Used this Minwax paste wax on an antique dresser. Much easier to use than a polyurethane as you can control the application much easier with a rag or cloth applicator. It does take more elbow grease to apply and buff out.

I used two coats as the dresser was down to bare wood. Comes in clear, natural and dark finishes. I used the natural as I wanted to highlight the wood a little more. I would not use this on high use surfaces such as a coffee table.

Results were great with a soft gloss finish.

We have quite old cabinets in our kitchen made of natural wood. Every now and then to freshen up, we use this wax and polish them. Now that it is spring cleaning time, it was time to do it again. It really helps to maintain and bring out the beauty of the wood texture and have it looking like new.

We use it on paneling and wooden tables and chairs as well. This is a trusted brand and a product that is pleasant to use every time.

The beeswax finish for wood was a finish that I was taught at school by a ‘Silver-Medal’ woodworker who, before our eyes, and in minutes sawed a t-joint that when assembled looked impossible to take apart – with apparent ‘dovetailes’ not allowing it to be pulled in any direction to separate the two pieces.

The secret was that the ‘dovetail’ entered from the bottom, finally rising into a perfect- looking impossible dovetail! He taught us to French Polish with linen pads and linseed oil. But you could get just as good a finish with just beeswax.

Some on here have difficulty with the precision lids not staying on properly due to building up pressure. I can’t believe that the manufactures provide separate plastic lids! The answer is simple – and as long as you are careful opening the tin – the contents will stay perfect for years because the solvent won’t evaporate.

It is advisable to put the lid back after EVERY charging of your polishing pad! You can use this trick also for the time when the freezer door won’t open because you have just shut it. Here’s what you do: btw it’s a Charlie©Trick! All you need is a small plastic straw.

When closing the lid you trap the straw in the lid – which of course flattens as intended. You purge as much air as you can without distorting the lid – and on its final seating slowly withdraw the straw – all the while it’s allowing pressured air to escape, until it’s finally seated.

Yes put it in a poly back for longevity but it will last a long time! See simple! And the freezer youight ask? Get a 4cm of slim plastic straw and sellotape it to the topmost right of the freezer frame which the door seats onto – it’s usually magnetic – and each time will let in a fraction volume of air in each time it’s ‘locked’.

See another Charlie©Trick! This was effective for years and was never a proble with, for example, mildew. It’s put at the top because as you all know it won’t try to let heavier cold air escape! While you are doing this give your new freezer (and any white good) a layer of beeswax too.

It’s great for preventing rust and sticking dust! My Bosch freezer lasted 42years – and was still working when taken to the dump. Another Charlie©Trick!.

Produces a great shine as well as protects the wood. Used after stripping and revarnishing some lounge furniture. Adds a professional finish. Certainly need a well ventilated space or wear a mask. Lid is tricky to refit.

Briwax will supply plastic lids if you contact them but I couldn’t get these to fit either. Nobig problem – just wrapped in a sealed plastic bag.

Excellent product, easy to apply & gives a great finish to our oak furniture. We had an oak nest of tables & an oak unit for our tv in the conservatory which we decided to paint with furniture paint, leaving the tops natural wood.

We wanted something to protect the wood but leave a natural colour without being too shiny. With Briwax being a well known name from the past we decided to try this & what a great finish it produces.

Although I had stained and protected my bench set I decided to add an extra layer of protection with beeswax! Not long after applying the wax to the table top and one chair it started raining and the difference in the water displacement was really noticeable.

Need to get it all waxed before winter sets in. This wax is amazing and just glides on and into any cracks in the wood. Polishes up nicely especially with the Furniture Clinic lint free cloths I purchased too!.

I bought this to polish up some dolls house furniture after staining it. I was really pleased with the result. I will be using it for my full size wooden furniture in future. It did seem quite expensive but you do get a lot for your money and only need to use it sparingly for a good result.

Great for restoring the shine on our old antique dining table. Hides/blends scuffs and scratches without losing the patina which is part of the real deal on old furniture. BE CAREFUL to buy the right shade for your furniture and follow instructions to rub it in with the grain, which makes it much easier to polish off.

I read the reviews of Fiddes Liming Wax and bought 4 tins. I have 1930s doors which were stripped and if waxed with normal clear or medium brown waxes would go extremely dark. In past renovations I have created a paler limed-oak style finish on them by laboriously layering medium waxes with liming paste or similar by hand.

Swearing each time never to do it again. But this liming wax is brilliant. You don’t need to scratch the surface to raise the grain (because it’s more a general lightening that I am after, rather than a streaked finish).

Brush it on, leave it and then buff. Then reapply either another layer or even it out with a mid brown and then do another top coat. I can’t tell you how infinitely delighted I am with this product. Anyone wanting to lighten 1930s doors (which tend to be quite an orangey brown) into a more Scandi style – this IS your product.

