20 Best Waterproof Motorcycle Boots (2022 Updated)

I wanted to like these more, but I think I’m going to have to return them. I’m a size 9 by foot measurement, ordered size 9, and they just feel cramped and claustrophobic overall. The toe length is fine, and I don’t have a particular wide foot.

But the sides feel cramped and so does the top. Also after reading the reviews of this shoe running hot, I think it wasn’t wise in general to order a WP boot in Colorado where it gets hot in the summer with not much rain.

That was my fault. It also isn’t the most flexible shoe to walk around with (will improve with breakin). Someone else described it feeling like a work boot and I think that’s accurate. For riders who need the WP protection, and would like a shoe that works down to colder temperatures, this boot is great.

And the look and quality is fantastic (as per usual with anything Alpinestars). Just not right for me. Maybe for you. Maybe size up if you’re in-between?.

Tried in many boots throughout the years for walking/riding (street&dirtbike)/hiking/snowboarding. I’m normally a 9. 5, I ordered the 9’s and they were okay at first. Realized my pinkie toe being jammed into the next toe wasn’t very great after a couple hours of field road riding.

I also feel like the 10’s would of been to big. So I game em to a learning bike buddy of mine since they fit him and he was wearing normal converse shoes. Overall, very nice and comfortable boot though.

Just too narrow for my feet (like a narrow converse). I’ll try another boot next, not a street shoe varient.

They fit pretty nicely, I normally shift between size 12 an 13 with all my various boots an shoes; I got these in size 12 an they felt snug, a bit tight in the toes at first but after breaking them in they feel fine now.

They look great an have some pretty decent padding around the ankle an Achilles areas. They do seem decently thicker than your normal sneaker. A bit pricey for what they are, but then again I get why they cost this much.

The only odd thing I noticed was the logo on the insole came off literally the first time I wore the shoes for a couple hours; that?s not a big deal at all but I?ve had some skate shoes where the insole logos have lasted for years, just thought that was kinda funny.

Purchased in July and now wearing during cold December riding. These boots hurt my right shin the first few rides, but it was mostly due to my angled right foot position. After a few rides the boots conformed to my riding position and then became as comfortable as any other shoes or boots I own.

My previous boots were definitely not made for walking but these certainly are. The have met or exceeded my expectations in all regards, including style, total comfort and protection. I could wear these boots in a non-biking situation and no one would think I was wearing motorcycle specific boots.

Definitely a quality product worth the rather high cost.

Initial out of the box review, they are nice! Slightly different then I’m used to as I typically wear a chunkier boot but these are styled very nice and feel great on and off the bike. They are comfy once on, I purchased the eur48 and I find them slim through the ankle for me but I have very wide feet(13EEE).

That being said they broke in very quickly and released a little in and around any tight spots. They get much easier to put on after a bit of wear. They are waterproof to be sure, remains to be seen for how long(I’ve had all types of proprietary wp liners and they all go eventually) Overall I’m quite pleased with the boots and I would buy again.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a motorcycle specific boot that offers elevated protection(CE rated) and a bit more style even though style is subjective. Yes they are pricey compared to the typical flea market biker boot, but in relation to their competition, they are a great value and it’s money well spent if you appreciate such things.

If you have never ordered from Fortnine, I can assure you it doesn’t get much better than these guys for customer service and competitive pricing. In other words you can’t go wrong! Keep up the great service!!.

Great looking and comfortable boot. Material is soft but still needs to be broken in to be able to walk without looking like you are walking in ski boots. Once they break in, flexibility is much improved and you can walk around without looking like you just left the ski slopes.

Getting in and out is easy with adjustable buckles to tighten and adjust to foot and Anke size and tightness preference. Happy with the purchase. My only gripe on these boots would be that they lack really good ankle support and have limited lateral impact/twist protection for incidents that could cause twisted ankle.

However, its very challenging to find a boot out there that offers perforce support, good break and shift feel, flexibility, protection, and most importantly looks darn good. This is the closest boot out there for the price that ticks off most of the boxes for comfort, protection, and aesthetics.

