20 Best Wax For Fiberglass (2022 Updated)

I have used this wax religiously for years on my 2005 boat. The boat looks like it was just taken off the show room floor yesterday. The gelcoat is still bright and shiny. I get comments quite often about how good it looks.

This was does a great job. And it is very easy to put on and take off. I have done it by hand and I have used an orbital buffer (highly recommended). Both work great and give excellent results, though the orbital buffer is way easier on your arms.

Bottom line, great wax for your boat and you will not be disappointed.

We are in a covered slip, the spiders hanging on the ceiling have jet black poo which is difficult to get off. I spray 3M on the boat and the poo wipes away easily. Will definitely buy this forever and I recommend it to all my boating friends.

Just bought this product today and used it on the helm station and cockpit of my 25′ SeaFox w/a. Looks amazing! Easy on and easy off. Can’t wait to use this on the hull after I compound, polish and wax it!.

3M makes great marine products. Spray on a clean gelcoat surface and wipe off, it’s that easy and leaves behind a beautiful shine. Surface does not have to be completely dry either. Protection lasts a while too!.

Currently used on my vintage glass “classic”. Put on a clean defect free surface 5/12. Scum and stain washed off by hand 11/12. Prep the vessel before putting this on. It’s awesome .And lasts!

Excellent boat wax. We’ve used it for years and it keeps our boat looking good all season. Walmart’s option to order it online and pick it up in the store worked great.

This wax is for gelcoat. It works much better than car wax. I put this wax on a 25 year old bass boat that had lost most to the gloss on the upper side. The boat came out great. Its not like a new boat but what a difference it made.

This is the first coat. I did wax the boat and buffed the wax off but I had tried this many time with normal car wax. It just wouldnt stay shiny very long. This Seans to be lasting longer. I bought this bottle that is 32oz compared to other boat waxs that where only 16oz for the same price.

Own a 2020 Forrest River TT dealer recommended waxing twice a year to keep paint looking like new. The reviews on this product did not disappoint. Easy to apply and wipe off. I waxed my entire 31’ trailer in about 6 hours.

Looks better then the day I bought it. We’ll see how it holds up 6 months from now. BTW my trailer has aluminum siding and doors are fiberglass so it’s safe When the sun hits it I can’t even look at it because it’s like looking at a mirror.

Being using this product for many years now, to clean and wax my boat for the coming season. It usually only takes one application, and it protects and shines by boat for the entire year. I find this product performs much better than some other products I have used in the past.

This polish brought out the luster of the rV gel coat, which is 16 years old. It also left the finish feeling smooth. Other polishes that I used did not leave the finish in this smooth condition. This is a great polish for any gel coated RV.

Also very easily applied – No need to wait for it to haze over. Excellent product!!!.

This is a superior product for fiberglass and gelcoat boat use. It really is obvious how well it works by seeing the before and after look and feel of the surface. I did a medium effort with the 3M marine rubbing compound first.

I have rubbed out and waxed cars for years and this combination works the best I have seen for its intended application period.

It’s a bit pricey, but wow! is it worth it. I used it on the fiberglass on a Boston Whaler that I’m restoring. After cleaning with acetone and wet sanding with 1500 grit I then applied two coats of Scotchgard Marine.

It goes on really smooth, dries in about ten minutes, and comes off with a micro fiber cloth with no effort at all. Unlike any other wax I have ever used. That’s all I have to say.

I use this on my boat for the first time this weekend. I lightly sprayed the hull be I put the boat in the water. I noticed that it helped remove some water that were already on the hull but what was more impressive was when I took the boat out of the water.

The water beaded off the hull so I had very minimal wiping to do and there were no visible water spots left behind. I had also previously wiped down the wake board tower before I put it in storage. There is usually a lot of dust on the tower but not this time.

I can only surmise that the dust didn’t stick to the tower this time because I had wiped it down with the Quick Wax. Great, easy and fast way to protect your boat and equipment.

Applying this wax couldn’t be any easier. I chose this wax to use on my sailboat earlier this month. As I mentioned, applying the wax couldn’t be easier – just spray then buff to a nice glossy finish.

It even removed light oxidation on the boat’s non-skid deck. After application, water just rolls right off all the waxed surfaces. I even used a hose to spray the boat with water to find the spots that I had missed.

It’s been about two weeks since applying the wax and water still beads on the fiberglass. Hopefully, it will continue to perform and protect as it’s done so far!.

