20 Best Water Punching Bag (2022 Updated)

I purchased this bag and found it to be the best bag I have ever hit. It is kinder on my 63 year old shoulders, elbows and wrists. Don’t be fooled because its full of water that you cant get hurt hitting it hard.

One must still take the precautions of wrapping your wrists and concentrating on technic especially uppercuts to the bottom of the bag which is harder than the softer middle of the bag. My brother recommended this bag to me and I recommend it to all, young or old for either training purposes or just staying in shape.

After owning multiple heavy bags throughout the years, I will always say that Everlast is the way to go. The addition of this aqua bag is top notch. The feel of the bag is great for any workout. You can throw multiple punches and combinations and the movement stays minimal.

As long as your strike is true there isn’t any spin on the bag and the water content absorbs the strike and feels better on your hands and joints after the workout.

This bag is top notch all the way, from the way it looks to how it performs. You can hit it from any angle and won’t have to worry about injuring a wrist, yet its solid enough to really make you work.

I’ve got the 100lb version of this bag and its plenty heavy enough. I love the design of this bag, it allows you to throw uppercuts and body shots yet, its easy on the joints. Construction is very heavy duty.

This is a very quality bag! I immediately knew it when I began to fill the bag with old clothing and towels. I noticed that the stitching on the bag was well done with quality materials. I like the size of it which will allow me to take my training to the next level.

Tough construction, very solid bag so far especially for the price. I will say, you sacrifice cost for the labor to fill and hang the bag. It’s all about how you fill it, and I would recommend following Outslayer’s first suggestion – which is to fill it with old sheets/fabric.

I’ve read that you can acquire mass amounts of this from hotels who have sheets they are looking to throw away. Look into options but that one seems like it’ll be the best bet for getting the right consistency!.

This bag is a beast when packed tight, mine is about 220 lbs. It is amazing for kicks, knees, and elbows. We will see how it holds up, but I have hit this bag hard and it seems to be sturdy. I would give 5 stars if I had more time on the bag.

I would say to disregard any of the negative reviews about this bag, saying it’s flimsy. I almost steered clear of it for that reason until I checked exactly which heavy bags we have at my MMA school and many of them are these models.

Yes, they’re softER than some bags could be, but they’re definitely up to par for real training. My guess is that whoever rated them as flimsy got a misfire bag, which could happen 1 out of a few hundred with any brand.

I haven’t broken mine in yet but when it arrived I was actually surprised that it was even stiffer than the ones we have at the MMA gym. I would definitely recommend this bag.

Do you have a stack of unused or worn out T-shirts? Put them to good use by filling up this bag. You can fit up to 40 pounds of clothes into it, and hit the heck out of this bag. It is made of heavyweight material that will take punches and kicks easily.

I do not recommend hitting it with unpadded wooden weapons since it will tear. The bag is filled with clothes as you push down onto it with a broomstick or rounded, blunt object to minimize air and extra space.

It hangs easily onto a bag station. I hit these with my bare fists, palm heel strikes, backhands, and various kicks without injury or pain. It’s a well made system that saves you money on shipping a heavy bag.

Particularly for my fellow military veterans (I’m prior US Navy, Commander, O-5) and active duty who have to move or pack light. It makes for a great portable method for training. It makes for a great lightweight bag for practicing boxing or martial arts such as Kung Fu, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, etc.

Don’t be swayed by all the negative reviews regarding shipping issues with this product. I bought this from the local Dick’s store so I could check out the quality and also to avoid having any delivery issues with missing boxes.

(I will say that even the local employees had trouble making sure both boxes were together when purchased so Dick’s needs to fix this issue. ) For someone looking for recreational use to mix up workouts in winter weather during COVID, this combo set is a home run and great value.

You can purchase these pieces separately or get an infilled bag cheaper but on sale the convenience factor is unbeatable. Very easy to put together and quality construction. The heavy bag and speed bag can both be adjusted to accommodate multiple heights.

Bag feels great and when not hooked, the stand can be moved around to the ideal location. The one thing multiple reviews pointed out is that if you are putting in work, you will want to put some plates on to help weight the system down.

