20 Best Waterproof Blanket Outdoor (2022 Updated)

Super convenient and easy to use. The material that you sit on isn’t super cozy, especially if it’s a chilly out. But I could see layering another blanket on top for added coziness. The slippery top layer does seem great for my toddler and his tendency to walk on blankets with shoes.

So the convenience of that probably outweighs the coziness. Folding and unfolding is a breeze. Already used it several times in very early New England spring on damp ground. Exactly what I was looking for.

And the way it packs up and is so easy to carry is a major win!.

This blanket is amazing. The quality is so good – we’ve had picnic blankets before but this is next level. I knew the size of it was big, but I underestimated just how large it is which is great with two kids.

It wipes clean really easily, and folds up into a neat and compact satchel (with ease!) that fits well in the pram. We love the little unicorn designs and as an avid plant lover I adore this one. The perfect picnic addition, we leave ours in the boot for every occasion.

I’ve been eyeing up these picnic blankets and couldn’t resist the Little Unicorn sale. Just Wow! This blanket was a great size for 4 adults and a child. Great fabric for the beach and picnics as the sand doesn’t stick, and any spills just wipe right off! Love the little pocket and how easy it is to fold up.

I promptly received my furniture cover and this all season blanket which were well packaged with clear care instructions. We already washed ( it came out perfectly ) and are using the furniture cover but I have not had the opportunity to actually use the all season blanket.

I removed it from the packaging and it looks and feels really nice and substantial. Based on the furniture cover I’m relatively sure I’ll be happy with this blanket as well! Good quality, reasonably priced, and made in the USA! Thank You mambe!.

We LOVE the all season blanket! A baseball mom was wrapped up in one on a cold, windy Michigan day All of the other spectators were cold in their different blankets, yet she was comfortably warm. The next day I ordered one and have since bought many for birthday and Christmas presents for family members.

My granddaughter’s have played softball, oldest now 28 other sophomore in college still playing. Many years ago my daughter got one as a gift so we both used it. With this spring being cold and a new lady in my life, at 78 it’s about time I take the big plunge.

We’ve used it 3 times of which 2 at a game, other at theater where in shorts kinda chilly. You have a great product that has held up thre football seasons softball plus the beach. Keep up the great USA product.

This is about a similar blanket I have. Great on day hike with my wife. Wrapped around us taking in the view on a mountain top. But my blanket has small loops down the sides. With light bungie cord threw them I use it as an under quilt for my hammock.

I’m comfortable just above 30 deg. Would like to find this blanket again. My grandkids are starting to do overnight pack trips with me. They love hammocking but for now I bring a tent for them. Note.

Bugs like to bite through the hammock so it great when warmer too. They can’t bite through a blanket.

I bought myself one because I am gone a couple days at a time for work. I made this choice based on how light it was & the hope it would be warm enough. I bought 3 more because I never want to be without one.

It is for every season! Warm, cool, cozy and snuggly soft. I actually was having to fight the cat, dog & grandkids for my blanket. Glad there are plenty to go around now.

These picnic blankets are great for protecting floor (over a throw rug) from possible pet rabbit damage. It’s not very enticing for her to chew and it’s comfy on her little feet, plus protects wood floors in case she pees.

The size is nice, I just build her fencing around the mat size. I do wish the colors were prettier, they’re kind of ugly and boyish. Would love to see some pastels, flowers, rainbows kind of stuff. Not very uplifting to have these dark colors covering a floor, but otherwise we really like these mats a lot!.

These blankets are perfect for any occasion. They are light, easy to fold, and the zipper slides easily. The front pocket is a great feature. Super easy to clean (machine wash). My only problem with it are the colors and styles of the new collection.

The first ones I bought had light beautiful colors and patterns.

Bought one in the store last year, loved it for the beach. Went to the store to get another, they did not carry it and had to order online. Would recommend the store carry it, it is great. The teenagers love it, they won’t sit in beach chairs and this prevents yet another sandy towel or blanket.

I’m in love with my new Oceas blanket!! I keep this blanket in my car and whip it out all the time!!! I simply put the waterproof side down on any surface and have a place to sit or lie down immediately, anywhere!! It also kept me really warm on a cold night.

