At age 67, switching from an old-style wallet was a risk. I hated the bulk of traditional wallets, but appreciated having room for a lot. That said, I’ve always been at the forefront of using technology (studied FORTRAN in the early 70s in HS, had PCs and been online since the late 70s), so I really do have everything on my smartphone these days.

I’ve even switched to a Keysmart for my keys and don’t carry around all those small scan-able loyalty cards. I just had to make the mental switch to using the phone more. Plus, calling up those loyalty cards in a smartphone digital wallet isn’t as quick and easy as touch-to-pay as you still have to open the wallet app, get the card on the screen and scan it.

Just not as quick and simply scanning a keyring-sized loyalty card. That say, I ams lowly learning to love my Ekster Parliament. My pants pockets and thighs are much happier too! My biggest problem with my Parliament is finding space for cards that are not credit-card size (think Medicare cards.

The government has yet to make an online version. Yes, I have a photo of it on my phone, but most medical places want the card to make a photocopy. My local library has a scan-able tag but it’s a non-standard bar-code which Google or Samsung wallet won’t accept, so it lives in the strap of my Parliament along with a small amount of cash and a Visa gift card because the cardholder is full already.

Glad I didn’t get a tracker, there’s no room int he cardholder as it is, and the back pocket holds a somewhat thicker proximity keycard I need for access at one place I work. Oh, and silly me forgot to respond fast enough when I first got the wallet a few weeks ago to get the free money clip.

I’m using a paperclip for now. I do love the way the card holder works, and how it doesn’t get accidentally caught in the pocket like some other designs that stick out. The quality and craftsmanship appear solid.

We’ll see how it hold up (my previous wallet was almost 20 years old and still quite usable and presentable. ).

I was hesitant because I have always held so much. crap in my wallet. But I really liked the way these wallets looked and functioned. Finally for my birthday this year my wife got it for me. I AM IN LOVE.

I literally show this to everyone I know with a whole sales pitch and everything. I have already been given 3 compliments from strangers in 3 weeks. Just from the scenario you would imagine; I whip out my wallet at Walmart to pay the cashier = Whoa! Thats a cool wallet! I had one woman recognize that it was an Ekster wallet and had questions because she had been considering getting her husband one! I am pretty sure she turned around and pulled the trigger! (bought a wallet to be clear!) I must say though.

I absolutely needed the version that has a fold. Realistically with used cards. (bent and what not) it fits 5 in the pop up and 3 in the other pockets (the fold). Plus the money strap seems loose for just a couple bills, but with too many bills significantly raises the fold when in the folded position.

So without the fold I would be concerned my money could slide out. To play devils advocate though. without the fold there would be no real width gain if you were to put more bills in the strap. More bills= tighter fit, less concerns with losing money.

Personally though the extra card pockets are a godsend. I have insurance cards in one pocket. My “do not use unless emergency” card in one and my ID in the exterior pocket for quick and easy access to pull out and scan.

It fits perfectly in front pocket, but I’ve noticed its slim enough that it fits in the back pocket off to one side so when you sit it ends up off to the side of of you’re @$$ cheek. I don’t even notice that its in my pocket half the time.

ALL in ALL 10 out of 10. Its got character, its slim and sleek, and it is sure to raise some eyebrows when you are showing it off or paying the bill.

Having seen promos for Ekster and various other smart wallet companies on social media, I gave Ekster a look. I liked the designs of the wallets, especially the Parliament, so I waited for a sale (they are indeed well above what anybody would consider the usual price for a wallet).

Lucky I chose to wait because Ekster released a new limited edition “upcycled” wallet in a beautiful “sand” color, and it looks gorgeous. Having spent some time with it I can say that it’s very much worth the price.

The leather exterior is great, you have a cash strap and two interior pockets with a third exterior pocket on the back, and of course there is the signature bottom trigger that slides out your cards.

