This is my everyday, anywhere hat. Beach -check Golfing -check Grocery Store trip -check. It fits very comfortably and looks great, even after you stuff it in a bag or crumble it up. Love their logo too! Not super flashy just the way I like it.

Awesomely comfortable and featherweight. Unique material has a sheen and split panel shallow fit makes it fun. Fits perfectly without any adjustments. I usually wear a 56cm. Made this selection bc I wanted a bear with surfboard logo, big bonus bc it floats and is waterproof.

Great hat. Fits nicely doesn’t fade from UV exposure or smell from sweat. Bill can be bent every which way without damage. Lightweight,. Only concern is the logo patch seems like it might peel easily away.

I’ve caught my sunglasses on it a couple times and noticed that the edge of the patch isn’t adhered to the hat.

I am very pleased with the quality of this bucket hat. My head size is 7-3/8 and I can tell that I sit right in the center of the Med/Lg size. The crown is a fabric that repels water perfectly and the brim follows suit with a spongy material.

I can wear the hat shallow, sitting higher on my head for sunny days and much lower for the rainy days. For those of you worried about being distracted by the brim when you swing, I doubt you will even notice it.

The brim on this is as high as a typical “baseball cap” style. So if you wear a hat, it will be no worse than that. I poured water on this hat for 30 seconds from a faucet and the inside stayed dry. The seams appear solid.

All around good product that I’ll be wearing on some bucket list courses.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for. I didn’t want a floppy hat so the thick brim is great and the light weight or thin material top is perfect. My wife likes no sun on my head, neck and ears. She hays lather up or wear a full brim hat.

Now I lightly sun screen and wear my AUSSIE. Yes that’s what I nicknamed it. (Bonus I’ve played the TITLIEST ball only all my life).

Great hat for sun protection. Let’s face it as we age a certain style hat is needed. I wear exclusively for golf. My one star deduction has to do with the chin strap. These are in the way and not needed.

I cut it off. My older hat had hooks beneath it so the strap could be removed and left in the golf bag. However, it was never used so it didn’t matter.

I love how waterproof and breathable this cap is. I have worn it up to 22 Celsius and I don’t feel uncomfortably sweaty in it which is very impressive for GoreTex hat. [However, I do shave my head so if you have a lot of hair you will likely get warm in it my faster then me – perhaps 18 degrees or so] The only minor flaw that annoys me is that the sweatband is not stitched on both ends to the cap so I have to always make sure I adjust it on properly when I put it on.

Good news is that once it is adjusted properly on my head it never really seems to move.

The ‘one size’ doesn’t cut it I have a 62/63 cm for hats and this is probably about a 58/59. The cap also is cut so that even if forced on it doesn’t come down anywhere near the ears. Ive worn Goretex products since the early 80’s and have never been so extremely disappointed.

I was looking for a ball cap that I could wear hiking, that would keep the sun off my head, absorb sweat, and was breathable. However, with a shaved head, there are _very_ few options, unless you want the dreaded ‘D’ tan line on the back of your head.

This hat is really great. I measured my head according to the instructions, and it fits well. There is enough adjustment that I can wear it over my balaclava when things get really cold (I live in Canada).

The hat is light weight, yet it provides good warmth. The lining is nice and soft, and the outer shell repels moisture as promised. I like the hat so much that I ordered 1 for my wife and another for my father-in-law.

Even though the hats were shipped from the UK to Canada, the shipping time was very good. I would highly recommend this hat.

This hat is great, expect for probably the most important part. Like all hats made in China, no matter the quality & cost. 2xl is too small! Please help me return this item. I have been ill and unable to do it sooner.

I had a “”Belgian Style”” rain hat from Sealskinz, but it was lost so I tried to replace it. As this cap was described as “”All-weather”” I assumed it replaced the “”Belgian Style”” hat which I wore in winter.

But it was in fact the hat I already had for summer rain. Excellent for summer but no warmth in winter, or covering for the ears which the Belgian style hat gave. It seems the old hat has been discontinued.

I assume because it won’t fit under a helmet. But I don’t rely on a helmet so wanted the old style. Luckily I found the old hat on a later ride! So if you want a winter hat, look at the Waterproof Extreme Cold Weather Hat from Sealskinz, though I’ve not needed it as long as I have my old hat!.

