20 Best Wall Mount Fan (2022 Updated)

Everything works as stated, easy to assemble, Remote works great, quiet , however the quality Of materials is weak, dont know how long they will last, time will tell, but for the price they are a good value.

SO far both have worked flawlessly, move a good amount of air in both stationary and oscillating modes. These units do not oscillate in the figure 8 pattern, I have two others on my yacht that do, i hardly notice and difference.

If the materials that make up the fan blade, housing and support for motor were more solid and able to be secured instead of just pushed in, I would have given them a 5 star rating. Photos to follow.

Great product for the price. I was a bale to assemble and mount it easily as a mid 50 year old lady. I placed it in my excessive room and it is working perfectly. It’s got just enough power to move the air around and provide some cooling while working up a sweat.

The oscillation and remote both work well. I’m thinking of buying another for a small bedroom.

The fans were easy to install and work as expected. The only problem I had was one fan blade was not balanced and there was a little vibration which was easy enough to fix by trimming off a little from the plastic blades.

I purchased two of these fans and ended up buying two more to use on the farm. I like the enclosed motor to keep the dust out of the fan. I use them in my stable and chicken house, both places have lots of dust and I felt the enclosed motor would be a good choice.

I believe the description says the fan is indoor and outdoor, however, the directions in the box state indoor only. They don’t put out as much air as a big high velocity fan would but the air flow is quite sufficient.

It is an excellent purchase for the money. The blades are metal; not like most fans these days which are plastic. The cord on the fan is quite long and is an added plus. I am very pleased with the fans.

I will say that the first two I purchased were put together (labels upside down and sideways – showed no pride in the company workers), but the next two weren’t and of course I had to make a trip back to the work shop to find a screw driver (didn’t expect that since the first two were ready to use) but there is only one screw on each fan that has to be turned for the covers to be secured to the fan.

No problem. I would recommend this fan. It is a good fan for the price.

Bought this fan for my barn. Purchased two about 5 years ago for in the stalls. They work great, different speeds, a long cord/chain to hang high so the horses can’t reach and still be able to adjust the speed.

Bought two more as one finally died. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars because one came with only a short chain! Bu Met. Otherwise love these fans!!! Nice amount of power to move the air.

The instructions that were provided with this fan were very minimal, but with good reason. It’s a simple process. There are three holes in the mounting bracket, but only one is truly needed (even the instructions say so).

I was surprised to see that no hardware was included, however! This would have been a really inexpensive item for the manufacturer to have included, so I am not sure why they skipped it. Luckily, I had the required wood screw and washer for mounting and selected a crossbeam in my building for a sturdy support point.

The knobs on either side turn to adjust the pitch of the fan to direct the wind flow. I have routed mine so that the hot air is routed out of the building. This has also been helpful with forcing dust out of the building, as well.

Speaking of which, the enclosed motor housing was definitely the appeal for me with this fan because of the high dust environment. This fan was made to withstand large amounts of dust without being affected over time.

Over the time that I have used it, it has continued to operate like new and the dust doesn’t seem to bother it at all. It has also never changed positions. The lightweight aluminum fan blades seem to make for very powerful wind flow because I have never had to set it above the lowest speed.

The fan is super quiet which is surprising for such a powerful motor. I am also impressed by the extra long power cord because it reaches all the way to the nearest outlet without an extension cord. Also, the pull cord for the ON/OFF/SPEED is plenty long as well.

The cage is durable and the tines are close enough together to keep fingers safe from the blades. Overall, the fan is powerful, quiet, and durable. The only pain-point is the lacking hardware but I won’t deduct a star for that!.

I am amazed by this fan. I live on a farm and for years I’v tried different fans for our barn. We ride horses and need a fan in our tack room where we bath, shoe and groom our horses. I hadn’t found one fan that would half way do what I needed.

The MAXX AIR fan is unreal. First off it has metal blades. No more plastic junk. It’s wall mountable and the wall mount is already attached and you can adjust it to the angle you need. It has a pull chain so you can mount it higher.

