20 Best Waterproof Couch Cover (2022 Updated)

Love everything. Except it DOES NOT stay in place. Iv had it on the couch 5 days and iv already readjusted it at least 100 times a day. If u got kids dont got with one od this style.

Great cover. Soft and stays in place. Bought the peacock blue and love the color! Nice and bright. Washed up nicely. Would buy again.

They all run very small. Total $138.83 for 4 covers. Not impressed in the least.

We are not using this for indoor furniture. We have patio furniture with big thick cushions that take forever to dry out after getting wet. We have tried several covers and the spray on water repellent.

We live in South Florida where the weather/sun is brutal so I waited to see how this cover did before leaving this review. This cover is the best. We can leave it on 24/7 and even after tropical storm Fred came through with heavy rains, the cushions are dry and not getting mold.

Our previous covers for the rainy season were heavy vinyl custom made by the local awning company. They hung down on the sides and after the rains stopped and the patio was wet, steam would form from the hot wet patio underneath causing mold/mildew to form along the sides of the cushions.

These don’t do that, they lay against the cushions protecting them from rain and wet swimming dogs then dry completely with no steam trapped underneath. As I stated earlier, the sun is brutal down here so we will see how long it lasts, but the description of the cover does not say indestructible, but so far we are very happy.

I only purchased one to start and covered our double chaise (pictured) and just placed an order for two more to cover our chair/ottomans on the other side of the patio. We can swim with the dogs and enjoy actually sitting on the cushions without worry now.

Even the dogs are happy the cushions are back out on swim days as well as being out all the time for “their” comfort. I do have to use elastic straps (sheet keepers) to keep the winds from blowing the covers up, uncovering the cushions when the wind/rains come thru, but we are completely happy with this cover.

Like I said, the cover is on 24/7 because the south Florida sun dries it out quickly. The other lighter weight covers we tried trapped water inside the cover itself – pooling at the bottom and eventually making the underneath side of the cover wet, then causing the cushions to get wet; a waste of money.

I RECOMMEND THESE COVERS 100%.

This was the answer to my prayers. I was tired of stacking blankets on my sofa to keep my baby’s wee wee off my cushions. This blanket is fantastic. It is very large and soft on both sides. I simply put it down first, then lay another blanket on top and it is working like a charm.

I plan to order another one!.

I ordered this for my loveseat that my pups won’t stay off of, then bought another because it worked so well. I know it is actually a sofa sized cover, but it works much better and keeps my loveseat covered instead of being skimpy on the sides like some loveseat sized ones are apt to do.

I fold the sides completely under and tuck any excess into my cushions and also tuck the front lower edge under cushions as well and then add my pillows and presto, it looks great and stays on and neat with the dogs.

Then the material is very soft, it’s actually more cozy than the upholstery fabric on my loveseat ! The best part is that I can take it outside and shake it and my blond dog’s short hair comes right off (similar to laborador retriever hair).

All covers that I’ve had in the past, her hair would not shake off !!! This would also work great on top of a bed for a pet cover or in the dog bed if the waterproof side would be needed. Can’t say enough for this cover, works great for me!.

I have a black lab whose fur is left behind wherever she goes, including the side of my bed on which she is allowed. She is not allowed on my side of the bed because I don’t want fur all over it. I used to use just an extra sheet or duvet cover to protect my nice duvet cover.

While it did the job, it was hard to keep the amount of fur that stuck to it, to a minimum. Black lab fur has some kind of point on the end that makes it unable to “brush it off” with a swipe of your hand.

I had totally forgotten that Surefit made a cover I could use on my bed (I have a cover on my sofa, which I have used since I got my lab; that was 4 years ago and the sofa looks brand new!). I got this one because I did not need the arm covers.

I also liked that it was reversible and the soft blush color goes great with my decor. A feature I consider a super bonus, not only can I “hand swipe” fur off of it, but with the upholstery attachment on my small vacuum I can clean all the fur off in just minutes.