Even with light use you can feel the stand move a bit when hitting the heavy bag. I had some 35 pound plates and makes a big difference. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase, if quality holds up it will have been a home run purchase.

Great box But Super Noisy bolt joints. The size of the hole to fill the base with water is fine, but if choosing sand, its an absolute nightmare. On a design standpoint, i cant fathom why the hole is made so small.

Bigger hole and bigger cap would make it so much easier and more friendly to empty and fill. Bit the biggest issue so far is what they don’t show in the youtube videos, the squeek noise of it swinging back and forth after every single punch.

The joints are just dreadful. Hes great to punch with, fantastic even, but the noise is almost Unbearable.

I bought this as a birthday present for my 11 year old son. He and my older son use it quite a bit. It set up easily and is pretty sturdy. The instructions recommend using three each 25 pound weights at each anchor point to further anchor the stand.

This won’t be necessary for my 11 year old, but my high school son moves it quite a bit especially with leg kicks. I am disappointed that this was not communicated on the packaging. I cannot speak to the longevity of the product as we have only had it set up for 2 weeks but so far so good!.

This bag is absolutely amazing. It’s heavy but not overly heavy. It has a good weight to it. I absolutely love the length, to where I can kick it, hit it with my knee, etc. I can see this bag lasting throughout the years.

it is just soo heavy duty. I am including this punching bag in my workout regimen. I am thrilled to use this in my workouts. My husband was excited as well.

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. I’ve been kick boxing the last several years at a local gym and this bag does not disappoint. It’s hung from the ceiling though and not sure if there is a way to mount it to a base.

The bags weight is good and perfect if you are looking to do kickboxing for fun.

I wish Rival sold these Aqua Heavy bags years ago. After owning and using countless heavy bags from a variety of manufactures both at home and at the gym, I can honestly say that the Aqua heavy bag is one of the best single boxing items I have ever used.

I have recently started using the 18inch bag and it is amazing to say the least. The water content absorbs the shock of the punch, lessening the actual shock on the hand and joints as well as preventing the bag from moving much at all.

In fact, the bag moves as if it is a 200lbs monster. The feeling of punching the the thick rubber bladder is quite different than a traditional heavy bag and placing the bag into proper position and filling it is a breeze.

But be warned, do not place the bag filled. Moving this bag is extremely difficult when filled and it becomes shockingly heavy in a short period of time. Weighing in at over 120lbs in such a small compact package, gives it quite a heavy feeling without the shock on the hands and joints.

The outer shell in extremely strong and other than cutting it open with a sharpe knife, the shell appears built like armour. As is usual with Rival, shipping is very quick and ordering the bag is simple.

Only used for a couple of rounds, but definitely love it. Great hybrid between double-end bag and heavybag – you can work on accuracy and power at the same time. Great bag for creating monster jabs. You will definitely need wraps and gloves for this, it’s got a harder surface than you think – and since it’s heavy and the 12″/9″ bags swing a lot, watch your head when it swings back at you – it’ll knock you out if.

It’s forgiving enough that it shouldn’t hurt your hands or rotator cuff. I have the 12″, which I’m commenting on, and the 18″ but haven’t used the 18 yet. Get a chain/rope that will handle 4 times the full weight of the bag.

Much quieter than a heavybag, depending on the sound your gloves make. No reason you can’t hang a 9″ or 12″ in an apartment without making too much noise.

We just recently purchased the aqua bag and mounting system. We have tried several bags previously and nothing compares to the aqua bag. If you are using ina basement I would highly recommend the mounting system Rival has.

It dampens the vibration and sound so it doesn’t feel like your house is coming down. If you are in the market for a punching bag – I highly recommend the aqua bag!.

I’ve had many bags, most were good, but this one is unique. I’m older and I can hit this one as hard as I can, it has just the right amount of give. It doesn’t aggravate my arthritis. One of my favorites.

We ordered this product mid-January 2022. It worked great for our boxing gym; however, a tiny hole developed, and it began to leak. We are currently waiting for someone from the website to respond to my “Contact Us” request in order to follow up with warranty.