Was not the most exciting Valentines gift but definitely showed the love behind it. Blanket is NINE years old and still a champ. Saved the car from marshy, salt water-y, sandy dogs and their small person.

Kept us dry during soccer/lax games in NE when freezing rain would come from nowhere & other parents retreated to the car to watch. Ocean wind proof and dry bum super hero. Throw it in the washer, dry low- no worries.

This blanket is great protection from the wind! I live in west Texas and we get tons of wind. We like to sit around our gas fire pit during the winter. This blanket is soft, warm and wind proof! I’ve tried plenty of others and they never worked well.

This is the one! I haven’t used it in the rain yet because we haven’t had any for two months. I have spilt liquid on it and it just ran off and did not soak through at all. I would anticipate it doing very well in wet weather.

We have used this outdoor blanket twice now. It does well when you put the waterproof side on the ground – it keeps the dampness & dew from the blanket side. The blanket side is nice to sit on/ lay on.

It does not do well to wrap around a person on a chilly nite. The waterproof side makes the blanket to stiff/ bulky when you try to wrap it around yourself.

Checks off everything that I had been looking for in a picnic blanket — water-repellent and dries quickly, machine washable and easy to spot clean otherwise, light, soft, cool and comfortable in the summer heat, and rolls up with a carrying strap.

I’ve used it several times already for picnics and reading in the park. It’s perfect. I purchased the Cordovan design and I really like the calming colors. To be honest, the new designs overall don’t excite me too much (I previously tried to purchase one of the old designs, but they had to cancel my order because they oversold and it wasn’t available).

I was happy to see the Cordovan design added, which suits my tastes well enough :).

I would consider myself a long time lover of Eddie Bauer. I have noticed in the past few years quality has been off. I needed a lawn blanket and this was exactly what I needed. I have used it twice and the stitching has come undone from the flap to the blanket.

I know I can return it but have you tried working with their customer service? I am willing to drive 30 minutes to drive to my closest store and return this. I don’t plan on getting another one. I will go with another brand.

Very happy with this purchase! The blanket is compact and lightweight, and the color (I purchased the blue tie-dye pattern) is far more attractive (less white and more blue/green) than the website photo.

The blanket has already taken up residence in my car so it will always be there when needed. Well made and durable; this is going to get a lot of use for many years to come!.

Blanket is very thin, you can see through it. It’s large which is nice and can conveniently be placed back in the attached bag which is nice. But it offers really no extra softness or protection from the ground below.

And to top it off, it snagged in multiple places on first use. Maybe works okay for sitting just on soft sandy surfaces but didn’t meet my needs at all. I was hoping to use it at the park and I the back yard etc.

for my daughter to lay on, but I have to fold it on itself three times just to make it soft enough to be comfortable and not feel every little pokey blade of grass or anything beneath it. Bummed because they are really cute and nice they are washable and also love the weighted corners, but in order to make it functional for our needs I have to pack an additional blanket for for the baby to lay on on top of this blanket.

Kind of defeats the purpose.

For the price, I expected better quality, honestly. I like the size, we are a family of 5 and I was looking for a larger picnic blanket. However, a few of the drawback include: The material is thin. I felt pine needles poking straight through the blanket into my skin while sitting on top of the blanket.

Not ideal. The weighted corners are super lightweight. All choices of blanket are really white/light colored. When placed in the sun, it is BLINDING for the eyes. I did like the attached backpack idea, so anyway, I ended up rating this 3 stars.

It’s okay. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend to a friend.

My grown children and their spouses love the outdoors and picnic in parks often in nice weather. When we meet up, they always ask me to bring an old cotton king size bedspread we use to put the food on and sit on.

We also have a beach condo where we meet and the old bedspread is used on the beach. I saw these blankets and liked the features: the carry bag, zipper pouch, stakes, the size and weighted corners. I got one for each of my kids.

They loved it and are excited to actually have a water resistant, sand resistant blanket for the outdoors. We have not tried to wash it yet or challenge the water & sand resistance claims but it is a great size and we expect it will get much use from both of them.

