20 Best Wahl Dog Clippers (2022 Updated)

I bought this clipper about 4 years ago for my shih tzu mix. He still had puppy hair so it worked okay. It did leave the hair very choppy though. After my pup grew and shed his puppy hair, the clippers didn’t even want to go through his thick hair.

I guess the blades aren’t sharp enough or the clippers dont clip fast enough. It also overheats!! Dont waste your money. I bought a wahl 5 style groom instead. It’s so much better. It doesn’t leave his fur choppy, and it works on my new wavy/curly haired dogs too!.

We just bought this a few days ago. We had to trim down our sheepadoodle, who is a pretty big guy. Unfortunately, not even a quarter way, these clipper started to heat up and got so hot that I could not hold it correctly.

We had to take multiple breaks to let it cool down enough to continue. My dog loves to be trimmed and would have loved it even more if we did not have to take so many breaks and start all over again.

Bless his heart he was patient with us. If this product didn’t heat up so much or at all, it would be a good product.

During COVID, I was grooming my Pomeranian with a WAHL clipper meant for humans. The cut was choppy and required me to go over his coat several times. We finally got a TSC in our town and I bought this today.

The kit is nearly identical but for the fact that the clipper mechanism itself is much heavier to hold, louder, and has a more durable cord. Functionally, it cuts exactly the same. They charge you more than double the price and it doesn’t cut any smoother or nicer than the version for humans.

Plus, it’s so loud that my dog was panicked and fearful, which did not happen with the human clippers. This is a total waste of money. Buy the human version (or not WAHL)- it’s cheaper, lighter, quieter.

You don’t need the stupid gimmicky apron for the extra $30. Scam.

This is not the same quality Arco Wahl clipper that they made in the past. They are no longer made in Germany. This clipper is made in Hungary. The charger base is cheaper made…& batteries did not last very long.

Not sure if the battery quality is poor or if the cheap charging base ruined both batteries. I have an older Arco cordless and charging base from early 2000 made in Germany that is still working and going strong.

It has outlasted this one (which after a year -when the warranty runs out by the way!) by far! A little over a year and with limited use both batteries were no longer charging to last more than a minute to three minutes at the most.

The clipper is an awesome cordless clipper but is of zero use without battery power to support it. I’ll include my OLD charger that is still charging my batteries like a new charger…& the crappy charger that now comes in this kit…& apparently ruins batteries?? Or the batteries are cheap.

Just be aware. (Pink is the new one-notice cord).

I am not a pro groomer so I can’t speak to this item’s use day in and day out but as a home groomer for a cocker spaniel and a yorkie, this quiet and efficient shaver/trimmer gets a+++ from both dogs.

The fact that it adapts to shave or trim quite easily using the same blade is great. The head is large enough to make clipping quick but still get into tight spots. The blade is sharp so that there is no pulling and so that it can be used to clip through mats (gently please) without giving a razor burn or pinch.

I see that it recommends to stop occasionally to allow the head to cool but I have never experienced it to heat up (i guess we take enough repositioning and rest breaks to keep it from overheating. ).

Additional “5 in 1” blades are readily available and reasonably priced. The blades really don’t wear out quickly if you clean and oil the shaver as directed after each use. Cleaning is a breeze (unlike with fixed blade shavers) and so it only takes a minute, literally, to completely clean both the shaver and blade assembly and oil the bade assembly.

The blade easily and quickly slips/clicks on and off the shaver. The shaver gets about 90 minutes of life out of the battery during normal use and the batteries recharge in less time than stated in directions so it’s nearly impossible to run out of battery between the two that come with the instrument.

as they start to age, of course, this may change. The shaver is so quiet that grooming is not the trauma it used to be with cheaper shavers. I always had a fight trimming around the face and between pads and the efficiency and stealth of this has all but eliminated the issue.

It is easy to hold and the round body facilitates holding it to achieve any angle of attack. It is light enough not to be awkward but has weight distributed well to handle comfortably. In other words, its a great fit for home groomers and the efficiency and noiseless operation reduce the pet’s stress.

To begin with; I am not a professional groomer, but I am not a beginner. I have groomed my high-strung little guy for years. I have trusted Wahl for human and animal products. I have owned these for approximately a year and used them 4 or 5 times.

