20 Best Waterproof Hair Clippers (2022 Updated)

Not bad for the cost. Regulator body is make of sintered metal. Tried to put a better quality quick disconnect on and the body broke off. Replaced it with an older one in my shop. Dont have enough hours on it to give a performance review.

Good Small Compressor! Took about 10 minutes to mount wheels and handle, and ready to work! Not too noisy. Holds pressure well. If you need a smaller sized yet powerful (150 psi) compressor, this is a nice little unit!.

I was sceptical about this as the suctions can be rubbish on other products, but this one has a super strong suction and a great price.

I purchased the Wahl Color Trimmer Kit because my 10+year old trimmer, a Phillips Norelco Grooming Kit G485 battery would no longer hold a charge. With the Norelco I could never get a clean one-length cut which was the one thing I hated with the trimmer.

This Wahl Color Trimmer solved that problem, no more uneven length cuts with balding or scalped areas. I especially like the Secure-Fit Guards with large, easy-to-see comb sizes that are color coded, and YES, they will give you the length you want with no ‘scalping’ and uneven cuts of facial hair.

The colored Secure-Fit Guards are easy to snap into place, although I do wonder how these plastic snap-clips will wear over time with the constant removal for cleaning the blade area. The Wahl Color Trimmer is powerful, not overly noisy and feels great in the hand.

I’m hoping to get many years of use and the price was excellent, under thirty bucks. The kit came with an Ear & Nose Trimmer which I have not used yet. Before the first use, I charged the trimmer for 24-hours and the red led light on the front of the trimmer stays on while charging; it does not go off or turn ‘green’ to let you know when the trimmer is charged, something I wish it did.

All-in-all I’m very happy with the Wahl Color Trimmer I purchased from Sam’s Club. Shipping was extremely fast as is custom with the Sam’s Club Plus Membership.

As some people say, you have to be careful because it will pull hairs. The trick avoid this is to GO SLOW. I do not recommend using this as your main clipper, it’s more of a cleanup tool, but if you don’t rush it you can do a complete haircut, but I’d advise that you use something bigger and more powerful as a “knockdown” clipper and use the Peanut for fine tuning.

Otherwise, for its size this is a powerful clipper that performs wonderfully, and cuts close to totally bald! I’ve never had a clipper cut so close, and that includes the Wahl balding clipper! It’s light and comfortable to use, and never gets too hot.

As an added bonus, it has a detachable blade that is inexpensive to replace. I love this little clipper, and if you keep it regularly oiled and cleaned it should last for years.

In my 33 years of hairdressing this is probably my 7th or 8th set of these trimmers. I started out using the ones that were cordless and had to be charged every night but these with the cord are the best thing ever.

My first set lasted me a long time. It was the smooth outside case but I do like the texture better. Better gripping power. I’ve had white, purple but my favorite was a koi fish design on it. I believe I bought that one in Amherst NY.

I just cut my own hair, lol well, whatever I have left, but it works very well and I did a lot of research before I bought it like I do with everything I buy.

Easier to cut my hair myself because no wires is stopping me, just don’t wear the cap because if you are cutting your hair yourself then once you move hand, all hairs will be on bathroon floor. Easy to charge with the charging cable included and long battery life.

Feels well built. The product doesn’t feel cheap. It’s really durable, might work perfectly even when accidentally drop. I like that it’s not too light or too heavy. It didn’t make my arm tires while cutting myself.

It also comes with a 1 year warranty. The “adjustment knob” and combs are good for many length for myself but may need few more comb length. Since, I love this clipper, so much I decided to maintain it oil and brush.

The great thing about this clipper is wet and dry feature so use can wash it after every use and also save you time to clean it with brush. It’s nice and quite! Even the packaging it comes in is beautiful.

I honestly can’t believe I payed less than $50 for this. So my suggestion, buy this thing before the company decided to charge more because of the quality of the product.