I like how this blanket has a lifetime warranty, is machine washable, has a small pocket to store things, and the bottle opener is a nice touch. It’s not that heavy and is easy to roll back into its packable form.

My biggest complaint is that it could be more waterproof. To be fair I’ve only used it once and the spot we picked was pretty wet/muddy from typical PNW post rain weather/moisture. Our pant bottoms were wet when we were done eating, but they would’ve been a lot worse without the blanket.

I’m curious to see how it fares in other environments and will probably update this review if neccessary. I think it will pair nice with the REI Co-op Outdoor Blanket I have from a previous purchase.

However, for the price (I bought the large), I wouldn’t expect you’d need another blanket. I would definitely recommend for friends in dryer or sandier clients.

We received this off our babyshower registry. On paper we love everything about this mainly that it is large enough to spread out the family and let the baby roam. The size is incredible and makes every picnic feel luxurious and comfortable.

The downside is that the face fabric is cheap/rough/snags easily and both sides (face and water-resistant backing) were unusually worn after just one summer of regular use. We still enjoy and use it a lot but high cost and low resilience means we will probably not replace it once this one fails us.

Amazing festival blanket. Grass was a bit damp and muddy. No sweat with this waterproof bottomed blanket. Lots of room to share with friends and for baby to walk and roll around on. Also heavier weight helps it stay put in the wind.

Love love it, So glad I splurged. Will definitely get our moneys worth out of this one.

I bought this with the intention to use it as a “rug” in the living room for my pets. I don’t have rugs in the house and don’t plan on ever having them because its just as bad as having carpet. nasty! My pets want something to lay on other than bare floors though.

They like it, and it does not move around. The only thing I haven’t done yet is wash it.

I’m happy I found this. I used to always have a blanket in my car for whatever needed. whether picnics or to protect stuff I load. the problem with the blanket is that it always ended up unfolding. with this I got rid of the blanket and now have a nice and neatly packed roll that is way better for picnic than my blanket.

Bought this just a week back and yesterday used it for the 1st time and just after spreading it on the grass it got one hole due to small dried tree particles on the grass its really thin going to return it.

You will not be cold for long. IR reflective material will have you LARPing as the shiniest of burritos under the hottest of food service lamps. Good to keep a few of these handy in the car, backpack, bug-out-bag, or pantry.

Can be used to help reduce risk of shock when treating people in need of care. BE SURE to use 2 of them- one to insolate against the ground, which can and will drain heat away. Can reliably be used to pretend to be spaceman and or Aluminum-foil man.

Kind of expensive- there are cheaper ones out there.

Why didn’t I like to sleep outdoors? One reason: losing heat to the ground. Throwing this little fella under my sleeping pad has totally solved that problem! I would definitely recommend these. They might not be great for expeditions due to the bulk/weight.

But, for setting up a long-term camping arrangement? I am going to buy a second one for use over the fly/ to protect us from snowfall. One small suggestion to MEC: I spent ages searching for this! It doesn’t come up when I queried ‘tarp,’ despite the fact that this is more of a tarp than a blanket! It also wasn’t listed in either emergency preparedness or in camping supply sections, of using words like ‘reflective’ or ‘space.

My Doggo Larry Boomer loves this thing. It is the classiest jacket I’ve seen on the market. It is so easy to put on and works really well with a collar or harness. It just looks so good on him. We’ve used it a few times so far this fall when its been “chilly” mostly to get him used to it; he’s taken to it very fast! I actually bought the next size up already so that if he grows out of the small he won’t miss a beat this winter.

The blue blanket is of good quality for its price. It is waterproof at the back and a soft fleece on the top. I’ve used it only once so cannot comment on how long it lasts. The only disappointment was that in the description (online), the blanket seem to be washable.

However its label says otherwise! I bought this as the description said it could be washed.

Nice design. Good size. Easy to roll after use, but may take a couple attempts so that it fits back into the strap neatly! Also a slightly longer carry strap would be great, so that you could put over your shoulder (like a handbag).