They are completely useless at this point. The main issue is the housing where you slide the battery in is not tight enough. They have never been dropped, but by the vibration, the seams have loosened so when the clipper is turned the battery will lose contact and it slows to a crawl.

When it did work decently (1st two cuts) it took both batteries to finish. Just a garbage product, and not cheap. I broke down and bought a cheap clipper online, China made and it cut beautifully and only used 15% of the batter life for the same job.

I try to buy from American companies but this was an awful experience. I should have just set $125 on fire on my lawn, same thing.

We purchased the corded version of these clippers, with a bit of apprehension about how they would work, as well as our own grooming abilities. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy they were to use and that they handled very well.

They easily and cleanly cut through the thicker coat of our pet. First time using the clippers, but we can see where, with not much more practice, we can perfect the cuts and save a lot on professional grooming (while still achieving a nice cut)! It did help to watch YouTube videos to see how grooming was done by professionals, plus we’re fortunate to have a cooperative pet.

Would definitely recommend these clippers.

I’ve been grooming my long-haired dog (Australian shepherd/golden/lab mix) at home for a few years now. This clippers gets the job done, however I wish it had more guides. The ones it comes with work okay, but despite having plenty of practice in trimming my dog, I feel like it still comes out choppy at times or cuts unevenly.

The adjustable lever on the side comes loose pretty frequently as well, and it makes a horrible rattling noise while the clippers is going. It scares my dog and so I’m constantly having to retighten the screw.

We purchased this for our plush coat shepherd who needed her bloomers groomed badly. She hates being brushed and had layer and layer of thick hot undercoat. The clippers were very efficient in removing all the hair and we could tell our Lexi felt much better (and cooler) after she was “cleaned up”.

I must admit I was a bit intimidated as I’ve never used clippers on a dog, but the guard allowed me to get the desired result, and gave me confidence within a couple minutes. The various attachments allow for flexibility also.

I couldn’t believe how fast I was done. The clipper feels sturdy and well made. It is a nice kit and I’m pleased with the purchase. The only dumb thing I did in preparing to use it for the first time was; when applying the oil to the blade as it tells you to do (this will make you giggle.

as I said, I’ve never used clippers before) I was following the instructions that say to “OIL for maximum efficiency. Place one or two drops of oil on blades while clipper running” well, I did that but tried to help the oil along by using the little brush provided thinking it would help spread the oil with the clipper running.

yeah, you can guess. it started chewing up the little bristle brush. Oops, LOL. So don’t do as I did. Leave the brush in the kit till you’re done and ready to clean it, oh, and turn it off : )) Duh!! Other than that little faux pas, all was well.

I’d say it was a good investment.

Loved this pet clipper kit! I charged this up as soon as it arrived, and the next day I clipped my dog for her in-between grooming appointment. It came in a sturdy plastic box, had an instructional CD, clipping scissors, lubricating blade oil, a comb, and many different sizes of plastic blades.

It was on sale at a terrific price, and shipping was free! So glad I purchased this clipper! The benefit of this rechargeable is that I can give my dog a trim wherever she is — in “her” chair, on the floor, outside, etc! There is no electrical cord limiting what room I groom her, based on where there is a hard-to-get-to plug-in! :).

I was surprised to discover that this rechargeable clipper is significantly more powerful than my seven-year-old corded Wahl Contour clipper. The resulting trim is much quicker and with a noticeably smoother appearance.

In addition, the advertised run time of two hours is probably accurate, based on my first use of an hour and 45 minutes with many brief interruptions of turning the clipper off. It is really a luxury to groom a dog without having to hassle with the power cord getting in the way.

The only significant shortcoming to the clipper is the clumsy on-off switch, which several other reviewers have noted. Instead of a smooth operating slide switch, such as on my old clipper, this model has a rubber switch that requires an overly firm press exactly in the middle.

Hopefully I’ll get used to it, but it was a significant hassle during my first use of the clipper. Based on using the clipper only one time, I would not hesitate on buying it again.

I have a 50-lb Australian shepherd whose got a lot of junk in the trunk–mats, leaves, stickers, waste. It was time to stop paying the groomer over $50 each time and mess up my dog’s grooming myself.

I got this clipper set to help me achieve that. DVD – the info in it didn’t really pertain to me. It was definitely directed towards owners with poodles, cocker spaniels, shih-tzus, and other similarly haired dogs.