I loved using this product, the wax is rich and creamy and the colour was perfect. i have applied several coats now and the patination and shine is building beautifully. I recommend this product 100%.

I currently use Odie’s oil for my Charcuterie boards. But, was looking for a cost reducing way to finish my product. This is where it’s at!! One coat of oil and one coat of wax after finish sanding is all that’s needed!! Thank you Walrus oil!!! You make a great product!.

I use walrus oil products every day. They are a great company, make vegan products, and amazing quality. This oil is really easy to apply and feels and smells so good!

Unlike their excellent Walrus Oil, this product didn’t work for me. It is very hard to the touch in the can and not easily applied to the wood. I make a beeswax finish with jojoba oil that is much easier to apply so I’ll stick with mine.

Interior doors. Definitely one of the better waxed I’ve used. The wax is yellow like natural carnauba except a little more deeper, giving a warm tint to the finish. It’s not waterproof! I used it without gloves but felt no irritation on my skin.

Less toxic than briwax, which is another good wax. Apply with lint free cloth. Once the wax warms and softens. happy days. It’s the easiest to apply. This is definitely a wax I would recommend and it’s beautiful smelling.

This is an amazing product in every way. First, when you open the can you’re not repulsed by strong solvent fumes. It actually smells pleasant! Applying it is a dream. It glides on easily and evenly.

The drying time is short, and the buffing process is just as easy as the application. And the results? It gives wood a deep, satiny (but not too shiny) lustre that you have to see to believe. Absolutely beautiful.

French limed oak beams ‘lifted’ and lightened the beams in our bedroom so they didn’t feel like they were falling on our heads anymore. This product was excellent, easy to use and smells lovely too!! process we used worked a treat: 1.

wash the beams with bicarb soda/H2O/vinegar and then let them dry 2. wipe dry-clean beams with Liberon Liming wax working 1-2 feet only. 3. Use LIBERON BLACK BISON PASTE WAX [clear or neutral] to essentially wipe back the liming wax until the beams are as white/light as you want them.

You can use the amount of applications to control the shade. The more you put of the clear/neutral the more white smudge is wiped away. The last to be wiped away is the white in the wood grains. We left a mix of both.

4. once dry oil the beams with Tung Oil. Looks contemporary but still retains the historic affect too.

This is a wonderful product. It soaks into the wood well and provides a nice finish, and smells so lovely! My wheel looks great and is well-protected for the future. I will re-coat when it looks dry and there is plenty in the container for many, many uses!.

This was a lovely finisher for my loom! It was easy to put on (I just used a microfiber towel) and I was done waxing all the pieces in the time it took to watch an hour-long show. There’s no real smell to the wax either, other than a faint beeswax smell, and it felt really nice on my skin as well.

We are extremely pleased how well this wax restored the color and shine to all our wood furniture, wood blinds, and kitchen cabinets. We used on everything from 110-year-old Amish buffet furniture, to a 30-year old grandfather clock, faded wooden slat blinds, stairway handrails, and 5 year old table tops and kitchen cabinets.

It spreads far, the bottle covers a lot of area, and we have only used half the 16 oz bottle. Be sure to shake the bottle before the first use, until it becomes liquified like shampoo thickness, because the wax may ‘set-up’ when sitting on the store shelf.

It is real oily and greasy when putting on. Let it set for a full hour to really absorb into the surface, then wipe to blend in the oil and shine. We used a white tee-shirt to apply the wax, and a microfiber rag to wipe it off after an hour.

The wax adds a soft “eggshell” shine to the wood. Very pleased, and recommend it.

Shopping online with Walmart is quick, easy, and dependable; you can be sure the item is available when you are notified it is available for pickup. The products, usually shipped to the store for free, are quality items.

I highly recommend shopping using their online ordering system. The Feed-N-Wax appears to be a good product; it is a very thick consistency that is easily applied. I m not sure why they recommend a 20-minute wait time before buffing but I follow the instructions.

I normally use a lemon oil on wood products and could find no difference in either the application or end results. To me, the wood looked exactly the same using either product. Lemon oil is easier to use but leaves a “residue” that need to be absorbed into the wood; Feed-N-Wax leaves no residue once you buff the wood 20 minutes after application.

Refinishing oak kitchen cabinets. Tremendous amount of time consuming physical labor. I should have just painted them. Product is good and stains as advertised, but it is on the user to sand evenly if you want an evenly stained surface.

Changed sandpaper grit because I ran out and the stain depth changed at the point of transition. Also, don’t wait more than 20 minutes to buff it out or it will be more difficult to get the surface knocked down to a sheen.

