OK as a quick detailer, but lousy as a wax. Very little black color and washes away after a couple of rains (aka: a couple of days in central Florida!). Use Turtle Wax Color Magic black instead if you want a wax that lasts longer and hides minor scratches/swirl marks well.

This stuff is so watery that I ended up using the remainder as a waterless car wash to remove minor water spots after the first disapointing try as a polish. Be careful with the Color Magic black though, it WILL stain your hands!.

Base car was a metallic black F31, had some scratch and swirl work done by me, but I have resisted the use of ceramic. My advise is do 2 panels at a time in warm environment, and you should get an outstanding result.

Very happy with the results using nothing but elbow grease and clean microfiber cloths. Also use gloves!! The black pigment in the polish is there for the car, not your hands!! Will try again to upload image of the results.

It I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Deepens the shine, and supply’s an awesome gloss finish. Parked it next to my mates merc who’s just spent £200 on a ceramic coating and there’s wasn’t a lot between the 2 cars!! 5 stars for me!!!.

I have used polishing machine with medium-heavy cut pad to apply wax in a cloudy day. car looks like a mirror now. most swirl marks are gone, and scratches covered. will apply again in 1, 2 months time to keep the shiny look.

Amazing. Brought a showroom shine to black car and very easy to apply and polish off. Also didn’t take much. Could easily polish my Range Rover 4 times with the bottle.

The extreme poor performance of every tyre black that I have bought in the last twenty years inspired me to buy Turtle Wax Jet Black, Black Spray Detailer. Who would have thought that it was a polish for black cars only.

A lesson to be learnt, spend an extra day in Dubbo so you can read the specifications of everything you buy. Probably have to throw it out unless I can give it to the local undertaker. Worst thing, it had some tissue type paper covering the rear label and when I tried to get it off, the poor quality label came off as well.

It was not until I went on to the SuperCheap website that I could see that it was not tyre black. Anyone old enough to remember the olden days when you could buy tyre black that was black, not ugly shiny stuff that picks up dust like a magnet.

I couldn’t believe the impact Poorboys Black Hole had on my black Audi. Paintwork before wasn’t in bad nic, however had some scratches and looked a little hazy. In all honesty, some of the deeper scratches looked almost the same following application, however smaller surface scratches were filled and the depth of the black finish was greatly improved.

I must say, be prepared for a sore arm following the application of both products! Its worth it in the end.

I usually use meguiars products on my cars but I got the poorboys black hole for my black Porsche and I got the black wax paste and Im glad I did the difference is unbelievable! The car looks wet and it looks like a new car! I done it by hand and not the buffer machine and applied it in the sun, it buffs off with ease and does what it says on the tin! The arl saying you get what you pay for! Definitely worth the money.

No difference between blue black waxes from Poorboys yet the black is a lot more expensive. Used both on a dark coloured car with a black roof. No difference in performance at all, having first polished using Poorboys Black Hole ( superb ) and then waxed half and half for comparison.

Durability seems about the same also. Cannot see the justification in the difference in price.

It does what it says. I bought a more expensive product before from US and despite it should remove small scratches as well it didnt. I had previously good experience with the product from Sonax so I bought another one.

Was very effective in masking small scratches and stone chips. Polished off easily to leave a deep shine. Very satisfied with the product and would definitely buy again.

this wax was used to cover a peppering of stone chips on bonnet of a black audi,first i removed existing wax with a clay mit. applied the wax with a sponge applicator pad doing one panel at a time. i found that you had to apply a bit of pressure to the chipped area, the left a few minutes to buff off.

then i applied some g3 super gloss paste wax to lock in the sonax colour wax to stop it washing off between washes(if it does). all in all the results are fantastic even covering the swirl marks etc that lets the appearance of the car when the sun shines.

cannot rate this enough and will buy again for sure, another great german product.

Brought this for my partners hand me down fiesta mk6 the black trim was really bad so I went to town on it just to test it as my fiesta mk8 has makeup prints embedded in the plastic trim on her side -_-.

Anyway I applied a coat wiped off and then repeated. It has made a huge difference and I suggested a couple more coats to really bring it out and protect it. It went from a very dull grey white colour back to a dark grey/black no streaks or anything.

Great product for the price great for restoring an older car.

I’ve used many black trim restorers in the past to work on motorbikes, scooters and cars. Most of the time they’ve been a clear liquid which adds shine, but is very temporary. The most recent project was the front and rear diffusers on my little Abarth that had greyed and picked up some white residue that would not shift.

I tried autoglym gel which shined the black plastic, but the white showed through. I was getting close to taking a heat gun to melt the plastic back to black, but I wasn’t overly keen on causing damage to the panels.

I figured I’d give this a try as I had nothing to lose. Firstly, and probably a good indicator of the products effectiveness, this product will stain anything black. Be careful around textile and skin.

Its an inky black liquid with the consistency of thin yoghurt. Placed onto a rag and spread liberally over the trim, it turned black immediately. Allowed to dry and then buffed, the plastics look brand new with no hint of the white residue.

A wax of the paint and deep clean of the wheels and the car looks brand new. I’m confident this product will last longer than the clear sprays and gels as this product contains black pigment. The bottle will easily last many years, so it’s a great value.

The horrible state of my Mini’s wheel arch surrounds completely spoils its appearance. I have tried any number of plastics restorers, most of which were totally useless. Then, Car Plan Black Trim Wax recommended bu a fellow Mini driver.

It’s the only one which does what it claims! At first use it needs a second coat but my bits are really black now – what more could a chap ask?.