If I had one of these dogs, I didn’t think the instructions were very helpful. I learned how to hold the scissors. That’s about it. Comb – SUPER flimsy. I think it would snap easily even when used on a short-medium coat.

I didn’t use it much on my Aussie. Guards – I didn’t buzz off my dog’s fur, so I can’t say how good the longer guards are. The shortest one for grooming feet seemed fine though. Scissors – GREAT! No complaints here.

Clipper – battery lasts a good long while! We’ll see how they stand the test of time. Also, I’m not sure how to maintain the clippers. No instructions for that were included.

I used these clippers for the first time today. They were quiet enough not to startle my puppy. Today was my first try at any type of home grooming. I was surprised how easy it was to “tip” my dogs ears with these clippers.

I was afraid of “nicking” her, but I didn’t. They worked quickly and smoothly. It was so easy (other than keeping the puppy still), that I will not procrastinate next time, and plan on doing her ears monthly.

I also used them for a quick sanitary trim of her bum and the hair around her potty place. The small size made the sanitary trim easy. Next week I’m going to do the pads on her feet. I recommend these small, quiet clippers for any at home grooming needs.

Wanted to love this little trimmer so bad! It works perfectly for feet, clean face trim, sanitary areas and is so quiet on top of that. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver and clips efficiently. however, sometimes it just doesn’t wanna turn on when it isn’t properly cleaned.

This little tool requires cleaning after every grooming use, I had to buy a separate screwdriver in order to take it apart and clean out the inside after each use. Even if the slightest of hair gets inside under the blade mine will not turn back on.

My most recent issue with it (after owning for roughly a year) is that it no longer holds a charge. The base seems to not want to charge it anymore, I tried cleaning the base, resetting the wire and nothing helps.

The clipper will stay charged for a good 5-10 minutes. I’m super bummed, it is pretty expensive and thought I could get more use out of it, especially since I don’t use it for heavy areas on my toy poodle.

was recommended at a Show. It felt good in my hand, and was perfect for my toy poodle trim of face and feet. or so I thought. First, it won’t charge after a month. Secondly, skips hair and won’t give a smooth cut for faces or feet.

If try and cut close by pressing it gives burns. I really wanted to like this clipper. Good news is, sent it back and they sent me a new one. Now the replacement stop working so it is going back too.

Great customer service though.

I have a 20-ish pound miniature schnauzer mix who has a mixture of shorter fur and long flyaway fur. I initially bought the Wahl U-Clip for grooming my dog and it works well, but the fact that I had to keep it plugged in, how heavy it was, and the width of it made it a little cumbersome at times.

I tried buying this to use primarily on her paws/face area, but I’ve found I like using it all over her. I bought this around July, and I might have charged it when I first got it, but I’ve never charged it since.

And I’ve been able to do trims on her numerous times. It’s pretty quiet, light enough that it doesn’t strain my wrist (I have somewhat weak wrists), and I like that it gives 2 guards that have 4 levels on them so all you have to do is flip it to the size you want.

It’s nice not having 4 different guards when 2 suffices. The only issue I’ve had is I want to figure out if I can get even more guards to do different lengths for different areas of my dog, or maybe different blade lengths that could screw in? Not because what they provided is insufficient, but because now I think it’s fun to groom her so I kind of want to branch out even more.

And since my newest relaxation is watching endless hours of dog grooming sessions on YouTube, I’ve started wondering what the equivalent is to their 30 blade, 20 blade, 10 blade, etc, to what we get with the Wahl Mini Arco.

I haven’t figured out the best way to trim in between her paw pads or her sanitary area properly without skipping the guards but I get really nervous about skipping the guards so I’m super careful or just leave it longer than strictly necessary.

I will get it figured out eventually. So far I’ve had zero problems. My biggest issue was I found it too fun and easy to trim her and accidentally selected too short of a guard and I think I cut her fur shorter than I should have for her type of coat.

This was only a problem because her temperature fluctuated a little more than normal; there was no problem whatsoever with the trimmer itself. She has never been hurt by it and in fact, in a weird turn of events, my dog actually loves getting groomed and will lay down letting me randomly groom her whenever I want.

So that was a user error of me being ignorant of coat types, not an issue with the trimmer. I mention only for others to keep that in mind to look up best grooming practices for their dog if, like me, they’d never groomed their dog in their life prior to 2020.

