18 Best Wainscoting For Bathroom (2022 Updated)

I bought so many of these for an accent wall and interior doors. They are light-weight, come already primed, and look like I spent hundreds of dollars. Such a nice touch of class these items add to whatever my project is.

Awesome product. Very sturdy and easy to install. Also looks very attractive in my garage, much better than those drab garage hooks you screw into your walls. I bought some standard sized slatwall accessory hooks as well as some ProSlat branded ones to see the difference.

I am happy to report that the standard accessories all fit (which is a big plus because there are literally hundreds of different kinds to choose from that should all work with this slat wall). I will say, however, the pro slat branded ones definitely are of higher quality.

I spent over $3000 covering my garage walls with these slats and they looked amazing. Friends came by to admire, my stuff was organized and more importantly, off the floor. However, after five months, the plastic started to warp.

Keep in mind, I screwed all the slats as instructed, on every stud, each 16″ apart. The bikes hanging on the wall started warping the plastic that the hook was hanging from. It wasn’t just the steel bike that was problematic, even my super light bike that even my six year old daughter can pick up was causing the plastic to warp.

The shelves that was holding 20 several snowboard boots warped the slates that they were hanging from. Shelves holding lighter items did not warp, but this is a garage, so I expect shelves to handle a reasonable amount of weight without problems.

I would not recommend this Proslats if you are looking to hold bikes, or moderately heavy items.

I do love what this wall can do and it’s been a great addition to our garage but I did found it incredibly time consuming to install and I found some of the parts really flimsy and not as tough as I’d like.

I used a old jig saw to cut out around my outlet and the jigsaw somehow scratched the face of this product. little disappointed considering how much this product costs.

Absolutely amazing slatwall for much much less than many other brands. Recycled materials, non toxic, incredibly simple to install, and very strong. Added an entirely new dimension to my garage storage!.

It was easy to install. The price is reasonable and it’s of great quality. We purchased several and put it in our garage. It’s a great way to organize and get stuff off the floor. Great buy!

It’s a nice piece however the trim on the sides was not long enough and I am also having a hard time finding the right sized accessories to fit this slatwall

Buyer beware! Do NOT waste your money. After less than a month these are falling off the wall. We did everything they said, bought their special tool, and my husband knows what he is doing (part time small contractor-I just thought these would be a quick shortcut).

We spent easily 4 times what we would have spent on real wood and now we are having to use construction grade glue to fix all the pieces that are falling off. Save yourself a TON of money and trouble and use real wood instead.

VERY disappointed in this product!!.

These are incredibly frustrating to work with. Although they look nice, they are not cut perfectly and so it is near impossible to get them to line up right. When putting two pieces together, although they are both perfectly level, there is still a gap in the seam.

After running into this issue several times (thinking we must be doing something wrong), we checked the right angles on the boards themselves and realized they were off by about 1/16”. Although that seems like an insignificant amount, it makes a huge difference.

I tried to attach photos here, but it won’t let me post it because they are “inappropriate” for some reason. If my bathroom wasn’t half finished right now, I would probably scrap the whole project. I was planning to do my kitchen island and backsplash next but at this point, I might have to find a less frustrating option.

The product arrived quickly and was exactly what I ordered. Peeling the paper and sticking to the wall is as simple as that. However, some of the boards did not stay stuck by themselves so I ended up using a nail gun.

Also, cutting the boards was a bit harder than just using a razor blade, definitely requires some type of saw. Beautiful boards that display like shiplap and add an extra little something to any room.

Love this product. Love that it’s real wood and not MDF. Contractor installed no problem. No issues with any of the pieces (I ordered 8 boxes). Perfect ship lap.

Very high quality look (they don’t look cheap or cheesy). The difference among the 3 colors (light, medium, dark) is exactly enough to provide the visual interest you want and the colors blend perfectly together, it’s pretty foolproof no matter how you arrange the different colors.

I had these professionally installed and it was a fast, easy job 1-day job for the 2-person crew. These have been up on my wall for about 3 years in a room with pretty constant temperature year-round (72 degrees) and low humidity.

Despite this, the adhesive backing on a few panels is giving out and the corners are raising slightly from the wall. I’m guessing this is because the crew who installed didn’t apply enough extra adhesive onto the wall to help the sticky backing on the panels last longer.

Good news is that additional adhesive can be reapplied if it wears out and the corners will stick firmly again (note: the panels did not warp, the corners just lifted up slightly). My advice: if you/your contractor correctly prepare the surface you’re applying these panels to as directed in the instructions, do not skimp on applying additional adhesive to help ensure long-term sticking.

They look amazing, but I feel they can stick to the wall a little better. I will have to add adhesive to prevent peeling off the wall.

These panels are exactly what they look like in photos, and I think they are beautiful… charred wood look.

Beautiful and easy to install but as soon as I took the planks out of the very well packaged box they began to cup. What I mean is they started to bend in a U shape. I do live near the ocean in San Diego and the humidity might have a lot to do with it.

I installed them as quick as possible and used nails and liquid nails. The first half of the install went great. By the time I got to the second half they were cupping. Now the second half doesn’t sit flush on the wall.

They are down low so it’s hard to notice but of course I notice. I’m just worried about how they will react when it’s more humid in the summer months.

I was afraid they would turn out to be more orange since red is very difficult to get a true color when looking online. Pleasantly surprised when they came & they are red! Not a dark red, just a medium red with the grey weathered areas & each one is different.

I will be using in a newly remodeled kitchen behind floating shelves about 24 inches wide. I purchased two boxes so I could also put in another area of the kitchen & may consider some in my newly remodeled bathroom.

I think it’s gonna look awesome!.

