20 Best Wax For Wheels (2022 Updated)

I like this product, it has not let me down as far as letting dust damage the wheels. I use this on 2 Audi’s, a Lexus, and a Jaguar. It just doesn’t last as long as I like. About 6 months, tedious when you need to wax the barrels too.

Over all, great shine, good brightness, and quality protection. Right now, I’m testing 2 coats on the Audi 5-Arm Rotor’s.

Firstly the smell. Secondly the coverage. Please review the “how to video” here on the TW page. You’ll notice how much is used, and that’s about what it takes! A lot of product used for for one session.

As far as tire cleaning, I have never met another product that cleans like this one. As far as wheel cleaning, I did not notice any difference over just car shampoo and a good set of tools.

This product works great! My wheels and tires came out super clean. Unfortunately it takes a lot of product to thoroughly clean my wheels and tires. Despite them relatively clean. I’ll use this product, but only when I need a deep clean, which is probably this products intended purpose.

I’ll continue to use an APC for my regular washes.

A decent wheel cleaner. I don’t think it’s as good as the latest Turtle Wax wheel cleaner that has iron remover in it. This didn’t clean quite as well and took more scrubbing effort to produce a similar result.

Still a great product though, just not the top wheel cleaner they offer.

I wound up using the entire bottle in one go so I was surprised at that, definitely helps get things off including light rust but I wasn’t able to purchase specialized wheel brushes at the time and I recommend that for pretty dirty wheels and mine are.

I have used a variety of products before so I attribute some of the buildup that is left to that and a lack of proper wheel brushes but it does seem to have helped some. Be careful using it on paint though as it may damage certain coatings, it definitely seemed to do something to my hood paint but that paint isn’t in the best shape to begin with but I followed instructions and rinsed it off fairly quickly and was able to remove any problem this product may have left with some spray ceramic wax.

it does still smell a bit though although perhaps not as bad as previous products but is by no means pleasant.

Worked really well on medium to heavily soiled wheels & tires. Reacted straight away with embedded iron deposits. Did have to agitate with collection of brushes & I did go over the tires a 2nd time with an APC.

I also used this to decon the paint. Worked very well but do not let it dry out on the paint.

Had a lot of brake dust from getting new brakes. I sprayed this on and let it sit for a bit while I washedy windows. When I came back I was using the woolies to clean the spokes of my wheels and everything was coming off.

The wheels sparkled so nice. I finished the tires off with the turtlewac shine and my car was pimpin.

I like the green bottle Turtlewax tire and wheel cleaner at half the price of this hybrid solutions version. This does a great job of foaming and cleaning but it has a little unusual smell and leaves the tires with a sort of water beading when you rinse.

It does a great job, just a little different results.

Have been using this for several years. Goes on easily (I highly recommend using the blue 3-inch pads, on the black gripper). Apply liberally. Doesn’t drip. You will use a lot of it, over time. My first bottle was an eight-ounce.

They now wisely just sell it in a sixteen-ounce bottle. I will say that the product has a tendency to leak out of the top of the bottle. My latest bottle even leaked a bit during shipping. But it’s good stuff.

I just store the bottle in a quart Ziplock, in my trunk bag.

I did bit of research, regarding tire cleaning and conditioning. The last thing I wanted was SHINNY tires on my 69 Corvette. Griots had good information and a video, explaining that there rubber cleaner and tire dressing would allow for many levels of shine.

I followed the directions for the cleaner and dressing, for me just one light application. The tires look clean and almost like new, a nice matte black color. I have not take the car out yet however its been 3 – 4 days since application and they look great.

Shipping was quick, and the ordering process was easy too.

I bought this to use on our tires, but did not want the overly shiny look. This product works perfectly! I used the blue application sponges (seemed to get frayed during initial use; strange. ). Dressing has been on for 2 weeks and still looks great.

I found another use for this product on my wife’s 1996 BMW black trim on bumpers and doors. Restored them to black and so far, same lasting effect as on tires!.

I had the unfortunate need to wash my car soon after washing, waxing and treating my tires and windows. The freshly washed car was driven 100 miles and ended up in downtown Los Angeles, where it was subjected to all sorts of [email protected] ending up on my car.

I did not know what it was and I don’t want to know. Even though waxed with an excellent carnauba and silicone dual coating, I was concerned about burning on the paint, so I started off by rinsing my car off to see how much came off without having to wash with an appropriate automotive soap.

When doing that, I noticed a great deal of runoff from the tires. It was disappointing as I would figure this stuff was more waterproof. It lost a little bit of its lustre, not all, thankfully. If I had another couple of weeks to reflect on this, I might say it has maintained it shine, but as it stands now, I don’t think this is quite as durable as I wished it would be.

