20 Best Weight For Kettlebell (2022 Updated)

I was looking to increase my weights with kettlebells and saw that this had vinyl coating. I have 10 and 15 lb kettlebells that are not coated with vinyl and there are certain kettlebell exercises that have hit against the back of my forearm.

Therefore, I made sure to look for more protective coated kettlebells, These fit the bill! I also like that there is a protective base on the bottom for the kettlebell to rest on the floor without scuffing or denting my laminate flooring.

Also, certain kettlebell sizes have sometimes been hard to find in store since the pandemic, so it was great to get the size I needed with free shipping. Some local sporting goods stores wanted to charge very high shipping prices for kettlebells.

The 20 lb. yes4all neoprene coated kettlebell I received has what appear to be seams and maybe welds. This doesn’t affect usage, as the noticeable seams are lower (nearly to the neoprene) on the handles.

Seams higher on the handle may have been ground smooth. The kettlebell still feels very sturdy.

These are first rate kettlebells. Looks great as well as great for weight training. Exactly as pictured. Weight training is great to build muscles. These are nice stepping stones before you get into heavier weights.

I am a plant powered vegan athlete and weight training does me lot of good. Gives a rich look to your home gym. I am building a gym for my regular training. These are great additions. It was delivered in 2 days with USPS Priority mail.

Came in a single package as it was well protected with Scotch tapes. I was worried how it will come due to weight but it was wonderful! They are heavy to lift 25 lbs in total. It was wonderfully packed.

The pictures of the product don’t do it justice. Well-crafted high quality product on top of the look. The big seller for me on this company though is the customer support. It is almost impossible to find a company these days who doesn’t outsource their customer support.

I purchased 2 of these 10lbs kettlebells from Tru Grit. They shipped and arrived quickly, packaging was good and survived shipping. The kettlebells themselves are really well made. The handles are smooth and required no filing or sanding.

The coating is even and consistent, no runs or missed spots. No chipping or cracking either. The bottom of these bells are flat and smooth, no rough grinding or bad casting. Can’t say enough good about them.

I would purchase again and I would highly recommend.

I am surprised and delighted to have received this kettlebell from Walmart. I ordered it thinking Walmart would never provide the item and that they would cancel my order. The $79 price tag was too good to be true for a 90 lb kettlebell.

On top of that they gave free shipping! That’s HUGE on an item of this weight. Despite my doubts, I received the kettlebell in good, but not perfect, condition. There was a ding in the finish but for a kettlebell of this size no box is going to hold it without it breaking through.

It was actually in two boxes and it still got just a bit of damage but nothing that will affect performance. This price and free shipping are the best deal you will find on a kettlebell of this weight.

Kettlebell is as expected in terms of quality, but the shipping experience left me disgusted by the seller and by FedEx. It was shipped completely unpackaged — no box, no wrap of any sort — and arrived scuffed, scratched, and dented.

How hard is it to even provide a minimal wrap for protection?? FedEx carrier unceremoniously slammed it down on my walkway and banged so ferociously on my door that he almost punched a hole through it.

This was a gift for my boyfriend, and I’m embarrassed to give it to him. Just gross.

Well, even if the title makes me sound like a teen, the Thor “kettlebell” really is pretty awesome! The detail is beautiful. I’m used to seeing renders in product photos, so I never expect the actual item to be as nice.

In this case I can report that it meets or exceeds the photos! The casting is perfect with no visible flaws in mine at all (keeping in mind that it’s powder coated). It was packed well, but I do have one very small chip in the paint.

That doesn’t concern me, though, as equipment like this gets battered in use anyway. 35 lbs is HEAVY. As a practical matter, it’s much more significant than an equivalent weight kettlebell (this is definitely not a “kettlebell”).

It’s a matter of addition leverage due to the handle, providing approximately 6″ or so additional length from the center of mass versus a kettlebell. Add in dynamic movement and you really feel the difference.