Super comfy. Bought these boots for riding all year round. Not had chance to test them in the wet yet but they seem waterproof enough. Boots look really nice and fit snug. Recommend ordering a size up.

I’m a size 11 and the 12s fit me perfectly. Boots are really well designed with nice bits of fine detail on them. Armour is well placed and good quality protection. For the price they’re perfect.

About 8 years ago I low sided my Intruder 1400 wearing sneakers and broke a bone in my foot, I won’t ride without a boot since. I wore my combat boots for many years since but finally needed some new boots with my new V-Strom.

I’ve had these three months and find them very comfortable even for walking around. I wear a size 12, and the 47 fits perfectly. The shifter pad is thick and protects well. The ankle protection is minimal but feels sturdy.

The toe box is the same. Not sure how well they will protect my foot in a crash, but much more sturdy than my old combat boots. The strap Velcro fastener over the foot holds well while the upper Velcro will come loose with too much movement, but I don’t mind the boot being loose around my lower leg.

If I need it tight I just readjust and it stays fairly well (for a while. ) My yard was flooded about ankle deep so I used these to ford 100′ to my outbuilding and they didn’t leak at all, I have confidence in the waterproofing.

Summer in Texas these get hot, but no more than any other boot. Really can’t find much to gig them on. Overall I’m happy with them.

I am wearing these now on a two week trip through Colorado. Temperatures have ranged from the 90s to the 30s. During a storm while riding the million dollar highway there was rain, hail, and some snow and the temp got down to 35 degrees according to my bike display.

My feet were cold but it was tolerable since they were dry. While going through Golden it was in the 90s and the airflow really helped. These boots aren’t as cool feeling as my non-waterproof summer boots but when you consider these are waterproof it’s hard to complain.

I think these boots are the perfect compromise for rides where the temperatures can alternate from very warm to very cold due to altitude changes and thunderstorm activity. I wish the soles were a little grippier but other than that nitpick I really like these boots.

I bought this on June 19 and it showed up on my doorstep on June 27. The estimated delivery was for July 5-6 so I am very impressed. I haven’t given them a test ride yet but I wanted to post this review for the fact that the fit was absolutely perfect.

I went to a shoe store and used one of those shoe size devices to get my non brand specific size. I then referenced the supplied size chart on the fortnine website. I was size 11. 5 so I ordered a size 12 (Size 46 in euro sizes) and the fit was perfect.

I am usually hesitant when ordering size specific things online but this size chart was very helpful. I will update this review on what it is like to ride with them once I put a few clicks on while wearing them.

I was looking for some comfortable touring boots. My husband wears only Alpinestars so I decided to search the brand. Originally, I ordered the Alpinestar Kerry boots, but after trying two sizes I knew they wouldn’t work for me.

After talking to the great Revzilla rep, I decided to try the Stella. PERFECT fit! So comfortable, sizing was as described, and easy on/off. I wear a size 7 and the 38 was just right. These boots are so comfortable, I am able to walk around the events we attend with ease.

I have been looking for a new pair of riding boots for a while and I wanted to make sure to find comfortable yet safe boots for the city and outside. These are the best boots I have ever had. I spent wearing them for 12 hours straight on a sunny weather and my feet did not smell (!) They are a bit stiff at the beginning, but it took me a few rides to soften them.

Awesome boots! I wear a size 8. 5 in women’s shoes and the size 40 fit great! I do want to note that I have skinny legs/ankles and the boots barely have enough velcrow to allow me to secure them to my ankle.

I will be adding some additional velcro. These don’t flow air so great for riding during the cooler months, but I have a different pair of boots for warm weather riding.

I normally wear a size 8 1/2 shoe (US sizing) and have a slightly narrow foot. I purchased the size 40 in this boot. The length is perfect for my feet. The width at the ball of the foot is fine for me, but I’d say it’s closer to an “A” or narrow width than a “B” or medium width.

The toe box (the space for the ball, arch and toe of your foot) is also trim, so look elsewhere if you prefer a roomy toe box. There is an extra layer of leather over the ball of the foot to protect the boot from the shift lever.