Its great. No mounds of fur if my dog gets on and off the bed multiple times. You may be wondering why I docked a star since I’ve said only positive things. Well, while the cover may be waterproof (which I know because Surefit says so, not because my dog has ever had an accident on my bed), it does not appear to be stain proof.

I have not yet thrown it in the wash, and admittedly the stain on it may wash out. However, my dog has anal gland issues and sometimes she leaks. I assumed a cover like this would allow me to use cold water and a rag to wipe off the stain.

I was incorrect. I tried and it is still there, it did get a little lighter, but it is still very visible. I know that a little spray & wash before throwing it into the wash will remove any stain on it.

But I don’t want to have to wash it several times a week (thats why I love that it vacuums clean). That said, I would recommend it to a friend, but I’d mention the lack of stain-resistence too.

Bought this because we have a new puppy, a visiting dog with occasional incontinence issues, and a toddler. Toddler tested the waterproof quality of this product by dumping an entire supply cup of water on it – couch was completely dry underneath! Happy it was tested with water first so I feel confident about potential puppy piddle.

We ordered this Surefit cover in the sable color and have used it for nearly one year. It was washed and dried and still looks new. We are very pleased with the quality and appearance. We ordered the same cover in the burgundy red to use at a later date.

Both colors coordinate with our Karastan area rug. We hope Surefit continues to carry this particular cover. Quality leather is rather slick, so we must adjust the arm covers frequently. We pinned four fishing weights to the back of the cover which keeps it from sliding forward.

We attached smaller ones to the ends of the arm cover which help hold those in place. Thanks Surefit! Now we can relax with our Maltese and enjoy our new sofa.

We eat, drink, and share our living room furniture with kids and pets. These covers are truly waterproof, hold up to daily use, and launder beautifully. After laundering, they are heavy, even after a maximum spin.

I hang it to dry overnight on a stair rail and it’s ready to go. We keep a couple extra around, just in case. We purchased our first SureFit waterproof cover a few years ago and it is still in great shape.

The fabric and design have changed since then, but is still a product I highly recommend.

My 3 dogs are only allowed on the furniture in one room. So, needless to say, that’s where you’ll always find them. Before, I covered the sofas with blankets. That helped protect the leather but still allowed the hair to work behind and under the cushions.

I got the sofa and loveseat covers for that room. They work perfectly, protecting the leather against all those toenails and catches all that hair. I remove and wash them every week or two. They wash up great!.

I had a SureFit cover for years that was never quite wide enough for my rolled arm sofa, but still loved it. Finally had to replace it (only because the dog chewed holes in it). I was told the burgandy color was no longer available so I quickly ordered when I saw it.

It is perfect for my couch in terms of color and size. I learned long ago to purchase extra-long elastic sheet straps (from a 3rd party) to secure the fabric under the seat cushions. Works like a charm.

I have had this for almost four years now and it’s still going strong. The seam at the bottom is starting to pull away, but that’s from my dog’s nails as he’s climbing up onto the couch (he’s a big boy).

It would be easy enough to fix if I weren’t planning on getting a sectional soon. I will order the armless chair cover from the same brand when I do, and just use it on the bottom cushions. I’m impressed with how cozy this is and how well it stays in place compared to other covers I’ve used.

These covers are terrific. They are sturdy, look good, and last for years. The tie-downs really secure the covers, so even storm winds won’t blow them loose.

purchased this cover as I wanted a lighter material for the summer. I picked a great choice. Material is quality but light and airy for the summer time. I love the beach look and it was done in vibrant colors and very tasteful.

If you have a longer bigger coach this might not work. More for a two seater rather than a 3 seater. I did wash it before using and tumble dried for 10 minutes and the air drIed. It showed no signs of shrink and came out wrinkle free.

I love this sofa cover! It is a lightweight quilted design with a white background, aqua marine life prints and deep tan/ sand color script and marine life prints. It provides complete cover for my sofa( I have a dog who likes to jump onto the sofa to nap).

I have a standard size sofa. The price is very good for this cover and I also purchased the loveseat cover. It washes and dries well- no shrinkage.