If in doubt, order lighter, because a 35 is going to be beyond many people’s ability to handle safely with any but the simplest movements It feels good in the hands. Texture is cast into the handle and the handle also has a swell at its base to help with slippage risk.

There’s crossover in both directions, but this is really much closer to a mace or clubbell than a kettlebell, though with its larger hammer head and shorter length more suited to core than shoulder work.

(Although if you do indian club or clubbell shoulder work with 35s, you’re a beast anyway. ).

First of all, I now feel like Thor when I work out because this hammer has such a cool aesthetic! This is definitely a cool idea for a kettle bell because the hammer provides a different grip and weight distribution.

It makes more of your stabilizer muscles come into play when using this because most of the weight is on the hammer head. I do feel that the grip on the hammer bar itself could of been a little better because at times I do feel like it slips from my hand.

It is very well made and I love the full black color of it. It hasn’t shown any wear or tear from constant use and I am able to use this for different types of workouts in the same way that I would use a kettle bell.

I haven’t ran into any restrictions yet. The plus to this unique kettle bell is that it makes you look like some type of super hero or warrior! I can’t say I haven’t thought about throwing it and seeing if it comes back to me haha! If you are in need of a kettle bell, definitely buy this one! You will not be disappointed!.

This “Thor” kettlebell hammer is fun and solid. I do CrossFit a few times a week and have done a lot of kettlebell workouts but this is a completely different deal. It takes a completely different grip strength to hold on to than a dumbbell or kettlebell.

We got the 35 lb and while the weight is correct, the angle that you hold it makes it much more challenging. After using it a little bit, I think it will be better with some sort of grip tape as it can get a little slick if your hand gets sweaty.

My favorite movement with the hammer is snatch. Taking it from the floor to overhead makes you feel powerful and a little reckless. We’re very happy that we found these and would recommend them for certain use cases. However, if you purchase the Kettle Gryp expecting it to function exactly like a traditional kettlebell, you will be disappointed.

For swings and farmers carries this product works just fine, but other movements are awkward. We tested with both straight and ergo handled dumbbells and it locks the weight in place firmly on both. If you don’t have the space/budget for some kettlebells, intend on using kettlebells infrequently, or want to test the waters before committing, I would buy this product.

I’ve been lifting for about 40 years now. Mostly free weights and some machines. Don’t like gimmicks or most “As Seen On TV”. Saw these on Shark Tank and got myself a pair. Quite pleased; got another pair for my teenage grandson.

Pros: Can use this anywhere, it is durable and fairly inexpensive. Cons: -The handle does not handle sweat that great. Would be nice it had same type of grip/resistance/rubber added to the handle -When trying to increase weight say beyond 20lbs, run into the issue of the dumbbell rubbing against the plastic.

Needs a longer neck or a wider frame. -This works best with hexagon shaped weights, not round weights. Difficult to keep the gryp upwards when using round weights. Would be nice if the connection had some type of rubber sealant to ensure the best hold for various dumbells.

I love the kettlebells’ texture that helps with the grip. I have large hands and I’m able to maneuver them without any issues. My wife has smaller hands and she is able to use the texture to help grip better without hurting her hands.

The bright bold numbers is a nice touch from my other bland equipment. The shelf I thought would be an after though, but it really has helped when I need to move spaces to workout or to put them away.

I think I need to buy another one!.

These kettlebells are helping me regain my health and fitness. I found a 15 minute routine on YouTube and my ability to get in outdoor walk I am able to close my exercise ring on my Apple Watch. I am competing with my daughters to motivate each other to take care since the pandemic has removed our comfort in going to the gym.

in my opinion, this particular weight looks a lot classier than the less expensive one. I like the darker finish and the lettering. I use a Glow 42″ Beauty Dish, on a light stand and a Godox ab600 flash.

its an extremely top heavy set up the suggested counter weight is about 20 lb so the 25lb allows you to have confidence shooting photography on a windy day. you wont need someone to hold your light stand.