My husband was a lifelong golfer. Unfortunately he has advanced parkinsons and is wheelchair bound. His greatest love is golf, and Footjoy is the ultimate product from his perspective. Finding the FJ hat, on sale, was wonderful.

It is very nice fabric. It arrived safe and sound very quickly. He opened it yesterday, christmas, and he wore it all day. I am delighted to have been able to find what I needed so easily at Carls.

My husband loves his DryJoys Baseball Rain Hat so much, the two I purchased were replacements for the two he wore to frightful state. Now he has new hats for golf and his favorite hat to do lawn work in.

Great hat. The depth of the hat is just right. Some hats today are too shallow and don’t fit very well. I think the hat is pretty simple yet stylish also. I’ve not had the chance to wear it in rain yet but have worn it with cold weather and just out running errands.

Its a good option when the weather is chilly but not raining. The construction of the hat keeps some of your warmth trapped in so it keeps your head warm. This will be a great option for those colder/rainy days on the course.

I was looking for a versatile sun hat that would function comfortably under all circumstances, yet without leaving me looking like an amateur archaeologist. The Seattle Sombrero, in black, seemed to fit the bill.

When it arrived I was thoroughly pleased with the appearance however I was sceptical it was actually breathable, and concerned that the tricot lining would be hot on a hot day. I tried it on and the fit was perfect for size.

One could say it fit like a glove, metaphorically of course. The tricot lining felt soft to the head and the sombrero was quite comfortable. Within the week I put the sombrero to the test on a hike in the Grasslands National Park.

It was sunny and in the high twenties with a typical gusty prairie wind. I could not have been more pleased with my new sombrero. As advertised, it did breathe and wick moisture so that my head remained very comfortable, never getting hot.

It also stood up perfectly to the wind, never even remotely in danger of being blown off my head. I am confident this hat will stand the test of any weather conditions one could encounter on a hike. I could not be more pleased with my new Seattle Sombrero.

It is indeed a splendid sombrero.

This is a nice looking hat. I have the blackish and grey two tone model and it looks good. It is definitely rainproof. I was in a downpour the first time I had a chance to wear it in the rain and it worked great.

The only problem with that (I guess it could be a problem) is the rain beads and rolls off the hat so well that when you move your head, all the water rolls off the hat and right onto your body. So. you are wet anyway.

Just be mindful of that and you can avoid major wetness. The quality of the hat seems pretty nice and I am mostly enjoying wearing it. It definitely keeps the sun off and it is pretty comfortable. Now for the negatives – much like others, I find the sizing to be incorrect.

I have a big head. I have a big head and according to the sizing chart on MJ I should order an XL, I normally wear an XL hat and I typically find this to be accurate when I wear baseball style caps. My wife purchased this hat for me and she got a large.

It’s too big and flies off in a little bit of wind. I HATE chinstraps but end up having to wear the chin strap cinched up almost every time I wear this OR Sombrero. Also, this is a sun hat and it has a fleece like liner on the inside of the hat, similar to a fall or winter fleece beanie I wear.

The sweat just rolls off my head and that liner gets soaked. The hat does seem to breath, but the heat that it retains is noticeable. This must be a newer model because there are no cinch adjustments inside as I have read about earlier models.

The cinch would be great and take care of my sizing issue. The double edged sword of a packable hat is that it’s packable which is nice, but the flimsy design that makes it packable doesn’t give the brim enough stiffness to stay a flat brim in the breeze.

The brim blows up and out of position, leading to yet more adjustments. Lastly, the chin strap doesn’t stay adjusted where you put it. The keeper is not snug enough and it creeps down the straps over time.

Would I buy this hat again? Probably not. It’s nice, but not for 50 bucks. I paid 42 and I wouldn’t do it again. At a cheaper price I could put up with the things that I don’t care for. For an OR “top quality” hat like this.

too many annoyances to do it over again. What do I use my hat for? A LOT baseball games. High school ball, travel ball, practices, etc. I spend a lot of time in the sun and got this hat mostly for that.

It’s ok, but I feel like I could do better. I also use my hat for a lot of fishing. Keeps the sun off me mostly, but again. the issues I have outlined are a hassle. You don’t want to be wearing a hat while fly fishing that needs adjusting so frequently or blows the brim up to put the sun right in your eyes when you are trying to read the water, the fish or flies.