I’ve had to gradually break in these boots due to the stiffness from this extra leather. Otherwise, the boot is comfortable and easy to walk in as well as ride. The sole is a polymer material that is comfortable, flexible, and quiet.

The heel fits well and doesn’t slide. The pads to protect the ankle don’t irritate or rub. I like the waterproof construction (although have yet to test that out). I also appreciate the functional, trim styling and the “not black” color — I’m not a “tough chick biker” type and I appreciate gear that doesn’t fit that style.

The materials, construction and finish are very good, and I expect the boots to last me many years. Now that my boots are mostly broken in, I’m happy with my purchase.

After reviewing many different manufactures of adventure boots and speaking with riders, reading reviews and watching videos. Initially I chose the Adventure low boots but when they arrived they were way to large.

Easy return to Revzilla and at that time they didn?t have the size I was looking for EU 46 or a US mens 12. I noticed the Tera EVO and ordered those after reading reviews. They are much stiffer and have more protection than the adventure boots.

I broke them in shoveling snow and wearing them as everyday boots for a week. The traction is excellent and the boots give me the support in the ankles that I need. What I really like with the TERA EVO is the lower toe profile that we?re the exact same height as my La Sportiva hiking boots so shifting was not a big issue.

I think I will move my shift lever up maybe 1/4? in the future. Really like the better design with the metal buckles and plastic crush protection and standing on the pegs is a whole new world now ! No more pain standing I did take out the factory boot beds and install some nice Sorbothane inserts that really bright the comfort level way up! Will do a long term review as I get out on the adventure Moto on some dirt roads and some light off road.

This is my second pair of TCX footwear, coming from the X Blend. I got these to have a lighter and more casual shoe while being slightly more affordable. But I am not satisfied with them. They are lighter but not that much more comfortable, and the styling looks way goofier in person which i didnt realise was so important coming from the classically styled x blends.

It never looks right unless wearing some fitted pants or tucking the pants in the socks. The shoe is noticably but not terribly breaking up in some areas after 6 months of daily riding which isnt bad but not good either.

Also the leather is very thin and cushy, sure its comfy but im not confident in it What i tried to replace the x blend with in both cost and practicality wasnt worth it. Although having a lighter and nimbler shoe has proved more than valuable in some situations getting the feet in the right spot.

Its getting the job done but its taught me a valuable lesson in what i want and wont want in my next shoes, and that they will be less similar to these. Also they are strangely difficult to put on.

Sizing: I wear a 10 and the sizing guide did a good job a 44 fits well. Pros: Looks great. Can wear in public without looking or walking silly. Very comfortable for motorcycle shoes, both on and off the bike.

Anti-crush soul give me confidence if I drop my bike on my foot. Band on the laces to tuck them in and keep them safe away from the bike. Cons: I can not find or feel the D30 puck in the ankle for the life of me, wouldn’t trust it if I drop my bike on my ankle.

No reinforced toe which isn’t that big of a deal for me, but I wish they had it. Overall: You’re buying these shoes for style/comfort and better protection than normal shoes or boots, but don’t kid yourself, you won’t get as much protection as a proper riding boot.

I’ve been looking for a pair of short, casual(ish) style boots for some time, to pair with riding jeans. \n\nAs a vegan who’s in it for the animals, I try my best these days to avoid animal products (leather) in motorcycle clothing.

But when it comes to short style boots for some reason this becomes quite difficult!\nThere are plenty of options when it comes to race boots, most these days are PU, but this isn’t the case with shorter styles.

\n\nThe districts were the closest I could find to a casual style, that were also leather free. Although I’d of loved some redwing style boots. \n\nThese are waterproof, fit great and don’t look out of place on my street triple when paired with jeans and jacket.

\n\nIt would be great to see more non-leather options from Urban Rider, especially with boots. But I can’t fault the District boots as a product! \n\nIf you’re looking for something safe, practical, waterproof and casual(ish), then look no further.

These boots are amazing. While they may take a week or so to break in and at the beginning they might feel stiff and heavy, then they become incredibly comfortable while walking and riding, and most important keep your feet warm and dry even when it pours.

