20 Best Weight Gain Vitamins (2022 Updated)

I was looking for a natural gainer that my 14yr old son would like enough to drink regularly. He’s a bean pole and is involved in track – but there’s just no fat to convert for energy (which means his body would be looking at using his muscle – urgh).

The DR even made it a point to mention his low BMI. The problem I have with most the mass gainers is that they’re chock full of unnatural or suspect ingredients, like aspartame – things I don’t want my kids to be eating regularly.

I like the ingredients in this AND both my boys LOVE the taste. They like it so much that they don’t forget to drink it. I don’t have to remind them, ever. That’s huge bc we’re in that fostering responsible independence stage.

So, I’m stoked. I got the French Vanilla bc I thought with as much as he needs to be drinking it, it might be more versatile than the chocolate. I’m glad I did bc it tastes like ice cream and he loves it in both milk (plain cow and chocolate almond) and juice.

Just adds more options, keeps him from getting too bored with it. Mixes better than most. I add a little liquid to the the 2 huge scoops and beat it with a fork, then I add the rest of the liquid. It’d be even easier with the proper cup (with a wire metal ball).

When I’m rushed and the boys end up with a lot of the mix still on the sides of the cup they scrape it off and eat it; they like the taste that much. I just don’t think you can go wrong with this gainer.

My elderly father had a hard time eating enough, and started falling in part because he got weak from not eating and drinking enough. It got so bad that he ended up in the ER and then was admitted as inpatient.

At the hospital, they started giving him Ensure and said he should continue drinking it once he goes back home. I showed the hospital nutritionist the contents of the MRM Gainer to see if that would work instead, and she said it was almost exactly the same thing as insure, except that it’s even better since it has probiotics.

My 18 year old son is taking it as part of his body building diet and loves the chocolate taste (I don’t subscribe to that purpose but I’m encouraged by the fact that it’s the same thing as Ensure).

EAT MORE is extremely hard on the digestive system. I gave this product three weeks and immediately noted that within 5-10 of injesting, I had the worst heartburn of my life. I tried eliminating anything else that may be causing this nightmare but at the end of the day, it was this product that has been causing me so much grief.

I purchased it twice in order to give a fair review. The company should reimburse me for the waste of my limited money as I am on disability. On a final note, my appetite never increase and I never gained an ounce even after taking it religiously for three weeks.

I have 4 children 3 of which are under 2 yrs old and as a SAHM who is self employed and runs two family operated businesses full time you can imagine how busy I am. Due to post partum hormones and my schedule I lacked an appetite and lost 40 lbs within a month and a half.

After trying protein shakes and force feeding myself with no success I purchased two bottles of eat more and got through a week of taking these. I followed the suggested use information and I gained 6 lbs in one week.

I stopped taking them after that just because I became even more busy but my appetite remains and I have continued to gain weight. It has been three weeks since I’ve stopped taking these pills and I have gained an additional 15 lbs.

These work with zero side effects!!.

Im a fitness/bodybuilding enthusiast in my 40s and have always been the typical “hard gainer” low appetite etc. This works for me. Im surprised actually. It def had an immediate effect but it really started working after being on it for a week or so.

I tried 1 am, one before dinner and it worked good but I would get hungry in my sleep & wake up. Taking 1 or 2 in the am keeps me eating all day now. ADD PANCREATIN (digestive enzymes) @ 1500-3000mgs/day AM.

They work wonders together! I digest faster and now that its been a few weeks, my stomach can handle more food per meal too.

I’ve been trying to gain weight for about 4 years, being 6ft and weighting 9st (57kg) and I was very skinny for my form, I had decided to go hard this time and my gym friend recommended this particular powder over other ones I had been previously trying as he said it had helped people with similar issues to gain weight.

So I started Gym again with this shake (two scoops on a morning on rest days and 2×2 scoops morning and after gym sessions) and within a week started to notice results. Now results wont just come from gym and this shake if you’re like me, I’ve had to stick between 3500 – 5000 calories daily, with high carb high protein foods (as lean as possible meat) and a healthy side of multivitamins.