Also its hard for someone to run off with your equipment if it anchored. I need eight of these and they are out of stock.

If you plan to get serious about kettlebells you may want to spend a bit more. The handles were smooth on 4 of the 5 I bought. One could have used a bit more sanding. The coating is fine and the bells are comfortable in the rack position.

They are sized in pounds instead of the more common KG but they have similar sizes you need. Overall they do the job for my needs.

Its perfectly sized for the friend it was purchased for. A great addition for toning up the body!

I am so disappointed with this for reasons that encompass the surface, the very design, the materials used on the lower half, and the poor manufacture. I had seen the reviews which state that the handle is rough and uncomfortable (whereupon at least one reviewer was told to wear gloves), but so too is the spherical body.

If you are doing a one-arm clean and press, this means that not only does the handle first have to swivel through your hand, but the sphere itself then has contact with your upper arm/shoulder and all this is like being rubbed with sandpaper.

It is not just the rough surface which makes it painful to use, however. Because it is a sphere (rather than having flattened areas, like other kettlebells, where the designation of the 8 kg would sit) it is so awkward and so incredibly uncomfortable to hold against the upper arm/shoulder that I have found it unusable.

A further point concerns the manufacture. The groove within which the plastic blue band sits has not been uniformly cast, with the result that band protrudes significantly from the surface in one extended place.

This means that the band easily rolls down if you move it against your body. Lastly, I understand that the black material applied to the lower part and underside of this kettlebell marks floors. This means that I cannot even use it as a doorstop on the wooden floor! (Which I had seriously considered, given that I cannot use it for the exercises I would like.

) I therefore need to return it but it is Lockdown and I have no idea when I will be able to get to the nearest store (at some distance from me). I really regret this purchase.

This is a departure from normal kettlebell designs and it shows why the other are not designed this way. The bell places tremendous pressure on the outer forearm by the wrist when in the racked position from which an overhead press is performed ( a pretty standard exercise ).

The hand hole is too large, both too wide and too high above the bell. It is painful to press it. It also isn’t good for cleaning or snatching. The bell can swing around to much in the hand on the end of that oversized handle.

Overall, if you only want to perform swings, it is OK. If you want to row it or dead lift it it is fine. I am going to spend the money on a better quality bell when I move up to 40lbs.

I have been using this Kettlebell and the 16kg, 12kg, & 8kg versions for over a month now. I like how the bottom of the Kettlebell has padding and this helps protect my floor at home. The wide square-shaped handle of this Kettlebell is very good for certain exercises where you need to grip the kettlebell by the horns.

However, for some movements such as Swings, the square handle sometimes rubs against your thighs and you need to adjust your grip or stance to accommodate the wider handle. For movements like snatches or cleans, sometimes your hand gets into the corder of the handle; the 90° corner of the handle where the horn meets the top handle.

This can be a bit uncomfortable to grip and can tire your hands when you are doing longer exercies. This is where the traditional handle is superior, as there is no pinching of your fingers as there is no corner on the handle.

Overall, the kettlebells are good value & great for home use, but if one is looking for a kettlebell for heavy use, please take into account how you will be using this as the handle may not be ideal for some exercieses.

I was looking to upgrade from my 24kg bell (from Rogue) and came across Titan, a brand I wasn’t familiar with. I pulled the trigger on the 28kg primarily because it was really good value all in after factoring in shipping costs which were prohibitively high with other retailers/manufacturers.

I had no idea if the product would be good quality, but was pleasantly surprised, and the number one reason is the coating on the bell. It’s not slick and smooth like my Rogue or other bells I’ve used, but has a mild grit to it that is *perfect* in my opinion.

I’ll never need chalk due to the bell slipping, but it’s not like it’s cutting up my hands either. I’ll definitely be expanding my collection with more Titan kettlebells.

I was given a Titan 100lb kettlebell as a retirement gift. I had just ordered one a few days prior from Titan. I didn’t need two so I called to cancel with Titan. Their customer service couldn’t have been better.