I have a flats boat in Florida and the sun and high air temperatures can be brutal on the boat’s hull. I received the 303 Quick Wax and applied it according to the directions given and was surprised to see that the wax removed minor “grunge” stains and after hand buffing left a film that beaded water.

I also appreciated the generous amount of 303 provided in the spray bottle. There’s enough here for several applications over the summer months. It’s too soon to determine how long the wax stays on the hull, but first impressions are good!.

The product is just a bit tougher to put on then the can tells you. Once you rub it on the surface, you need to wait until the wax dries a bit and looks like a film. Once the dull film appears start rubbing it off the surface.

If it dries to much you will need a lot of elbow grease. The product is temperature sensitive. Read the instructions and adhere to the temps. To cool and it won’t dry to the film and to hot it dries suddenly and is tough to rub off and develop and nice shine.

All in all good product.

I bought this and the 3M equivalent at the same time figuring I’d compare them. I started with this Meguires product and it went on super easily and made a great shine! I used this on my Travel Trailer (fiberglass sides) but haven’t tried it on my boat yet.

It brought a nice shine to my 5 year old trailer! I returned the 3M product because that required a polisher or a drill with a 3M polishing disk, which cost even more money. I am COMPLETLY happy with my results using this product! I found it easier to use when it was warmed in the sun.

It’s a bit thick and hard to squeeze out of the bottle if it’s cool.

I used this on my Hallmark Low Hauler black finish enclosed cycle trailer. This product worked great with my PC7424xp buffer and was easy to remove the left over residue. Followed with 2 coats of Meguiar’s Ultimate wax and the results were excellent for a 10 year old trailer.

Excellent shine and depth of color and it removed the minor scratched and swirls. Mirror finish in no time!.

Seems to be a good wax but I never expected it to be a semi paste. It doesn’t apply with my orbital buffer as well as the normal flagship wax does that doesn’t have the cleaner in it. We will see how it lasts.

When I bought the boat, there was a large decal on the gelcoat. After removing the decal, I noticed how shiny the gelcoat was under it. I used the oxidation remover on the areas next to the clean area.

It made the gelcoat look better. I applied the High Gloss polish next and it got a good shine to it. Then I applied the Pure Wax. What a difference. I looks better than the area under the decal. Can’t wait to finish the rest of the boat.

This is an excellent product. I purchased a used 2009 Attitude 33 ft Toy Hauler trailer in Feb. 2015. The previous owner washed and waxed it a few times a year so the fiberglass was in good condition.

I used a RV wax I purchased at Camping World and waxed the trailer last month. It didn’t clean or polish well. I read the reviews on home essentials direct that were posted for the 3 step process: Meguiar’s M4965 Marine/RV Fiberglass Restoration System.

I was very happy with the results. The first step removed the small amount of oxidation and the previous wax that was present. As described in the reviews, step 2 (polish) and step 3 (wax) brought back the bright white shiny look.

I purchased the “Meguiar’s MT300 Pro Power DA Polisher” from home essentials direct, which makes the job go faster and provides the best results. You will still need to do some small hand waxing around the edges.

I also used the wax (step 3) on all my decals/stickers on the trailer, which will protect them from fading. Apply it by using Meguiar’s W0004 Foam Applicator Pad 4-1/2″. I have included a picture. The cloudy day doesn’t represent the best results.

My five year old 5th wheel is exposed to the sun on its southern side, all year long. The fiber glass skin was showing signs of oxidation and fading. I tried using some RV wax and a power buffer. I spent hours trying to get the original shine back.

But, wax just doesn’t cut through oxidation. I searched the internet for a good product and purchased Meguiar’s M4965 Marine/RV Fiberglass Restoration System, Kit. The 3 step process is working for me.

It does take time to polish a 35 foot trailer. But, the oxidation remover definitely works. You might have to apply it several times, depending on the oxidation level. The polish and wax seem to be high quality too.

Its best to avoid direct sunlight on the surface, when using this product. So, I’m hoping for a few cooler days to finish up this polishing project 🙂 I would purchase Meguiar’s M4965 kit again, as needed.

This is a great product. It cost a little more but it is worth it. Best wax I have ever used. I use it on my rv and boat. Have been using it for the past five years.

Great marine wax. Goes on easily. Well suited for gelcoat.