The result is I gained 11 pounds (5kg) in 4 weeks, which for me was mind boggling. So if you feel it’s extremely hard to gain weight and are looking around, contemplate giving this a try, eat healthy and work out, I can almost promise this will work.

It is hard work though, and it will cost a bit more monthly, but I feel better right now mentally and physically than I ever have in my life.

Not sure why people don’t like the vanilla I love it!!! Just now as excited to try the other flavours of vanilla is said to be the worst ha! I absolutely love this shake and how much calories I can get from just one drink!! I struggle to gain weight (appetite and fast metabolism issues) and this is THE best I have ever tried.

I love how it does not have all of that nonsense thickening agents (guar gum, xanthan gum, etc) that makes protein shakes taste terrible! I hate the slippery and heavy texture it gives so I am absolutely thrilled that I found this one that has none of those nasty ingredients! Please don’t ever change the formulation it’s perfect!!.

It does what it’s supposed to as long as you follow the servings. This is my second time using it consistently first time me starting weighing at 6’1 145. 8 months of lifting and drinking these daily.

Sometimes 2 full serving shakes in one day. I managed to put on 45 pounds without looking fat. I had just kinda bulked up. I started a new job so I lost the consistency. But recently picked it back up in April.

And I’ve managed to put on almost 10 pounds in 2 months. Doing the same thing as the first time. Drinking 1-2 a day and going to the gym and blasting myself. Be weary though, it’s a bit rough on the taste, I always try to add a good amount of ice to mine I think it helps the chocolate go down.

I also noticed that on my first time through my cholesterol was elevated from around month 6 til I stopped taking it. I assume because I was beating on my body for a while that’s why it started to elevate.

This is probably best used for a 2-3 month time span.

Serious Mass has helped me to go from 159 lbs. to 167 lbs. in about 2 months, and that is with half a serving a day. I went from 153 lbs. to 159 lbs. by eating more and strength training and then hit a wall.

At 55 years and 5’9″ I simply couldn’t eat the amount of food required to gain more weight and strength. And as long as I still see gains while working out I will continue to go with half a serving a day.

I blend a handful of frozen strawberries and frozen sliced banana with 12 oz of cold water until smooth, add half a serving of Serious Mass, blend it and then add 12 oz of whole milk for another short burst.

This results in a good tasting drink that is not frothy. I take it to work in a thermos bottle and usually finish it within 5 hours. Blending it with just water left an aftertaste that I didn’t like too much.

I have been using ON Whey Protein since I started working out, one serving with 12 oz of whole milk in the morning with breakfast, and then one serving with 8 oz of cold water 30 minutes after my workout in the evening.

Serious Mass is a great addition that has been helping me meet my daily protein goals, gain weight and strength at the same time.

The last time I used this product was in 2014. I see they’ve changed the label since then. But it looks like they’re still making disingenuous claims. Like, 5000 calories? Sure, if you mix one third of the jug with 1 gallon of whole milk.

Who is going to drink all that in one day? And then they say it contains “anabolics” like Deer Antler and Yohimbe. LOL, you call those real anabolics? And even if that stuff is beneficial, do you really think they’d add enough of it to make a difference? It reminds me of bottled ice teas saying they contain ginkgo biloba or pomegranate, but the amount they give you is so miniscule it ain’t gonna accomplish anything.

My other complaint about this product is the cheap carbs. They act like glucose is high-tech, LOL. And then they say it contains “milk solids” for protein. OK, but is it whey or casein? And if it’s whey, what KIND of whey? Isolate, concentrate, or what? Why can’t they tell us? Frankly, I think the main reason people buy this stuff is the whole “Russian” allure, like as if it contains some super-secret Russian steroids or something, LOL.

I mean come on, there are MUCH better products out there. For approximately the same price per pound, you could get Ultimate Nutrition Iso Mass Xtreme Gainer, which has MUCH better ingredients. Or MHP Up Your Mass, which contains complex carbs from oats and barley.