After buffing, the surface will easily smudge and finger print. Otherwise the cabinets look ok.

I’ve used Briwax for more years than I care to remember. A great product and I’m pleased Tool Station sell it. I always use the original version and bought the Dark Oak to try this time. The finish isn’t as dark as the name suggests, and worked well on pine furniture.

Briwax gives a long-lasting deep finish that will buff up to a nice shine. It’s not cheap, but it’s the best polish I’ve used and recommend it.

This wax gave a really good finish to a pine table I had stripped. Very good quality wax though unpleasant smell so best to apply in well ventilated room. Annoyingly it was impossible to put the lid back on the tin.

It kept popping up. Contacted Briwax who were very helpful and said there had been a faulty batch of lids. They immediately sent me a green plastic lid to use instead. It was impossible to put that one on the tin also.

Briwax said if I put it out in the sun to soften it that it would definitely fit. Still couldn’t get it to fit so have taped on the lid with duct tape.

Applies easily, little dab will do ya’. Wipes off with a fake chamois leaving a smooth looking satin shine. Rain, mud and ground splash-up yuck wipes off quickly and easily after using this once. Keeps your wooden cane looking new and healthy.

Was delighted when I saw this on the Fashionable website. Have needed something like this for a long time. Easy to apply and use. Leaves an improved finish on the wood cane-shaft. Protects and extends the life of the cane.

It really does make my canes shine. They were getting a dull look and now that’s gone.

I was having my house painted and the painters were pressure washing the house and also spraying a bleach solution to kill mold. I have stained doors on front and back of house and the bleach solution had caused white streaks up and down the doors.

These streaks would not go away with scrubbing. I was fearful that the doors would have to be re-stained. I put some of this product on a soft white rag and started rubbing it into the finish of the doors.

I was totally amazed that the streaks just disappeared instantly and the doors looked better than they had in years! A week later they still look like they did when I first applied the product. It took five minutes to do a whole door.

What a product!!.

I had used Trewax 60 years ago when I had hardwood floors throughout my home. Loved it then and for some reason I still have some. I can’t remember if it is the same can or one bought to polish banister rails on the front porch.

I do stained glass now and I use it to polish my glass panels and protect the glass and solder/lead. Works great for that also. Thanks for staying in business. I recommend tree was to everyone.

I have been using this product for more than 10 years. My last old can still has product in it. Soft just like it was 10 years ago. Yesterday I bought a new can. The product was dried out with about 45-50% evaporated.

What was left was hard and unusable. I have heard of this problem but didn’t believe it. I do now, totally unusable. Need to rethink your can’s seal at least.

I have used Trewax Indian Sand wax Maple like in color on my floors and kitchen cabinets for years. I can not find it now. Do you still make that color. It just says Indian sand on my old can. I don’t how to get in touch with your company.

I inherited an old pump organ that had been stored for ages and not protected from the elements. I had to literally wash and scrape years of dust and dirt off of it. I used Howard’s feed and wax and was stunned that it was getting even more dirt off what I thought was clean.

I have an antique dresser that has seen better days. I decided to do some work on it and Howard’s feed-n-wax was recommended to me. I cannot stress enough how much of a difference this has made in my old dresser! The wood was tired looking with dings and scratches.

It now shines and you can hardly tell there were cosmetic defects. I also used this to wax the drawer slides (the drawers are wood on wood and I had the worst time pulling them in and out). The drawers work so smoothly now! It’s like a completely different dresser.

Bought this to use on a very old dresser thats not been polished in about 25 years. It smells beautiful, soaks in well and nourishes the wood. Its given the dresser a new lease of life. Lovely product, good value and I would definitely buy it again.

I bought this polish to use on a table I just bought that was very neglected and after just one application of this polish my table was transformed I couldnt have wished for better results after a second polish my table has been transformed also there is a pleasant smell of lavender in the room.

This product has way too many VOCs and harsh fumes, it does not seem safe for a home, home office, or even small office environment. I ended up having to dispose of it for my own health and safety and now I use Howard Feed N Wax instead, which seems to do a better job anyway, without so many caustic chemicals.

I don’t think I really need the dyes anyway for my walnut. I really regret my purchase of this and cannot recommend this product at all.

I own Room & Board’s Grove 10 drawer dresser in Walnut. After two years, the wood was looking dry and the color was a bit uneven. Room & Board staff recommended the Room & Board satin wax. It was very easy to apply and only took about 15 minutes to treat the entire dresser.

It buffed to a lovely satin finish and removed all the dry spots in the wood. It even “filled in” a few surface scratches the piece had sustained through normal wear and tear. Only downside is it should be used in a well ventilated area.

The polish has a distinct shellac smell, which did fade in an hour or so. There was no lingering odor.