Amazing clippers, I didn’t receive the first one I ordered but they Definitely handled the situation professionally. I’ve ordered lots of different clippers and none of them has ever included as much pieces as this set does.

The clippers are very powerful even with low battery and cut the hair really good. It easy to change the clips and doesn’t feel cheap. The clippers also from what I’ve noticed charge pretty fast if you run out of battery.

In all honestly very good bang for the buck clippers.

The manual leaves a bit to be desired….doesn’t attempt to identify all the parts. Otherwise feels solid in my hand and is sharp! I have no complaints other than the manual.

I have purchased 2 Mangroomers and after the first I was convinced I was a lifetime customer until this last purchase. The blades no longer cut through my back hair and seem to not be made as quality as they used to be.

My first model didn’t have a problem going through my forest of hair but now even with the power boost all it does is tug and rip hair out. The overall quality just seems to be downgraded after making such a quality product and gaining good reviews and supporters.

I’m highly disappointed that such a good product can’t even do the one thing it claims to do, man groom. I will no longer be using this companies products based on the change in blade quality and the inability to cut my back hair.

I have had very short hair for probably 20 years now. There’s only so many options you have when your hair decides it doesn’t want to grow anymore. As far as I’m concerned, I had two options. I could let it bother me and spend all kinds of money and effort trying to get my hair back in one way or another OR I could go for the military buzz and keep it short.

I chose the latter and it’s worked out well for me. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, I would have my head buzzed every 10 – 14 days because I like to keep it as short as possible. Even when my hair is long (14 – 28 days without being buzzed), it’s not very long at all.

It’s manageable and able to be easily buzzed. I have a friend who works for SportClips and before the world shut down, I would give her my business every two weeks. She would keep my head buzzed and I would contribute to her career but since that option is currently unavailable, I decided ManGroomer might be a great alternative for me.

I thought of ManGroomer because I purchased “THE BACKGROOMER™” awhile back and it works just fine. Unlike the Backgroomer, my experience with the ULTIMATE PRO Self-Haircut Kit was not a good one. The clipper did not cut properly.

I used several of the guards, I tried cutting without a guard and I even tried plugging in as opposed to cutting on the battery power thinking I would get more power, but the results were the same in each attempt – painful and ineffective.

The clippers pulled my hair as opposed to cutting in all of my attempts. Thankfully, I have a proper set of Wahl brand hair clippers in my closet that I was able to use to shave my head without any issues after the ManGroomer Self-Cutting Kit failed me.

The packaging was fantastic. The timeliness of delivery was optimal. When I emailed the company for a return and refund request, they literally returned my email and gave me a refund within minutes. It couldn’t have been longer than 10 minutes.

I was incredibly impressed by the response. Not only did they issue me a refund but the team encouraged me to try a couple of more times with their product. All aspects other than the actual product itself were flawless on ManGroomer’s part.

For this reason, I will continue to buy products from ManGroomer because customer service goes a long way with me along with the fact that I bought another one of their products that I’ve had zero issues with.

I’m chalking this up as simply something that didn’t work for me. It may work for someone else and despite my negative experience with this particular line of ManGroomer’s product, I am not discouraged by the brand and I look forward to using more of their products in the future.

• Would not hold a charge – so reached out to company. Company responded, “Welcome to the mangroomer family”. lol • • After providing proof of purchase company email said they would send a complete replacement – and link to track – free of charge.

• The kicker: They then asked that I please leave a positive review but not to mention the replacement. TWO months no replacement – no link – no responses to repeated attempts – and out $$$. BBB complaint filed.

Used for the first time recently. Comparing to my old corded Wahl (with all metal construction), this one does feel a bit flimsy. The silver part on the main body keeps lifting up, which I have to keep pushing back in.

It feels like 50/50 plastic/metal construction. However, it cuts very well. The clips are very snug and it does not snag my hair while cutting. This one is a lot quieter than my old Wahl, so that’s a plus.

It comes with an organization case, which helps keep me from losing things. I do like that it’s cordless. Makes it much easier to cut mine and other people’s hair.