Other than that, although there are similar cheaper versions on the market I’m happy with this one — thank you :).

Exactly what I wanted: a waterproof picnic blanket big enough to fit 4 people comfortably (could definitely fit more). Got compliments on the colour as well! My friend dropped coffee and it came off easily with just a damp tissue.

I think the strap could be a bit more sturdy (it’s not leather, rather more like plastic) but it was a reasonable price and really is beautiful. Can’t wait for more sunny picnic days.

I saw these advertised on Instagram. I was immediately intrigued and the product looked like it could be great, but also cautious. Whenever I see something I might be interested in I spend a lot of time researching the product to find out if it’s genuinely good or just ad spam.

After reading a few reviews and trawling a couple of websites I hit go on the shopping basket. The Cloudtouch blanket arrived really quickly and I wasn’t disappointed, the feel and quality was as I hoped.

It’s very satisfying when you purchase something online that meets your high expectations. My partner immediately purchase a second one and we will be investing in the picnic blankets next and probably two of the smaller cloudtouch blankets for our girls.

They seem a bit expensive but the fact that they use recycled materials and feel incredible well made and durable gives me the confidence that they will be a worthwhile investment. They’re also beautiful, but a lot of the nicest designs were sold out.

If you can afford it, I would highly recommend them.

Excellent blanket for camping and general outdoors with easy press stud fixings to change the way you use it. The fleecy lining feels really nice and cosy. I used this for wild camping up in the shropshire hills and kept me nice and warm, however the compression for packing is not the best, it’s quite a big pack size.

The travel one would probably be best for me rather than the cloudtouch. Versatility of being able to make into a sleeping bag or pillow as well as just a blanket is brilliant and it’s also something the wife and I use inside for cosy nights on the sofa.

The quality seems really good, although I think the placement of the zip for the pillow would be better of placed in the middle and out of the way. Overall a really good product and I featured it on one of my you tube videos THAT UNFIT BLOKE, so if u wanted take a look.

Will be buying the travel as well now hoping it compresses down a bit further and I love the fact its made from recycled products.

Bought the Harvest Moon colourway in cloud touch, after previously purchasing the standard fleece blanket and a travel blanket. This isn’t a backpacking blanket of course but is amazing for the camper van or keeping in the back of the car for emergencies or unexpected sleep over’s at a friend’s house.

It is super soft and warm against the skin, like sheepskin fleece. I am 6 foot tall and slim-med build and found it a comfortable size when poppered up to make a “sleeping bag. ” It adds a very effective layer of insulation for chilly nights in the van or tent and I am sure it would be equally good for indoor use in a chilly house.

Looks great and very functional. It is also easy to roll up and fit into the stuff sack. many such things don’t get used because this is a pain to do.

As a parent of 4 kids who all play outdoor summer sports, we go a lot of places and it’s hard to drag around enough chairs to sit on when we go to practices and games. Most of the places we go don’t have bleachers or anywhere else to sit but the grass, so we really need something to sit on and blankets that are small enough to carry around aren’t thick enough to be comfortable.

Enter the Outdoor mat! This thing is awesome especially with the fold up into a bag with a strap style! This is so handy and has become very useful. Its light and easy to carry with the long strap that’s attached to it and it folds up pretty small so that it’s smaller than carrying a diaper bag, but can unfold to seat several people on it.

It keeps us off the damp, dirty ground and comfortable enough to sit on it for extended periods of time. I love it and I won’t leave home without it when we are going to be outside. Once warmer weather comes we spend a lot of time at the beach and this will be great for using there as well! If you spend time outdoors and have a need for carting chairs around or blankets this solves a huge problem! No more dragging bulky chairs around or carrying blankets to places you need to be able to sit! If something happened to this one I would immediately get another one, now that I have had it I can’t imagine going back to anything else for my kids games or outdoor stuff.

After way too much research on outdoor blankets, I got this mat a couple weeks ago and have already used it for several picnics in the park. It’s plush, I love that it folds up easily and has a velcro closure and carrying strap.

The only thing I don’t love is that I haven’t been able to fully clean off some mud stains from the surface. Otherwise, I highly recommend!.

