20 Best Waterproof Shoe Covers (2022 Updated)

I just bought a pair of Tingley rubbers and they’re already popular on campus. A buddy and I got stuck in the dorm parking lot. We had to get out and slap on my tire chains. I had my rubbers on and he was just in sneakers.

After tromping around the deep snow and struggling to get the Jeep out of the deep drift, my feet were completely dry and his socks were soaking wet. Made a believer out of him — and he dug the retro look!.

I was very pleased with the quality of the Tingley Dress Rubber Overshoes that I recently received from Galeton. I was unable to find a quality overshoe in our local stores, and took a chance on the Tingley Overshoe.

Needless to say, I love the quality, style and proper sizing of this product. I would not hesitate buying another product from Galeton!.

I recently bought this rubber overshoe and it meets my needs. I have to cross a grassy area to get to my driveway and the sun rarely hits that area so the grass is wet most of the time. This keeps my shoes dry.

These are the only boot covers I use anymore. If they get dirty you just throw them in the washing machine and then let them air dry. They seem to last Ive been using the same three pair for the past year, I only recently decided to buy more since I left a pair at a customers house.

What I really love about these are the size. I wear a size 15 shoe and my work boots are even larger on the outside sole. This fit over my boots with no problem. I highly recommend these covers.

Only color they are available in is black. Why does everything these days have to be black? It makes them hard to find, especially in poorly lit areas. I prefer white, red, yellow, or orange. Those colors have high VISIBILITY.

I wear these in my house because I have orthotics and cannot take my shoes off inside. They work really well and are durable. One pair lasts me a week of taking them on and off several times a day. This is probably the third brand I have used and it is by far the best.

I work on a COVID floor. Protects my shoes from spillage. Adds color on my scrubs.

I use these in my home/Daycare to keep down on germs on my floor these are perfect for doing so. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Had this 1 week in Swedish autumn and so far very good. Very warm and easy to put on/off. I have an XL but a L would be better, it is not a tight fit (i am a size 43). Quality looks good, for the money it is a great product.

Je ne l’ai pas essayé par temps froid mais lors de sorties très (très) humides. Dans ce cas précis, l’étanchéité a été mise à mal au bout de 1h30 sans doute au niveau de la couture sur le dessus. A leur décharge les conditions étaient vraiment extrêmement pluvieuses et les flaques étaient nombreuses sur la route.

Hate de les tester lors de sortie par temps froid et sec pour évaluer leur performance dans ces conditions.

I bought these for a 2 week trip and used them twice. Both times my boots underneath were bone dry, so they definitely work to protect from water. I wore them with waterproof pants, and I was able to put my pants over these pretty easily.

I like that the Velcro closure extends the whole way up the back of the boot protectors. It was a bit tricky at first to do the boot protectors up though. I found I had to do the Velcro up in the centre/halfway up and then extend the Velcro’s connection up and down.

But I imagine most boot protectors are a bit awkward! The sizing is a bit strange. I have slimmer calves and low/slim boots, and the boot covers (size M) just fit around my calves. I wear size 8. 5 ladies boots.

I don’t think the larger size would have been a better fit after reading some of the other reviews. I am considering cutting the elastic at the top of the boot protectors and re-sewing it a bit looser.

I like that there is rubber underneath the toe of the shoe to keep it on your foot when using your pegs, but I did find the rubber occasionally bunched up a bit as I shifted my foot. I was able to adjust my position and fix that, not a huge bother, but something to be aware of if you have narrow feet.

I did like that the rubber had grip on the bottom, so I felt ok walking in them for a short distance, even when the road was wet. Finally, these have a very strong rubber off gas odor. It has lessened a bit after I’ve had them for a couple months.

Typical of some rain gear. They have a few quirks but for the price they were great. Cheaper ones might not protect against water as well, so I feel this is a good purchase.

Many have complained strongly about the leg gator portion being too tight. While they are very tight, guess what would happen to them if they were loose? I wear full gear and what I’d describe as solid legs, definitely not slim.

These fit over my gear (base-layer bottoms, knee-high riding socks, mid-calf riding boots, Rev’It Sand 3 pants with armour). Yes, I need to work to get the velcro attached. Have to really pull on the gator and have the velcro lined up starting at the bottom and moving up.

It takes real effort, but that means a definite tight seal and secure bottom portion. Don’t want to put a foot down on a wet slippery surface and have the bottom shift because the fit was comfortable to put on but loose.

It would be nice if there was an easier way to ensure that they were tight in all situations, but I’m not sure what that would be without leaving the possibility that I’d put them on too loose out of convenience.

I bought these a month ago to replace an older pair that was beyond repair. I had them on for 5 hours in heavy rain and no leaks. When I took them off at the end the day, one of the elastic straps that goes under the boot ripped out from the stiching and frayed.

