20 Best Wax For Motorcycle (2022 Updated)

Bought for face shields and quick touch ups on the bike. Not a great cleaner, nor does it work well on bug splatter. Just seems to help remove dust, which then lets exposes the original shine from a real wax job show, as this does not look to add a protective layer.

So if you want something thin and wipes off easy, then this might be for you. On the plus side(maybe?) is that it dries fast. I wish you better luck with it. Thank you for reading and hope this helps.

I have been using this stuff for over 20 years and all of my bikes look new. No water needed for light dust and dirt. Spray on and clean / haze up with a cotton cloth and then use a soft cloth to buff.

You can use it on everything but hot metal. Great for carbon fiber mufflers. Easy to use.

I bought a can today at my local Harley shop. I used it on my tank and it removed all the water spots and streaks. I also used it on one of my guitars.Great stuff !

Three weeks prior to a trip to coastal Carolina, I applied a coat of Poly Wax and topped it with Best of Show wax. The morning after my arrival, I had condensation and salt on my car. Thought nothing of it until I returned home a week later and the spots would not wash off.

I literally had to buff them off with polishing compound and an orbital. The Best in Show wax offered no protection.

I am a returning customer for Griot’s BIS Wax. Three years ago I bought a new car and elected to have it ceramic coated at a cost of $1200 and a rental car for a day while the treatment “cured”. While the ceramic coating worked well and lasted, I didn’t want to go through the car rental and cost so I came back to Griot’s BIS Wax.

So far I am pleased with the shine, protection against elements, and my ability to “control” the process.

I used this product after using a strip wax car shampoo and clay bar. The product was easily applied with a foam applicator. A little bit of product goes a long way; you want a thin layer. As per the instructions, I allowed 30 minutes of cure time before wiping off and buffing with microfiber towels.

My car looks brand new and it’s actually 5 years old. The shine & depth of color is really good! For the price, this is an exceptional product.

I’ve used this in the past with good results. I stopped using it because I had tons of extra differential oil in the garage. I used that for awhile after watching FortNine’s positive review of the stuff.

It works fine, but it has far too much fling. It gets everywhere and is a pain to constantly clean. After I decided to stop using diff oil, I was determined to find the best chain lube on the market.

After seeing this product do so well I decided to return to it for off road riding.

Since 2010 I have been using this chain lube, first on my new chain which is still installed after 51k kms. I spray my chain approx every 500 to 600 kms. I dont wait as recommended at 800 or a 1000kms.

I own a street cruiser bike not a dirt bike which in comparison affects chain life substantialy in addition to riding style and technique. I attribute the long chain life mainly to this product as well to the quality of my x chain plus the fact I don’t hard accelerate from stop or at low speeds.

I do most of my spirted riding including moderate and sometimes heavy accelerating while in 4th or 5th gear. This factor helps considering my bikes 535lb mass is already in motion as opposed from still, or a dead stop then accelerating moderately or heavy up to speed.

This product is super clean and sets up to a waxy film within a few minutes up to 10 minutes, pending OAT. It sprays on nice without dripping not making a mess or waste, but is thin enough to penetrate the links and rollers before setup time to wax.

You will have the cleanest rim in comparison to any belt driven bike or another lubricating product. It stays on the chain ! It’s about the wax base lubricants that contributes to excellent lubrication and clinging to the chain with very little or no fly off.

And the best thing about it is you never need to clean your chain including wipping it down. There is no need, simply because this product is very clean and waxy and over time it cleans itself without buildup on the rim.

This of course no introduction of dust or road dirt. Having wrote the above if you get caught in the rain driving more then 50kms or so the priduct like most will wash off, hence the chain gets cleaned, but dont continue driving many kms in the rain as you don’t want an unlubricated chain !! Price point it has gone up considerably over the last few years, but if you are long term chain guy/girl I suggest buying two or three cans at one time, shopping of course for best price! In conclusion, no need to buy very expensive synethic based products which in most cases will perform the same as this product and some leave more dirt and buildup from flying off onto the rim.

I hope as long as I am a chain guy that I can keep buying Maxima ! !.

I have used Belray chain lube/wax for nearly 30 years with no complaints until I finally got a gold chain. I was using the Belray super clean and when I finally bought a gold chain it looked like a 2 year old with a box of white crayon’s went at it Everytime I cleaned and lubed the chain which kind of negates the whole reason we run gold chains(because they look better than black).

A friend of mine told me about the Maxima chain wax so I have it a shot and absolutely love it. It goes on a tan, brownish color and really wet like Belray so it soaks into the places you want the lube to be then it gets tacky after a few minutes when applied to a warm chain but after a couple hours it fully cures into a no fling almost dry lubed that nothing sticks to and just so happens to be gold in color.

