13 Best Water For Orchids (2022 Updated)

I bought a Frasier Fir Christmas Tree November 30th from my local garden center. They had a display of Miracle Gro for Christmas Trees for sale next to the check out. They were trying it out one of their trees so I thought “why not?” and bought one.

I immediately went home and put it in water, following the instructions and kept the room temperature at about 67F. Watered in the am and pm, never missed a day, kept water close to the top so the trunk never dried out.

The bottle lasted about 3 weeks, so I went back to get another and they only had one left! It is now January 12 and this tree looks as good as the day I brought it home, no brown needles anywhere. Keeps on going long after Christmas.

This water does seem to live up to the centuries old hype, I notice some positive changes in my health rather quickly. It doesn’t taste outstandingly delicious but my heavens it seems to be effective.

Very good Mineral water with a light fizz, have been drinking it for years.

I’m one of nature’s overwaterers, so I bought two of these about a year ago for my two orchids in the hopes that it would help prevent me from drowning my poor plants (sadly I had to send one back for a replacement as it was shattered on arrival).

The self-watering system is super easy to use. You can either fill the frosted glass ‘cup’ that the glass bowl sits on, and have the water drawn up into the bowl by the cotton cord provided, or you can water your orchid’s roots directly trusting that the cup will catch the overflow.

It’s a really pretty pot, it makes caring for my orchids much easier, and I’m pleased enough with it that, having just been gifted a third orchid, I’ve come to buy yet another one of these pots to keep it in! I saw another review complaining about the size being unclear, so I popped out my dressmaker’s tape.

For clarification, the glass ‘bowl’ in which the plant itself lives is approx 4. 5 inches tall and 19 inches circumference/7 inches diameter at its widest point, so this is not a huge pot! That being said it really is very pretty and very easy to keep clean, and it fits my orchids just fine.

My only complaint with it is because it’s made of two glass ‘halves’, the glass bowl does just rest on the frosted glass cup – there’s no ‘locking’ system at all other than the natural shape of the bowl.

It’s a pretty solid fit usually and if I didn’t have cats that like to jump up on the windowsill next to my plants I wouldn’t even mention it – as it is I’ve moved the pots to a place my cats can’t reach out of an abundance of caution.

All in all: a delightful – if slightly fragile – pot that looks beautiful in the home and makes keeping my plants sufficiently watered an absolute breeze. Measure your plants before purchase.

This was bought as a Christmas present (taking a chance). It was voted best present by the recipient. Regardless of the chosen plant (or whatever it’s used to hold), it is a thing of beauty, decorative in its own right.

Pot looks good and plants in it too. Simplifies casting immensely. Got it in two sizes by now. Unfortunately the cord has turned a little green. Algae? Probably because I used rainwater once, too.

The MSU fertilizer arrived in a very attractive plastic jar. From all appearances, it’s a carefully manufactured product, containing a variety of nutrients necessary for optimal plant growth. While the product is listed as an orchid food, the container also states that it’s “perfect” for a variety of plants, including “other indoor plants.

” That claim is perhaps a bit vague. Its NPK ratio is 13-4-16, and the formula contains several trace minerals necessary for optimal plant health. I’ve tried the fertilizer on some cacti and succulents, as well as on our other indoor plants.

The amount of fertilizer used is a mere 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water (fall and winter watering) and the instructions advise using plain water every 4th watering to flush the growing medium. At this rate, the 8 ounce jar will last quite a long time.

At this early stage, the fertilizer seems to be working well, although it will take much longer to make an accurate assessment of its overall effect on our houseplants. That being said, I’m confidant that this fertilizer will be one of several factors in successfully overwintering our houseplants.

This is definitely not your traditional spray bottle. it’s better! There are many things to like about the product, and of course dislike as well. I like how there are 4 different spray settings, so you can water whatever you need without an issue! Overall, it’s a pretty good product! Not the best quality, as plastic’s a little thin and sometimes it’ll leak, but it sprays well and doesn’t normally clog, so is pretty good overall.

🙂 Pros: AFFORDABLE! (I mean, c’mon, there’s no excuse that you can’t afford $3), wide variety of settings, easy to fill, refill, and empty, doesn’t normally get stuck, and overall better than those cheap hairspray bottles at the Dollar Tree.

Cons: thin plastic, bottle and top could possibly be broken/cracked/ruptures pretty easily, tends to leak sometimes.

I have a wonderful dog named Nelly who suffers from dog related anxiety. Tried many ways to train this 13 yo boy. Gentle sprays with this mister has done the trick. I have 20 years prof exp. Don’t!

I’ve used many different kinds of bottle sprayers over the years but was always looking for the best value. This sprayer was about $1 more than the ones I usually bought, but it works SO WELL. I dont accidentally spray my beardie directly and make him angry like the last “misting” bottle I had.

He finally accepts the misting!.

First time using major body paint. Was recommended this brand from numerous professional cosplayers. Was thoroughly impressed with the quality, the coverage, the ease of use. Paired with the sealant spray and setting powder.

Held up pretty well for a full day of convention. 6-7am paint went on, 8-9pm washed paint off. Contact points started to fade throughout the day. (Underarms, fingers, bangles on my arms, etc. But some of that I attribute to my inexperience.

) Overall extremely happy with the quality. Will recommend and use again.

I bought this and the black version for a costume and to try some fun liner looks– it was definitely way more product than I needed, but it should last awhile so I’m fine with that. I have tested it with both water and with Mehron’s mixing liquid and though both went on smoothly, the mixing liquid definitely stayed on longer and kept a crisper line.

