20 Best Waterpik For Travel (2022 Updated)

I wanted to purchase a second water flosser for travel and a second location. I like my Water Pik and decided to stay with the brand after reading many reviews for other flossers. It is compact making it easy to pack for traveling and takes up less space on my sink top.

The on/off switch on the handle works easier than my previous one. Some reviewers were concerned about the open top but it’s not an issue. It’s only open while flossing and then it’s dried out and turned over as a cover.

This makes it compact. I’m very happy with this purchase.

I have long been an ardent fan of water pik flossers. I find my sink top flosser to be great for working beneath my lower bridge work, cleaning gum pockets and general in between teeth flossing. The Nano Plus is meant to be a smaller travel unit which provides the same efficiency with less bulk on trips away from the larger units.

I used my Nano Plus daily for a week. I was impressed with the Nano Plus power despite its smaller size. The controls are adequate, but take getting used to. The smaller open top one minute of water tub does not seem adequate for my flossing routine and I had to refill it each time after the first use of the evening.

The compact size and weight may be helpful but I don’t think it makes it a “can’t live without it” on short trips of the sort I might take. It might be useful to me if I worked or stayed away from home regularly for weeks or more at a time.

The lighter materials gave the unit less stability in my mind and it tipped on occasion when I wasn’t paying attention. I did not have the problem of water spraying from the open top that others seemed to experience.

All in all I cannot see this unit filling anything but a small niche in travel flossing.

Let me start by saying that my husband an I each have a Water Pik flosser, so this may be a biased review. The size is nice in that it doesn’t take as much counter space, and would be more convenient for travel.

The water dispenser, likewise, is smaller so I have to refill it to complete cleaning upper and lower teeth. Some users might not bother to refill it resulting in incomplete cleaning. There is no lid for the water container so care must be taken to rinse It out several times before each use and not to accidentally knock anything into the open container.

Being used to the swivel mechanism on the handle to direct the angle of the tip on the flosser model, I found that having to stop the machine, pop out the pic, and readjust the direction is a bit inconvenient.

Overall, if it is considerably less expensive than the larger model, it may entice more purchases. It is effective, just not as convenient as the flosser. Thank you.

My new dentist informed me of his recommended way to keep debris out of receding gums and keep teeth cleaner using a water flosser/irrigator. When his assistant came to speak with me she suggested a cordless model to use on vacation and in the shower.

I didnt know of any aside from the original, WaterPik. When I researched online I saw the AquaSonic. The AquaSonic price is about half the cost of the original. So far, its amazing. Yes, it has to be refilled more frequently than a corded model but, for me, I believe its well-worth this slight inconvenience.

I use it daily and have it next to my electric toothbrush. Ive only had it about a week but it kept running for almost a week without a recharge. Everything you need is included. I cannot determine how long it will perform but it feels pretty well constructed.

The battery life will be the real test of time. I would recommend this model to anyone looking for a portable/cordless water flosser.

My dentist suggested I get a waterpik to clean around some older crowns. I selected this cordless one because I thought it would be easier to not have the water tube between the appliance and the mouthpiece.

What I failed to consider was that I’d be maneuvering the entire appliance around my mouth! I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it eventually. Currently I have problems shifting from one side to the other and the front of my teeth to the back.

If I was doing it again I probably would start with a countertop unit. It might be difficult with the countertop unit but maybe a little less cumbersome! Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll be looking back and wondering how I could have been so awkward! It does leave my teeth feeling clean (and the bathroom mirror and everything else I accidently spray!).

The Waterpik Water flosser is not great. I bought it to replace an old Oral-B Braun Professional Care Oxyjet Irrigator, and it seems like a huge step backward. Because the whole Waterpik unit is held in your hand, it’s heavy, bulky, and slow to move, which means you can’t get good aim at your gum-line and between your teeth.

If you can’t aim it then you can’t clean your teeth effectively. And there’s only two pressure settings: high and low (too low). The water tank is so small it runs out after a few seconds. It feels like a bad design all-round.

On the other hand, the Oral-B Irrigator Oral-B Oxyjet has a dial so you can adjust the strength smoothly, its nozzle is simple to aim because it’s on a flexible hose and weighs very little, and the water-tank is large enough that you can get through your whole teeth-cleaning process in one go.

I have had two Waterpik cordless flosses in the past. I loved them both, but lost them in a series of moves. I received the Watepik water Flosser, and it is a worths successor to my previous ones. The flosser is great feeling in the hand, smaller than my past two.

The quality is great, feels solid. I have used it for two weeks now, and have charged it once. The tips are the typical quality WaterPik, and very efficient to use. The 4 included tips work very well.

The flossier is very quiet. Most importantly is does a fantastic job cleaning. It hold 45 seconds of water, which was perfect for me. I used regular floss after using the flosser, and it came out clean.

I have a full sized Waterpik, and two Waterpik shower heads, and they are all of the highest quality.

I could not give this a very good review. Of all the Waterpik products I’ve used, this one was disappointing. The unit stands on the sink counter. People w/small countertops (mine) = a problem because cord becomes a tether.

The water reservoir is small capacity & a bit difficult to fill. Only 2 ‘speed’ settings. The entire device must be held to be operated-it is clumsy & cumbersome – a detachable unit with a ‘dock’ for charging would be better design.

It must be held ONLY in upright position making access to inner tooth surfaces difficult. Positives: Full charge lasts for more than 1 use. High Waterpik quality. Design flaws were only drawbacks for me.