Three speed fan and I also noticed on the papers that came with it the motor itself is permanently sealed so you never have to oil it. But that is a BIG plus for me because that means the motor will not get full of dust sticking to the oil and eventually stopping.

it does have a one year warranty by the way. If your looking for a great quality fan, one that has unreal power I highly recommend this one.

I got my Maxx Air 18 In. 3-Speed Tilting Wall Mount Fan and didn’t hesitate to try it out. It has good air flow, I had to turn the speed down to push the heat off the ceiling. It works better than the ceiling fan.

I use it to push heat and cool off too. (Ohio weather) I found the perfect corner for the fan so that I can push air through the house and heat or cool the other rooms. I didn’t have much problems mounting the fan as I to the bracket off the fan and after deciding the perfect place I placed the fan and screwed the knobs back on.

When I push heat I tilt it up and to cool face it down. Nice chain for choosing 3 speeds, the cord long and nice and sturdy and long enough to plug in if outlet is near I had to run an extention cord to plug it in and okay with it as I conected to a circuit breaker bar.

This summer I will be using it to push the AC.

This is a great product. It installed VERY easily and works excellent for what I wanted it for. It freed up floor space and circulates the air in my room nicely. The speed control pull string is a nice plus for this.

Cord is plenty long enough to plug into the wall socket. I would buy again if I have the need for another or replacement in the future.

Wanted a wall-mount fan for a workout work. This fan has a cord to turn on and off and change settings so it’s an easy reach even if fan is mounted close to ceiling. Unit has good air output and good length cord.

We mounted the fan on the wall between windows, ran the cord across the wall and the window frame to the outlet. Then we used plastic cord covers to conceal the wire. Only negative is the plug is dark blue.

We covered the plug with white tape so it wasn’t noticeable. Overall, very satisfied.

Like one of the other reviewers, I am in Saipan which is a hot, tropical island. As the other reviewer noted, the all plastic construction is good for the salty air. The plastic does make it look kind of cheap, but it beats rusting.

I had to run electric to mount the fans, so it was not a cheap proposition, but I just had a gathering on my lanai and my guests were grateful for the breeze. I had to argue with the contractor on where to place them — I wanted them to blow on people sitting down.

He refused to bend the head of the fan because he thought it would break, but I did it and it was fine. They have only been used once and one of the plastic covers fell off, but it snapped back on. It has a nice little pull string on the bottom.

So two fans and electrical work: $247. Light breeze in a tropical climate: priceless.

This is really a nice fan! I love that its wall mounted. You can Set this up in a house, shop, garage, travel trailer, you name it. I live in a vintage 1930s farmhouse, and while it has good bones and Charm, it’s not modern, I have no ceiling fans in the kids rooms.

there is 2 pull cords That hang down so one is for oscillation or swing mode, the other Is for speed, these are more for if your hanging this up high. This fan really moves the air around the room good, its powerful, and Not too noisy.

This Hurricane Wall Mounted Fan is everything & more. I was able to mount this fan all by myself ( 49 yr. old Lady). I found the perfect place for it , living room area. It’s perfect & cools the entire area.

It also gives me the opportunity to cool down stairs without having to turn my AC on. Since there are plenty of days when I don’t want to run my AC. I love that it can rotate & tilt up or down. The white color blends in with the wall perfectly.

Who needs it when you have a Wall Mounted 3 speed Fan with tilt & rotation. Updated my house like ( Yes indeed ).

I knew this was an industrial fan but I needed to cool a larger than normal covered patio area beside our pool. I mounted the fan to a wall at a height of about 6 feet off the concrete floor. I adjusted it to angle down to blow air on guests sitting on our patio furniture.

This fan puts out enough air on low speed to circulate air in an approximately 300 sqare feet area. Crank it up to medium or high and hold on to your hat! It is over kill for such a small area; an 18 or 20 inch would have worked but a wall mount oscillating model that size is hard to find.

The fan is fairly noisely, but you have to expect that from an industrial fan. This fan would be great for a shop, barn, or garage. I am pleased with the product so far and would recommend it.

This is a great product! We leave in Texas where it is very hot. This fan does the job as it moves a lot of air! We use it for an outdoor patio. I was concerned with some comments about the noise level but it is not louder than any other big outdoor fan.