Top quality product. They have laces only, no zippers like others, but I honestly don’t mind. They look good and unless you notice the leather patch for shifter you wouldn’t know they are motorcycle boots at all.

I have worn these for about 1. 5 years now, sadly enough to go beyond the 1y warranty period advertised by Merlin. I have been quite happy so far as they are sturdy boots which kept my feet warm and dry during winter.

However I have recently discovered a huge hole in the leather cover on the left inner heel, which can only be due to the rubbing against the gear shift lever. I would have thought this damage to be only possible due to a crash or a fall, not by a daily rub against the pedal during my daily commute.

Would have happily recommended these a few months ago but now I have changed my mind, I will invest in a different brand for my next set of boots which my friends never had issues with and proved as protective and sturdy as this pair.

Fantastic so far in during winter (only gets down to 10C/50F in winter here). Is plenty warm. I got these because my “4-season” goretex TCX boots were too cold in winter, and too hot in summer. These are great for winter atleast, but will definitely be too warm for summer.

As far as protective motorcycle boots go, this is pretty comfortable. I can happily walk around in these all day, but are a little sweaty on warmer days. I found with standard insole, there is too much space inside the boot between top of my foot and top of boot.

This makes shifting feel a bit awkward. I replaced the insole with a thicker one, and all is fine now. Laces are really long. Be prepared to cut and melt the ends. I find I can comfortably tuck the laces in to the front outer side of the boot, so I dont have to worry about getting laces caught on anything.

Pour un prix vraiment raisonnable, cette marque offre confort (il m’est arrivé d’oublier les chaussures et de porter ces bottes toute la journée sans problème), souplesse une fois les bottes portées 2-3 fois et étanchéité.

La semelle est très résistante, il m’arrive souvent de “tester” l’asphalte avec la semelle pendant que je roule pour évaluer l’adhérence de la route ; au bout de 5 ans, elle n’a presque pas bougé. A savoir : il faut bien rentrer le doublure lorsque qu’on zippe la botte.

C’était déjà le cas avec l’ancien modèle mais on n’y pense plus quand on prend le pli. En bémol, je dirais peut-être la protection de la malléole mais je n’ai pas vraiment eu l’occasion de tester leur solidité dans un cas de figure défavorable aux chevilles.

Sinon pour le prix, je les recommande tout à fait.

J’apprécie le système de fermeture zip + scratch et leurs look simple et efficace. J’ai beaucoup roulé sous la pluie , elles montrent leurs limites. On a pas les pieds complètement mouillés mais on sent bien l’humidité.

Look sympa, confortable et très facile à enfiler grâce à la large ouverture sur le coter via une fermeture éclaire elle même recouverte d’un rabat avec velcro. Pour ceux qui sont entre le 43 et le 44 (selon le type de chaussures) je vous conseille le 44 car aussi non vous serez serrer sur les extérieurs des pieds.

L’idéale étant de rajouter une semelle intérieur scholl gell (bleu jaune) que l’on trouve en pharmacie et parapharmacie) vous aurez ainsi un confort optimale. Ses bottine sont souple pour pouvoir marcher avec.

Je recommande.

Seul petit point négatif pour moi, c’est la partir du haut de la chaussures au dessus de la fermetures est a scratch, et pour les gens qui ont des gros mollets, cela ferme difficilement avec un pantalon et un sous pantalon.

Attention, j’ai écouté les commentaires qui disent qu’il faut prendre une pointure au dessus et ils ont raison, merci à eux. Je chausse du 43, j’ai pris du 44 et c’est parfait!!!.

These Spada boots seem to be of an excellent quality. I have big calf muscle legs which are too big for a lot of bike boots to be able to close. These boots can be width adjusted using velcro steps down either side of the boot making them an excellent fit.

I can’t comment on the waterproofing of the boots yet but I’ve got no doubt that they will be waterproof as they are lined with a waterproof membrane and the tongue of the boot is fully joined and sealed on its entire length.

Brilliant boots at a great price with fast delivery from MSG.

Bought these boots because my old ones had started to leak. The boots are well padded and warm which makes them fiddly to put on at first. The twin zips take getting used to and the velcro works very well.