I still like & trust Waterpik products.

This cordless flosser is a nice improvement if you already use the bigger non-cordless ones or looking for a new water flosser. Much more convenient that the string flossers and leaves mouth with freshness.

The portable one is convenient and I’m still running with the initial charge, it is about a week with 6 uses and still going strong. Easier to hold and maneuver the tip inside the mouth. If you are a first time user, it take couple of times to not spill water all over.

Water reservoir seems small, I always end up refilling to complete my flossing. But I guess bigger reservoir will make it heavier. No complaints.

“Cordless” means 3 AA batteries which lasted longer than I expected considering it’s quite the mechanical pumping operation going on (a month and a half). You can tell when the batteries are getting weak as the pulse speed slows and the power notably weakens.

I have not tried and do not know if rechargeable AAs will work in this unit. Cordless also means there’s no hose connecting the unit to a bulky reservoir taking up precious bathroom counter space – but a bulkier self-contained, hand-held unit with built in reservoir.

The high power setting is quite a blast and may be too much for some, or at least your gums may require a few days to acclimate at the lower setting first as did mine. If you use the high power setting and don’t move with some speed, you may need to refill before finishing a full upper and lower, back and front blast, but regardless, it seems to be effective.

Water flossers are generally messy, splattering water and loosened food particles all over bathroom sink and mirror. The greatest bonus of this model is that you can use it in the shower where splatter “don’t” matter and your oral excavations just go down the drain.

Note: fill ‘er up with hot water from sink or tub before starting shower. It’s a pain to fill the reservoir from shower spray (or at least it is from whatever setting our shower head is on). Note also while the cordless frees you from the comparative bulk of a counter-top model with it’s electric cord and hose connecting the hand-held to the reservoir (this is a BIG bonus in our virtually-no-counter space bathroom), it may be too tall to fit in many medicine cabinets with the head attached with the roughly 2″ head attached, which makes it just about 1’ tall.

Without the Pik head attachment, the unit stands at just under 10 inches tall, a fraction shorter than our electric toothbrush. The unit comes with several interchangeable head attachments, which easily detach with the press of a button.

I keep mine on top shelf of a shower caddy, so height is not a problem. Recommended by my dental hygienist to help compensate for my slack flossing habits, I hope to report improved oral health and hygiene at my next dental cleaning.

All in all, I’m quite satisfied with product and performance.

This is my first time using a Water Pik. This model is compact but requires me to refill the “tank” 3-4x in order to go over every surface. Despite that, this is still faster than traditional flossing, and it feels cleaner.

I guess I will find out at my next dental appointment. Overall, it has been a good experience so far.

Overall it works great and is easy to use, but there are some drawbacks. The battery is the biggest outlier, since it needs an odd number of cells that you need to provide yourself and there’s no charger.

So far, it doesn’t seem this really takes up that much power, but for how expensive this product typically is, I would expect a charger. I also would prefer a toggle button rather than a switch to turn it on, and, I think the switch would make more sense on the opposite side of the device.

Your mouth fills up with water pretty fast and if you just drool like Waterpik implies you should do, you drool all over the device. This could be easily fixed with a push-button where it only applies the jet when you’re ready Other than those 2 things, this works very well.

It works better than classical floss, using it doesn’t hurt, it’s faster to use, and the water tank it provides is sufficient for everyday use. I’d recommend getting one of the newer models, which seem to address my issues.

I purchased the Waterpik WP-560 on the recommendation from my dentist. Have never used a waterpik in the past I was very open minded. I read lots of reviews to kind of get an idea what I might be in for.

Most all of the other reviews are correct. The self contained unit is quite balky, especially for my wife with smaller hands. Definitely doesn’t hold near enough water. To do all of my teeth adequately I have to fill the reservoir 3 times.

Being that it’s SO messy to use, I get in the shower to blast my teeth. The positive thing about this unit is, it does the job!! My teeth feel much cleaner after brushing and using it, than just flossing and bushing.

My dentist should be tickled now because I’m doing all 3. Floss, brush, then hose everything out with the waterpik. I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending to family and friends, because of the hassles to use I mentioned above.

I upgraded to the Waterpik Advanced from the Waterpik Cordless Plus and I’m super happy with my purchase. I’ve had my last one for about 2. 5 years and my biggest gripe was that according to the instructions, the battery degrades much quicker than the advanced version and you were meant to charge it after each use (which means it basically was supposed to be on charge all the time).

The best thing I like about this new model is that there is a batter indicator and the battery is supposed to be much better quality so you don’t have to put it on charge as much, and it doesn’t need to leave the bathroom as it charges with a shaver plug instead of a wall one.

It’s a pretty significant price difference but I use my Waterpik twice a day so when you split that up into how often you use it over the years, you end up still spending probably less than if you’re buying floss sticks.

I have fixed retainers so the Waterpik is great for getting around them too. Definitely recommend a Waterpik in general even if you go for the next model down, but this model is excellent and I still think for the quality it’s definitely worth the money.

The Pik Pocket tip that I ordered separately sometimes falls off, I think from the antibacterial mouthwash I use (active ingredient is Cetylpyridinium chloride). I was told that air bubbles can cause the tip to eject, and the mouthwash does get bubbly.

Eventually, after attempting to use it several times and pouring water into the tip port, without the tip, in an attempt to clean it, the Pik Pocket tip will stay in. I read somewhere in Waterpik’s literature that non-alcoholic mouthwash should work, but in my opinion, it works so poorly when the Pik Pocket tip is used due to the required cleaning procedure to prevent the tip from falling out that they should alert customers to this issue.