I will wait some time, let a couple of storm systems pass through and reevaluate. Who knows, maybe it’ll hold up after that initial rinse off and the car wash.

OK, here’s my scenario: Gloss black, 2014 Challenger, in VEGAS. I’ve been through just about every scratch correction process known. As of lately, I’ve become a big Chemical Guys fan(the guys all know my car at both Vegas shops), one time, I was advised to try the Slick Finish.

It’s a hand applied micro abrasive. I JUST did my hood, for the second time in a week, and, I’m SOOO impressed, I’m writing my first EVER, review!! I highly recommend this product for all your light to medium scratches!! It’s easy to apply, give it a few moments to cure, use a polishing cloth to remove, and I promise, you’ll see your big smile via your high gloss shine!!.

So. First off I like to start with the GOOD things about this specific product. I absolutely love Meguiar’s products but unfortunately this one doesn’t cut it for me. It provides the “WET” look for sure, BUT.

the 2 biggest downfalls of this. 1. I understand this is a spray and not the GEL, but even when following the directions spot on it doesn’t last long as ALL. Maybe 2/3 washes and that’s being very limited on the amount i’m using.

2. If you don’t have mudflaps of some sort, it will FLING down your quarter panels and you’ll need to wipe them down after driving. I’ve driven a few minutes after applying the dressing, and i’ve tried a few hours after.

Both unfortunately have the same result. At first I thought that maybe I was using too much, so I tried using very little. Same result.

My friend told me about this “spray wash” after I bought a new car. He showed me how he applies it and the results on his 2015 Camry. I was impressed and bought three bottles of to use on my 2022 Rav-4.

I wash it first then applied it on the entire exterior. I then applied “Macguire’s” spray and wipe wax. Now I only have to dust off my car and it looks fantastic. I strongly recommend this product. I bought it on-line because I could not find it at any of the local stores including Wal Mart.

This stuff don’t get me wrong works amazing for it purposes but the finish in this is very oily which is not what I want when using a product like this. I can go to the dollar 25 store and buy a product that works a million times better for cheaper and doesn’t give an oily finish.

Overall this product is a love hate relationship and I wouldn’t buy it again due to the oily finish.

It did a superb job on my dash giving it a professional non glossy look. My SUV is black on outside and inside. It is very noticeable when it has dust and this lasted quite awhile clean before any dust collected again.

It gave my car that new car look when u first sit in about to test drive it or walk out the dealer with it. It is now my new favorite detailer to use every time my SUV needs a cleaning inside. Couldn’t believe it even worked on the glass windows! I was doubtful it wouldn’t leave any streaks.

It was like a glass cleaner. It did not fail me when I cleaned the inside of the windshield and all the windows. I will definitely be buying more of this and spreading the word on how effective it is for the professional detailer look everyone wants.

I’ve tried them all. None comes close. Collinite Cleaner followed by Collinite Paste Wax keeps my 1972 cruiser looking like new. Everyone asks if I did the ‘restoration’ myself and I have to tell them there was no restoration, just a good coat of awesome wax!.

Have read many reviews so thought I would try it. Goes on easily and cleans simple scuffs and general fiberglass dirtiness. Supposedly leaves a long lasting shine. waiting to see how long lasting. So far the shine is very nice.

Highly recommend using this product if your boat is beginning to fade or has light fading. Use this cleaner wax with a buffer at 2500 rpm. Do a 2’x2′ area, following up with Collinite’s Fleet Wax. You won’t regret it.

Since I discovered pro polish I have only used it for my rv, car and truck. (I may use something else to remove oxidation or heavy staining followed by pro polish) This product is easy to apply and lasts a long time.

I apply to my rv approximately once a year and it looks great. By the way it is a 1996 model and resides outside year round. No white residue around edges and other projections due to lack of fillers is an added bonus.

I look forward to my continued use of pro polish into the future.

Had used many polish and waxing products over fifty years of boating, but Pro Polish used with Shurholds eccentric polisher / buffer creates the longest lasting full boating season shine that I’ve experienced.

Easily removes mild oxidation and leaves a brilliant shine on the hull of my black and white SeaRay Sundeck. My 18 year old boat looks new every year.

I only wash my cars by hand and use this product about every other wash or two. It leaves a spotless surface and the beading that takes place after the rain or the next wash is amazing. The extra step of using this keeps my cars cleaner and makes them much easier to wash thanks to the resilient barrier it creates.

Its also priced better than the competition in the stores, which is a definite plus !.