Just my 2 cents from and honest perspective. And for my gender choice (to MJ) I am a male. There is no “other” category.

Pros: – Excellent quality and design. – Goretex material would make this hat amazing for rain, although I did not test it in the rain. – Shape of hat and size of brim provide excellent coverage for face and neck.

– One of rare sun hats offered in black. – Drawstring adjustable chin strap useful for windy days. Cons: – Price, it’s quite expensive but you do get what you pay for, it’s excellent quality. – I bought this primarily as a sun hat, and the soft fuzzy liner made this hat way too hot.

I can see it being an excellent rain hat for cooler days. But I had to return it as I wanted a cool sun hat. Sunday Afternoons makes a similar shape product in a cooler fabric, but does not offer it in black.

I would recommend as a rain hat for cooler days, but it’s just too hot for a sun hat.

Best Cap I purchased. Ripstop pattern looks very nice plus Teflon Treated. I Hope 5. 11 upgrade their quality control before they fall behind (some people reported defects). Mine arrived without defects.

A lot Caps out there with Logos. I love the stealth look and avoid washing too many times just in case (Teflon treatment). Lightweight 5. 11 hat that you can easily integrate in your personal EDC setup.

The Khaki color compliments the already cool feeling (doesn’t feel hot like Acrylic Caps).

Bought this hat in blaze orange to be visible while hiking during winter hunting season. While hiking up hill the hat is too hot, but I found that if I turned it backwards it sat high on top of my head it left enough room to ventilate the heat.

While not moving it was lovely for below freezing temperatures. Ears, neck and head were all warm. Camped at 10F and it kept my head comfy the whole night. Extremely well made, quality product. Regarding sizing- I measured my head with a flexible tape measure and the size on the size chart was a perfect fit.

I bought 3 sizes. 7, 7⅛ and 7¼. All technically fit if I wasn’t being picky. 7 was my measured size. Fit like it was made for my head, but I was afraid that it’d be too snug over time (sweat and wool maybe shrink).

7⅛ was goldilocks fit perfectly but left just enough room for no brain squeeze. I ultimately choose the 7¼ because it stayed on my head in big wind gusts but also left room for ponytails and a balaclava.

You know prepared for really cold weather. Mossejaw was amazing with customer service. Highly recommend this hat.

After considering the photos, text in the catalog listing, reputation of the manufacturer, being made in the USA, availability in numerous specific sizes, and the price, I expected to receive a superior replacement for a 25 year old warn-out insulated winter hat.

I carefully measured my head several times before selecting the proper size to order. Once in my hands, and on my head, the Stormy Kromer turned out to be considerably thinner, a much tighter fit, and much less insulating than I expected.

It appears to be well sewn and fashionable (not one of my priorities), but a far cry from what I expected, especially for the price. I see it as a suitable early fall general purpose hat albeit outrageously expensive for that purpose, but my search for a suitable winter hunting hat has not been met with the Stormy Kromer.

Who in their right mind would buy a wool cap in the middle of summer? Well, I never said I was in my right mind! When I read how a female character was wearing a Stormy Kromer cap in a mystery novel, I had to have one even though I didn’t know what it was.

That’s how much I trust Sheriff Walt Longmire. A quick online search brought me to the Mountain Steals website and there it was–the perfect cap for me. The women’s Ida Kromer with hardware was on sale and a respectable bargain, considering how it was summer and all.

I wasn’t sure about the size, but Mountain Steals made it a snap with helpful instructions for measuring my extra-small noggin and converting inches to a size 6 ½ cap. I immediately added it to my shopping cart.

My cap arrived in just a few days, carefully packed to maintain its classic shape. I pulled on my new Stormy Kromer right away and it felt like it was made just for me. Boy Howdy. I sure did hate to take it off while the weather is warm, but I’ll be wearing it again soon enough.

Cant beat the benefits of Gore-Tex. Water beads right off and keeps your head dry during those rainy rounds of golf. Like the adjustable Velcro strap in back for quick sizing customization. Light weight and the sturdy bill keeps the rain off of my glasses.

Well worth the extra money.

I was nervous to try this based on a review I’d read about it, and was quite surprised considering Regatta is such a renowned brand. I went for it anyway and I was pleasantly surprised. The cap has a nice denim-esque soft texture to it, with an aged wash look to it without looking scraggy or tatty.