I suggested a latch in addition to the current locking mechanism to assure the tip won’t come out. Also, maybe Waterpik should consider making their own brand of non-alcoholic mouthwash without a foaming agent that will work with the Pik Pocket tip.

The requirement to line the battery cover gasket with petroleum jelly whenever the batteries are changed is annoying. Twice the cover couldn’t be opened by hand even after I turned it to the right position.

Maybe I needed to use more petroleum jelly those two times. The clearest design flaw may be that the water reservoir soon became impossible to put back on. Sometimes I remove it for a good cleaning and it has to be removed to change batteries.

Pressing it hard and even hitting the bottom wouldn’t work at one point. Then I discovered that a plastic piece that’s part of the white housing, that has to engage with the clear water reservoir, was positioned too far forward and the water reservoir couldn’t be pushed in far enough to engage.

I had to file down the front of that plastic piece and now it’s perfect.

I bought this water flosser and loved it. Told my Mom about it she wanted one so I bought her one also she loved it. But. I had it a little under a year and it stopped working so I took it back to Meijers and they let me get a re-placement.

Here I am again a little over a year and it stopped working again. I am so bummed was at Meijers last night and they do not carry this product anymore so I decided to look it up on your sight and see if there is something I can do to get it to work again? Found nothing since its been over a year (I think) you will not re-place it? I want another one but again if it stops working after a year it will be the 3rd one? I would recommend to a friend if it did not stop working.

Effective. The process to refill water chamber which must be done at least once each oral treatment cycle and is clumsy. It is clumsy as it requires detachment and reattachment of the chamber to body of device which is not a smooth operation.

I would suggest a port on side of water chamber to allow water to flow into chamber either from faucet or a small pour cup. The chamber could still be removable to facilitate cleaning. Aside from this detraction the unit provides good portable function and is operationally servicable.

I really liked this product! I have had a travel water flosser for a while now. The water reservoir was always too small. I had to refill it at least once before I felt like my teeth were flossed well.

This one has the perfect water capacity in the water chamber! I like the different settings that it has on it and it is easy to change and control. It is small, so it doesn’t take up too much space on my small counter top ( which was the main reason I went for the travel one and not the larger stand alone ones ).

The cord for the flosser itself is the perfect length. And the tips for the flosser are great! They pop in and out pretty easily! My only issue with this flosser is that the top of the water reservoir doesn’t have a cover.

Which, I get. Makes it better for storing ( flipping the chamber upside down and hanging over the unit. I guess it just kind of creeps me out knowing some kind of particles or something can get in there while I am flossing.

It’s not a deal breaker, just a personal thing I guess.

Love the size and the cleaning ability of this little waterpik. It replaced the previous WP-320 we had had for seven years without any problems. The rubber feet on this particular waterpik will not stay on.

We have had to screw them on several times in the few weeks we have had it. We finally just left them off.

Dental bridges collect and hold fragments that can cause havoc later. Cleaning bridges, and teeth in general, with toothpaste and toothbrush, mouthwash, between teeth brushes, and string floss removes much of the remnants but some tend to hide.

My first usage of the Waterpik WP-360 to expel the hiders became quite an interesting experience. The Quick Start Guide states to use lukewarm water; my water was far too cool as all sensitive teeth went wild when hit with the pulsating cold water from the high-pressure tip and, needless to say, water went everywhere.

But many more particles had been removed from between the bridge and gums. Subsequent usage two to three times daily has been with much warmer water and with the low-pressure tip, which should have been used the first time, according to the Quick Start Guide.

Five ounces of water in the reservoir seems to last longer with the blue low-pressure tip than with the clear high-pressure tip by my experiences. Tips can be changed easily so one water floss with a selected tip and 5 ounces of lukewarm water can be followed with the other tip and 5 more ounces of water for a sensational 1-minute cleaning at the gumlines.

Try this sometime, use the water flosser followed by string floss; you will be surprised by the difference between water and string floss results.

This is the first Waterpik I’ve ever owned. I was a bit skeptical of how well this would work to remove plague and tartar build up on my teeth as well as get into the little cracks and crevices where dental floss may not reach.

In the interest of full transparency, I have horrible teeth. I was never taught a good oral hygiene routine and never adopted one in my life. Now that most of my teeth are rotten and gone, I’m finally thinking that I better start taking care of what I got left although my goal is to eventually get implants.

I use a lot of that temporary dental filling sold OTC at most retailers. The Waterpik was so strong that it actually blew the Temparin fillings out of my teeth. It was so strong that it made my gums bleed (but not hurt) upon my first use.

This thing has great pressure and does an exceptional job of cleaning your teeth! I’ll never be able to live without it now. I bet this thing could almost peel the paint off your house! LoL. The water chamber could be a little bigger but it has enough to do one complete water flossing in one sitting.

and it’s very simple to add water to when necessary. All in all, I give it 5 out of 5 stars!.

This could be so much better if the manufacturer had just given a bit more thought to the design. It will work as a water flosser, but there are too many poorly handled details. 1-The water chamber has a flip down locking lid.

There is no way to leave it open between uses to allow the chamber to dry, and no way to stand it upside down to do so either. This is a mold situation in the making. 2-They had to compromise to keep weight and size down, and one of those things was no way to adjust the pressure of the unit-which is fine to me.