The larger hair trimmer works great for haircuts, with more attachments than I can count. But since the packaging showed a man with a beard, and there’s a smaller trimmer included, I presumed it was also good for trimming beards.

Unfortunately, the many attachments don’t fit the small trimmer, and the big trimmer is too clunky to effectively sculpt my beard. So despite the relatively high price tag and the big bundle of attachments, it doesn’t provide a good option for beards.

This isn’t my first Wahl purchase so I can say with confidence this is NOT one of their better trimers. I bought it because I was looking for a cordless option. It felt bulky and slippery in my hands.

I cut my husband and sons hair. I’m not petit so if I say Its bulky its not cuz I have small hands. The whole thing is also smooth so its not ergonomic to hold and once you turn it on and it starts buzzing it gets even worse to hold on too.

It was very uncomfortable even for a 10 min haircut. The other thing that was annoying is how the sizing lever kept getting stuck on the seam of the trimmer. Returning it!.

I was given the new Panasonic ER-SC40-K811 Hair Clipper to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program. After opening the well packaged clipper it was immediately obvious that the ergonomics of this clipper were far superior to any clipper I have used previously.

It feels much better to hold and manouvre around my head, it’s lighter than others and being rechargeable there are no restrictive cables to contend with. Operating the ER-SC40 is simple with minimal controls and only one detachable comb head instead of a variety that most other clippers have.

Using the hair clipper for me was great, I keep my hair very short as I am somewhat folically challenged, the whole head clipping with this machine was completed in half the time compared to my existing clippers, being able to introduce water to clean the head and blades was liberating, I was never at ease using my old wired clippers in the bathroom anyway.

The quality of the cut was again far better than I was used to and as I mentioned earlier I didn’t have to sweep over the same spot numerous times to achieve a good cut. Charging the battery initially was quick, on opening the box the charge level was low, I plugged in the charger and in a very short period the charge was complete.

After using it the charge level had hardly moved, so no need to use this clipper with the power cord attached although you could if you needed to. Being curious about the Panasonic ER-SC40-K811 hair clipper, I Googled it and was surprised to find youtube video’s with instructions on how to use the clipper, a nice touch I thought.

I also discovered the price this retails at which is considerably more than I have ever paid for clippers in the past. With other makes of clipper I don’t feel the blades stay sharp for very long despite oiling them as instructed, this invariably leads me to buy new clippers.

The cutting blades on the ER-SC40-K8 can be purchased and replaced very easily.

I’ve owned Wahl clippers in the past, but they were the home use models. I didn’t like how they snagged on my hair all the time, they just seemed to lack the power to get the job done. So, I decided to upgrade to a PRO use clipper, and I chose the Wahl Magic Clip, and I am so glad that I did.

The Wahl Magic Clip uses a rotary motor, so a different design then your typical electromagnetic. It does come with a taper lever like many Wahl clippers, but this model uses a stagger tooth blade. This is the recent upgraded model that comes with the 5v battery system for the claimed 100-minute runtime.

I like the fact that the clipper comes with a separated charger adapter, it is a high efficiency 2-amp output charger, that can both charge the clippers, or, allow you to operate the clippers with the cord attached! This particular kit comes with the standard guide combs, a hair comb, bottle of oil, and the operators manual.

I felt that the standard guide combs were OK, but they did have some flex in them, and I didn’t feel like they were quality, I would have proffered if the premium guides came with the kit. So I purchased the premium guide combs, and thats what I use instead of the standard ones.

Unlike my old clippers, the Magic Clips allows me to cut through my thick and course wiry hair like butter. And also unlike my old clippers, the Magic Clips do not allow hair to stay and clog the blade, it gets rid of the hair.

The rotary motor is certainly louder then the electromagnetic motors, but the noise isn’t that bad. I am extremely happy with my Wahl Magic Clip, especially since I upgraded to the premium guide combs, that secure better with metal clips, and are more durable.