I can only assume the machine missed sewing the strap in properly and it pulled out. Now I have to decide if it is worth shipping them to the US for warranty replacement. I would buy them again. The XL fit snuggly over my size 11.

5 riding boots. And although the velcro closure is not fun to seal on the back of your leg, it stayed sealed for 5 straight hours of riding and stopping for breakfast. I have good sized calves and I wear heavy riding jeans but no issues outside of the initial frustration of trying to reach behind my legs to seal them.

Product was answer to chronic wet feet every night at work in food area. I used this on a new pair of shoes to protect them and keep my feet dry. They are holding up very well a month later, are slip proof and chem resistant to grease, detergents and strong sanitizers we use.

I bought medium size which was very snug and suggest trying next size up. My shoe size is 9 wide sketcher. Zoro customer service women are a dream to deal with. I highly suggest you work with them and buy from ZORO.

They have great return service policies and first time time buyer offer. I am recommending to a friend and to corporate for Publix markets.

I have found them to be very tough and durable. I use them over my everyday shoes when needed to mainly keep them from getting wet while walking thru wet grass or the wet garden in the mornings and have found that they prolong the life of my shoes substantially.

A very good product at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them. The toe area is a bit more roomy and seems easier to put on, plus it should make it easier to wear with tennis shoes. I normally wear a size 10 so I purchased a size 11 and they fit perfect.

They are excellent quality and have proven to be a very nice product.

I’ve been using the same pair of Tingle Overshoes I bought from Fleet Farm for over twenty years making them a great bargain. The new pair I purchased this year is even better as Tingley made them a little wider in the toe and longer, so they fit not only my work shoes, but my boots and sneakers too! And the price is within a couple dollars of what I paid in 2002, amazing!.

I bought a size “L” they are supposed to fit a size 10-11 men’s shoe. It was so tight to get on, I thought I would never get them back off. I had another manufacturer’s pair I used for years and they fit much better.

The product itself is wonderful and very well made but the sizes are way off. If you need a size 10-11 I would suggest getting the extra large or even 2xl. I have to return these and try another pair.

These will not fit my shoes. I am wearing sneakers and the “L” is way to small for any practical use. They may fit a pair of leather dress shoes, but even then you are going to have a hard time removing them.

I have always wanted something to wrap around my sport motorcycle shoes to increase stability and height, and these overshoes are a great answer. I’ve read reviews that they come a little too small for their recommended sizes so I went with the next size range.

Can’t really blame them, for shoes’ sizes vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer. As a result, the front and the back are a bit loose, however, the width fits perfectly, which is all that matters.

Overall, I am happy with the decision. I just hope that Zoro would stock a version with bigger track bumps for moderate hiking.

Not that the item was disliked. This name brand is not sized as it should be. According to your chart a size Med. should’ve fit but it was way too small! Had to send back. The 1 good thing I can say is your refund back was very prompt.

Satisfied. I’ve ordered shoes on line from Rogan’s before and have been completely satisfied. I recently purchased a pair of Tingley Men’s 1800 Trim Rubber Overshoes on line. Before finalizing the sale and since there is no Rogan’s Outlet in my state, the online sales representative kindly went to the trouble of trying the desired overshoes on the same style of shoe I currently wear in order to see which size of overshoe would fit.

However, when I received the overshoes, they didn’t fit my shoes. I called Rogan’s and they have now ordered additional overshoe styles and sizes that they will test to find me an overshoe that fits.

This kind of wonderful customer service is characteristic of Rogan’s and there is no question in my mind that the problem will be satisfactorily resolved.

It was time to replace a very old pair of Tingley’s which I wear over my riding boots in wet, muddy weather. I purchased a different brand online and they were just an awful fit and quality: a rubber overshoe no doubt, but nothing like a Tingley! When shopping at a Dover Saddlery store, I was both surprised and happy to see a display of Tingley’s!.

Plus, I was able to fit the correct overshoe to my feet right there in the store. I am a women’s size 10 and purchased a Large size 10-11 1/2 Trim, stock #1800. The fit was great on both my shoe in the store and on my riding boot at home.

To me, there is no other stretch rubber overshoe I would rather buy.

I read the other reviews and purchased a size WAY smaller than I needed. It hadn’t been raining (meaning the barn wasn’t muddy) so I didn’t try these on until it started raining, so way after the return period (silly me).

WAY TOO SMALL!!!! I couldn’t get then onto my paddock boot heels (note that my paddock boots have taller than average heels), and during the process of trying to get them on, the back part of BOTH the overshoes ripped, and they STILL didn’t fit on my boots.

I ended up just buying muck boots instead. Easy to rip, and sizing is weird, so I would not recommend unless you tried then in the store with your boots on.