They include 2 tips, one hi, one low, to change the pressure, but they are not labeled and there is no explanation of which is which in the scant documentation. The pressure isn’t that different one to the other so it is impossible to know.

3-Lastly, there is no way to know the battery charge status. And when it is on the charger, there is no indication when it is fully charged. Just a ridiculous oversight in my view. $20 Amazon toys have more sophistication than this product.

Do not be confused, this is not a useless hand held Waterpik flosser. The hand held flosser (and I did the mistake) is for North America 110V use only. This one the 300 and I had many versions as it changed name, is small enough to be packed in a classic hand carried luggage.

Good size tank and works all over the world. (use can buy the model for kids: Waterpik Countertop Water Flosser For Kids WP-260) It is EXACTLY the same plus the decalc for kids. But it is also a 110/220v and works in China and Russia and Europe.

Do not hesitate buy one of this 2 for traveling. The Hand Held Flosser is uselss for me, not only because I travel, but the tank is toooo small, the little lid to close the tank not strong enough, you have to use at least 3 tanks to have a good cleanig.

I do not recommand the hand held flossers they must be improved.

I purchased the traveler for a trip I was taking over the Christmas and New Year holidays. The first time I used the device, it leaked all over the counter and soaked clothing that I had intended to wear that day.

The next time I get out the device for use, again the WP-300 flooded the counter with water. Save your money and do not buy the WP-300.

At first I was delighted to pick up and use for the first time a Waterpik. I opted for the cordless version since I live in a very, very small space and my bathroom countertop space is very limited. Overall it seemed like a good device.

One thing I noted and found unhelpful is that there is no indicator or gauge on the battery usage so you’re just guessing at how long to plug in your Waterpik. At any rate, it took some time to get used to using the Waterpik.

Be prepared to have a cleaning towel handy as water will spray everywhere if you’re not careful. Make sure you have your face tilted towards the sink bowl & keep your mouth fairly closed. I started using it from once every few days, then daily.

Then about two weeks ago the Waterpik stopped working. It just quit without any reason. I did an online search and there were suggestions to plug in and charge the whole unit overnight. That didn’t work.

And then I tried charging for a full 24 hours. And that still didn’t work. Believe me, I patiently tried this a few times over during the last week. It’s sad to say that I’ve wasted my time and money on this.

Likes: small footprint on counter; portable; might be good for travel; rechargeable,so no cords on counter; light weight; contoured so it is comfortable to hold; Issues: only two pressure settings; doesn’t hold enough water to do a thorough cleaning without refilling; I find it awkward to do outer and inner areas of mouth (easier to maneuver regular waterpik )however, After I have used it for a longer period of time I may become more adept at maneuvering it in my mouth ; would have been nice to have a warning light to tell you when fully charged or about to run out of “juice”; I have had for only 1 week, so will continue to use and hope to become more comfortable using it!.

I bought this to replace the phillips airfloss that I had for years which is easier to use than this waterpik. The waterpic I purchased did not work. I thought I was doing something wrong. I read the instructions, which must of been written by a lawyer.

No where in the manual did it say that turning the switch to on would make the water come out. The airfloss had an on switch and you pushed a button to make the water come out. Having the button makes the sonicare much easier to use.

After I returned the unit and got one that worked I found that I was very likely to turn off the switch after removing the waterpik from my mouth. The water went all over the room. I think this is why many of the reviewers use it in the shower.

I did not have this problem with the sonicare. It was much easier to find out that waterpik felt that I agreed to an arbitration agreement by buying their product than to find the instruction for how the appliance worked.

The arbitration agreement was on its own page in very easy to read print. I finally found the instructions on a very small pamphlet which had fallen out of the box. These were the quick start instructions which were about two inches by one inch.

It was so small I had to put reading glasses on to read it and did not notice that it had fallen on the floor from the box. I did not have to put my reading glasses on to read the arbitration agreement.

They should hire more product designers to make the product more useable and fewer Lawyers.

I love my Waterpik! I tried a generic brand that claimed it worked better, but it was too strong a flow pounding on my gums. My Waterpik is easy to use, it puts out the right flow of water on my gums.

It keeps my gums healthy and clears out food particles between my teeth. My teeth feel so clean after brushing and using my Waterpik. The true test is when my dental hygienist gives me a ‘no cavities’ report, which rarely happened before I started using my Waterpik.

No Joke! If you want clean teeth and a positive dental check-up, then you should buy a Waterpik. I like the WP-360 because it is small, easy to hold, and it takes very little space on your cabinet. It is also easy, and convenient to take with you when traveling.

I am absolutely blown away by this waterpik! I use it several times a day and I can feel such a huge difference in my teeth and gums just within a week of using. I also want to add that I have a few crown and caps, and this works phenomenal, no issues at all!! This comes with 5 different insert pieces, and you can store them in the lid.

The lid has individual sections for each piece which helps keep them organized! They are very easy to put on and you just push a button to take them back off. I absolutely love the different settings this comes with.

It will work for even the most sensitive teeth on the low setting. This has 10 different speed settings and can get pretty powerful on the highest one. The cord on the waterpik is excellent and reaches a good distance.

I also really like how you can tuck it in and hang the waterpik itself up to keep it organized better. The plug in cord also will reach a good distance which is very helpful as well. I most definitely recommend this one, it works incredibly well!! Now, onto the handheld waterpik.

