20 Best Wax For Floors (2022 Updated)

I have old floors in an old farm house. Traffic all the time. The stuff at the store doesn’t cut it. Shines gone in a half day. This lasts almost a week even though I have to sweep daily and usually damp mop a couple times a day.

Glad I got it.

It is not a wax as indicated by the name. It is a polish similar to a product by Bona. I wanted a wax to use with a floor polisher and this is not it.

My kitchen has hardwood floors and they have never looked better and I think this will last a long time!! Dries nice easy to apply.

Very High Gloss and Very Durable. I also make my own soft plastic fishing lures and this works fantastic as a sealer and protectan for my Plaster of Paris Worm Molds. 2 or 3 light coats into each worm cavity and they just slide out of the Molds with no sticking or tearing of the soft plastisol.

The plastic worms also come out very smooth and shiny ! Great on floors. However, if you make your own Plaster of Paris Worm Molds, then this is the stuff to seal your molds with ! Don’t waste your money on the cheap stuff.

If you want your worms to peel out of your molds and are super shiny then you need the; Lalundmark Super Gloss Premium Acrylic Floor Wax !.

I tried it on a linoleum that had been painted. It gave it a little bit of a sheen but not quite what I expected. Might try one more coat on floor.

This product really works for my slippery floor.

We installed Bella Cera Ruscello GuardaValla engineered hardwood flooring throughout our home several years ago. It comes with a 50 year warranty on the Satin finish. A couple of years ago my wife started applying Bona High-Gloss Polish every few months.

It looks great at first, then over time we started seeing cloudiness and marks. We tried simple ways to clean it, but even the Bona Floor Cleaner wouldn’t clean the cloudiness and marks Their customer support even suggested buying the Bona Polish Remover, but we were at the point if never applying any Bona product again.

We finally called in a professional floor cleaning company who stripped off all the polish and buffed the original flooring, leaving us our original beautiful Satin flooring. It took them 3 1/2 hours and cost us $750 to restore the flooring to it’s original luster.

We will never use any Bona product on our floor again. Just a damp micro fiber pad. We finally called in a 5-star professional floor cleaning company.

I recently bought Bona wood cleaner and I bought a bottle of polish as well after reading the back of the polish and seeing no warnings about using it on pre-treated flooring. I loved the cleaner. I tried the polish on half of my floor because I thought it would enhance the already subtle shine that my pre-treated wood floor has.

WRONG MOVE! Do NOT put this polish on a pre-treated floor or any floor that is already shiny. It created a thin film of gray haze. It was so noticeable next to the half of the floor that I had not used it on.

After trying to order the polish remover online, I found that it was not available at Amazon, Lowe’s, Home Depo, Walmart, nowhere! I called Bona and told them my story. At first they wanted to tell me to put more polish on and that I hadn’t put enough on.

I would not listen to that. Then they sent me a free bottle of polish remover which I was pleased about. My husband and I had to get down on our hands and knees doing small sections at a time, lots of work, arm pain, back issues, to get that polish off our floor.

It took about 10 hours and ibuprofen. Be very very cautious of the polish. It SHOULD be clearly marked on the back “DO NOT USE ON PRE-TREATED WOOD FLOORS”. It is not marked. Further, when I went online I found many other horror stories from people.

I will buy their cleaner again! I loved it! I will never buy their polish again and I warn all of you to be very very careful. They say to use on a small area first, but they do not give enough warning to use it on a very small area, let it completely dry, and then compare it to the before.

These changes need to be made within corporate Bona.

I bought this product and applied according to directions. Any drop of water left a ring where the wax looks like it has disintegrated. Called Bona about problem and said I wanted to take off the wax because it looked so bad.

Bought Bona product to remove and it only partially takes it off so now I have an entire kitchen, dining room and hallway with areas of wax on and areas with wax off. It has totally ruined my very expensive hardwood floors.

Please do yourself a favor and don’t even apply in the first place. You will regret it and spend a lot of money applying and then partially removing the wax.

I have used other finishes in the past and try many, many brands before. I have finally found a finish and sealer for that matter that shortens my time to finish a floor in half at least, I dries really fast I believe that because of the high solids; of course you have to put on thin layers.

My experience has been that the thinner the better. Like I said, it dries faster therefore, you can put on more coats to bring a wet shine look. Amazing. You probably can buy other finishes for half that price but in the end it will cost you more.

I will try their stripper for my next job. I cannot say anything about lasting shine or wear off but for the feel and looks of it I think it’s going to be fine. I’ll try to remember to post about this last issue in a few months.

I read many reviews on this product mostly good but some were bad. My experience was very good. I used it on a newly sealed decorative concrete stain job I did, I mopped on 3 coats waiting 45-60 minutes between coats which is equivalent to 6 coats of regular wax.

This product is 33% solids which is thicker than most other brands I mopped it on sealed concrete and a little goes a long way, I applied product uniformly but as thin as possible. I let it dry for 84 hours went back to job and burnished it to a beautiful high gloss.