I have kettlebells from Rep Fitness, Kettlebell Kings, Body Solid, and VTX. Titan is the nicest of them all. The white lettering stands out very nicely. Kettlebell is well made with no flaws. If ordering more kettlebells in future they will be Titan for sure.

Not only are 5lb kettlebells EXTREMELY rare but any KB under 8kg seems to have handles for kids only. I use this while watching TV to stretch sore muscles. Also have 10 and 15 lb right next to my bed.

I placed my order for four kettlebells. I was informed a week later that two of the kettlebells were no longer available. When my shipment arrived, instead of receiving the remaining two weights, I received only one.

Maybe I could have looked past this, but the one weight that was sent was badly beat up. The packaging didn’t cover the kettlebell so the weight was incredibly scratched. I am very dissapointed at (1) the Everlast inventory system (2) the complete disregard for packaging (3) the lack of effort to remedy the situation.

I love this kettlebell. So glad I managed to get one before they sold out. It’s easy to hold and not a bulky, cumbersome and plastic like the original one l bought and returned from another shop. Wish I got the 10 & 12kg also.

I was excited to receive my Vinyl Coated 35-lb KB from Everlast. While the handle is scuffed and the red vinyl has a slice in it, it still works as it was intended! 😉 I was shocked how difficult it was to find available workout equipment after my gym closed.

Everlast dug deep into its warehouse to find a KB for me, and in this time of scare workout equipment – the KB may be a little scuffed, but so am I. It’s perfect just the way it is. Thank you Everlast!.

This is a nice kettlebell. One drawback is that the handle is a bit grippy (which is mentioned in their paperwork. ). However, it was tough on my hands for the first few times of use, because as you swing it, it rubs.

Think that my hands are getting tougher and the handle is wearing just a bit. Over all I like it.

Well dimensioned, nice flat bottom and well sized grip. I like the texture of the handle. Not too rough and not slippery once you break a sweat

As a kettlebell instructor, I appreciate good quality kettlebells and this one definitely qualifies. Excellent kettlebell and I received it in good time with no problems.

I purchased these kettlebells after browsing the store, not even intending to purchase exercise equipment. I found a pair of 20kg(44. 1 lbs) bells, granted this is during the pandemic where most places sell out quick.

I’ve been using kettlebells for about 4-5 years now and most of my training/exercise is using kettlebells. I already own several of them too for home training. I use them for both kettlebell specific exercises/workouts, i.

e. KB swings, snatches, cleans, etc. , and for the more traditional exercises/workouts, i. e. chest press, squats, OHP, that you normally use DBs and BBs for. I am very surprised by the quality of these bells.

Not just from a material stand point, but the dimensions/specifications of them. They are excellent for anyone who is interested in incorporating KBs into their training long term. So, if you’re interested in working on KB snatches, cleans, and just overall technique, I would suggest getting either one KB or a pair, to see if you’re interested in them.

These bells are similar to most companies that sell KBs, which is why these are great for newcomers. The hand insertion, racking them, the size/dimensions of the bell and handle, the transfer of technique is there, whether it’s hardstyle or competition style, if you ever switch to a different manufacturer of KBs for home or at a gym.

Again, these are great for newcomers, advanced KB users, and even trainers, whether it be for personal use or for your own facility to train others. Things to note with the feel of them, like the material, they’re similar to most cast iron KBs.

If you don’t know what that feels like, it’s like what cast iron barbell plates feel like. Luckily they don’t have that slick, and what I call, “candy shell” casting/coating to them that some KBs have.

They feel like most other cast iron KB manufacturers like Onnit or Rogue. But, because they have that feel, they feel a bit slick whenever you sweat a lot and go for long sessions. So, use chalk when you need to help mitigate that.

The price of these bells are a tad on the high side, especially since I bought a pair. Again, because of Covid and availability of other equipment from other fitness companies, both for online or in store purchase, I had to take the opportunity.