For the reviews that were” bolts are rusting ” I would ask where are you storing it? Is it somewhere with moisture? Is it somewhere that gets wet and then dry? Is it in a place where maybe, just maybe, rusting would happen on metal ? Is it that practicing hitting a fake body, that shakes on the bolts that are holding it together, might wear on the bolts that are holding it together.

Could it also be due to a situation similar to those that complain about splits in the body like “After 1-3 years of punching and kicking an object in the same places (habit /comfort) it started to split”.

could it be considered “wear and tear” at this point? After PUNCHING AND KICKING an object? Bags also suffer the same.

I purchased Bob after about my 3rd time to this store, almost buying him, and deciding he was a bit too costly for what it was. this is an absolute mistake. The price is the quality- simply said. I have at my home a traditional heavy bag, which I still enjoy and use, but BOB takes this to another level; for one, if you use water (which I recommend) Bob is very versatile.

On nice hot sunny days I will take Bob outside and get a brutally sunny workout then clean him off, drain him out, and bring him back inside. Heavy bags are fixed to the ceiling or stands. BOB’s material will sweat with you, literally, and he will become more slippery are the fight goes on and realistically harder to maintain your clinches and add that little extra sting to your skin when hitting.

BOB also has perfect details like his little protruding solar plexus which allows you to really aim at things unlike a leather bag. He also moves much more and gives you the realistic feeling of your target giving in to your punches a bit more, moving away and then back toward you, and you’ll even miss quite a lot if you are actually sparring him like a heavy bag (also realistic).

It’s been about 3 years since I purchased Century BOB XL. I got 5 of them for my dojo. Just recently some white “stuff” started to come out from the bottom of the torso where it slides onto the base.

It’s not a fully sealed unit, you can see the inner fill from the bottom At first I thought it was dust forming around the base, but after detailed inspection I found out that the inside fill material (foam) starts disintegrating from heavy use.

Now we have to vacuum after each use. I guess BOB is now dieting and losing weight. When filled with water it easily slides around and can be knocked down with heavy kicks. Filling it with sand can be time consuming and unpractical unless you never plan to move.

The rubber skin seems to be holding up very well. It’s an OK value for a free-standing bag. It doesn’t exactly substitute a heavy-bag but nevertheless, it is a great tool for training striking/kicking accuracy or speed, human-like shape really facilitates targeting.

It is easy to set up. I would only recommend this product for home use or strictly targeting tool, not for professional heavy use.

2 Stars because: presented as the best heavy bag (standing) for Thai and Kickboxing. It`s not! This item is NOT suitable for Kicktraining Kickboxing or Thai Boxing!!! Surface and “Filling” much to weak.

And even when it`s filled with water (wich is recommended by the producer) it moves and shakes around terribly. For Kids OK! But to be honest not for 359 USDollars! That is a cheek towards customers.

I researched the hell out of bags before I decided on this one. I watched video clips of people comparing bags who were completely UNbiased in their reviews. I held out for a while because of the price but I have to say.

buy it! It is solid, sturdy, well made, easy to move into place-depending on how much water or sand you use. I used about 120lbs of dry sand as recommended. I’m female, 51 years old, 5’3″ about 110 lbs so 120lbs of sand works fine for now.

It’s easy enough to add more. I smack and kick the crap out of this bag and I LOVE IT!!! I had a hanging bag and it could be difficult to execute certain moves, especially kicks. I felt like I was kicking concrete.

I workout with Cathe, Michelle Dozois, Mike Donovanik and others at an advanced level. I have Susan Chung’s workouts that include heavy bag work. This bag is great for all my boxing and kickboxing workouts.

The base is nice for tricep dips & push-ups too. This bag can take a pretty decent beating. No buyers regret!.

So, I bought the on cyber Monday half off. Coming from a hanging bag, I had my doubts. It does move a fair amount and it could be kicked over if a person is trying to do so. For my use, not a big deal.