I purchased 2 of these fans after reading the reviews. I have an older 2 story home with the 2 smaller bedrooms facing west. We live in an extremely hot part of Southern California and these 2 bedrooms get the hot, hot, hot late afternoon sun.

I just had a new air condition installed but was still unable to keep these rooms cool. The vents in these rooms are on the ceiling and I felt that the cool air just wasn’t coming down enough so I had the brilliant idea to install these wall mount fans just below the vents to help pull the cool air down.

My brother in law installed the fans and my idea worked perfectly! I no longer hear from my son “mom, it’s too hot in my room”! As long as you keep the door open a bit to help the air circulate the room becomes much cooler.

I love that the fan tilts so I can direct the cool air down. The fan itself is not any noisier than a regular floor fan and it is pretty darn powerful. I would highly recommend this fan!.

I wasn’t searching for a powerful fan at all. In the process of installing Split Unit A/C’s, so I replaced a Wall Unit A/C and basically purchased this fan to redirect the air flow. Very easy assembly and install too.

And, it has done Exactly That. I’ve Searched for awhile now and took a chance on this one. Not Extremely Powerful At All, but for what I was interested in it is Actually A Perfect Application. What a bargain in my opinion.

So far so good I’ve bought two fans for the top of my childrens bunk beds and I have a low roof because i stay in an aprartment so the cord fits fine but it is short. These fans were very easy to put together and after reading a few other reviews from other custoers i learned how to put the fans up myself without a stud finder i just used anchor screws which worked perfect.

They blow out really good air they are not weak fans. So i’m very satisfied with my purchase :).

We purchased this fan to help cool off my horse during the summer months. It is very well made & the motor is enclosed, so perfect for this location, since there is a lot of dust in a horse barn. It is also appropriate for a wet location (not in my case) We mounted it up over the top of the stall, pointed somewhat down.

It was probably about 10 feet up and well secured to the stall structure. We attached an extension cord that had a remote switch on it so that the fan could be turned on without the need to climb on a ladder each time it was to be used.

This worked out very well & the fan ran about 10 hours per day during the super hot summer (as long as there was someone in the barn to turn it off). We used the fan for just short of two summers until something happened to the fan without anyone (human or horse) touching it – one of the blades of the 3-blade assembly sheared nearly off the blade assembly.

We contacted Newair’s customer service and they have been super helpful! They are sending us a full replacement! (They even sent a return label) We are very satisfied by the assistance we received. Just wish we hadn’t needed to make use of them, but are so glad they were able to help us! This is a great fan & really kept my horse comfortable while not making a lot of noise (also helpful for a horse barn).

Great things about this fan-very powerful, even on lowest setting moves a lot of air. I use another window fan to bring cool air in (when it’s cooler outside, of course) then use this Newair fan to move the hot air out.

When weather conditions are right, this cools down the space very quickly. I feel confident the fan will last (this is summer #2), and the grill comes off for cleaning. The only negative-and this is mitigated by putting a nonslip mat underneath-is that because it is so powerful, the fan “skates” around on the hardwood floor, but, easilty addressed.

The good performance of this fan led me to purchase a portable ac unit from this company this year (will do a separate review for that). One mention, a hd fan like this makes some noise-does not bother me, but is to be expected.

I understand that I bought a refurbished fan but I really didn’t expect it to be so wobbly and shaky, especially when I turned it on, to test it, before mounting the fan. I held it and on the lowest speed, it was not very steady at all.

I then turned it up to higher speeds and it was better. So I put it together on the base and tightened everything and it seemed to be ok for a minute, only to start shaking again! Higher speeds were again, better, but STILL wobbly.

My Wife HATES it, so I am going to have to take the fan apart, box it all back up and return it! What a pain in the butt!! I guess it was too good to be true, with the price being quite a bit lower, for a water resistant, high velocity fan.

Better luck next time, I guess.

This fan gets the job done, but it does not thrill me. On the positive, features are good and it moves the air well. On the negative, the grill surrounding the blades is thin-gauge metal and either it arrived with a few bends in it or I bent them just while handling it–with reasonable care–during assembly.