I don’t like rain boots because they make my feet sweat. I love leather boots, but they get ruined when they get wet. Waterproofing leather products only work for splashes, not very good for steady rain.

I bought some really nice rain gear, but my boots were still exposed to the rain. These Rain Covers fit well over my leather boots and when I pull the pants leg down over them, no water can get in my boots at all.

There is a fitted toe for my boot to slip into , open bottom so my high traction boot sole is still in contact with the street when I stop or walk, and a strap that fits under by boot in front of the heel to keep it in place.

There is also an elastic band in the top of the cover to snug it to your leg. There is also some reflective material on it to make it safer. I am very impressed with the product, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a permanent solution to leather boot protection.

They work and they are very durable. The price is well worth it, considering what the replacement cost of good riding boots is.

I bought these to cover my leather riding boots which did not keep my feet dry through puddles and during heavier rain. Have used these now 3 times on wet to very wet rides from the office to home and found them to keep my boots and therefore feet dry.

Slightly awkward to get on, but once you’ve done it a couple of times you figure it out. My only thought on them would be to not walk in them if possible as that will surely wear away the part that goes under your boot.

Overall would certainly recommend them to keep your boots and feet dry. Can’t comment on how they would be on 1hr plus wet rides. But for my home-office commutes they have worked well.

Their awesome rain covers to keep you dry and ride ready. Takes a few minutes to get on but good once you do. Covers everything except your sole. Allows your boot to still have lots of normal traction as most of it is uncovered on the bottom.

The toe area has about two inches the ran cover uses on the bottom to hold its self on and a strap under the middle of your boot. Aside from that the rest of your boots sole is left open and usable. So lots of normal traction but not made for walking in just riding.

Excellent product and great performance. Worth the money and happy with my purchase.

Contrary to the overshoes of yesterday, with the buckle fasteners, these are a cinch to put on and take off. They have a Velcro-type ribbed fastener running down the front, overlain by a single snap strap adjustable buckle; in the rear is the usual finger loop to enable the wearer to tug the overshoe on.

And the upright part of the overshoe itself is only rigid for about two inches above the ground level, making the sliding of the shoe-clad leg in and out of the overshoe super easy. As for traction, the main point, on ice, it just cannot be beaten!.

This is a tale of my flatlander husband. We bought a house in my hometown. It’s very hilly. Hubby considers these hills to be “mountains”. He’s constantly is outside working and kept falling down the hill/mountain.

These spiky additions to his Muck boots have kept him from falling. The End.

Great over boots. The icebreaker studs allow you to walk on ice. Much cheaper than a trip to the emergency room after a fall. I highly recommend them. However, they are not good on bare concrete

Easy to find things. Easy to navigate thru. Tingley 1000 commuter rubber overshoe. This is about my 5th pair. I live in Vt and use them primarily over running shoes. They’re easy to put on despite the large heels and hi-friction rubber soles of the running shoes.

In the winter they keep road salt and slush off the shoes, and mostly out of the house. They are low, so walking thru puddles isn’t an option. Another 1/4 to 1/2 in the uppers would be helpful. They do tend to fling a little water back when walking quickly thru wet grass, so the toes of my shoes get a little wet.

Nevertheless, I don’t like being without them, which can happen, because they’re hard to find.

Purchased to cover the Kenmoor plain toe oxford. Size L fits them well, and offers good protection and traction. Perfect for light rain or winter weather, and walking on rough city pavement.

This overshoe was a great fit for some of my shoes. It does the job of protecting the shoe very well from water. It did not fit some shoes that they were larger due to their inherent design, like wingtips.

The plastic looks somewhat thin and not quite durable, which lowered my rating to 4 stars.

My son wears med but his boots are Timberland thick so we got him ex large. But he also wears Sandles again a med. so when he uses sandles he wears mine I am a Womans large because I wear sneakers. Actually both work just fine for fitting in different ways in different types of shoes.

HINT don’t tie laces. Keep shoes in boots during winter & your ready. Less fuss looking for shoes. Slippers around house work fine! Strap across top sure a plus !!.

Fit is okay but for me, I found tennis-like shoes work the best. thicker/taller shoes (shoes with safety toes) didn’t fit, unfortunately. They were easy to put on and take off! I bought them because they said they’re slip-resistant.

Well, my feet slipped on occasion when walking on a slippery floor (just water). Overall, not happy with what I bought them for. If you’re looking for a simple shoe cover look no further. But it’s not slip-resistant.

Great product. You need to size up for the perfect fit. I originally ordered a small because that’s what the size chart read. When the cover came in, I could not get them over my boot as the were the same size.

I ended up exchanging for a medium, which fit snugly over my boots. These are great fro trekking through mud and water.

The best of their type we have come across. Great product.

I had a pair of these out on a trans-continental tour and they worked well for me in some pretty heavy rain. Then I put my kickstand down and did not notice that a loose flap of the side of the rain boot was trapped under the kickstand.