Once on they are extremely comfortable. I waited to provide a review until I had tested them in wet conditions, the recent deluges have failed to penetrate the boots so it’s looking good. Mid market in terms of price but very good value for the comfort and warm and dry feet.

Needing a new pair of bike boots I chose these Spada ones as i find the brand is great value for money. Stiff to begin with like any new shoes, I’m slowly wearing them in and they feel very protective and solid while riding.

I bought these boots right before riding 3. 5k miles across the country, mostly on interstate. Initially I was really stoked – they looked great, the fit was fantastic (true to size, I?m a 9. 5 – 10 in most brands and the 10s were money), and the boot had great reviews so I figured I was set.

Unfortunately, a couple 500 mile days into the trip and I began experiencing pressure from the boot on my big toe where the motorcycle shift lever contacts the toe cap when upshifting. As the squishy toe cap continued to crush down over the next few days of riding, the upper portion of the toe box flattened above my big toe inside the boot and developed a crease that put significant pressure on my toes whenever I shifted.

As soon as I pulled them on in the morning, I could feel my big toe getting wedged between the deformed toe cap and the sole of the boot. I had no issues with the right boot. The toe cap on the left boot is not rigid enough to hold its shape during normal shifting, but it is stiff enough to permanently deform.

During my ride, I would occasionally have to take the boot off when fueling up and use my fingers to push the toe cap out to temporarily relieve the pressure, but as soon as I upshifted it would immediately squish down again.

5 stars for Revzilla customer service for making me whole and taking the boots back, makes me feel good about giving them so much of my $$$ over the years. Apparently other riders have had positive experiences with this boot, but I had such a rough go of it with them I just had to share.

In Klim Outlanders now and couldn?t be happier, I can shift aggressively and I don?t have to worry about losing circulation in my toes. Icon, if you are listening, make your toe caps out of rigid composite if you want serious riders to take you seriously, otherwise it?s just a pretty pair of shoes – not a riding boot.

When I started my search for new boots I checked out a lot of options and I kept coming back to these. I really like the “not quite ready for the cruiser life, but also not an ADV dad or track star” vibe.

I LOVE the BOA lacing. One of my requirements in my search was no laces dangling that I have to stuff into the boot. These are dead simple, and secure, no second guessing. Feel a little lose? Just wiggle your foot a bit and give it a twist! I’m also a big fan of D3O and knowing that there’s a bit there giving added protection to my ankles is reassuring.

Hopefully I never have to report on it’s effectiveness! The insoles are probably the closest thing to a weak point that I’ve found so far. They’re not bad by any means, but certainly nothing special, at least for me.

I plan to pick up some nice insoles for them. Comfort-wise, while I probably wouldn’t recommend using them as your normal every day footwear, I don’t see much issue with wearing them for an extended time, even off the bike walking around.

I’m looking forward to when they have fully broken in. I suspect they will only get better. Fit and finish seems excellent so far. I haven’t had them long enough, or used them enough in the time I have had them to truly know how durable they are, but initial impressions are that they are well made and should last a while.

Finally fit. I wear a 13, and these fit exactly how I expect a normal 13 to fit. I’ve got slightly wider than average feet, so these are a bit snug on the width. Nothing uncomfortable, but definitely noticeable.

I’m hopeful that as they break in this will become unnoticeable.

Solid boots for riding. They are waterproof up to a certain height and fit extremely comfortably. Having a bad back and neck, proper comfort and support in a boot is important for me and these fill that requirement easily.

Next, the dial system that you turn to tighten or pull out to loosen is fantastic. I went from a cruiser with floorboards and a belt drive to a Triumph Street Triple. My old boots got caught on the peg too many times and I decided my life was worth more than the crappy boots I had on.

These ensure a nice tight fit and no possibility for laces to get tangled in your chain or peg. The wire that is used seems to be some sort of strong steel or upper end aluminum. I haven’t noticed any wear and tear yet and that’s a great thing.

One thing that I think they could improve upon is having a back loop to put your finger through to aid in getting the boot on. The side handles it has are fine but also a bit awkward. That’s the only reason I’m taking a star away.