I was using 303 Automotive Spray Wax recently, when a friend stopped by. He asked what I was using, so I showed him the bottle. He walked around my SUV and said “looks like you’ve used that 303 Spray Wax on the hood and front bumper.

” I replied “yes, how can you tell?” He replied “it’s easy. those parts are much shinier than the rest of your SUV. ” He was right! I finished waxing the rest of the SUV, then handed him the bottle of 303 Automotive Spray Wax.

He said “you finished waxing in record time. why are you handing the bottle to me?” I said “I see your truck parked out there, in the street. it really needs some 303 Spray Wax. ” He happily took the bottle home and waxed his truck.

I doubt that I’ll see that bottle of 303 Automotive Spray Wax again!.

Finally, 71 degrees out today after 30+ inches of snow 3 week ago. Pulled the bike out of storage and went for a 3 hour ride. Upon returning home, the front of the bike had a couple dozen bugs on the fairing, forks and fender along with light water spray which dried on the lower frame.

The Speed Detailer made an easy job of cleaning up the bike. While up on the lift, I also tried the Quick Wax. Both products worked excellent. The Detailer removed the dried on bugs with almost no effort and the Wax went on silky smooth.

After wiping down the rims, I applied the Quick Wax to the rims as well to make future cleanings even easier. I could not believe how quick it was to complete the clean-up using these two products to keep your ride in perfect condition.

Now the weather predicts 1-2 inches of snow in about a week, so the bike is back in hibernation for another month or so. Thanks 303 for saving me a lot of time in cleaning up my bike after my ride today.

I’ve been using this wheel cleaner for over five years and have have tried a lot of products but I find best results for the price using Turtle wax. This will not get your tire clean by simply spraying and rinsing off.

EVEN WITH A PRESSURE WASHER WHICH I HAVE. If you want to have a truly clean tire then good luck finding a spray that you can just soak the tire and rinse. good luck, there isn’t one! by spraying this on the tire and then a little on some brush or pad and simply with ease wiping not need for scrubbing unless the dirt has been there for a while and hardened really hard.

If you maintain your tires then you will never need to scrub with this product but simply wipe. I will never spend high $$$ for a product that can just spray and clean because I like my tires really clean and they will only let you down.

If your a simpleton or dont care but only that the tires dirt came off then go ahead and buy a spray and rinse. this is for people who like to detail and get results and are not afraid to get on a knee a wipe each tire for a minute.

I do have polished stainless steel tires. If you are buying this to use on Hub caps the DONT! use soap and water this is only for Wheels or for some RIMS. it is a good product please disregard the 1 star review.

I hate wirting reviews but I really like this product and so will other people. give it chance.

Had a new set of tires installed, had mold release or bead lube or both on the sidewalls. Tried various methods including full strength simple green to no avail. Had not used a dedicated tire cleaner before, but I’m sold on this.

It took off all the crud with a medium bristle brush. Want your tires to look black again, use this.

Did not clean my slightly dirty chrome GMC wheels. Used as directed at a coin op car wash…even with high pressure the result was dirty wheels. Threw it in the trash.!

This foaming cleaner gave my wife’s car wheels a sparkling clean finish. One star off because there is a budgetary downside – I used one third of the new bottle to clean four wheels. The foaming spray head goes through a lot of product very quickly.

NB – Zero marks to Turtle Wax Customer Service for ignoring my emailed enquiry about whether this cleaner would be safe for the anodised forged wheels on my Porsche.

I bought this because I generally trust turtle wax, but it was horrible. It left weird spots on my tires and left a white residue all over my wheels. I followed directions and even tried cleaning the wheels twice but it messed up my tires and no other products have been able to fix it.

And overall it didn’t work and left residue making the problem worse.

Mainly used it to clean my tyres more than wheels as I typically wash the wheels regularly. Used a Tyre brush after soaking for a minute and worked great. Gives the cleaning an extra boost on the tyres to get rid of the brown and get the colour back to black before applying tyre shine.

I’ve tried a few, some cheaper, but not as good, some more costly, just as good. Dirt resistance is remarkable, nothing more than a wash with a much diluted safe wheel cleaner using a soft bristle brush clears all brake dust without any need for scrubbing.

In my case it was applied to freshly painted wheels and it lasts months with a minimum of a weekly wash. I’d say re-apply four times a year. Highly recommended.

This is without doubt the best product I have ever bought. It gets rid of stains and blemishes on the inside of the wheels and seals and protects the outside and shines like nothing I have ever used before.

I’ve used far more expensive rim waxes and this one is just as good at a bargain price. I recommend this product and recommend two coats on initial use. It’s long lasting and looks great once applied.