A lot of people will warn that the trigger can potentially break and insist they are happy with their Ridge or Apache Pine or Code or any other brand of wallet, and sure, they may indeed be happy. I was fine with Apache Pine for a while because I was tired of needing a fat wallet for so little used, so I scaled down but ran into the problem of needing a bit more space.

Ekster gives me everything I need and if you want a new wallet that’s a step above a simple card holder, then take the site’s quiz and see which one is right for you.

We were a little skeptical because of price, but when we received it we were very impressed with it! The quality is good, a lot more storage for cards, money etc. and not bulky at all! I give a thumbs up and would definitely recommend this as well as buy from them again!.

I wanted something simple and sleek o carry my i. d. and debit and credit cards and this wallet is perfect. Its made of good strong material and I can hardly realize it’s in my pocket. If u don’t like big bulky wallets and want a quality product this is the wallet for u.

I like the design and two compartments one zipper, the other snap shut. Plus all the places for credit cards, insurance cards and the location of the driver’s license or picture ID. I had a smaller wallet that was too easy to misplace or lose.

Therefore, I bought this larger longer version and I’m quite pleased with my purchase of this product. Later I may buy the matching handbag or backpack handbag I could use. For now I’m pleased with just the wallet.

So much card storage; it’s great! Not sure who still uses a check book, but maybe I’ll use it for a thin wallet when traveling. For now the insert is in my drawer. I was hoping my phone would fit in the zippered pocket, but the phone is a bit too thick.

I feel I can safely secure my phone in the main part though and snap it shut. The material and construction both seem like good quality. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I have searched for the perfect wallet for quite awhile. I finally found my perfect wallet. Enough slots for cards. Money compartment for change and bills. Love this wallet. I purchased 2 more for family.

I chose this wallet because of the zipper all the way around so nothing can slip out. The size is no bigger than necessary and very slim. I will use the interior zipper pocket for large bills and medical cards.

It is very light weight and seems to be the perfect travel wallet although trip cancelled so didn’t get to test it. I got the floral and it is beautiful.

I love the organization and the RFID blocking capabilities (the reason I purchased it). I also like the fact that it doesn’t quickly show dirt (due to the fabric design). It IS bigger than I thought, even though I “measured” before I purchased; thankfully it fits in my purse.

This is a nice passport holder with room for your vac card and an extra area on the back of the holder for other documents or money.

It will protect your passport from bending but it’s not leather and not RFID protection

I ordered two of these and was totally dissatisfied with them. They were constructed of two pieces of “metal” held together by some type of stretch bands. Since I had them personalized, I could not get a refund.

I threw them away. Would not even give the one star. Don’t buy them.

Got this engraved for my bf as a Christmas gift. Hes always wanted a money clip of his own; he uses his dads in remembrance. He was so happy I got it engraved for him and loves the card holder part.!

Purchased for my dad and he really likes it. He was concerned that a metal case might be uncomfortable in front pocket, but says it doesn’t bother him. Also said the clip was extra tight – good grip.

Long time concern is how the elastic will hold up over wear & tear. Time will tell.

Nice wallet, lots of internal space. Robust cordura(?) material lasts well, but slots do stretch after a few years, but then again, so does leather. Two bill slots and a slot for stamps. Two zip pockets for change, pills or whatever.

Light and easy to carry.

I wanted something that is small yet able to hold more than 4 cards and some money. With this item, I got a wallet that holds (if you stack them together), at the moment 9 cards, some cash, and even some coins (1-4 coins is ok, anything above that is too bulky).

And like this, it is still very much thin. I love it. Quality is OK for now, but I’ve only had it for a month, so not much wear and tear.

This is an amazing little wallet,very compact and sturdy, made of quality materials and has an understated colour (grey). I very much enjoy using this wallet because it’s very practical and functional: it has a zipped coin compartment, a note compartment and several credit card slots.

Knowing that it is RFID protected gives some extra peace of mind. Excellent value.

I’m a huge fan of Kodiak Leather’s antique brown color and now own a trifecta (messenger bag, minimalist wallet, and passport cover). This piece, like the others is stiff out of the packaging- which to me promotes durability.