This takes 3 AA batteries and comes with a carrying bag, which is great for traveling. The battery pack can be tricky to twist off, so please read the instructions on what to do first. This has a little flip on the side, all you do is lift it up and fill up with water.

This also comes with two different insert pieces. There is two different speed settings on this, you just push the button up or down for low and high. However, this one even on low was just way to powerful.

If you like a super strong waterpik, then this is for you, if not then this handheld one isn’t for you. You will need to be very careful with it because if you accidently get your mouth or lips the wrong way it will sting.

Also, if you have sensitive teeth, this is not the one to use as it’s very very powerful even on the lowest setting. This one would be perfect with more speed settings added to it. But overall, this is a great traveling device, just needs a few lower settings added.

I have been using this for about 2 weeks now and I must say I love both of these flossers. There’s the ultra plus which I use at home and the cordless express which I use for travel. The ultra plus has 10 speeds, unique tips for the flosser itself and even stores them directly on top.

It’s very quiet when you use it so you don’t wake anyone up. It really gets into those hard to reach areas and there’s a unique tip for everything. It’s very easy to change the tips and get a better clean.

It hold up to a minute and a half of continuous water. No need to refill. It’s compact and sleek design makes it a perfect accessory for the bathroom and looks great too. The cordless express is super convenient while traveling or just if you have a meeting right after eating and you just need to refresh your mouth, this is perfect.

It is baterry powered (it comes with the batteries), it’s waterproof and you can even use it in the shower. I perosnally like to use it out of the shower. It has 2 power settings and 30 seconds of continuous water.

It even has a traveling carrying case. You can also choose which unique water tips you want to take with you. There is an easy release for fast switch out. I was worried this wasn’t going to be powerful enough but it has some good power.

I was really pleased with this when I was away from home bit still got that clean feeling that I desired.

This combo is amazing. At home I use the waterpik flosser. It has been a great addition to my routine. I do not like using regular floss so this is a wonderful option and is so effective. My mouth is always left feeling so clean and healthy.

I don’t like a lot of pressure so it’s a blessing to be able to use different settings. you can go from 1 to 10 with one being the lightest setting and ten the highest. There is a High-volume reservoir capacity of 90+ seconds.

Which is nice because I feel like my mouth gets a really thorough clean. The top of the flosser has storage for different tips which is so convenient! You don’t have to try to find a place to store them and have to take them out every time.

They are so easy to access. I love that it came with multiple tips for different uses. My favorite would have to be the plaque seeker. It works wonders. There is also an orthodontic tip, pickpocket tip, toothbrush tip, classic jet tip and the tongue cleaner.

The travel flosser is also great. I take it with me whenever I visit my parents. It also came with an orthodontic tip, pickpocket tip, plaque seeker tip, toothbrush tip, classic jet tip and tongue cleaner.

It is battery operated and comes with the batteries which is really great! All you have to do to put in the batteries is twist the bottom and insert the batteries. It shows you which way to turn it to lock and unlock.

Make sure you have some petroleum jelly on hand for each battery change to lubricate. To use you just need to remove the water reservoir, fill it up, attach it back to the flosser, make sure your tip is inserted well and use it as you normally would.

There is a high pressure option and a low pressure option. Whenever you’re finished you just turn it off and empty the liquid out of the reservoir. I like to remove the reservoir to let it dry out so no water is left inside.

It also comes with a soft travel bag to keep it covered. Cleaning is easy and I am so satisfied with these products!.

I was advised to start using these by my dentist. My teeth are quite crowded so I still have to floss some teeth but the ones with a bit of a gap I was told to use these for. They take a bit of practice but after a few days They were much easier to use.

And after using a cheaper brand, I discovered they are worth the extra money. The cheap brand broke after one day, these have never broken on me, just got a bit too bent out of shape after a while. They do the job and I’ll be sticking with these from now on.

So pleased I tried these. Has made a big difference to sleeping for 6+hours. Also good in the day. Cannot understand why they are not available on the NHS. Hopefully soon. Both flavours fine, because the mild mint really is mild.

Great at cleaning out in between teeth. However for a piece of brittle wire and some plastic. its too expensive. The brush itself is very good st cleaning in between teeth and bends easily, however there lies the flaw in this brush, its brittle and continuous bending and trying to get in between the back teeth causes the wire to break.

This results in the brush head being stuck in between your back teeth. A difficult job trying to pull out the brush head. Requires the use of tweezers. Overall good at what Its designed for but expensive and brittle wire are its downfalls.

My dentist urged me to floss regularly. I had to struggle using floss as I couldn’t properly get the string around every tooth, so frankly I let it go. On my last visit I had a number of gum issues as a result of not flossing.

The dental assistant recommended that I try a Water Pik. Oh, if I only was aware of this amazing machine years ago. When I use it is I cleans every particle that brushing doesn’t get, especially tiny fragments between teeth that I couldn’t floss even if I wanted to.

Painless to use, a child could set it up, and I am delighted with it. I recommend it to anyone who realizes how important flossing is.

I love the Evolution model. It has terrific water pressure, a nice selection of attachments, and a sleek design in a smaller footprint for taking up less counter space. Looking at prior reviews, I see no issues with the lid.

It is thin but solid, and creates a nice seal. And I totally disagree with the person that prefers the plastic clip holder for the handle. The clip was the first thing that snapped off on my prior unit, creating an annoyance for the dangling cord that I hated.

I love this new magnetic handle holder since it is simple and keeps everything tidy. The reservoir seems a bit smaller, but gets the job done. The Nano flosser a so convenient and works great. My only gripe is that I wish a folding lid was also provided for the Nano so that you could truly have 2 stand-alone functional units in the home.