It’s pretty, and the fabric is nice and goes with my beachy decor. However, there’s nothing to keep it in place. The section over the back was always falling down. Plus, it’s not wide enough for my loveseat! I ended up putting it on my big comfy chair instead & bought something completely different that fits so much better and has a band across the back to keep it in place.

It does launder nicely. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have an active family.

I love this cover. I bought two for my large chairs and one for oversized sofa. The covers are very durable and fit perfectly. I love the light gray color. They are very easy to put on my patio furniture.

This cover is exactly what I wanted to slip over a large wicker couch, protecting the wicker and the cushions when it rains. The couch is an odd shape being 4′ high at the back, as well as quite long and wide.

This product is roomy enough to cover it beautifully. I spent a lot of time looking at covers on-line to find the best fit and value. The material is strong and durable, but pliant and easy to slip on and off.

Bought this as a cover for a regular couch to have outside and it fits great. Size is larger then what is given but fits great since the couch I have is larger. Very happy looking forward to having it protect from UV and rain.

This couch cover has saved my couch on so many occasions. It is worth every penny. My dog has a sensitive digestive system and throws up fairly often. He loves throwing up on either the couch or the carpet and every single time, the couch cover has saved the couch.

He even had explosive diarrhea all over the living room. I was so thankful for it. It also washes super easy in the washing machine.

Perfect couch cover for this cat lady! Soft, good looking, and water resistant. Fits my ikea couch perfectly. Only non-love is the stay in place band, planning to remove those.

I bought a bunch of these, but not waterproof. My daughter is toilette training and I needed waterproof. This is perfect! Protects from accidents and any other liquid spills. The kids also love the super soft side.

I got the extra large and it fits our 72″ length sofa perfectly. It washes well too! I will probably buy more!.

I bought this to match the same ones for my outdoor chairs and it fits well and looks great.

I have a decades old loveseat that survived 5 kids and several pets. The kids are grown now, but the pets are still here and still very hard on the couch (one is 13 years old with bladder control problems, so a new couch is out of the question at this point).

The loveseat upholstery has so many holes in it and just looks bad. So I put a waterproof pad over the back and seat and covered it with this and it looks so much better, not scary like it was before.

I added a couple of brightly colored throw pillows and now it actually looks inviting to sit on. I did this before Christmas to test it out and my senior girl has not soaked through to the cushions yet, the cover itself has been washed several times and is holding up well, and it vacuums easily, since my senior girl is white and the cover is black.

It is easy to remove and put back on which is a plus since I have been removing it to wash around once a week. It will keep my old loveseat going until we can buy a new one, and I can sit on the loveseat and cuddle my senior girl for as long as God allows her to stay with me.

This is not waterproof – after every rain the cushions are covered with water. I will be calling for a full refund. Otherwise its a nice-looking cover, and functional if you live in a location with no rain.

Love this couch cover!!!!! It’s super easy to put on my couch. And most important to me how incredibly easy it is to clean. Dog hair doesn’t stick to this at all. After a quick laundry cycle it’s looking brand new again.

This cover worked terrific for what I was looking for, a cheap couch covering to help protect it from our pup at a minimal. It fit our conventionally shaped couch very well. It is soft and nice to lay on.

We have a reusable lint roller to help with pet hair and that works just fine. For the price, the product is well worth what I spent and I would recommend it.

These have straps to hold then onto your furniture. I washed immediately upon arrival. The fit is good. The color is not accurate at all. This shows a vibrant blue. In reality, they are a dusty, toned down blue.

So if you’re looking for the color pictured to match other products you own, I don’t recommend. If you just need a basic toned down dusty turquoise, then I do recommend, as they are durable and washable and fit well.

Overall, I do recommend, as I have purchased in different colors previously, and with 2 dogs pretty much using them daily, the material held up. The color does fade within a year of washing weekly, but that’s to be expected with this type of material.

They are soft, as well, and comfortable.

My hubby is disabled and goes from bed to the sofa. I so wish I would have put one of these on my sofa before his body oils permanently discolored it. I tried putting a sheet on it for him and it was constantly slipping.