Choose these panels to make barn doors for a large bedroom window. I needed a product that was light weight and these hit the mark. The only downside was the backside is not distressed like the front which I’m sure cost effective.

However since I’m doing a window I need the outside view finished. Their light enough to double up but a coat of paint and a little sandpaper should do the trick.

Purchased the white with grey distressing. For my mud/doggie room. Nailed to wall. There are some very small gaps. I painted the wall white 1st and it Looks AMAZING!

These were nothing more than a little stain/paint applied to thin planks that anyone can do on their own and they would probably look better. I am returning them and will be doing these on my own and will probably cost less than $10 for the complete project.

I was hestitant to buy the “cheapest” available of this type of product, but I’m so glad I took the chance. such a clean, elegant look. it was my first time using wallpaper, period. I followed some tips id found from home improvement sites and didn’t wet the paper, but glued the wall instead and had a relatively easy time of it.

The beadboard wallpaper is very forgiving. I have a not great picture I’ll attach, haven’t added the trim yet. The other wallpaper I paired the beadboard with is the seafoam Chinoiserie that I boght from Houzz as well, I’m so pleased with the end result!.

I bought this wallpaper to cover damaged drywall and wood panelling in an ancient mobile home. The product was easy to apply and adhered to the drywall and wood panelling very well. It left the rooms looking fresh and bright.

I am very happy with the result.

We used this to create a frame around a pendant chandelier. There was some uneven places on the ceiling from old paint and the previous light fixture. It looks pretty good. We did some sanding to smooth out where it would go.

There are a few places where you can see indentions, but it looks pretty good. We were pleased. That being the case, I also have plans to create framed panels for solid bedroom doors. I’m wondering if it will mar easily.

It looks good enough on the ceiling that I’m willing to give it a try and hope it holds up well. If it needs replacing down the road, it’s a pretty easy and inexpensive thing to switch out if needed.

Also, I used it as is, without painting it, so that might be why it marred a little. I will paint it when I do the doors and that might give it a little more resiliency. Overall, I’m happy with it.

Beautiful tile. Looks so much like the real thing it’s awesome. A few of the tiles are very speckled and has too much variation in color for my liking, but we’ll pick those out. Will consider doing more projects with this one!.

More fragile than I expected. I had 2 tiles on the ground and my dog walked by and slipped on one and it chipped once it hit against the other. Was thinking about using this for a kitchen floor but it seems as if anything were to drop on it it would break.

Looks just like the image in the post. Came packed in vacuum packed shipping foam to protect the tile. It shipped fast, and I am well pleased.

Easy enough to work with, bent a few sheets to go around corners between 2 2x4s. Some of the edges were curled over but this stuff is so light you can pretty much bend it back by hand. Cutting is a breeze too.

I’ve scored a couple with a razor blade and wiggled the tin back and forth until it sheared off. I also used tin snips to cut out wall outlets. My only complaint is that some of the panels were hardly rusted.

The only rust they had seemed to rub off from other peices in the box during shipping. This stuff isnt necessarily free so I was a little disappointed that I had to put shiny galvanized panels between horribly rusted ones.

I wanted the most rotten panels I could get and the majority fit the bill, just looks kinda strange with bright peices here and there.

We are very excited to have found Dakota Tin! Our old and decreped garage walls were a mess. Seeing as we did not want to put dry wall up in the garage, we found the tin to line the walls of our garage and turn it into a magical garage oasis.

IT was the added finishing touch to our once mundane garage, now I want to hang out in there, it looks so nice! Only other thing I wish they had were outlet covers to match, but that is the only thing else i really wanted.

This is the first time we have looked into / used wainscoting of any sort. We ordered the Antique Wainscoting, and it looks stunning! It gives us a very modern yet rustic look, all while giving a warm / welcoming feel.

The panelling was fairly easy to install and it looks very good in my Family Room. The wood is solid oak; even though it’s fairly thin, it’s surprisingly strong which means it won’t mark or scratch easily.

I applied a layer of matte varnish which protects the wood from getting easily soiled and also brings out its “character” – looks awesome. The only downside is that it’s not as tall as I would have liked it to be, in order to clear the back of the sofas.

To correct for that I had to buy separate boards of 4″ wide oak wood that I placed underneath the panelling, kind of like a baseboard. Luckily for me the colour matches quite well. Quite satisfied with the result.

We have a 1919 home and we were replacing the original wainscoting in our home. When I ordered this product it stated 3/4 inch wainscoting! Only the trim pieces, top & bottom, are 3/4 in thick. the actual wainscoting is only about 1/4 thick!!!!!! Not happy!.

Very happy! This is easy to install and looks great. It even feels like brick. I’m not done with the install yet but after months of deciding what to do with a problem wall, I’m very pleased with this choice.

Good quality. I did use finishing nails in a few places where the old plaster wall wasn’t perfect. They can’t be seen. The adhesive sticks really well!.

I ordered the white for a kitchen backsplash. It looks great and very realistic. It was the perfect solution for an uneven wall surface. The adhesive is really strong, but we used nails as well for extra security.

The best part about it is that any seams, nail holes, or other irregularities can be covered with sanded white caulk and it just adds to the old brick effect.

This product exceeded my expectations. It was easy to cut and install. Recommend using small finishing nails to ensure it adheres to surface. It complete changed the vibe of our wine room.

Way better than the picture! This panel is definitely high class looking and add the sophistication needed. Make sure you measure right, I have to order 3 times as I need 18 ft. But well worth the money!.

I mistakenly thought these would be stick on or something. Like that but they are the real thing and look nice a good amount of work to install but will look nice.

I love this paneling! (wainscoting I think its called) we put it above our vanity like a tall backsplash and it looks so good