I was able to bend them back to acceptable appearance. It is not quiet by any means. In oscillation there is a noise that I haven’t been able to track down yet. A template to help with mounting would be a nice addition to the documentation.

The weight of the unit does not seem to be specified in document, I had to look elsewhere for that in order to choose the appropriate hardware to mount it. There is not a lot of selection to choose from in this product category, but if and when I have to replace this product, I probably will shop around more for alternatives.

Really happy with this purchase. Needed to add a fan to our kitchen, but do to space restriction this was a perfect candidate Have it mounted on interior entryway between kitchen and livingroom. Fan was up and running within ten minutes.

Perfect solution for our needs. Being it was mounted to an interior entryway frame there was no need for wall anchors. Can’t say how it would be using wall anchors, but I suppose if you get more heavy duty anchors than the ones supplied you’d probably be ok mounting the fan on plasterboard.

Fan has a remote control, which comes in handy, and it throws a nice breeze. Fan also has a tilt option that you have to set manually, but that’s not a detraction. Has different fan modes and a timer that you can set so it shuts off automatically.

Fan also has a “Sleep” mode, in which basically the fan will run on high and then slow down to low and then back up to high speed again. I believe it will do this until it eventually cycles down to a low mode and then will turn off.

Not sure what the benefit of that is, but maybe to some it’s a good thing.

It works well but it’s not quiet at all. It was hard to find a budget fan with all the features I needed. I needed it wall mounted, with a remote, and oscillation. The slowest speed setting is super blowy and quite loud.

But I couldn’t find a better price anywhere, and I wanted to pay as little as possible for the features I needed. So if you want an amazing fan, look elsewhere. If you want one that blows hard, but is heavy, bulky and noisy.

but functional, for an unbeatable price this is your fan.

The fan was a bit pricey but we have had great luck with the Lasko brand. All in one, easy to assemble and install. My one recommendation would be to change the mounting bracket screw head to phillips head.

I think it would add the ease of installation, the straight blade screw heads seem out dated.

We are replacing a 22 year old Dayton wall mounted fan. It runs in the upstairs hallway to move some air. I runs 200 days a year. This one runs very quite and moves a good amount of air. This fan is very lightweight and I hope it runs as long as the last one.

The cover to the fan blades snaps into place, I can only hope this last. My old fan had clips to hold the METAL fan blade cover in place.

I bought mine used. It came with a warped blade (plastic) that would not allow it to spin with the front grill attached. I was able to use a heat gun to bring the blade back into proper shape and the fan is perfect.

I bought this fan because my daughter said it was great, so I did. Two or three days ago I took it out of the box and prepared to hang it. Once I got it all finished I tried it, first at the controls, nothing ,I then thought it was the outlet, nothing, tried it everywhere, nothing.

Tried the remote with brand new batteries, nothing. NOT ONE THING ON THE FAN WORKED. So I called QVC ,explained to them not one thing about the fan worked. What would you like to do, replace it, if you could send me a replacement, I will use the box to return this ,as I threw this one’s away.

Oh no we need that one back use the return that came with it, there was nothing but a blank piece of paper in it. Sorry you have to return that one before we send out another. I don’t need a fan at Christmas.

I have a bonus room with a low ceiling that won’t accommodate a ceiling fan so this seemed like the next best thing. a wall mounted oscillating fan. Remote is cool. It’s quiet. it has a cool timer. It has a great variety of speeds and airflow.

BUT, a few things cheapened it: the plastic fan screen gasket lock was both difficult and flimsy. The mounting was my biggest beef. It’s is just suppose to hang on one little point. Too me that spells lots of unneeded movement, especially in oscillation mode, and lots of vibration in any mode.

Being able to fix it to the wall securely would make more sense to me. Last, it really should have had more option of where the power cord exits from the back of the mount including on option that allows it to be hidden by coming out the back.

I modified the mounting and cord exit to accommodate my personal standards and it works great. Overall, it’s a good fan.

Installed in the 4th bedroom of our house for comfort purposes during hot/warm days. Each of the remaining 3 bedrooms has the same fan model installed around 2 years ago. They’re well built, quite, easy to install, and have more than ample power to move/circulate air.