For kicks, it’s way more approachable than a bag stand and takes up a lot less room. Pretty easy to scoot it out into the center of the garage. If you want to straight box, maybe not for you. If you want kicks with decent contact, it’s good.

As a bonus, the box it comes in fits nicely as a cover.

What sold me on getting this bag was the free shipping. Titan advertises the bag at 78 lbs but it does feel like it weights less. Overall its a decent bag but like the review above, it settles quickly and there are already flat spots on it.

Overall for the price, I would recommend paying about $50 more and getting a wrecking ball bag from Nazo Boxing or Ringside. Also keep in mind that some boxing companies sell on Amazon and you get free shipping.

I do want Titan to continue exploring the boxing market. I wish they had their rack mounted speed bag platform still.

I have worked out in boxing gyms and now work out inside of a home gym with tons of fixings. this bag is great for its size and purpose and price. The only thing it might be lacking is the density. As we have used it for a couple months now it has begun to settle down and down the road we might need to add so more sand into it for its shape.

Other than that I look forward to punching it everyday!.

It is advertised as a 125 lbs bag. But it is actually a 100 lbs bag. I am disappointed and will be returning.

This is the bag I used while trainig at my old Muay Thai gym; I was with the gym for three years and the bag was there the whole time! This bag was beat on, not gently I might add, for about 3 hours a day by several poeple and it was still solid! I wasnt sure what the brand was so I had to contact the gym but Im glad to have found it again.

Love the fact its inexspensive too! Will be using it in my home.

Bag is good quality. Although does state that comes already stuffed with shock-absorbent pulp. The pulp is in fact shredded clothing so stuffed old school way. It doesnt really matter but they should maybe reword it.

Also like a lot of very products can be bought cheaper if look online. People are Down voting this as it doesn’t come with a chain but if you dont read the product clearly then thats not their fault.

Arrived in excellent condition. Very impressed with the feel, quality and design of this heavy bag. It’s definitely made to take a beating. The chains and the solid chain attachments make this heavy bag superior to those with straps IMO.

Bought for my wife to relieve stress, but my two teenage boys and I have been the only ones to actually use it so far. The gloves are excellent in my opinion, as they cushion the hits to the bag extremely well.

I punch the bag bare fisted as well with no problems, but the gloves definitely provide far more support for the wrists that you’ll never achieve without them and enable one to deliver more punishment to the bag without the risk of bruised hands or wrists.

The gloves are L/XL in size. I wear a L/XL depending on the glove and they fit me well, but just a tad snug for my personal taste. No wrist wraps needed with these gloves IMO. It’s definitely an excellent beginner bag or for someone looking to put in some serious bag work.

I wouldn’t classify it as an elite pro level bag, but even a pro would enjoy this bag I believe.

The punch bag is good quality nice & heavy so it doesnt sway much when you hit it. They only problem is the fixing bolts that are supplied with the wall bracket there very cheap quality and dont really support the bag properly.

I had to purchase my own separately. Overall a good purchase for the price.

The red seam started to tear the first 5 minutes I used it. A lot smaller than I thought, probably should mention that this works better for kids. I used the stuffing and sand bag that came from my old bag but it’s not as heavy because it only used up half of the stuffing/sand bag so it’s not as great for kicking and hard punches as it just swings around all over the place.

Otherwise, the bag seems pretty solid and price was not too bad. I’ll just set this one up for the kids to practice on.

This is a good bag. I spent a few days shredding about 80lbs of old clothes to fill it. I put a plastic garbage bag liner and just kept stuffing it, (a good shop scissor is essential for shredding clothes, btw) The bag comes with a lot of chain, so it hangs low for my taste.

I had to buy a caribiner that fits through the chains so I could hang each at the fourth chain link. that picked it up to the right height. Overall, a good, sturdy bag.

Bag is good size. Packed with clothes, it might weigh 50 lbs. The bag is white canvas with a black ring at the top, zippered top allows for easy filling. Easily filled it with old clothes, blue jeans, denim shirts and cotton T-shirts.

Clothes pack and settle so adding more via the top is great. Have had the bag in use about a week and it seems durable. Got this for a teenager with ‘issues’ and it has helped deter him from hitting other objects.