Do not waste your money on this product. This product is now absolutely horrible. It was good before they changed the formula. They took out & lowered some vitamins and minerals. They also lowered the protein & calorie content.

It was called Russian Bear 5000 because when mixed as directed you got 5000 calories per gallon of whole milk when mixed with 5 scoops. I usually got 4 to 5 gallons from one container. You got 184 or so grams of protein mostly from egg whites & healthy fats from coconut mcts.

There was no added sugar & no fat – it even contained molybdenum. When used as directed you’d have a gallon of the stuff ready made so it was easy to just drink a cup of it or make a shake or even pancakes or bread with it.

It was even good with fat free milk, coconut, or almond milk. It was a great product. Now you don’t get 5000 calories, you don’t get 184 gms of protein, you don’t get molybdenum & other stuff. They almost completely changed the formula of something that worked for over 20 years.

Now its just powder. that makes you pee for some reason. I actually just threw 2 sealed canisters in the trash along with a half full one. They f@!%ed up. I recommended it before, but not anymore. I told them this on their website too.

This stuff is the best. I use it as a meal replacement when I don’t have time to cook or am running around. It has calories, MCT’s simple carbs and it taste great. It’s been around forever. If you follow directions and train hard with a lot of compounds you’ll reap awards.

Old school, I love it. Oh, and combine it with the Russian Bear tablets and Russian Bear Nitro, it’s a trifecta of gains.

I’ve been using this product (chocolate) for years to add more muscle quicker while I work out. I have gained 25 lbs of muscle as a result 🙂 It tastes great too. I mix mine with milk, vanilla ice cream, and 3 scoops of Serious Massin a 72 oz.

Ninja blender. I highly recommend this product and GNC sells it at a good price. Oh, and it comes with a scoop in the bag. Save your scoop as sometimes but not very often the one you get somehow gets sunk down to the bottom of the bag.

It is a very fine powder and you’ll make a mess trying to get that buried scoop out.

I don’t know if it was just me personally, but when I take my dose, it makes the subsequent sip of water taste like blood. Fair warning! But that’s my only complaint. Otherwise, this is an amazing supplement.

I’ve dealt with iron deficiency anemia, severely low ferritin levels with low-normal iron, for over 1. 5 years now. My symptoms are very severe. I’m currently taking the highest dose of ferrous sulfate by prescription, but the side effects of nausea and constipation are horrid.

Taking that twice a day is very rough. I was recommended by a medical professional to take BloodBuilder daily as a booster to the heavy ferrous dosage to help with the side effects and help absorb the iron as it has superfoods and vitamin C.

And it did!! I’m back to being regular again whilst still taking my prescription. I found this very helpful for the chronic anemia because it allows me to get my levels up even higher without feeling sick to my stomach.

It’s great as a standalone for someone with mild to moderate anemia, but I don’t recommend this as a substitute for someone with severely low levels, it’s not enough iron to combat dangerous lows by itself.

All in all, it’s a very great addition to the medicine cabinet.

I have Chronic Iron Deficiency Anemia and I have to get infusions once a year, sometimes twice depending. I wasn’t able to take the prescription iron so I do infusions, not a fan of that either, so I decided to try Blood Builder.

Almost six months into taking this along with the multivitamin for women over 40, I went to my hematologist for my routine bloodwork. I am used to getting tons of “red marks” on my blood work saying that so many things are off and levels are low.

My iron is a major problem and has been since I was young however since I found Blood Builder and your multi vitamin, I now only have two levels that are slightly low. It used to be 8 to 10 levels that were off and I felt terrible all the time, every day.

I have had a lifetime of low iron then I had some bleeding issues and doctor prescribed Iron pills. I was so constipated and had the worse stomach aches and it didn’t raise my iron levels at all! I took those for over a month with NO improvement.

I don’t remember how I found out about Blood Builder, but I took it for a week before going for a checkup and my iron levels have never been so high! It was finally in the high normal range! I have been using Blood Builder for years now.