My passport creates a bit of a bulgy appearance because of the stiffness but still looks fantastic. Love the 4 card holder slits and the hidden cash/extra card(s) space behind the card holder. I actually prefer top grain over full grain for this piece as I believe (while not as soft) it will last much longer.

Susceptibility of paper documents to wear and tear is a concern. My purchase of the passport wallet was predicated on this as way to provide protection for this valuable identification document. I believe this wallet will ensure integrity of this ID as well as providing a long lasting protective cover.

I ain’t that old traveling, 50, but this one is nice and looks like it will last the rest of my years well. I have a bunch of their leather work because the all my mom and pops have retired and they sell quality equal to my old school outlets.

A beautiful wallet but when loaded at the max it doesn’t close as well. The slim mini can be pushed to the same amount and the leather has stretched but it hold shape. The close on this wallet gets compromised if you push it’s limits but that might be a time and softness issue.

Definitely time to break it in.

I probably have a box that contains 25-30 wallets. I finally I found THE right wallet. It is a good quality of leather with credit card slots with plenty of space for rarely used credit cards and loyalty cards.

Opposite of the card slots, my money fits in the top slot and my 2020se iPhone in its protective case slides into the bottom slot. \n\nThe wallet folds nicely and slides in and out of my purse easily.

The expat wallet is a wonderful passport holder. It looks and feels incredible and is highly functional as well. A must have for travel.

Overall this kit was very impressive. Even the packaging was super high quality. I only have a couple minor complaints: 1) the navy blue color isn’t the same from item to item like the pictures which I thought was weird.

2) the key holder doesn’t hold the keys very securely. It’s almost like the tensioner needs to be a tad stronger. I have 3 keys in it currently. Other than those 2 little things, I really am super happy about my purchase.

Using the Ridge Wallet has been a very positive experience overall. I get easy access to the only 2 cards I actually use (debit card and driver’s license), and once I got used to getting the cards out, it was actually easier to use than my old wallet.

It made my pocket less stretched and it was way easier to get out compared to my big grippy wallet. The biggest surprise for me was the key holder, it honestly made a bigger difference than changing my wallet.

Having all of my keys in a semi closed container has made having them in my pocket actually a usable experience. So definitely a must buy if you struggle with keys having nowhere to go.

I will say when you have been using a traditional Bi fold for so long it does take a bit to get used to the wallet. The key keeper is nice. helps to have a clip especially when you have a button start car you don’t have to have it in your pocket but you also don’t have to find a place in your dash to keep it.

Back to the wallet. I have not tried the money clip as I tend to have a lot of small bills. Not sure how long the elastic will last on the strap but so far it still works. It takes a few tries to learn how to get the cash in and out of it.

But it functions as needed and keeps the bulge down.

First purchased the black/grey ,nice but not suave enough for me. so I purchased the tan. Wow more me both have enough space for all my travel needs passport id, credit card and cash. Travel lite travel right.

I bought one each for my wife and I, seem very well made. Pockets are tight but should loosen up in time. Bought them during BOGO promotion so for $30 hard to go wrong. I’ve had F&H stuff for years and they wear great….

The wallet fills it’s primary purpose and fits a passport holding the document securely but not damaging it. As an amateur leatherworker I am confident saying that the leather is excellent quality, in particular given that it’s top grain and not full grain.

Buyer be warned this will be a very tight fit especially with regards to bills for several days. But with some body heat and a bit of time it seems to be wearing in nicely with minimal wear.

This is my absolute favorite wallet. I have tried some others but always come back to this one. I love the size and shape. I really enjoy having one to match each purse. Because it is not too large it is easy to switch out.

I never used to be matchy matchy. But they are all so cute. It makes me smile. Matching wallets are now a given and glasses cases a splurge.

I got a Trtl travel wallet last week and I am already loving it. The one thing that surprised me though, is it’s large size. It is wider on each side than a standard airline boarding pass and slightly longer.