Did not come with the gloves listed. I had to contact the seller to get them. The bag shipped fast, under a week, the gloves shipped slow, a week and a half. The bag’s vinyl is tearing away from the canvas with 3 uses, but I figured I was going to have to patch it with duct tape when I first saw it.

I put 9 pairs of cut up old jeans in it and it weighs 21 pounds, after they compressed there is room for probably 5 or 6 more pairs. Overall it is worth the 20 dollar price. Mostly just annoyed that the gloves didn’t come with the bag in the first place.

Long chains with unquestionably rough welds. Rudimentary swivel, works. I filled my with clothing and I ended up with a nice lumpy bag. I would not suggest completely filling it with sand. I filled and stuffed it until I had a 70lb bag, I don’t know what I will add to the center/core with to add extra weigh, maybe a cylindrical bag of sand to bring it up to 85 lbs.

with the old cloths surrounding it. Certainly a good deal when you can find it as inexpensive as I did. Don’t buy those cheap red bags, buy one of these canvas ones. 4/5 stars.

I bought my Century BOB Body Opponent Bag several months back and absolutely love it. I waited for a sale as I could not afford full retail price and luckily I was able to get $100. 00 off of retail price.

I taught beginners martial arts years ago and trained Police Rookies in Self Defense as well as competed several years in competition. BOB is as close to a real human being as you can get. When you deliver a punch or kick to his face, head, neck, and body core area it feels so close to the real thing that I have actually apologized to BOB.

I do suggest getting some light weight kickboxing padded training gloves that are used for heavy weight punching bag and speed bag training, this way you have padding for your hands and the gloves also help protect from injuries and skin abrasions.

Assembly of BOB is fairly easy by yourself if you use a punch type tool to line up the holes the screws and washers go in. It takes some stretching to assemble all of the hardware but just remember to not tighten down all of the screws and washers until you have them all inserted into the predrilled holes, this way it makes for easier alignment of all the screws.

I suggest using sand that you can get at your local home improvement center, get the cleaned sand and fill up the base. Using water can cause flooding if Bob springs a leak, and it will cause algae buildup even if you add some household bleach, so stick with the precleaned sand.

BOB looks so real sometimes when coming out of my bedroom with the lights off and the street light shining through the blinds in the room where Bob is, I have to take a second look and say oh man, that is just BOB, BOB you scared the mess out of me.

Going three minute rounds with BOB will improve your cardiovascular system tremendously and if you try to go full speed, you are guaranteed to lose weight. You will be surprised in as little as a couple of weeks to a month, your punching and kicking speed, and accuracy will increase.

If you have a problem with balance throwing your kicks, place your hand onto the wall or anything you can use to help support your balance, a chair, stool, etc. , little by little your balance will improve to the point that you will not need any support.

BOB is a great workout partner and I promise you can drastically improve your overall fitness level if you commit to working out with BOB starting out with just five to fifteen minutes a day. The great thing with BOB is you don’t have to lift any heavy weights like in the gym, so there is a lot less risk of injury to your body.

Give BOB a try, I used one years ago and got in a terrible auto accident to where I was not even allowed to workout with five pounds until a year had past and I have permanent injuries that don’t allow me to lift heavy weights, do flying spin around kicks, etc.

, so I have to take it extremely easy on my body and Bob allows me to do this. You can work at your own pace and strike with the amount of force that is comfortable to you. You do not have to be a Boxing Champion, Karate Champ, or a MMA Champ to get the full benefits out of working out with BOB, go at your own pace, stay relaxed and increase your speed and power when you feel like you are ready to.

Go into the store, look BOB in the eyes, and throw a punch or two at him and see how you like it. BOB will be your workout partner and friend for life. I highly recommend training with BOB for men, women, and children of all ages.

To provide context, I am a 17-stone heavyweight so I needed a sturdy bag which was suitable for big punchers. With the current circumstances, I bought this bag so I could do some training. The bag is overall very good.