Also, get yourself a better clipper cleaning brush, the one that comes in the kit is OK but not the best either. Also, for clarification, I purchased this clipper for home use, this just demonstrates the quality that I wanted, and how much I was willing to spend to get said quality.

I have only used this once but it worked well. I bought it as a beard trimmer as I am fed up with buying beard trimmers that take multiple passes to get to the length required. I bought this because I had seen a handful of people recommend it for this reason.

I used it without any attachments at its shortest setting. The stubble was very short, less than 1mm I would say, almost clean shaven but clearly with some growth. The cable power means it is clearly very powerful and did not slow down when going through my beard at all.

The cable could do with being longer only because I want to use it in my bathroom and I have to plug in outside the bathroom with an extension lead. The beard came off very easily, no real need for a second pass even (although I did for completelness).

Very pleased, and less than a quarter of the time i would normally spend with my Philips beard trimmer which was around 40. The clipper comes with the normal grade attachments from grade 1 upwards. This produces a cut of 3mm.

A 1/2 grade is available to buy seperately which provides a cut of of 1. 5mm I think, which is what my old bear trimmer was set to. However, without the attachment, I can adjust the cutting length – my first attempt was at its shortest, next time I will do its longest which I think could be around 1mm which is perfect for stubble look.

The clipper is heavy, (but feels solid and of good quality), it seems very capable for my needs, and because it is a cable version (rather than battery) I think will last some years. (All my other beard trimmers have died because batteries have failed in the end, rather than the clippers themselves).

Very happy with the purchase so far and I would recommend for beard/stubble trimming.

The cordless Magic Clip feels solid and it’s easy to operate. For novice like me, make sure read the instructions particularly the blades alignment part. Using the cutting guides takes trials and errors.

For regular haircut, I would start with a 8mm cutting guide and work my way down to a 3mm one. Cutting the hairline needs practice.

Praktisch ist der Aufsatz, der fr die entsprechende Schneidelnge verschoben wird und nicht gegen einen anderen ausgetauscht werden mu.

Das Reinigen ist auch sehr gut mglich. Lediglich das Netzteil htte etwas kleiner ausfallen knnen. Der Schneider liegt sehr gut in der Hand, prsise Schnitte sind sehr gut mglich.

Took me a few minutes because this is bigger and a little heavier than my last WAHL trimmer, but it does a great job! Love the additional neck trimmer. My husband does too. Shaves the neck so smooth without “pinching” the skin.

Has so many attachments that we won’t use, but sure could have used the eyebrow trimmer attachment. That would have been great! But I used my smaller WAHL with the #1 attachment and it workd well.

I almost had buyers remorse. After buying this model, I was reading the reviews on another website. Seems like the Wahl Clipper Elite (about 1. 8X the cost) was better rated. Oh well, since mine was on order.

I received it, and used it. I couldn’t be happier. I don’t think I would have gained anything with the other model. The guards attach solidly and give a consistent cut. The cutters smoothly cut the hair with no pulling what so ever.

Great value. For the price of 1 hair cut, all my future cuts are FREE.

I am not professional hairstylist, but this is very easy to use. This trimmer has four different hair clippers that is very useful. It is so convenient to measure and trim hair. When I trimmed my husband sides hair, I didn’t need to use comb to measure.

I just used 1mm clipper to trim, it looked better than I used comb. Also I think the battery time is good enough to uses because it can last more than 1 hour. Overall, I recommend this trimmer.

i’ve been cutting my hair for about 4 or 5 years by myself and last one year with braun hc5090. ovelall quality is high, yet there are some cons that needed to be improved -most in the future products.