I have been using this product for the past 3 years and I can honestly say that it works and pretty fast if you ask me. I am currently back on it and have gained about 15 pounds in a little over 5 weeks time.

I don’t eat enough so I eat something light with this shake (ie:Turkey sandwich, babana) so that’s 1200 added calories with the calories consumed from the meal. I even feel like it triggers my appetite as I find myself wanting to eat more while on it.

I like the fact that it doesn’t give me gas let’s be honest lol. I almost always use almond milk as a mixer and a banana or two but if I hv to get groceries I have mixed with only water and felt just fine.

The powder mixes very well and easy to control the consistency. I would most def recommend this product to anyone who struggles with being able to eat enough calories or even those who just sometimes don’t have an appetite.

Prior to trying the Super Mass Gainer Rich Chocolate powder, I hadn’t yet had the pleasure of experiencing any Dymatize products. I was far from disappointed with the Rich Chocolate mix. I tried Dymatize for the same reason I have tried several other shake powders: to make up for the protein I lack with a meatless diet.

While I used marginally less in my daily mixtures than the serving suggestion (I cut the measurements down to 1/4), the desired effect was reached. Even at 1/4 of the serving size, I was ingesting 13g of protein a day from the Dymatize powder alone! That’s more than I usually get in a single serving of typical vegetarian meat substitutes.

It also gave me the perfect amount of B12 and iron, which can also be difficult to find in a supplement. It surpassed my expectations by combining all of my most important nutritional needs into one shake! Here’s where it really shined.

This powder is unusual in that it mixed EXTREMELY well. It took me only a minute or two of shaking for most of the powder to dissolve. Let it be noted that while I did add the higher amount of water recommended (in my conversion, I used the higher ratio of 32:8 fluid ounces as opposed to the lower ratio 24:8; in other words, Dymatize suggests using 24-32 fl oz of water with your mixture, and I used a full 32 to convert down to 8), it still mixed much better than I expected.

The flavor was also great. It reminds me of hot chocolate, minus the heat. Final thoughts: I can be picky with my protein shakes. I know I need them, and for cost efficacy have toughed it out with more than a few less-than-liked brands, but Dymatize was no issue at all.

I looked forward to my morning cup of Rich Chocolate, and look forward to new flavors by Dymatize in the future. I think I finally found a new favorite!.

I have the Gourmet Vanilla and it tastes AMAZING. It’s not chalky like most others I’ve tried in the past. It also makes me energetic and I love that. I only gave it 4 stars because I find that it’s not the easiest to mix (I mix with milk).

There’s usually little clumps in it no matter how many times I shake and stir. Other than that, I love this product!! Highly recommend the vanilla flavor.

I have never reviewed a product before but this one deserves it. I have always had trouble putting on weight and this did the trick and fastttt. I ordered it to test it out because i wanted a weight gainer that had a ton of protein and little fat and sugar, and this was what i found.

In the week and a half it took to kill the tub i put on 4 pounds of solid muscle. Take it before bed every night. Just about to order 3 more. Taste isnt good but what do you expect packing 60 grams of protein into a shake, just suck it up and pound it who cares.

Read up on what the side effects of Stevia Extract are before using this product. Stevia is known to lower blood pressure and lower blood sugar. I stopped using this product after experiencing dizziness from a sudden drop in blood pressure after drinking a glass of orange juice in the morning.

It’s not worth it. It’s not worth the pressure headaches and inability to stay focused at work.

I really like this supplement because the company has been around for 30 years and brand that is very unknown like other brands more popular such as Muscle Tech , BSN Supplements, MusclePharm. Heatlhy ‘N Fit is amazing brand , there website has lots variety of other supplements to sell.

This Tremendously is a good Product if you really like the product, I stick to the same product.

So back in October, I purchased a couple bottles of Vitamode by EVLution nutrition and a bottle of bodybuilding. come signature multi vitamins for a replacement for another Multi vitamin i had been taking for a long time that was just getting way to expensive.