As my last testament to why I love this – I was primarily using this instead of the U-Clip most of this summer, and I had to bring my dog into the vet a couple of times. Even when I did my crappiest job (cutting it shorter in patches than I should have because I didn’t realize the guard looked longer than it was to my amateur eyes), I had brought her in and the vet tech commented on how good she looked.

I said I groomed her myself and figured it was really obvious and she said no way, it looked really good and way better than most of the self-grooms she’d seen coming in. Part of this is thanks to my dog’s coat and coloring which makes mistakes a little less obvious, and I’m sure is part is also thanks to me watching hours and hours of dog grooming and picking up some tips from that – but I really think a large part is also that this trimmer works super well, and so even in really amateur hands it gave a good result.

ymmv, but fwiw I love this thing. I rarely leave reviews on sites but I like this trimmer enough that I had to wax poetic about it for awhile.

I’m a vet tech in a very busy clinic that sees cats and dogs. We have multiple pairs of cordless clippers but ever since we got these clippers from a rep and I tried them, they became my go to! They’re quiet (great for fractious or nervous pets), gentle, and quick.

I’ve used them for a quick potty patch, shaved for IV catheters and surgical sites, etc. We got these for free from a rep and when I accidentally broke them, we loved them so much we bought our own!.

All 3 of our dogs grow a ton of hair between their pads. They hate getting their feet done. Worse, my 3rd is a toy poodle and our regular clippers are just too big to clean up between her pads. Then I got this.

Wow what a wonderful purchase. All 3 of my dogs have had their feet trimmed and are able to take winter walks without getting clumps of ice frozen to hair that’s between their pads. Best purchase I’ve made in a while.

One of my cats has very fine fur that tangles and mats easily even with regular brushing. We’ve tried many different clippers and it seemed like they couldn’t ever get through her fur. The one clipper that made it through her fur would get clogged on every pass.

This is the first clipper I’ve owned that goes all the way through her fur without clogging! It cuts so well that it doesn’t feel like I’m cutting anything at all. It’s fairly quiet, so I’m able to get neck and chin mats out quickly without much stress.

It doesn’t seem to heat up very quickly either. I was able to shave half of her body in a fraction of the time it normally takes, leaving both of us much happier. I highly recommend this set!!.

I use to have the older pair of wahl pet clippers. When I used them and I was hooked. They were the best, smooth cutting clippers. Cheap and very effective. They lasted for about 3 years with regular cat clippings.

Once they went bad I bought the newest they had. I opted for the cordless. They worked really well but after a year they went bad. I bought another pair cordless and they were junk. I returned them and opted for a corded pair.

JUNK. I was thinking maybe it was just the store I was purchasing them from. I went to a different store and bought another cordless pair… junk. I said I’ll try one more time. This time I bought the corded pair and guess what? JUNK.

These things will not cut melted butter. I don’t know what happened to wahl but I’m done with them. They are junk, junk, JUNK! Now I have a cat that looks like it has a schnauzer cut. I’m beyond frustrated with Wahl! Don’t waste your gas money.

Trust me you will have to return them.

I am a fursuit maker and I bought these clippers because I heard Wahl was a good brand of clippers. I needed them to shave fur to finish paws, heads, ect. when I started to shave, the fur would easily get caught in the clippers.

I thought “Okay, I guess I’ll have to go really slow”. Even when I did, it barely cut any fur! It Took almost two hours to get the fur to the length I wanted. It also got really hot not to long after using it.

I had to give it three brakes to cool down, for fear it would burn out and break. Would not recommend. Bad for fursuit making, DO NOT BUY.

This electric clipper weighs over a pound, which is considerable weight for a clipper. The cord is huge–almost as large as the super-powered Vitamix blender. Completely unnecessary to have it so large and makes it difficult to navigate around my dog.

The plastic case it comes in has a clasp that is fidgety and has sharp edges. Thanks to the enormously thick cord, items will only fit in that case one way. All in all, a terrible purchase.

I had a Wahl Arco that broke after it dropped. I decided to order this as a replacement after doing a lot of research. The quality of the Bravura does not seem to match that of the Arco (which was a cheaper price).

I had to dig around in the case to finally find the oil and brush (which I thought was missing). The brush is pretty substandard. Additionally, the clipper had little hairs on it, and the blade and plastic had nicks.