My son is five months old and 100th percentile in height (27. 5 inches tall. ) I mention this only because there have been many reviews saying this walker isn’t ideal for tall babies. The lowest height setting is perfect for him right now, so even though he is tall he is will fit in this for a long time.

Which is good because he absolutely LOVES this Walker!! I have heard and read bad things about walkers lately so I talked to both his pediatrician and a pediatric orthopedist prior to using this Walker.

They not only approved, but also encouraged us to use a Walker. He loves being upright and being able to freely move both arms to play with all his toys. I have already recommended this Walker to all of my mommy friends.

This looked like a nice picnic blanket, really pretty pattern. Waterproof on one side, plush and soft on the other, what could be better? Well, we took this to the beach. It was placed on rocks, sand, bits of wet seaweed, you name it! And because my daughter fell in the ocean and got more cold and wet than expected, it was also the emergency wet kid “get you in a blanket” station.

The magic thing: it shook out clean. Like, even the soft plush side was clean. The waterproof side was clean. It looked brand new! I’d buy this 10,000x over.

Absolutely gorgeous. Water resistant at the bottom and soft on top. Perfect for a picnic or beach. I got the Mandala pattern and was very happy with how it looked. Easy to pack up and rolls into a bag with handles.

Not very heavy and worth the price. I hope to buy more soon! Love all natural life products. It pairs well with the basket, beach umbrella, drink cozie set and large tote bag I bought from here for a lovely picnic.

This was somewhat of an impulse buy. I’ve been eyeing this blanket thing for a while. Finally pulled the trigger and gotta say it’s pretty sweet! I got the black and blue color and it looks nice. Kept me pretty warm while camping and the hood was nice while I bundled up in the morning walking around the campsite.

Used is as a blanket while sleeping too and it trapped the heat pretty well! The material seems to be high quality and really durable… would make a good matt to lay on at the park. The material is a bit stiff at first which kind of made it hard to drape over my shoulders comfortably and the hood fit a bit awkward but the clips helped keep it in place.

Maybe the material will soften up with more use. Could be cool if there were some sort of zippers you could put your arms through or something to make it more wearable. Packs down pretty small! Great peice of gear.

Having taken the time to go over this product, i have figured it to be a useful picnic blanket. Good wind breaker at burning man and shield from a possible sand storm. From the photos it does look silkier than a piece of tarpoline, which folds and feels like one.

Colors are exceptional. Quality and fabric of material grade and stitching is tough and rugged enough to be dragged through the mud and hosed down and hung to dry after a weekend camping in the sticks and then hit a lawn/beach festival.

I would have issues with the buckle snaps getting snagged and somehow pulling a seem(unlikely). Size is good if your six feet tall to parka this full/double sized bed blanket, im 5’10” and it just touches the floor to be a drag.

But i still like it for its multiple purpose. And this was all thought through just by looking at it in my hands. Overall id give the product a 7. 4 out of 10 for design concept. Id give this review process a 2out of 10 for the software.

Got the dancing bear Grateful Dead blanket. It fits my Xterra van life bed perfectly. We enjoyed using it at gem and jam and other concerts and I got many compliments on it. It’s a little crunchy, but I just imagine I am a giant granola bar in a wrapper waiting for a bear to eat me and I fall right asleep.

It’s excellent quality and someone will steal it long before I ever wear it out. Good luck ever getting in back in the gear pouch.

I’ve been thinking about buying something like this blanket for some time and finally decided to pull the trigger on it (having $10 in Moosejaw rewards to spend helped push me into the “buy now” category).

We’ve been very satisfied with this outdoor blanket and love that we can put it down and with the waterproof side not have to worry about residual moisture that might be in the ground/foliage soaking through.

The other side is soft and makes a great place to lie down or sit to enjoy a picnic lunch or outdoor event. We picked the nighttime scene on the non-waterproof side as it’s a little less loud than some of the other patterns available and we really like it.

(I did tell my wife that I think that the more colorful pattern could make picking her out in a crowd of concert-goers a little easier as it would be easier to see but overall we like the nighttime scene better.