I personally don’t want to have to clean out and dry the tank after every use. But for portability and functionality, especially when travelling, it’s awesome.

It Leaks! I am looking to purchase a new waterpik and reading reviews. I just threw the one I bought in the garbage because it leaks, it leaks, it leaks. At first I thought it was my error so I kept it in a plastic bin to avoid a mess.

No, I do not store water in it. It leaks during use. It always has. I just kept trying because I love waterpik and the store is an hour away too far to try to return. I am looking to buy one that doesn’t like like this model.

The nano is a touch better so for now I am using that.

This is a Christmas gimmick gadget like all the others that stay in the cupboard afterwards. 1. The pressure is nowhere near sufficient to ‘floss’ teeth as it claims – even on the highest setting. It’s nothing more than a messy (see below) and glorified mouth rinse.

2. The water tank runs out after about 3 teeth if attempting to floss to the same level of cleanliness as ordinary floss. So you’re constantly refilling – and that includes fiddling about to get the temperature exactly right each time.

It’s horrible, verging on painful, if the water’s too cold. 3. The mess!!! OMG! both myself and my husband were drenched by the water (a) from the nozzle and (b) out of your mouth – the instructions keep telling you to close your mouth while using – guess I didn’t appreciate the significance of that one! I’m sure like anything you get used to it with practise – but I don’t feel like practising with something I can see will never be as effective as promised.

(If you have a small basin, you might have to do it over the kitchen sink). 4. The size – it’s a big, clunky thing to hold – especially annoying as it holds nothing like enough water or has a powerful enough motor – wouldn’t mind it being heavy if it had some power!! Just really poor design.

5. Charging? There’s no light so you’ve no idea whether it’s charged or not. It tells you to charge it for 24 hours when you first get it and then once a week – but I’d actually like to know/see if it’s charging, just like is normal with anything else you have to charge.

I’ve owned Waterpik products in the past and they’ve always performed better and lasted longer than similar off-branded models sold on Amazon or ebay. You pay more initially but I think it’s worth it in the end.

Ion Water Flosser pros and cons: Cons: 1. I wish it had a slightly smaller profile and a carry case for traveling and/or camping. Because the device is rechargeable, you’d almost expect this. As it is, I’ll be carting it around in the box it came in.

2. About 30 seconds after startup, the motor “pips” a couple of times (it almost sounds like the motor is dying for a brief moment) to let you know that it’s time to start cleaning the lower half of your mouth.

30 seconds after that, it “pips” again to let you know you’re finished. I know that electric toothbrushes use this timing feature as well but I always find it annoying and don’t like having my cleaning interrupted by this distraction, so I wish there was a way to turn this feature off.

Furthermore, the length of time between each “pip” is only 30 seconds, which in my opinion isn’t nearly long enough to clean each half of the mouth. 60 seconds for each half would be much more realistic if you really wanted a good cleaning.

Pros: 1. The charged battery lasts a very long time (2 weeks to a month depending on how often it’s used) so you don’t have to charge it very often. Because of this, you can minimize the clutter on your countertop and go on long trips before needing to recharge.

2. The lighted power button is very accessible on top of the unit so turning it on and off is easy. 3. It’s much quieter than any other water flosser I’ve owned. 4. The pulsating strength can be preset to the speed of your choice so you don’t have to reset it each time like other water flossers I’ve owned have required.

5. The handle that holds the attachments is magnetized so it snaps in place in the magnetic cradle when you’re finished using it. Very nice design touch! 5, Excellent warranty and customer service.

Some time ago I heard from friends about this product, but I never considered it seriously. I always thought that keeping a regular and good toothbrush and floss was enough. But then I learned that Waterpik was clinically proven and accepted by the American Dental Association (ADA).

With this in mind and my friends recommendation I started to feel curious and once I got it and started to use it, WOW! I didn’t have any idea the amount of debris and garbage that was coming out of my mouth even after I had carefully just finished brushed my teeth.

I can feel my gum line clean and fresh like I never felt before. I think the experience that Waterpik has gained over the years has paid off with this new water flosser, it really does a fantastic job.

This little fella is so powerful and efficient that I wish I had it years ago. The size of the unit is perfect because it doesn’t affect the look of my bathroom counter (4×6 x 6×4) and it is cordless! What a brilliant idea! I don’t need to worry about locating power outlet, and the hassle of having power cables on the counter surface.

And for traveling it is perfect because the power adapter and cable are USB connectors, so worst case that you lose the power adapter you can easily find a USB one. 1amp is very common but if you find a 1.

5 or 2 amp those will work too. The original adapter is for international Power source, (100-240V AC). And another fancy detail is the magnetic charging plug on the unit. The unit reservoir took like around a hour to fully charge.

So far my wife and I were using it each of one for 2 min cleaning for about 4 days in a row and no need to recharge it so far! Another cool feature is the magnetic handle cradle and stick, very fancy and modern detail.

Very quiet and you set the grade of water pressure and you can turn off the water and leave the pump on, so your partner can use it without losing the power pressure, very nice feature. The design of the hose is really cool, no hassle at all it feels like it is retractable and the you can place the stick in the cradle magnetically.

A wide range of water pressure and adjustable. It is Very handful that the Waterpik includes 6 tips with this new unit, each is designed for your dental cleaning needs. For example, the A tip, called Orthodontic Tip, it’s for braces and general use, or E, for dental implants, etc.