I would say the construction of the plastic is also substandard and not what you would expect for a clipper that is almost $200. I had an $80 Andis I bought years ago that I would rate higher. Not sure why this brand are so hot in the grooming market.

I got these about 6 months ago when our standard poodle was about 6 months old. After doing research these seemed like the best, and it was time to splurge on good clippers. Fast forward to now- They literally just don’t cut it.

Even with careful maintenance, the blade barely cuts hair, pulls the hair, and can’t be taken apart to properly clean or sharpen. It worked well for 2 puppy cuts, and by 4 it was just causing more annoyance for me and my dog.

Had my groomer friend take a look and she was very unimpressed. The battery seems fine, but the clippers are now worthless. I could try a new blade, or I’ll just get a better set up with multiple blades and the ability to FULLY clean and sharpen.

Used on cat. Started by setting clippers on floor and letting them run so cat got more used to noise. Did this several days. Then trimmed a little. Took three days to do back and sides (all I dare do) the first time.

He was not so much scared of noise by then, but did not like vibration when touched. He got more used to it all as he was trimmed more and I did most of sides and back in one attempt the second time I trimmed him.

Fur looked like child had taken scissors to it when I used the guide comb attachments, so finally used without those and looked smoother. I have a second cat I would not dare trim with these as he is very noise averse.

Both are long-haired.

I realize I have a problem pet when it comes to grooming (Labradoodle) but when this item didn’t work on the dog I tried it on the cat and it still didn’t work. The quality is fine, and it works well without the hair guards.

But if you don’t want to shave your pet bare, the groomer is almost useless. When I tried all the hair guards, the groomer didn’t cut any hair. So I followed the instructions (which were very poor and didn’t cover what I really needed to know) and cut the dog’s hair first with a scissors and then tried to finish it off with the clippers.

Still didn’t work. I finally compromised by taking off the guards, turning the clippers upside down, and swiping at the fur without going all the way to the hide. Pretty poor item. A good scissors does just as well, or buy a professional grooming kit.

I used these as soon as the set was delivered. I used to have to tranquilize my pet before taking him to the groomers; that’s why I wanted to give this item a try. As soon as I got them, I gave them a try.

The clippers were light-weight and quiet. My little dog wasn’t afraid and sat quietly while I clipped him, right down to his underside and toes! He thought he was being brushed out! I just saved myself over $70 a month on grooming charges.

he will let me clip his fur as it grows out and I won’t have to drug him up to do it. As I get more adept at clipping, no one will know that he is being clipped at home instead of at a shop. I have been hand-trimming him for several years anyway and now I can do the entire job myself.

Like many Wahl clipper , this is an efficient product. BUT!, i feel this machine heats up a little more than others i used before, and it could feel like it’s burning the hand a little, although the clipper still working properly with no fault.

Still i must tell that i have an adult schnauzer dog and clipping his hair after many months of hair growing took a long time and finishing was uncomfortable for my hand. I ended up gripping the clipper with the tip of my fingers to avoid the high heat of the body of the grip.

I absolutely love this! If you buy quality, such as this Wahl Quiet Electric Clippers, it pays off. (We had a battery operated clipper that wore out in 2 months. ) I have used this clipper twice since receiving it.

The results are so nice. A quality purchase as this Wahl clipper pays off for all parts can be replaced by Wahl which is a rare surprise.

It’s a good razor but it was too loud. I wasn’t able to finish grooming my dog because she was scared the whole time with how loud it was.

I got these for my boyfriend for Father’s Day love, the dog. The dog is a handsome 3-year old thick coated labradoodle. We had to buy some attachment combs to go with this, but on his most thick hair sections it was not as good as I researched and we were on the verge of returning them because it was like it was not even cutting his hair, but then my boyfriend realized their was a high speed as well! (I thought he knew!) That made a big difference, but still a struggle on the rump region.

This dog has some very thick and coarse hair and was long over-due for a trim, so we decided to keep them because they will work good enough if we keep up with his hair cuts.

Bought these for grooming our standard poodle, labradoodle, and goldendoodle. I’ve been grooming my own pups for over 30 years. I actually thought I was doing something wrong then my husband tried cutting his arm hair and he couldn’t even get them to cut through fine human hair.

