Dear Sirs Thank you for your reply. I have already contacted the support team. They could not solve the problem. They have sent me a replacement StreamCam, which has Exactly the same problem communicating with Asmedia chips.

After that they simply ignore all my messages. So now you see, I have tried not only every USB3 chipset Asmedia has produced till the moment, but also tried two units of your StreamCam from completely different batches.

For your information I have been ordering every Asmedia chipset based IO board from Amazon, by the list from Asmedia website. My Asus workstation motherboard is also equipped with the oldest USB 3 chip.

The latest chip I have in the system now is ASM3242 USB3. 2 20Gbit 2×2 PCIe3 x4 with aux power connector. It is blazing fast with SSD drives, but your StreamCam fails to supply the HD A/V stream reliably, when connected to Asmedia USB 3.

x ports. I hope you can help to push the developers making a new fixed firmware for the camera; which I dream of using in USB3/HDAV mode. Kind regards Andrey.

Have been waiting months during the pandemic for this camera to come back into stock. When I set it up, Windows 10 recognized immediately, no drivers to install. And the image quality was exceptional.

There is however the Capture software that adds things like Face Tracking, Chroma (green/blue screen) for background replacement and Text Overlay. It also lets you change the mic from stereo to dual mono.

As its name suggests, Capture is for recording video and snapping pictures. But the software must be started before you use your video chat software of choice, then selected as either the RAW Streamcam Image, or processed through Capture.

Rather annoying, as my old Quickcam Ultravision, had a driver and a software interface to setup features. Included was a Tripod and 2nd Clip, so the camera can be mounted on the Monitor Clip or the Tripod.

And it can automatically switch from Landscape to Portrait mode. The problem came when I tested the Microphone. All I got was a garbled sound like a child running on noisy floor. Disconnect, Reconnect, Uninstall Capture, Reinstall, over and over as I tried every idea I could find online.

After a week I reinstalled my old Quickcam Ultravision. Frustrated, I returned the Streamcam for a refund. If you happen to have a separate Desktop Microphone, or prefer a Headset/Headphones with a Microphone, then the Logitech Streamcam, will give you exceptional video quality.

Don’t rely on the built-in Microphone.

The Vitade 928A Pro (and 960A Pro, which I have also purchased) are excellent cameras and far often cheaper than Logitech models. They usually include a tripod, which is a nice touch, in addition to having a pivoting, swiveling stand that if not used on the tripod, can be hung on a monitor, as I am.

The units are well-constructed. The cameras are autofocus and 1080p resolution with a sharp image. The 928A Pro has a nice stereo microphone, and a manual shutter-slide cover. The 960A Pro has a built-in ringlight that has three brightness settings (tap to adjust or turn off).

Both have a red light; this mainly just indicates the unit is plugged in. No drivers are required; these cameras work automatically with Windows 10 when plugged in. I’m using the 928A Pro and my SO is using the 960A Pro I got her.

We are both very pleased, and I would buy them again.

Great little webcam with mic that works perfectly for my zoom calls. It has great lighting and good wide angle view. It was a great buy!

I never opened it and am returning. I was able to get my hands on a genuine Logitech C920 from Logitech themselves.

I purchased this for video chats from my home office setup because I bought a sit-stand conversion desk. I use it for both work and playing Dungeons & Dragons. I use it on both my 2013 Macbook Pro Retina and my work Dell running Windows 10.

Both operating systems recognized it immediately, and I can switch to it in MS Teams, Google Meet, Jitsi Meet, Zoom, and Discord via each tool’s settings. Most of these automatically recognize and switch to the webcam when I start them.

So props for ease of set up. The device itself can either be mounted onto a monitor via the built-in hinge-style clamp (it doesn’t actually clamp down, but has hinges that can be used to keep it in place, and grippy material to prevent it from sliding off), or the hinge can be folded to allow mounting to a 1/4″ camera stand (same thread as my DSLR).

It also folds up for portability and to protect the lens. For quality, I’m pleased with it. I downloaded the control software for MacOS and learned that I can either leave it at autofocus or manually adjust the focus.

It also gives me a preview window, and I can switch between widescreen and standard. It has digital zoom, which I don’t use, and isn’t very sharp. It also has auto white balance, which works okay, but I still prefer using a lamp for lighting up my video chats.

I use a separate microphone, so I can’t honestly rate the built-in one. Overall, I like this for its picture quality for online video chat, ease of use, and versatility (in case I want to mount it differently).