I really like that variety of tips that I can choose. The use is pretty simple. Just fill the reservoir with warm water, choose the tip that is better for your dental needs, insert it into the Water Flosser handle firmly until you hear the click, (there is a switch on the handle to release it) and for the first time you will need to let the water flow through the tip at the higher pressure 10.

After this you will be able to set the pressure where you can feel comfortable, the recommendation is to start with level 1 and then gradually increase the pressure. Start with back teeth with the tip pointing in a 90 degree angle to your gum line, and the rest is basically instinctive.

After a little while the Waterpik will pause for 30 seconds to remind you to move to the other side and finally a pause of 1 minute to indicate that the cleaning time has accomplished. More detail about how to do it you will find on page 7 in the user manual.

This unit is great now only because of this new design and cool features but also because it really takes care of my dental hygiene.

I had the Waterpik Aquarius WP-660 and liked it very much, but needed something more compact that didn’t need to stay plugged in. I am very happy with my new ION cordless Water Flosser. It does everything my previous one did.

It’s a bit quieter, fits in a smaller space, and holds a charge for a long time. The water capacity is the same as my previous Waterpik too. There is one thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars, and that is the cover.

It is not easy to lift the water reservoir without the cover falling off and it is a bit tricky getting back in place. A good idea would have been for Waterpik to provide a small beaker so the flosser could stay in place and half of the cover that flips up could be opened for filling water from the beaker.

I could still do that with my own beaker but it makes no sense to have the flip top if it so easily falls off when the reservoir is removed. All in all, I am happy with this unit and look forward to having it for many years to come.

I purchased the blue version of the WP-660 to replace the battery powered travel version I purchased as a “trial,” as I wasn’t sure I would use it daily. This version is definitely an upgrade. Besides the obvious advantage of not replacing batteries every week and filling the tank only once, the wand is significantly easier to handle, and I’m taking less time to waterfloss overall.

The water stream is also much more even than the travel version. Overall happy with my purchase! Feature comments: I love the on/off feature of the stream on the wand; I use it when changing ‘quadrants’ in my mouth so there’s much less of a chance of wayward splashing.

The 2x 30sec timer is lost on me; I must waterfloss too slowly. I wish the base unit was a bit heavier; it has a tendency to slide while using it. I appreciate the multi-tip kit included, which I’ll try out once I’m used to using the original tip.

This is a good alternative to floss, especially if your teeth have rough fillings that catch on the floss, or if you can’t floss at all due to having traditional braces. That said, there is a design issue with these that will cause the product to eventually fail.

I used this for a few years with no issues, long enough to replace the hose assembly after the original hose became too brittle and broke off (another issue you’ll run into – fortunately WaterPik sells replacement hose assemblies).

About a year or so in, the unit would sometimes leak if any water was left in the tank, so I made sure to leave it empty when I was done. Over the last few months up to now, the pressure slowly declined.

Eventually, the unit would shut off on its own during use, and now it won’t turn on at all. Suspecting an issue with the motor, I disassembled the unit and confirmed my suspicion. Over time, the rubber gaskets on the pump assembly inlet and the gearbox will harden and stop doing their jobs as effectively, and whatever lubricant the piston may have had will degrade.

Between these factors, water will eventually start to get into the gearbox, and from there, the motor. In my case, the end of the motor exposed to the gearbox is very rusty, and the shaft is hard to turn – naturally, this is why it no longer functions.

Some rusty brown water was pooled in the bottom of the gearbox. The electronics look pristine, so it feels like a waste to throw it out – but I can’t find the exact motor for direct sale from any vendor I can trust, so this is where this unit’s story ends.

All in all, it’s a good value, but there’s a reason the WP-660 is relatively inexpensive for what it is; don’t expect it to outlast the warranty by much. If you get one of these and notice a drop in pressure before the warranty runs out, contact support immediately.

Don’t ignore it as I did, or you’ll have to go back to actual floss for a while.

Besides having an obscene amount of dental work that makes it a chore to floss, I have very small spaces in-between my teeth, and normal floss is either too big, or gets shredded. My dentist has suggested the Waterpik, but due to price and counterspace, I’ve always avoided looking into it.

I wish I had the opportunity to get this sooner! Since it was on sale, I was finally encouraged to purchase this, and from a month of daily use I can attest to much cleaner teeth. The water flushes out food residue quite effectively, and I find there’s not as much plaque buildup since it washes most of it away.

If anything, it encourages me to thoroughly clean, as opposed to just not flossing since it’s so difficult and sometimes painful. I was concerned with it’s countertop footprint, and it’s surprisingly small—it takes a little more space than a large bottle of mouthwash.

It’s also aesthetically pleasing, and the functional design—although simple, is very efficient, and in a way, makes it’s use less complicated—I’d like more storage room however, for extra tips. I also like how you can choose the pressure level, although I try to stick around level 2 – 6 since I find my gums are delicate.

Removing the tips are really easy too, and are well-made. The range of tips it comes with is awesome, although I wish it came with another PikPocket or tongue scraper instead of an orthodontic tip since not everyone has braces.

It is a bit loud though, but you’re using it for 5 minutes at most so it’s bearable. It looks overwhelming at first, but once you get it, it’s very easy to operate—just follow the beginners’ instructions.

