got a small and it fits great. It is oversized.

I’m an athletic built, 4 months postpartum from my second child and this top is perfect. It’s so soft to snuggle the kids, not very thick, but very warm. Looks great with jeans and with sweats. Breastfeeding friendly which I love.

I usually size down with super loose tops and that works best for me. Usually sleeve can be short on me however these are perfect. This too has a generous amount of stretch as well so I can push my sleeves up my arms when I need to.

Absolutely love how soft and cozy. Runs quite large. Went down two sizes and still have room. Typically wear size L in Old Navy tops, size 38D bust and I had to go down to a S. It is still loose around.

Usually order tall length, when I reordered smaller size I stuck with a regular length instead. I bought in both pink and gray. Would have orded white as well if it were still available. Highly suggest!.