I’m not looking for 4K quality, which is why this webcam works for me. I’ve been pleased with Logitech’s quality over the years, and the build on this device seems to uphold those standards.

This web cam has been around for several years and still holds up to today’s standard especially during the pandemic wherein Zoom meetings are quite commonplace. Most laptop cameras are on 720p but this one has 1080p resolution which results in better video quality but not hogging your internet bandwidth.

Being foldable, this web cam is compact and is perfect for travel. The three feet cable may be sufficient if you are using it to complement a laptop. But a lot of users wish it were longer. And though there may be better Logi web cams out there, the price point of this web cam is ideal, I’d recommend this.

Bought Logitech 4K Pro for use with Windows Hello. Have not been able to get it to work on two Windows 10 laptops. Both are Dell laptops and one has a fingerprint scanner that works with Windows Hello with no problem.

I have spent several days reading solutions online and none of them worked. I have been back and forth with Logitech Support with no solution. Support has been responsive, but issue not resolved. This is a known problem just spend time researching online.

The problem starts with the item itself. The box says 4K Pro but show up in Logitech software as Brio 4k Stream. The serial number (S/N) on the box is different from the S/N shown in software, and from the S/N actually on the device.

Three different S/N’s. Support told me that the S/N actually on the device means that it is a Brio 4k Stream. They sent me a firmware update (program) but it would not work because the program is looking for EEPROM 1.

18 and this device has EEPROM 1. 21 so it will not update the firmware. I have tried every solution possible and I have a great deal of computing (PC) experience both building and troubleshooting. Logitech has three very similar products and my guess is that they have a manufacturing problem – just go their website and try to find the different products and spend time looking at the support sites for these products – confusing.

If you are not buying this camera for Windows Hello then I can tell you it works great and seemed to fulfill all other product claims. I only bought this because I thought that a higher quality webcam would surely work best for facial recognition.

This may be only a problem with manufacturing (different components coming from different manufacturers in China due to COVID and chip supplies). The EEPROM/firmware update issue I believe is the problem.

So some devices may have the correct EEPROM and be updated and work. Obviously, it does work for some people and is a good camera. Logitech has no solution for this and I will be returning it. Never could explain the different S/N’s.

I sent them pictures of the box, screen shot of Logitune, and actual device serial numbers. Confusing I know.

No joke, this webcam is expensive, and I wouldn’t say go out and buy one at regular price, but when there’s sales and you can save around $50 for a good quality webcam. I had 1080p webcam also from Logitech and while it did fairly fine whenever I had to web-conference, there are moments when the quality or current view state in which you might not show up at all in the camera view because of poor lighting or when the camera changes it’s settings on you and even though I was using [email protected] or even [email protected] or 60fps, if there’s poor lighting, it wouldn’t help with the noise or lack of quality, clearness, and professionalism.

Hence, finally I decided to try out the 4K model in hopes of understanding better quality options/recommendations/settings, etc. I’ve had this over 2 months now and it still continues to amaze me. P.

s. don’t download the Logi or camera setting app for this camera on either Windows or Mac because they fail to utilize or allow you to access the features or alter certain settings. The Logitech apps fail to correct the white balance and will give you a green tint with noise even if you uncheck the auto function for white balance, it fails to.

And for some reason, these apps don’t truly access the 4K video streaming/recording and still provide poor to moderate improvements in quality in 1080p and below. To truly make use of the 4K webcam for either streaming/recording/video-conferencing, you will need a software that is capable and I suggest a free and open source program called OBS Studios.

I appreciate this program for making things simpler to play around with the camera settings. In Windows you can manually change a few of the settings like white balance, saturation, contrast, brightness, etc and also let you access the 4K quality but probably better to go down a resolution still but I have little no problems at 4K streaming thanks to gigabit internet and graphics card.

I still can’t find these setting functions on my Mac though… Anyways, long review over. I would recommend this webcam when it’s on sale or when you’re sick and tired of your other webcam not providing enough lighting so you can be viewable or providing too much noise or exposure to try and compensate.

It took sometime to truly try it out and find out what the webcam can actually do and then find those resources. Before finding and reading about OBS Studio, I thought my webcam was faulty or the driver was corrupt or that these webcam truly just suck, but it’s really that Logitech softwares suck and don’t allow you to customize or utilize the 4K webcam features so I can imagine a lot of negative reviews about this webcam is probably due to being limited to the Logitech softwares.