I researched to find a wall mount remote control fan and found this Air King. I like all the feature except I have two main issues. First, the silly plastic band that hold the front grill in place to the rear grill is a major paint to install while trying to align the two grills.

Why couldn’t they just left it like the old style with a slot key and a fold down tab that holds the grill. Pain later when you have to clean blades. Second: I wanted a quiet fan, not a vibrating train.

this fan vibrates and makes noise when in oscillating mode. Not bad when not in oscillating mode. Something is not balanced with the motor. Not happy at all with this problem.

The fan is sort of quiet but the 3 speeds are close to same in speed. The blade is cheap and thin and is most likely why it’s semi noisy. It does a good job for us on our patio. The price was right for our needs and the remote control is a nice feature.

Oscillating head is a nice feature.

The rear housing was broken loose from the fan and had a crack in the back. The rear grid support was cracked. If I wasn’t handy at fixing things and the fact that I needed it right away, I would have sent it back.

I repaired it and it’s working fine. The factory packing was not enough for the abuse it took getting here.

This was the fan I was looking for. Best of all, it has a wireless remote that I can control from my bed. Only thing is that the product I received did not look like the picture at all. Still works wonderful.

This fan is awesome, really moves some air and operates quiet. The folks at Happy Hydro recommended this fan and of course they were right on point again. If your not only looking for equipment but actually a company who is full of knowledge, willing to spend the time answering all your questions and willing to go the extra mile assuring your needs are met rather then just the sale, look no further.

We purchased this fan to help circulate air in a poorly ventilated bathroom. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, I was leery about purchasing a fan online because it may not be exactly what I was looking for; however, I am pleased to report that this fan DID NOT DISAPPOINT! As soon as I took it out of the box, I could tell that this fan was sturdy and well made by its sheer weight.

It feels commercial grade. When I put the fan together, I made sure to tighten all the pieces and since I was mounting the fan on drywall, I opted to use anchors to ensure stability. With two screws, the fan easily mounted to the wall and oscillates virtually silently.

There is no vibration to speak of and it is powerful enough that we usually use it on low. The power cord is long enough to reach where it needs to go and the rest of it tucks neatly behind the base.

The pull cord is particularly neat. You don’t ever have to touch the fan dial. Just pull the cord and the dial turns by itself! SO COOL! I am quite pleased with this fan and will most definitely purchase another for other areas of the house.

I do not get these negative reviews. This fan is quiet and puts out plenty of air even on the 1st setting. Having said that, for some reason unknown to me these people put a BLACK plug on a white cord so it stands out like a sore thumb against my white wall.

And the color is not the white it looks like in the ad. It is an odd looking off white so if you have true white walls it will not match. However, the product itself is very good so I am ignoring these cosmetic issues.

We have moved to an apartment that has no options for ceiling fans. We don’t even have a light other than lamps in our bedrooms and living room. I have breathing problems and we have 2 yorkies that sleep in our bed with us at night.

It can get too warm. We just had a major heatwave here too. We have absolutely loved our wall mounted fan in our bedroom. We would certainly consider getting another for our guest room later. We run it pretty much 24/7 and we have been able to bump our thermostat from 65 to 70 simply because of the cool air moving from the fan.

We did install a 4 inch wide piece of wood to ensure good stability. We happened to have some scrap wood from a cedar project and it works great. I also really like the way it can be taken down to clean!.

Overall, the fan does move a lot of air. It was surprising that the oscillating function not only moves side to side but also up-and-down. You can set it to either or, or both. The only complaint I have is in regards to the remote.

The IR sensor on the fan itself is not very sensitive. You have to get very close to the fan in order to be able to use it. I ended up purchasing an IR extender for $10 to be able to use it the way I wanted to, but I believe I should not have had to do that.

Nevertheless, the fan does a great job at doing what fans should do and that is move air.

Very happy with fans. We have an older home and unfortunately not enough room to put ceiling fans into bedrooms. This was an excellent alternative. Have three kids and each one got one in there room.