The key to using this lube is warm your chain, spray or on and let it set up for a couple hours before you ride and you will be pleased with the results. This is not a spray and go lube unless you want it everywhere except the chain.

This has never been a problem for me as I always wash my bike and clean the chain before the next ride. It’s a very good lube for us track and off-road riders period. – -m-DIRT BIKE–.

Did you know? With 10. 5 inches of wet snow, I thought it would be too much for my snowblower to push the snow through the chute and throw it clear of the driveway. I had an idea that my Griot’s Spray On Wax just might give the snowblower’s internals a slippery enough surface to keep that wet snow from sticking to the moving parts and forcing me to repeatedly stop to clear jams.

I purchased this product at an auto parts store (first time I have done that with a Griot product) and I was very underwhelmed. A first for a Griot product. It’s supposed to be spray on and wipe off.

Nope. I left “dark” areas like the old carnauba wax would when you wiped it off and were you hadn’t evenly spread the wax. There are other easier to use much more forgiving and every bit as shine producing and lasting as this product.

Guess everyone has to have at least one clunker and this is it for Griot.

This is the easiest to apply wax I’ve ever come across. And it has great shine! I use it every time I wash the car, just a light spray. Not much extra work as you spray it on before you dry, then just dry the car as you normally would.

And the shine/protection easily lasts until the next time you wash your car (probably longer, but why bother – it’s so easy to use every time).

I purchased this after a recommendation from Nick, and I must say, it is really good, BUT, I have experienced some streaking, even when not in direct sunlight. When using this to freshen up my Pinnacle Souvrean wax job on my black truck, 90% of the time it works flawlessly.

Every once in a while I will experience streaking, to the point that I needed to use High Gloss Detail spray to remove the streaks. Now this might have been operator error. Perhaps I sprayed too much product on the panel, I’m not sure.

If I spray the Trademark Extender Spray Way on my microfiber instead of directly on the panel, it works fantastic. I have had people stop me and ask what I use to keep my 2002 F350 7. 3 looking so great.

Went into my local Halfords and purchased Muc-Off motorcycle polish to use on my carbon fibre bicycle. Brilliant shine on the bike and so easy to use with no white streaks but there was an added bonus.

After a50 mile cycle on country backroads my bike was filthy and so I hosed it down to start the cleaning process. With the coat of excellent polish the dirt and grime hosed straight off with no further cleaning needed.

Not the cheapest product but you get what you pay for. Will definitely be a repeat purchase for me and would highly recommend it to others.

I have been using this product for about 6 months now and cannot find fault with it. Just spray on, leave for a few seconds and polish off. I have noticed that prolonged use of this product put a thin protective layer on to your bike, that repels water, dust and general road dirt.

Highly recommend.

The spray itself does a really good job. Been using it for many years. Iv recently had 3 full cans go wrong and block up to the point of useless. But halfords gave me 3 brand-new cans so can’t complain.

I own 2016 650R ninja, it was the first time since I bought the bike I did a wax job. If you take your time clean the bike let it dry then use this wax giving it time to dry as well. It will leave your bike look nice and fresh for the bike season, bike looks just as good as I first drove it off the shops lot.

At first I was little meh about it but after I let it dry you can really see the wax! Use a clean Micro cloth and BAM! she looks for clean.

I have an all black kawasaki ninja zx6r and if your familiar with supersport bikes you know that they have a lot of painted plastic and not metal like most of your cruisers and touring type bikes. Well I was looking for a polish/wax that could get rid of all the scratches I had on the bike and most polishes for cars are to abrasive and harsh on motorcycle fairings so i decided to try out meguiars motorcycle liquid wax which is also a polish.

After I washed and did a clay bar job on the bike I applied some of this stuff and it went on real easy and dried in minutes and it didnt take any effort to buff out. Easy on easy off just like it says.

This stuff did an exellent job of getting rid of all of the imperfections and scratches on the back and left it with a nice clean black showroom shine. I couldn’t be more that my black bike looks new again.

Thanks meguiars for finally making products for bikers and thanks walmart for carrying this because its hard to come by. I would definitley recommend this to my fellow riders!!.

Bought this today after spending a long time hanging around Halfords polish counter looking at various reviews online! I usually use another brand of resin polish, however, recently it just doesn’t seem to produce the same finish.

I tried this one and its outstanding! It goes on very easily with the enclosed sponge pad. Allow to dry and buff off the residue. Then polish to a beautiful deep shine. Take my advice and invest in a pack of Microfibre cloths: use one to remove the excess and then a second to buff and keep changing regularly so they dont clog.

I have a deep red metallic colour on my car and the finish is great. Easy on easy off. Happy customer!.

been using this product for three years. Now I can’t find it.