I needed a new webcam for meetings. It is expensive (I managed to get this one on sale) but it works great. The software makes it extremely easy too adjust the camera settings and view, making it versatile for many applications.

Nice clear picture and sound which I feel makes for a more professional atmosphere in meetings. I also like that it also works with Windows Hello for quick and easy sign in to the desktop (which factors into the price).

I use it in two different settings, one for personal meetings where it rests on top of my monitor and the other setting is for larger meetings where we attach it to tripod in room so we can fit multiple people in the view.

This leads me to my only dislike and that is the mounting system, I wish the tripod mount and the monitor clip were integrated (like the Anker c300) so I don’t have to pull it apart when I frequently switch from one setting to the other.

I’m afraid something will eventually break or get lost in the shuffle. If you want one of the best cameras on the market then give this one a chance.

There are serious flaws with this webcam in the UK market: 1. There is no way to update the firmware. 2. The device name is not something like “Logitech c9830c” but a series of Chinese characters with 930 amongst them.

3. The device is not plug and play on all devices running Windows 10. My 2020 Surface Pro tablet had the webcam working with most of the advertised features (although no updating option and a number of other options unavailable).

However, my 2016 Lenovo Ideacentre desktop (again on Windows 10) did not recognise the device straight away and although I got the camera to work with Zoom, no additional features were available. 4. Logitech software.

There isn’t any. When you go to their website and choose to download software for the 930c then they will send you the software for 930e. When you install that software, your computer will inform you that no appropriate device is connected.

The 930c is NOT just a minor change of the 930e (even though their spec and looks are almost identical). Having said all of the above, when you do get the webcam to work, the image quality is excellent, with the inbuilt light being a great feature.

I didn’t test the microphone as I use a separate. In conclusion, the 930c is not fit for the UK market and I advise anyone considering the 930c to go and buy the 930e instead.

I have one of these and it is very impressive. The lens is wide angle and you can also zoom in. The quality of the image second to none. Take a look at my pics (taken in poor lighting conditions at night).

It also has a privacy cover, which is reassuring in this time when it is so easy for hackers to get in and turn on your cam. My son has the C922, which is built more for streaming and suits more his purpose of making live videos on YouTube.

For me, I only plan to use it for business meetings, and so is ideal for me. This is a leading business webcam with wide-angle suitable for business meetings with a number of attendees (not to mention the need to social distance at two metres, making the case for a wide angle lens).

Top-rated webcam with all the bells and whistles for those requiring a wide angle view and the ability to adjust the field of view with built in 4X zoom and lighting adjustability.

I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE 20 YEARS AGO AND THEY ALWAYS GIVE A PERFECT PICTURE AS WELL AS FOLLOWING THE FACE IMAGE. WOW!. i BOUGHT THIS SECOND HAND ONE JUST FOR ZOOM AS i NOW CANT AFFORD A NEW ONE. IT HAS WORKED PERFECTLY.

This is an oldish model now, but the picture quality is notably better than my laptop’s built-in webcam. But the laptop mike is better than this webcam’s mike, I think. 720p not full HD but it serves us well, and gets a lot of use during lockdown! Darn sight better value for money than brand new fancy HD ones with face tracking etc.

Needed to have a better camera for Zoom sessions. The Pro 9000 HD filled the bill. Good image and good audio.

I bought this webcam to use with my desktop, Windows 10. I could not get the logitech program to download on my computer, but the webcam works great anyway and I use it with messenger. The quality is very good and I am glad I got it.

Very practical and timely device during this COVID -19 pandemic; I have been able to do video chats with no problem. I recommend it.

I have had my Logitech webcam and it is still working great. It didn’t cost that much and it looks great. I had mine connected to my Dell laptop until recently, I had to purchase another laptop, a Toshiba, hooked it up, and it is still working great.

It isn’t too lightweight for me, it’s just right, it hooks on top of my laptop and doesn’t fall or come apart. I recommend this product, And it didn’t cost much either, it wasn’t expensive but it was a reasonable price.

I hope to still have it in the next few years and won’t have to replace it just yet. I got mine from amazon where they have a big selection on webcams and Logitech, to me, is one of the best brands of webcams there is.

If you’re looking for a new webcam that doesn’t cost a lot, this one is the one for you! My opinion is it is a reliable webcam. Recommended! Compatibility This is compatible with most any pc’s. Video Quality Looks and sounds great, high quality.

Easy to use just plugged into my computer and it just worked. If you want high picture quality, this is not for you, if you want adequate image and good sound, like i did , it is perfect.