We liked how it covers and fills in scratchs and swirls on our black car and leaves it shiny like glass. It’s multi level Jet Black system is for black cars only. The cleaner wax removes impurities in the paint surface itself.

The polish is actually black so it gets in the scratches to fill them and make them virtually disappear. The detail spray leaves the paint with a mirror finish. Highly recommend trying it but you may have to hurry seems it’s being discontinued already.

I’m dumbfounded by anyone who is giving this product a low rating. I’ve used this kit twice a year for at least 10 years on a 2009 V6 Honda Accord and the finish and depth of black is still outstanding! I always get compliments on how great my black car looks for its age, and I agree.

I attribute the longevity of the stellar deep black look to using this wax once in the spring and once in the fall every year. Water just beads right off for months. All the Turtle Wax “Jet Black” products kick a**.

Zero complaints. I’m happy Turtle Wax made a specialty product like this for us black vehicle owners. I wouldn’t use anything else and it’s proven it’s worth for a decade.

I started using this kit in 2015 and it’s the only wax I use now on my second car. It takes some work but this kit along with their black polish leaves your car looking better than new. I use Maguires for everything else.

But this is formulated for black cars. Be warned though. wear latex gloves it will turn your hands and towel black.

My vehicle received quite severe micro scratches in an auto brush car wash in North Hobart. The insurance company for the franchisee refused to accept any liability. After professional detailing at my expense some deeper scratches were still obvious.

This product was a Godsend and covered the remaining damage even in the most critical light. I am astounded about its ability to mask quite severe paintwork blemishes. Highly recommended for black or graphite vehicles.

I guess that the moral to the story is do not use oil company franchised auto car washes using contact brushes.

I have always used Turtle Wax Hard Shell polish. Tried different brands, but not to my expectation. A renowned auto paint guy told me there was no other brands better than Turtle Wax. I agree. It was sad to see the Hard Shell being discontinued.

Have tried the Black Magic. Still need to wait to see how long the effects will last.

Used it on a neglected 12 year old car. The shine came up nicely and the paint feels nice and smooth instead of slightly rough. It was a little harder to buff out compared to other waxes but worth the effort.

Will need to wait and see how long it lasts. Having used Turtle Wax products in the past it should be Ok.

I first used the Cleaner and Conditioner and was very impressed with those results alone! The next step was to apply some Water Resistant Cream and was again very impressed with the results! Step 3 was to apply two thin coats of the Paste Wax Polish on the toes and heels which leveled up the shine once more! Step 4 will be be a dry application of the High Shine Wax on the toes and heels.

I do believe that I have become a convert to the Pure Polish line of products. We’ll done!.

I bought two wax polishes. I love their performance. Polish to a good shine, love they are natural ingredients, and the orange smell is awesome. More importantly the color match is solid.

This product exceeded my expectations. Smell is great and it just works smooth to apply with great shine on calfskin.

I normally use Chestnut Wax or Axminster’s own brand. I’ve been happy with both. Probably to relieve the boredom of lockdown I decided to give Black Bison (where does the name come from !!) a try. It does an ok job.

But be prepared for a very different smell! This wax smells as though it belongs on the Cosmetics Counter of Harvey Nichols rather than in a woodworkers workshop!! It has a very noticeable “scent” which I didn’t like at all.

Back to Chestnut and Axminster waxes for me.

Was prepared to pay around £50 for my next wax but was advised that this would do what I wanted, it went on really easily, was a little hard work to buff off but results were worth it, great beading.

At first I really only bought this product when doing protective styling and it worked great! However, when I was running low on gel, combining a little water onto my hair with the beeswax created and smooth slick back style that didn’t feel as stiff as gel.

The smell is great and the use for the wax is beyond protective styling but also as an everyday gel that works great for my hair.

Smell is not very wonderful and holds ok. The value was really good so I thought I would give it a try. The description said something about being good for a “50s look”, but not so much. Does not give that “wet look” at all or hold hair well enough.

For the price though it is ok.

Dax black wax hold the swists coils better than dearer product’s l’ve tried, would buy again.

Greatly improved exterior trim with little effort. Helped improved the appearance of the tyres, could have been better and blacker, but adequate considering that little effort was required. Again, one aerosol managed to treat the car once only (all be it a large SUV).

Good trim wax and works well on tyres although you may wish to try the Turtle wax wet n black on your tyres if you like a high sheen. As always Turtle wax offers great value products.

I have 2014 Cadillac Escalade Black. After applying the wax it looks signing and last longer. I am happy. I will buy again and I will try their different products as well.

When I saw this I immediately thought of the old “colour magic” polish you got years ago. Similar idea but this is a lot easier to go on and definitely a lot easier to buff off. Leaves a nice sharp glossy shine to your paintwork, have to wait and see how long it lasts for between applications but so far we’ll impressed.

I own a dark blue GRP boat and these darker hulls do bloom over the summer seasons due to UV and salt water splashes. Everything purchased for boats is expensive so I tried this car polish – Brilliant.

What I started with was a very dull hull but having put on two coats, the deep shine had returned.

I’ve tried SO many waxes. Different temps, all temps. Nothing beats this especially in the cold. I’m in minus degree mountains often and this is the only wax that doesn’t make my board stick. Been using it in spring conditions too.

I fly by everyone on the cat walk, down groomers, in trees and powder. So happy with it.

Been using this for years and always glide further than everyone else on the flat. Great all round wax that lasts. Goes on and scrapes off easily. Have tried others but this is the best all in one Ive used.

I’ve been using this for years. Unless you are a highly competitive racer and need to shave fractions of a second off your time at various snow temperatures, this is a simple “one wax” for all occasions.