Maybe these were defective, but ended up going with a completely different brand.

Purchased this for my Cockapoo! She looks like a baby gorilla. 2 other clippers couldn’t get through her curly hair. These did!!! I should have invested in these in the first place! Also, very quiet which was nice for our skittish dog.

For the money these are good quality clippers, I used them for clipping dogs and hogging my horse. They are very quiet and easy to use. The charge was good and lasted about an hour. They coped very well with slight grease and dirt in the coat.

The attachment combs were very strong too. Overall they’re not bad for the price. Very good for pet owners to use for tidying between grooming appointments, or for clipper shy horses.

2 dogs with too much hair + hot temperatures. The clippers transformed them into racing snakes and now very happy pooches. Very good quality clippers that work very well with no problems. Recommended.

The clippers are easy to use and during the entire cut didnt overheat. Such a transformation and so convenient to be able to do this at home. I would suggest if using for the first time to thoroughly read the excellent instructions.

The clippers arrived on time, not boxed just in a jiffy envelope but as i want to cut down on packaging waste this is not a problem. The unit looks quite smart and came with at least some charge, so it could be used straight away.

It cuts well on my short haired border terrier but not as well on the longer haired one, this may be my lack of experience as it does take some getting used to, my poor dogs are a little patchy at the moment but practise will make perfect.

I tried to fit the clipper guards as the limited instructions directed but because they took a lot of pressure to get in place i initially thought i must be doing it wrong. I wasnt so be warned you need to clip these in place with some force.

An improvement would be if the charge light changed when the unit is charged, it just stays on so you dont know how full a charge it has received so its down to timing and guess work. Overall pleased with the unit and the price is good value.

I like how there are multiple attachments so the length of the fur that you cut is customisable. At first, I did struggle to clip them on and off, but eventually got the hang of it. It makes a loud-ish sound that my long-hair cat didn’t like.

As he got used to it, he followed it with his nose as I swiped it over him – this was his coping mechanism! The cleaning attachment is good. It cleanly cuts the fur and I was able to successfully groom my cat.

I have bought several sets of dog clippers in the past,but they never worked properly. These were brilliant. When the plastic length guides are fitted to the clippers. The clippers STILL cut the dogs hair.

That’s a novelty ! Only “small” fault I have is, I could have done with a slightly longer guide. So my dogs can have a slightly longer coat.

I had been searching for this clipper for awhile on all platforms. There was not a KM 10 anywhere. Then out of the blue Chewy had one so I rushed to buy it. Unfortunately the clipper I was sent was obviously a return and was not working.

I was very disappointed as I have been purchasing all my pet needs for 7 years and I haven’t been disappointed with the service they provide. I called customer service and told them of my experience.

They told me to send it back and they would send a new one immediately. The new clipper came in 2 days. I opened it immediately to check the new clipper out and to make sure the blade release was functioning.

It was perfect! I did notice that the original clipper I was sent was an older model. The new model is slightly different in its detailing. Anyway, I used it today on my cockapoo and it worked like a dream making the grooming experience a pleasure for me and my dog.

I have 5 Schnauzers and have been grooming my own dogs for many years. I had a WAHL years ago and was disappointed, and since then only ANDIS, (many) including professional and rechargeable. Unfortunately, I have been really disappointed with ANDIS quality over past few years.

So I decided to try WAHL again. I read lots of reviews all over the internet, and these seemed a good pick. I did not expect these clippers to be so incredibly lightweight AND quiet, and they stay remarkably cool, probably owing to being brushless.

And the cut is far superior to other clippers I’ve owned. I bought a second! Very happy. Dogs happier too.

I have three Chows and one that seems to be allergic to everything. He would dig at himself until he had sores and bald spots. We tried different medications with the veterinarian and nothing seemed to last for long.

Vet recommended shaving him down to control the matting and sores from digging at himself. These clippers cut through the mats and thick hair very smoothly and remained cool enough to finish him up in about an hour and a half’s time.

They left him looking nice and he didn’t mind having it done. They were quieter than expected also. All in all worth the extra cost and would highly recommend these to anyone.

I never review stuff online, but I came back 2 years after purchase to recommend this product, it’s only fair given how well it’s served me. I bought this 2 years ago in April 2020 as with lockdown we couldn’t get the the barber.