If you’re not very interested in committing to incorporating bells into your training, this may not be the best investment for you. I know I most people are interested in doing double handed swings to start off if they’re new to KBs, these will not be as comfortable for you if all you are going to do are double handed swings, I would suggest investing into something like a Bulgarian bag, because it will give you a very similar workout to KB swings, or just find them someplace cheaper, because most of the cheaper bells have wider handles.

The width of the handle will leave your pinky fingers a bit off to the sides. This isn’t a con against the KBs though, because most KBs and KB manufacturers are made for single hand swings because the exercises are mostly single handed/armed exercises.

You can do double handed swings with these bells, but you will have to adapt to the different grip or not being able to “death grip” them. Overall, great investment for beginners or individuals who are on the fence that want to get into KBs, and great for seasoned users who just want more toys to play around with either at home or for their own gym/facilities.

I would advise for a active males, who have pretty decent amount of lifting experience or just general strength exercises, who are interested, probably start with 12-16kg, for active females of similar experience, start with 8-12kg.

I’m giving these ranges because these are kind of a sweet spot for newcomers to KBs, it’s low enough weight to not overwhelm your technique and properly perform KB specific exercises, but it’s enough weight to help you get the technique down at the same time and get in enough muscle stimulus.

For those not interested though, these KBs may be a bit pricey for you if you don’t take advantage of the variety of KB specific exercises. You can still do “conventional” exercises with them, but you would probably be better off investing in a traditional set of dumbbells or a barbell for that.

Bought about a month ago to match another one. This has a good grip and works well. The only drawback I had was when received, the kettlebell was marred and had some sort of paint or discoloration on it.

Dick’s needs to have more quality control before sending out their products.

What can I say – it’s a cast iron kettlebell. Fairly indestructible unless you drop it on something hard. The finish has some texture to it which helps with grip. The handle is not much wider than the ball, so if you have really big hands it might be tough to do swings.

Otherwise I think it’s very expensive for what it is but I wanted to buy something in store *today* so that’s the trade-off. You can definitely get a comparable product for way cheaper at various online retailers if you are more patient.

I am in my first experience with kettlebells. I started Enter the Kettlebell a few months ago and casually worked on my form and strength with swings and get-ups. I started with the 35lb version of the diamond pro.

It was an excellent starter. Moving up in weight has presented some challenges which aren’t necessarily bad. First of all – the handle on the 53lb is significantly thicker than the 35. I like this because of grip strength and it is a new challenge.

Again, this is my first set so i do not know if these features are typical. Second – is something that was present in the 35lb but the larger size and weight of the 53 made it noticable to me. That is the flat stamp imprint on either side of the bell.

When I press the edge seems to push into my arm quite a bit and is notably uncomfortable. I feel that having one side that is completely round like a ball would eliminate this as the pain doesn’t occur if I position my arm to either side of the flat stamp.

otherwise it is a great tool and takes chalk well. I am also prone to more callouses with the larger handle of the 53.

Excellent quality bells. I’m an RKC-certified instructor who has been training with bells for over 9 years now. I’ve always had Dragon Door bells, but tried these out after the advice of a friend. I bought double 70lb bells and have done deadlifts and swings with them.

The handle needs to be sanded down for swings, but after sanding, they’re good to go. By far the best non-Dragon Door bell I’ve used for the price! I just bought some double 44lb bells to see how they will do in a rack position against the wrist so the verdict is out on that.

At less than $2 a pound this is a great value. Its a quality Bell at an above average cost savings. I’ve been training with kettlebells for some time now and needed more of a challenge moving from single arm movements to doubles.

The quality and inexpensive investment of the Diamond Pro has allowed me to do so comfortably. I’ll be purchasing more from this brand in the near future.

The Gorilla (32 kg) Primal Bell is fantastic. It is a work of art. It is fully functional, but the main reason to buy something like this is not just that you need a 32 kg bell. You can find a less expensive option that will still have 32 kg of mass, and be well-balanced, etc.