My tip for using this product is to GO SLOW and let things dry between switching colors/adding more product. It takes a little more finesse to apply, but once you get the hang of it I find I like it a lot more than other traditional eyeliners.

The Paradise AQ paint pots are really stunning. I’m a livestreamer who hosts body art streams online, and these paints have just blown my mind. The coverage is great, there’s minimal transfer (I would suggest a setting spray regardless, it helps!) and the pigments are SO so vibrant.

Even just the refill size pots are enough to cover my arms, chest, neck, and face with more to spare. It also doesn’t crack after drying on the skin. Love them!.

I really love flavored sparkling water like La Croix & the hibiscus flavor is my favorite. I was walking through Target today and saw these on sale. I had to grab some! I really love floral flavored things, so this was my absolute favorite.

Some of these reviews aren’t great because people don’t realize if the item has “rose” or “hibiscus” in it…it’s going to taste flowery. I enjoyed all flavors of this water & want to get more again! So refreshing and I recommend this if you have the flavor palette for it!.

I was excited to receive my ginger/lemon water but it tastes terrible- sorta like mud. The taste was also chalky tasting. I reached out to the company but have not received a response. I forgot to cancel the subscription but I did cancel today- the shipment that arrived today- damaged / the cartons were leaking water all over the box.

I had such high hopes for this brand of water. But – but this particular brand of water is not for me.

The LYT ph Alkaline water is refreshing, hydrates the body and taste yummy. I highly recommend this product for repeat purchase on Zulily. I also suggest that shipment boxes for water be sealed tightly with heavy duty tape to help prevent potential damage in transit to consumers.

I was so pleasantly surprised. I am a confessed ‘water snob’ and won’t get near a lot of the commercial bottled water on the market. However, it is summertime and I like to drink water with electolytes.

keeps a body hydrated. A plus is the high/PH-Alkaline it contains. Tastes great! I will be buying more.

I order this water a lot. I am on medication that causes dehydration resulting in muscle cramps in my legs. Since I’ve been drinking this water I am amazed to say I stay hydrated with no leg cramps. The taste is so clean and clear and is recommended for everyone.

apparently having some issues, man. I hate to say. I have left two bad reviews today, already, but they are warranted, unfortunately. Good on the bottle: This water bottle is so necessary because most big cities don’t have the correct procedures when it comes to water treatment plants.

Things are added to the water without the public’s consent. Having a Brita water bottle you can carry around with you is much healthier than just drinking straight up tap water. Bad: For some reason, mine did not include a filter.

I had to buy them separately. Also bad: When I started using it, there was a hole that let water drip out all over my face. I wouldn’t really have cared, but I had this Tervis that I had to use for years that did this to me, because someone misplaced or threw away the lining, and I was just not having that situation again.

Sorry. So, I had to buy Krazy glue somewhere else (Target did not have the right kind of super glue) and fix it myself. I didn’t return it because like I mentioned before, it is super important to have filtered water.

Just know: you will want to include Krazy super glue in your cart for this item, unless you live in a super hot climate and just enjoy water all over your face as you drink. Maybe if I lived somewhere else… ;).

I bought this water bottle to filter the water from the shared cooler at work, primarily because it tasted stagnant, likely from not being used much during the pandemic. This water bottle removed the weird taste and makes me feel a lot better about using the water cooler.

As some reviews have mentioned, you have to suck on the straw with some force in order to pull the water through the filter. It was a little annoying to get used to, but now that I’m 2 months in to using the water bottle, the straw doesn’t bother me anymore.

I haven’t had any mold issues as some reviews have mentioned. I clean all the components (except for the filter) in the dishwasher weekly. I even put the bottle on the bottom rack since it won’t fit on the top, and it’s held up just fine.

I still prefer my 1 liter Nalgene, but for situations where I can’t control the water source, the Brita water bottle makes sense. I have to refill it much more often because of it’s small size, but it’s worth it for the peace of mind.

I have purchased both the blue and pink 32oz bottles and the blue 20oz bottle for my son to have at school. I have had both 32oz bottles for about a year and never had an issue. People are mentioning mold and the mouthpiece getting gross or dirty.

This is completely on the bottle user. Anything that stays wet and has moisture will grow mold. common sense, allow it to dry. -The sucking pressure needed for water is not that bad, you get used to it.

*double check your filter tube is locked into place, my son complained he couldn’t suck water but that was because he did not lock the filter tube into place. -Wash your bottle daily, especially mouthpiece.

If for some reason you can I suggest soaking mouthpiece in soapy hot water once a week and allowing to dry out. -Let your bottle and all components dry out completely at least every two days. *My only complaint is there are no replacements for the mouth piece i myself can order.

Naturally over time it will get some discoloration even when cleaned properly. I have reached out to Brita and I am going to be receiving replacements*.

I have a lot of orchids and have been feeding them with this liquid feed for years. It lasts ages as you only need a few drops in the water. My orchids seem to like it as they flower each year. Also use Orchid focus Grow.

This was a good bargain ,pleased with my purchase.

Been getting all the orchid focus products, bloom, grow and ultra for a few years now and they are the best out there! Im in the US and it cannot be found here, I order from UK. They know what orchids love! Tried other kinds, but they end up dying.

I have never noticed much growth on my orchids and other plants until I started using Orchid Focus. This is my 2nd bottle already. It is worth waiting for in my opinion. You will see your orchids really take off.