1. the blade width is narrower than the market standards. i guess that’s because the need of extra power but it can be solved by adding a greater battery. 2. the design of the comb adjustment button can become a mess quite easily.

i mean while trimming you can simply press it accidentally and change the your adjustment very easily. that’s a big design problem about the product. 3. well that’s not a con actually. i hope you think about additional combs for longer hair trimming for those who finds even the 14-35mm comb is shorter, like me.

i want to cut my hair much longer yet the option is very limited but you can solve this by producing additional combs. 4. continuing with the combs, i want to use hc5090 with beard trimming yet its performance isn’t fulfilling with beard trimming.

additional combs can solve this problem as well. 5. in this case another design problem is showing for future designs if you guys out there to decide to develop a wider blade width product : narrower blades is more compatible with beard trimming yet this can be solved as well wtih some ” extraordinary” comb designs.

anyways, for hc5090; its a good product with some important design failure. yet overall quality is high. if you guys decide to develop additional beard triimming specialized and longer hair adjustment combs i really really appreciate that.

I received my Braun Hair Clipper HC5090 and tried it out immediately. First thing I noticed is that the packaging is nice, it’s presentable and was easy to open. I hate those blister packs, so this was a pleasant uneventful unboxing, just how I like it.

In the package, I found the following items: 1) Braun Hair Clipper HC5090 2) Beard trimming attachment 3) Long hair trimming attachment 4) AC charger 5) Charging base station 6) Blade lubricating oil 7) Small brush 8) Travel pouch You’re supposed to let the battery charge when using products for the first time as they will discharge during shipping and extended periods before they end up in actual use, but I was happy to see the battery had more than enough juice for my first use.

I tried out the smaller beard attachment first, and immediately noticed how flexible the plastic veins were, and it did not feel high quality. The one thing that was secure, was the height adjustment.

There is a push tab slider mechanism to adjust the height, and it won’t budge as long as you keep your thumb off the button, which was actually a bit hard to do since it’s perfectly placed right where your thumb naturally rests while holding the clipper, and the lightest thumb press will release the lock and change the height.

The quality of the cut was great. For a device with fresh blades, I expect nothing less, and this did not disappoint. It makes a very big mess though, and hairs will get into every nook and cranny of the clipper, of which there are many.

Just after one use, I was finding hairs under the sliding locking mechanism and all over inside the device. It was difficult to clean and stow away, but I suppose that’s why the brush is provided. Overall it is an OK trimmer.

I just checked the prices online, and I really think this is too expensive for what you get. My go-to trimmer is the Philips Norelco 7300. It has a vaccum and battery monitor, along with a turbo function to speed up the motor.

It is priced similarly and in my opinion is far superior in terms of build quality, features, and functionality. That is the reason why I only give it 3/5 stars, because there are better products you can get for similar cost.

Have used a Braun electric shaver for years and during the pandemic I was motivated to buy my own hair clippers, so thought first of Braun. Reviews were consistently good. Clipper guard system easy to use and.

safehard to make a mistake, Clippers are small and light so easy to maneuver. 16 precise hair lengths differing by a couple mm, so you can take off exactly how much you want to remove. Simple thumb slide changes length.

My hair is relatively short and uncomplicated, so I do not make elaborate styling demands of the hardware, but it easily meets my needs for a neat, simple periodic trim. Can remove chord to run on battery, includes small cleaning brush, and blade lubricating oil.

I have cut my own hair for over 10 years. This is the third clipper I have purchased during that time. It’s the first one made by Remington. I read horror stories of some clippers, “. Pulling the hair out, not cutting it”.

I want my clipper to be light weight. This one is small and light weight. I have cut my hair two times with it so far. It cuts very smoothly and fast. It is easy to hold. It is slightly smaller than most clippers.

The blade easy detaches for cleaning. I don’t have anything negative to say about this product. I think it is well made, does a great job, and well worth the money.

I never used a clipper before myself. In fact I always preferred to pay a visit to a barber shop and give extra tip for scissor haircut (15+ years). The clippers usually hurt a lot or irritate the scalp.

Now with a pandemic outside the barber shops are all closed and I totally had to try something out. This particular clipper didn’t disappoint. I already fell in love with it. Need to improve the technique, but for the first time the result is miraculous.