This is a bell for people that love kettlebells, and want an inspiring piece that elevates a savage spirit in training. It is awesome to show off – visitors that come to train with you will love it. As I said, not the bell I would tell someone to buy as their first kettlebell, but for people that love them, this is a great, functional piece of art.

The balance is great for swings and getups. You have to think ahead on cleans and snatches though – make sure the face of the gorilla is pointed away from you when it comes to rest or you will really regret it.

I’m not strong enough to do bottoms up with the Gorilla, but it is well balanced, and it might work for that. But, again, this is a product that is less about being just another 32 kg bell and more about being art and inspiration.

Recently bought the Primal “Chimp” KB and I Love it! The mold is actually really impressive with the detail and you can feel the quality when you pick it up. I’ve already got a few workouts in with this KB and for most everything I’ve encountered so far it’s great! I have found for exercises where you need to hold it be the bell or low on the horns it can get just a little awkward/ uncomfortable with how far he ears stick out.

The handle is a nice diameter and comfortable. However, I have noticed it can start to get a little slick once you really start to work up a sweat. Overall all amazing product and I am really happy with the purchase! Looking to expand the collection soon!.

I usually swing a 35 or 40 lb kettlebell. I’ve had my eye on this particular kettlebell for years because it looks so mean, but I’ve been cautious about swinging something so much heavier than my usual.

I definitely cannot go through my entire routine with this kettlebell, but I’ve found that I can swing it, especially with both hands. It takes much more focus to swing it to make sure my form is correct.

I don’t want to injure my back, which I think could happen pretty easy swinging something so heavy with bad form. The best benefit is I get fatigued much faster and I’m already building strength to swing it longer.

I’m happy with it.

I love this kettlebell. I’ve been using it for about a month and a half and find it very useful for a lot of exercises that can sometimes be difficult with bulkier dumbbells. I only have one and find I don’t need another one as of yet but hope to progress and eventually purchase a second.

This is a great equipment to keep either at home or use at the gym. The kettle bell is a good tool to use when you require weights for various exercises. Using individually would be boring as I have found but as an equipment for Circuit Training and the likes, it is awesome.

Be careful if you cant handle weights. Use under supervision. And use both hands please.

I have a 30lb kettle bell. It is heavy and solid. It is perfect for kettle bell swings and squats. I’m using it for a few moves while do the 80 Day Obsession workout. It works as expected and I would purchase heavier bells of the same brand in the future.

I love this kettle bell. Evenly coated and balanced, feels good in my hand and swings at a stable pace.

Please do not purchase from this brand ! Be patient and go purchase in Rogue. I purchased a 60 lb kettlebell and they sent me an email saying that I was going to get an upgrade for my purchase and instead I received an used kettlebell that was beaten up and pilling off.

It looks used. It was super disappointing and they’re more expensive than rogue. Never going to spend a single penny again with power systems.

I just got my kettlebells a week ago. They are great and well made. No complaints at all with them. They were also packaged very well and came without any marks or chips. I wish I could say the same for the pair I ordered from Dicks sporting goods.

These are wonderful kettlebells with rubber bottoms that allow them to be used on a variety of surfaces w/o concern over damage to flooring. Only reason for a four-star review here is we actually got THE last 55# Ultra KB as they have discontinued this size/wt.

We also have a variety of other sizes and all have been AMAZING.

I like how intense these little things can make a workout. It doesn’t seem like much but it really changed the game. I like that they’re easy to store and wipe down to clean while really upping ones workout.

Ten pounds is a good place to start if you’re at least somewhat familiar with and working with weighted workout products.

These are good size for the weight and the handles are proper size too. They are vinyl/plastic covered concrete, not iron or steel. Only dislike is the plastic handle is rough at the seam where the molds come together.

It may scratch your hand a bit if you are swinging the kettlebell and it shifts in your hand. Other than that, great value.