This has elastic straps that hold the back cover up but you do have to tuck in the seat and sides for the arm covers. It is definitely helping.

I’ve had other chair protectors in the past but they all shifted and needed constant readjustment. This one stays put! The band that goes around the back helps it in place. The side pockets are an added convenience that keeps my side table free of clutter.

I purchased two sizes of these furniture protectors: The sofa size, and the chair size. As another reviewer stated, they are very easy to wash AND dry. I did have to alter them a bit: I had to change the position of the elastic on the chair because my chair is just a plain chair, not a recliner; and, I had to do the same to the one I bought for my sofa.

I just cut off one end and reattached it in a better position. I also added about 12″ (from the old cover) to the part on the sofa cover that hangs over the back. I gave this an Excellent because of its ease of care.

However, the manufacturer really could add more length to the part that hangs over the back of the sofa cover.

I have 3 Pitties we rescued, the only sleep on the couch or in the chairs. I bought my first set of these in early March, every night my Pitties insist on “nesting” by bunching up the covers, these have endured their nightly pawing and digging with their sharp claws.

I purchased this cover a couple of weeks ago for a smaller loveseat. While it was a little longer than my loveseat it still fits great! I used the foam rolls and also purchased the stay put plastic pieces from LTD and it stays put even after sitting on it.

Having bought new rattan outdoor furniture with all-white cushions last year, I naively assumed they would maintain their fresh new look with a bit of “wiping off” next Spring. To the contrary, I learned Mother Nature can flawlessly paint the color of pure filth on such fabric through the winter.

So, I made a “witch’s brew” of bleach, water and dish detergent and used a sturdy scrub brush to bring back the beauty of fine furniture encircling my pool. Unfortunately, the ungloved process also debrided the skin from my hands.

Vowing “Never Again”, I ordered one of Frontgate’s Universal Sofa Covers to compare the quality of the fabric and fit to covers available locally. There was no comparison! The fabric far exceeded weight and durability of readily available covers and the appearance was as good as the cushion fabric when new.

Have a couple of chairs I leave on the front porch throughout the year. During the winter it gets quite cold with lots of rain and some snow in Washington. These chair covers are a lovely grey that matches the house.

Covers the chair completely and protects the chairs from the elements. Good quality, thick material. The chairs are in a covered outside space so even when it rains the chairs stay dry with these covers.

These chair covers are a great fit and look for our outdoor deck chairs. I ordered them in light gray and we are very satisfied with our purchase. The material is excellent quality and they should last a few years.

We bought the product to protect our oversized leather “L” shaped sofa (14′ x 4′) from our two cats. There’s nothing on the market that fits it so I bought three of these and draped them over the sofa.

The backing keeps them in place and the color is a very pleasing, neutral beige. (So don’t let the color “Cement “lead fool you. Cement is a pure light beige, not a yellow beige or pink beige. I think ours are all the same color but when I draped them on the couch they look like they are different colors.

I think it’ the way the piling falls. They are not tucked in using the Tuck Tight because we have the sofa covered in vinyl (to protect it from those nasty cat claws) and these on top. They are much nicer than in the picture.

Great quality and doesn’t look like the normal pet cover. The only draw back for us is that we live in Florida and they are very warm because they’re polyester. I took a few pictures so you can hopefully see the color and how the color looks differnet when draped over the sofa.

Now on a normal size sofa all tucked in they would look great but we’re very happy with them.

The cover looks good. Still a little frumpy and bunches on the seat. I guess that’t just the nature of covers. A seam is already coming apart and a replacement is on the way. Hopefully, the replacement will hold up better.

There was no reason for the seam to come apart after just a couple of weeks of use.

The fabric has a rich appearance, and a shallow plush as we had hoped. The cover drapes nicely and is flexible. The part we like right off the bat with our leather sofas is the the skid-free nibs on the back that seem like they really will keep the cover in place.

We hope the rubber nibs do not leave marks on the leather over time. Would have liked arm covers, also would like a loveseat sizing. Neither are offered.