I perhaps don’t see myself visiting the barber shop in a foreseeable future anymore. Very nicely done, Remington. No scalp irritations, never felt any hair pulling, etc. I am not sure how long the sharpness of the blades will last.

I won’t be using it daily or even weekly. Once a month. So even if it will last for 2-3 years, 5 out of 5 this machine it is. One of a few things things this review is not going to cover is the direct contact with water.

I never tried to rinse the blades (dry brush only) and I used it on absolutely dry hair.

A well designed hair clipper with enough comb attachments for a wide variety of hair styles. Works perfectly, even on coarse, thick and/or curly hair, no tugging or pulling. A lightweight, plastic case is included for storage between haircuts.

Bonus extras include two size cleaning brushes, standard comb, scissors and a cape. One star deducted for the scissors and cape. The scissors are worthless, they couldn’t cut air and the cape is nothing more than a dollar store trash bag, Both ended up in my garbage can.

We’ve only used it once so we are still developing our “skills” as barbers. That said, the clipper itself seems to work well — it’s quiet and has low vibration. (We’ll see just how durable it is. ) The plastic height/hair length guides help, but are not a perfect solution.

At least they prevent you from scalping the victim. The included scissors are pretty poor, they tend to pull the hair and don’t cut that well. Use some good, modern office scissors instead.

After quite a bit of research, I selected this hair clipper. My previous one was also a Wahl brand. The guards are a bit difficult to clip onto the blades. They also feel a bit cheaper compared to the guards I owned and used.

The adjustment lever on the side moves quickly and smoothly. The power button is a bit difficult to click on and off as needed. The grip texture on the side is nice; it’s aslso necessary because the clipper is heavier.

I’m not sure I would recommend this product in the end. I was a bit disappointed overall.

The clippers cut well, but the attachments were not user friendly. My old Wahl clippers died mid haircut so these were a necessary purchase. I couldn’t connect any of the attachments and was afraid they might break.

I didn’t want to force them in case I needed to make a return. The attachments from my old clippers were compatible so I used those. The clippers did a nice haircut. The plastic storage case is made of flimsy plastic and feels like it could crack easily.

I had purchased a cheaper set of Conair clippers which did more ripping hair out than they actually cutting hair. Never gain. I went with Wahl this time. I found this one in the facial hair section, instead of the hair section with the other clippers, weirdly.

I have thick hair and the clippers didn’t snag once. I cut my hair in a fraction of the time it took me to with the weak Conair and I’m very happy.

Considering the low price and lack of a brand name, I didn’t have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. It feels more solid (heavier) and sounds better than the well known brand it replaced.

Also, the attachments interchange. As a bonus, it came with scissors, comb, small cleaning brush, and an assortment trimmer attachments. I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is my 2nd purchase of this Hair Clipper Kit. Comes with everything a person could need to accomplish a “haircut” ! Great for maintaining a weekly “high & tight” style look ! The PRICE to purchase this item, is way LESS than going to the barber, for a single visit !!! Thanks HF.

I started cutting my hair 2 years ago and replacing my old clippers for the more expensive babyliss was well worth the price I paid. I’ve owned mine for 3 months and I feel confident using them. By that I mean I’m not expecting a sharp tug or a random cut when I go to use them.

Battery life is great, I’ve only had to charge it twice since January and I cut my hair almost weekly. Highly recommend this product.

First off, the build quality on this clipper is excellent. The display whilst charging is very useful to let you know when finished. It feels like a professional tool. Unfortunately, not being a professional I am not sure I would realise it’s full potential.

The prongs (teeth?) on the attachments seem overly long to me but then I am sure a professional would make proper use of them. The cutting head is excellent as you would expect. In summary, a good product.

I have had three different Wahl hair clippers over the last 15 years, but thought I would try these Babyliss hair clippers because of the ‘apparently’ excellent reviews. I don’t have particularly long or thick hair (at least not any more), but the clippers snag almost immediately regardless of the guard used.

An awful product and not fit for purpose.