All kids have loft beds to allow more floor space in smaller bedrooms of older homes. This helps keep the air from becoming stagnet and hot when they sleep.

a pleasant surprise, my plastic blades r white not black like picture shows, much better looking. in terms of look, function, features, noise level, identical to Costco. com’s Hurricane brand, yet over 30% cheaper here at Walmart.

com. only difference says Lorell at center. only con which is same across all oscillating fans i’ve encountered in the market is the up&down tilt, very limited, 5 degrees tilt. since left&right can go 90 degrees, one would think up& down can vary like that too, but no.

Great to move air throughout the house. We had 2 dated wall sconces on each end of the house and replaced them with these mounted fans. We cut the cord and hardwired in instead. They look modern and keep air moving.

High quality pivots, arms and metal finish. Can point forward or backwards for blowing out or blowing in. 2 speeds with high speed more than adequate for my needs. There’s an electrical cord from the base (which I used), but you could also hard-wire it if you wanted.

For some reason, I haven’t considered a wall fan until recently. The area where our bed fits best is away from the ac vents and has always been a bit stuffy. This wall fan solves the issue well. I debated spending extra for a remote but it’s well worth it.

Not only is there a timer, oscillation can be turned off as well. Also there is a “natural breeze” mode whereby the fan speed speeds and slows automatically. Combined with oscillation it makes for a nice outdoor breeze effect.

One minor issue. the remote power button only turns it off. The speed switch does double duty as the power on switch. I had a few moments thinking the unit was d. o. a. but it works just fine. $40 for even one night’s sleep is well worth it!.

The fan is very quiet and powerful. The remote is very simple to use and stands upright rather than laying down like most. I am using this fan in my bedroom since it gets very hot. The oscillation feature keeps the room air circulated.

Like I stated it is quiet, so it works nicely in a bedroom.

Great concept! Fan is up and out of the way of kids and pets. Our windows are top-opening, awning style, so we can mount the fans high enough to draw the cooler evening air inside. Our bedrooms are upstairs under the eaves in a 1939 farmhouse, so it can be very warm and stuffy up there mid-summer.

We have one fan hung and it has worked well. Even on lowest setting it is a bit noisier than “white noise” but that drowns out the roar of early morning commuters on our road. So far we are very pleased with the purchase.

I am on my second Holmes oscillating wall mount fan now, model # HMF1611A-UM. Why did I buy a second one if I only gave it 3 stars? The good: I use this in my garage for the hot midwest summers and find that it moves air efficiently without an excess of noise.

I like the oscillating feature. It mounts to the wall easily and was a cinch to assemble. I like it. That being said, the weak link the the “string pull cord” 3 way switch. Go easy with it, as if you get too aggressive in switching between modes the switch will come apart.

It is seemingly repairable, but I became so frustrated in trying I decided to just buy another fan. AND, IN COMPARING competing brands and reading the reviews, it seems the Holmes HMF1611A-UM is still the sturdiest and quietest.

Even with the weak switch, If I get 5 years of solid use out of this (like I did the previous fan) I will be OK with it. And, this one being 5 years newer, who knows, maybe Holmes fixed the switch!.

This wall fan is a great space saver! It was easy to install and has 3 settings and also an option for the fan to stay still or rotate. It has 2 rope type strings you can control it with ( if its up to high on wall to reach the dial button) Now here`s the big question.

do you like the sound of a fan while you sleep? My husband loves the sound,it puts him to sleep BUT I hate the sound!!! If I turn it down on the 1 setting it is good but 2 and 3 are much louder! My husband likes it on 3.

It does give a strong wind and cools it off rather nice. The fan is great but just a little loud for my taste thats why I gave only 4 stars. Other than that it`s a great fan!.

From my doorstep to the wall in less than a half hour. Assembly/installation is straight forward, but definitely I recommend using drywall anchors if you don’t have a stud to screw it into as the unit is fairly heavy.

It runs quietly on the lowest setting, but higher ones can get a little noisy. Oscillation is smooth and quiet as well. It angles downward about 30 degrees and moves a good amount of air for it’s size.

Overall, it’s a good product that I’m happy with. It’s cheaper than other wall-mounted fans with more bells and whistles, but still pricier than a standard box fan. 8/10 would recommend if space is an issue in the space you want cooled.