I love this product. I have been using it for awhile on my floors to maintain the shine. I highly recommend it.

I used this product on my Armstrong Linoleum kitchen floor. Over the years it had lost its glossy shine. The kitchen table area was an especially bad spot, my chairs put extra wear and tear on the surface of the linoleum.

The floor dressing was easy to apply and dried fairly quickly. I used approx. 3 coats to bring back the luster to the floor. The product has held up to water and over 6 months of wear and tear. The floor still looks good.

It is important to clean the floor well before applying the floor dressing. I am very pleased with the product and will buy it again when I need more from The Floor Guy!.

I use Armstrong Shine-keeper after cleaning the floor with Armstrong Once-N-Done. Shine-keeper produces a durable and long lasting shine, especially over our older worn vinyl kitchen floor.

Laminate floors had been neglected for quite some time so I decided to revive them. I found the Rejuvenate products at Home Depot and figured I would give them a try as the specified they worked on laminates.

WOW! I am impressed. The cleaner worked well enough on its own but once application of the Restorer made the floors look amazing. I will be using this for the future and looking for other Rejuvenate products! Thanks Rejuvenate!.

I have used rejuvenate before and always had excellent results. The polish and cleaning products are specifically designed and sold for different applications: all types of floor cleaner, wood floor cleaner and polish.

Each design is well matched for the type of surface you are working with. It seems much more concentrated than general products that I have used. It smells good and dries rapidly which is very helpful for large surfaces.

The office vinyl flooring was damaged with lots of white stains. As people walked around on it, salted snow from the shoes made white stains everywhere over the floor. I tried to clean up using many different kinds of cleaner including hot water and vinegar but it remained on the floor.

Finally, I used this product and amazingly the floor has been restored like new.

This wax goes on easily. When buffed it has a nice shine. It does smell strongly for a while though. It does not take very long to dry before you can buff it. Overall a great product. The packaging -a can -is nice and sturdy and seals well too !.

What a beautiful finish with very little effort. This week I set out to hand scrub and “wax” my first floor hardwoods that looked dull and dirty. Washed and wiped the floor and reached in the cabinent and found Quick Shine for high traffic hardwoods…I usually use Bruce, but thought I’ll use this up first.

Well I did a substantial portion of the floor before I ran out. So I used the Bruce next…side by side there’s no contest. Bruce made my prepped floor look dull and old next to Quick Shine with its beautiful gloss and like new floor finish.

Soooo after several choice words, I threw the other one in the trash and ordered a large container of Quick Shine. Do yourself a favor. Your hard work should produce beautiful results. In my floor photo the left and upper part of the photo shows a dull worn out look, and the Quick Shine area is on the right and looks like a new floor.

After my husband passed away I moved into an older house with original but very sticky waffle covered hardwood floors. I did my research and after trying many products, none worked for removing the sticky waffle residue.

To make it short, Goo B Gone, Lysol Scrubber sponges, rags, and Quick Shine, made these old wood floors, look remarkably beautiful. So if you have this issue, you will need to get on your hands and knees, and remove the sticky residue with goobgone and with gentle lysol sponges.

You don’t need to pay for expensive floor cleaners. You will need to get down on your floor and do scrubbing and rinsing by hand. After all the sticky is gone, use this QuickShine. It’s been over two years since I did and these old hardwood floors are beautiful and shiny.

Been doing floors for 25 years. I have been using Zeps high traffic for the last 5 and really like it. The price on this is a bit high but i thought I’d try it, if it shined better with fewer coats would offset the cost especially in labor and time.

UNFORTUNATELY it does not shine better with fewer coats in fact it didn’t shine as well as the zep high traffic with the same number of coats. The wet look also drags quite a bit while applying, especially on the first coat.

Can’t say about how it will hold up yet but if your wanting a cheaper floor finish that does shine really nice go with Zeps high traffic for finish. Also any floor finish you buy needs 3-5 coats to give a really good shine.

I see so many reviews complaining that they had to use 2 or more coats. That’s every floor finish out there that’s just how it is so whatever you buy give it a real test and use the recommended 3-5.

While this product may NOT be recommended for laminate flooring, we have used this product several times over the course of years. We apply this OVER the Zep Stain Resistant Floor Sealer (applied as per instructions on jug).

The floor sealer alone gives a quite nice finish to the floor and with the Wet-Look Floor Finish it is, in my humble opinion, OUTSTANDING. We own a couple of rental properties and anyone who is in the same situation is familiar I am sure with how they get treated.

25 year laminate is lucky if it lasts 5 years and these products have extended that life considerably. I apply the sealer and finish immediately after installation of a new floor and there has been no issue.

Obviously you would not soak the floor in either, but a good, wet application does the trick. The product dries quickly and does not appear to have adverse effects on the laminate, quite the opposite.