The Khaki colour is perfect and as looks on the image, a nice greenish-grey tone. The cap is very lightweight – yet the material is substantial and doesn’t feel cheap or too thin. The clasp on the back gives a generous size variation – I have a fat head to be honest and it fits me perfectly, and would easily fit larger or smaller heads.

The peak is also lightweight and somewhat flexible, but still easily retains it’s shape and doesn’t require manoeuvring to put in place. Some caps I find put too much pressure on my temples because of the shape – not with this one.

The cap is so comfortable to wear, and the small padding is just enough to keep it soft but not too claustrophobic in the cap. In conclusion, I didn’t have high hopes for this cap, however it’s actually probably one of my favourites.

Great lightweight packable baseball cap. Folds/rolls up to fit in pocket/bum bag. Only comment would be that I’m not sure it would be big enough for all men’s heads.

Bought this for my son in law and he loves it. I have not seen a denim look cap before and it looks great on him. Great price too 🙂

A great product giving excellent protection from rain and sun. As it is adjustable, unless you have a head like Humpty Dumpty, it will fit most craniums. I am glad i have one. the cap. not a head like Humpty Dumpty.

A great addition to my range of hats for those rainy days. Looks and feels quality. Have used it twice so far and guess what it kept me dry! Size is adjustable using a Velcro strap.Would recommend.

Nice sun hat. Brim is wide enough for reasonable sun protection when sun is overhead but isn’t rigid enough for when it;s windy. It’s lightweight and dries very quickly. Washes well (by hand). More ventilation would make it even better as I overheat quickly when hiking, but as sunhats go, it’s still light enough to not contribute too much to that.

I wear these hats for a lot of hiking and gardening. I was a bit surprised at the sizing because it was listed as being for women. I’m female, have a big head, and usually wear a size XL in the Outdoor Research unisex sun hat styles.

I was concerned the XL in this women’s style would be smaller as is often the case, but was surprised when it actually fit slightly larger than my other XL hats. I probably could’ve got a size smaller but the XL is fine.

I don’t like things to fit too snug and the fit of the hat can be adjusted by a cinch at the back. I’ll likely purchase another. I like to be outside a lot but have to be careful of sun on my skin so am usually wearing a decent had for coverage if I’m going to be outside for anything more than a few minutes.

I purchased this hat 3 times. One for myself and 2 in the past that I gifted (they love and wear them alot) It’s very comfortable, great quality material, light and dries fast if wet. The longer back brim protects your neck from the sun, and the adjustable cord makes it a great hat for those windy days or boating.

It packs well flat, but still takes up some space as the brim is on the more rigid side. I personally don’t mind it as it holds its shape. But if your looking for a more compact hat you can scrunch up and put in a little backpack, this isnt it.

Great purchase! I’ve had many sun hats, but this model by Outdoor Research is the one I’m most happy about and would recommend.

The side vents are exposed to sunlight because there is no overlap, so there is a gap in protection. I have very thin hair and wished they would have overlapped the side vents as they do with the front and rear vents.

I might have to stitch a little bit of cloth to cover the gap. My head circumference is 60cm (23. 6″) and the XL (24″) is too short from front to back because it’s not oval enough, so I get a lot of pressure on my forehead and the back of my head, while there are slight gaps to the sides of my head.

I can still wear it if I try to ignore the pressure, and because of the tight fit, the hat will not lift off even in extreme winds, making the chin strap and drawstring unneeded. If the brim were a little more flexible, I guess the hat may have conformed better to the ovality of my head, but unfortunately it’s stiff and does not.

The top of the head has a lot of extra space, maybe for the air to flow through the front and back vents, but this causes me to have to pull the hat way down until they touch the back of the ears. I wear Oakley style prescription eyeglasses where the temples extend backwards past the ears, so the hat will hit the tips of the temple.

I have to tilt the hat forward in a certain way to prevent this. The rear brim might contact a tall backpack, so I may turn the hat backwards, like other reviewers did.

I had one almost identical to these for about 25 years from a UK company and searched everywhere for a replacement when it finally died before finding this. I don’t think I need to say anything about quality except that it is made by Marmot.

The things I love. Its warm enough for most 3 seasons stuff and when active in winter, I would say down close to -10c. It is waterproof enough to mean you don’t need a hood for light rain/showers until it is heaver enough to start going down the back of your neck! When you do need the hood up the peak locks it in place so your hood moves with your head and can’t fall down over your eyes, both of which bug me with most waterproofs.

