20 Best Wax For Trucks (2022 Updated)

Ive used this quite some time now and Im totally pleased with it

I first used this on my new Ford Mustang and was blown away by how shiny it was! And how easy!! Then put it on my old oxidized Mitsubishi Eclipse and wow, like a new clear coat! It even lasted several months outdoors in rain and shine.

Now I use it on everything: patio furniture, appliances, under the hood of the Mustang, anything that needs sealing. Also, so inexpensive compared to other products that can perform this well. And made by Turtle wax? Who woulda thunk?! I will obviously keep using it!.

I bought this to provide a final wax coat after a good DYI detail. Goes on like any other spray quick detailer and it certain shines BUT it just doesn’t seem to have the same depth of shine and that hardness feel the old paste wax had.

Maybe that is just the new technology of spray on modern metal or simply what you get for less elbow grease. As I indicated, it is good for a quick detail after a wash but I think I will be going back to the more labour intensive paste and hard buff.

Like a Turtle Shell should be.

I watched a video where a guy washed his car in 80-90 degree Texas heat. He showed how quickly the water spots formed after he washed and rinsed his vehicle. He sprayed the Formula 4 on the same area and then after rinsing, you could see the water bead off and not immediately spot.

He then wiped off any remaining water very easily. I duplicated this in similar temp heat and it worked just like in the video. I even tried it without wiping and I still had minimal water spots. I would still recommend to wash with good car wash to get built up dirt, bugs, and bee droppings (those little light orange/brown spots you wonder where they came from).

Then just spray from a bottle (I use a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio – Water: Formula4), and let set for just a few mins, then rinse with a good jet spray of water. Wipe down immediately and you’ll notice the difference.

At least I did.

Couldn’t wait to use this spray wax. Read directions that suggest dilution 1:10 I diluted 3:10. I wanted ti use it for water spots because I have very hard water. I rinsed the car and sprayed the wax alllllll over the car with a pump sprayer, even went around the car a second time just to make sure I got every area of the vehicle.

Well the product does work! However, I used way to much product. It smeared my windows and I used double the micro fiber towels because it smeared as I wiped. My windows was so smeared I had to strip them to get them back right.

So I think the suggested 1:10 Dilution is appropriate or use just 1 spray per panel. But it does work great! I highly recommend this product.

Nice shine, but I can’t say I love it. It leaves streaks and requires more passes with the microfiber to buff off, compared to other products I use. The sprayer puts out a lot of product so be prepared for that.

I did one half of my hood and moved to the other half and ended up having to do the first half again because there was so much over spray. I would be cautious using this on a black car because I know how streaky black paint can be.

I would not like this at all if I still had my black car. I haven’t tested it’s hydrophobic qualities yet but I can say the paint is super slick to the touch, even more than it was, and it was pretty slick.

This is a brand new car with only 400 miles on it and it’s been waxed and sealed. I also use products like this on my rims because it causes any dirt to just slide right off with your microfiber. You can just wipe off brake dust.

It won’t even stick as long as you have a good clear coat. It’s also good for exterior trim and glass. It just streaks a bit too much. I don’t like having to go over my car with a chamois afterwards and if I don’t I’ll find streaks or patches of dried product because of all the overspray here and there when I’m just walking around the car.

In the picture with the streaks that was after three passes with my microfiber cloth and you can see there was still a lot more wiping I would have to do to get all that product off. Every pass of your cloth is a chance to make scratches so I don’t like products that require a lot of wiping.

Maybe if they adjusted the sprayer to release less product that would help but even when I am careful to not pull the full squeeze and release a smaller amount of product, even that smaller amount needs more wiping than Meguiars or Griott’s.

But back to that shine—it could be my imagination but I think it’s a little shinier. The picture of the passenger side of the car is before Mother’s and then the picture of the driver side is after Mother’s.

I buy this all the time. Cinnamon scented quick detail spray. This stuff is the most amazing thing ever created. I use it for touch up wipe downs – plus I use it with my clay bar. I only wish I could buy a barrel of it.

This product can be either your worst nightmare or your sweetest day experience. The negative review here below is perfectly understandable because that user didn’t use the particular technique with this product.

This wax should NOT by applied like your regular cream or solid wax. Or you will wish you’ve never wanted to wax your car that day in the first place. Instead, here’s how to apply this product, a very specific way.