I started taking the Vitamode vitamins first and loved them. I recently decided to try out the bodybuilding. com signature vitamins since i noticed they had a sale on them and was looking to possibly get some more but wanted to test them out first before buying multiple bottles.

After about 3 days of taking them, i started breaking out in a rash all over my body. As it turns out, the bodybuilding. com signature vitamins have Nickel in them and the other multi vitamins i have taken in the past does not.

I stopped taking them immediately and after about a week and a half of discontinued use and Benadryl 4 times a day, the rash is completely gone. Also one thing to note is when i discontinued the bodybuilding.

com multi vitamins, I switched back to the EVLution Vitamode and continued to take those and the rash still went away. I believe and talking with my friend that is a dermatologist and the Urgent care doctor i went to see, it was an allergic reaction caused by the Nickel.

So with all that being said, I still believe the bodybuilding. com signature vitamins are good vitamins. The short time I was using them, i felt great, the same as when i was taking the Vitamode vitamins.

Its just unfortunately, I can’t take them due to the nickel allergy I never knew i had. If not for that, these would be my new go to daily multi vitamins. 🙂 I would still recommend giving them a try but just be aware if you have a Nickel allergy, you may wanna pass on them.

Over all, i will still give them a 10 and suggest trying them (again, not if you have allergy to Nickel haha).

I started taking a multi vitamin because I would get colds or not feel good more often than my friends. I was in college and didn’t eat very well and my circadian rhythm was always off. Ever since I started taking these I have yet to get sick or even a head cold.

Other things in my life changed too but I definitely think this had a helping hand. And with lifting 4 days on one day off this can’t hurt my goal of trying to build more muscle. I take this along with the Vitamin D3 by signature together everyday with my first meal.

I tend to chew them up also for better absorption but I’m not sure if that helps or not.

Been using these vitamins on and off for years and to be honest I keep going back to them and I’ve decided to stick with them as i’ve found none better. some of the RDA % levels are through the roof but this helps me with my training, hectic work routine and even Celiacs disease.

You won’t find a better multi vitamin. Be aware, the pill is quite a big pill to swallow but you do get used to it. the dosage is 2 pills per day so a bottle lasts 45 days if taken continuiously.

I started using Pro Gainer in 2014 while deployed and it was the best mass gainer I have ever used. Being deployed, it was hard to eat the food as they were not very good and we worked long hours in the heat so gaining weight was nearly impossible.

The taste was fantastic and the price is reasonable. Pro Gainer gave me the size and strength I always wanted and I use it every now and then to help me bulk.

I was hesitant buying this product due to the fact thinking this will be just another gritty and chunky balled up power drink. I was completely wrong. I use this for post work out mixed with milk. The price might deter others from buying but it is really worth it.

Most noticeable things are not being bloated, tastes very good (double chocolate) and very smooth. Going to try their other gainers and hopefully it’s the same consistency and flavorful.

Complementary blending of vitamins, minerals & antioxidants in amounts that body can assimilate to best advantage. I noticed significant improvement in my energy & awareness shortly after I started taking this product.

Cannot over stress my appreciation for this product.

Ive been using this product for almost 15 years along with my other supplement extra antioxidant Fern-C vitamins and it keeps me going all day. I only take one dose. $$$ but worth the money. Im 65 yrs old and I wont be carrying all my money on the other side of this world when Im gone.

I have used Usana Essentials for years. I can’t use the minerals because it has iodine in it and I take thyroid medicine; don’t take iodine if you take thyroid medication; But I like the Essentials vitamins.

Very nice flavour, mixes well but not as easily as some other shakes the texture isn’t bad and Applied Nutrition has nailed the vanilla ice cream flavour In comparison to other brands it is not overwhelmingly sweet but it is sweet for sure.

Quick delivery, however the bag was torn upon delivery and leaked powder everywhere. Vanilla flavor is extremely sweet regardless of how much water/milk you use. So sweet in fact that it makes you feel sick.

The gains and results were good though.

Been using a while, good quality mass gainer with decent results. Chocolate flavour has changed recently and is much creamer.