This makes it great for keeping a passport, customs paperwork, boarding passes, etc in it. I am using it as a standard wallet and I really like the money pocket on the outside. Inside it has space for 6 credit cards and your driver’s license.

The license slot is easy to get the ID in and out of. It also has a keychain clip that snaps out but I don’t think I will use it much. What I am liking best is that since I just itemize my receipts for small business tax purposes, I have lots of receipts and I can slide them in without folding them.

I also keep my checkbook in it. The zipper seems very sturdy and the fabric seems water resistant and looks like it will hold up well to washing, although I haven’t done that yet. I am sure that the new iPhones would fit inside also, but I can’t test that out because I have a 6S, not the larger ones.

It’s important to note that the large size of this wallet means that it will just NOT fit inside a smaller purse. It really will fit best into a messenger bag, larger tote, or computer bag. I do wish it had more spaces for credit cards, but since it is so big I could always put another credit c Ars holder inside it.

I got this wallet for free after I left a review for the Trtl travel pillow. I actually left a pretty negative review of the pillow because it really did not work for me, and I really didn’t support why other people said it was great.

This wallet, however, is a dream come true. I have been hesitant to buy a travel wallet before because I feel like they’re each missing “one thing” that prevents them from being “perfect. ” Maybe there’s no clear-view window, maybe it doesn’t zip shut, maybe there’s no X.

etc. This Trtl wallet has everything I wanted and maybe more. I love all of the pockets and organization, and I’m probably going to start using this instead of my passport holder/organizer wallet that I’ve been using before.

The only thing I’m not sure about is whether the wallet is RFID blocking. I’ll still give it 5 stars, but I’d be even more pleased about it to learn if it was RFID blocking as well.

This is a long wallet but fits nicely in my purse. I have put all my important cards and license from my bulky wallet to this one. Even fits my phone. I have found that I do not like to bring my purse inside the store, church or restaurant because it is very big but has things i need in it when I drive from place to place like mask, driving glasses, sun glasses, ets.

So when I go to a restaurant I can leave my purse in the car and just take this Trtl travel wallet. The strap to wear on my wrist is handy in crowded places.

I’ve been using 2 of Nik’s wallets (style 4 with loop) to replace my leather wallet. Wallet1 (in Black 400 Halcyon) has my credit/ debit cards on side, and Tile tracker and cash on other sides. Outside pocket is used to store shop receipts.

Wallet2 (in Island 210 Ballistic) is used for store/ reward cards. What I like: well made; works well with key strap and o-rings to provide great security (i. e. integrates well with TB ecosystem); takes up a bit less space than my leather wallet; encourages me to carry less.

What I don’t like: quite fiddly and inconvenient in everyday use: having to roll/ unroll cash; having to juggle between 2 wallets to find right credit card and reward card depending on which shop you are in.

With my leather wallet I can do all this pretty much single handed – more easy and convenient for me in everyday use. And since cash notes and credit cards are each in their own sleeve/ pocket, they are much easier to find.

In conclusion I think Nik’s wallets are great for people who want to carry minimum in their pockets ( but less suitable for me who always carries a bag, with nothing in pockets).

I’ve used a Herschel Supply Co. “Charlie” wallet for years, but was ready to make the switch to something even more compact and less stiff. I did a lot of research into the best “minimalist” wallets from a reputable and ethical company and Tom Bihn kept coming up.

I had never heard of TB before, but gave it a shot after all the positive reviews. At first when it arrived, I was worried it was too small, but the material is flexible and stretchy to hold everything.

The cards aren’t snug inside the two pockets if the wallet were to flop open, but the elastic band is strong enough that I’ve never had that happen. On one side, I have my driver’s license, insurance card, work ID, and a few loose business cards.

On the other side, I have a Tile wallet tracker, and three bank/credit cards. It fits comfortable in my pocket without being as stuff or uncomfortable as I found my old one. All in all, I’m very happy with the wallet and can see this lasting for years.