Follow it to the letter, even if it doesn’t seem ‘reasonable’. This wax it doesn’t need rubbing and it doesn’t need polishing. Yet it will still stick to your car and it will look pristine, better that the best cream waxes out there.

You need to know that even if it seems very easy to apply, it actually takes some muscular force for each strike, so it’s quite physically exhausting, more than a regular cream wax. Prepare yourself in advance for a good 1-2 hours of work.

The following is the correct applying procedure. IMPORTANT: this procedure is NOT described on the bottle! Yes, you read right, if you follow the instructions on the bottle, you will ruin your whole day.

Do a test in a small corner first, if you don’t believe me. The right way to apply this wax is this: DO NOT spray directly on your car! The crucial things with this wax are those two: 1) apply the SMALLEST quantity to get a VERY thin film of wax and 2) buff it RIGHT away.

If you think, oh I will apply more wax so it will look even better, you will regret this. Or if you think, oh I should let it dry longer to get a haze, then I’ll wipe it off, you will regret it again.

So, have two rugs. One small for applying the wax, and one large for cleaning it. Spray ONE push on the applying rug then do a quick, straight, one feet long strike on the car. Don’t need to put pressure on the rug.

Don’t wait more than two seconds: right away with a single strong strike movement, use the cleaning rug to wipe the wax off. Apply strong pressure. The wax should come off in a single wipe! You will immediately notice the magic shining of this wax.

And. that’s it! You will have to keep going with strikes like this over the entire surface of the car. Good luck, and remember, never do this with the car surface warm from the sunshine. If you mess your procedure and the wax appears like an impossible to remove haze, do the right applying procedure over that surface a single time and everything will be back to a beautiful shine.

Got this to help my daughter detail her car prior to selling. It was worth every cent, really easy to apply and got a great polish finish. This was the last step of three polishes and it was totally worth doing the work (and buying the products) of the three steps.

I also invested in some quality polishing cloths which also were worth every cent.

Pretty easy to apply with a detailing microfiber sponge and wipe off with a microfiber towel. I used it on two drag racers and my daily driver and got a really nice shine from it. It does seem to attract dirt if drive on some gravel roads but bugs and stuff also seem to come off easier.

I think I’m going to switch to the synthetic sealant next time but this was good for the price.

Bought this wax and truly dislike it. I waxed my entire car and it seems to have a weird film on it. I have used other types of wax so decided to try Mothers and it will be the last. I wax my car frequently and when I used this wax there is some type of crazing on my car, which hasn’t happened with other waxes.

Did I get a bad batch? Also, seems like a lot of personal info is needed for this review.

I always buy this polish, I have been polishing cars for years . It’s harder to put on and take off but it is the best . Your car will shine beautifully, and it lasts well… love it

really great after washing. helps keep my paint looking good between full details. very hydrophobic and brings back protection when washes have started to wear down other coatings. nice and easy spray off and rinse or spray bon after wash and dry works great either way for me.

turtle wax carnauba paste wax cleaner excellent product leaves great shine after slightly more effort than some other products I used. Product does come with foam applicator hidden beneath card disc in lid to amend my previous review error OOPS !.

The days of spending hour upon hour first applying and then laboriously removing wax on your car are forever but a distant memory. This Turtle wax application could scarcely be easier to use to effect a brilliant finish – a matter of minutes in either direction and the results transform your vehicle.

Here’s the thing; I’ve tried countless waxes and polishes over the years. I’ve even done comparisons using one product on half the car VS another. I’ve used expensive and run-of-the- mill products. My sample times have usually been apply in the Fall, see how it performs over a southern Ontario winter, then re-apply with something else in the Spring and see how it withstands the relentless heat/humidity.

My experiments have been on plain, untreated factory paint. I found the Meguiar’s Ultimate Wax to last the longest. It beads water the longest and remains durable with occasional brushed car washes over the winter.

It takes the longest to break down. Aside, it also leaves a fantastic shine with simply one easy to apply coat. If you are looking for longevity in your protection, this one beats out a ton of other products on the market.

I bought this to wax a class B motorhome based on a 20 foot van. I had bad recollections of waxing our old 40 foot motorhome, which would take an eternity. I washed the van then got busy waxing. Instead of trying to pour the wax onto the vertical sides and watching it run off, I poured some on the supplied applicator pad and applied it to one panel at a time, or even a half panel for the large ones.