I HIGHLY recommend these products.

This purchase was a little unorthodox, but it worked like a charm. I am definitely a do it yourself kinda guy and saw this used on a you tube video. It worked for the purposes intended. I have an older RV and the clear coat is mostly gone.

There was no shine at all. I washed it and gave it a good 5 coats of this floor polish and it looks great. Would recommend to anyone to use for the same purpose.

Well worth the money and the time to do floors. I will forever be a fan of the product. Makes floors so clean and shiny, but does not make them slippery..wow, I love it!!

Great for hardwood, but utter CRAP for tile. Followed directions, polish clumped on tile causing 3D parts of floor. Used tile disposable cleaning pads “streak-free formula” also crap. Leaves hazy streaks.

Total waste of time and money. Currently trying to remove this devil polish off my tile.

We have bought an older farm that we have restored the home several years ago. We put porcelain Tile throughout 90% of upstairs and 100% downstairs. The upstairs is about 1000 square foot of tile. After several years of using the bona cleaning products we saw the polishing product and we we thought the floors would look better with a little more Shine so we tried this product.

It looked great for a while and then after several applications just looked blotchy and dull. We then proceeded to search internet on how to remove. Now we have floors that look terrible , horrible haze and dullness in every crevice ! We have tried scrubbing and every trick on the internet we could find,; ex vinegar, ammonia and nothing works! The more we try the worse it looks!.

I was a fan of Bona cleaners and decided to give the low gloss polish a try. Big mistake! We now have a haze all over our year-old wood floors that we have to figure out how to remove. Wish I would have read more reviews before buying.

Many others have highlighted the same issue.

The floors are vinyl. Yes, a High gloss but needs buffing after cleaning I have a small area so I used socks on my feet to buff LOL Authored Statements: ysureican Fogarty.

You sent me the wrong bottle I never used as of yet I received another Zep high gloss yellow bottle, I’m Still in Zep Stripping phase, I’m sure it’ll work great.

The one that was donated to our church bought at Lowe’s must have been old or something. Because we redone the church floor and stained it & we wanted a floor shine. So we used the zep high traffic polish.

So we put on floor 30mins later it had turn to white and if you take ur hand and rub over it, it was some type of white powder messed the floor up now it’s going cost thousands of dollars to strip it sand it stain it then reshine it.

But not using this again.

Works as advertized, and cost was lowest compared to other sources for the same product. You need a quality applicator for best results. A mop type with a removable cloth head ( so you can rinse it ) I also bought the ZEP stripper that works fine.

I used the stripper in small amounts to clean the applicator mop when done. I put on 4-5 coats to get a good shine , but did not have access to a buffer. Great results nonetheless. Amazed by the very reasonable shipping charge and 3 day delivery.

Used on a beaten/polished concrete floor, which had been made pretty well but had some surface variations. Preceded the wax with thorough washing and cleaning. Then applied Liberon Stone Floor Sealer as a precaution – this was probably unnecessary as the floor was already pretty watertight from the concrete polishing.

Then spread the wax polish with a brush, thoroughly but thinly, with a view to doing further coats in the future. The coverage achieved was much higher than quoted on the specs – perhaps 50 sq metres per litre.

It’s then easy to buff up when dry – we just used a cloth, but no doubt an electric polisher would give a better result. Wax sets very hard. Only downside: the floor is much more slippy than before. Both tins bought were badly dented but not perforated.

Used on very old and neglected flagstone floors that had not been properly cleaned for years. After lots of scrubbing and cleaning I applied a couple of costs of the Liberon Colour Enhancing Stone Floor Sealer followed by the Liberon Sone Floor Wax.

The result was spectacular and I had no idea that the floor could look so good. One tip, after allowing the wax to dry as recommended. I used a shoe brush to bring out the shine.

Good product, used for slate tiles in this instance. Application is easy although buffing up for a sheen gives you a good workout if like me you don’t have a buffing machine. The only downside is that 1 coat is probably not enough for a very uniform coating.

I’d reccomend at least 2 to improve the finish. Overall though am very happy with the result.

This is the best wax floor polish that I have ever used on real wood floor. My floor was faded patchey and very dry and unloved. One coat of this stuff using a swiffer mop has brought the floor back to life.

With the heating on dried in less than an hour. Also long lasting protection. Should be done yearly I would suggest.

For the price this is very good value. It lacks a little in power but still adequate. The gauge is very small so use a dedicated pressure gauge for accurately adjusting pressures. This does not fit Jaguar R Sport valves (BBS RS2 wheels).

I easily made an adaptor but bear this in mind if your Jaguar has these wheels with a detachable valve. However most Jaguars will have standard permanently mounted valves, so just check first.

Perfect little compressor for my bikes, car and air beds. Small enough to store in the boot of my car, strong enough to inflate the tyres and more on one charge. When I go camping, it’s ideal for the air beds too.