We’d never cut hair before, but this set is easy to use and quickly got the hang of it. 3 people in my family have been using it ever since, every roughly 4-6 weeks, I haven’t been to an actual barber since, even after lockdown finished! I’ve saved hundreds of dollars in haircuts now we can do them at home.

I was surprised given the price how well it’s lasted and how sturdy and quality it feels in the hand, all components still working as well as they did at the start. Highly recommended!.

REALLY PLEASED WITH THESE CLIPPERS. OUR WESTIE HAS A SOFT SILKY COAT BUT IT WAS GETTING VERY LONG IN LOCKDOWN, SO DECIDED TO GIVE IT A GO – LAST GROOM COST £38. WE WATCHED SOME YOUTUBE DOG GROOMING VIDEOS, IT TOOK A WHILE TO DO AND LUCKILY OUR DOG LOVES BEING PAMPERED BUT REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE RESULTS.

MUCH SHARPER THAN CHEAPER CLIPPERS I HAVE BOUGHT AND I WENT ON TO DO MY HUSBANDS AND 2 SON’S HAIR CUTS!!! COMES IN HANDY STORAGE BOX AND EASY TO USE COLOUR CODED ATTACHMENTS. OUR DOG IS OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION AND WAS COMPLETLY CHILLED HAVING IT DONE IN HER OWN HOME WITH PEOPLE SHE TRUSTS.

WILL NOT GO BACK TO EXPENSIVE GROOMERS AGAIN, THESE CLIPPERS HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR THEMSELVES – CAN’T COMMENT ON THEIR LONGEVITY YET AS ONLY JUST BOUGHT.

A brilliant piece of kit! Easy to use, the result is great. We are novice users but by starting witht the attachment which takes the least fur we have worked our way to the length we prefer our Cocker Spaniel now sports regular trims and never becomes stressed.

After purchasing several other inexpensive clippers to groom my 65 ppound German Shepard/Chow mix, I was just about to “break down” and spend $154. 00 for a set of professional clippers. Before ordering the clippers on-line from Chewy, I decided to run to Wal-Mart to see what they might have available in the store for immediate purchase.

There were 2 of the lithium rechargeable kits on the shelf. I figured at $60. 00 I would still be saving $30. 00 in grooming fees ($90. 00 each cut) & I like that these clippers are cordless/rechargeable.

Our sweet Molly is an outside pet that LOVES to play in dirt but HATES being bathed, so her thick hair grows fast & mattes easily. We’ve attempted to previously groom Molly, but were not equipped with the right tools.

I enlisted the help of my 17-year old twin sons & it took us about 45 minutes for a complete grooming. These clippers are AWESOME!! They literally cut through the matted hair like butter. There was no need to cut the hair down with scissors first, the clippers went straight through AND we didn’t have to re-charge.

We used them straight out of the box. You will not be disappointed. Glad I made the investment.

Dissatisfied. I’ve hardly been able to use it since I received it in 2013. I only shave my dog a couple times a year, so it took a year to finally give up on it and decide it was no good. Unfortunately, by then the seller had disappeared off eBay.

I did contact Wahl, but they did not respond. The problem I had with this trimmer is with the charge. I was never able to use it to complete a trimming on my 15-pound dog. It would stall out and need to be restarted.

(And it wasn’t because her hair was long, as I would trim her down with scissors first. ) I would have to keep the charging cord plugged into the wall outlet and trimmer, and the contact points with the trimmer were constantly missing.

So, because of the problems, I really never got to use it fully. I still would take it out when doing a grooming (only a couple times a year), and be hopeful, but it would always disappoint me. At this point, despite having hardly ever used it, it doesn’t recharge at all.

I have to jiggle it “just so” and the charge light would turn blue, and I’d hope it would stay engaged for a while, but it doesn’t charge. I contacted Wahl to let them know, but they did not respond.

I just replaced it with a nice Remington at a much better price. I would not purchase a Wahl product again. You will be disappointed if you buy this. My poor dog would be half-shaved and the product would die on us.

Since it was months in between shavings, found out too late that the product was substandard and could not make a return.

After brushing my maltipoo this does wonders! So easy to use and the sound of clippers don’t bother him at all! The clippers glide through without issues and he’s half poodle so he has thick curly fur.

Wow, I wish I would have found/ tried these clippers sooner! Would have saved me tons of money on groomers.