It’s solid, sturdy and rock hard to hit. My biggest drawback is the bag is advertised as not-to-tear, but first use there was a small tear in the bag. Despite that, very impressed with the bag. Great for people seriously into boxing; price was reasonable.

For the price this is well worth it. Needed something for a bit of cardio, I’m not a boxer or even close. The bag seems well made, bit soft in the top third of the bag and super firm down through the rest, probably due to the filling type ( have not looked inside) and packing down due to weight.

The gloves to me are pure trash, ordered some gloves separate from the combo which is why I’m deducting a star.

**Review on the 70lb bag** My husband and I aren’t traditional gift givers and with that being said, he got me this heavy bag as a kit (gloves, tape, and setup included) for Valentine’s Day 2022 and did not disappoint.

I use it 3-4 days a week and has stayed in tact even after my 220lb husband used it a couple of times. Easy to assemble/disassemble and a great option for those looking for different workout options!.

Trying to stay more active as a family and it variety to my younger children so that they can make it a part of their every day routines. This is a study bag. It was so heavy, I felt sorry for the delivery driver.

We purchased some boxing gloves and practice hitting it (with someone holding it steady) however, I think I was a little impulsive because I need to purchase either a stand or have a professional come and hang it from a break/stud in my garage.

I can’t wait until I can use this at its full potential. It really helps relieve stress.

Loved the concept. Beautiful bag. Great workout using mitt work. Used roughly for less then a month- 6 days a week with about an hour and a half of use between 2 people with breaks in between. And the one side of the stitching started to come undone and the entire strap snapped.

First a problem with everlast mitts and now the bag. Is it defective? Bad brand? Company cheaped out due to the pandemic? Disappointed!!! Adults use the bag with no kids in the household. So it’s not mishandled.

Son has been using 4 or 5 times a day for 2 weeks and so far so good. The bag is holding up great. Issues we are having have nothing to do with the bag (hung from finished garage and when kicked hard it rattles parts of house).

Again, nothing to do with the bag.

Can’t find a 100lb heavy bag that is quality for around $100 anywhere else. Add free shipping? Yeah it’s a steal. Zero signs of wear and tear. If you don’t have a mount like I do, get one before you buy.

Haven’t had a kicking bag in the longest so this was a huge find. Great quality and can take all the punishment I dish out. Fantastic for cardio and leg work.

These things are awesome! You can adjust the bag for faster or slower movement by simply changing the elastic ropes. Because of the stretchy bands and air bladders inside, you don’t need gloves (although I recommend 16oz gloves once you get the hang of it to develop lightning fast hand speed), and you can train with it day after day without wrecking your shoulders and elbows like you would on a heavy bag.

Recommend wrapping the wrists though as you can still generate enough impact to sprain them. Also does not rattle the whole house when using. I anchor mine to the floor just by attaching two 35 pound plates, using the orange resistance ropes.

The bag is absolutely awesome and lightning fast, after you replace the atrociously cheap black bladder. That’s why the 4 stars. The orange title replacement bladder is the fastest, but pops way too easy.

Put in the smallest everlast bladder, a little slower but lasts forever. I don’t get why title would sell the best bags with the worst bladders installed. I also own the 5×8 yellow title and this bag is just as small and nearly as fast.

It’s just a little rounder.

Works well. Best for beginners because the return is slow and will help with reflex reaction. Just make sure to wear gloves because the title patch on the bag is ruff and sharp and it will cut you. Other than that it works well.

Big difference from using conventional punching bags it’s alot quieter !! Less impact on wrist. Easy to install. I have a regular punching bag on a spring in my garage spring to adsorb shock but it’s no where near as quite as this water punching bag.

I hanged this bag on a spring and it’s super quite you can work out at night u won’t be keeping anybody up.

Bought this bag because I have had chronic hand problems and figured the water would be more giving. It is great to hit and is a lot more realistic than a typical bag but the exterior is quite hard surface.

If you are going to buy make sure you have a quality glove 16 oz or bigger. I’ve talked to others who have got the smaller sizes and said they have found them just as hard. Hopefully in the next models they can make some kind of foam exo layer.