The peak is big enough to keep stuff off your face and the fit plus drawcord means it wont blow off in any normal weather. Everyone should have one of these.

I find this cap to be a great combination of a beanie, a visor and a rain suit for the head. This will replace a beanie in the winter while keeping rain out of the eyes and the head dry. I was sized S/M and when I received it, it felt just a little tight.

I then ordered the L/XL and that felt a little more comfortable but then a little too large. As I tested them out I then had the need for a balaclava with the hat and found that in the winter months with this setup a larger size was more appropriate to accommodate layers.

Without the balaclava it feels good but looks a little big but I’m willing to work with that being that it will accommodate the balaclava when needed.

I bought the precip hat before it was called the Eco. Actually, I’ve bought a number of them because, unfortunately, I keep losing them. Excellent fit, better than cotton hats for everyday wear, almost enough rain protection by itself in light rain.

However, my original objective was to find a non cotton hat that would not be so hot here in Southeast USA. Precip hat better than cotton, but still a lot of sweat. The very best hat for summer wear in hot, humid conditions is the Marmot Tilden Running Cap, which is probably discontinued.

BRING IT BACK! Will keep you as cool as any hat on market. Better than a visor.

I purchased these for adding designs. I was looking for something with a medium profile. My first that was a popular dad hat but then I came across style. The color and texture alone gives this hat STYLE.

To add a little more to just makes the whole look POP. My husband and sons gave them a thumbs up so I will purchase more. Haven’t washed them to tell you how they hold up in that regard. The Velcro closure is not my first choice but I’ve had no problems with it thus far.

I bought this shirt for a friend in a 3x. She normally wears a 2x to 3x. However with working out she wanted more room. When she received it and put it on it fit more like a 1x super tight.

Good quality cap for the price. Fits my head much better than a Barbour. I still haven’t found the perfect cap, but this is the closest I’ve found. Too soon to tell how the leather strap and peak will wear with time.

The strap seems a little thin and flimsy, hopefully it won’t stretch.

The only reason I haven’t given it a 5 is because I bought two caps for my grandsons 2nd birthdays and they were very small in size! So now have the 6 to 12 years which fit head size well. New Forest clothing were very good and resent new size very quickly.

I will definitely use them again.

Arrived quickly and well packed. Comes as one size only with no adjustments and is a little tight though I think it will stretch. As I am probably going to use it in windy conditions that is probably a good thing though I hope I do not get to sweaty in it or it hurts.

Only time will tell.

This is a good sahara hat. Could do with a little modification to ensure the adjustable strap area at the rear of the hat is also covered so as not to have an exposed area. Nice light material. Overall very pleased.

My head circumference is 21 inches. Based on LLBean’s hat size chart, a small would fit me perfectly, so that’s what I ordered, and that’s what the label inside the hat says. The hat measured 24 inches inside, which would actually be a size X-Large according to the chart.

Other than the size problem, the hat is well made.

I bought this for a future trip so I can only comment on the hat itself. I got the blue one. The hat is very well contructed and the color is as shown. I did need to reshape the brim a bit because of shipping.

The back brim should keep water out of/off collar/neck. Pretty sure it will work very well.

Perfect rainhat. Wide, stiff brim that so far doesn’t flop, waterproof, and lightweight. Chin strap works well. In the photo online the top looks light bluegreen. If you were looking for bluegreen you will be disappointed as it is clover green as described.

I’ve got a big head, and this fits great. It’s not a high crown hat, so it might sit further up on your head, but it’s still comfortable and fits well. Absolutely waterproof, very lightweight, and pretty breathable.

Perhaps a higher/deeper crown would please others and even I wouldn’t be mad at more sizes available, but it’s not something that keeps me from loving this hat. I highly recommend it.

Keeps your head warm but not hot. Just spent several days digging out from a major snow storm. This cap was nice to have. Head stayed dry and protected my glasses from snow blower snow blow back. Parka hood goes over it nicely.

I’m a winter Steelhead guide in Oregon. Running a drift boat I don’t like wearing a hood. This hat is a blessing! Fished the Siletz last week for salmon in the rain and my head was dry. Mission accomplished! Great fit and look.