I have Harley Street 750 with demin (matte) finish. Didn’t feel like going to dealership for their quick wash. Bought this instead. Put cycle in shade, wet the cycle, sprayed liberally, waited about 15-30 seconds, rinsed off really good.

Used those Scott Blue shop towels to dry gently. The matte finish doesn’t seem disturbed. Water marks / stains appeared briefly but disappeared while drying. Ultimately, this product seems to do what it says for routine washing.

My cycle was NOT extremely dirty (other than dust), muddy, covered with bug guts or otherwise dirty. So I cannot comment on that aspec. t.

Purchased this looking for a way to clean my Speed Triple as it is a daily grinder and faces all types of road grime, dirt, etc. This gets the job done very well, but in my case I found I needed to use a lot.

I would recommend this for an initial deep wash and would recommend supplementing with some hand washes in between. It got off the grime and stuck on debris with ease with a well placed hose and being careful not to spray into nooks and crannies I couldn’t dry by hand.

I found I needed to go back a couple of times, but I think it was due to my fear of the chemical ruining the finish or surface. It washed off cleanly enough and I did not notice any negative effect on my paint or any other surfaces of the bike.

Bike was very shiny after drying via air methods. I found that I did not need to go back and wax or add anything to get the bike to sparkle.

Works as advertised. wet the bike, spray on the cleaner, rinse the bike. Dry and ride. This is the 3rd foaming cleaner I’ve tried for my motorcycle and the only one that I’m happy with. It removed bugs, dirt and grime.

After using I had one dried on bug splat that I rubbed off with my hand. I use Meguiar’s spray on wipe off product for in-between “big cleanings” and it works as advertised too. Every product of theirs that I have used is a professional quality detailing cleaner.

I’ve been using this product for a couple of years. It cleans as waxes the bugs and road splash dirt very well. Highly recommend but it’s a bit pricey in Canada.

I wash my Harley softail dry it and then put this on the tank and the fenders and man it just makes it beautiful this stuff is good you dont even need to wash your bike but I do just to get you know if theres any grains of sand or dirt on there I dont want it scratching but this product is bad to the bone.

Excellent product which seems just as good as the competition. Just one application, done.

I have been detailing cars for 25 years now and came across hundreds of waxes and polishes. Used very expensive and cheap ones, testing loads too. I found this item on ebay around 7-8 years ago and bought it from Johnny Woods and never looked back.

Fantastic product and at around 22 a bargain. Some of the waxes I used in the past would take forever put on and ages to get off and not leave a very good shine or finish. When rained or water tested not very good on the beeding too, but after using Harly’s, test it with a glass of water or if it rains you will see the beeding and water flying off.

I have spent a lot of money on expensive products and still have loads in my garage, but I will stick with Harley. When applying do not use a lot as then it does get difficult to get off. It’s a easy on, easy off wax.

Use proper microfibre cloths too take the wax off and applicator pad to apply the wax which is supplied with the product. Always wash and clean the paint work properly too and dry the car using a microfibre towel.

I do clay bar my cars too if the paint work is rough and needs a polish too. Then finish off with the Harley Wax and can use to two coats if using first time. You will also notice the paintwork smells really nice too after using the product.

Will last months beforeusing again, depends on how much you drive the car and weather conditions too. Check out the thousands of 5 star reviews if you don’t believe me.

I have always been slightly OTT when it come to keeping my cars in mint condition and have a shelf full of waxes and polishes. At the beginning of the year I decided to seek advice from the Detailing World forum and tried a ceramic coating for the first time.

I was initially pleased with the water beading etc, but the shine wasn’t quite what I had hoped for. A few months later I then tried even more expensive ceramic; the shine didn’t really improve, although I am sure it was probably doing a good job of protecting the paint.

I still wasn’t getting the results I had seen on other peoples cars. A friend in the club told me about Harly Wax and loaned me his tin. He never got it back! My R8 looks better than new! Harly is so easy to use, and the shine is amazing – it’s almost addictive.

It goes over the top of ceramic coatings without any trouble at all. I can’t recommend this stuff enough. I’ll be back for more.

Ive just received my second tin of Harley wax. Its definitely the best wax Ive ever used in nearly 50 years of car cleaning. Easy to apply and buff off with amazing results. Paint really pops in the sun and the water beading is fantastic.

An easy to use spray that delivers a fine mist of carnuba wax that polishes of without fuss to leave a brilliant shine. I was a user of their main competitor- no more better quality for a lesser price.

I had to buy another can of polish because the nozzle stopped working. And the can is nearly full. And I have spoken to other people about this product and they have said the same.

Good quality wax and polish that I used on a bicycle frame, which did make it look great!