God bless duct tape. The replacement pair was worn today in about one hour of moderate rain, and my feet were comfortable and dry. These boots, like the last pair, are a little clunky during shifts and I made sure the boot was clear when parking the bike.

Did I mention that they keep my feet comfortable and dry? There is a snap down strap that comes across the top of the boot to secure loose material and one of the straps came loose while riding. I was so comfy and dry, my feet were invisible to me and I didn’t notice the strap until I took the boots off.

It remains to be seen if this is a one-off or consistent problem. The last generation of these boots had an elastic strap that worked quite well and helped for packing them away. They’re fine for walking into a store and out again.

I wear the XL size over green patch work boots with a 29. 5 cm long sole. Yes, they might be a little inelegant and yes they do keep you dry.

i purchased this product before spending a few days in Wales last week. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best and i needed to put on these over boots. They were terrible and they ripped easy. I ended up binning them somewhere in snowdonia.

The design is terrible. What could be a great product falls down due to some really bad design. The cut of the material means that there is excess material on the upper part of the oversee, meaning that without the press-studded band around the top, keeping the overshoe in place, the overshoe flops down and comes off the boot.

This would be fine, except that a press stud isn’t strong enough for how it needs to be used. It HAS to be Velcro. Every time I change gear, the elasticated press studded band pops out and the overshoe comes away, making things dangerous.

So, the overshoe needs to fit more snugly over the boot, and the band simply cannot be held in place with a press stud. There’s a reason why other overshoes use Velcro.

Overall great PI quality and solid warmth. Much better than the PI ones that are just soft shell backed fleece. I found those to be little better than just the toe covers. These, however, deliver some proper warmth that will take you down to zero and maybe more depending on sock /shoe combos.

Had good success putting them under the mec cloud bursts as well for full weather protection and holding in warmth. Mostly windproof but minimally water resistant so not for rain use. Overall solid.

These boot covers are super warm. I was unable to find insulated cycling shoes my size so these were the next best thing. I bought these for mountain biking, and my normal 510 mountain biking shoes are a bit more volume than your traditional road or XC shoe.

I would recommend getting one size larger than what the packaging suggests. I had to get an XXL to fit over my size 12 shoes and it is a very snug fit. If you are wearing road shoes, they may fit more true to size.

Either way, this product is super warm and does a great job of blocking wind and weather.

I bought the original set for husband when he started bike commuting two years ago. They didn’t fit his giro rumbles, I stole them for a ride and somehow they became a regular part of my fall, winter, spring ride kit.

Two weekends ago I shredded that pair on a gravel turned snow scoot your bike on one leg adventure. I turned around and bought another pair. One big change that I noticed was that the bottom of the bootie isn’t as grippy as the last pair, they replaced what used to be a knitted grippy bottom with a smooth cloth.

I’ve only worn them once, but the pair that I bought for myself fit even better than the ones I stole from husband so major bonus. Feet still stayed warm and dry even though we were tootling up a trail ride on a soggy PNW day!.

Just after purchase, I got a chance to use them on wet leafy soil at a job, rather than get my tennis shoes wet & dirty, not to mention soaking through into my socks, I HATE when that happens! I 1st thought the size was too tight, as it was a little difficult to slip over my tennis shoes, but once I did it a couple of times, I was aware of the force of stretching needed.

Any easier to get on may slip off, so remember that. After 32 years in the electrical trade of getting my shoes & socks dirty, muddy & wet, I should have bought these years ago.

when this pooped up as a Facebook ad, I was worried having been burnt before from other companies, but everything about this has been great. Very easy purchase, great product, much better quality than I had thought and really good communication from the company throughout.

I keep these in the car glove compartment, they take up very little room, and are there “Just in Case”. I’m genuinely surprised at how good this whole purchase experience was.

It looks exactly like the pictures. I bought the white ones and they look pretty decent, and are 100 % waterproof. You will get some water in where the leg goes into the shoe, but that only happens when it rains.

I managed to rip one of them the first day, I was probably a bit rough. I twisted the piece upwards and cut it off so it still holds well together (it was only 1 cm). So be a bit careful when putting them one.

They were a tad slippery at times but it’s silicone so still better than expected. They were also true to size. Would recommend!.

Size large is slightly too big for a size 43 Giro Terraduro MTB shoe. Does a decent job of keeping your feet warm and dry in bad conditions, but after riding for a few hours in the rain on a tour I had the zipper on one shoe cover get stuck, making the cover very difficult to get off.

Probably worth it for the sale price, but not the original list price.

Great looking overshoe which performs well on colder runs. Opted for the XL size which fit snugly around my size 10. 5 shoes. Easier to get off than put on but all helps to keep shoe looking great with no sagging.