Then I would apply to the next panel while the first dried. Then it was just a process of waxing one, letting one dry, and polishing off the already hazed one. Relatively quickly I was done. Now, a couple months later, the van still shines and seems to stay clean.

After a recent trip the bugs simply wiped off without the usual scrubbing. Water still beads and rolls off well. I have a car with dealer-applied paint protectant that I bought about the same time as I waxed the van.

The Mequiars seems to bead and repel water better than the expensive coating on the car. And it did not even take the full bottle to do the entire van including all glass. The best wax I have used in over a half century of driving.

Not perfect, but still better than anything exceptmvery high-end polishes requiring major labor to apply.

This stuff works great. It can be applied fast by hand and after about 2-3 minutes can be quickly removed/leveled. My car is a deep red with a lot of metal flake and pearl, and this did add a glossy depth to it.

Shine/reflectivity is immediately noticeable after finishing. I recommend applying this by hand since using a power buffer or other tool is not necessary (there are no abrasives in this like a compound or polish).

Using a small round foam or microfiber applicator pad to apply it works best. Once the pad is loaded/saturated, applying a mininal amount of product to the pad is all that is needed. Just enough to evenly coat the paint.

If you use too much too thick and you wait too long to wipe it off, it will be a struggle to remove it and will take some extra elbow grease and time. When applying thin, you need to have a good angle of sight across the body panel so you can distinguish a reference point where you applied it, and also see that you are applying conservatively but covering fully without running “dry.

” The instructions say to wait 3-5 minutes to wipe and remove. for most conditions i have found that 1-3 minutes is easier to remove depending on whether you are in sunlight or shade. 5 minutes seems a little long for this product as it sets up fast to the surface.

Also be aware that this will not haze or “fog up” like an old-school wax. Generally, if you are applying it correctly, the foggiest it will look is the instant you apply it. After a minute, it will become less hazy and start leveling off, and depending on your paint it may be hard to see where you did or didnt apply it before you remove it.

For removal a microfiber towel is okay, but I recommend a finer fiber mit or detailing cloth, the results seem smoother and more consistent with the softer plush detailing towels. The hydrophobic properties of this stuff is great.

Water beads and falls quickly with little to no trace. What’s nice is that you dont have to worry about avoiding black plastic trim, chrome, plastic, or glass. Theres no white residue or weird effects.

This stuff can be used on all of that, including headlights, exterior glass etc. I used it across some chrome pieces and some black plastic window trim and the door sails and it sets up nicely and added shine to them just the same.

This is one of my new favorite products as it can be applied quick without worrying about extra mess, and so far it seems to last quite a long time.

I have a 1993 Ford Ranger that is black. The hood has some streaks and is faded. This wax is so amazing that my truck thought it had gotten a new paint job! Easy on, easy off. NO hard work whatsoever.

This is what professional detailers use. Don’t be put off by the small size or the smell. It doesn’t smell nice like other consumer waxes, but the results are totally amazing. I’ve used many many different waxes, some expensive, some not, but this is the genuine item.

Most expensive wax I’ve ever personally used. Easiest on/off wax I ever used. Longest lasting wax I have ever used. Long lasting plus easy on/off outweighs price. Great stuff.

I was pleasantly surprised with both the P21S Paintwork Cleanser and, the P21S Concours Look Wax. The cleanser made quick work of the winters graying film, tar marks ect. with relative ease,leaving a gleaming polished finish.

The Concurs Wax went on easy and removal was just as easy. The final result giving the car finsh a brilliant deep shine. Excellent products!.

I use Meguiar’s Cleaner + Wax to remove paint oxidation and bring back the color. Best results are achieved with orbital polisher. Keep in mind this produc doesn’t last too much, and requires an immediate second application of your favorite protective, longer lasting wax.

I personally use Klasse All in One, which is not a wax but an acrylic sealer, way superior and longer-lasting than any leading wax.

This is an excellent wax for the money. Especially for older single stage paint that frequently needs a cleaning and waxing. It’s good on clear coat paints as well but keep it away from anything black plastic.

The liquid version is also very good but I feel the paste version has more cleaning ability. I have used it for years and will keep using it.