And it’s also a little messy at first when using, but make sure to stay close to the sink to let the water drain out of your mouth. Another attribute I enjoy is how easy maintenance is: it’s only necessary to do a deep clean every 1 – 3 months! (although I’d aim for 1 month because of the way it uses water).

I wish my humidifier where that low maintenance! All it takes is vinegar and water. I suggest watching the instructional video they have on YouTube to clarify the process. To maintain a unit like this every month means it’s designed quite well in that regard.

In all, I had no idea how much I’d end up loving how this Waterpik enhances my dental care routine. I just hope they make the price for tips more cost effective for maintenance. Otherwise, I’m quite pleased!.

I am new to using a water pick, though I do find it is oddly satisfying to power wash your teeth after a meal. While I have used floss for years, especially if trapped food can be “felt,” I find the water pick has the advantage of cleaning out the crease at the edge of the gum line at the same time.

(Yes, a tooth brush can do the same, but that is two steps) Using this is relatively easy. One quick lesson learned is to make sure the water reservoir is pressed into place securely or the valve will not open.

I found this out when trying to prime it for the first time. (Priming should only take a few seconds) Another lesson learned it to use warmer water since spraying one’s teeth with cool water can be less comfortable.

Similar to others’ reviews, this will make a mess of your sink and mirror if you try to keep your mouth open more than enough to drool out the water. Since using a mirror is not logistically feasible, it helps to GENTLY feel the nozzle drag along the gum line and cracks between your teeth to make sure you do not miss anything.

Finally, as I run the tap to get the water warm, and fill the reservoir, I am reminded of the old reminder to turn off the faucet when brushing one’s teeth. Using this unit will ultimately waste water, unless you keep it in an areas that is constantly used and stays warm.

I am not sure if I really want to keep this in my kitchen though. Overall, and expensive addition to teeth cleaning that adds an additional level of clean.

Got one of these about a week or two after getting my Wisdom teeth taken out. Had those holes left over for a while I have to regularly clean, and this was an absolute champion to do the job. If you are planning to use this for a similar reason, keep the pressure towards the lowest setting.

This thing is powerful! The attachments and overall tool are very good at working food caught in your mouth out. And because it’s so quick to use, a 30-second floss with this after each meal is a no-brainer to save your mouth the hassle.

Still should do more in-depth during morning and nightly cleans, but throughout the day, great tool to have. There are only two real recommendations I’d have for this. First is that the base is too light compared to the water tank.

It is very top-heavy when full, and very easy to knock over. Second, it is very loud. It’s to be expected, but it can cause some comfort issues around the house. I can’t use mine while my wife is sleeping.

Overall very happy with the product as many more are.

I am not a dental floss user. BUT I have used a Waterpik reservoir flosser since 1995 when I lived in Fort Collins, Colorado and purchased my first Waterpik directly from the Manufacturer. This is my 3rd flosser of this model.

Why have I only had to purchase 3 in the last 27 years? The product performance is amazing! The customer support is the best — by replacing parts (a very simple process), I have been able to extend the life of my Waterpik until well beyond what I expected.

Using vinegar as suggested (monthly) in my “hard water” location extends the life of the parts. The size of the reservoir is perfect for nightly flossing. The results of my use of this product is confirmed by my dentist every six months.

My Waterpik keeps gum recession and pockets to a minimum. And it’s perfect for cleaning under my bridge and around my implant. As a long-time user, I highly recommend this product!.

I had a water flosser in the past but used it after brushing and didn’t really notice a huge difference. Either the tech has gotten much better or using it BEFORE brushing, as recommended, makes it so much more effective.

I have 4 pockets in my gums from teeth removal for adult braces. These never felt thoroughly clean and wearing a mask during the pandemic proved that even after brushing, I had some bad breath. That has completely disappeared since using my WaterPik before brushing.

I love the clean feeling so much that I’m using it twice a day and sometimes in between if I’ve had something like popcorn to get rid of those annoying hulls. My teeth seem so much brighter and whiter now because there is no plaque hiding out between my teeth and along the gum line.

I purchased this Waterpik, with some apprehension. My dentist recommended it strongly, but I wasn’t sure I’d actually use it. This “kit” is an excellent value (I really like the portable unit, for when I travel).

The Main Waterpic unit works great and there are tips included, for all of your needs. I’ve been using the standard tip. The instructions are good, but I chose to watch Waterpik’s online videos as well.

My only “minor” complaint is that the portable unit doesn’t hold enough water, for a full cleaning. I have to fill it twice for my process. That said, if they made the reservoir larger, it would probably be too difficult to hold and use.

Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase.

I am pleased with the performance of the Waterpik, easy to keep clean. 4 stars because the lid, holding the various cleaning heads, does not hold all of them! Your selected pik has to stay on the handle.

Also, the selector dial for controlling the water jet pressure is completely white. Has a very shallow dimple on it to show which level you’ve selected. Would be much better if it was coloured – blue, perhaps! Could do with a couple of design refinements, I think.

I use this after brushing and it almost always loosens some fine particles which the toothbrush didn’t reach. And my l cleaner after each use. They even look a bit cleaner after using the Waterpik. It is clumsy to use.

I suspect the models with hoses and smaller heads would be easier to use. But it does work.

This is my 3rd unit, and I would highly recommend it. I will say, its good for about a year, and would need to be replaced. The reason I say a year, is because I use it 2 to 3 times a day. Very useful and will definitely keep your teeth in good condition.

Been using a water flosser for several years love how it cleans your teeth. Being cordless is even better last flosser the hose cracked at base and impossible to repair.
